Hibiscus, meanwhile, had run off into the distance! This...this feeling of dread and angst was too much for her to handle! Normally, Surface Gems like herself didn't need to deal with so many horrific memories rushing back at once like this! The entire realistic experience of losing her friend again spooked her so badly, that she was having difficulty coping.

The poor Pearl ended up in the middle of the nearby forest, scared and alone.

"HIBISCUS! HIBISCUS! WHERE'D YOU GO?!" Steven shouted with absolutely no luck. "This is bad. This is really, REALLY bad..." The boy ran back to his house in a hurry, hoping to get some help finding the lost Pearl.

The alarm continued to blast inside of Pearl's brain! It was obvious that Hibiscus was freaking out entirely...with absolutely NO WAY to deal with the extra anxiety.

Pearl looked in all directions...attempting to find anything that would snuff out the horrific din.

A new panel Pearl had never seen before rose from the floor. "Please select an option!" The brain's computer chirped happily.

On the panel were only four things- a yellow button, a microphone, a sihouette of a spear, and another button colored in a horrific shade of black.

Pearl was entirely confused. She figured that the spear should be avoided entirely. "(Fight and flight response...)." The Gem mumbled to herself. "Hmm..." She pressed the yellow button.

"Thank you for your decision! Have a nice day!" The computer was not terribly helpful as the panel retreated back into the floor.

"Wait! Wait! What did I just do?!" Pearl screamed in a panic!

All the lights suddenly dimmed.

"Oh STARS..."

A massive piece of machinery quickly lowered from the white ceiling...

...

...and immediately began projecting movies onto one of the blank walls. Random clips slowly went by...a puppy, a field of grass, whale sound, the cosmos...

A classical piece of music played...not unlike that of Bach.

"What the-?! What IS this?" Pearl was completely baffled!

Hibiscus began to calm down from her anxiety attack. Peaceful thoughts of nature filled her mind. Exhausted, the Pearl nodded to herself.

"Protocol 1...an excellent choice! Good job host...good job..." Hibiscus laid on top of the foliage absolutely exhausted. The Gem began to nap.

By the time the Crystal Gems re-located their friend, the sun was setting. Garnet was the one to find her- the poor overwhelmed Hibiscus had fallen asleep under some leaves.
