Luz was laying on the couch in only her underwear, covered in sweat with her right arm covering her eyes letting out a groan Luz said, "Lucia, can you make the AC work any better."

Lucia on the floor but with only her lower underwear on replied, "I can't but if Eda agrees to help build a pool, then we'll be better off."

Luz hearing that they could have a pool ran up to Edas' room and slamming open the door says, "Eda, if you help build a pool, we can beat this heat."

Eda laying in a giant owl nest only gives a thumbs' up and groans out, "if that will help with this heatwave then let's do it."

Lucia made the schematic for the pool and once night came Luz, Lucia, and Eda left for Bonesburrow, and using the snails from Luz they bought several dozen durable, water-proof tiles, a few gallons of water-proof sealant, parts for a water filter with a pump and tubing, a couple pounds of magical, water-resistant cement, construction lining, a lot of timber, water-resistant wood sealing oil, and pool toys.

With everything, they'd need Eda with the helpful direction of Lucia with the aid of Luz. They spent several hours building the pool instead of days. When they finished the pool with is being surrounded by a large deck that was suspended about 2 feet off the ground with a railing and a little shed for the pump and filter.

Lucia then said, "alright, now we just need to let everything cure for about a day in a half though if we have another heatwave like yesterday, we can make that just a day."

Luz and Eda upon hearing that groaned but they knew Lucia was the one who knew how to build stuff the most; so, they abided by what Lucia said.

After enduing another even worse heatwave and testing the pool's cement and sealant Lucia said, "alright, we can start filling the pool and bust out the pool supplies."

And just like that Eda hooked up the hose ad started to fill the pool; all while Lucia brought out a table and placed it on the deck then assembled a grill that she had. Then Luz realized something and said, "Lucia and me don't have swimsuits."

Lucia hearing this looks to Luz and says, "well looks like we're going on a shopping trip."

Eda hearing what Lucia and Luz said says, "I already have a swimsuit so you two have fun shopping."

Luz and Lucia looking and each other then at Eda says at the same time, "this was going to be a private shopping trip anyway."

Luz and Lucia returning to the human realm went to a middle-class shopping center and started looking over different swimsuits that were on display. Luz was looking at a muddled brown, anime-esqe swimsuit that has several owl designs on it. While Lucia was looking at an also muddled brown, two-piece swimsuit that has a near transparent hip cloth that has slits for her legs; with the cloth having a stylized owl design on it.

Luz and Lucia looking at several more swimsuits with some covering too little while others covered too much. However, in the end, Luz and Lucia bought the anime-esqe swimsuit and the two-piece with the hip cloth.

Returning to the owl house Luz and Lucia went to their shared room and changed into their swimsuits. Luz and Lucia after changing both of them were glad that they got the correct size for themselves. Exiting the owl house Luz and Lucia go to the pool where they see Eda in a red two-piece swimsuit setting up a couple of wooden pool chairs that were treated just like the deck.

The wooden pool chairs are set up under a poolside shelter that was built just before the sun came up. With the pool now all set up, filled, ready for use, and another heatwave scheduled for the day the residents of the owl house got in just as the heatwave arrived.

Luz, Lucia, Eda, and King spent the day either in the pool swimming or on the pool chairs enjoying the warm shade beside the pool.
