Side-Story: Camila Moves in
Camila held her stomach as she exited the portal and stepped into the demon realm. She felt like throwing up. She looked around and noticed everyone, Eda included, seems to be suffering the same effect.
"Sorry, Mami," Luz apologized, "My door isn't as good as the first one."
Camila smiled at her daughter and reached out to pat her on the head. It wasn't all that bad, her stomach was already starting to settle. She looked around and saw she was in a forest. It didn't take her long to see what could only be the Owl House, and it wasn't what she was expecting.
When Luz had explained about the house was moving into, she expected a run-down and rustic building. While she was right about the rustic part, the house was anything but run down.
The Owl House was nearly twice the size of her home in the human realm and looked like a fresh coat of paint had just been appealed to it. The thing that caught the human mother's eyes was the bed of flowers that formed a pathway leading to the house.
Curious, Camila walked up to the flower bed and studied one of the plants. The plant reminded her a lot of Lavender plants; about the only difference was the color. The plants were yellow, but if she looked closer, she could see a hint of red around the roots.
"Those are Deadwardian River Roots, the main ingredient in rejuvenation potions," Lilith explained kindly. "Up until recently, it was believed they bloom once every 25 years and in limited numbers."
"Yeah," Eda added lowly, "Another one of bonehead's lies."
Camila looked around at the witches and her daughter and could almost feel the tension in the air. Thankfully, she wasn't the only one who read the room.
"Well, enough about Belos and his lies," Gwen said kindly and looked at Camila with a motherly smile. "How about we showed our newest family members that little surprise."
The entire Owl Familia was wearing knowing smirks as they guided a slightly confused Camila and Vee to the front door of the Owl House. The smirks were wiped off Eda and Lilith's faces when they saw a stone in a hole in the door.
Lilith sighed and tipped the message stone. A voice came out a second later.
"Steve here. Hooty was looking a little down in the dumps, so I took him for a joyride. Be back later, STEEEVE!"
"Uhh," Camila was lost and looked to the residents of the house for clarity.
"Don't ask," Lilith said plainly. "Just don't ask."
Camila decided it was best to just take the advice, and walked into the house. The house was mostly dark, with the only source of light coming from the open door. The human mother heard someone mention something about a backup power source.
"Welcome…" Eda said with dramatic flare, "To the Owl House."
Camila heard a snap, but nothing happened.
"Lily, lend a sister a hand," Eda said flatly.
Lilith sighed and snapped her fingers. Camila's eyes lit up when she saw the house come to life in a literal sense. She watched as candles lit themselves and brooms swiped along the floor. She suddenly gasp when she saw the family portrait hanging behind the couch.
The picture showed Eda and Lilith behind their adopted daughters and King was between Luz and Amity. Camila couldn't help but beam when she saw how amazing everyone looked in the picture, even Luz, who wearing a tux/tutu combo.
"Beautiful," Camila muttered.
She felt a hand on her shoulder and looked into the warm eyes of Dell Clawthorne. Wordlessly, the elder witch guided the human adult to the portrait. He gestured to the edge of the portrait and Camila get the hint.
She tipped the edge gently and magic rippled through the photo. Camila watched as the image changed; Ed and Lilith were now sitting on stools so their hands were still on their "knocked-down" daughters' shoulders. The girl looked absolutely adorable in their Marry-jane style dresses and A "knocked-down" King was dapper with his cute little bowtie.
"Truly beautiful," Camila couldn't help but repeat herself as a light blush appeared on her face.
"If you like, we can make another one, with you and your other daughter with us?" Lilith suggested kindly.
"I would like that," Camila replied gratefully and looked back at the family picture.
She frowned as her eyes fell on the "knocked-down" titan and looked at Lilith again.
"How is King doing?" Camila asked with concern. "It seems he can't stay awake for long?"
Camila recalled that before leaving for the demon realm, King had woken up and the two had a short talk. However, he had fallen back to sleep before the trip, and that filled Camila with worry, both as a vet and a mother.
"You have nothing to worry about," Lilith replied with a warm smile. "Our family's friend believes since his blood is the source of his power, donating so much had drained him and he's going into long periods of sleep as his body replenishes itself."
Camila frowned as she looked back at the picture. A part of her was still concerned for the young creature but will put her trust in the people who knew King the best.
Eda, feeling like things were getting heavy, decided to pipe in.
"So, enough with all this serious talk," she said lightheartedly. "I think it's time we get these two settled in and get cooking with dinner."
The entire Owl Familia cast a glare at Eda, but in the end, agreed with her. Lilith, Eda, and their kids took Camila and Vee to help them find rooms to call their own. Gwen volunteered to make dinner, and Dell retired to the couch, his bone arching from everything. In the elder witch's arms was his grandson still sleeping soundly.

I know a lot would probably have figured this out, but the outfits Eda, Luz, and Amity are wearing are their grom outfits, and Lilith is wearing her Coven suit.
