So here is an actual chapter. I've been feeling inspired the past couple of days so hopefully this keeps up. Things are still financially difficult with me and my sister so if you could donate to our go fund me or share with someone who can that would be great. I really appreciate any and all help that you amazing peeps can give. I'm going to shut up now and let you get to reading. Leave me some review love when you are done:)
EPOV
Even dead that motherfucker was still trying to fuck with my family. He and Warlow had both signed their death warrants with this latest stunt. I could feel the rage building up inside of me, but before it could completely take over, Godric was beside me pushing calm through our bond. "Eric, what has happened?" I quickly told him what Sookie had seen. His rage spiked for a moment before he was able to calm himself down. "You must be smart about this Eric. You can't let your emotions lead you or you will be distracted and make mistakes that could cost you important lives."
"But he's after my children. How am I suppose to keep from following my emotions on this?"
Godric put his hand on my shoulder and pushed every ounce of calm and comfort into our bond that he could. "Because you need to focus. Nothing has happened yet and as long as we are working together it won't happen at all. Sookie had that vision so that we can prevent it from happening. Power doesn't necessarily mean intelligence. We are smarter than them and we will stay vigilant and we will prevent this tragedy from happening."
Sookie had calmed down hearing Godric's words and feeling his calm through our bond. "Godric is right. We can do this if we just stick together." She put the boys down in their co-sleeper and came over and wrapped her arms around me. "We have a goddess on our side who is very invested in your well-being and we also have many powerful friends. I doubt either of those crazy bastards know about all of the new powers I have and that will work to our advantage. Even if for some reason they do get close, I will send the boys away with Jess, Eden and Hunter. We will keep our family safe Eric, I can feel it, as long as we stay together."
I could feel Sookie pushing her own calm into our bond and I let myself absorb it and calm down. They were both right. We had many allies and as long as we all worked together, we would get through this. "I know you're right Lover, but I don't want you to strain yourself right now."
"Sookie, are you ill?" I could hear the concern in Godric's voice and I didn't want him to worry.
"Sookie, we should at least tell the family our news. If there is a fight coming, they need to know all that they are protecting."
I could feel that she was hesitant to say anything now because she feared that we would treat her differently. "Eric..."
"My love, I promise that we won't restrict you any more than necessary. The last thing that we want to do is stifle you, but remember knowledge is power. It could help us for everyone to know."
She blew out the breath that she'd been holding. "I am holding you to that." She turned and faced Godric. "I'm pregnant."
"You don't waste any time do you my son?"
"Who would when they have a wife as wonderful and beautiful as I do."
"The children are going to be thrilled to have more babies around."
"What about Jess?" There was something to the way that Sookie asked that had me concerned as well as the look on Godric's face.
"Jessica loves the boys."
"But..."
"Sookie, I don't want you to feel slighted because of your good fortune."
"I won't, just tell me Godric."
He took an unnecessary breath before he spoke. "Jess is jealous. She's realized being around Hunter and Eden and the twins that she'll never have a family of her own and it's hurting her."
"Oh Godric, maybe I shouldn't tell Jess right away."
"No Sookie, she needs to know."
I felt my love fill with determination and I knew that she had an idea. "What are you planning on doing Lover?"
"I need to talk to Jess. Where is she?"
"She was out in the backyard with Eden and Hunter."
"Okay." She leaned up and kissed me on the lips. "Holler if you need me." And with that she popped away.
SPOV
Knowing how Jess felt caused a knot to develop in my stomach. Technically it was my fault that she'd become a vampire in the first place, but hopefully I would be able to fix things.
I popped down to the backyard and saw Jess sitting on a blanket watching Hunter and Eden playing on the jungle gym. I could see the longing in her eyes even from there and it brought a tear to my eye and an ache to my chest. I quickly pushed those thoughts away and walked over to Jess. "Hey you." I sat down next to her and I watched her plaster a fake smile on her face.
"Hey Sookie."
"Is there something that you want to say to me?"
"No, of course not."
"Jess, I can see how unhappy you are. Hell a blind person would be able to see it. I want to help."
"Godric told you, didn't he?"
"He only did it because I have news. I'm pregnant again." I watched the bloody tears start to form in the corner of her eyes and it broke my heart. "Hey now, none of that." I reached out to take her hand, but she snatched it away before I could.
"I'm sorry Sookie, but I don't think that I can stay here anymore." She tried to vamp away from me, but I wouldn't let her.
I threw my hand up and released my magic. "Stop." Jess was frozen mid-step. I stood up and walked over to her and decided to test something out. "Head, go." Her head started to move, but the rest of her remained still. That was good to know.
"What did you do to me?"
"I'm forcing you to listen to me. Jessica, I feel horrible that your pain is my fault. If Bill hadn't killed Long Shadow you would still be a normal, human girl."
"Sookie, you know that my life is better now that I'm a vampire, it's just some of the human experiences that I'm going to miss."
"What it I could give you the option to experience them?"
"What do you mean?"
"Can I let you go without you running off?" She nodded her head. "Body, go." I threw out my magic and released her. "Good, now I think that I can re-animate you so that you can have at least one baby of your own."
She smiled and I could feel the excitement radiating off of her. "What about Godric?"
I couldn't help the smirk that appeared on my face. "You and Godric, huh?"
"I think so."
"Does he want to have a child? It's been a long time since's he's even had to think about that."
"He loves the boys and he's so good with Eden and Hunter."
"I think that you two need to talk before a final decision is made. But I want you to know that no matter what, I am more than willing to do this for you."
"Oh Sookie, thank you so much." She pulled me into a tight hug. I realized that I had something else that I had to tell her.
"Jess, there's something else that I need to tell you."
She pulled away and looked at my face. "That doesn't sound good."
"It's not. A crazy, ancient fairy-vampire hybrid that wants to make me his faepire bride as used magic to resurrect Bill."
Her face actually went paler as she took in what I'd just said. "Oh God."
"There's more. Bill is planning on coming after the boys."
I watched anger wash over her face and her fangs popped down. "That's not going to happen."
"Jess, technically he's still your maker."
"My maker is dead. I have come to terms with that. Whatever that thing is, he is not my maker and if he tries to hurt my family, I will stake him." She paused for a second deep in thought. "Sookie, will this zombie Bill still be able to command me?"
"I don't know Sweetie. Hopefully we won't have to worry about that." The words were barely out of my mouth when Jess's body bowed up in an unnatural position and blood came pouring out of her mouth.
