"Ghost to Phoenix home, we're heading down with another load," Hera said from the Ghost's cockpit as the Ghost began to fly towards Atollon as Zeb walked into the cockpit as the doors slid open and stood behind Chopper, who stood near Hera.
"Copy, Ghost. I'll meet you on the surface," Sato responded on the Ghost's comm system.
"So, one more run, then we'll take a break," Hera told Zeb as she looked at him, "Are they still at it?"
"Pretty much non-stop," Zeb answered, "I'm surprised considering one of them doesn't even possess a lightsaber of their own yet and is using Kanan's lightsaber instead."
With that said, Hera climbed down the ladder from the cockpit to the catwalk in the cargo hold where Kanan was standing as he watched both Sabine and Satele training on the floor below them with Sabine using his lightsaber as both lightsabers' blades were ignited and in their saber training mode as they clashed the sabers together.
"Keep the blade up, Sabine," Kanan told Sabine, "It's easier to drop it than it is to raise it."
"I know, Kanan," Sabine said as Satele forced her backwards towards the wall behind her before lunged forwards towards her twin and clashed Kanan's blade against her sister's before she extended her arm out and used the Force to push her towards the wall on the opposite end of the cargo hold and went to attack her with Kanan's lightsaber before Satele evaded it and deactivated her lightsaber's blade and fired it's blaster attachment at Kanan's lightsaber, causing Kanan to chuckle as Sabine blocked the stun blasts with the blade of Kanan's lightsaber.
"You know that's my move, Satele," Kanan told her.
"Well, I steal from the best, Kanan," Satele responded as she reignited her saber's blade before sliding past her sister and ran up the cargo hold's ceiling before landing behind Sabine and quickly struck her saber's blade next to her neck, "Gotcha, Bine!"
"And I got you, Sat," Sabine said as she held Kanan's lightsaber blade under the breastplate of her sister's armor.
"Tied again?" Satele grunted as both Mandalorians deactivated the lightsabers in their hands.
"Yeah, why is that?" Sabine asked as Kanan climbed down the ladder to the floor of the cargo hold.
"There is no such thing as a tie," Kanan told them, "You lose, you die."
"Yeah, and you win by either killing an Inquisitor or a Sith Lord," Satele told her master.
"No. You win by surviving," Kanan corrected her.
"I'm getting pretty good at wielding a lightsaber," Sabine said before looking up at Hera, "Aren't I, Hera?"
"Yeah, you seem to be getting good at using a lightsaber, Sabine," Hera told Sabine.
"I appreciate the compliment, Hera," Sabine told Hera when Satele suddenly ignited her lightsaber and rushed towards her with it before she sensed it and ignited the blade of Kanan's lightsaber and both sabers clashed together as they went into a Saberlock, "Satele!"
"Like I said, you never turn your back on an enemy," Kanan explained.
"Since when is she my enemy, Kanan?" Sabine asked him, "She's my twin sister for crying out loud."
"Let's go again," Kanan told them as he walked back towards the ladder.
"Do we have to?" Sabine asked him as she and Satele deactivated the lightsabers that were in their hands.
"Yeah, Sabine's right," Satele said, agreeing with her, "We've been at this for hours."
"Fine, we can take a break," Kanan relented as he approached Sabine as she handed him back his lightsaber, "But you both will train one more time before we go to Malachor with Ahsoka."
Soon the Ghost landed at the rebel base known as Chopper base, which was named after Chopper for helping to find it's discovery and looked like a broad flat-topped elevation covered in huge coralline formations as they saw a Hammerhead corvette landed at the base and landed next to the corvette before Zeb and Chopper walked down the Ghost's ramp first as it lowered with AP-5 standing next to the ramp.
"I thought you'd be more excited about our new base," Hera told Kanan as they walked down the ramp next to each other, "We finally have a place to call home."
"Trust me, Hera, I'm excited," Kanan said before stopping as he made a creepy smiling face, "This is my excited face."
"Yeah, very nice," Hera muttered, sarcastically as she walked towards AP-5 as Chopper stood next to him, "Here's that crate of power generators, AP-5."
"This shipment was due hours ago," AP-5 told Chopper, who grunted a response as he took out one of his metal arms for a second before pulling it back into his dome as AP-5 sighed and placed his arms on his hips, "So I can expect them to be late all the time then?"
"The site doesn't look like much, I'll admit," Rex told the Ghost crew as they stood with him in one section of the base with his arms crossed as Sabine crossed her arms as well, "The good news is our scouts found a fresh water source, deep underground."
"We're placing sensor markers around the perimeter," Sabine added as one of the rebel soldiers walked around the base with sensor markers in their hands, "We'll know if anyone drops by unannounced."
Then suddenly a creature that was colored white and brown with cyan colored eyes and looked similar to a snail but had legs called a Dokma chirped from the container behind Zeb, "Hey! Get away from that!" Zeb yelled as he raised his arms up towards it, scaring the Dokma as it scattered away, "How I really hate those little Bogans."
"This planet may be hot, dry and unpleasant," Rex told them as Zeb turned back around towards them, "But at least there's nothing trying to kill us."
Soon in another section of the base, the rebel that was carrying sensor markers on the ground after waving at rebel ships flying in the air and activated the sensor, but as she was walking back to her ship, the Dokma in the area began to scatter, "Whoa! Whoa! Hey! What?" She muttered as she saw the Dokma sit by the sensor, "Hey! Get away from that! What are you guys doing over there?" As she asked that, a creature walked over her ship but she didn't notice it but the Dokma did as they were getting frightened, "What's wrong? Did something frighten you?" Just then she heard a growl and turned around and saw the creature and began firing at it with her blaster, only for it to not work before screaming.
"I can't believe it's all finally coming together. Ships, pilots, a base," Hera told Kanan as an A-wing landed next to the Ghost.
"Everything you need," Kanan said, agreeing with her.
"Except you, Sabine and Satele," Hera added, causing Kanan to inhale deeply as he turned to her, "When do you three leave?"
"As soon as Ahsoka gets back," Kanan answered as he sighed, "We can't run from the Inquisitors forever."
"I figured it was something like that, with all the training the twins have been doing with Sabine borrowing your lightsaber instead of her using her electrostaff," she told him as they began to walk towards the newly established communications center.
"Hera, what you've accomplished here is important. I understand that now, the need for us to be part of a larger rebellion," he told her as he placed his hand over her right shoulder as she placed her left and on her left hip, "I'm behind you… but none of it will matter if we don't do what we need to do."
"All sensors on the Eastern face are in place," one of the rebels of Phoenix Squadron reported to Sabine, who stood with Rex at a navigational computer.
"Good. Have all the pilots checked in?" Sabine asked as she turned around to face her fellow rebel.
"Lieutenant Dicer hasn't come back yet," the rebel told her, causing both Hera and Kanan to turn around and look at each other with worry on their faces.
"Phoenix-6, report," Rex said as he approached the communications system behind him, "Dicer, do you copy?" The only response he got from the communications system was static causing him to look at Sabine as he shook his head.
"She was on the North face," Sabine told the clone, "We'd better go check on her."
"Take the Phantom," Hera said as she and Kanan approached both Rex and Sabine below the communications system before Rex nodded a response and went to the Ghost and boarded the Phantom as it detached from the Ghost and unfolded its wings as they went to check out Dicer's last known position.
On the Ghost, Satele was walking down the hallway that held everyone's rooms and looked in Zeb's room and saw that he was not in his room, "Zeb?" She then heard a chirping sound before seeing one of the Dokma walk past her from under her legs before Chopper rolled out of the cockpit behind her and bumped into her, causing her to fall on her stomach, while he landed on his body's back, "Ow!" He then grunted as he got back up as she turned around and sat on the floor, "Hey, do you know where Zeb is?" He grunted a response, "Yeah, do you know where he went?"
Chopper's response was backing away to the wall and grunted as he took out one of his metal arms as he pointed at the cockpit's viewport as one of the Dokma ran past him as it saw the astromech as it was startled by him before he began to chase it as Satele got back on her feet and entered the cockpit and saw Zeb in the distance, relaxing by himself on a cliff overlooking the planet's desert around several of the giant coral plants.
"What are you doing out here, big guy?" Satele asked Zeb as she approached him as he was sitting on a chair in front of a makeshift stand with a poster of a Lasat with the name 'Boscoface' near the bottom of the poster written in basic with other posters on it as well as one with a no stormtrooper symbol and a Rodian with a receiver next to him as he was using it to listen to music.
"Oh. Hey, Satele," Zeb said, exhaling deeply as he stretched his arms as he noticed her, "Just getting a little fresh air and privacy. Hey, pull up a crate, watch the sunset," he then chuckled before she climbed up his makeshift stand-like hideout and sat on the top of one of the crates.
"We're gonna be leaving soon," she told him, "Kanan, Sabine and me."
"Yeah, I figured," Zeb said before handing her a drink, "Goin' after the red blades, huh?"
"Yeah, I don't know when we'll be back," she answered, "Or if we'll be back."
"Hey, hey, bad luck to talk like that. You'll be back," Zeb reassured her before hitting her on the arm, playfully, "'Course we'll probably have toppled the Empire by then," he then chuckled, "We can swap war stories."
"It's a deal," she said as he turned up the music on the receiver.
"Specter-5 to Phoenix-6, where are you?" Sabine asked as she tried contacting Dicer with a comlink as she wandered around the area where Dicer was when she placed the sensor maker but didn't get any response, "Dicer, come in." She didn't get any response like before while Rex, who was walking from the Phantom's rear hatch and heard a chirping sound as he picked the helmet of a rebel pilot that he noticed that was on the ground in front of them and saw a Dokma inside of the helmet before it chirped excitedly as it ran away from them.
"Looks like whatever happened, happened right after she placed that sensor," Rex said as he walked towards Sabine as she crossed her arms.
"Someone else is here," Sabine said as she sensed something watching them through the Force as a Dokma chirped as it watched the Mandalorian and the clone from a boulder nearby.
"Or something else," Rex corrected her as he saw a sand dune behind her rise up from the ground below, "Behind you!" The sand dune soon shedded its sand covering to reveal that it was a grey colored spider-like non-sentient species with black eyes and six legs called a Krykna as it hissed as Rex pulled out both of his DC-17s from their holsters as Sabine did the same with her WESTAR-35s from their holsters, "Do you think it's aggressive?"
"I'm not waiting to find out!" Sabine answered as they began to fire blaster bolts at the spider as they backed away from it as they realized that more of the spiders were appearing from the sand dunes and shedded off their sand overing as well, "More incoming!"
"Get to the ship," Rex ordered Sabine before she began to run towards the Phantom, only to see one of the spiders standing on top of the Phantom before she began to fire her WESTAR-35s at it as it leaped in front of her as Rex shot one of them in the eyes, killing them instantly.
"This is Specter-5. We're under attack! We need backup…" Sabine as she used her wrist's communicator to contact the others before one of the spiders that was surrounding her used its body to push her across the ground and fell on her stomach.
As Rex continued to fire his DC-17s, one of the spiders came up behind him and grabbed him with one of its legs, "Get off me, you lousy crawler!"
"Rex!" Sabine cried out as she saw Rex being kidnapped by the spiders as she stood back up, "Rex!" She then extended one of her arms out as she tried to connect with the spiders with the Force, only for it to not work as one of them turned towards her and screeched at her, "So it seems I can't tame these spiders. So it seems that I can only take care of them the old fashioned way." She then fired both of her WESTAR-35s at them, killing the one that screeched at her before firing one of her WESTAR-35s at one of the other spiders and killed it after a few of her blaster bolts hit the spider's eyes before she began to run away from the spiders as three more spiders began to approach her and crouched as she reached the sensor marker and aimed her WESTAR-35s at them, only for the spiders to screech as they began to back away from the sensor marker as if they were scared or afraid of it before she stood back up, "What are you waiting for? Come on!" Shen then continued to fire her WESTAR-35s when the Ghost suddenly rose up from behind her with Zeb and Kanan firing their blasters as they stood on the ramp as it was lowered, causing the spiders to retreat.
"I hate multi-leggers," Zeb grunted as he walked down the ramp with Kanan next to him after the Ghost landed on the ground.
"Where's Rex?" Satele asked her sister as she walked down the ramp with Chopper and Hera.
"Those creatures took him, Sis," Sabine answered as she placed both of her WESTAR-35s back in their holsters, "I think they got Dicer, too."
"Chopper, locate Rex's position!" Hera ordered her astromech as he rolled to the right side of them and grunted as he activated his transmitter as it rotated drom side to side before he grunted again.
"He says this way," Sabine said as she pulled both of her WESTAR-35s back out of their holsters as she Kanan and Satele ran in the direction of where Chopper pinpointed where Rex's position was coming from.
"I'll, uh… I'll guard the ship," Zeb told Hera as he wasn't following the three Force-wielders.
"We need you, Zeb," Hera told him before turning to Chopper before following the others, "Chopper, stay here and keep the Ghost ready for take-off."
"More than two legs is just… excessive," Zeb grunted as he followed Hera, while Chopper flew into the Phantom's astromech socket and closed its rear hatch as he began to pilot it with its wings unfolding as he flew the shuttle towards the Ghost before folding the wings back up as it was reattached with the Ghost.
"Stay sharp and stick together," Kanan said as he ignited his lightsaber as they began to enter the caves where the spiders retreated into.
"They have tough armor. Aim for the eyes," Sabine said as she walked with them as she and Hera took out flashlights in their left hands with their blasters in their other hands and activated the flashlights along with everyone else but Kanan and Satele as Zeb activated his flashlight a few times before Satele coughed as she ignited her saber's blade, causing him to punch her in the arm.
"We need to split up," Kanan grunted as they reached a part of the cave's tunnel that splits into two different directions as he turned to the others, "Satele, go with Hera."
"No. Satele, stay with Kanan," Hera argued, "Sabine, Zeb, with me."
"Let's go," Kanan told Satele as they began to walk in the other tunnel than his other Padawan, Hera and Zeb.
As Satele and Kanan their tunnel of the cave, one of the spiders appeared before them and screeched before Satele deactivated her lightsaber's blade and placed it back on her armor's belt.
"Oh, let me try to connect with it," Satele told Kanan.
"I don't think so," Kanan argued.
"Trust me, I got this," Satele reassured him as she extended her arm out towards the spider as she began to approach it as she tried to use the Force to tame it, only for it to screech at her, causing her to gasp with disbelief.
"Hey!" Kanan yelled before rushing towards the spider and slashed his lightsaber against it before stabbing through his lightsaber through the spider's head as he stood over the spider and turned to Satele, "Maybe I should teach you more common sense!"
"I had common sense before you started teaching me!" She retorted, "I am a Mandalorian after all!"
"We can argue about this later. Come on!" Kanan said before running into another room in the cave's tunnels next to him.
"You always change the subject when I start winning," Satele said as she followed her master into the next room in the cave's tunnels.
"I don't like the looks of this," Zeb muttered as he, Hera and Sabine aimed their blasters and flashlights at four oval shaped objects that looked like the spiders as if they were sleeping before Sabine looked down as she aimed her flashlight and saw the shells of Doomas but with the Dokmas absent as she kneeled down towards them and knocked one of them on their side with her WESTAR-35.
"Those big crawlers must eat them," Hera realized.
"Ugh. Even I wouldn't wish that fate on these little Bogans," Zeb said with disgust, not liking that the Dokma were preyed upon by the spiders.
"Uh. Are those eggs?" Sabine asked with disgust in her voice as she stood back up and aimed her flashlight at what looked like to be hundreds or thousands of eggs as she stood up.
"I could really use a hand over here," they suddenly heard Rex's voice say and looked around the area with their flashlights before seeing Rex trapped within one of the sleeping spider's mandibles hanging down from the ceiling.
"Rex!" Hera said, calling out to the clone as she, Zeb and Sabine ran over to where the clone was trapped.
"I met the neighbors," Rex sighed as Zeb and Hera began to free him from the spider's mandibles, "I don't care for 'em."
"Kanan! Satele! We found Rex," Sabine said into her comlink.
"Good work! We're coming to ya!" Kanan replied on the comlink as both Hera and Zeb freed Rex from the mandibles as he dropped to the floor before she turned around at the spider that they just freed Rex from as it screeched as it began to wake up.
"Actually, I think it's time to go," Sabine told him.
"This way!" Hera said as they began to retreat as the spider hopped down from its nest and as it began to chase them Sabine dropped her flashlight and pulled her other WESTAR-35 out and began firing them at the spider with Hera and Zeb doing the same wither their blasters as more of the spiders began chasing them and soon one of Sabine's blaster bolts hit one of the spiders' eyes, killing them before the same happened to another of the spiders as Sabine placed both of her WESTAR-35s back in their holsters as she pulled a thermal detonator out from one of her armor's bags and activated it before throwing it at the spiders with it landing underneath one of them before exploding, causing a cave in as they left the section of the tunnel with the cave in before seeing another of the spiders coming towards them from the opposite side of the tunnel.
"Aim for the eyes!" Sabine told Rex as she handed him one of her WESTAR-35s to him before she took out her other WESTAR-35 as they began firing at the spider's head, only for their blaster bolts to miss before Zeb passed them and elbowed the spider with his bo-rifle.
"Get back, ya stinkin' crawlers!" Zeb said as he stepped his foot on the spider's head before firing his bo-rifle at the spider's head, killing it instantly.
"They're boxing us in," Sabine said as another of the spiders began to approach her from behind as she aimed her WESTAR-35 at it as Hera looked up after killing one of the spiders and saw another of the spiders above her and began to fire upon it when a lightsaber blade suddenly phased through the spider's body from above, causing the spider to screech as it was killed before she saw Kanan and Satele hop down from above with Kanan's lightsaber stabbed into the spider's body before he took it out from the spider's dead body.
"Huh. Glad you could drop in," Hera muttered sarcastically as he rushed past her before stopping behind her.
"I wouldn't stand there if I were you," Satele told the Twi'lek before running through the tunnel behind them with Kanan following her, "Come on, we'll clear a path!" She and Kanan then slashed their sabers against a spider in front of them before Hera followed them along with everyone else after she saw one of the spiders descend from the ceiling above.
Both Sabine and Rex stopped as the spiders followed them and fired both of the WESTAR-35s on it as they walked backwards for a second before turning back around and followed everyone else out of the cave.
As they left the cave, one of the spiders leaped down behind Sabine as Zeb began firing his bo-rifle at it as the others began to reach the Ghost.
"Chopper, open up!" Hera said, contacting her astromech with her comlink as multiple of the spiders began to follow them, "Chopper!"
Within seconds of saying that, the Ghost's ramp lowered after Chopper grunted as he plugged his scomp link into the astromech port in the cockpit and with that Hera, Kanan, Rex and Sabine ran up the ramp into the ship with Zeb standing at the top of the ramp.
"This whole place is infested," Zeb said as Satele ran up the ship's ramp before it began to close as the spiders began to climb the ship.
"Maybe this base isn't so perfect after all," Kanan said as he saw one of the spiders climbing up the cockpit's viewport as he entered the cockpit with Zeb as Hera sat down on the pilot's seat.
"I'm not giving up without a fight," Hera told him as he sat in the co-pilot's seat as she activated the ship's engines, "Hang on!"
"Hera, get us outta here!" Zeb said as the Ghost refused to lift off of the ground.
"It's no good! I'm at full power," she told him, "Ah. They must have glued us down."
"Well, we're safe in here, right?" Satele asked from behind Hera.
"Sure," Hera answered as she exhaled sharply as one of the spiders walked over the hull of the Ghost after webbing the ship to the ground.
As this happened, Satele slid down a ladder before hopping in the Ghost's nose gun and began firing the cannon at the spiders.
"Hungry, are ya?" Zeb rhetorically asked the spiders as he sat on the Phantom's pilot's seat, "Well, eat this!" He then began firing the Phantom's cannons at the spiders as Kanan sat in the rear cannon and began firing at the spiders, rotating it around as they climbed up towards the cannon.
"They're all over us!" Kanan said as one of the spiders appeared above the cannon and growled at him before he knocked the spider off as he rotated the cannon around before firing the cannon at the spider, killing it as it slid down the viewport.
"Route auxiliary power to the hull. That should knock 'em up," Hera told Sabine as she worked below the console, while Sabine was standing at one of the Ghost's computer systems before she clicked one of its buttons, causing one of the spiders on top of the Ghost's hull to be electrocuted, hoping to knock it off, only for it to stay on top of the ship as it hissed and screeched at them.
"It's not working," Kanan reported, "Hit 'em again!"
"No," Hera protested as she used her comlink to contact him as she got up from beneath the console, "If we drain too much power, we won't be able to lift off."
"I hate to break it to you, but we're not goin' anywhere," Sabine reported as she turned to Hera for a split second.
"We have to go outside and cut the ship free," Satele said as she climbed up the ladder from the Ghost's nose gun.
"Yeah, fat chance surviving that," Zeb muttered before hearing a nose from above, "Huh?" As he looked up the Phantom's viewport, he saw one of the spiders standing on top of the shuttle and as he saw the spider he began to run out of the Phantom in fear.
"Oh, that's great, Zeb," Satele said, sarcastically as she used her wrist's communicator as she stood next to her sister, "I'm gonna get eaten, one of the only two Mandalorian Jedi in the galaxy, chomped up by some crawlers because you were too afraid to go outside!"
"We're missing something," Kanan grunted as he entered the cockpit with Zeb, "Why didn't these things attack us before?"
"You're right," Hera said, realizing that he had a point, "They could've overrun the base, they didn't come near it."
As Hera was saying that, Sabine was staring out the ship's viewport and observed that one of the spiders backed away from the sensor marker that was placed outside before they began to approach the Ghost, "Sensor marker… that's it!" She then turned to her master, "Kanan! I think I know why they didn't attack the base… Look! See that marker?" They all then began to look at the sensor marker and realized what she was getting at as the spiders that were approaching it backed away as soon as they got close to it, "When I was looking for Dicer out there, the creatures wouldn't come anywhere close."
"They don't like the markers," Kanan realized, "And the base is surrounded by them!"
"If we can get it, we can use it to hold them off while we clear the ship," Hera suggested.
"Only problem is, how do we get to it?" Sabine asked as she placed her hand on her chin for a second as she wasn't sure how they'd get the sensor marker without being eaten by the spiders.
"We got a breach!" Rex announced before they all turned to see him standing in the hallway in front of the ladder that leads to the Phantom, "They're coming in the airlock!" He ran to the doorway of the airlock as Zeb followed him and the doors slid open as he approached the door to the airlock as he held his DC-17s in his hands, "I'll hold 'em here. Get out and cut the ship loose!"
"We need a plan to get to the sensor," Sabine said as she still wasn't sure how they'll be able to reach the sensor marker without being eaten by the spiders as her sister stood by the doorway.
"Well, I think I have an idea," Satele said as she turned around towards them, "And it involves me and my jetpack."
"Go get it and figure the rest of your plan out on the way!" Hera told her as Rex approached the spider that entered the airlock, firing his DC-17 blaster pistols at it as Chopper watched from behind.
The ramp of the Ghost lowered as Zeb fired his bo-rifle at the spiders as Hera and Kanan had their blasters out and fired them at the spiders as well as both Sabine and Satele also had their WESTAR-35s out as they at the spiders as well, while Satele had her jetpack on her back after getting it from the closet in her and Sabine's room.
"Okay, Satele, quick! What's the plan?" Zeb asked Satele as he and the others continued firing their blaster pistols at the spiders.
"All right, Zeb, you and Hera, out front laying covering fire," Satele started as both Zeb and Hera walked forward off the ramp as they continued firing their blasters at the spiders, "I'm on the ramp. Sabine, Kanan, you're both off the ramp."
"Why do me and Kanan have to get off the ramp?" Sabine asked her sister as she and Kanan ran off the ramp.
"You and Kanan have to use the Force to throw me up into the air to accelerate my jetpack's speed, Sis," Satele explained.
"Times like these, I really wish Mother gave me a jetpack like she did with Satele," Sabine muttered to herself as she and Kanan fired their blasters at the spiders.
Rex continued to fire his DC-17s upon the spider in the airlock as he backed up the floor as Chopper grunted, while the spider continued to approach them and tried hitting him with one of its legs, only for Rex to dodge it before he continued to fire at it with both of his DC-17 blaster pistols, causing the spider to back away.
"Ready?" Kanan asked Satele as he and Sabine continued to fire their blasters at the spiders.
"Yeah," she answered.
"One… two… three!" Kanan and the twins all said together as Satele ran forward as Kanan and Sabine extended one of each of their arms out as they used the Force to push Satele high in the air.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Satele screamed as she flew past the sensor marker as she tried activating her jetpack.
"Satele!" Kanan cried.
"Sis!" Sabine cried at the same time.
Back in the airlock, Rex ran towards the spider and began to push the spider out of the airlock after placing both of his DC-17s back in their holsters, only for the spider to resist being moved before Rex backed away as the spider screeched before Rex ran back towards it and jumped in the air as he kicked it out with his feet as the spider held onto the airlock's hatch with one of its legs.
"Now, Chopper! Seal it up!" Rex ordered the nearby astromech, who immediately rolled over to the astromech port that was next to the airlock and plugged his scomp link into it, sealing the airlock's door as Rex sat on the floor with his back facing the door.
"Phew!" Sabine muttered as moved her hand across her forehead, while her master placed his hand on the center of his chest as they saw Satele flying upwards from over the edge with her jetpack activated and activated her vambrace's flamethrower activated as she aimed it at a spider that was crawling towards her below across the edge of the ground, causing it to back off as she landed next to the sensor marker and picked it up as she aimed her right vambrace at him and reactivated her flamethrower at them, causing them to back away, screeching as she held the sensor marker under her arm as she carefully walked back to the Ghost.
"Hera, get us ready to fly," Kanan told Hera as Satele reached back to the Ghost as she deactivated her vambrace's flamethrower and aimed the sensor marker at the spiders before Hera ran back into the Ghost.
"Take this, Sis, while I cut the webbing keeping the Ghost from taking off," Satele said as she handed her sister marker the sensor marker after she placed her WESTAR-35s back in their holsters as she grabbed the sensor marker from her twin sister as Satele and Kanan carefully walked towards the webbing that was holding the Ghost down from taking off.
"Satele, let's get to work," Kanan told Satele as he placed his DL-18 blaster pistol back in its holster as they grabbed their lightsabers from their belts and ignited their blades and slashed them against the webs that were holding the Ghost to the ground and keeping it from lifting off as Hera sat in the pilot's seat in the cockpit and began to activate the engines.
"That's it! We're clear!" Satele announced after slashing the last of the spider webs off of the Ghost's hull.
"Get us outta here!" Kanan said as he used his comlink to contact Hera as Hera activated the engines as he, Satele and Sabine ran towards the Ghost's ramp and jumped on it as Sabine aimed the sensor marker at the spiders as the Ghost lifted off of the ground before the ramp raised up before the ship flew away from the spiders.
"Guess we should inform Commander Sato our site… might not work out," Rex suggested as he stood in the cockpit with Kanan standing next to him, while Sabine and Zeb sat in the seats behind Hera and the co-pilot's seat.
"No. It took everything we had just to find this place," Hera protested, "I'm not ready to give it up."
"We're not going to," Kanan told her as he sat down in the co-pilot's seat, "The Rebellion needs this base and we're gonna do whatever it takes to keep it."
"Don't worry. I'll handle it," Hera reassured him as she stood up as she went to contact Sato as he crossed his arms.
Later that morning, rebel troopers were placing sensor markers around Chopper base's perimeter as Kanan and Sabine stood at a pole in a distance away from their fellow rebels with their arms crossed.
"I think your fence is gonna hold," Kanan told Sabine as he turned to her.
"You better go talk to Hera," Sabine told her master, causing Kanan to look at Hera, who was walking near a Hammerhead corvette in the distance.
"Why? What's wrong?" He asked her with confusion, causing her to place her hand on her forehead for a second.
"Kanan, wake up! She might agree with our mission, but you're still walking out… and taking me and Satele with you," she explained, causing him to look at Hera before walking towards her.
"Hera…" Kanan said as he approached his girlfriend.
"I told the Commander the site is secure, and operations can resume," Hera told him as she looked at him with the corner of her eye.
"We're gonna be okay," he told her, "You know that, right?"
"You realize I know when you're lying, right?" Hera asked him as she turned around towards him and crossed her arms as she sighed, "Whatever you're facing, I wanted us to face it together."
"We'll see each other again, I promise," he promised her as he placed his hands over both of her shoulders before wrapping her in a hug with her head on its side as she placed it over his chest as she closed her eyes before he did the same with his as he leaned his head towards hers.
Satele was sitting on the ground near the perimeter of the base as she watched one of the spiders walk by the sensor marker as she extended her hand out to the spider, hoping to connect with it, only for the spider to look and hissed at her, causing her to fall on her back as the spider's hiss scared her as it ran towards her before backing away from the sensor markers.
"Fine. I guess we won't be friends," Satele said as she placed her hand under the back of her head as she saw a white, green and gold colored Convor, an owl-like species with green eyes flying in the sky above her and new that Ahsoka was nearby and soon saw Ahsoka look over her, "Ahsoka?"
"I see the base is coming along nicely," Ahsoka told Satele as the Mandalorian stood back up as R4-G6 rolled up next to the Togruta as she placed her hand on top of his dome.
"Yeah. Um, these creatures almost ruined it though. No matter what I do, I can't seem to connect with them, Sabine said she tried to when she first encountered them but couldn't either," Satele told her as they watched the spiders walk around the base's perimeter.
"In my experience, just when you think you understand the Force, you find out how little you actually know," Ahsoka told her.
"I don't think I ever understood the Force to begin with, despite my people's past with Jedi, Sith and other Force-wielders," Satele admitted.
"Well, I have someone that I want to introduce you to," Ahsoka told her as a man with light skin, gray eyes and brown hair with a goatee approached them, "This is Senator Lux Bonteri of Onderon. We met during the Clone War when I went to Raxus with a friend of mine to meet his mother who was the Senator of Onderon at the time when the planet was part of the Separatists."
"Nice to actually meet one of the nice Mandalorians instead of those Death Watch monsters that I briefly affiliated with back on Carlac," Lux said, greeting Satele.
"Nice to meet you, Senator," Satele said, greeting him as well, "My mother was part of Death Watch, but I'm not like Death Watch despite me and my sister being born when she was part of that Mandalorian terrorist splinter group. But why did you come here?"
"I'm here to officially join the Rebellion and have resigned my post within the Imperial Senate," Lux answered.
"We should get going," Ahsoka sighed as Satele looked around the area for a second before following Ahsoka, Lux and R4-G6 as the convor sat on a cliff above them.
