About a week after Rau decided to join the Rebellion, the Ghost jumped out of Hyperspace along with a Hammerhead corvette and two A-wings as they entered the system of Mykapo.
"Hey, did Fulcrum say how long it'd be before the Empire invades Mykapo?" Satele asked Hera as she sat in the nose gun's seat underneath the Ghost's cockpit as Hera sat in the pilot's seat with Sabine sitting in the co-pilot's seat with Chopper standing between them as Zeb sat in the seat behind Hera with Kanan sitting in the seat across from the Lasat.
"No, but Commander Sato has connections here and he said rebel sympathizers were eager to evacuate," Hera answered the Mandalorian.
"I think we may be too late," Kanan told her as he walked up next to her and placed his hand over her shoulder before they all heard the sound of lasers being fired in the distance as four TIE fighters were chasing a Corellian YT-2400 light freighter that was carrying cargo crates on the bottom of the ship with a Gozanti-class cruiser chasing the YT-2400 light freighter, behind the TIEs.
"Imperial transport plus four TIEs," Sabine reported as Kanan and Zeb walked out of the cockpit to the ship's other turrets, "They haven't spotted us yet."
"They're distracted," Satele told her, "Got their sights locked on that freighter."
"They've got cargo of some kind," Hera said as she noticed the cargo crates attached to the bottom of the YT-2400 light freighter, "Maybe they're smugglers."
"I wonder why they're not jumping to lightspeed," Sabine said as she turned to Hera.
"They're gonna need our help, Sis," Satele said as she looked up at her sister.
"Phoenix transport, proceed with the mission to the planet's surface," Hera said as she spoke into the Ghost's communications system.
"Yes, Captain," Rex responded through the Ghost's communications system.
"Phoenix Two and Three, move in on my command. Protect that freighter," Hera ordered both of the A-wings' pilots with the Ghost's communications system.
"Copy that, Phoenix Leader," a masculine voice said from the communications system before the rebel starfighters along with the Ghost began to fly towards the YT-2400 light freighter to protect it, while the Hammerhead corvette began to fly down towards the planet below. As this was happening, the YT-2400 light freighter flew back around, and flew into a TIE fighter with its hull destroying the TIE as the freighter remained undamaged as they fired upon the Imperial Gozanti-class cruiser with it's 1D servo turret-mounted dual laser cannons on top of the freighter.
"They're attacking the Empire head-on!" Satele observed.
"Better talk some sense into them, Hera," Sabine told Hera.
"Attention, YT-2400 freighter. We're here to assist," Hera said, contacting the YT-2400 light freighter.
"Thanks, but we don't need your help," they heard a teenage masculine voice reply through the Ghost's communications system.
"Sounds like a kid," Kanan remarked from the Ghost's rear cannon as he fired lasers from the laser cannons at the TIEs, destroying two of them as Satele fired the nose gun's laser cannons at the last remaining TIE, destroying it instantly.
"You're clear," Hera told the pilot of the YT-2400 light freighter, "Now make your jump! Get outta here!"
"Negative," the pilot of the YT-2400 responded, "Whoever you are, the Iron Squadron doesn't run."
The YT-2400 light freighter then deployed the cargo crates as they flew towards the Gozanti-class cruiser, which began firing at them with its laser cannons, only for them to miss the YT-2400 light freighter as it flew away as the Gozanti-class cruiser began firing at the cargo as they flew towards the Gozanti-class cruiser with most of the lasers from the laser cannons missing as the cargo collided with the Gozanti-class cruiser in multiple locations, causing an explosion as the cargo began to cripple the Gozanti-class cruiser.
"They just bombed the Imperial transport with cargo?" Sabine Sabine with disbelief in her voice as Satele shielded her eyes from the brightness of the explosion.
"Whoo-hoo-hoo! Yeah!" The pilot of the YT-2400 confirmed from the Ghost's communications system with an excited tone in his voice.
"Wow. The Empire's retreating," Satele said after leaning forward in the nose gun's seat for a second before leaning backwards as the crippled Gozanti-class cruiser left the system as it jumped into Hyperspace.
"Nice work, Iron Squadron," Hera said, complimenting the pilot of the YT-2400 light freighter with the Ghost's communications system.
"We've been battling the Empire for a while now. Why don't you come over?" The pilot of the YT-2400 light freighter offered as Kanan and Zeb reentered the cockpit, "We could probably show you a few tricks."
"Sounds like an invitation," Satele said from the nose gun as she looked at her sister, Hera, Kanan and Zeb.
"I have to report in first," Hera told the pilot of the YT-2400 light freighter before standing up and stood in front of Kanan, who had his arms crossed as Zeb stood behind him, "Kanan, why don't you take a team to the planet? Assist the evacuation."
"All right," Kanan said as she walked past him, "Good luck with Iron Squadron."
"Sounds like a ship full of children," Zeb muttered, "Let's get out of here."
With that said, the Phantom II detached from the Ghost and flew towards the planet Mykapo below with both of the A-wings.
"The Iron Squadron," a hologram of Sato repeated from the Ghost's holotable within the common room in disbelief after he heard Hera's report of the evacuation of Mykapo with Hera sitting on one side of the couch surrounding the holotable, while Satele sat on the other end of the holotable as Chopper rolled towards the holotable, "That was my brother's detachment. He was killed on Mykappo, and I feared his son, Mart Mattin, was dead too. Blasted boy. Never responded to my transmissions. He has always been somewhat rebellious."
"Yeah, that sounds like him," Hera said, confirming what the pilot of the YT-2400 was acting like.
"Please, make sure my nephew escapes with the others," Sato requested as he turned towards Hera, "Bring him to Atollon if you can."
"We'll get him, Commander Sato," Satele assured Sato as he turned away from Hera and towards her.
The Ghost soon docked with the YT-2400 light freighter as Hera, Chopper and both Mandalorians walked through the airlock from the Ghost as they entered the YT-2400 light freighter before a door in front of them slid open and saw a white skinned Theelin with purple markings, pink hair that was dyed Cyan in the back and green eyes sitting on top of a crate in the room across from them, causing both Mandalorians to look at each other before a human male with a light skin tone, blue eyes and shaven blonde hair appeared in the doorway.
"Welcome aboard," the human male greeted, "We'll take you to our captain." The Theelin then hopped off the crate as they began walking through the ship and saw that the ship had some problems as they heard electricity spark from above.
"Ship needs a little work," Sabine muttered as air from the cooling system hissed into her face from above.
"Try not to touch anything. It's organized the way we like it," the Theelin told them.
"If you like a junk pile," Sabine remarked.
"Sis, be nice," Satele told her sister, not wanting to start a fight between her and the Theelin as they entered the ship's Hyperdrive room and saw a R3 series astromech droid colored yellow and silver with red and blue on its coverings for its utility arms repairing their ship's Hyperdrive and Chopper grunted as he saw the R3 series astromech, which turned its dome to look at him and chirped back before he grunted again.
"Whoa. Your Hyperdrive doesn't work?" Satele said as she noticed that their Hyperdrive wasn't operational.
"We don't need a fancy Hyperdrive," the male human told her, "Mart's the best pilot in the galaxy."
"Chopper can fix it," she told him as Chopper rolled forward as the R3 series astromech rolled towards Chopper as Chopper pulled out both of his metal arms, while the R3 series astromech did the same for his utility arms as they began fighting as the Theelin placed her hands on their domes to separate them as aware tried to stop the two droids from fighting as well, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, hey! Back off!"
"Yeah, well, R3 fixes things around here," the Theelin explained to them as they began to leave the room.
"Chop, just let it go," Satele told Chopper.
"Hey, Captain," the human male said said as they approached their pilot, who had a light skin tone, brown eyes and black hair as they sat in a seat within the cockpit, "Company's here."
"Uh-huh," the ship's pilot muttered.
"So, you guys are the entire Iron Squadron? The three of you?" Sabine asked with disbelief in her voice.
"Nice. You can count," the ship's pilot said as he looked at her with the corner of his eye.
"Hey, I'm Satele. That's Hera, my sister, Sabine and uh, Chopper," Satele said, pointing at each of them as she introduced each of them to the Iron Squadron.
"I'm Gooti," the Theelin said, introducing herself before introducing the rest of the Iron Squadron to them, "Jonner, R3 and that's Mart."
"Mart?" Satele repeated, "Uh, I think we know your uncle."
"So, you know Commander Sato," Mart realized as he turned towards them in his seat, "He order you to come get me?"
"We're part of his Phoenix Squadron, a rebel group fighting the Empire. We came here to help anti-Imperial dissidents like yourselves evacuate," Hera answered.
"What does evacuate mean?" Jonner asked before chuckling.
"It means run away like a coward," Mart answered as he crossed his legs upwards as he sat in his seat with his arms behind the back of his head, "Unless you didn't notice, we fight and make the Empire evacuate."
"They'll be back," Hera warned them.
"Can we eat?" Gooti asked as she placed some space waffles on the table next to Mart and Jonner, "I'm starving."
"Oh, let me in there!" Jonner exclaimed as he took one of the waffles before sniffing it, "Mm." He went to eat it before turning to the Ghost crew, "Oh, hey, you want some?"
"Thank you, but we don't have time," Hera declined as Jonner went to hand it to her, "Let me debrief you on our plan to-"
"How debrief is this gonna be?" Jonner asked as he interrupted the Twi'lek.
"Look, it doesn't matter," Mart told them as he threw one of the space waffles that was in his hand backwards, "We are not going anywhere."
"You can't stay here and fight the Empire alone," Satele said, trying to reason with them.
"What do you think we've been doing?" Mart asked them.
"If we hadn't jumped in and helped you back there-" Hera began.
"Helped us? We had everything under control " Mart argued, "Didn't you see how we chased off that Star Destroyer?"
"Yeah, that was not a Star Destroyer. It was only a transport," Sabine said as she corrected Mart.
"You're all very brave," Hera told them, "But once the Empire arrives in full force, that won't matter."
"This is our world and we aren't just gonna leave so some Imperial goons can take it," Mart said as he argued with them as he stood up.
"We're not gonna run," Jonner said, agreeing with him.
"Now now, not ever," Gooti added as she crossed her arms.
"The blockade over Synistahg is proceeding as planned," an Imperial officer reported to Thrawn on his own Personal Star Destroyer which had a stylized depiction of a three headed creature called a Chimaera engraved on the ventral side of its hull as the Star Destroyer was also named, 'The Chimaera' as it and three other Star Destroyers hovered above Lothal as he and Konstantine approached him in the bridge as the Grand Admiral was studying a Star Map on the holotable in the bridge, "Martial law has been declared on Mykapo but a small pocket of resistance continues to be troublesome."
"Mykapo has no armed militia or starfighter corps," Thrawn informed him, "What resistance is there to be so troublesome?"
"One ship calling themselves the Iron Squadron recently attacked an advance patrol with the aid of this rebel vessel," the Imperial officer answered as the projection of the star map switched to a hologram of the Ghost appearing on the holotable.
"Oh, the Ghost," Thrawn observed, "They're likely evacuating the treasonous inhabitants before we can arrest them. As for this Iron Squadron, very curious. Admiral Konstantine, go to Mykapo and lock down the system."
"I will deploy a squadron of ships," Konstantine offered.
"No, Admiral. I want you to handle it yourself. A single light cruiser should be more than sufficient for a man of your talents," Thrawn insisted.
"You would send me in one ship?" Konstantine asked in disbelief.
"Unless you're not...up to it," Thrawn explained.
"I will leave immediately," Konstantine replied, bowing his head before leaving the room with the Imperial officer.
Kanan and Zeb climbed down the Ghost's ladder after the Phantom II reattached with the Ghost as Hera sat on the couch behind the holotable with Sabine sitting on one of the stools in front of the holotable while her sister stood close by as a hologram of Rex appeared on the holotable, with his arms crossed as Kanan approached the holotable, crossing his arms as well.
"Well, we have cleared the planet of everyone who wanted to get out before the Empire returns," Rex reported.
"Prepare to rendezvous with the fleet. We'll meet you there," Hera said as the holotable switched off.
"What about Iron Squadron?" Kanan asked Hera.
"They're not coming," Hera answered her boyfriend, "I'll tell Sato."
"Hera, wait," Satele said as Hera stood up, "Let me try again."
"You don't have the time. Their ship has no Hyperdrive and the Empire will be back sooner than later," Hera reminded the Mandalorian.
"Right, but Sabine and I had an idea," Satele told her.
"Hmm? Oh, yeah. Chop, Satele and I can try to fix their Hyperdrive," Sabine explained, "At least that'll give them a chance to escape."
"Ah, all right," Hera sighed, "But I want you all out of there, soon as possible, whether you convince them to leave or not."
"We got this, right, Sis?" Satele asked her sister as she embraced both Sabine and Chopper in a hug.
The Ghost soon detached from the YT-2400 light freighter as it departed while the Phantom II detached from the Ghost and docked with the YT-2400 light freighter.
Inside the YT-2400 light freighter, Sabine, Satele and Chopper were helping R3 fix the Hyperdrive as Chopper pounded a tool on the Hyperdrive with Satele helping the droids as Sabine stood at the Hyperdrive's computer system while Jonner, Gooti and Mart watched from the edge of the room.
"This is a waste of time," Mart muttered before turning away as he left the room.
"If we can't get your Hyperdrive working, you'll have to come with us on our ship," Satele told Jonner and Gooti as she looked at them.
"If Mart isn't going, we're not going," Jonner told her as Gooti crossed her arms.
"This might be just a planet to you but it's our home," Gooti said, agreeing with Jonner as she placed her arms on her hips.
"Look, I knew people who were like you, didn't want to leave their home when I lived on Lothal," Satele told them, "But I convinced them to leave as they were so afraid as they didn't know it at the time."
"Ha! We're not afraid of the Empire," Gooti said, scoffing at what she suggested.
"I know you're not," Satele told her, "You're afraid of losing everything, like the people who I helped leave Lothal did."
"So you understand why we do what we do," Jonner told her.
"I understand that the Empire wants us to fight because that makes it easy for them to destroy us," Satele explained.
"So you're saying we should do nothing?" Gooti asked her in disbelief.
"No. I'm saying how we choose to fight is just as important as what we fight for," Satele explained to them as the power turned on for a few moments before turning back off, surprising her, "What happened?"
Chopper grunted an answer as Sabine leaned towards him. "What do you mean, the power is being rerouted? To where?" He grunted a response again, "The guns and the shields?"
"Mart," Gooti realized.
"Fixing the Hyperdrive is useless if the Power isn't switched back," Sabine told them when Mart suddenly spoke through the ship's communications system.
"Iron Squadron, get to your battle stations now!" Mart suddenly said as he spoke through the ship's communications system.
As Mart said that, Satele, Sabine, Jonner , Gooti and both astromechs left the Hyperdrive room for the cockpit.
As they entered the cockpit, they saw two Gozanti-class cruisers being led by an Imperial light cruiser in the distance after the Imperial vessels exited Hyperspace with several TIE fighters and bombers detaching from the Gozanti-class cruisers.
"There's one small freighter," an Imperial officer reported to Konstantine on the Imperial Light Cruiser's bridge.
"Thrawn overestimated these rebels," Konstantine muttered to himself.
"Finally, a Star Destroyer!" Mart announced, mistaking the Light Cruiser for a Star Destroyer.
"No, that's a light cruiser," Sabine corrected as she came up to him, "Star Destroyers are six times that big."
"Yeah, well, prepare for battle anyway," Mart told them, dismissing the odds of their victory against the Light Cruiser.
"Mart, you can't be serious!" Satele said with disbelief as she objected.
"Look, we need to get to the Phantom. It's time to go," Sabine said, agreeing with her.
"You need to come with us now!" Satele added, trying to convince him.
"Mart, maybe she's right," Gooti said, agreeing with both Mandalorians as he began to fly the ship towards the Imperial fighters.
"That's a lot of Imperial ships and they say there are even more on the way," Jonner said, agreeing with them.
"What's with you two?" Mart asked them.
"They're not ready to die," Satele answered as the TIE fighters headed towards them as they fired upon the YT-2400 light freighter.
"Come on, buddy!" Jonner said, pleading with Mart.
"We have no choice," Gooti added as the ship's alarms began to go off.
"Fine, fine. Let's go," Mart said, finally agreeing with them and stood up as Jooner and Gooti ran out of the cockpit with him leaving a few seconds after the twins left the cockpit as well and soon Sabine entered the Phantom II and sat on the pilot's seat after entering the shuttle from the airlock with Jonner, Gooti.
"Hurry it up!" Sabine said as the two astromechs flew up into the shuttle with their rocket boosters before Satele climbed up into the shuttle.
"Mart, hurry!" Satele urged Mart as Mart outside the airlock pressed a button on a panel next to it, causing the airlock to close.
"No!" Jonner cried, not wanting to leave their captain as Mart pressed another button on the panel, disengaging the airlock.
"He disengaged the airlock," Satele said, hooping on one of the shuttle's seats next to her sister as the Phantom II began to drift away.
"Look!" Jonner said, pointing at the shuttle's front window, seeing Mart piloting the YT-2400 light freighter towards the Imperials.
"What's he thinking?" Satele asked before contacting him on the shuttle's communications system, "Mart, we're coming in. You need to get out of there."
"No! Jump! Get Gooti and Jonner to safety while you still can," Mart argued.
As Mart said this, he began to fight the TIEs head-on as Satele followed after him in the Phantom II as the Gozanti-class cruiser began firing on the YT-2400 light freighter, causing damage to the cargo crates that the YT-2400 light freighter was carrying before Mart pounded his fist on the ship's control stick, causing the containers to begin flying towards the Light cruiser.
"Incoming targets," the Imperial officer that was standing next to Konstantine on the Imperial Light Cruiser reported to the admiral.
"Intercept with the forward batteries," Konstantine ordered as the Imperial Light Cruiser began firing its turbolasers at the cargo crates.
"I got 'em. I got 'em!" Mart cried, believing that he destroyed the Light Cruiser as the Phantom II appeared through the smoke created by the explosion before TIEs began flying towards the YT-2400 light freighter firing at it with their laser cannons, "I didn't get them." He began to fly away as the TIEs fired upon the YT-2400 light freighter, shooting out the ship's engines, leaving the YT-2400 light freighter stranded in space.
"His engines are hit," Sabine observed as she saw the YT-2400 light freighter stranded in space, "Power's fried from that coupling."
"What are you doing?" Jonner asked Sabine as the Phantom II began to fly away.
"We have to go," she explained.
"No, we have to save him," Jonner argued.
"Hera gave you a direct order and you said that you would follow it, Sis," Sabine reminded Satele as she saw that her sister had a conflicted look on her face.
"Mart, do you read?" Satele said, contacting Mart with the Phantom II's communications system.
"Satele, go. Get my friends out of here," Mart said, answering Satele's transmission.
"We'll come back for you," Satele promised before the Phantom II jumped into Hyperspace.
"Come on. Come on!" Mart muttered as he struggled to turn on the YT-2400 light freighter's power in the cockpit as he clicked buttons and soon the power in the room sputtered back on before turning back off as he saw TIE bombers flying towards the ship and deployed an explosive charge on the ship's hull before flying back to the Gozanti-class cruisers, "Whatever they're up to, it can't be good. I really did it this time."
"Admiral, the mine is armed and the rebel ship is attempting to beam out a transmission," the Imperial officer reported to Konstantine as he walked back towards him on the Imperial Light Cruiser's bridge.
"Excellent," Konstantine told him, "Monitor it. If the rebels are as predictable as I believe, they will not ignore a distress call."
"The Empire has my ship surrounded but hasn't fired on me yet. I don't know what they're up to. I hate to admit it, but I need your…" A holorecording of Mart from a holotable informed Hera, Kanan, Zeb, the Mandalorian twins, Jonner and Gooti, Rex, Lux and a hologram of Sato as they stood in a debriefings room of a CR-90 corvette.
"Help," Gooti finished for the hologram of Mart as the hologram of Mart sputtered before disappearing, "He was going to say help."
"The Empire allowed that part of the transmission to get through, then they cut it off," Hera explained to everyone.
"I will go," Sato volunteered.
"Commander, you're too far away. You'd never make it in time," Hera pointed out.
"She's right, Commander," Lux said, agreeing with the Twi'lek.
"I am all the family he has left," Sato explained.
"Still, you are too far away to help him," Lux reminded him, "Captain Syndulla should help your nephew instead."
"I agree with Senator Bonteri," Hera told Sato, "Let me take the Ghost, go in quietly and get him out of there."
"You have my gratitude, Captain, you too, Senator," Sato told them, accepting their offer before his hologram disappeared as the room's lights lit back up.
"Wait, you're really going back? I'm…" Gooti started as she spoke to Satele as the rest of the Ghost crew left the debriefings room, "We are all for helping Mart but it's obviously a trap."
"If it's obviously a trap, it's not a very good one," Satele told her as she began to follow her sister and the others out of the debriefings room, "We were outnumbered before but we're going bac as a team and that'll give mart a fighting chance."
"All right if we tag along?" Gooti asked as she and Jonner followed Satele into the Ghost's cockpit along with R3 and Chopper as Sabine sat in the co-pilot's seat, next to Hera.
"We saved you both a seat," Satele answered as she climbed down the ladder to the nose gun as the Ghost detached and flew away from the corvette and jumped into Hyperspace.
Mart tried clicking buttons on his YT-2400 light freighter's dashboard to restart the ship only for it to not respond and pounded on the control stick before hearing a beeping sound as the Ghost jumped out of Hyperspace.
"Look alive, Mart. We're back," Sabine said from the Ghost.
"I don't believe it," Mart muttered to himself as he saw the Ghost fly towards the YT-2400 light freighter.
"The rebel ship known as the Ghost has re-entered the system," the Imperial officer reported to Konstantine as he walked back towards him.
"I want to destroy both ships at once," Konstantine told him, "Do not trigger the mine until I order it."
"Kanan, keep those TIEs off us," Hera ordered as TIE fighters began to fly towards them after being deployed from the Gozanti-class cruisers as Kanan sat in the ship's rear cannon and turned to Gooti, "Gooti, you ready on that hoist?"
"Yes, ma'am," Gooti replied after sliding down the ladder to the cargo hold before she pulled the ship's hoist out of the wall in front of her as she took out a comlink to contact Mart, "Mart, we're coming in."
"Goot, the Empire attached something onto my ship," Mart told them.
"Hmm, probably a magno-mine. Remote detonated," Sabine surmised.
"That changes things," Hera stated before turning to Jonner, "You big guy, get the droids ready to go outside."
"Yes, ma'am!" Jonner said, saluting her before getting up to leave the room with R3 and Chop, "Come on, droids, move it!" The Ghost flew above the Imperial Light Cruiser as Kanan fired at the TIE fighters.
"Get ready, you two!" Jonner said as he and the droids entered the cargo hold before they stood by the wall.
"Opening the cargo bay doors," Gooti announced as she pressed a button to open the cargo bay doors with the hoist.
"Copy that. Moving into position," Hera replied on the ship's communications system.
"Go!" Jonner told the droids with R3 chirping as he was scared only for Chopper to push him off as he pulled out both of his metal arms before jumping out of the Cargo hold with both droids activating their rocket boosters as they flew towards the crippled YT-2400 light freighter and saw the Magno-mine attached to the hull of the ship, beeping.
As this happened, the Ghost began to fly away as Kanan fired the cannons at the TIEs chasing them.
"Sir, they broke off the rescue. Perhaps they detected the mine," the Imperial officer told Konstantine as he saw the Ghost flying away from the YT-2400 light freighter.
Chopper and R3 then flew towards the magno-mine and landed before it as Mart watched from the cockpit as R3 deployed his utility arms, while Chopper did the same for his metal arms as he held a tool for removing the magno-mine in one of his arms.
"Chop, disable the detonator. The red light on top," Sabine said to the droids on their built-in comlinks, "R3, turn off the magnetic clamp but carefully." As she said this Chopper accidentally stung himself with the magno-mine by the tool he was holding, causing him to hit R3 as the magno-mine floated away from them with Chopper flying towards it after he let go of the tool he was holding that accidentally caused him to get stung by the magno-mine.
"Admiral, I've lost the mine's signal," the Imperial officer reported to Konstantine as he used a computer in front of them.
"Well, get it back!" Konstantine ordered the Imperial officer.
"Hey, care to let me in on the plan?" Mart asked with his comlink as he saw Chopper grab the magno-mine with R3 following him below.
"The droids are attaching the mine to one of your cargo crates," Sabine explained.
"Ah. Ah, I get it," Mart said as he realized what she meant.
Chopper then let go of the magno-mine as he and R3 approached one of the cargo crates below with R3 electrocuting it onto the cargo crates with one of his utility arms before reactivating it as it began beeping rapidly again.
"I've reacquired the mine's signal," the Imperial officer reported to Konstantine.
"Very good," Konstantine said as he was pleased with what the Imperial officer reported to him.
"The bomb is in place but my ship's not going anywhere," Mart told Hera through his ship's communications system, "Can your droid get me flying again?"
"Sorry. No time for repairs," Hera answered, "Get the droids inside and get ready for a pickup."
Chopper and R3 then rolled into the YT-2400 light freighter's cockpit after they entered the ship as he turned to them, "Good job, guys."
"They're moving in again," Konstantine said as he saw the Ghost swoop back around towards the YT-2400 light freighter, "Prepare to detonate." As he said that, the Ghost landed on top of the YT-2400 light freighter as they began to dock with it, "We have them. Detonate the mine!"
"I'm… I'm trying," the Imperial officer said, trying to detonate the magno-mine.
"Gooti, lock onto the ship," Hera ordered the Theelin as the Ghost started to clank off of the YT-2400 light freighter, causing her to nearly fall, only for Jonner to stop her from falling and helped her back to the hoist as the Imperial LIght Cruiser start to fire its turbolasers at them, "Hurry! Our shields can't take much more of this!"
"Captain Syndulla, reinforcements have arrived," Sato announced on the Ghost's communications system.
"Sato," Hera said as Sato's CR90 corvette along with a squad of A-wings jumped out of Hyperspace behind them and began firing their turbolasers and laser cannons at the TIE fighters.
"Maintain fire. We must cover those ships," Sato told his corvette's pilots as he sat on his seat within the corvette's Bridge before contacting his nephew, "Mart, you are not alone. We will get you out of this."
"Uncle Jun," Mart said with joy in his voice as he heard his uncle's voice over his ship's communications system as he stood up and smiled.
"It's a rebel command ship," Kontantine said as Sato's corvette destroyed both Gozanti-class cruisers and began flying towards his Imperial Light Cruiser, "Call for reinforcements!"
Gooti soon pressed a button on the Ghost's hoist, causing the Ghost to finally dock with the YT-2400 light freighter, "Got him!"
"Mart, get your bomb ready. We're making a run for that cruiser," Hera told Mart with the Ghost's communications system as Sato's corvette and A-wings began to attack the Imperial Light Cruiser.
"Standing by, Captain," Mart replied as he began to set the magno-mine's detonator as well as his cargo crates.
"Will you detonate the mine!?" Konstantine ordered the Imperial officer with impatience in his voice.
"It's not responding, sir!" The Imperial officer said, explaining to him why the magno-mine wasn't detonating.
As the Ghost was carrying the YT-2400 light freighter flew past the Imperial Light Cruiser, Mart pounded his fist on his ship's control stick, deploying the cargo crate, which flew towards and collided with the Imperial Light Cruiser's forward compartment as the magno-mine detonated, setting the Imperial Light Cruiser as the Imperial officer screamed as they were flown backwards, behind one of the Bridge's railings.
As the Ghost began to fly away with the YT-2400 light freighter with Sato's corvette and the squad of A-wings in front of them, Thrawn's Star Destroyer, the Chimaera suddenly jumped out of Hyperspace in front of them.
"Now, that is a Star Destroyer," Sabine explained to Mart with the Ghost's communications system as Gooti and Jonner walked back into the cockpit, while Kanan sat on the seat behind Hera.
"Okay, then let's get out of here," Mart suggested as the Ghost, Sato's corvette and the A-wings swooped back around as the Chimaera deployed TIE fighters, which began to fire upon them with their laser cannons.
"Commander Jun Sato," Thrawn said, greeting Sato on his corvette's communications system, "I wondered what it would take to motivate your return to Mykapo."
"And now you know, Admiral," Sato told the Chiss, "Until we meet again."
"Yes, until we meet again," Thrawn said, agreeing with Sato as the TIE fighters continued to fire upon the A-wings, the Ghost carrying the YT-2400 light freighter and Sato's corvette before the rebel ships jumped into Hyperspace.
"Admiral Konstantine, you called for assistance?" A hologram of Thrawn asked Konstantine as he appeared in the Bridge of the crippled Imperial Light Cruiser.
"Quite the contrary. Admiral, I was contacting you to report the rebels have been driven from this system," Konstantine said, lying as he didn't want Thrawn to know the true reason why he contacted him.
"I assume you mean the rebels and their sympathizers escaped?" Thrawn said, correcting Konstantine, causing the admiral to clear his throat.
Later on Atollon after the Ghost detached the YT-2400 light freighter and landed it on one of the landing spots at Chopper Base, while the Ghost was landed on the landing spot across from the one that the YT-2400 light freighter was landed at as the ramps of both ships lowered as Hera, the rest of the Ghost crew along with Gooti and Jonner walked down the Ghost's ramp as Mart, Chopper and R3 walked down the ramp of the YT-2400 light freighter as Sato, Lux and Rex approached Mart.
"It's good to see you alive, Mart," Sato told his nephew as he placed his hand on Mart's right shoulder as Rex crossed his arms, while Lux placed one of his hands on one of his hips before Mart hugged him, causing Sato to embrace him in a hug as well.
"Uncle Jun, thank you for coming," Mart said, thanking his uncle.
"Of course," Sato said as they stopped hugging as he gestured to the Ghost crew as well as both Gooti and Jonner as they began approaching them, "But we are also indebted to Captain Syndulla and her crew."
"Yeah!" Jonner yelled as he ran up to Mart, hugging him as Gooti followed him, laughing.
"I can't believe it! You guys came back!" Mart told them.
"What do you expect?" Gooti began to say.
"We're the Iron Squadron!" Jonner finished for Gooti before he pulled them in for a hug for a split second with his arms as they started laughing, "Yeah!" Everyone else watched them with smiles on their faces as they saw Mart, Gooti and Jonner cheering before Chopper hit R3 from behind.
