The Ghost was flying through Hyperspace with Hera piloting the ship and Kanan sitting in the co-pilot's seat as Satele walked into the cockpit with Rex and Zeb and sat down in the seat behind Kanan with Chopper standing next to her, while Sabine was standing at one of the cockpit's computer systems next to her.
"So, do we finally get to find out what this mission is about?" Satele asked as Rex stood behind her as he crossed his arms with Zeb standing next to him as he placed his hands over his hips.
"Hera already told you, Sat," Sabine reminded her as she playfully slapped her on the back of the head, "It's a secret."
"Isn't that everything we do?" Satele asked as she rubbed the back of her head for a second.
"Some things more than others," Hera explained as she turned to her for a second before turning to her astromech, "OK, Chop, put command through." Chopper then activated his holoprojected as Commander Sato and Senators Lux Bonteri and Bail Organa appeared from Chopper's holoprojector, "Senator Organa?"
"I wanted to explain the mission personally, Captain Syndulla," Organa explained, "There is much at stake."
"How can we help?" Kanan asked him.
"Rebel command received your report on the apparent disappearance of the Geonosian people. After some debate, we decided to take a risk and investigate," Organa explained.
"So we're looking for Geonosians?" Satele asked them.
"No. You are looking for the team we already sent," Organa answered, "We lost contact with them two cycles ago."
"Do you think it was the Empire?" Kanan asked them.
"Unknown. Contact was lost after the team reported an energy source on the planet's surface," Sato answered.
"Energy source?" Hera said with confusion and surprise in her voice, "When we went to Geonosis, there was nothing. No signs of life or power."
"Your primary mission is to recover our people and any intel they gathered," Lux told them.
"Who is it we're looking for?" Hera asked them.
"Saw Gerrera," Rex answered, causing Satele, Kanan, Hera, Zeb and Sabine to look at him with surprise.
"Captain Rex is correct. Your mission is to find Saw Gerrera and his team that we sent to Geonosis," Lux told them.
"Rex, you knew about this?" Kanan asked Rex with surprise in his voice.
"Yeah, I did," Rex confirmed, "I've known Saw a long time and I've learned about when he's concerned about something it's usually worth taking a closer work. Senator Bonteri does as well."
"Rex is right, I knew him from the Clone Wars, me and him were part of a resistance group to overthrow King Rash of Onderon, who was just a puppet for the Separatists in order to restore King Dendup during the liberation of Onderon after Rash and the Separatists invaded our home planet as he tried to keep Onderon neutral in the war," Lux said, telling them that Rex was right about him knowing Saw Gerrera.
"So what happened to the king after the Empire took over?" Satele asked the Onderonian senator.
"He was imprisoned for standing up against the Empire's occupation, a few months after the war ended," Lux answered.
"So, Saw is worried about what we found?" Satele asked them.
"He's worried about what we didn't find," Rex corrected her.
"The construction modules and debris we saw last time it's all gone," Hera observed as the Ghost jumped out of Geonosis as she saw that the construction modules and debris that was around the planet the last time they were there had vanished.
"Well, I'm picking up a power source on the surface right where Command said it would be but I can't raise Saw on any channel. There's only static," Sabine announced as she turned away from the computer system towards her sister and the others.
"Geonosians live underground," Kanan told her, "It's possible Saw and his people can't hear our transmissions."
"Let's get down there and find out," Hera said as she flew the Ghost down towards the planet below and as they entered the planet's atmosphere they realized that there was a sandstorm occuring on the planet, "Hang on. This storm is wreaking havoc on my scopes. Chopper, stabilizers!" Chopper then rolled up to the astromech port in the cockpit and plugged his scomp link into it and rotated it around as Zeb sat in the seat next to Satele, while Rex stood behind them with his hands on the back of both seats.
"How does it feel to be back, Rex?" Zeb asked the clone as he turned to him.
"Honestly?" Rex scoffed, "I was hoping I'd never have to come back to this dust ball."
"I had to set her down, but we're in the neighborhood," Hera said after a few moments of flying the Ghost through Geonosis' atmosphere before landing the Ghost on the planet's surface.
"According to Command, Gerrera's recon team entered a structure two klicks of our current position," Rex said as he stared at the computer system that Sabine was standing at as he stood in front of her before turning to the others as Sabine stood behind him at the back of the seat her sister was sitting on as she placed her hand on top of the seat.
"Maybe they took shelter?" Satele suggested.
"It's possible," Kanan said, thinking about what she said before turning to his other Padawan, "Sabine, what about the power source you detected?"
"Different location, and close," Sabine answered as she walked back up to the computer system as she checked the location of the power source with it as Rex placed his hand near his chin and beard for a second before lowering his arms, "But thanks to the storm I can't get a precise reading about where or what it is."
"Keep working on it," Hera told her as she stood up, "Until we know more about that power source we'll split up in two groups. Rex, Kanan, Satele and Chopper. Go check out the coordinates of Saw's last transmission."
"What about me?" Zeb asked as he pointed at himself.
"You're staying here with us, in case the Empire comes along," Hera answered.
"So I can bust some buckets," Zeb chuckled as he pounded his fist into his palm.
Kanan, Rex, Satele and Chopper soon left the Ghost as they walked through the sandstorm with Rex leading them as he, Kanan, Satele and Chopper walked through the storm as Kanan had his arm under his head and above his chest, while the Mandaloran and clone had their hands over their helmets' visors as they were wearing their helmets with Satele also wearing her jetpack as she also had her helmet's built-in flashlight activated as Rex had his own flashlight activated as Chopper did the same with his built-in flashlight as he grunted a complaint.
"Well, I can't see anything either," Satele told Chopper as she agreed with him.
"There's a temple up ahead and probably an entrance to the underground passages," Rex reported before they began to approach the temple that Rex saw and within moments they entered the temple and began looking around the room for Gerrera, "Saw?! Saw Gerrera?!"
"Anyone here? Saw?" Satele said, calling out to Saw Gerrera as well.
"Spread out and see if you can find the entrance to the underground," Rex ordered Kanan, Satele and Chopper.
"I can't believe it," Satele said as she stared at the temple they were standing in with disbelief in her voice as she removed her helmet, "Did the bugs build this?"
"Oh, yes. They're more clever than you would think, and creative," Rex said, confirming her suspicions, "That doesn't mean they aren't dangerous as well."
"So, Rex, how do you know Saw Gerrera?" Kanan asked Rex.
"Oh, we go way back," Rex said as he turned towards the blind Jedi Knight and turned off his flashlight before taking his helmet off as well, "I trained him, Lux and his sister, Steela during the Clone War. They were part of a plan to help localized militias fight for themselves against the Separatists or as Lux put it earlier, a resistance against the Separatist occupation of Onderon. She didn't make it. But he carried on… and even started his own rebel cell after the Empire took over, while as for Lux, he followed in his mother's footsteps to become Senator of Onderon after they defeated the Separatists and had close ties with Saw for a while after he formed his rebel cell until they had disagreements on how to fight the Empire."
"Hey, I think I found something," Satele announced as she kneeled down towards the floor as she aimed her helmet's built-in flashlight at a crevice of some kind on the floor with Chopper doing the same thing for his built-in flashlight as Kanan and Rex began to approach them as both the clone and Mandalorian had their helmets under their arms, "Looks like some kind of passage down there."
"This is the entrance to the tunnels," Rex said as he shined his flashlight at the crevice, "Looks like it was deliberately sealed."
"Well, not sealed enough," Satele told him, "This must be where Saw's team went in." Chopper then activated a scanner to pick up a signal and aimed it through the crevice before grunted as Satele turned to Kanan and Rex, "Chopper's still not picking up signals of any kind."
"Let's go take a look," Kanan told them as Chopper entered the crevice as Satele placed her helmet back over her head before following Chopper into the crevice as Rex placed his helmet back over his head as well as he and Kanan began to follow Chopper as well.
"So what do they look like? The Geonosians?" Satele asked Rex, looking at him as they walked down the tunnel.
"Well, they kind of look like battle droids, to tell you the truth," Rex answered, "Ugly battle droids that smell."
"Hmm. Looks like all these side passages have been blocked off," Satele noted as she looked at one of the passageways on her side and saw that rubble had blocked the passageway.
"Yeah. Deliberately. Just like above," Rex told her as he aimed his flashlight at another blocked passageway.
"Why would they do that?" Satele asked him.
"The air is still down here," Kanan told them as he walked towards them.
"The sealed passages must be blocking the airflow," Rex surmised, "Clearly limits our options for going forward."
"Here!" Satele said, calling out to Kanan, Rex and hopper as she entered an unsealed passageway and picked up a helmet on the ground as Kanan, Rex and Chopper approached her in the unsealed passageway as she turned to them and showed her the helmet that was in her hand, "I found a helmet."
"I know this marking," Rex said as he took the helmet from her and aimed his flashlight at it as he saw a symbol with a three-pronged crest on top of the helmet, "It's from Saw's team." As he said that, Chopper rolled ahead and shined his flashlight at another helmet with the same symbol as the one that Satele picked up that Rex took from her on the ground with a blaster next to it as he turned his dome a bit towards the others as he grunted.
"There's another," Satele said as she looked at the helmet that Chopper saw with her helmet's built-in flashlight before shining it at others of the same type of helmet that had the same symbol as the other two helmet's of Saw Gerrera's team through the tunnel with blaster pistols and rifles next to the helmets, "Oh, and more down there."
"All from Saw's unit," Rex stated as he looked at the helmets as well.
"But where are the people?" She asked as the bodies of Saw Gerrera's team were missing.
"They must've been attacked," he surmised.
"By who?" She asked him when Kanan suddenly heard a faint chitter sound in the distance.
"There's something up ahead," Kanan told them as he walked in front of them with his right arm extended outward as a figure in the shadows stood in one of the tunnels in the distance before walking away, "It's moving away."
"What is it?" Satele asked her master.
"It's gone," Kanan said as he turned around towards Satele, Rex and Chopper, "We should go, too."
"Go?" Rex said, repeating what Kanan said in disbelief.
"Kanan, why?" Satele asked with confusion in her voice, "We have to find Saw's rebels."
"Satele, all we found are sealed up tunnels and some rebel gear," Kanan told her, "There's something working against us. I'm not sure what but we're out of our element and away from your sister and our team."
"We'll just call for backup," Satele suggested before turning to Chopper, "Chop, get Hera." Chopper then went to contact Hera with his transmitter, only for it to beep negative before grunting, telling them that he couldn't contact Hera and the others.
"We must be too deep," Kanan surmised as he sighed, "The signal can't reach her."
"Someone's down here, and I bet they know what happened," Satele argued, "I say we go on. Rex, it's up to you to break the tie." Chopper then grunted, asking her if he could vote, "Nope, you don't get a vote." Chopper then grunted, frustratedly as he took out both of his metal arms.
"Well, if you ask my opinion, I say we press on. I know Saw would do the same for me," Rex said, agreeing with Satele.
"OK, we'll keep going," Kanan relented as Satele and Rex walked ahead of him, "But there's times I hate being right, but I hope this isn't one of 'em."
Within moments of exploring the tunnel, Satele stopped at a sealed passageway and picked up one of the helmet's of Saw Gerrera's team in front of rubble that was sealing a passageway after they walked past a crevice above that, where a mysterious figure was spying on them before Satele kneeled down towards the helmet and picked it up, "I don't understand. Where did the rebels go? It's just a dead end."
"Do you have to call it that?" Kanan groaned when they suddenly heard the sound of clanking in the distance.
"Look! Are those Geonosians?" Satele asked as she got up and saw shadows of B1 battle droids approaching them.
"Not Geonosians. Clankers," Rex said, correcting her.
"Halt. You will be eliminated," one of the battle droids told them, which Satele, Kanan and Rex saw that it was a battle droid commander.
"Battle droids, but not the ones that are allied with the Rebellion," Kanan said as he grabbed his lightsaber from his belt and ignited it as he held his saber in his right hand and extended his left hand outwards with his hand's pinky and ring finger slightly bent as he went into the combat stance known as Makashi as Rex pulled out one of his DC-17s and aimed it at the battle droids.
"We can do this," Satele said as she grabbed both of her lightsabers from her armor's belt and ignited them as she held her sabers in a reverse grip.
"Oh," the battle droid commander muttered.
"Uh…" another battle droid muttered as a Droideka rolled through as they stepped aside before the Droideka stopped and went into it's attack formation and activated it's shield, "Blast 'em!"
"OK, we can probably do this," Satele said, rephrasing what she said moments earlier.
"Nice," Kanan muttered, sarcastically.
"Jedi! Open fire!" The battle droid commander ordered before the Droideka and other battle droids bean firing upon Kanan, Satele and Rex as the battle droid commander did the same as Kanan and Satele deflected the blaster bolts with their lightsabers as Rex fired one of his DC-17s at the battle droids before going into cover when an explosion suddenly occurred near the battle droids, causing one of them to yelp before it and a few other battle droids were destroyed by the explosion as it caused the Droideka's shield to deactivate.
"What was that?" Satele asked as she saw what happened.
"It wasn't the droids," Rex stated as he aimed his DC-17 back at the battle droids.
"We've been outflanked!" The battle droid commander said as it stood in a passageway before being shot at by a bald, dark skinned man with a black colored beard wearing a pressurized suit and held a blaster pistol in his hands and fired it at another battle droid, who began to approach him.
The Droideka then got back up as it turned around as it began to fire at Kanan, Satele and Rex as the two Force-Wielders began to deflect the blaster bolts with their sabers as Rex fired his DC-17 before Satele and Kanan rushed towards the Droideka and slashed their sabers across the center of the droid before Kanan extended his arm as he used the Force to push it away as it sparked with electricity and as Rex walked forward he saw the man that was that shooting at the battle droids as they walked out of the shadows and saw that the man had green eyes and a scar over his left eyebrow and another one that went from the right side of his nose to his cheek.
"Saw," Rex said as he recognized the man and walked towards him as he turned off his flashlight and placed it inside one of his armor's bags around his belt.
"Captain Rex," Saw said, greeting the clone as he placed his blaster pistol in his armor's holster as Rex removed his helmet and did the same with his DC-17, "So, you decided to come to Geonosis after all."
"Yeah. To rescue you," Rex explained.
"Is that what's happening?" Saw asked him before chuckling before Rex smiled as they grabbed each other's hand as Rex held his helmet in his left hand and placed it near his chest.
"It's good to see you alive, my old friend," Rex told the Onderonian as Kanan and Satele deactivated their lightsabers before he turned to them, "I want you to meet Kanan and Satele." Chopper then grunted as Rex introduced Kanan and Satele to Saw, "Oh, right, and Chopper."
"So, you're Jedi," Saw said as he walked up to Kanan and Satele as they clipped their lightsabers back onto their belts.
"We do our best," Satele told him as she removed her helmet from her head after turning off her helmet's built-in flashlight and placed it under her arm.
"Never thought I'd meet another Jedi, much less two," Saw told them.
"The galaxy is full of surprises," Kanan told him.
"Including what's happening here on Geonosis," Saw added.
"You've found something?" Rex asked him as Saw turned towards him with a smirk on his face.
"How's it going out there?" Hera asked from the Ghost's cockpit, using the ship's communications system as Sabine and Zeb were walking outside through the sandstorm with the Mandalorian having her helmet over her head, while Zeb wore a gas mask over his mouth.
"This storm is gonna seriously damage my paint job," Sabine groaned as she clicked her helmet's comlink with one of her fingers.
"I meant with the mission," Hera said, rephrasing what she asked the Mandalorian.
"We're closing in on the power source. It's just up ahead," Sabine reported to the Twi'lek.
"Whatever it is, it's big," Zeb added.
"How do you know that?" Sabine asked him.
"Look," he said as he and Sabine approached a large structure ahead of them.
"Oh, I don't believe it," Sabine muttered as she inspected large structure ahead of them.
"Specter-5, what do you see?" Hera asked the Mandalorian from the Ghost as she used the ship's communications system.
"Hera, it's a shield generator," Sabine answered as she clicked her helmet's comlink with one of her fingers again.
"I didn't copy, Specter-5. Did you say shield generator?" Hera asked Sabine with disbelief in her voice.
"Oh, yeah. Military grade," Sabine confirmed over the Ghost's communications system as Zeb aimed his flashlight at the shield generator and checked to see if it was operational, "Looks like it's fully operational. This is what's responsible for those power readings."
"Can you extract the deflector core?" Hera asked from her helmet's comlink.
"Well, it won't be easy in this storm, but we can do it," Sabine answered.
"Luck's on our side for a change," Hera told her, "Chopper Base could really use a shield. Get to work. I'll contact Kanan." She then clicked a button on the Ghost's cockpit to contact Kanan, "Ghost to Specter-1. Do you read me?" She only got a static response and groaned as she tried contacting her boyfriend, "Specter-1, come in."
"So this shield, what do you think it was protecting?" Zeb asked Sabine as she began removing the deflector core from the shield generator.
"What do you mean?" She asked him as she clicked buttons on the deflector core.
"You don't just find a fully operational shield generator on a deserted planet for no reason," he explained as she stepped away from the shield generator.
"Good point," she said as he approached the deflector core and began to pull it out of the shield generator, "You know what that means?"
"Um, no. What does that mean?" Zeb asked the Mandalorian as he looked at her.
"Work fast!" She answered.
"A shield generator?" Rex said with disbelief as he, Kanan, Satele and Chopper stood with Saw in the passageway where he found them.
"Separatist model," Saw confirmed, "About as old as you, Rex. But someone's kept it operational, been maintaining it."
"Battle droids?" Satele asked the Onderonian.
"These old clankers?" Rex chuckled as he stepped on one of the destroyed battle droids, "Not a chance. Technology's too sophisticated. Besides, by the look of 'em someone's been repairing them, too."
"Well, we were following something," Satele told Saw, "That's how we wound up in this trap."
"It was a bug," Saw stated, "Had to be. He got my unit using the same tactics. I was the only survivor."
"Yeah, the more I hear, the more I don't like this," Kanan told them, "We should go back and report to Hera."
"Back? No, wait," Saw pleaded as they began to walk away from him before stopping as they turned back around towards the Onderonian, "You can't. That bug is the key to finding out what's going on here. Don't you understand what's at stake? We know the Empire wiped out the entire population of this planet. We need to find out why. The Empire is hiding something, something important and that bug… knows what it is."
"He's right. I say we go help Saw," Satele told Kanan and Rex as she looked at them.
"Hmm. I second that," Rex said, agreeing with the Mandalorian.
"OK," Kanan relented, "We can stay and search for the bug but we have to warn Hera about the droids first."
"I can help you with that," Saw told him as he left the passageway, "This way." Kanan, Satele, Rex and Chopper then began to follow him out of the passageway as both Satele and Rex placed their helmets back over their heads as Saw began to guide them through the tunnels as Rex took his flashlight back out and turned it back on as Satele did the same with her helmet's built-in flashlight, "I've been able to map a fair amount of these tunnels."
"There's a breeze," Kanan said as he felt air come towards him.
"Whoa. Watch your step, Master Jedi," Saw warned Kanan, placing his left arm in front of the blind Jedi Knight to stop him from walking forward before chuckling, "It's a long way down."
The five of them continued forward into a shaft as Satele looked down into the shaft below them that had a geological bridge-like structure below them as well as more of the geological bridge-like structures above them.
"Whoa," Satele said with amazement.
"I tracked the bug to this shaft," Saw told them, "But it severed the bridge, so I've never been able to get across."
"How far down does it go?" She asked him.
"Down? I don't know. But it goes all the way up to the surface," he answered as he looked up to the opening of the shaft at the surface of the planet, "That's why you feel the air, so…"
"We can contact our ship," Kanan finished for the Onderonian.
"Exactly," Saw said, agreeing with Kanan.
"Specter-1 to Ghost. Do you copy? Specter-2, come in," Kanan said from the Ghost's communications system.
"Specter-1, I read you," Hera said, answering her boyfriend with the Ghost's communications system, "Where have you been, Kanan? What's going on?"
"We found Saw Gerrera, but his team is gone," Kanan answered.
"Gone?" She repeated with confusion in her voice.
"Hera, listen to me. There are operational battle droids here. Some patrol the surface," Kanan added, "Better keep an eye out."
"Sabine and Zeb found a shield generator," Hera told him, "They're out there extracting the deflector core."
"You have to warn them," Kanan told her, "Gerrera says once the storm dies down, the droids will be coming."
"Looks like the storm's letting up," Zeb told Sabine as he and Sabine continued to extract the deflector core from the shield generator as he noticed that the sandstorm was slowly dying down.
"Specter-4, Specter-5. Get back to the Ghost immediately," Hera ordered Sabine and Zeb from their comlinks.
"Affirmative, Specter-2," Sabine replied, clicking her helmet's comlink after she placed one of her fingers over it, "We've got the deflector core, and we're-"
"Leave it if you have to," Hera told them from the Ghost's cockpit as she was using the ship's communications system, "There are battle droids in the area. I don't know how many."
"Battle droids?" Zeb repeated with disbelief and confusion in his voice as he and Sabine turned around before removing his gas mask from his mouth as he saw lumps of sand in the distance, "I just see a bunch of rocks."
"I'm not sure those are rocks," Sabine said as she walked towards one of the lumps of sand and kneeled down towards it as she moved her hand across the side of the lump of sand and saw bronze metal plating and realized that the lumps of sand were all hibernating Droidekas, "Destroyers."
"Oh, no," Zeb muttered before grabbing his bo-rifle and aimed it at one of the Droidekas, "We'll make short work of these tin cans."
"No. There's too many, Zeb," Hera said from the Ghost's cockpit, "If you blast one, you'll wake them all up."
"OK, what about the Ghost cannons?" Sabine asked from the Ghost's communications system.
"No good," Hera answered, "The sandstorm's clogged up the barrels."
"They're spread enough," Zeb said as he placed his bo-rifle back over his back, "I guess we can sneak past them on foot."
"No we can't just leave the deflector core," Sabine argued.
"Are you crazy?" Zeb said with disbelief in his voice, "Like Hera said, if we bump into one of those things, they'll all wake up."
"OK, OK. We'll take our time and we'll go carefully," Sabine suggested.
"Are you sure it's not too big to make it through?" He asked her as they walked to the back of the deflector core.
"Hey, you made it through," she reminded him as she grabbed the edge of her side of the back of the deflector core.
"Good point," he said, realizing that she had a point as he grabbed his side of the back of the deflector core before they began to move the deflector core past the Droidekas.
"All right guys. I'm calling it. Get back to the surface before these battle droids or anything wakes up," Hera told Kanan and everyone in the shaft from Kanan's comlink.
"Copy that, Hera," Kanan replied, using his comlink.
"Now wait a minute. We're not going anywhere," Saw told them, determined to find out who or what is controlling the droids.
"We need to help my sister and our friends," Satele told him.
"You want to help your sister and friends?" Saw said, repeating what she said, "Then find out who's controlling those droids."
"Satele, far side of the chasm, directly across from us," Kanan said as he felt a presence across from them on the other side of the chasm, "Do you see anything?"
"I'll try," she said as she flipped her helmet's macrobinocular viewplate's rangefinder down before turning to Chopper, "Chopper, light it up for the rest of us." As she said that, Chopper reactivated his built-in flashlight as Satele used her helmet's macrobinocular viewplate's rangefinder saw an insectoid-like species with brown skin and eyes before flipping her helmet's macrobinocular viewplate's rangefinder backup and pointed at the insectoid-like species, who tried covering their eyes to shield them from Chopper's built-in flashlight, "There! Look! Is that a Geonosian?"
"I knew it!" Saw said as he stepped forward.
"Still ugly," Rex replied as he answered the Mandalorian's question as the Geonosian across from them spoke in its native language as it held a remote in its hand.
"What's it holding?" Satele asked as the Geonosian clicked a button on the remote.
back on the surface, the hibernated Droideks began to wake up as they rose up from the ground, which Sabine and Zeb noticed as they stopped moving the deflector core as she placed one of her fingers over her helmet's comlink before clicking it, "Hera, the droids are waking up!"
"Kanan, we've got a problem," Hera said, contacting Kanan and the others with the Ghost's communications system, "The droids have been activated."
"The bug did it," Satele told Hera as she placed one of her fingers on her helmet's comlink.
"Sabine and Zeb are in trouble. Let's go!" Kanan said as the Geonosian retreated as it spoke in its native language.
"We're not leaving without that bug," Saw protested.
"He's not as important as my sister and our friends," Satele told the Onderonian.
"You'll never reach them in time," Saw told her, "We capture the bug, we turn off the droids, we save your sister and friends."
"What do you think, Hera?" Kanan asked Hera with his comlink.
"It's a good plan. Get the bug," Hera said, agreeing with Saw from the Ghost's cockpit.
"Satele, I'm sending you over on three," Kanan told Satele.
"No need, Kanan. I have my jetpack," she told him as she activated her jetpack's thrusters and flew over to the other side of the chasm before running into the tunnel she flew towards.
"Chopper, go with her," Kanan ordered Chopper, who activated his rocket booster as he flew towards the other side of the chasm where Satele flew towards before following her into the tunnel.
"Even with your help, I can't jump that far," Saw told Kanan.
"I've got a better idea," Kanan told him.
"You thinking what I'm thinking?" Zeb asked Sabine as he grabbed his bo-rifle from his back again as the Droidekas finished rising from the ground and turned towards them.
"For once, yes," Sabine answered as she grabbed her lightsaber from her armor's belt and swung it around for a second before entering the combat stance known as Ataru.
"What about the deflector core?" Zeb asked Sabine on the Ghost's communications system.
"Leave it," she answered.
Hera ran out of the Ghost's cockpit as Sabine said that and entered the hallway that contained everyone's room, holding her blaster pistol in her hand before rushing back into the cockpit and contacted them, "Zeb, Sabine, wait. Don't leave it. Use it!"
"How, exactly?" Zeb asked with confusion in his voice, "It's disconnected from the array."
"Wait, wait. She's right," Sabine said, realizing what Hera meant as she deactivated her lightsaber and clipped it back onto her armor's belt and kneeled down to the back of the deflector core and began clicking buttons on it, "I can tie it to the core's power supply and minimize the field."
"Minimize any faster?" Zeb asked her as the Droidekas activated their shields and began firing at them as the deflector core's shield powered on, absorbing the blaster bolts from the Droidekas' two repeating blasters cannons, "Huh. Not bad."
"Heh. Thanks," Sabine said, thanking his compliment, "But it won't hold forever."
"I need you to blast one of those bridges loose," Kanan told Rex and Saw.
"I think I know what you have in mind," Rex said as he and Saw pulled their blasters out and fired blaster bolts at one of the bridges above them, causing it to fall down before Kanan caught it with the Force as he extended his arms out towards it and rotated it around counterclockwise.
"Get across!" Kanan ordered Rex and Saw, who jumped onto the floating bridge with Saw jumping onto the bridge first, and as they walked across the bridge, the area they landed on broke off as they walked past it, the middle section soon broke off as both Saw and Rex neared the edge of the bridge with Rex nearly falling off the bridge before hopping into the edge of the bridge with Saw as Kanan soon pushed the bridge closer to the opposite side of the chasm as they hopped onto the other side of the chasm before he let go of the bridge, panting.
"What about Kanan?" Saw asked Rex when Kanan suddenly used the Force to leap across to the other side of the chasm and landed in front of them.
"Come on. We gotta get moving," Kanan told them as he rushed forward into the tunnel in front of them.
"I always forget they can do that," Saw admitted.
"Yeah, but he's no Skywalker," Rex told him.
"I heard that," Kanan told them from the tunnel in front of them as Rex and Saw ran into the tunnel ahead, following him.
"Down here. I think," Satele told Chopper as they wandered through one of the tunnels with her helmet's built-in flashlight on as Chopper had his built-in flashlight on as well as they ran ahead before stopping, "Chopper, any sign of him?" Chopper then grunted a response before turning his dome around and saw the Geonosian and grunted excitedly as the Geonosian began to flee as they began to chase him, "Go. Go!"
"This way," Saw said as he, Rex and Kanan stopped at a tunnel intersection before running down one of the tunnels of the tunnel intersection.
The Geonosian used his hands to run from Satele and Chopper as they continued to chase him through the tunnel's maze and went to jump the Geonosian, only to fail as the Geonosian evaded her.
"Let's split up," Satele suggested as she got back up on her feet and pointed to her right, "You go that way and cut him off." As she said that, Chopper rolled into the right tunnel, while Satele ran into the one on her left. As this happened, the Geonosian continued running before jumping up into the ceiling and began to run along the ceiling with Satele looking up with her helmet's built-in flashlight before losing sight of the Geonosian as she and Chopper bumped into one another, causing them to fall onto the ground before getting back up, "Oh! What?! Chopper! How did he get past you? Where did he go?"
Back on the planet's surface, the Droidekas continued to fire their two repeating blaster cannons at the shield where Sabine and Zeb were hiding behind as it began to falter.
"Not good. Not good!" Zeb said as he realized that the shield was beginning to falter.
Satele closed her eyes as she went to sense the Geonosian's presence with the Force before reopening her eyes as she leaping upwards as she sensed that the Geonosian was inside of a tunnel above them, surprising the Geonosian and yelped before she grabbed him, "Gotcha." The two of them then began fighting as she struggled to hold him down as he let go of the remote as it accidentally fell out of his hands and bounced on Chopper's dome for a second as it fell out of the hatch, "Chopper, grab the remote!" The Geonosian then kicked her backwards as she said that before he jumped down through the hatch and landed on Chopper, knocking him onto his back as before the Geonosian ran towards the remote for the droids.
"The shield's failing!" Sabine announced as the deflector core's shield began to dissolve.
As the Geonosian continued running towards his remote, it was destroyed by a blaster bolt, causing him to look up as he noticed that someone was shining a flashlight in his eyes.
As the remote was destroyed, two of the Droidekas on the planet's surface powered down as they fell to the ground on their sides, surprising Sabine and Zeb.
"Huh?" Zeb grunted as they saw the rest of the Droidekas power down and fall to their sides as well after their shields deactivated, "Ah. Mind if we don't do that again?"
The Geonosian saw Kanan, Rex and Saw walking towards him with both the Clone and Onderonian aiming their flashlights at him as Saw was aiming his blaster pistol at him as Satele jumped down from the hatch, cornering the Geonosian.
"It's over," she told the Geonosian.
"That's right. We got you," Saw told the Onderonian as he placed his wrist at the Geonosian's neck as he shined his flashlight into his eyes, "And now you're gonna tell us what's been going on here." What were you building for the Empire?!" As Saw began to interrogate the Geonosian, he spoke in his native language as he began to get terrified from Saw.
