"So what's going on with you and Barnes?" Tony asks as they pull onto the highway. Tessa had the next two days off and Tony had invited her up to the cabin, he said it was because Morgan missed her but she was starting to wonder if it was really to harass her about her relationship with Bucky.

"What do you mean Tony?" she asked feigning innocence.

"Oh come on Tess. The guy's almost always walking you to and from work. When he takes you home he stays for hours and Renata told me that there are times that she's seen you kissing him."

"On the cheek! She had this fantasy in her head that Bucky and I are going to get together so she's going to make it sound more romantic than it is. He's just doing me a favor, I'm sure as soon as we're sure that Travis is long gone I'll barely ever see him. He's just being nice."

"Uh-huh. And then nice turns into really nice and then that turns into you calling me at two in the morning telling me that he got you pregnant and then I have to threaten to blast his head off if he doesn't make an honest woman out of you." He said with a nod.

"Oh. My. God. We are not having sex!"

"Not yet. And do you think that I'd believe that you'd tell me if you were?"

"Would you be mad at me if I was?"

"Are you?"

"No."

"Well, then I'm not mad at you."

"Would you be though?" Tony slowly turned to look at her, he could see a look of concern on her face.

"Tessa you're 32 years old. It doesn't matter what I say it's your life now."

"But it does matter Tony."

"Why does it matter?" he asked.

"Because you're my godfather. And you've done so much for me, you made sure I had someone there for father's day and when you got with Pepper you made sure I had someone there for mother's day. You helped me pick out my college and encouraged me to take up History. Whenever I needed a shoulder to cry on you were there and I know you don't want to admit it but I swear that I heard you mumbling 'It's okay. Papa's here.' when I was crying at your bedside after you had snapped and we didn't know if you were going to make it or not."

"Yeah, we're never going to go there." Tony said holding a finger up as he turned onto their exit. "So since we got that out of the way if I found out that you were having sex with Bucky I wouldn't be mad," he put a finger up when he saw her opening her mouth "I know you're hung up on the fact that he killed my parents but he didn't willingly do that. I've had years to think it over and both Steve and I were in the wrong. Him for not telling me and myself for not stopping to think about the fact that he wasn't in control of himself. I already told him that there wasn't anything to apologize for so he didn't need to put me in that stupid amends list." Tony waved his hand and rolled his eyes at that part.

"So even you think that it's stupid." Tessa said as they passed by the last town before they got to the road that would eventually lead them to Tony's cabin.

"It is! What does he need to apologize for? Find the remaining members of Hydra and make them go around and right all these wrongs and apologize to the victim's families. I'm pretty sure like 99% of them are locked up somewhere so it shouldn't be that hard to find them. So what's he doing now anyway?"

"I'm not sure. I know he was working on his list. Let me see if he answers his phone." She said before pulling her phone out and calling Bucky.

"Hey, Tessa." Bucky said as he answered the phone with one hand while he dangled the man over the edge of the building with the other.

"Hey Bucky what are you up to?" she asked.

"Oh, you know. Just working on my amends list." He said as he retightened his hold. The man let out a scream as he almost fell over the edge when he loosened his grip.

"What was that?" Tessa asked and Bucky laughed.

"Oh, nothing. The guy's just being difficult." He said as he gave the man a shake.

"James you can't do anything illegal." Tessa said sounding annoyed.

"I'm not. At least I'm pretty sure it's not." He said while glancing over the edge.

"James."

"Alright. Alright. The cops should be on their way anyway." He pulled the man back up and forced him to sit down instead. As if on cue he could hear sirens off in the distance. "I got to go. Have to take this guy down to the police and he's going to tell them everything he's done on HYDRA's behalf. Aren't you?" he asked as he picked the man up again. The man let out a whimper before he nodded his head yes quickly. "I'll talk to you later Tess okay? Have fun at the cabin." He said before hanging up.

Tessa let out a sigh "He's going to get himself in so much trouble." She muttered as she put her phone away.

"What?" Tony asked as they got closer to the cabin.

"Okay so remember when I said that there were rules that he had to follow as part of his pardon?"

"Yeah, I remember."

"Well, one of the rules is that he can't do anything illegal. The guy he was dealing with was screaming so it sounds to me like he was doing something illegal." She said with a huff.

"The guy's HYDRA I doubt that they're going to believe anything he says to them that doesn't implicate him. I'm sure he'll be fine." Tony said as they pulled up to the cabin. As soon as he turned the car off Morgan came running out of the cabin.

"Aunt Tessa!" she squealed as she ran towards her open arms.

"There she is. There's my favorite Stark." Tessa said as she picked her up and the two of them giggled as they spun around.

"Your favorite Stark? Well, then who's your second favorite?" Tony asked as he got out of the car as well.

"Pepper of course." Tony's jaw dropped as Pepper, Morgan, and Tessa all laughed before walking into the cabin. Tony let out a huff and followed them in with Tessa's bag slung over his shoulder.
