On an Imperial Light cruiser above Lothal, in Kallus' personal quarters, alarms began blaring, waking the ISB/Fulcrum agent up as he walked to his quarter's doorway and opened the door as a stormtrooper stopped towards him. "Battle stations, sir!" Kallus closed the door as he walked to his quarter's sink and stared at himself in the sink's mirror as he turned on the sink's water.
"Lieutenant Lyste, are we under attack?" Kallus asked as he entered the Imperial Light Cruiser's bridge with two stormtroopers, who stood on both sides of the entrance.
"No, and I intend to keep it that way," Lyste answered as they stared out the bridge's viewport as a Star Commuter 200 shuttle flew outside the ship, "This stolen shuttle reportedly blasted its way out of the Lothal spaceport. I'm moving to intercept. Prepare tractor beam."
TIE fighters fired upon the shuttle with their laser cannons as they chased the shuttle and damaged its right fin.
"We have tractor lock," one of the Imperial officers in front of Lyste and Kallus reported.
"I'll head up the boarding party," Kallus stated as he left the bridge.
Kallus entered the Imperial Light Cruiser's airlock with his arms behind his back as there were two stormtroopers on their knees, aiming their E-11 blaster rifles at the airlock as a stormtrooper along with a stormtrooper commander with a white pauldron dragged someone wearing bounty hunter armor colored gold and silver that had straps over both sides of their chest, a helmet over their head that had a stylized expression of a Loth-cat painted on it and stuncuffs over their wrists with their arms over their back as they heard a feminine grunt coming from the bounty hunter.
"Let me go! You're making a mistake!" The bounty hunter told them.
"Remove her helmet," Kallus ordered, which one of the stormtroopers that was dragging the bounty hunter from her shuttle did just that to reveal that the bounty hunter was the Mandalorian rebel, Satele Wren, who had left Krownest and rejoined Phoenix Squadron as well as having her hair dyed red and silver.
"What're you looking at, Imperial scum?!" Satele yelled at Kallus as she saw him staring at her.
"Bring her to the detention cells," Kallus ordered as he walked away.
"Hey, be careful with those," Satele told the stormtrooper commander as he took a pair of WESTAR-34s from her blaster holsters before pushing her forward as they began to take her to the Light Cruiser's detention cells.
"Commander, I found two more," a stormtrooper said, walking through the airlock from the shuttle with AP-5 and Chopper, who was painted in an Imperial color scheme.
"Droids?" The stormtrooper commander said with confusion in his voice as he turned around and saw AP-5 and Chopper.
"We were aboard the shuttle when it was stolen," AP-5 explained to him.
"Well, stay here and wait for processing," he told them.
"Oh, we can do that. We can do that just fine," AP-5 said as Chopper grunted quietly.
Kallus accompanied the stormtroopers as they escorted Satele to the detention cells with one of the stormtroopers pushing her into one of the cells and threw her bounty hunter helmet into the cell as well.
"Leave us," Kallus told the stormtroopers, "I'll interrogate her myself." Kallus inserted his code cylinder into the port of Satele's cell, shutting off the cell's security cameras. He entered the cell as the door closed behind him, "Don't you realize how dangerous it is for you to be here? If anyone recognizes you…"
"They won't," she reassured him as he unlocked her stuncuffs, "You know how big the Empire is. Most troopers don't even know what me and my sister look like now."
"I hope that's true for both our sakes. If they discover you here, I'll be executed for treason!" Kallus told her.
"You might be anyway," she chuckled, "We think the Empire was monitoring your last Fulcrum transmission."
"So, you got captured to warn me?" Kallus asked her.
"Nope. To get you out of here," she told him.
"Well, I guess I have no choice now," Kallus said with anger in his voice.
"Look, I'm not happy about it, either," she told him as she walked around him, "For all I know, you're playing a long game to set us up."
"I could say the same to you as last I heard you were with your family and clan on Krownest," he countered back at her, "I suppose for now, we'll just have to trust… each other. But why are you back with your rebel fleet anyway?"
"A few weeks after Kanan and Chopper left me and Sabine on Krownest, me, Sabine, our Brother, Tristan and my boyfriend, who I met a few days after I decided to stay with my sister on Krownest were on Mandalore, freeing the statue of one of our ancestors and founder of our clan's house, Tarre Vizsla and later that night, I had a Force vision of Thrawn ambushing and attacking our rebel base," Satele explained, "So I packed my things and rejoined Phoenix Squadron, but I am still helping my clan via holo-communicator."
"Open this door!" They suddenly heard Lyste's voice call out from outside the cell as Satele grabbed Kallus' arm to punch her in the cheek to maintain his cover as Fulcrum as she fell on her butt in front of the steps as the door slid open.
"Stop!" She cried out to the ISB/Fulcrum agent, "I'll tell you anything!"
"A confession already?" Lyste said with surprise, "You are good. But it will have to wait. Admiral Thrawn's fleet's just arrived, and he has summoned us aboard his ship." He then turned to one of the stormtroopers accompanying him, "Bring the prisoner."
"The prisoner?" Kallus asked with confusion.
"To show the Grand Admiral how effective I am in dealing with the rebel threat," Lyste explained.
"She's a bounty hunter, not a rebel," Kallus stated.
"She came from Lothal on a shuttle. That's enough," Lyste explained as the stormtrooper escorted the Mandalorian out of her cell after placing her stuncuffs back on her wrists with Kallus and Lyste following as they left her bounty hunter helmet on the cell's floor.
"Excuse me," AP-5 told Lyste, the stormtrooper escorting Satele and Kallus as they approached him, Chopper and the stormtroopers guarding the airlock door as they walked towards them in the airlock.
"I did not request any droids to accompany us," Lyste stated.
"My counterpart has a recording of the shuttle theft. Protocol is for us to provide it as testimony against the thief," AP-5 explained.
"Very well," Lyste relented as he walked through the airlock's door with Kallus, the stormtrooper escorting Satele and the droids to an Imperial shuttle before it departed from the Light Cruiser's docking port as its wings flipped downwards.
"I haven't been summoned by ranking officers since that incident with the princess from Alderaan," Lyste recalled as he sat in the shuttle's cockpit with Kallus, "Oh, that was not a pleasant meeting. I shall endeavor to make a better impression this time."
"I'm sure you will, Lieutenant," Kallus assured him.
"Shuttle TYA77, transmit clearance codes," a masculine voice said over the shuttle's communications system.
"Copy, Chimaera, transmitting codes now," one of the shuttle's pilot's said as the shuttle flew into the Star Destroyer's hangar before landing in the hangar.
"A rebel prisoner for the Grand Admiral," Lyste informed a stormtrooper commander with an orange pauldron that had a Chimaera insignia embedded on the pauldron that was standing by the side of the ship a few feet away from the ramp after it lowered as Lyste, Kallus and the stormtrooper escorting Satele walked down the ramp.
"Take her to detention block B-7," the stormtrooper commander said as he began to escort her along with another stormtrooper commander that had the same insignia on their pauldron as the stormtrooper that was escorting Satele walked back up the ramp as Kallus and Lyste walked away.
"We need to update our status to the retrieval team," AP-5 told Chopper as they walked down the shuttle with Chopper grunting a response as a TIE fighter landed in the hangar with the TIE fighter's hatch opening up as the pilot hopped out of the TIE fighter and approached them.
"You guys about to contact the retrieval team," the TIE pilot asked them as they removed their helmet and placed it under their arm, revealing themselves to be Wedge.
"About to, Lieutenant Antilles," AP-5 answered.
"You're where?" Kanan said with disbelief as he and Rex wore stormtrooper armor as they flew a stolen Imperial shuttle through Hyperspace as Chopper grunted a response through the Imperial shuttle's communications system.
"Grand Admiral Thrawn's Star Destroyer?" Rex repeated with confusion, "What in blazes are you three doing there?"
"They transferred Satele here after she got captured," Wedge explained.
"Well, that really changes the plan," Rex mused as he placed his hand near his chin, "Our clearance codes are for the light cruiser, not Thrawn's Star Destroyer."
"Chop, you got to get us those clearance codes," Kanan told Chopper, who grunted a response, "Wedge, go to the detention cells and free Satele."
"Yes, Kanan," Wedge responded before he went to the detention cells of the Chimaera to free Satele.
"Clearance codes?" AP-5 repeated Chopper as the astromech grunted and placed his scomp link into an astromech port in the hangar as Wedge went to the detention cells to free Satele, "We can't just download those from any terminal." This statement caused Chopper to make a sound that sounded like a grunt that sounded like a sigh as he took his scomp link out of the astromech port as they walked away from the astromech port, "We'll have to find an officer's port."
"Those were sector command staff," Lyste observed as he and Kallus watched two stormtrooper commanders with orange pauldrons escort three Imperial officers out of the area with those officers being Slavin, Titus and Brunson, "What are they doing here?"
"I can only guess," Kallus answered as he began to suspect that Satele was right about the Empire monitoring his last Fulcrum transmission.
They soon approached the door that leads to Thrawn's office where a stormtrooper commander with a black pauldron was standing in front of, who was on guard duty and extended his hand in front of them to stop Kallus and Lyste, "Your code cylinders."
"Now, see here, I am a lieutenant!" Lyste protested.
"Understood, sir," the stormtrooper commander said before extending his arm out again, "Your cylinders?"
"Thrawn is known for being thorough," Kallus stated as he handed his code cylinder to the stormtrooper commander before Lyste reluctantly did the same with his. The stormtrooper commander then placed both code cylinders into the panel next to the door before the panel beeped with a confirmation sound.
"You're clear to proceed, Lieutenant," the stormtrooper commander said as he handed them back their code cylinders as he pressed the button on the panel with his fist, causing the door to slide open.
As Lyste and Kallus entered the office, they heard Thrawn grunting as they saw the Chiss Grand Admiral out of his Grand Admiral uniform, wearing a tank top and sweatpants in a dojo, battling two DT-series sentry droids with a metal rod and knocked one of them to the floor before turning to the other DT-series sentry droid, which grabbed him by the wrist before it grabbed the metal rod and tossed it aside as he began to fight both DT-series sentry droids in hand-to-hand combat as the one he knocked to the ground got back on its feet before he kicked the one in front of him as he noticed Lyste and Kallus watching him and stopped fighting, "Override code: Rukh."
The door to Thrawn's training dojo sealed shut in front of Kallus and Lyste as both DT-series sentry droids powered down as the door to Thrawn's office opened as they Saw Admiral Konstantine, who had his arms behind his back.
"He is ready for us," Konstantine told them as Kallus and Lyste exchanged a look for a second before they walked into Thrawn's office where they saw an elderly man with light skin, blue eyes and white hair, wearing the uniform of an ISB officer, who turned around from Thrawn's desk.
"Colonel Yularen," Kallus said, greeting the ISB officer as Yularen began to approach him, "I don't know if you remember me from the academy…"
"Of course, young Agent Kallus," Yularen said as he held his hand out to shake Kallus' hand as they shook each other's hands, "I keep tabs on all my star pupils."
"What brings you to Lothal?" Kallus asked him.
"We are in need of his expertise," they heard Thrawn answer before turning around as they saw him enter the room, wearing his Grand Admiral uniform as the door slid shut behind him, "Codename 'Fulcrum.' And perhaps today, we're going to learn their true identity." As Thrawn said this, Kallus realized that Satele was right as Thrawn walked up to the back of his desk with his arms behind his back as Lyste and Konstantine sat down in the chairs in front of the desk as Kallus and Yularen stood up with the colonel having his arms crossed, "A traitor in our ranks is feeding the rebels information. That is the only logical explanation for their success. And our failure."
"I will do everything in my power to find this spy, Grand Admiral," Lyste said as he stood up from his chair.
"Thank you for your enthusiasm, Lieutenant,"Thrawn told him as he turned back around towards him and the others, "However, few are above suspicion. ISB Colonel Yularen will question each of you."
"In the meantime, be vigilant. Watch your subordinates closely, and your peers even closer," Yularen added as he placed his hand over Lyste's right shoulder before Lyste sat back down.
"Our spy must be unmasked quickly, as I'm on the verge of locating the rebel base in this sector," Thrawn said as he pulled up a projection of the Star Map that he has been using to located the base of Phoenix Squadron, "I've narrowed it down to these worlds."
"From among thousands," Konstantine observed that multiple of the planets within the Star Map were colored red, "How?"
"An analysis of rebel Hyperspace routes, their attacks on Imperial ships and facilities, and rather importantly, proximity to Lothal," Thrawn explained as he turned the Star Map projection off, "You're dismissed."
"Agent Kallus, may I speak to you in private?" Yularen asked the ISB/Fulcrum agent as they, along with Lyste and Konstantine, left Thrawn's office with the door sliding shut behind them.
"Certainly, Colonel," Kallus answered before turning to Lyste, "Wait for me outside, Lieutenant."
"Will do, Agent," Lyste responded as he and Konstantine walked out of the corridor to Thrawn's office.
"What is it that you want to speak to me privately about, Colonel?" Kallus asked Yularen.
"I know that you're Fulcrum," Yularen told him, causing Kallus to widen his eyes in fear, "Don't worry, Agent Kallus, I won't tell the Grand Admiral."
"But why wouldn't you tell him and turn me in?" Kallus asked him with confusion.
"Because over the last few years, I've been slowly turning against the Empire's ideals over what we've done in the past few years," Yularen explained, "I'll secretly help you."
"Thank you, Colonel," Kallus told him.
"No problem, Agent Kallus," Yularen responded before Kallus walked out of the corridor to rejoin Lyste, while Yularen walked back into Thrawn's office.
"It is said no traitor escapes the eye of Yularen for long," Lyste told Kallus as they walked together through the corridors outside the corridor that leads to Thrawn's office.
"I guess we'll see," Kallus said as Governor Pryce approached them from the corridor intersection that they were walking past.
"Kallus. I saw a report that a shuttle thief from Lothal was prevented," Pryce told them as they stopped walking.
"Actually, Lieutenant Lyste was responsible for that," Kallus corrected her as he turned to Lyste as he put his hand over his left shoulder before putting his hand over his back.
"Really?" Pryce said with disbelief, "Well, that deserves commendation."
"Thank you, Governor," Lyste said as she walked past them.
"Step carefully. ISB is watching her. You should, too," Kallus warned Lyste as he placed both of his hands over Lyste's shoulders as they continued walking as he grabbed Lyste's code cylinder with his left hand as he switched their code cylinders.
"What? Why?" Lyste asked him with confusion, "You don't mean Pryce is the rebel spy? That's why she wasn't in the meeting!"
"Thrawn has no proof yet, but I'm sure he'd be grateful if you kept an eye on her," Kallus suggested.
"He can count on me," Lyste said as he began to follow Pryce, while Kallus smirked as he looked at Lyste's code cylinder as he held it in his hand before clenching his hand as he headed towards detention block B-7.
"Any progress?" Pryce asked as she entered Thrawn's office, where he was holding and admiring Hera's kalikori, while Yularen was sitting in a chair in front of the desk with a datapad in his hand.
"I'm certain our spy was present at our interviews," Thrawn answered, "Now, to see if they take our bait and warn the rebels."
"I may have something," Yularen told them, "A coded rebel message was beamed from this ship right after an off-ship prisoner was transferred to your detention block, B-7."
"Well, then… Shall we visit this mysterious prisoner?" Thrawn asked them.
"No, we should get the codes before we release Wren," AP-5 told Chopper and Wedge as the three of them stood in front of Satele's cell in detention block B-7 with Wedge, who was now wearing an Imperial officer's uniform with a Lieutenant with a Lieutenant's rank plaque as Kallus approached them and inserted Lyste's code cylinder into the port of Satele's cell as Chopper grunted at him, powering down the cameras within her cell.
"This way," Kallus said as he walked into Satele's cell and saw that she was missing and knew she was hiding like what she did after they first met and saw her as he looked up at the ceiling, "Please stop that."
"What? It worked before," she told him as she jumped down from the ceiling, "Now let's get out of here."
"None of us will be leaving without the clearance codes to this ship," AP-5 stated as he, Chopper and Wedge stood in the doorway as Kallus began to remove Satele's stuncuffs.
"I hadn't thought of that," Satele grunted as Kallus finished removing Satele's stuncuffs.
"I hadn't thought of that either," Wedge told AP-5, "My job was to free Satele , but didn't know how to without an Imperial code cylinder, which I don't possess."
"And I'm afraid there's another complication," Kallus stated, "I've just learned that Thrawn is very close to locating your base. You both have to tell me where it is."
"I don't think we should tell you right now," Satele told him.
"She's right," Wedge said, agreeing with Satele, "You'll find out when we get there."
"Not if Thrawn destroys it first," Kallus argued, "I need to know its location so I can remove it from his database."
"If it's even on his list," Satele remarked.
"Yeah, how do we even know if it's on his list?" Wedge said, agreeing with the Mandalorian.
"If I may…"AP-5 interjected, "We can accomplish both of our goals by infiltrating Grand Admiral Thrawn's office. Agent Kallus can keep our base hidden and we can gain the clearance codes we so desperately need."
"Okay, we'll do it," Satele relented, "But how will we know if Thrawn is in his office?"
"Lieutenant Lyste, where are you?" Kallus asked as he took his comlink out.
"Following Pryce," Lyste answered, "She's headed to the detention cells with Admiral Thrawn and Colonel Yularen."
"Stay on her. But remember, Lieutenant, don't let them see you," Kallus responded as he placed his comlink back in his pocket as he left the cell with Satele, Wedge and the two droids, "We'll have to get you a uniform, Satele."
"Surveillance has been deactivated," Thrawn observed as he, Pryce and Yularen walked down the corridors to detention block B-7 with his arms behind his back.
"And where are the guards?" Pryce noted as they walked towards the cell that held Satele as Yularen inserted his code cylinder into the port next to the cell.
"And where is the prisoner?" Thrawn asked as the door to the cell slid upwards as they saw that there was no prisoner in the cell.
"The code records show your Lieutenant Lyste was the last person to access this cell," Yularen stated as he realized what Kallus' plan was.
"I bet you liked being a bounty hunter better, Satele," Wedge told Satele as he repositioned his officer's cap, while Satele was disguised as a scout trooper as they were walking down a corridor with Kallus, AP-5 and Chopper as the two droids were walking behind Satele, Wedge and Kallus.
"You're right Wedge," Satele said, agreeing with Wedge, "I did like being a bounty hunter better."
"We all make sacrifices, Satele," Kallus told the Mandalorian.
"Okay. AP-5, stand guard here and let us know if anyone's coming," Satele told AP-5 as she, Wedge, Kallus and Chopper walked down the corridor to Thrawn's office.
"Oh, good, the thankless job," AP-5 muttered.
"See that trooper, Satele?" Kallus asked Satele as they saw the stormtrooper commander that was guarding the door that leads to Thrawn's office before he handed Lyste's code cylinder to Wedge, "Convince him that Wedge is Lieutenant Lyste and you are his bodyguard. Get him to open the door with it."
"He's Lieutenant Lyste, I'm his bodyguard. Admiral Thrawn told you to expect us," Satele said, putting on an Imperial accent as she flipped her scout trooper helmet's visor up and waved her hand in front of him, using a Jedi Mind Trick on the stormtrooper commander.
"Lieutenant Lyste. Thrawn told me to expect you and your bodyguard," the stormtrooper commander told them as he repeated what Satele said as Wedge handed him Lyste's code cylinder and inserted it into the port next to the door before the panel beeped with a confirmation sound before handing it back to him as Wedge, Satele, Kallus and Wedge walked through the door as it slid open before sliding back shut as Satele flipped her scout trooper helmet's visor back down.
As they entered Thrawn's office, Satele saw the canvas that Thrawn had that was made by Sabine that had their starbird symbol on it that was painted orange with a Loth-cat painted at the bottom of the starbird with a no stormtrooper symbol painted at the top right corner of the canvas before she saw Hera's Kalikori on a table next to her.
"Hey, that's Hera's…" Satele began to say as she went to grab Hera's Kalikori.
"We're not here to steal art, Satele," Kallus reminded her as he stopped her as Chopper grunted from Thrawn's desk with Wedge standing next to him.
"Chopper just stole the codes," Wedge reported.
"Fine, Chop, transmit the codes to Kanan," Satele ordered the astromech.
"Are you crazy? They'll intercept the transmission!" Kallus stated with disbelief.
"Yeah, that a secret code was transmitted from Thrawn's office," Satele explained.
"Good point, Satele," Kallus said as he realized that she was right.
"Chop, what's going on?" Kanan asked Chopper with the stolen Imperial shuttle's communications system as he got a transmission from him before Chopper grunted a response as Kanan turned to Rex, "The codes are coming through now."
"Good job," Rex complimented, "Tell them to get to the hangar. Hurry!"
"You were right. Thrawn is close to finding our base," Satele said as she saw on Thrawn's Star Map of planets that was being projected around the Chiss Grand Admiral's desk.
"Very close," Wedge added, agreeing with the Mandalorian.
"Droid, erase that planet and add another as a decoy," Kallus ordered Chopper, who grunted a response as he removed Atollon from the Star Map and replaced it with another before he spun his dome around for a second.
"Unfortunate news. Grand Admiral Thrawn is headed for his office," AP-5 suddenly announced on Kallus' comlink.
"What?!" Satele said with surprise, "Try to stall him!"
"Oh, wait, I can't. He's at the door," AP-5 responded.
"I'll handle it," Kallus told Satele and Wedge.
"Lieutenant Lyste and his bodyguard are inside, sir," the stormtrooper commander that was guarding the door that leads to Thrawn's officer told the Grand Admiral as he approached the stormtrooper commander with another stormtrooper commander that had a black pauldron.
"Ready your weapon and follow me," Thrawn ordered the stormtrooper commander that was guarding the door that leads to his office as the stormtrooper commander opened the door with the keypad above the port next to the door, causing the door to slide open before Thrawn began to walk through the doorway.
"Chopper, shut off the holo map," Satele ordered Chopper, who immediately grunted as he switched off the holographic Star Map before calling out to the ISB/Fulcrum Agent, "Come on! Kallus, let's…" She then noticed that he was missing, "Where'd he go? Hide!" She ran behind the canvas with Wedge and Chopper hiding with her.
Thrawn and the two stormtroopers then walked into the office with the door sliding open as Kallus hid behind the door to Thrawn's dojo as the Chiss Grand Admiral walked over to his Star Map projector and turned it on as he stared at it as he placed his left hand over his chin and his and his other hand over his elbow.
Kallus walked over to one of Thrawn's DT-series sentry droids within the Grand Admiral's dojo and began to tamper with it.
"Is everything all right, sir?" One of the stormtrooper commanders asked Thrawn as the Grand Admiral turned the Star Map projector back off.
"Apparently so. Yes," Thrawn answered as he turned around when suddenly Thrawn's DT-series sentry droids walked through the door of Thrawn's office and began to attack the stormtrooper commanders as one of them picked up one of the stormtrooper commanders before throwing them at the wall, dropping their E-11 blaster rifle as the other DT-series sentry droid slammed its hand on the other stormtrooper in the helmet, knocking them to the ground, dropping their E-11 blaster rifle as well before they began to approach Thrawn, "Override code: Rukh." The sentry droids didn't power down as Thrawn said the code phrase to power them down and went to attack him, only for Thrawn to leap behind his desk and pull his blaster pistol out from his tunic's holster and began to fire upon them with it before the sentry droids surrounded him as they took his blaster pistol away from him and tossed it aside before he grabbed the arm of one of the droids after evading their attacks, only to be kicked towards the canvas where Satele, Wedge and Chopper were hiding behind before getting back up as he ran back towards the sentry droids as he continued to evade their strikes.
"Come on, while he's distracted," Satele whispered to Wedge and Chopper as she saw Thrawn battling his own droids and Wedge quickly ran out of the room followed by Satele and Chopper.
"Lyste!" Thrawn yelled as he saw Wedge and Satele run out of the room, thinking Wedge was Lyste as he continued to evade his sentry droids' attacks.
"Assassin droids?" Satele and Wedge both said with surprise as they along with Chopper reached Kallus, who was standing at the edge of the corridor that contains Thrawn's office.
"Your welcome," Kallus told them as he ran out the corridor that contains Thrawn's office to the corridor outside the corridor that leads to Thrawn's office.
"Nice work," Satele complimented as she, Wedge and Chopper followed him as they soon ran past AP-5, "Come on, we're getting out of here."
Thrawn slid behind his desk again as his sentry droids continued to attack him before one of them punched the other sentry droid in the center of its torso by accident, damaging it as Thrawn rushed to one of the stormtrooper commanders and grabbed their E-11 blaster rifle and began firing at one of the droids in the torso with it, powering the droid off before turning around and fired it at the other sentry droid, damaging it as it powered off as well, "Colonel, listen to me carefully…" Thrawn said as he took out his comlink.
"Well, here goes nothing," Rex said as the stolen Imperial shuttle that he and Kanan were piloting jumped out of hyperspace and saw three Star Destroyers above Lothal, "Whoa."
"Hey, gramps, you want to fill me in?" Kanan asked Rex.
"Lots of ships," Rex answered.
"How many?" Kanan asked the clone.
"Don't worry about it," Rex assured the blind Jedi Knight, "Just transmit the codes. Fast."
"Shuttle TY992, you are cleared to land," an Imperial standing inside one of the Chimaera's crew pits inside the Bridge said with Yularen standing above him on the deck.
"Get me Governor Pryce," Yularen ordered, so the Empire wouldn't suspect him as a rebel sympathizer.
The stolen Imperial shuttle soon landed in the Chimaera's hangar as its wings flipped back up as Kanan and Rex stood in the stolen Imperial shuttle's troop bay as they placed their stormtrooper helmets on as the shuttle's ramp lowered.
"Comfortable?" Kanan asked Rex.
"I thought I lost a little weight," Rex answered.
Satele, Wedge, Kallus, Chopper and AP-5 ran through a corridor to the hangar bay as the door to the hangar bay opened, "There's our ride," Satele said as they saw the stolen Imperial shuttle.
"And there's Governor Pryce," Kallus said as he saw Pryce in the hangar bay as she walked towards the disguised Kanan and Rex with a stormtrooper commander with an orange pauldron by her side.
"Troopers, stand down and remove your helmets," Pryce ordered the disguised Kanan and Rex, "I'm placing you under arrest."
"There must be some kind of mistake, sir," Kanan said before waving his hand in front of her to use a Jedi Mind Trick on her, "I'm sure we can…"
"Shoot him," Pryce ordered as she realized that he was a Jedi before the stormtrooper commander fired a stun blast at Kanan with their E-11 blaster rifle, stunning him as he fell unconscious, causing Rex to begin firing his E-11 blaster rifle at the stormtrooper commander before Pryce ran towards him and kicked the E-11 blaster rifle away from the clone before she kneeled him in the chest.
"I don't want to hurt you, lady," Rex told her as he rushed towards her.
"Don't worry, you won't," Pryce assured him as they began to fight in hand-to-hand combat.
"She is the traitor!" Lyste said, thinking that she was fighting real stormtroopers as he hid behind a ladder.
"Chopper, seal the doors," Satele ordered Chopper as she, Wedge, Kallus, Chopper and AP-5 stood in the hangar bay before Chopper plugged his scomp link into the astromech port next to the door, which then sealed shut.
Yularen was standing on a catwalk above and smirked as Pryce and Rex continued to fight in hand-to-hand combat before Rex rushed at her, knocking the governor to the ground before she saw an E-11 blaster rifle next to her and picked it up before aiming it at Rex as he went to punch her as Kanan regained consciousness, while Lyse fired a stun blast at Pryce with his blaster pistol, stunning her as she fell unconscious on the ground.
"I've got her! She's the traitor!" Lyste said as Kanan and Rex got up and began to follow Satele and Wedge, Chopper and AP-5 up the shuttle's ramp before Lyste turned to Kanan and Rex, "Trooper, are you all right? Trooper?"
"Bad choice," Satele told Lyste, saluting him as she flipped her scout trooper helmet's visor back up.
"You!" Lyste muttered as he recognized Satele from earlier, "You're the shuttle thief who…" he was then interrupted as Kallus clobbered him to the ground.
"Come on, we've got to go," Rex told Kallus as the ISB/Fulcrum Agent placed Lyste's code cylinder back in the chest pocket of Lyste's uniform as he took his own code cylinder back from the chest pocket of lyste's uniform.
"Kallus, come on," Satele urged the ISB/Fulcrum Agent as Kallus stood up.
"Yeah, come on, Kallus, you need to come with us," Wedge said, agreeing with Satele.
"There's been a change of plans now that I've captured 'Fulcrum'," Kallus told them as the shuttle's ramp began to raise as they realized that he was going to frame Lyste for being Fulcrum, "I can do more good here."
The sealed door then blew open as Yularen and a squad of stormtrooper commanders with orange pauldrons ran through the blast door as the stolen Imperial shuttle began to take off with Kallus shooting at it in order to maintain his over as Fulcrum as the stolen Imperial shuttle flipped its wings downwards as it flew out of the Chimaera.
"Traitor! You're the rebel spy!" Kallus yelled at Lyste as he pulled him up to his feet before calling out to the stormtrooper commanders, "Troopers!"
"What?" Lyste gasped in confusion.
"Seize him!" Kallus ordered the stormtrooper commanders.
"What are you talking about?" Lyste asked Kallus with confusion.
"Take him away," Yularen ordered the stormtrooper commanders.
"No. Wait!" Lyste protested as the stormtrooper commanders began to take him away, "I'm not the spy, Governor Pryce is!"
"It seems you stopped our 'spy' from escaping, Agent Kallus," Yularen told Kallus, pretending not to think that Kallus is the actual spy so Kallus could maintain his cover with his arms behind his back as one of the stormtrooper commanders helped Pryce up as she regained consciousness.
"Tell them, Kallus! It's her! She's the one! Kallus!" Lyste went on as the stormtrooper commanders continued to take him away.
"Lyste's code cylinder confirms our suspicions," Yularen said as he sat in his chair in front of Thrawn's desk in the Grand Admiral's office, holding Lyste's code cylinder before placing it on Thrawn's desk as the Grand Admiral was sitting at his desk, "He used it to override security, release the prisoner and contact the rebels."
"I have my own proof of Lyste's treachery," Pryce added as she rubbed her left shoulder as she turned to Kallus, who stood behind Yularen as she sat in the chair next to Yularen, "Thank you for your brave actions, Agent Kallus."
"Well done," Konstantine said, congratulating Kallus.
"Unfortunately, not in time to stop him from an assasination attempt on the Admiral," Kallus added before turning to Thrawn, "My apologies, sir."
"None required. He did not succeed. The Empire will make a note of your service, Agent Kallus," Thrawn assured him, "You may go."
"Thank you, Grand Admiral," Kallus told him as Pryce stood up from her chair before he, Konstantine and Pryce left the room.
"Things have fallen into place a little too perfectly for my liking. And I don't think Lieutenant Lyste is capable of what you've accused him of," Yularen admitted, pretending to not know who the real rebel spy was as he stood up as Thrawn did the same and walked around his desk towards him.
"I agree," Thrawn said, agreeing with him when the door suddenly opened back up with a stormtrooper commander with a black pauldron entering the room holding Satele's bounty hunter helmet.
"Sir, the prisoner's effects have arrived, as you requested," the stormtrooper commander told Thrawn as he placed Satele's bounty hunter helmet on Thrawn's desk before leaving the room.
"Colonel Yularen, what do you think of this design?" Thrawn asked Yularen as he placed his hand over the top of the bounty hunter helmet.
"A beast of some kind," Yularen answered.
"A stylized expression of a Loth-cat, a ubiquitous of Lothal," Thrawn explained as he picked up the helmet for a second before putting it back down as he walked away from his desk with his hands behind his back, "And rendered by a familiar artist." He then stared at one of Satele's Mythosaur paintings, "The use of this specific color, the angle of the line, this is the work of the rebel, Mandalorian Jedi and our escaped prisoner, Satele Wren. I believe this helmet belonged to her before we captured her."
"Wren?" Yularen repeated in disbelief, pretending to be surprised, "If Satele Wren was the shuttle thief, why didn't Kallus alert us?"
"Because, Colonel Yularen, Kallus is the rebel spy, Fulcrum," Thrawn explained, "He used Lyste's cylinder to impersonate and implicate him. And more importantly he used the young Mandalorian Jedi's power to gain access to my office and reprogram my droids. Very skillfully, I might add."
"I would never have suspected one of my best students was capable of this betrayal," Yularen said, pretending to be in a tone of regret.
"And that is why you and so many others have been deceived," Thrawn stated, "I believe Agent Fulcrum will prove far more useful than Kallus ever was."
