Kanan was sitting on the ground in front of the plains of Lothal, contemplating and meditating as he remembered the times he's had with his girlfriend, the twins and the year that Janus has been a part of their crew.
"Wanna ride?" He recalled asking Satele when they just met five years ago on Lothal.
"The Jedi temple is in danger," he then heard Satele say in his mind.
"And we think it has to do with what Minister Tua told you guys all those years ago when she was defecting from the Empire and had her assassinated," he heard Janus telling the rest of the Ghost crew as well.
"Satele, would you want me to train you in the ways of the Force?" He recalled asking Satele when he, Hera and Sabine found out that she was Force-Sensitive after she unconsciously used the Force to open his holocron on the same day he, Hera, Zeb and Chopper met her and after he and the rest of the Ghost crew, excluding Janus, who wasn't part of their crew yet rescued her from Kallus' Star Destroyer.
"You don't know what it's like, Janus!" He then heard Satele yell at Janus in a tone that sounded like she was arguing with him in his mind.
"There's something I need to tell you," he heard himself say to someone and knew that it was in the future and knew that person was Hera.
"We have to help our people," he heard Satele say and realized that sometime in the near future she, Sabine and Janus will have to go back to Mandalore space and help their people before even though he was blind, he stared at the white Loth-wolf in the distance as it growled before it walked away.
"I need you to do something for me," Kanan told Satele as he sensed her walking towards him from behind.
"Anything," she said as she stopped walking.
"Take the lead on getting Hera back," Kanan told her.
"Shouldn't you be the one to do that?" She asked him with confusion.
"I would, but I can't think clearly because of the way I feel about her," he explained, "I might make a mistake. One that could cost us."
"We can do this together," she suggested.
"No," he said, refusing to do what she suggested as he stood up from the ground and turned around towards her, "I'll be with you, but this has to be your plan. You lead."
"If that's what you want," she told him as she complied with her master's statement.
"It's what we need if we're going to save Hera," Kanan stated as he turned away from her, "And everyone else."
Meanwhile at the Imperial Complex, Governor Pryce was sitting in a chair behind her desk in her office holding a datapad in her right hand as she used it to electrocute Hera with it as she was placed in an interrogation table as she wore an Imperial prisoner's uniform and groaned in pain from the electricity.
"You have a lovely voice, General Syndulla," Pryce told the Twi'lek before clicking on the datapad again to electrocute her with the interrogation table's electrocution devices, causing Hera to groan in pain again and she soon stopped electrocuting the Twi'lek as the door to the office slid open to reveal Thrawn as he entered the room with his arms behind his back as the governor electrocuted Hera with the interrogation table's electrocution devices yet again.
"Has she revealed the location of the rebel fleet?" Thrawn asked Pryce as he walked up to her desk.
"Oh, I haven't begun asking questions yet," she told him before clicking on the datapad yet again, causing the interrogation table's electrocution devices to electrocute Hera again with her groaning in pain.
"Then allow me," Thrawn requested as the electrocution devices from the interrogation table stopped interrogating Hera.
"I'll die before I tell you anything," Hera told the Chiss in a bitter tone.
"I imagine you will, General," Thrawn stated as he brushed dust off of his Grand Admiral tunic's rank plaque, "Like so many of your friends in the failed attack, and so much of your family back on Ryloth. I wanted to ask you about your Kalikori." He then moved his right hand from behind his back to reveal that he had her Kalikori in his right hand before turning back around towards her, "I like to know the deeper meanings of the pieces I collect. To me, they are not merely trophies, but symbols that truly represent some of my greatest adversaries."
"You don't need to know what it means, since I'll be taking it back," Hera scoffed at him.
"From my own analysis, I have determined that these shapes represent individuals important to you at some time in your life," Thrawn told her before pointing at one of the designs on the Kalikori, "This design I found most interesting, for it seems to refer to a brother, one who died while he was still quite young. I imagine it is a bittersweet memory for you."
"You aren't worthy of holding that, let alone understanding it," Hera stated as she looked at him with anger in her eyes.
"Of course. I do apologize. However, it's legacy likely ends with you. You should take heart knowing that this work of art is at least appreciated by its new owner," Thrawn told her before turning to Pryce, "Governor Pryce, I'll leave you to complete her interrogation."
"I don't care much for art," Pryce informed Hera as Thrawn left the room and walked up to her with the datapad in her hand before clicking on it again, causing the interrogation table's interrogation devices to electrocute Hera yet again with her screaming in pain as Pryce looked at her, smiling sadistically, happy to see her in pain.
"Anything, girls?" Zeb asked Satele and Sabine with Janus behind the twins on Satele's old comm tower as the twins had their right arms extended outwards, while they held their helmets under their other arm as Chopper stood with them, while Janus held his helmet under his arm as well before punching him as he shushed him.
"I know where she is," Satele said as she lowered her right arm, a few seconds later before she turned around towards Zeb and her boyfriend.
"Me too," Sabine said as she lowered her right arm as well and turned around towards Zeb and Janus, "She's in the dome in Governor Pryce's office."
"From what I've learned since I've joined your crew is that the administrative offices would be on the 157th level," Janus told them as he and Zeb walked towards them, "D block."
"Okay. So how do we get past all the patrols, gun turrets and watchtowers?" Zeb asked them, "It's not like we can fly in."
"That's exactly what we'll do, on gliders," Satele answered.
"I wasn't trying to give you an idea," Zeb told her as he sighed.
"I think it's a great idea," Janus said, agreeing with his girlfriend.
"Mmm, no Satele's right. The Empire's equipped to counter sophisticated weaponry and targets. They won't be looking for something low-tech like a simple gilder," Sabine told Zeb, agreeing with her sister and Janus.
"I don't know. If we get spotted, we're at a pretty big disadvantage," Zeb argued.
"No. We'll just look like Loth-bats," Satele explained when Chopper suddenly grunted a response as she pointed at the Imperial Complex in the distance, "Look toward the south entrance, where the garbage chute is." She then pulled out a pair of electrobinoculars and handed them to Zeb, who took them and placed them over his eyes and saw what Satele was getting at, "I bet we can glide right past them and never be noticed."
"Right," Zeb muttered as he removed the electrobinoculars from his eyes, "So where do we get these gliders?"
"Easy. We make them," Sabine answered.
"I was thinking the exact same thing, Sabine," Janus told his girlfriend's sister.
Inside the cave dwelling area, Kaan sat inside the cave with his legs folded and grabbed his lightsaber from his belt and placed it to his side ashe sat in front of a small stone-like table with a knife on top of the small stone-like table before removing his mask from his eyes and placing it on top of the table and picked up the knife before placing it on the back of his head as he went to cut his ponytail.
Outside the cave, Sabine, Satele, Chopper and Mart were using welding tools as the others, which included Janus, Zeb, Jai and Ryder placed parts off of speeder bikes and attached them to the gliders they were making.
Back inside of the cave, Kanan placed his left hand over his chin and beard as he placed the knife over the right side of his head and beard as he began to use the knife to shave his beard.
Back outside of the cave, Sabine and Satele held their airbrushes in their hands as they used them to spray paint the gliders.
"Finished!" Sabine exhaled as she finished spray painting one of the gliders with her airbrush.
"I just finished as well, Sis," Satele said as she finished spray painting one of the other gliders as well before she placed her airbrush back inside of one of her armor's bags.
"How can either of you tell?" Zeb asked them as he walked up to Sabine and Satele as all three gliders were standing up as they were finished constructing them as they were made of wood and fabric.
"I'll let Kanan know we're ready," Satele said as she walked away from the glider that she was spray painting at before she and Sabine finished spray painting the gliders with their airbrushes.
"I know," they all suddenly heard Kanan say before she turned around and was shocked as she saw him as she saw that he had shaved his beard, sideburns, side of his hair and cut his hair to the top of his forehead and smiled as he approached her, "Let's go get Hera."
Soon Satele and Sabie were wearing TIE pilot flight suits and dyed their hair back to their natural hair color, dark brown as they got on the gliders as they were attached to one another with a metal hook, while Zeb grunted as he stood up and walked towards Kanan with Janus.
"What's the matter, you two?" Kanan asked them.
"It's probably good you can't see this flying contraption," Zeb told him, "This is one of those times I'm glad the Force is with you."
"I'm glad it is one of those times too, Kanan, and may the Force be with you," Janus told the blind Jedi Knight as he walked over to Satele as Zeb chuckled, while Kanan placed his left hand over Zeb's right shoulder as they walked past Chopper, who stood next to a speeder bike, "Come back safe, Teal'ika."
"I will, Jan'ika," Satele assured him, "Ni kar'tayl gar darasuum."
"Ni kar'tayl gar darasuum, too, Teal'ika," Janus replied in Mando'a before giving her a quick kiss.
The twins began to climb onto the gliders as Janus walked away from his girlfriend as their TIE pilot helmets sat on one of the wings of two of the gliders as they connected the chain of the glider in the front to the one in the center and in the back before Kanan climbed into the harness of the glider in the center as the twins picked up their TIE pilot helmets and placed them over their heads as they laid in the harnesses' of the gliders in the front and the back, while Chopper grabbed the hook for the glider in the front as he activated his rocket booster and landed on top of the back of the speeder bike and in front of the gliders.
"Ready…" Satele began to say as Zeb sat down on the speeder bike's seat and nodded a response, "Go!"
With that said, Zeb powered the speeder bike's engine on and piloted it out into the plains before Chopper grunted as he let go of his end of the hook as the gliders began to climb up into the air as Satele unhook her glider from the hook that Chopper held in one of his utility arms.
"Go get her. Bring her back!" Zeb shouted out to Kanan and the twins as they flew away with all of the hooks detached from one another.
"Your TIE Defender project is at risk. Orson Krennic has been quite persuasive about diverting the funding to his own project, Stardust," a hologram of Tarkin told Thrawn as the Chiss Grand Admiral was sitting at his desk in his office on board his Star Destroyer, the Chimaera as the Grand Moff was being projected by the holoprojector on the desk that was also projecting a small hologram of a TIE Defender Elite as Tarkin also had his arms behind his back.
"The Emperor has assured me that he supports my project," Thrawn stated as he placed his hand over his chest for a second.
"In my view, Director Krennic's project has been nothing but expenses and excuses for years on end," Tarkin told him, "If construction of the Defender is to continue, you must make your case directly to the Emperor himself. I have already arranged the meeting."
"But I'm needed here to extract the location of the rebel base from General Syndulla with Governor Pryce," Thrawn protested.
"Not to worry, Grand Admiral, I've already dispatched someone to help Governor Pryce in your absence, Commander Crosshair of Task Force 99," Tarkin assured the Chiss.
"Then I'll leave immediately, Moff Tarkin," Thrawn relented before the hologram of Tarkin disappeared from the holoprojector on his disk before he switched off the hologram of the TIE Defender Elite as he stood up and activated his desk's communications system, "Commodore Faro, inform Governor Pryce that I'm departing for Coruscant and that she'll be expecting Commander Crosshair of Task Force 99 to take my place in my absence. As soon as you have your course, make the jump into Hyperspace."
With that said, the Chimaera suddenly left Lothal as it jumped into Hyperspace.
"I don't know about you, but those things sure creep me out," a stormtrooper told another stormtrooper as they walked around a platform at the Imperial Complex as Loth-bats above them shrieked as they flew by with the gliders that Satele, Sabine and the others constructed flying past them as well.
"Ah, just ignore 'em," the other stormtrooper suggested, "At least they're not as dangerous as those Loth-cats."
"Anything to report?" Rukh asked the two stormtroopers as he walked towards them.
"Nothing to report here, sir, just the same as usual," one of the stormtroopers reported as Rukh sniffed around the area, "Loth-bats…" Rukh then jumped onto the rail nearby and continued to sniff as he saw Loth-bats flying around before jumping back onto the platform they were standing on.
As Satele, Kanan and Sabine continued to fly through the skies of Lothal on the gliders with Satele leading them, they soon entered Capital City and flew over a couple of stormtroopers, a civilian piloting a landspeeder, a human female with dark tan skin, brown eyes and hair styled in a ponytail talking to a Rodian as she had her arms crossed, they soon began to approach the Imperial Complex as Satele let go of one side of her glider's harness for a second and pointed upwards with her left hand's index finger before her left hand grabbed onto her glider's harness again as they flew upwards and soon landed onto the Imperial Complex's south entrance's chute.
"No alarms," Satele noted as she removed her TIE pilot's helmet from her head and placed it under her arm as they all stood up from the gliders' harnesses before Sabine removed her helmet as well and placed it on her glider's left wing, "So far so good."
"People never pay enough attention to the world around them," Kanan explained.
"Good thing you taught me and Sabine otherwise," Satele told him.
"Both you and Sabine are good listeners, Satele. It served both of you here and will serve both of you again in the future," Kanan told her as he placed his right hand over her left shoulder.
"What do you mean?" She asked him.
"I hate to break up the moment," Sabine said as she grabbed a pair of some magnetic clamp-like devices as she approached them and showed them to Kanan, "Magnetic climbers. They'll stick to the dome's surface."
"Perfect, thank you," he said as she handed him the magnetic climbers before she walked back towards her glider and picked up her TIE pilot's helmet and placed it under her arm.
"Okay, Pryce's office is about six levels down," Satele told Kanan as she walked back towards him after looking down the side of the Imperial Complex's chute, "Hera should be…"
"I know where she is…" he said, interrupting her.
"All right. We'll get the ship. Signal us when you're ready," Satele told him as she and Sabine ran away from the chute as Kanan ran towards the edge.
"Satele, Sabine," Kanan said, calling out to the twins, who stopped and turned around towards him, "May the Force be with you." He then hopped off the edge of the garbage chute as he said that before the twins placed their TIE pilots' helmets back over their heads as they went to climb up a ladder, while Kanan began climbing down the side of the Imperial Complex with the magnetic climbers and as he passed one of the windows of a room, he sensed that Hera's Kalikori was in the room and realized that it was Thrawn's office before he climbed back up to the window and placed both of the magnetic climbers on the ledge of the window before he let go of the left magnetic climber as he extended his left arm outwards as he began to use the Force in order to bring Hera's Kalikori towards him.
Meanwhile inside the Imperial Complex, the twins ran forward within one of the corridors before stopping as a group of stormtroopers walked by and continued on, walking as the stormtroopers walked past them before they continued running down the corridor.
Back inside of Pryce's office, the governor of Lothal was sitting at her desk, using a datapad as Hera was still being strapped onto the interrogation table when the door to her office suddenly slid open as a humanoid figure wearing armor that was similar to that of Katarn-class commando armor with a jetpack over their pacl along with a couple of special disks around his back as their helmet had a green visor that included a macrobinocular viewplate's rangefinder with the armor being colored gray with two DC-17s in their armor's holsters and a modified 773 Firepuncher sniper rifle strapped to their back before they removed their helmet and placed it under their arm to reveal a clone with light skin that had a tattoo that looked like a black colored target over his right eye, gray hair in the style of a military hairstyle, hiding some burn scars on the right side of his head and a toothpick in his mouth and as he entered the room, Hera gasped in shock as she saw him.
"It's finally nice to meet you, Commander Crosshair," Pryce said, greeting the clone as she stood up and approached him.
"Likewise, Governor," Crosshair responded before turning to Hera.
"You," Hera said in a bitter tone as she recognized him.
"Hera Syndulla, we meet again," Crosshair responded.
"You imprisoned my father and mother 19 years ago on Ryloth before your former crew members including a clone by the name of Omega helped me rescue them," Hera told him with anger and resentment in her voice, "And sometime afterwards you killed my mother in cold blood."
"Well, your mother was plotting against the Emperor, so she deserved it," Crosshair explained without remorse in his voice before turning back to Pryce, "You may proceed, Governor."
"Since you're unwilling to tell me the location of the rebel fleet, perhaps the Imperial mind probe will be more persuasive and if that does not work, I'll have Commander Crosshair beat you for the information instead," Pryce suggested as she walked towards Hera before an IT-O interrogation droid appeared next to her and began to approach Hera, "Let's begin." Hera then groaned in pain as the interrogation droid's syringe was injected into her neck as she began to get dizzy as her vision went fuzzy, "Now, you will tell us the location of the rebel fleet."
"They're in the… in the…" Hera began to say in a slurred sounding speech.
"Where are the rebels, General Syndulla?!" Crosshair demanded the Twi'lek as he slapped her across the face, snapping her back to reality.
"Huh? Kanan's here," Hera said as she looked at the window in front of them and saw Kanan outside of the window.
"No he's not," Crosshair told her as he turned around towards the window and couldn't see Kanan anywhere in the window, "I don't see Caleb."
"Agreed, she's delusional," Pryce said, agreeing with Crosshair as she turned around towards the window and couldn't see Kanan in the window either, "Perhaps we've pushed you too far."
"I need to speak to both of you, Governor and Commander," Rukh told both the governor and clone as he entered the room with the two stormtroopers from before.
"We'll just be a moment," Pryce informed Hera as she gripped Hera's chin for a second before she and Crosshair left the room with Ruh as the interrogation table tilted upwards to stand up.
"I'm gonna be honest with you two. You're in terrible trouble," Hera told the two stormtroopers, who then looked at each other with confusion, "I wonder how he's gonna get in."
A lightsaber blade suddenly came through the floor and rotated around in a circle beneath the feet of one of the stormtroopers, causing the stormtrooper to look down, "Huh?" He then screamed as he fell down the hole to his death as Kanan had one of the magnetic climbers on the bottom of the floor and beneath Pryce's office as he deactivated his lightsaber.
"Ah. I thought he'd come through the window," Hera muttered to herself as she looked down and saw where Kanan was as he climbed through the hole and reignited his lightsaber.
"This is LS-261. We're under attack!" The other stormtrooper said into his helmet's comlink as he began to run out of the room, only for Kanan to extend his left arm out towards him and grabbed him with the Force and pushed him through the window, shattering it on impact as he fell to his death before Kanan turned to the interrogation droid and stabbed his saber into it, disabling the droid as it fell to the floor before he kicked it down the hole.
"That droid really deserved that," Hera commented as Kanan rushed over to the door and stabbed his saber into the panel next to the door before deactivating his lightsaber as he rushed over to Hera as he unlocked the interrogation table's restraints over her feet.
"Sorry, I'm a little late," he apologized as he unlocked the interrogation table's restraints that were placed around her torso.
"I forgive you," she told him as she fell into his arms.
"Oh! I see," he said as he noticed her attitude change, "We're in a special mood thanks to the interrogation droid."
"Well, I didn't like that droid, Kanan," she told him.
"I didn't like that droid, either," Kanan said, agreeing with her, recalling when one was used on him four years ago when he was on Tarkin's Star Destroyer when the Empire captured him before he picked up the magnetic climbers as he began to help her walk as he placed her left arm around the back of his neck as they began heading towards the window.
"Wait. Wait," Hera told him as she noticed that he had cut his hair and shaved his beard, "I have to tell you something." She then placed her left hand over the right side of his face, "I…" She then moved her hand up to his hair before lowering it back down to his cheek, "I hate your hair."
"It's the best I could do without a mirror," he explained as he chuckled for a second.
"Your hair hasn't been this short since we first met," she stated.
"That reminds me, I brought you a present," he told her.
"A present?" She repeated with disbelief in her voice, "Kanan, you haven't gotten me a present since we first met."
"I know. But you'll like this one," he told her as he took her Kalikori out.
"Oh, Kanan…" she said with disbelief in her voice as she took it from him, "This is mine."
"I know," he replied.
"Then it's not really a present," she told him when they suddenly heard a muffled thump and electricity crackling from outside the door.
"Party's over. Let's go!" Kanan announced as he realized that the Imperials were trying to force their way through the door as Hera grabbed onto his back as he placed the magnetic climbers on the ledge above them and began to ascend upwards as the door finally opened with Pryce, Pryce, Crosshair, Rukh and a squad of Death Troopers entering the room as the Noghri hopped onto Pryce's desk and began sniffing around before looking up.
"The rebels were here," Rukh told Pryce and Crosshair as he turned back around towards them.
"Let me handle this," Crosshair said as he activated his jetpack as he began to follow the blind Jedi Knight up the side of the Imperial Complex.
"Rebels in the base," Pryce said as she turned to one of the Death Troopers, "Lock down the facility and scramble the gunships! Blast them on sight!" The Death Trooper that she was looking at nodded as they replied in a scrambled voice as they ran out of the room with the other Death Troopers.
Satele and Sabine soon entered the Imperial Complex's hangar as multiple Imperial patrol transports lifted off from the ground as the alarms began blaring all over the Imperial Complex.
"Well, I guess Kanan got Hera out," Satele stated as she saw the Imperial patrol transports take off.
"I'll fly," Sabine told her as they ran forward as stormtroopers ran onto one of the Imperial patrol transports as a TIE pilot stood next to one of the Imperial patrol transport's wings as Sabine walked up to him, while Satele ran into the Imperial patrol transport's troop bay, "Hey pilot! You've been reassigned."
"I wasn't informed…" the TIE pilot said with confusion in his voice.
"Come here. I'll show you the orders," the Mandalorian Jedi Knight told him before punching him in the stomach, knocking him out.
"Aren't you the copilot?" A stormtrooper with a black pauldron asked Satele as he held onto the rail above them with his left hand as he held an E-11 blaster rifle in his other hand.
"I'm the backup pilot, so I'm here in the back," Satele answered, causing the other stormtroopers to look at one another with confusion but shrugged it off.
"Prepare for takeoff," Sabine said as she sat in the cockpit and powered up the engines as Satele held onto the rail above them with the stormtrooper with the black pauldron, while the other stormtroopers sat on the benches inside of the troop bay as the Imperial patrol transport took off and flew away from the Imperial Complex with the other Imperial patrol transports.
"I knew you'd come," Hera told Kanan as he climbed up the Imperial Complex with the magnetic climbers as she held onto his back, while unbeknownst to them, Crosshair was flying up towards the Imperial Complex's south entrance's garbage chute with his jetpack.
"I hope not. It's a long way down," he remarked as they soon reached the top of the Imperial Complex's south entrance's garbage chute, where he and the twins landed the gliders at.
"You've always been there for me," she told him as she rolled off of his back and laid on her back, "Whenever I needed you."
"Well, that's the job isn't it?" He asked her.
"No that's not what I'm saying," she told him as she stood up and nearly fell off of the garbage chute but Kanan sensed this and was quick enough to grab her before she could fall of the garbage chute.
"What are you saying?" He asked her.
"Whoa, did you fly on those things?" Hera asked him as she noticed the gliders nearby.
"Yeah," Kanan confirmed as he rubbed the back of his head with his right hand, "The twins came up with that one."
"Not bad," Hera said as they began to walk towards the gliders.
"With any luck, Satele and Sabine are finding us a better ride," Kanan told her.
"Oh, I don't know, I kind of want to try those," Hera said as she sat down on the harness of one of the gliders.
"You would," Kanan remarked as she began to get into the harness, "Hera… There's something I need to tell you."
"We meet again, Caleb Dume," they heard Crosshair say, tauntingly as he jumped down from the ladder, "After all these years since Hunter let you escape on Kaller when Order 66 was executed. And I'm about to correct his worst mistake."
"Crosshair," Kanan muttered as he recognized the clone's voice as he grabbed his lightsaber from his belt and ignited it and went into the stance known as Ataru, only for Crosshair to grab his modified 773 Firepuncher sniper rifle and fired a blaster bolt at the blind Jedi Knight's hand, causing him to let go of his lightsaber as it deactivated and fell off of the building.
"You won't be needing your lightsaber," Crosshair explained as he strapped his modified 773 Firepuncher sniper rifle strapped back over his back before Kanan rushed towards him as he sensed where the clone was with the Force as he began to punch Crosshair in the stomach a few times with Crosshair doing the same before he kneed him in the stomach, causing Kanan to groan in pain as he fell on his back.
"Hera, take this!" Kanan called out to his girlfriend as he pulled his DL-18 blaster pistol out and threw it towards her.
"What do I do with it, Kanan?" Hera asked him.
"You're going to stun him," Kanan explained as Hera picked up his DL-18 blaster pistol and aimed it at Crosshair as he walked towards Kanan as she fired a stun blast at the clone, knocking him unconscious when a squad Death Troopers suddenly appeared at the top of the ladder, firing their E-11D blaster carbines at them as she sat on her butt and fired at one of them as they fell off of the ladder.
"Try this!" Hera suggested as she handed Kanan back his DL-18 blaster pistol as she rotated one of the gliders.
"What are you doing?" Kanan asked as he aimed his DL-18 blaster pistol at one of the Death Troopers as he sensed what Hera was doing with the Force.
"Time to go," she answered as a squad of stormtroopers appeared on a catwalk above them and began firing at them with their E-11 blaster rifles, causing him to fire his DL-18 blaster rifle back at them.
"We'll go together. You fly!" Kanan told her as he ran over towards her and the glider she was on.
"Of course. Now come on," Hera said as he got on the glider next to her as it took off from the building as she began to pilot the glider away from the Imperial Complex as one of the Death Troopers helped Crosshair up, who looked at them with anger on his face as he watched them fly away from the Imperial Complex as the stormtroopers continued to fire upon the glider that Hera and Kanan were on with their E-11 blaster rifles when suddenly, the glider's right wing caught on fire as one of the stormtroopers' blaster bolts collided with the glider's wing, "Got a problem here!"
"It's not so bad. You're doing fine," Kanan assured her.
"That is not fine!" She stated as the fire began to expand.
"Just keep us in the air as long as you can," he told her.
"What choice do I have?" She asked him, rhetorically.
"That's the spirit!" He told her, "Can you make it to the fuel depot?"
"I'll try, but we're losing altitude fast," she replied.
"Governor Pryce, Hera Syndulla and Caleb Dume otherwise known as Kanan Jarrus are headed for the fuel depot," Crosshair said on Pryce's comlink as she had her Imperial officer's battle armor over her Imperial officer's uniform with a helmet that was nearly identical to that of an AT-ST over her head as she walked with two AT-AT pilots in the Imperial Complex's hangar near a couple of AT-ATs.
"I'll mobilize walkers. We'll trap them there," Pryce told the clone with her comlink.
"This is gonna be close!" Hera told Kanan as they neared the fuel depot on the glider.
"It always is!" He remarked as they soon crash landed on the ground around the fuel depot with the glider as Kanan was knocked off of the glider before they began to stand back up as he groaned as he looked at her, "That was one of your better crashes."
"Kanan Jarrus, you know I never crash," she told him as she held her Kalikori in her right hand, "I have very…"
"Very exciting landings," he finished for her, "Thanks for reminding me. Come on." He then grabbed her left hand as they began to run through the fuel depot.
"Specter-5, do you read?" Kanan suddenly said on Sabine's comlink asshe piloted the Imperial patrol transport that she and Satele were on, "How are you coming with that ship?"
"Kanan!" Sabine said with relief in her voice, "Did you get her?"
"Of course he did," Hera replied on her comlink.
"Yes!" Satele cried, happily, confusing the stormtroopers, who just stared at her with confusion before she placed her left hand over the back of her TIE pilot's helmet, "Yes. Isn't flying great?"
"There's been a change of plans," Kanan told Sabine on her comlink, "We need a pickup…"
"In the fuel depot, I know," Sabine finished for him, "The Empire does too."
"Let's hope you get to us first," Kanan said as he and Hera reached a ladder in the fuel depot that led to one of the fuel pods with Hera climbing up the ladder, "We'll be on top of the central fuel pod." He then placed his comlink over his belt as he began climbing up the ladder of the central fuel pod as well.
"Specter-6, you're gonna want to hang on," Sabine said, contacting her sister as she removed her TIE pilot's helmet and placed it to the side.
"Sorry guys, this is where you get off," Satele told the stormtroopers as she placed both of her hands on the rail above her as Sabine tilted the Imperial patrol transport to its side, causing the stormtroopers to be blown out of the Imperial patrol transport, screaming before Sabine fired the Imperial patrol transport's laser cannons at one of the Imperial patrol transports that were in front the one she was piloting before the lasers from the lasers cannons of the Imperial patrol transport that she was piloting collided with the Imperial patrol transport that she fired at, destroying it instantly.
The other Imperial patrol transport noticed what Sabine did and the TIE pilot of the other Imperial patrol transport began to fire his Imperial patrol transport's laser cannons at her Imperial patrol transport, causing her to swing the Imperial patrol transport around as Satele removed her TIE pilot's helmet as the Imperial patrol transport swung around as she grabbed both of her lightsabers and ignited their blades as she began to use them to deflect the other Imperial patrol transport's lasers back at the other Imperial patrol transport, destroying the Imperial ship and the TIE pilot on board.
"Kanan…" Hera said, calling out to her boyfriend as she followed him up to the top of the central fuel pod after they finished climbing up the ladder, causing him to turn to her, "I know what to say now. I love you."
"Must be the truth serum talking," Kanan stated as he chuckled.
"No," she said as she walked up to him "It's me. All me." She then placed her left hand over his cheek before pulling him towards her as they began to kiss each other passionately for a few seconds when the Imperial patrol transport that Sabine was piloting suddenly arrived at the central fuel pod with Sabine saluting them as she rotated the ship around to its side.
"Hey, enough of that," Satele told them, "Time to go!" Kanan and Hera then began to walk towards the Imperial patrol transport.
"Target that fuel pod! Now!" Pryce ordered the AT-AT pilots as she removed her eyes from the AT-AT's spotter as two AT-ATs began to approach the fuel depot.
"But, sir, the fuel…" one of the AT-AT pilots said, protesting the order that she just gave them.
"I gave you a direct order," she told him and with that both AT-ATs fired their heavy laser cannons at the central fuel pod.
Meanwhile back at the Imperial Complex, Crosshair had his helmet back over his head and standing on top of the Imperial Complex's south entrance's garbage chute as he sensed that something was wrong and flipped down his helmet's macrobinocular viewplate's rangefinder and saw that the one of the two AT-ATs fired their heavy laser cannons at the fuel depot's central fuel pod.
"Bad move, Pryce," Crosshair muttered to himself, angrily as he flipped his helmet's macrobinocular viewplate's rangefinder back up before removing his helmet from his head and placing it under his arm, "Because now you've made an enemy out of me."
Kanan turned around as he sensed the lasers from one of the AT-ATs heavy laser cannons coming towards them as the lasers collided with the side of the central fuel pod, causing a wave of fire to ignite from the fuel pod as Kanan ran from the Imperial patrol transport towards the middle of the fuel pod as it began to crack open as he extended both of his arms out as the wave of fire came up from the side of the fuel pod as he tried to hold back the wave of fire with the Force.
"Kanan!" Hera cried out to her boyfriend as she rushed out towards him from the Imperial patrol transport, only for him to use the Force to stop her from coming any closer to him as he partially rotated around towards her before turning his head around towards her she he used the Force to push her into Satele's arms as his eyes changed from pale white and back to teal-blue as his sight was restored, fulfilling the promise that he gave her before he, Ahsoka, Sabine and Satele went to Malachor, three years ago when Maul blinded him and stared at his girlfriend, Padawan and the ship that his former Padawan was piloting for a few seconds before turning back around all the way towards them and used the Force to push the Imperial patrol transport away as they all looked distraught as Sabine piloted the ship away from the fuel depot as Kanan sacrificed himself as the entire fuel depot imploded.
