"THE WHOLE POINT OF TELEPORTING TO BRITAIN IS THAT I AVOID THE SKY!"

Percy was panicking as Hecate, the goddess he would kill very very soon, had teleported him to Britain just 20,000 feet above the ground.

"The king of the gods is not paying attention here, plus this will be a good icebreaker for us both." Hectate's smooth voice could be heard clearly even over the howl of the winds.

"WHERE IS MY PARACHUTE!" Percy was trying hard not to pray since he knew who would hear him and he did not want to be the first person to die by lightning 20,000 feet in the air.

"You're joining the wizarding world so magic is your new parachute." Hecate sounded amused by Percy's distress, the audacity of that bi-.

"Holy shit, Is that London?" Percy was momentarily awed by the view of concrete and glass structures, multi-coloured vehicles moving through the old city, and little spots that he suddenly realised were people moving about not wondering about two bodies falling from the sky.

Oh, right he was falling from the sky.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Percy was moving toward the ground at the speed of sound when suddenly a bouncy castle appeared at the exact spot he was going to fall.

Mortals just avoided the bouncy castle that had appeared out of nowhere, thank goodness.

Percy was going to hug Hecate but then he landed on the magical bouncy castle and was shot back into the sky.

Cue the screaming.

Percy thankfully didn't have to go through that again as he willed the water to come to his rescue, unfortunately in his panicked state, he caused a mini-explosion of water that the mist did not cover-up.

"Next time, take me to dinner for an icebreaker." Percy was panting, oxygen was not abundant in the upper atmosphere.

"The after-activities of dinner are the icebreaker and yes I would love to." Hecate had a grin on her face that Percy wanted to punch out of existence but he was able to restrain himself.

Instead, Percy opted to look around at the confused mortals who were running away from the danger to the arms of safety- and they were running towards the bridge to take a selfie.

The idiocy of these people made him feel right at home.

"They think a WW2-era bomb exploded," Hecate explained at his inquiring look.

Hecate then looped her arms with Percys, "Come now, you'll want to see this."

Percy just quietly followed her, he didn't comment on hand-holding, mostly out of fear but maybe some part of him liked the fact that a beautiful goddess was holding his arm, not that he would ever admit that.

After a long walk, they reached a worn-down pub that people seemed to be ignoring.

"Did we time travel?" Percy couldn't help but ask as he looked at the club, this place looked like it was built when Arthur ruled the land.

"The wizarding world did not evolve like mortals," Hecate responded, taking me through the back doors. Percy saw the paintings of 2 knights fighting, no they were literally fighting like it was Flat screen TV and not a painting from the middle ages.

"You will be surprised by how primitive they are in some aspects." She ended as they reached a brick wall. She whipped out a stick, no a wand, and the brick wall opened up to what could have been a movie scene.

Twisted buildings came in every colour of the rainbow as kids dressed in robes looked in through the glass at the wall of broomsticks like they were made of gold, frogs were being chased by cats and kids were running all around. At the far end of the alley was a huge marble structure that Percy assumed was a bank or government building.

"Welcome to Diagon Alley, the Time Square of the Wizarding World."

Percy was impressed, granted it wasn't as stunning as the Olympian market place but this was still impressive. It also had a layer of humanity that was simply absent on the fine carved buildings and pathways in Olympus, Olympus did not have lively kids running around enjoying the weather or stray cats or anything this lively. It made the place feel almost alive.

"I think I'm going to like this world."

"I am attending what now"

"You are going to attend Hogwarts, the best wizarding school in the world, for one year."

Percy stared at his ice cream bowl in dread, this is why she took him to an ice cream parlour before going anywhere else.

"Lady, I am not school material."

"It's a magical school."

"I don't care if it's a magical school, my luck will find a way to blow it up." Percy would have ranted more if it wasn't more the cat that jumped onto his lap, he distantly remembered something about the cat being Hectate's creation, he fed her some cat food that they sold and it calmed him down enough.

"This is a fun school, you will learn about the wizarding world and make friends and allies that can help in the upcoming war, and you get to know the people you will be saving."

"Or I could just start hunting down criminals."

Hecate looked down a hint of guilt in her eyes, "the war kind has not yet started."

Percy stared at her while petting the cat he had named Whiskers, he had not gotten better at naming things since he had named the Ophiotaurus Bessie when he was thirteen.

"Then why am I here?"

"To go to school, get people to trust you, make friends, and most importantly to prepare for the war," Hecate said with a raised eyebrow.

"You wouldn't want to enter a war without preparations if you could help it, would you?"

"Fair point." Percy grimaced, "but I am not going to like it" his face morphed into a frown as Whiskers left his lap and started wandering through her home of Diagon alley.

"Oh, I am sure you're going to love it," Hecate said," plus I will give you a few missions to keep you entertained and help you gather power in this world"

Percy's face lit up in a smile, he didn't like war but he loved fighting battles, mostly because he always came out on top and the world was a better place with the people he killed were in Tartarus.

Hectate handed him a sack.

"Here, this is similar to your lotus casino card except it gives out galleons, sickles, knuts, and any form of wizarding currency that you might need."

"That's one less thing to worry about." Percy had figured he would get something like that, not that he needed it, he was the prince of the seas and regularly raided sunken ships full of gold and age-old treasures, it's how he had met the ghost of Da Vinci but that was a story for another time.

They entered a shop with the banner Ollivanders, fine wand makers since 382 BCE.

A man that seemed about as old as the shop glided in front of us. I assumed this was Ollivander.

"Broke your wand?" The man's voice also sounded old but also wise like he knew every secret that the Wizarding world held.

"No, the old one was just of very poor quality," Hecate answered for me.

"Do not worry miss, we are the finest wandmakers in all of Europe!" Ollivander assured her with a proud smile.

"Wand hand." Percy just raised his right hand even though he had some practice with his left but that was mostly just dual welding and he didn't do it very often since only riptide was the only balanced sword he could find.

A measuring tape started taking measurements of his hands, the distance between his eyebrows- the measuring tape just kept flying over him.

"You can drop the Nazi salute love." Percy quickly brought his arms to his side and sent a glare to the smirking goddess.

"13 inches, rigid, Black Walnut, dragon heartstring core." The wand let out an angry red light that blew the windows out.

That described the next 40 minutes of Percy's life as he tried different wands all of which had very violent reactions.

Until one wand, 5 inches, non-flexible, cherry wood, and unicorn hair, burned up.

Ollivander smiled like a man who had won the lottery.

"That hasn't happened before in the history of this shop," Ollivander said in awe.

"You, my boy are destined for great things," Ollivander muttered as he moved to the back of the shop.

"You're telling me." Percy muttered darkly, he was getting tired of the ordeal, Hecate just looked excited.

"This is more interesting than even I anticipated." Hecate sounded giddy.

Percy would have given a smart-ass response but Ollivander came back with an ancient-looking box.

"15 inches, very flexible, but unchanging, English Oak and Cedar, Phoenix feather core," taking the wand Percy waved it, and out shot a sea green light that seemed to make the shop a bit brighter, suddenly the dark corners weren't so dark and the light coming from the window was brighter.

"Whenever I meet one who carries a cedar wand, I find the strength of character and unusual loyalty. My father, Gervaise Ollivander, used to always say, 'you will never fool the cedar carrier,' and I agree; the cedar wand finds its perfect home where there is perspicacity and perception. I would go further than my father, however, in saying that I have never yet met the owner of a cedar wand whom I would care to cross, especially if harm is done to those of whom they are fond. The witch or wizard who is well-matched with cedar carries the potential to be a frightening adversary, which often comes as a shock to those who have thoughtlessly challenged them.

A wand for good times and bad, this is a friend as loyal as the wizard who deserves it. Wands of English oak demand partners of strength, courage, and fidelity. Less well-known is the propensity for owners of English oak wands to have powerful intuition, and, often, an affinity with the magic of the natural world, with the creatures and plants that are necessary to wizardkind for both magic and pleasure. It is said that Merlin's wand was of English oak, though his grave has never been found, so this cannot be proven.

Phoenix cores are extremely picky but can perform a wide range of magic and often act independently and their masters have an affinity for occlumency and other sorts of mind magic

The unusually long wand is for the people who are tall and have a big presence that affects the people around them greatly."

Percy just nodded as he was observing his wand, it seemed to be like a part of him, like a muscle that he had never used.

"I expect great things from you, great things" Ollivander seemed to be lost in thought.

"Wait then why did you need to measure the length of my eyebrows if the wand is based on my character?" Percy asked confusedly while still examining his wand.

Ollivander just smiled in response.

"that will be 7 Galleons."

"There now the trace is gone," Hecate said as she handed Percy back his wand.

"That sounds like a computer virus."

"It's something the ministry puts on wands so that they can track young wizards doing magic outside school."

Percy and Hecate soon bought some potion supplies, Hogwarts robes which were thankfully not too awful just a regular school uniform with the addition of a robe, and the books he would need for the year.

They entered a shop with pictures of houses on the walls, they had houses with little kids running around the lawn in some pictures while others had couples drinking tea and enjoying the views of the outside world with smells of the sea, and forests dominating the entire place.

"Welcome to Britain's shacks! How may I help you today?" a middle-aged witch asked with a rewarding smile.

"My boyfriend and I wanted to buy a house in the suburbs near Britain," Hecate said with a charming smile as she guided Percy's hands around her waist.

Percy was able to stop his jaw from dropping and making incomprehensible noises and just send Hecate very questioning and alarmed looks, she just rested her head on his shoulder.

Not to get Percy wrong, he was enjoying the interest this perfection of beauty that was the goddess of magic was taking in him, but he also knew how well relationships between mortals and gods ended. He knew not to stick his dick in crazy. A goddess was the dictionary definition of crazy.

Percy was zoned out for the rest of his time in the real estate shop, worrying about how he was going to deal with the goddess on his shoulder.

Percy was brought back to reality when Hecate teleported him to a boring-looking house that was mostly empty, outside the houses all looked identical.

"Welcome to Little Whining, this will be your new home for the next 2 months"

Percy decided to not comment on the previous scene and opted instead to look around and was not impressed. "Umm, I am a city kid but I don't think London could survive a Percy learning magic" Percy realised.

"No it wouldn't and this is close enough to the city that you can go there by car in 15 mins," Hecate said as she looked around. "You go explore the neighbourhood, I will do some renovations," she said looking around

-x-x-

Percy found a park in the labyrinth that was little Whining, how were you supposed to navigate when all the houses looked like mirror copies of each other?

The park looked like it came out of a horror movie, there was a long swing at the end and a small sand park, there was a small pond in the middle with clear water and a few fish swimming around, Percy resisted the urge to sit in the pond since he knew he would most likely not get up till Apollo's chariot had flown over Britain.

Percy instead took a walk around the park and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere.

"Hey! come back here!" an annoying-sounding voice screamed, Percy looked at the voice and saw 3 fat boys around 15 chasing an 8-year-old.

Percy's job in Britain was to interfere as much as possible, Percy let the kid run past him but stood in front of the fat guys.

"Move it freak!" The supposed leader of the group, looked like a pig in a wig, with beady eyes and clothes that should be awarded Mr Olympia for bearing the weight of this kid.

"Please, if anything you're the freak here, I am from the states and I haven't seen anyone as fat as you!" Fat kid 1s face turned as red as a tomato, which surprised Percy since he was pretty sure the kid hadn't seen a vegetable in his entire life.

The kid just threw a punch at him, in terrible form and he had his thumb inside his fist, which made Percy cringe, he didn't bother to block the blow.

The fat kid's fist connected to his face and the sound of bone shattering could be heard, the kid immediately started cradling his broken hand and crying, not manly crying like full-on sobbing.

"You're a freak! you're a freak just like the other one!"

"Yeah, we are called fit." Percy replied, the kid had some serious anger issues and eye sight issues if he was willing to start a fight in under a minute and think he would win against him, not to toot his own horn but Percy didn't exactly look weak.

"Now scram, I am trying to enjoy a walk here." Percy had dealt with a ton of bullies, they don't annoy people who are stronger than them.

The kids sent glares at him but ran away. Percy now noticed a kid sitting on the swing and looking at the scene with a grin, he was about as scrawny as 12-year-old Percy, he also had dark hair and green eyes, emerald green which was different from his own sea green eyes.

Percy made a split-second decision and walked towards the kid, the kid grinned at him but Percy could see he was a little shy.

"Nice one mate." the kid who looked very similar to 12-year-old him said, Percy decided to call him mini-me in his head. "Dudley needed to be knocked down a peg or ten."

"The pig in a wig has a name?" Percy asked with an amused smile, the kid's grin was infectious, much like his own.

mini Percy laughed "say, are you new? I haven't seen you around here."

"Yeah moved in today, I am from New York," Percy said as he outstretched his hand that mini Percy shook.

"Name's Percy Jackson,"

"Harry Potter." Both boys grinned at each other with mischief in their eyes and every teacher in a 10-mile radius shivered in fear.

-x-x-

Percy got Harry to show him around the place, the entire suburb was pretty boring but there was a movie theatre and a couple of restaurants littered around the community centre.

Percy bought both of them some Ice cream which Harry was grateful for but the trip was mostly uneventful, apparently, Harry lived with the fat kid who was his cousin and went to a boarding school that his parents had gone to so he only stayed here during the summers. Percy felt bad for the kid who was orphaned at 1 and decided he would hang around with him whenever he could, he didn't seem like he had many friends around anyways.

Percy came back through the front door to see the living room now looking very much sea-themed with light blue walls and furniture in varying degrees of blue, he liked the blue part.

"Welcome back," Hecate greeted from the loveseat.

"Neat place" Percy complimented before collapsing on the couch.

"Here is the plan, you will be going in your 6th year and should be able to learn everything by the time you need to leave which would be exactly 2 months".

"Yeah, I can definitely learn 6 years of schooling in 2 months" the sarcasm was thick dripping off of Percy's voice.

"Oh, don't worry I will be sending the information directly into your head tonight," Hecate said with a roll of her eyes.

"Cool, so I'll know how to do everything in one night," Percy was quite happy with that, he might like the idea of magic but learning about it like he was in school might kill that liking.

"No, it would be like you have read multiple really good books on magic and know a lot of spells but you will need to be trained to do actual magic to be able to do any of this well, it is similar to a surgeon who was read every book on surgery but is doing surgery for the first time, you wouldn't want him to be your surgeon." Hecate explained. She started moving towards the stairs, Percy followed her, tracing his fingers around the fish paintings that seemed to be moving up the stairs with him.

Percy's room was an exact copy of his room in the Argo 2 with a few elements like the paintings that he had back in his cabin at camp.

"Tomorrow we start with your training, for now, rest," Hecate said as her hand started glowing purple and gold. "Oh and I apologise in advance."

She then kissed me on the cheek very close to his lips and I felt a warm presence entering my mind, it gave out the distinct presence of knowledge unknown. I embraced the presence and immediately had a headache that made it feel like my brain was going to explode but thankfully I lost consciousness before that.

"Place the scales on your tongue, your eyes, and your ears. I have put all of the knowledge of the world at your fingertips, son of Neptune, but you must first gain the wisdom to seek it out. No one will give it to you." - all-knowing fish in the Irish sea to Percy Jackson in the son of the western sea.

AN: Happy New Year, hope to make 2023 great.

The next chapter will be about Percy learning magic and giving his OWLs and a few surprises. I think I should complete that in one chapter. I won't focus too much on that since I prefer writing about adventure myself.
