Across from the cave swelling, a Loth-cat meowed as it stood up and walked over to the White Loth-Wolf, who was spying on Satele, Janus and the other rebels as it climbed onto the White Loth-Wolf's head from climbing up its tail as they both stared at the cliff dwelling in the distance.
"All right, Satele and Janus, you both have our attention, now explain what's going on," Hera requested as she, Chopper, Zeb, Sabine, Janus and Satele stood around the stone plaque that Satele and Janus got from the Force Ghost of Tarre Vizsla, who brought it to them with the Force as Sabine had placed her hands over the top of the stone plaque as Zeb had his arms crossed, while she had her right hand over her hip.
"The stone came from the Jedi temple here on Lothal," Janus explained.
"That's far to the north," Hera stated, "How did it get here?"
"Our along with Sabine's distant ancestor of Tarre Vizsla did," Satele answered, "He along with my and Sabine's other Jedi ancestors, Revan, Bastila and Satele Shan think the Empire is doing something terrible there for the secrets within."
"Wait, you both spoke to a few of our distant ancestors?" Sabine said with shock, surprise and confusion in her voice as Hera crossed her arms, "They've been dead for over 3,000 years."
"It's hard to explain, Sis, but to put it simply, they learned to retain their consciousnesses after death to become Force Ghosts, which as Satele Shan said is an ability that has been lost for centuries," Satele explained, "And before they explained what is happening with the temple, she knighted me."
"So you're a Jedi Knight now, Sis?" Sabine said with shock in her voice.
"Yep," Satele confirmed, "But she also told me that within time, she'll teach us to retain our consciousnesses after death as well."
"Anyway, I wish they told you what these symbols mean," Sabine told her as she rotated a stone plaque a little, "But, mmm, maybe we could make more sense of them if we saw the temple up close like when we went there with Ahsoka, three years ago."
"I agree, Bine, we have to go," Satele said, agreeing with her sister, "I don't want the Empire putting their hands all over the temple."
"I agree, as well," Janus said, agreeing with both his girlfriend and her sister.
"I also agree," Zeb said, agreeing with all three Mandalorians.
"So let's stop them," Hera told them as she lowered her arms, "For Kanan."
"There's just one problem. As Hera said, the temple is far to the north and we don't have a ship," Sabine stated.
"I can get us there," Satele told her.
They then exited the cliff dwelling with Satele leading them onto the plains of Lothal as they stood n a round shaped Lothalian mound-like structure with normal shaped Lothalian mound-like structures surrounding them and a few of them being connected to the round shaped Lothalian mound-shaped structure they were standing on as Satele extended her right arm outwards to call the Loth-wolves, who appeared in front of them from a distance with one of them being the White Loth-Wolf before they began walking towards them.
"We're ready, can you take us," Satele asked the White Loth-Wolf before he leaned downwards for her to hop on his back before Hera climbed onto the back of one of the other Loth-Wolves with Janus doing the same as the Loth-Wolf that Satele hopped on stood back up.
"Are these things faster than speeders?" Zeb asked Satele.
"Well, they got us here in the first place," Sabine reminded him as she petted one of the other Loth-wolves' muzzles, "I guess they can get us to the temple as well."
"And if we used speeders we probably would alert the Empire to our presence," Janus added, agreeing with Sabine.
"I'm just, you know, more comfortable with speeders…" Zeb said as one of the Loth-Wolves sniffed him as Sabine walked off and climbed onto one of the Loth-Wolves' backs, "... 'cause, oh!" He then chuckled, "Oh, uh… Hello, my name is Zeb."
"Zeb, those ones don't talk," Satele told Zeb after he laughed nervously at the Loth-Wolf that was standing next to him.
"How do you know? It talks, uh, with its eyes," Zeb argued before climbing onto the back of the Loth-Wolf that was standing next to him before the Loth-Wolves then walked forward a bit.
"Everyone ready?" Satele asked everyone as Hera placed her goggles from her forehead and over her eyes, "Here we go."
With that said, the Loth-Wolves that Satele, Sabine, Janus, and Hera were on took off, while the Loth-Wolf that Zeb was on stood still as Chopper approached the Loth-Wolf as he had both of his metal arms pulled out of his dome, grunting before the Loth-Wolf picked him up with its mouth, causing Chopper to make a whining sound as the Loth-Wolf took off as it began running with the other Loth-Wolves as two Loth-Cats, who stood within the plains, watching the Loth-Wolves run across the plains.
"How far is it to the temple?" Zeb asked Sabine as he turned to her.
"You don't want to know!" She answered as she turned to him.
"Hold tight!" Satele told everyone as they all soon phased through the ground as they entered a Hyper tunnel.
"You want a ride?" Satele and the others heard Kanan ask Satele when they first met on Lothal five years ago as they traveled through the Hyper tunnel.
"I still cannot believe that Sabine forgot that she had a twin sister," they then heard Zeb mutter when he and Kanan met Satele all those years ago on Lothal after Satele boarded the Ghost for the first time and after Sabine remembered her after not seeing her for 11 years.
"See you around, Satele," they heard Kanan tell Satele after they were introduced to each other when he was climbing up to the Ghost's cockpit.
"I lost my way for a long time but now, I have a chance to change things," they then heard Kanan say when he spoke to Yoda, the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order during the Clone Wars when Satele received her first Kyber crystal from the Jedi temple on Lothal.
"We have hope. Hope things can get better. And they will," they then heard Hera answer Satele after they found out that Trayvis was an Imperial spy and that Sabine was Force-Sensitive.
"That was a mistake," they heard Kanan say when he thought the Grand Inquisitor killed Satele when they were rescuing him from Tarkin's Star Destroyer, the Sovereign, four years ago, but earned her scars on her right cheek instead.
"Why? Because you have no one left to die for you?" They then heard the Grand Inquisitor ask Kanan after he thought that he killed Satele aboard the Sovereign's reactor core.
"No, you're wrong, I'd have her sister to train but it's also because I have nothing left to fear," they heard Kanan tell the Grand Inquisitor as he held both Satele's first lightsaber as well as his own in his hands in the lightsaber combat form known as Jar'Kai.
"This is a new day, a new beginning…" they heard Ahsoka say when they all but Hera and Janus just met her after saving Kanan when he reunited with her from when they trained together at the Jedi temple on Coruscant before they all but Janus joined Phoenix Squadron.
"There's a cost for any action we take now, Satele. Things are getting worse just as they did when I was around your and Sabine's age. But back then, there were 10,000 Jedi Knights protecting the galaxy. Now…" They heard Kanan tell Satele after they all but Janus failed to escort Minister Tua off Lothal and after the Empire burned down Tarkintown when they stood near the Lothal resettlement camp.
"There's just you, me and Sabine," they heard Satele finish for Kanan and with that, they soon jumped out of the Hyper tunnel.
Hera moved her goggles off of her eyes and placed them back onto her forehead and over her headdress as Lothal's sun shined over her eyes as she moved her right hand in front of her eyes to block out the sun as she and the others regained consciousness as they saw that it was morning before seeing Satele standing next to the White Loth-Wolf on a cliff in front of them as they climbed off of the Loth-Wolves they were on top of as Chopper grunted.
"Hey, did you two hear those voices?" Sabine asked Zeb and Janus as they walked away from the Loth-Wolves that they were riding on.
"Yeah, I did, Sabine," Janus answered.
"I have no idea what just happened," Zeb said as the Loth-Wolf that had Chopper in their mouth let go of the astromech droid before he rolled with the others as they approached Satele and the White Loth-Wolf on the cliff.
"They say the temple is not far from here, just a bit to the north," Satele told her sister, boyfriend Hera and Zeb, "But we'll have to walk the rest of the way."
"Satele, how do they do that?" Hera asked her.
"I don't know," she answered as she placed her right hand on the white Loth-Wolf's muzzle as the Loth-Wolf walked away from them, "Kanan said they're deeply connected to the Force."
"I'm just glad they're on our side," Zeb told her.
"They're on Lothal's side," Satele corrected him.
"Is there a difference, Teal'ika," Janus asked her.
"Let's hope not," Satele told him as the Loth-Wolves walked away, "We should get moving."
A while later, Satele and the others reached a cliff above what was the Jedi temple with Satele leading them as it was now dark out and saw that it had been turned into an excavation site like what Darth Revan and Darth Malak's Sith Empire did to the Valley of the Dark Lords on Moraband 3,959 years ago during the Jedi Civil War.
"This is no military operation," Sabine stated as she placed a pair of macrobinoculars over her eyes and saw Rodians that were part of the Mining Guild as they were wearing the uniforms of Mining Guild personnel and were searching through containers on a table, "What are they searching for?"
"Let me take a look, Sis," Satele told Sabine as she handed her the pair of macrobinoculars and placed them over her eyes, "Wait, the doors, they're both gone. And it looks like one of them has been cut right off the surface."
"Is this really the temple?" Janus asked his girlfriend with disbelief in his voice, "It looks like solid rock."
"We're in the right place," Satele confirmed as she removed the pair of macrobinoculars from her eyes, "It must have sealed itself off."
"Any idea what the Empire wants?" Hera asked her.
"No," Satele answered, "But my and Sabine's distant ancestor, Revan said something about the Emperor being somewhat involved with this operation."
"The Emperor is involved with this somehow?" Hera said with shock in her voice, "How much is he involved?"
"He didn't say how much, Hera, just that he has ordered the Jedi temple to be excavated," Satele answered.
"Well, anyway, they've uncovered a lot more artwork," Sabine stated, "Maybe Satele and I can figure it out if we can get a closer look."
"Agreed. You, Satele and Janus go, we'll keep watch from up here," Hera told the three Mandalorians.
"Look!" Zeb said as he saw three scout troopers riding speeder bikes out from the excavation site, "You're gonna need a disguise."
"Identify yourself!" One of the female scout troopers ordered as she and the other two scout troopers stopped their speeder bikes and stood up as a hologram of Thrawn with his arms behind his back appeared in front of them before they pulled out their scout trooper blaster pistols and aimed them at the hologram of the Chiss Grand Admiral.
"You misunderstand, Captain, I am not accepting surrenders at this time. Now let us proceed," the hologram of Thrawn said, repeating what Thrawn told Hera and the other rebel leaders, shortly before the Battle of Atollon as he turned around towards them.
"What?" The scout trooper said with confusion in her voice as Zeb knocked her male partner out as he held his helmet in his right hand and unconscious body under his left arm as Janus appeared behind the other female scout trooper and fired a stun blast at her with one of his WESTAR-35s as Zeb knocked the other female scout trooper out as well as he punched her in the helmet, while Chopper appeared from behind a rock and deactivated his holoprojector, causing the hologram of the Grand Admiral to disappear before he grunted a laugh.
A while later, Satele, Sabine and Janus removed their Beskar plates from their undersuits and placed the scout troopers' armor over them before placing their helmets over their heads as well and flipped down their visors before hopping on the scout troopers' speeder bikes as they sped away to the excavation site on them, while Hera, Zeb and Chopper went back towards their hiding place and placed the pair of macrobinoculars over her eyes as Satele, Sabine and Janus reached the inside of the excavation site of the Jedi temple.
Satele, Sabine and Janus soon parked the speeder bikes they were riding next to two speeder bikes that were parked as they entered the excavation site of the Jedi temple as they passed by the Mining Guild Rodian personnel and hopped off of the speeder bikes.
"Well, they're definitely on to something," Sabine told her sister and Janus as they walked past one of the Mining Guild Rodian personnel and turned to one of the artworks that the Empire had uncovered.
"Sabine, Satele, have either of you seen these paintings before?" Janus asked the twins as he looked at them.
"Yeah, I have, Jan'ika," Satele answered as she looked at her boyfriend for a second before turning back towards the artwork that they were looking at, "Anyway, there's a language here. Not…" she then flipped the visor of her scout trooper's helmet up as she crouched in front of the artwork as she placed her left hand on the side of it, "Not much in words, but pictures."
"I see the same thing, Sat," Sabine said, agreeing with her twin sister.
"Trooper!" They suddenly heard a masculine voice call out to them before Satele flipped the visor of her scout trooper's helmet back down as they turned around to see an elderly man with light skin, blue eyes and gray hair, wearing a dark colored headgear and robes as he walked towards the three Mandalorians with two Death Troopers weilding E-11D blaster carbines on both of his sides, "Get away from there at once!" He then walked over to the artwork as he crouched towards it, "I've said it before, none of you are to touch the artifacts!" He then stood back up as he turned back around to face them, "The tiniest blemish could erase evidence which is critical to understanding the gateway!"
"Gateway?" Satele said with confusion in her voice before correcting herself, "I mean, yes, sir, sorry, sir."
"Minister, Coruscant is contacting you," one of the Death Troopers told the man that the three Mandalorians now knew was a minister.
"This conduct reflects poorly on you, Commander," the minister told him as he walked away from him with the other Death Trooper.
"Yes, Minister," the Death Trooper said before turning to the three Mandalorians, "All right, you three, numbers and clearance codes, now!"
Sabine then flipped the visor of her scout trooper's helmet up before waving her right hand in front of the Death Trooper, "You don't need our numbers and clearance."
"I don't need your number and clearance," the Death Trooper said, repeating what she said as her Jedi Mind Trick wrecked on him.
"You're going to forget you ever saw us," Sabine added as she flipped the visor of her scout trooper's helmet back down as she, Satele and Janus walked past him.
"That was a close one," Zeb remarked as he watched Sabine, Satele and Janus walk away from the Death Trooper and saw the minister walking with the other Death Trooper with the pair of macrobinoculars before handing them to Hera, "Who's the old man?"
"I don't know," she answered as she removed the pair of macrobinoculars from her eyes after using them to see who the minister was but couldn't find out who he was, "I've never seen an Imperial like him."
"Chopper, I need you to reroute the incoming Imperial transmission," Sabine said, contacting Chopper as she, Sabine and Janus walked behind the building that the minister and other Death Trooper walked into as the three Mandalorians flipped their scout troopers' helmets visors before Chopper grunted a response as he activated his transmitter as it began to spin around in a circle.
"Me and CT-5597 have both made some remarkable discoveries, my Emperor," they heard the minister say as Chopper rerouted the transmission so they could hear it.
"We must discover the secrets of the temple for even now our enemies move against us," they heard the voice of Palpatine say as the minister was speaking with him, causing them all to widen their eyes in horror.
"We have reached the roots of the temple and found some fascinating work," the minister told a hologram of Palpatine as he was being projected from a holoprojector in the room as he sat in front of him with his legs folded with holographic images of paintings surrounding the room as well, including one that looked like a mural that had an elderly and ancient human male, who had blue eyes with a black sclera, white long flowing beard and smooth gray skin, a younger human male that was bald with white skin that had red markings that went down from the back of his head along with from the bottom of his eyes and down his cheeks with red eyes and black sclera surrounding his eyes standing next to the man that looked ancient with a young woman with pale skin, green hair and eyes with a Convor standing on her right shoulder as she stood next to the man that looked ancient on the other side of the young man with their hands in the gestures similar to those that the stone plaque that Revan gave Satele and Janus had on top of it, "The symbols and iconography are reminiscent of a report I discovered in the Jedi archives."
"The Mortis Gods?" Palpatine asked him.
"Yes, they are key to unlocking the temple, I am sure of it," the minister confirmed.
"There has been a great disturbance in the Force," Palpatine told him, "The death of Kanan Jarrus has altered the fate of Lothal, though how I cannot say."
"Perhaps access to the temple will provide some clarity, my Lord," the minister suggested.
"We must seize the power within, a conduit between the living and dead," Palpatine said, agreeing with him, "Proceed along with ARC Commander Jesse, Minister Hydan."
"Hera, did you hear?" Sabine asked Hera as she contacted her with the wrist communicator of the scout trooper armor she was wearing over her undersuit, "What should we do?"
"I don't like it. It seems that your and Satele's ancestor, Revan, was right about the Emperor being involved, it's too dangerous, we should fall back," Hera answered with her comlink as she held it in her hand.
"No, because of the Emperor, we have to get involved," Satele argued, "We can't let him enter the temple."
"The Emperor reminds me of Vader when Satele and Sabine both encountered him along with the rest of you here on Lothal with Kanan four years ago after the Empire had Minister Tua assassinated for trying to defect to the rebellion and when they faced him on Malachor three years ago," Janus told Hera, "I agree with Satele, we have to get involved otherwise the Emperor will use the temple for an evil purpose that could lead to destruction."
"And they'll crack the code," Sabine added, "It's only a matter of time."
"Hera. Remember why we came here," Zeb told Hera as she was still unsure if they should get involved even with the Empire being involved with the excavation of the Jedi temple or not when she suddenly remembered a memory of Kanan from before he, Satele and Sabine went to Malachor with Ahsoka as she felt his left hand touching her right shoulder and touched his left hand in return with her left hand, making her feel at home as Zeb looked at her with confusion.
"Go, we'll keep watch," Hera relented as she reactivated her comlink, "But I want the three of you out of there if I give the order."
"Absolutely," Sabine said from Hera's comlink.
"Yeah, we'll leave if you order us to," Janus assured the Twi'lek from her comlink.
"Thanks, Hera," Satele replied on the Twi'lek's comlink, "Let's go Sis, you two, Jan'ika."
"They'll be fine," Zeb assured Hera, "The three of them are Mandalorians after all."
"I used to always believe that," Hera told him as she placed her left hand back over her right shoulder.
"Attention. There is a safety hazard zone in standing 25 meters from the temple. Special teams are exempt and look out for static charges," they heard a masculine voice say within the excavation site of the Jedi temple, "All operational departments signal by beeping twice."
"We are close to our goal. Move the drill into first position. Everyone double shifts, through the night. Mind your assignments and stay within your designation areas," Hydan told the stormtroopers, scout troopers and Death Troopers, including Satele, Sabine and Janus as they stood behind him with the visors of their scout trooper helmets flipped back down as the Death Trooper that was with him walked next to him as a clone that was fit and in shape with gray hair in the style of a military haircut and beard along with a large tattoo of the Imperial insignia over the left side of his face and one quarter of the right side of his face with his hair covering one quarter of his tattoo on the left side of his face wearing Phase II ARC trooper armor with some of it being painted blue with a double pauldron with the right side of the pauldron being colored blue and had ammunition pouches attached to it, Kamas and survival packs over his hips with his armor's shoulders, arms and legs being updated as he held his helmet, which had a macrobinocular viewplate's rangefinder attached to it and the Imperial insignia over the part of the helmet where the forehead would be and this was none other than ARC Commander Jesse standing next to him, "Turn the flood lights on!" With that said, the excavation site's spotlights turned on as the wall in front of them revealed to depict that it had the mural depicting the Mortis Gods on it.
"Whoa," Sabine muttered with amazement in her voice before speaking to her twin sister, "You ever seen anything like this before, Sis?"
"Is that a mural?" Janus asked them.
"It is, Jan'ika," Satele said, confirming Janus' suspicions before turning to her sister, "No, I haven't, Sis, but as you know from the time you and Ahsoka and went with me and Kanan to the temple a few weeks before we went to Malachor that this temple always has secrets."
"Lord Hydan, Commander Jesse we have discovered more symbols," one of the Mining Guild Trandosion personnel said, walking up to Hydan and the clone.
"Show us," Hydan requested as he and Jesse walked away to the symbols with everyone but the three Mandalorians walking away from the mural.
"Can either of you make anything out of it?" Janus asked the twins as the three of them stared at the mural depicting the Mortis Gods.
"Mmm, we think so," Sabine answered as she and Satele both shared a look before she flipped the visor of her scout trooper's helmet up, "Very old, very intricate."
"And I've seen a bird like that before," Satele added as she pointed at the convor sitting on the young woman's shoulder with her left hand's index finger as she flipped the visor of her scout trooper's helmet with Janus doing the same with the visor of his scout trooper helmet as well, "Whenever Ahsoka visited us on Atollon, it was always nearby." She then crossed her arms before she noticed Loth-Wolves on the side of the mural, "Look, Loth-wolves." Sabine saw the Loth-Wolves as well and projected a hologram of the stone plaque from the Jedi temple, "The stone that Tarre Vizsla gave us…"
"Yeah, I thought we would need to refer to it, Sat," Sabine confirmed before gasping as she realized that the gestures on the stone plaque were the same as the ones on the mural, "Look! The hands," she then stood back up as she powered the holoprojector back off, "They're the same on the figures as the ones here on the stone."
"And that means something?" Janus asked them.
"Janus, it's art, everything has a meaning," Satele told her boyfriend before examining the hand positions of the Mortis Gods on the mural, "I think this is it."
"What?" Sabine and Janus both asked at the same time.
"The painting is like a star map, but none that we're familiar with," Satele explained, "Those lines are like paths and the rings are planets or… or doorways."
"I see it now," Sabine said as she realized what her sister was getting at.
"OK, but which one leads into the temple," Janus asked them.
"We're about to find out," Sabine answered.
"So, how do we open this door?" Janus asked them.
"OK, look here. The hands represent different configurations," Sabine answered as she powered the holoprojector with the stone plaque from the Jedi temple back on, causing Janus to stare from the projector back to the hands of the Mortis Gods, "Right now it looks like the painting is lined up with the central figure." She then gasped as she pointed at the hand with its fingers spread out on the hologram of the stone plaque, "I think we want this one, where the lines are together."
"Great, what happens then?" Janus asked her.
"Well, I don't know," Sabine answered as she powered the holoprojector with the stone plaque from the Jedi temple on it back off before turning to her sister, "It's your turn now, Sat, now do our thing."
"Right," Satele said before turning to her with confusion, "Wait, what thing, Bine?"
"The thing we along with Kanan used to open the temple when we came here with Ahsoka," Sabine answered.
Meanwhile with Hydan and Jesse as the Mining Guild Trandosian was showing them the symbols that he and the other Mining Guild personnel had found as Jesse noticed that Satele, Sabine and Janus were standing in front of the Mural of the Mortis Gods and placed his helmet over his head before he flipped down his helmet's macrobinocular viewplate's rangefinder and saw the three Mandalorians in front of the mural of the Mortis Gods.
"Rebels!" Jesse muttered to himself before turning to two of the Death Troopers with Hydan, "DT-5555, DT-5999, come with me, you two. And don't let them escape, I want them alive."
"Yes, ARC Commander Jesse," the two Death Troopers both said at the same time as they began walking towards Satele, Sabine and Janus.
"Hurry, Sat," Sabine told her sister as she and Janus heard Death Trooper chatter and walking towards them with Jesse as Satele walked towards the mural and rubbed her hands together before moving her hands towards the mural.
"You can't rush these things, Bine!" Satele told her sister as she placed her left hand onto the hand of the young woman and closed her eyes as she began to rotate her hand around to match the direction the hand that the young woman's hand was pointing in as Sabine and Janus watched as a stormtrooper ordered one of the Mining Guild Rodian personnel to move away from them after showing them an artifact that they've uncovered.
"Get down, Teal'ika!" Janus ordered his girlfriend as he and Sabine flipped the visors of their scout trooper helmets back down before Satele reopened her eyes and leaned between the rocks below the mural.
"ST-515, ST-709, why aren't you both on patrol?" DT-5555 asked Sabine and Janus as they approached them with Jesse behind them.
"We thought we saw something moving over here but, um it was just the shadows," Sabine answered, pretending to be ST-515.
"She's right, there was nothing there and it was just the shadows," Janus said, agreeing with Sabine as he pretended to be ST-709.
"That's a restricted area," DT-5555 told them.
"They're not scout troopers, Commander," Jesse informed the Death Trooper as he walked past him, causing both Sabine and Janus to gasp in shock as they saw him, "They're rebels trying to infiltrate our operation by disguising themselves as scout troopers."
"Rex told us that you along with the 332nd Company perished on the Venator called the Tribunal after it left Mandalore with Maul in custody after the Siege of Mandalore and when Order 66 was executed when the Venator crashed into a moon," Sabine told the clone with confusion in her voice on how he was still alive and not dead.
"The stone… Listen to the stone and its story," Satele muttered to herself as she looked up at the elderly man on the mural.
"I was the only survivor of the crash," Jesse stated as he chuckled and removed his helmet before placing it on the ground next to him.
Janus then yelled as he rushed towards Jesse as he went to punch the clone, only for Jesse to knee him in the stomach a couple of times as the Mandalorians pounded him on the back, causing him to grunt with pain in his voice before kicking him away from him as his scout trooper's helmet was knocked off his head Sabine rushed towards him as she went to kick him, only for the clone to knee her in the stomach a couple of times like he did with Janus as well before kicking her away from him as her scout trooper's helmet was knocked off of her head as well before she grunted with pain in her voice like Janus did as well.
"DT-5555 and DT-9999, take them to Minister Hydan," Jesse ordered the two Death Troopers before turning to Janus, "And I will be seeing you very shortly."
"Yes, ARC Commander Jesse," both Death Troopers replied at the same time as they picked both Mandalorians up as they began to escort them away from the mural as Satele stood back up as Jesse walked away from Sabine, Janus and the Death Troopers as he went to search for the other rebels.
"Listen… Kanan said to listen," Satele muttered to herself as she closed her eyes and rotated her left hand around in the same direction that the young woman's hand was pointing at before reopening her eyes again as the circle around the hand on the mural turned gold as the lines and circles on the mural lined up with one another before every line and circle on the mural shined gold for a second.
"We are the ones who guard the power. We are the middle, the beginning and the end," the young woman on the mural said as she turned her head to the other two figures on the mural as the figure of the elderly man closed most of his hand's fingers and his thumb except for its index finger and moved his hand downwards to point at the young man's fist with his index finger as the Loth-Wolves on the mural came to life and howled as they began walking across the mural to her right side as she flipped the visor of her scout trooper's helmet back down as she went to follow them.
"Sabine and Janus are going with the troopers," Hera reported to Zeb as she removed the pair of macrobinoculars from her eyes as she saw both Sabine and Janus walking with the two Death Troopers as they were escorting both Mandalorians.
"Have they found them out?" Zeb asked her.
"I think so…" Hera answered.
"Then we have to rescue them," Zeb told her, "But, we'll need a plan first, so what about Satele?"
"I can't tell," Hera answered as she placed the pair of macrobinoculars back over her eyes, "She went into the shadows, but I think…"
"What?" Zeb asked her.
"I think the paintings moved?" She answered with disbelief in her voice as she removed the pair of macrobinoculars from her eyes again.
"All right, hand those over," Zeb told her as he took the pair of macrobinoculars from her and placed them over his eyes, "You've been staring through them too long."
As Satele continued to follow the Loth-Wolves, she flipped the visor of her scout trooper's helmet back up again as the Loth-Wolves howled as they began to form a circle as they ran towards one another within the circle as she removed the scout trooper helmet from her head before letting go of it as it fell to the floor, "This is it."
"Uh, what have we here?" Hydan asked the two Death Troopers that were approaching him with Sabine and Janus captive after inspecting an artifact that one of the Mining Guild Rodian personnel found as they held a datapad in their hands.
"Minister, ARC Commander Jesse has discovered that these two troopers were rebels in diguise and infiltrating our operation," DT-5555 replied.
"Indeed," Hydan said as he walked up to both Mandalorians, "Who are you two and where is your friend?" They didn't answer him as they didn't want to tell him that Satele wasn't just their friend but her sister and his boyfriend as well and didn't want to put her in danger as they kept quiet before stepping away from them as he placed his arms behind his back, "Restrain them! Lock down the perimeter. Order all units to report in, we have another imposter loose on site!"
"Gotta move!" Hera told Zeb and Chopper as the excavation site's alarms went off and walked away from their hiding spot before the flood lights could spot them.
Satele placed her left hand on the wall around the circle before her hand phased through the wall before pulling it back out, causing an electrical shock to go through her left arm from the wall as she realized that it was a portal.
"Intruder in sector three grid two," she suddenly heard a masculine voice say from the excavation site's intercom as one of the flood lights shined over her.
"There she is!" One of the stormtroopers said as he approached her, aiming his E-11 blaster rifle at her as two of the Death Troopers that were at the excavation site, aimed their E-11D blaster carbine at her as well as the other stormtroopers surrounding her, aiming their E-11 blaster rifles at her as well as Hydan walked towards her with DT-5555 and DT-5999 behind him as they still had Sabine and Janus in their custody.
"The gateway!" Hydan exclaimed, happily as he saw the portal on the wall.
"Go, Satele!" Sabine and Janus both ordered Satele at the same time.
"Stop her!" Hydan ordered the stormtroopers as Satele jumped through the portal and as the stormtroopers approached the portal as it stopped rotating.
"Huh?" Two of the stormtroopers said with confusion in their voices before they charged towards it, causing them to fall to the ground after hitting hard solid rock, causing Sabine and Janus to both widen their eyes with shock, fearing that they unintentionally trapped Satele within the portal and sent her to her death.
