Back at the rebel base, Wolffe and Hunter slowly began to regain consciousness as the White Loth-Wolf licked Mart's face as he also regained consciousness and saw the White Loth-Wolf staring at him, which freaked him out as he backed away, stammering, "Wolf!"
"What?" Wolffe groaned as he fully regained consciousness as Mart stood up.
"What did you mean by Wolf?" Hunter asked Mart as he fully regained consciousness as well.
"No, I mean… not you, Wolffe," Mart told them as Loth-Wolves surrounded them as Wolffe and Hunter stood up, "Look."
"Hey, Vizago, Jai, Howzer, Khan and Spinner, get up!" Wolffe ordered Vizago and his fellow clone brothers as he noticed that they were still sleeping.
"What's happened now?" Vizago asked as he woke up and sat up with Jai, Howzer, Khan and Spinner doing the same.
"Yeah, what happened?" Spinner said, agreeing with Vizago.
"He has a point, what happened?" Khan asked, agreeing with Vizago and Spinner.
"I remembered what happened," Howzer told everyone.
"I remember what happened as well," Jai said, agreeing with Howzer.
"We were ambushed by that creature and that Inquisitor," Wolffe answered as he sighed, "Thrawn's pet and Starkiller. Without the help of our friends here, we'd have been gonners."
"Speaking of gone, the last gunship is missing!" Mart realized as he noticed that the last Imperial patrol transport that was with them was gone and that Rukh and Starkiller had hijacked it when they attacked them earlier and freed the Purge Troopers and escaped with them, causing Howzer, Khan and Spinner to look at where the Imperial patrol transport should be with shock.
"They're gonna warn Thrawn about our attack!" Wolffe stated.
"They probably already warned him, Wolffe," Jai told him.
"Those sons of banthas!" Hunter yelled with anger as he pounded his right fist into the palm of his left hand.
"Hunter, calm down, this is where Satele's secret mission for me and Mart comes in," Jai told the genetic defective clone.
"Yeah, and it's just like what Satele said," Mart muttered to himself, agreeing with Jai as Vizago, Howzer and his lieutenants stood back up before running towards the Ghost, "Come on!"
"Hunter, stay here, we'll signal you once we complete Satele's secret mission for us," Jai told Hunter before following Mart towards the Ghost.
"All right, I'll wait for you guys to signal me," Hunter said as he shrugged as Wolffe, Vizago, Howzer, Khan and Spinner followed Mart and Jai into the Ghost.
"Wait, what does that mean?" Wolffe asked as he, Vizago, Howzer, Khan and Spinner followed Mart and Jai into the Ghost's cockpit as Mart sat in the pilot's seat and Jai sitting in the co-pilot's seat, "What do you mean, 'it's like what Satele said', Mart?"
"Yeah, what did you mean by that?" Howzer said, agreeing with Wolffe.
"Satele told me and Mart that there was a chance Thrawn would get back to the Capital before they finished their plan, and if it looked like that was the case, she gave us a special mission," Jai explained as Mart powered the Ghost up as it lifted off of the ground as the Loth-Wolves followed it a bit before stopping as the Ghost flew up into the air towards Lothal's orbit, "Satele wanted us to go into high orbit around Lothal and send a signal beacon on Frequency Zero."
"Frequency Zero?" Wolffe repeated with confusion, "Nobody uses that anymore. Who are we supposed to be… Who are we supposed to be contacting?"
"Yeah, who are we supposed to be contacting if nobody uses Frequency Zero anymore?" Khan asked, agreeing with Wolffe.
"They have a point," Spinner said, agreeing with Wolffe and Khan, "If nobody uses that frequency anymore, who are we supposed to be contacting?"
"Not sure it's a who, more like a what, and if we told either of you what, well, that's the part you might not believe," Mart told them, causing Wolffe, Howzer, his lieutenants and Vizago to all look at each other with confusion.
As the stormtroopers and stormtrooper with an orange pauldron were planting a thermal detonator on the door to the command center in the Imperial Complex, Melch jumped down from a ventilation shaft behind them with an E-11 blaster rifle in his hands and fired it at one of the stormtroopers as they turned around, knocking one of the stormtroopers out before running away as two of the stormtroopers began to chase him.
"Blast him!" The stormtrooper with an orange pauldron ordered the other stormtroopers, who began to fire their E-11 blaster rifles at Melch as they chased him, while the door behind him slid open, revealing Zeb, Hondo, Gregor, Hera and Janus standing in the doorway before Zeb punched the stormtrooper with the orange pauldron in the helmet, knocking him out as Hera aimed her blaster rifle at him with Hondo and Gregor wielding E-11 blaster rifles in their hands.
"Works every time," Zeb said as he chuckled.
"Of course it worked, my friends. Just look at Melch. He's positively magnetic!" Hondo said, placing his right hand over Zeb's left shoulder as they saw Melch knock the remaining stormtroopers out across the hall.
"I'm sure you've got a special relationship, Hondo, but we're kind of on a mission here. We've gotta get that shield over the planet," Hera told Hondo after placing her right hand over his left shoulder as they walked away from the door as it closed itself.
"Rex, Hondo, Ketsu, Janus and Crosshair, you take the north tower. Zeb, Kallus, Gregor, Cody Lyste, Omega, Wrecker, Jesse and Appo, you take the south," Tech ordered everyone, "I'll talk you through it from here."
"Let's go, Rebels," Zeb said as he stood in front of the doorway before it slid open as he ran out of the room with everyone else except for Hera, Janus and Tech.
"What is it, Hera?" Janus asked the Twi'lek.
"I just hope Satele and Sabine…" Hera began to say.
"They'll be fine, they're both Mandalorians, like me after all and were trained by their mother and the countess of our clan when they were children," Janus assured Hera with a smile before leaving the command center to join the team that Tech assigned him to.
"That will be all, Grand Admiral," Palpatine told Thrawn and with that, the Chiss Grand Admiral bowed before he walked out of the room as Palpatine spoke to the Mandalorian twins, "I apologize for not being there, but governing the galaxy takes up much of my time."
"We know who you are and what you are," Satele stated, "You're Emperor Sheev Palpatine."
"And you're a dar'jetti or a Sith Lord in basic," Sabine added.
"And how do you know that, Sabine?" Palpatine asked her with a calm and surprised tone in his voice.
"Because our ancestor, Revan told Satele a month ago," Sabine answered.
"As if either of you could speak to the dead," Palpatine said, dismissing Sabine's claim, "You both misudge me. Can the both of you not see the opportunity that stands before the two of you."
"We see a part of the Jedi temple, which you stole from Lothal," Satele told him.
"And by doing so you destroyed a part of the history and culture of the Jedi," Sabine added with distaste in her voice.
"Well, I did it to show the galaxy once again that the Jedi are traitors and should be dealt with," Palpatine explained in a shocked and mockingly tone as he smiled at her.
"You're wrong, the Jedi would never betray the Republic!" Sabine argued, "Their job was to protect the citizens of the Republic, not to serve the Senate."
"Anyway, I had this portion of the temple moved here stone by stone for the two of you," Palpatine told them, "Forgive me, but I thought you both would thank me for this effort."
"Thank you?" Satele said with anger and disbelief in her voice, "Thank you for destroying the temple? Thank you for imprisoning Lothal? Thank you for occupying Mandalore? For killing Mira and Ephraim Bridger?"
"Why would I thank you for causing me to create the weapon that disintegrates Beskar, the core and tradition of our people back when I was a loyal student at the Imperial Academy?" Sabine asked Palpatine with anger in her voice as well.
"My dear girls, it's you who chose to destroy the temple, Satele, and it was you who chose to experiment with Beskar for your weapon when you were a loyal student at the Imperial Academy, Sabine," he told them, "The actions of your boyfriend, Satele, as well as your rebel friends require a firm hand to ensure that there is order on Lothal. Anyways, allow me to show you both what might have been, and yet what yet may be if neither of you were born Force-Sensitive." He then gestured them to enter the temple before him, to which they did as they walked past him into the entrance of a corridor of the temple with a bright light at the end of the entrance.
"Sabine, Satele, training is about to begin," Sabine and Satele heard Tristan calling their names from the bright light at the end of the corridor and saw that the surroundings within the bright light looked like one of the training rooms within the Wren Stronghold on Krownest with their brother, mother and father standing within the doorway, "Sabine? Satele?"
"They're waiting for you both," Palpatine told them, "Go to them. Open the door. This is what you both want, isn't it? The life you both deserved."
"But it can't be," Satele said with disbelief.
"Where are they?" They heard Ursa ask Tristan and Alrich.
"She's right, we can't choose a life where we were never Force-Sensitive," Sabine said, agreeing with her twin sister.
"Yes, you both can, but you both must choose to make it so," Palpatine told them.
"I'll go find them," they heard Alrich tell Ursa and Tristan.
"There's Thrawn's office," Echo said as he approached Thrawn's office and entered the Chiss Grand Admiral's office, "I hope that Yularen was correct and that Cade's okay."
Echo looked around the art collection in Thrawn's office before he rushed over to the desk in the office as he plugged his cybernetic right socket-arm into an astromech port around Thrawn's desk as he began to search for files hidden inside Thrawn's database.
"Don't worry, commander, you'll be alright," Echo muttered to himself before finding the file within Thrawn's database that he was searching for before reading the file's name, "Cade Skywalker. Now to find him." A few more seconds of searching through Thrawn's database, Echo found where Cade was being kept, "There you are, commander."
With that said, Echo began searching through Thrawn's storage vault for the location of the file that he found and within seconds of searching through the Chiss Grand Admiral's storage vault, he found someone frozen in carbonite with wavy hair with their hair over the right side of their face and was wearing an experimental armor, who Echo recognized as Cade Skywalker, Anakin Skywalker's half-brother.
"Commander Skywalker, thank the Force, he's okay," Echo said with a smile before activating the panel on the side of the carbonite slab, causing the carbonite to unfreeze as a fair skinned man with brown hair and blue eyes fell out of the carbonite slab and groaned as he landed on the floor, "I've got you, Commander."
Rex fired a blaster bolt from the E-11 blaster rifle he was carrying at an Imperial technician that was standing around a diagnostic and control console, killing the Imperial technician with Janus doing the same with his WESTAR-35s as Crosshair also did the same with his modified 773 Firepuncher sniper rifle with its scope over his right eye as he flipped his helmet's macrobinoacular viewplate's rangefinder down before the three of them entered one of the power generator rooms with Ketsu and Hondo.
"Base, this is Team A," Ketsu said, activating her comlink as Rex, Janus and Crosshair fired their blasters at Imperials above them, "We're in."
"Copy that, Team A," Tech responded from the communication center's computer system with Ryder walking towards him from Pryce.
"What does it look like down there?" Tech asked on Ketsu's comlink.
"Oh… It's just great," Ketsu remarked, sarcastically as she, Rex, Janus, Crosshair and Hondo hid behind the diagnostic and control consoles, "I really wish you could help us from here."
Rukh, the Purge Troopers, Arrow, Shield, Taser and Stark all entered the power generator room with Arrow and Taser on the other side of the power generator room as she said that before Rukh fired his electro-staff's rifle at them.
"Rebels! Get them!" Stark ordered as he and Shield fired their DC-15A blaster rifles at the rebels.
"Our problems are multiplying. We could really use some help down here as we have company," Rex said as he used his comlink.
"Team B, where are you?" Hera asked with her comlink as she stared at the Imperial Complex's schematics.
"We're heading for section GL-44, but you know that plan we had to trap all these stormtroopers in the dome?" Zeb asked Hera with his comlink as he, Kallus, Gregor, Cody, Lyste, Omega, Wrecker, Jesse and Appo fired their weapons at the stormtroopers with Gregor firing an E-11 blaster rifle at them as Kallus fired his bo-rifle at them, while Cody fired his DC-15A blaster rifle as Wrecker fired his DC-17m Repeating Blaster Rifle, while Jesse and Appo fired a pair of DC-17s at them before they began running away from the stormtroopers, "It just occurred to me, we're trapped with all these stormtroopers in this dome!"
"We got it, Captain Orrelios," Tech told him before turning to Ryder, "Ryder, close blast door 58-58."
"You should have a clear path to the shield generator now," Tech said on the comlinks of Zeb, Kallus, Gregor, Cody, Lyste, Omega, Wrecker, Jesse and Appo as the blast doors in front of them sealed shut after they evaded the stormtroopers and evaded their blaster bolts before they soon ran into the power generator room and on the other side from where Rex, Crosshair, Janus, Ketsu and Hondo were hiding behind diagnostic and control consoles as Omega grabbed her Zygerrian energy bow from her back as she hid behind one of the other diagnostic and control consoles and fired an energy bolt at an Imperial technician with Crosshair getting out of his hiding spot and fired a blaster bolt from his modified 773 firepuncher sniper rifle at Imperial technicians as well, while Arrow and Taser appeared out of nowhere as they grabbed their electrostaffs from their backs and extended them and stared at Zeb and Wrecker.
Zeb and Wrecker then noticed the two Purge Troopers with electrostaffs as Zeb grabbed his bo-rifle from his back and activated its electrostaff feature before Zeb and Wrecker ran towards Taser and Arrow as Zeb began to clash his bo-rifle with Taser's electrostaff, while Wrecker began punching Arrow as the Purge Trooper placed his electrostaff back behind his back as they began to fight with their fists.
"I got your back, Brother," Jesse told Appo as they were watching each other's backs as they were firing their DC-17 blaster pistols at the Death Troopers.
"Thanks, Brother," Appo replied before they saw the Imperial technicians across from them, firing upon the others before the others fired upon the Imperial technicians, causing one of them to fall off the platform they were standing on.
"Rex, we need those towers back online!" Tech said, contacting Rex.
This caused Rex to get up and began firing upon stormtroopers as he walked over to another diagnostic and control console and hid behind it as he saw the lever to switch the shield generator back on was across from the platform that he was on and that the bridge to the tower wasn't extended outwards and couldn't reach the tower.
"I can't reach the control panel," Rex told Tech, "You've got to extend the bridges."
Chopper grunted as he plugged his scomp link into the astromech port at the computer console near Tech, only for him to be electrocuted and flown backwards.
"Ugh. Chopper's been fried. The circuit was protected," Tech reported to Rex.
"Great," Rex remarked, sarcastically on the communications systems, "Now what?"
"Find an override panel," Tech answered, "We should be able to do it manually from there."
"Any idea?" Rex asked Kestu and Cody.
"Yeah, but I'm gonna stay anyway," Ketsu answered as Rex got up and began firing at the Imperials.
"Me too, but I'm gonna help by firing at the Imperials," Cody said, agreeing with Ketsu as he began firing his DC-15A blaster rifle at the Imperials.
"Sabine, Satele, you'll both be late for training practice," Sabine and Satele heard their mother say as they along with Palpatine walked towards the doorway that showed the world where Sabine and Satele were never Force-Sensitive.
"The gateway will not be open forever," Palpatine told them, "Go now, before it's too late."
"No. This is a lie," Sabine stated.
"And we would have always joined the Rebellion even if we weren't Force-Sensitive," Satele added.
"Your mother's right, girls, you'll both be late for your training," Sabine and Satele heard their father say from the doorway that showed the world where they were never Force-Sensitive before they saw Tristan nod.
"Got it!" Ketsu announced as she clicked a couple of buttons on the console in front of her with the bridge that leads to the main power converter's tower extending forward as Zeb and Wrecker with Zeb knocking Taser's electrostaff out of his hands before he zapped him in the chest with his bo-rifle, knocking him unconscious as Wrecker punched Arrow in the helmet and knocking him backwards as he also fell unconscious before Melch rushed into the room as he was still being chased by stormtroopers before Rex, Crosshair and Janus fired their blasters at the stormtroopers with one of Rex's blaster bolts hitting the helmet as Melch fired an E-11 blaster rifle he was holding at Imperial Technicians nearby as he ran across the bridge.
"Look at him go!" Hondo exclaimed, happily before Melch was shot in the chest by stormtroopers, causing him to fall on his back, shocking everyone with Janus, Cody and everyone except Crosshair looking surprised but sad at the same time, while Crosshair looked on with respect before Cody nodded at Hondo as the Weequay pirate ran towards Melch, "No!" He then picked up Melch's blaster rifle and fired at the stormtroopers with it, killing them instantly before dropping the blaster rifle as he sat next to Melch as he moved his body, "Melch, what were you thinking? You're not a hero. You're a pirate, like me."
"Even with that bridge extended, there's just too many of them! We're gonna have to do something drastic," Gregor told Kallus, Zeb, Lyste, Omega, Wrecker, Jesse and Appo as they fired upon the Imperial Technicians across from them and with that, Zeb noticed Rukh firing his electrostaff's blaster from a corner of one of the power regulators with the two Death Troopers that he was with.
"All right, I'll do it!" Zeb announced.
"Zeb, don't!" Kallus pleaded as he saw Zeb rushing off of the platform and leaped dowards Rukh before they tumbled down below as Lyste, Omega, Wrecker, Jesse and Appo looked on with shock in their eyes.
"He's crazy!" Gregor gasped.
"Well, it was your idea. Come on!" Kallus told him as they along with Lyste, Wrecker, Jesse and Appo began rushing across a bridge of the platform they were on, firing their blaster rifles and pistols at the Imperial Technicians and knocked some of them to the ground as they shot them as everyone went towards the diagnostic and control consoles and hid behind them.
"Melch was just shot by a stormtrooper, Tech," Omega said, contacting Tech with her comlink.
"His sacrifice will not be in vain," Tech told Omega over her comlink.
Kallus then rushed over to another diagnostic and control console as one of the Imperial Technicians aimed their blaster rifle at Gregor and shot him in the chest with it, causing the clone to grab his chest as he flung the Imperial Technician off the platform.
"Gregor!" Rex and Cody called out as they saw Gregor getting shot with Cody's voice having more emotion in it than Rex did as Kallus helped Gregor to the ground.
"Get that shield up," Gregor ordered as he groaned and gasped for breath.
"So few have a choice to live the life they want. Why deny yourselves?" Palpatine asked Satele and Sabine as they continued to stare at the doorway that contained the world where Satele and Sabine were never Force-Sensitive.
"Mother? Father? Tristan?" Satele called out to her and Sabine's parents and brother as they stared at them from the doorway to the world where they were never Force-Sensitive.
"Satele?" They heard Ursa say, causing Palpatine to unlock Satele and Sabine's stuncuffs with the Force.
"There," Palpatine said before gesturing to a small hole next to Sabine, "The control for the gateway. Activate it and you both can be with your family in a world where neither of you were born Force-Sensitive."
"What about my boyfriend and our friends?" Satele asked him.
"Yeah, what will happen to them?" Sabine said, agreeing with her sister.
"If one of you opens the gateway, you both will never have been Force-Sensitive," Palpatine told them as Ursa, Alrich and Tristan stared at them through the doorway as Sabine hovered her hand over the switch for the gateway, "Go on. You both deserve this."
"Mother, Father, Tris, I promise we'll liberate Mandalore no matter the cost," Satele assured her and Sabine's parents and brother as they nodded a response.
"No!" Palpatine shouted with anger as Sabine used the Force to tear down the section of the Jedi temple that they were in.
Ursa, Alrich and Tristan smiled at nodded at Satele and Sabine as they vanished before they ran through the hologram of Palpatine as his image flickered between his unscarred visage and his true Sith appearance before they landed on their stomach as the section of the Jedi temple collapsed in n itself as they turned around and stood back up as Palpatine, who was flickering between his senatorial and Sith appearances walked out of the ruins of the temple before the flickering stopped at his Sith appearance.
"You failed, your highness. We're Jedi, like our ancestors, Tarre Vizsla, Revan, Bastila and Satele Shan before us," Sabine told Palpatine.
"So be it, Jedi," Palpatine told them as three of his royal guards rushed into the room wielding Force Pikes, "Destroy them!" Both Mandalorians began running towards the royal guards and extended their arms out as they used the Force to push them to the ground before the royal guards activated their Force Pikes and lifted both Mandalorians into the air with them, causing Satele and Sabine to strain and grunt in pain when Starkiller suddenly ran into the room with his lightsaber ignited as he used the Force to throw it at both royal guards, killing them instantly, causing Satele and Sabine to fall back down on the floor with surprised looks on their faces as he used the Force to summon his lightsaber as it landed back in his right hand.
"Starkiller?!" Sabine and Satele both said at the same time with surprise and shock in their voices.
"I've seen what the Empire is and I'm helping you both escape," Starkiller explained to them.
"Thanks for rescuing us, Starkiller," Sabine responded.
"Please, call me Galen," Starkiller told them, causing Satele to smile.
"Are you defecting from the Empire, Galen?" Satele asked him.
"Yeah, I am, Satele, as I said, I've seen what the Empire is and I'm helping both of you escape," Galen confirmed as a stormtrooper with a black colored pauldron along with two more stormtroopers rushing into the room and began firing their E-11 blaster rifles at them as Galen ignited one of his lightsaber's blades and deflect their blaster bolts at them as Satele and Sabine used the Force to throw boulders from the Jedi temple, which collided with two of the stormtroopers as Galen deflected the blaster bolts of the stormtrooper with a black pauldron with his lightsaber, killing the stormtrooper instantly.
"Can you see yet, Commander?" Echo asked Cade, who rubbed his eyes.
"Almost very nearly," Cade answered, "But how are you still alive? The last I heard, you were blown up when you were sent to rescue Master Piell with Rex, Cody, my brother and Master Kenobi."
"It's a long story, Commander," Echo told him, "But we'll tell you after we get out of here."
"Anyway, what's happened since I was frozen in carbonite, Echo?" Cade asked the clone.
"A lot of things have happened in the time since you were frozen, Commander," Echo told him, "But I'll tell you a few things that's happened. A few months after you left the Jedi Order, the chancellor of the Republic declared the Republic an Empire and made almost every clone trooper to betray the Jedi and made about every single one of them kill almost every Jedi through an order called Order 66, enslaved the Wookiees on Kashyyyk and your brother, Anakin, turned to the dark side."
"I suspected he was going to turn to the dark side," Cade muttered with sadness in his voice, "I had visions and nightmares about it."
"You know about his turn?!" Echo said with shock in his voice, "Did you try to tell any of the Jedi Council members including General Kenobi?"
"No, I didn't because they probably would have put me in a prison similar to the Citadel on Lola Sayu as what they did with Jedi who had prophet visions before the Clone Wars," Cade answered as he looked at Echo before the Clone noticed that Kanan's lightsaber was on Thrawn's desk nearby and began walking towards it.
"Arm yourself," Echo told Cade as he clipped Kanan's lightsaber onto his armor's belt as they walked towards the entrance door to Thrawn's office as they grabbed DC-17s from their armors' holsters before they exited the Chiss Grand Admiral's office with Cade firing tw blaster bolts at two stormtroopers with his DC-17 as the two stormtroopers walked past Thrawn's office.
Zeb was climbing the reactor walls of the power generator room as Rukh climbed onto the wall of the reactor that Zeb was on and grabbed the Lasat's ankle, causing Zeb to kick him in the face before they climbed up the reactor wall as Rukh knocked Zeb down and held his foot onto one of the springs of the reactor wall that they held onto and pounded his feet on Zeb's feet.
"Huh?" Zeb muttered as he grabbed Rukh's foot with his own and placed it inside the springs of the reactor wall and twisted it, trapping the Noghri.
"Admiral Thrawn, it appears that the Thirteenth Brother is helping Satele and Sabine Wren to escape," Faro reported to Thrawn as the Chiss Grand Admiral entered the bridge of the Chimaera as she was standing inside one of the crew pits next to an Imperial officer.
"So it seems that the Thirteenth Brother has betrayed the Empire," Thrawn muttered to himself, "But that doesn't matter. All batteries, prepare a full-scale bombardment of the planet." Faro then directed the Imperial Technician that she was standing next to to do as Thrawn ordered, "On my command…" The Chimaera's turbolasers then rotated around towards the Imperial Complex.
"I think we're out of time," Hera stated as she saw the Chimaera's turbolasers pointing directly at them.
"Guys, now or never," Tech said, contacting the others with his comlink.
"Now!" Ketsu shouted as she flipped the main power converter's lever down.
"Zeb?" Kallus, Lyste, Cody, Omega, Wrecker, Jesse and Appo all called out to the Lasat, who was still on the reactor wall with Rukh, who was trying to set himself free from the springs that trapped his foot.
"Don't wait on me!" Zeb shouted as electricity began to flow through the reactor walls as he leaped up from the reactor wall onto a ledge across from the reactor walls from above as the electricity approached Rukh, causing his facial expression to change to one of fear.
"Shields up!" Hera announced as the shield generator from the Imperial Complex activated as she pressed a button on the computer console in the command center.
"Fire!" Thrawn ordered as the turbolasers from the Chimaera began firing towards the planet below, only for the planetary shield to deflect the turbolasers.
"It worked! The shield is holding!" Hera exclaimed, happily as she and Tech watched from the Imperial Complex's command center, "The planet is safe."
"Sir, they've engaged the shield," Faro reported to Thrawn from the crew pit below him.
"Rukh! Rukh! What's your status?" Thrawn asked into his comlink as he took it out.
"Sorry. You'll have to call back. He's busy at the moment," Zeb said on the comlink, shocking the Chiss Grand Admiral.
"Uh… yeah, uh, never mind about calling back," Zeb muttered as he saw Rukh get electrocuted to death by the electricity from the reactor wall.
"Got what my plan is, Galen?" Satele asked Galen as they along with Sabine ran down one of the Chimera's corridors as he had his lightsaber separated in two parts and held them in a reverse grip.
"Yeah, you had two of your friends, Mart Mattin and Jai Kell contact a bunch of space whales to take Thrawn out of the picture," Galen answered before they stopped running and hid behind a wall as they sensed two stormtroopers walking nearby.
"Sabine, we'll take care of them," Satele whispered to her twin sister and Galen.
"What are we going to do, Sis?" Sabine asked her.
"All we're gonna do is knock them out and steal their weapons," Satele answered.
"Do what you both gotta do, I'll help out if you both need backup," Galen told her.
"Thanks, Galen," Satele replied with a smile before she and Sabine came out of hiding, "Hey, Bucketheads!"
"Huh?" Both stormtroopers muttered at the same time as they saw the Mandalorian twins sneaking up on them and began punching them in the helmet before they began kneeling them in their stomachs, knocking both stormtroopers out.
"I guess we didn't need your help, Galen," Sabine told the former Inquisitor as she and Satele grabbed the E-11 blaster rifles from the stormtroopers that they just knocked out.
"Yeah, I guess you both didn't need my help," Galen said, agreeing with Sabine.
"Galen, how far is it to the escape pods?" Satele asked Galen.
"It's nearby," Galen answered before they began running down the corridor as they ran into a squad of stormtroopers near the entrance to the room with escape pods as Galen slashed his lightsaber against two of them, killing them instantly, while Sabine and Satele fired a couple of blaster bolts at two stormtroopers each with the E-11 blaster rifles that they stole from the stormtroopers that they knocked out, killing the stormtroopers as well.
As they entered the escape pod room, Satele clicked a button on the side of one of the escape pods before its hatch opened.
"Satele, Sabine," both Mandalorians heard Kanan say as they heard his voice but it was disembodied rather than physical as Sabine entered the escape pod before Satele went to follow her.
"Master?" Satele and Sabine both called out to their deceased Jedi master.
"I've begun my training to retain my consciousness and come back from the Netherworld of the Force, girls," Kanan's voice told Satele and Sabine before Satele stopped as she noticed that Galen wasn't following.
"Aren't you coming, Galen?" Satele asked Galen.
"No, I'm staying here to make sure that Thrawn doesn't escape," he answered before he took out his holorecorder and handed it to her, "Take that. The reasons for my defection from the Empire is on that holorecorder."
"I hope to see you again, Galen," Sabine told him with a small smile as Satele took the holorecorder from Galen.
"Yeah, me too, Sabine," Galen replied.
"May the Force be with you," both Satele and Sabine told the former Inquisitor.
"Yeah, and with the two of you," Galen said, agreeing with both Mandalorian Jedi Knights as the hatch of the escape pod closed back up as it was launched from the Chimaera and began flying down towards the outskirts of Lothal and outside of Capital City as Galen left the room.
"Chopper?" Tech said as he pulled the astromech droid back on his feet, "Chop! Chop, wake up!" He then pounded his fist on his dome, causing him to grunt as he powered back up, "Really? That must be tough for you, but can you please see if you can contact the Ghost and the Marauder? It's almost time to get out of here," Chopper then grunted a response as he went to plug his scomp link into the astromech port in front of them when Cade and Echo suddenly entered the room with Cade wielding both one of his blasters and an experimental shield.
"Captain Avenger?" Hera muttered with shock as she saw Cade with Echo.
"I assume that this is General Hera Syndulla," Cade surmised as he looked at Hera.
"I am," Hera confirmed as Echo approached her as he unclipped Kanan's lightsaber from his armor's belt after placing his DC-17 back in its holster before she looked at the lightsaber in his hand, causing her to gasp and widen her eyes in shock, "Is that?"
"It is, General," Echo answered as she took the lightsaber from the clone, "I found it on a desk within Thrawn's office, where I found Cade."
"Thank you, Echo," Hera told Echo as she placed her right hand over the right pauldron of the clone's armor after clipping Kanan's lightsaber onto her belt, "It deserves better than to be destroyed by the Empire or as a trophy for Thrawn's art collection." She then turned to Cade, "And how did you wound up in Thrawn's art collection, Captain?"
"It's a long story," Cade answered.
"Once again, I have let my crew down," Hondo said as he sat next to Melch and placed his hands over his goggles, "If only I could get Melch back, I would tell him…" Melch who was just unconscious and snoring then suddenly woke up before he began squealing as he was telling him that he was still alive, causing Hondo to turn to him with relief as Melch stood up and walked over to him, squealing as he went to hug him as Hondo crossed his arms as he hugged Hondo's leg, "...that he is fortunate to be in my service, because only that keeps him alive! Ha!" He then patted Melch's hardhat.
Meanwhile above on one of the platforms, Rex was running towards Gregor, who was dying as Kallus and Lyste stepped away from him as Cody also approached the dying clone with Jesse and Appo as they removed their helmets from their heads and placed them under their arms with their facial expressions being of both sadness and respect before Rex grabbed hold of Gregor's hand as Omega, Wrecker and Crosshair approached them as well and also removed their helmets as they also placed their helmets under their arms.
"He's not going to make it," Janus told the clones with sadness in his voice as he removed his helmet and placed it under his arm.
"How long does he have?" Cody asked them.
"Hard to say, really," Lyste answered, "Could be a minute or it could be a few minutes."
"Then you guys should be quick to say goodbye to your fellow clone," Kallus told the clones.
"We will," Omega assured the former ISB/Fulcrum agent as Jesse and Appo removed their helmets from their heads.
"It was an honor to serve with you, Rex, Cody and the rest of you. It was an honor to fight with you all for something we chose to believe in," Gregor told Rex, Cody along with the rest of his clone brothers and sister with his dying breath.
"You fought well, Gregor," Cody said as he looked at his dying clone brother, "You fought well in the 212th and you fought well here."
"You almost fought like a soldier of the 501st," Jesse stated, agreeing with Cody.
"Yeah, you did," Appo said, agreeing with the ARC Commander.
"I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I'm gonna miss you, Gregor," Wrecker told Gregor with sadness in his voice.
"I wish we had time to get to know each other more," Omega said as she looked at Gregor with sadness as she was about to cry.
"Goodbye, Commander Gregor," Crosshair muttered as he looked at Gregor with respect and a bit of sadness.
"Huh… We did it, Gregor," Rex told Gregor as Gregor's arm fell limp before he placed it on his chest, "We did it."
"Tech, Gregor just passed away," Omega said, contacting Tech with her comlink as she sniffed with sadness in her voice.
"Just stay strong, Omega, his sacrifice will not be in vain," Tech assured her from her comlink.
In the bridge of the Chimaera, Thrawn heard a lightsaber behind him as it was slashed against two of his Death Troopers before he turned around and saw Galen with his lightsaber ignited before Faro looked up outside of the crew pit that she was in and pulled out an RK-3 blaster pistol from her tunic and aimed it at the former Inquisitor.
"Traitor!" Faro yelled at Galen with anger in her voice.
"Shut up, Commodore Faro!" Galen told her as he slowly entered the bridge, "Looks like you lose, Thrawn."
"A momentary setback," Thrawn stated as he looked at the former Inquisitor, "But you could help me with a threat that threatens the entire galaxy, not just the Empire and the Chiss Ascendancy."
"We'll see," Galen muttered.
"Sir, several unidentified objects have just entered orbit," one of the Imperial officers standing within one of the crew pits reported to the Chiss Grand Admiral.
"My blockade will intercept them," Thrawn assured him.
"No, they won't," Galen argued with a smirk.
"They've destroyed the blockade," the Imperial officer reported, "Our ships are just gone."
"How did you know that would happen?" Faro asked the former Inquisitor.
"Satele told me when I helped both her and her twin sister escape the Chimaera," Galen explained.
"Get Captain Pellaeon, Commodore," Thrawn ordered Faro.
"On it, Admiral," Faro said as she gestured to the Imperial technician that she was standing next to to contact Pellaeon.
"Sir, they came out of Hyperspace! I've never seen…" Pellaeon stated on the Chimaera's communications system before it was cut to static.
"Admiral, Commodore, we have incoming," the Imperial officer reported to Thrawn and Faro.
"Take a look, Grand Admiral," Galen urged Thrawn as he aimed his lightsaber's blade at him.
As Thrawn turned around and looked out his Star Destroyer's viewport, he saw a swarm of Purrgil along with one that was bluish-purple, gray and yellow with blue eyes, was larger than regular Purrgil, more distinctive protrusion atop heads and had more whisker-like organs underneath its mouth leading them known as a Purrgil Ultra along with the Ghost and the Marauder as the Purrgil moaned.
"So would you guys have believed us if we told you this was Satele's plan?" Mart asked Wolffe, Howzer, Kahn and Spinner.
"Yeah, would you guys have believed us?" Jai said, agreeing with Mart.
"No, but this has Satele Wren written all over it," Wolffe answered.
"With a plan like this, we are definitely going to defeat Thrawn," Howzer stated.
"Yeah, we are definitely going to defeat him with these Purrgil," Kahn said, agreeing with Howzer.
"You're both right, with Satele's plan, we are going to beat Thrawn," Spinner stated, agreeing with Howzer and Kahn.
"Satele's plan seems almost as crazy as what General Skywalker's were during the Clone Wars and with it, we are definitely going to free Lothal from Imperial occupation," Hunter added from the Ghost's communications system, agreeing with his fellow clones.
"Yeah, that's why this is going to work," Vizago said, agreeing with them as he chuckled before TIE fighters flew out of the Star Destroyers above Capital City which the Ghost and the Marauder began to fire upon as some of the Purrgil smashed their bodies against the Star Destroyers from underneath and into one of their command bridges as they continued to moan, causing damage to the Star Destroyers.
"When did this become the plan?" Tech asked Hera.
"Yeah, this wasn't in the briefing," Echo said, agreeing with Tech.
"Those are Purrgil," Cade muttered, "So only a Jedi could have contacted them."
"You two are asking the wrong person," Hera told both clones.
"Whatever happens next happens to both of us and you'll help me against the Grysk threat," Thrawn told Galen before looking behind him as the Purrgil Ultra looked at the Chiss Grand Admiral as he now had his RK-3 blaster pistol in his hand rather than his tunic's holster.
"That's Satele's plan, Grand Admiral, Mitth'raw'nuruodo," Galen assured him when the Purrgil Ultra's tentacles smashed the viewport's glass, causing Thrawn and Faro to fire their RK-3 blaster pistols at him as it flung stormtroopers and a stormtrooper with an orange pauldron around as they grunted and groaned.
The Chiss Grand Admiral began to run away, only for Galen to deactivate his lightsaber and clip it onto his armor's belt before he extended his arm forwards as he used the Force to push him back towards the Purrgil Ultra's tentacles, causing the Purrgil Ultra to wrap its tentacles around him.
Faro then began to run away as well before Galen extended his arm towards her as well as he used the Force to push her backwards as well, causing the Purrgil to wrap its tentacles around her as well.
"Satele? Sabine? Can either of you hear me?" They suddenly heard Tech ask on the Chimaera's communications system, "The Purrgil, is it one of you?"
"Sorry, but Satele and Sabine aren't here anymore," Galen replied from the Imperial Complex's communications system, "You can call me Galen now as I've defected from the Empire and they hopped in an escape pod with me helping them escape, but this was Satele's plan."
"She could've told us," Tech muttered to himself.
"She told me that she wanted it to be a surprise for you guys," Galen explained as a Death Trooper and three stormtroopers entered the Chimaera's bridge behind him, causing him to turn around and extended his arm out towards them and used the Force to push them into the holotable room of a Star Destroyer's bridge before he grabbed his lightsaber from his armor's belt and reignited one of its blades and slashed it against two of the stormtroopers, killing them instantly.
The former Inquisitor was then was shot in the back by Thrawn, causing him to turn around and used the Force to take his blaster from him before doing the same for Faro as he used the Force to push Thrawn and Faro towards the front of the Star Destroyer's bridge, causing them to be wrapped by the Purrgil Ultra's tentacles again.
Three more stormtroopers entered the bridge behind him, which Galen sensed and used the Force to close the door as the Purrgil Ultra's tentacles lifted upwards with Thrawn and Faro lifting up from the ground as the Purrgil began to attach themselves to the Chimaera.
"When they glow like that…" Hera began to say as the sides of every single tentacle of the purrgil began to light up blue as Rex, Cody, Jesse, Appo, Wrecker, Crosshair, Omega, Hondo, Melch, Kallus, Lyste, Janus, Ketsu and Zeb reentered the command center with the four Purge Troopers as Rex has somewhat convinced them to join them as every single clone had their helmet removed and under their arms.
"From what you told me, they're about to jump into Hyperspace," Tech stated.
"Captain Avenger?" Kallus and Omega said with shock as they saw Cade.
"You both know me?" Cade asked them.
"We're huge fans of you," Omega explained.
"Galen, you have to get out of there now!" Hera ordered the former Inquisitor with her voice filled with worry, "You don't know what will happen if you stay on board Thrawn's Star Destroyer."
"General Syndulla, I have to see this through to the end," Galen told the Twi'lek as he extended his left arm out towards Thrawn and Faro with his right arm behind his back.
"Thirteenth Brother!" All four Purge Troopers yelled with worry in their voices, "Get out of there! We don't know what to do without you."
"I can't do that, guys," Galen told them, "But please join the Rebellion for me."
"We will!" All four Purge Troopers said on the Chimaera's communications system as Galen continued to use the Force on Thrawn and Faro to restrain them in the Purgil Ultra's tentacles.
"It's up to all of you along with Satele and Sabine now," Galen said on the Imperial Complex's communications system as Purgil began to jump to Hyperspace.
"And remember as Jedi say, the Force will be with you, always," Galen finished as the Purrgil sent Thrawn, Faro and the Chimaera into Hyperspace with Galen along with the rest of the Seventh Fleet, sending them far away from Lothal.
"Janus, can you read me?" Everyone in the Imperial Complex's command center suddenly heard Satele say on Janus' wrist communicator.
"Satele?" Janus said, happily and with relief in his voice as he answered his girlfriend, "Galen said that he helped you and Sabine escape. Where are the two of you?"
"He was right, Jan'ika and we're fine. I'm sending you our coordinates," Satele told her boyfriend.
"See you and Sabine soon," Janus replied.
"Um… Was that the plan?" Wolffe suddenly asked through everyone's comlinks, "Because we're all clear up here. There are no Imperial ships left."
"This is our chance," Janus muttered, "Let's finish this and regroup with Satele and Sabine!" Everyone then cocked their blaster rifles and pistols before he turned to Chopper as he cocked his WESTAR-35s as every single clone except for Rex placed their helmet back over their head, "Chopper, prime the thrusters for launch! We're going to blow this place."
"Mart, Jai, Hunter, we need an immediate pick up," Hera said, contacting Mart, Jai and Hunter with her comlink.
"Copy that, General," Mart responded on her comlink.
"We're on our way," Hunter replied from her comlink as Chopper rolled back over to the astromech port and plugged his scomp link into it, causing the Imperial Complex's countdown to start as it began to detach from the town center of Capital City as it began to lift off.
"You've lost, Arihnda. You should come with us," Ryder told Pryce as he unlocked her stuncuffs.
"I serve the Empire until the end," she said, refusing his offer as she rubbed her wrists.
"What if I give your family their Mining company back?" Ryder asked her, causing Pryce to look at her with a shocked and surprised look on her face.
"Fine!" She relented as Chopper flew behind Ryder on the command center's deck as the door to the command center began to electrify and blew up as stormtroopers rushed into the room, firing their E-11 blaster rifles at the rebels, who began to fire back at them as Cade grabbed his lightsaber from his armor's belt and ignited it with a blue colored blade appearing from the hilt.
"Come on!" Cade said as he slashed his lightsaber's blade against the command center's window before extending his arm out towards it as he used the Force to push the window's glass outwards before he deactivated his lightsaber and clipped it back on his armor's belt.
They soon exited the room through the window and began climbing up to the top of the command center with Zeb, Rex and Cody climbing up last as a squad of stormtroopers began firing on them as they hid behind objects on top of the command center.
The Ghost and Marauder then suddenly flew by, firing upon the stormtroopers before they began strafing away and flew back as the Ghost lowered its ramp with Hera, Zeb, Janus, Ketsu, Kallus, Lyste, Rex, Cody, Jesse, Appo, Hondo, Melch, Ryder and Pryce boarded the Ghost, while the door to the Marauder opened up as well with Echo, Wrecker, Tech, Cade, Stark, Taser, Shield and Arrow boarded the modified Omicron-class attack shuttle as Zeb fired upon a stormtrooper that was about to fire upon them as he entered the Ghost with everyone else who boarded the VCX-100 light freighter as the citizens of Capital City watched as the Imperial Complex took off.
"It's gaining altitude over the sea," Rex reported to Hera as he watched the Imperial Complex fly higher into the air as he, Cody, Hera and Janus entered the Ghost's cockpit as Mart and Jai got off from the Ghost's pilot and Pilot's seat as Hera sat down in the Ghost's pilot's seat.
"It's all you, Janus," Hera told Janus as she turned to him.
"For Kanan and Galen," Janus muttered as he clicked a button on one of his Vambraces, causing the Imperial Complex to explode, killing everyone within the Imperial Complex.
"Janus, what were the coordinates that Satele sent you?" Hera asked Janus.
"The tower that she lived in after the Bridgers were arrested by the Empire and before she reunited with her sister," Janus answered.
