Today had been quite the embarrassing day for Taranee. No it was more than just embarrassing it was all around emotional with the two biggest factors having been slapping Naruto and kissing Will. She couldn't look ether of them in the eye without going red. And this would be the day of all days that the others had something their parents wanted them to do leaving her the only one free. If Lunch was any indication this was going to be a long day.
A couple hours ago previously Will and Taranee were sitting on opposite sides on ends of a Square table. A semi-conscious Naruto, mainly because he played the events of this morning in his head about three or four times so he wasn't his usually focused self, and a smirking Irma had today's focus.
''So...'' Irma started coyly. ''Did anyone have a nice morni...aah!' She hissed and massaged her shin where a blushing Will kicked her.
Will sent the Guardian of water a look that said, 'Don't you dare?' It was embarrassing enough she and Naruto saw. The last thing she needed was for the others to know.
''Hhm, what was that?'' Hay Lin asked as she looked up from her sketchbook while Cornelia was busy filing her nails.
''Aah nothing...just wondering what was on the agenda for today.''
Naruto had finally come back to the world of reality. His last thought was on how to add a bit of peanut butter to the mix. It would probably take a lot of brain power on how to get Hay Lin into the mix.
''The idea I had was to spend some time with each of you girls and get to know you. I know Will quite well and I've gotten to known Irma some so that leaves the rest of you three.''
''Make it two...'' Cornelia said as she removed the file and blew the nail debris off her nails. ''My parents are attending this function and I have to babysit my sister. It's an all nighter and they want me home early.''
''Today is one of my usual shifts at the Silver Dragon after school so I can't help...sorry,'' the ever cheerful grin not leaving her face. Hay Lin actually hoped to get to better know Naruto. She was a person that easily made friends and had been curious to see what he was like ever since he stated his main element was his as well. So many questions filled her head. Could he fly as well? Would could he do? What could he teach her?
''Guess that leaves you huh Taranee?'' Naruto said suddenly causing the Guardian of fire to snap her head up. She wanted to say something. Make up an excuse or something as this morning events was still at the forefront of her conscious. ''I'll be seeing you at your locker after school then...'' He said getting up from the table and being on his before she had a chance to respond.
And that was how the current situation came to be.
''Hey...'' Naruto called to Taranee from the end of the hall.
''H-Hey,'' Taranee responded in her usual shy and reserved nature. She was still quite embarrassed about this morning.
''I have a place in mind where we can talk and have a bit of fun...gah! That didn't come out right what I was trying to say...'' he suddenly exclaimed as the words were out before he could stop himself.
Taranee had to fight back a giggle as Naruto fumbled over his words. When Naruto first mentioned fun she became a bit concerned, but when he tried to explain she realized he meant in a non-sexual way. It was then she started to really look at Naruto. His eyes, that were so confident and full of life. Not to mention how nothing seemed to scare him. He was so sure of himself and easy going. Taranee wish she could be a bit more courageous at times. She wondered if she could have done the same thing? Sacrificed her freedom so the others could escape.
"Taranee...what kind of food do you like?'' Naruto asked suddenly as they came to a stop light. It was a surprisingly sunny and warm day in contrast with the month long stormy weather that Heatherfield had been experiencing the last month. Though it probably wouldn't last long as Heatherfield's winter season was supposed to hit soon.
''Seafood and Italian...why?'' She was curious to say the least. Was he planning on taking her out to eat? Was he just trying to make casual conversation?
''After were done you're probably going to be hungry.''
He answered back smiling. The light had chanced and the walk signal flared to life as they crossed. It didn't take Taranee too long to figure out where they were going. She was started to familiarize herself with Heatherfield and the only place she could think of in this direction was the gym opened to the general public. But she didn't have any Gym clothes and purchasing some from the gym cost quite a bit of money.
''If you're worrying about the costs I got it covered,'' He responded as if he was reading her mind. Taranee chuckled at the irony of this thought. The outfits were simple, white tops and black shorts or skirts for the female customers. Taranee fumbled a bit at her skirt, due to the length being shorter then she liked. It wasn't lost on her that in general society the outfits for females, especially employees were a bit on the sexual side. A means of gratifying the male customers she mused. Too her surprise Naruto had brought them to an inside basketball court that was empty. Around these times the courts were usually filled with male students hanging around and showing off their so called skills.
''I planned ahead. I had a reservation planned for each girl and in case you, Cornelia, and Hay Lin were busy I had backups in case I ended up spending more time with Will or Irma.''
''That must have cost you quite a bit of money. Renting out one of these spaces isn't cheap.''
Naruto picked up a basketball from behind the bleachers, right where one of the employees said it would be. ''Well...I literally have more money then I know what to deal with. Karmine started investigating in stocks when he was young and got lucky with a few big winners. With some of that money loaned to me I partook on some ventures of my own and made quite a lot money as it result."
Being intelligent and practical always came hand and hand. It was simple amazing to say the least if he was really used what money Karmine gave him and multiplied it into his own fortune.
He started bouncing the basketball. The thump of the ball hitting the ground echoing throughout the gym. ''But enough about that. How about a game? First to twenty-one wins?'' He suggested as he tossed the ball to Taranee who caught the ball.
''You're on...'' she replied with a grin. Most people just assumed because of the glasses she had no interest in sports. It was nice to meet someone willing to indulge her interest.
''Fair enough...check,'' He said as Taranee bounced the ball back to him. He started dribbling and walking forward slowly but Taranee went on the defense. Naruto dribbled the ball between his legs as he shift his right and left foot back and forth waiting for an opportunity to get by. He bounced the ball, attempting to bounce it between Taranee's leg so he could moved behind her and catch only for the guardian of fire to close who legs and deny the tactic. She picked it up and dribbled it down the court and took a shot for two points.
''You'll have to do better then that...'' She said as she tossed the ball to Naruto who checked it back.
''Ok...I see someone has it cooking.'' Taranee started dribbling as she repeated making a motion forward then back. Before she could fake out a move Naruto shot forward and stole the ball. He zipped down the court and made a two point shot. ''Now it's a game.''
The game was getting hot as Taranee had thirteen points and Naruto was up by six. Currently he had the ball and was trying to figure out how to get past Taranee who was determined to stop him from scoring anymore points. Unfortunately for her a bit of Naruto's more mischievous side came out. With a single hand gesture a second Naruto appeared behind Taranee to whom which Naruto passed the ball too.
''Wha? Hey!'' Taranee cried out as the Shadow Doppelganger made a half court shot scoring three points. Naruto smirked impishly as his doppelganger disappeared. ''That's Nineteen!''
''You cheated!'' She declared in a huff. It was rather cute how unwound Taranee had became during their little game.
''Now, now Tara no one ever said we couldn't use our abilities.''
Taranee looked away rather flushed. She picked up the ball and a mischievous idea formed in her head. 'Well if that's how he wants to play.'
''Che-aaah!"' Naruto screeched as the ball went flying. Naruto shook his smoking hand as Taranee caught the ball.
''Whoo!'' She cheered without a beat as she scored a three point shot. ''16 to 19. I'm back in the game.''
''Hey what's with the second degree burns? I didn't hurt you...'' He whined.
''Well excuse me mister I have three super powers for every occasion. Some of us have only one power.'' She couldn't remember the last time she was having fun. True she wasn't acting like her normal self, but something about Naruto made her feel so relaxed. He didn't want anything from her or expect anything from her. He wasn't trying to hide her way like some kind of glass figurine that could be broken from a single fall. She was just having fun and being a normal teenage girl. After another few minutes the game was 19 to 21, with Taranee winning. She knew that Naruto let her win, but it was a fun game nonetheless.
"I hope you're enjoying yourself, Taranee.''
''So far so good...I am getting kind of hungry.''
''Sushi, maybe?'' Naruto suggested as he spun the ball on his finger.
''This feels kind of weird. I don't mean to impose...''
''Tara,'' Naruto bounced the ball and caught it in his hands. ''You're a friend and I care more about my friend's happiness than money. I could buy you several bags worth of expensive clothing and it wouldn't faze me."
''So you wouldn't care if all that money went missing?'' She asked taking a swig of water from one of the bottles Naruto purchased when they took a break mid-game. She wiped the sweat off her brow.
''Now I didn't say that...I remember back before I managed to get some wealth and it was anything but enjoyable having to scrounge to get by, but not enough where I let money dictate my life." Naruto's phone went off. 'Oh It's the Juggernaut Bitch!' Naruto went over the bleachers and picked it up. ''Hold on a second kay'?'' He asked as Taranee nodded.
''Hello?''
''Hey kid, I got a question for you. You have any idea what happened to that desert I had saved?"
Naruto checked his watch. It was a little after five. ''Ooh yeah...that little romantic dinner you had planned.'' Naruto could feel the man's glower at his teasing.
''Under the Cabbage.''
An audible sigh may not have been much in the way of an answer for most people it signified something between the two guys.
"Right, of course. Anyway I'm bringing Susan back to the abode so I would recommend finding some way to entertain yourself tonight."
"I'll keep that in mind." He replied as the conversation came to an end. With the conversation ended Naruto went back to Taranee.
''Hey Tara can we make a slight detour?''
''Sure, may I ask why?''
''Well my guardian s planning on seducing Will's Mom and that means I have no where to stay tonight so I need to find a place to crash for the night.
''Uum Naruto your mansion is huge. I doubt you'll notice them even if they do...that.'' Taranee couldn't find herself to speak the words. She hadn't really thought about that sort of thing. At least not until Naruto and Will showed up. Something about them seemed to affect her inner fire.
"I rather not go into the detail's of Karmine's sordid life. At the very least I can avoid that awkward conversation if I run into one or both of them the morning after. The last time I stumbled onto the aftermath it did not end well." He added as his expression suddenly became hunted.
''Maybe we should go get that hotel room now.''
''Well Jeesh Taranee kind of forward aren't you? I didn't know you thought of me as just some casual slam piece causal.'' He teased as the mocha girl eye's widened and she started sputtering. ''I'm kidding,''He casually added. 'Shy girls like you are fun to tease. You'll grow into a fantastic woman who will make some guy a lucky bastard.' The thought entered Naruto's head as he motioned to leave the Gym.
'Fun to tease huh?' Taranee thought as a small smile graced her lips. 'I guess it wouldn't hurt to see where things go. I think I'm starting to see what Will and Irma see in him.' Taranee thought as she looked forward to getting to know more of Naruto.

In a vast and lavish room were numerous figures, the bulk were the Metamoorian guards and soldiers. All clad with the armor and equipped with spheres. Two figures stood out among them. One was on the throne with long haired in which the current light looked a mixture of Vanilla or blondish hay-like sheen. Despite the effeminate nature of his looks, both eyes contained a cruel and powerful nature. His robes were blue and white, royalty of the Meridian line if the crest on it meant anything. He had a reddish-orange Goatee and cold dark green eyes. The mixture of colors in feature would be an oddity in normal society, but in this world such features were aristocratic in attire among the royalty.
The man standing; not kneeling but standing before him was another man who exhumed power and confidence. He had long flowing Silver hair that went to his knees. His silver eyes were cold, confident, and absolutely ruthless. His outfit was that of a Black Gi, his top mostly black with a silver crest in the middle and red streaks down the side of the pants. The man was 6'1 in height and about 200 pounds with a light muscular build. ''Prince Phobos I assume? What if I told you we have a mutual enemy.'' The man spoke as his silver eyes changed red and morphed into jagged fangs!

Did you figure it out yet? (N.E.O.W.I.T.C.H. Or Witcheno) Yes the latter isn't as good as the former but I thought I include it regardless. Anyway I heard there was supposed to be two teams of Guardians even before CHYKN (Excluded the whole thousand years, ancient evil Phobos, conception of time, and all the other Time Plot Holes in Witch. I will tried to make sense of these things, but if I fall into a Plot Hole Trap let me know. )
Anyway those who remember this original villain, he originally had the Sharingan. This was long before even the Sharingan madness before the Pein arc.
As such his abilities and origins are being changed and revamped. Anyway hope you guys are enjoying the chapters.
