Mr. Collins stood on the edge of the Sheffield Institute's wide lawn and crossed his arms over his thin chest. His breath flowed into his lungs...feeble things...with a faint, wheezing noise. His body felt weak, ineffectual...old!

The scene he was witnessing on the other side of the glass, however, perked him up right.

Will Vandom was lurching to her feet and staring down at a quartet of her little friends. Even though Mr. Collins was too far away to see Will's big, brown eye, her body language communicated everything he to know.

Her shoulders were hunched beneath her ears...an especially annoying nervous habit, Mr. Collins thoughts.

Not too long after the blond male Naruto Uzumaki began speaking. Whatever he was saying the disguised Collins could not decipher. Soon the girl's body language changed and they even began laughing as the blond fooled around with the air guardian's hair.

'Laugh while you can Guardians. Your defeat is imminent.'

With that though the disguised Collins began to pad lightly across the grass. He didn't worry about all the students lounging under the trees and tossing Frisbees. he was a teacher, which meant he was invisible. The disguised Collins rounded a corner of the looming main building and approached a smaller structure..the old administration quarters nestled among a thicket of overgrown shrubs.

He breezed through the front door and glanced around. Half-empty paint cans were scattered on a tarpaulin, and a ladder led up to the exposed duct work in the ceiling. A band of striped, plastic tape blocked off a dramatic, marble staircase.

Mr. Collins sneered at the blockade, then marched over to the stairs. With one finger, he lifted the tape to shoulder height. He was just ducking beneath it when a guttural voice rang out behind him.

''Mr. Collins!" The teacher straightened up and growled in annoyance. He forced a tight smile onto his face, and turned around.

A stout man in white coveralls and a dirty baseball cap was hurrying toward him. It was Bertold, one of the school custodians.

'And a big busybody,' the Disguise Collins thought.

Everywhere I go, it seems, there's Bertold. The guy really gets around for someone so pudgy!

''Don't you know this side of the school is closed for repairs?'' The janitor demanded of the disguised Collins.

''Of course I know,'' Collins replied with a jovial laugh. ''You already told me that, this morning.''

Then the disguised Collins leaned over to peer directly into Bertold's eyes. His smile hardened as he added, ''And as you did this morning, you will forget you ever saw me!''

With a sigh of satisfaction, Mr. Collins watched the custodian's dull, brown eyes grow even duller. His lids grew heavy and his mouth slackened. In a monotone, Bertold said, ''Yes sir. I'll go now, sir.''

Bertold turned around and walked like a robot down the hall.

Collins tweaked his mustache and slipped beneath the tape, striding up the stairs. He glanced over his shoulder and sneered at Bertold's back, as the man trundled away.

'Earth people,'he thought in disdain. 'Bah! Some minds are too easy to control but I must admit...'

Collins lifted a hand to his shock of thick, brown hair and gave his scalp a vicious run.

The mind belonging to the real Mr. Collins was giving him a rough time.

The man walked briskly through a sun-filled hallway at the top of the stairs and entered a dusty office, a space once occupied by the vice principal.

Sitting in quiet bewilderment at a desk in the corner was a Collin's double, from the thick brown hair to the brush like mustache, blue blazer and tie.

''Collins!'' the false Collins called out to him. ''Can you hear me?''

From his seat at the desk, the teacher spoke thickly, as if her were half asleep. His voice droned in the same monotone Bertold has assumed after having been hypnotized.

''Yes,'' he murmured.

''The break had ended,'' the false Collins declared. He strode over to the real Collins's' desk and planted his hands on the surface, leaning over to glare into eyes exactly like his own.

''When you go back to your classroom,'' the false Collins ordered,''...you won't remember anything. Clear?

''Yes''

The teacher lurched out of his chair and shuffled foggily out of the office.

The false Collins dusted off his hands and sighed with relief. But as he got read to go back to his own work, he paused.

'I think I'll watch him for a minute,' he thought.

Grinning slyly, he silently followed the hapless history teacher down the hallway. Then he hid behind a corner to watch the real Mr. Collins walk down the staircase and duck beneath the security tape.

And, of course, there, again, was that bumbler, Bertold, sweeping up paint chips at the base of the stairs! He looked at the real Mr. Collins disapprovingly.

''Professor!'' he scolded. ''Even if construction has been stopped, this side of the school is still forbidden to the public.''

The real Mr. Collins nodded agreeably and headed for the door. Behind him, Bertold leaned on his broom and said, ''Why do I have the feeling I've already told you this?''

Slowly, the real Mr. Collins turned around. He shook his head, as if he had been trying to knock cobwebs out of his brain, and shrugged.

''Maybe it's deja vu, Bertold,'' he said.

Then he shook his head again...and looked around the dusty old foyer.

''Now that you mention it,'' he breathed in confusion. ''I'm a bit confused, too. What...what am I doing here?''

While the befuddled teacher shambled from the building, the man spying on him for the top of the stairs gave a low, satisfied cackle.

Neither Bertold nor Mr. Collins had remembered a thing, he confirmed to himself gleefully. Not that he didn't have absolute faith in his own powers. He just liked to see them in action every once in awhile.

Standing in front of a window, the man gazed at his own reflection. He smirked at himself in the glass, then gave a quick nod.

A silvery shimmer surrounded his body, thrumming and roiling like a sudden burst of steam. As the magic melted away, so, too, did the irritating, brush like mustache, the bland, friendly face, the rounded shoulders, and the practical suit.

In their place appeared long, glowing, blond hair and a jawline so sharp it could cut paper. The eyes, still leering, had morphed from hazel to icy blue. They squinted into a sinister smile.

'Ah,' Cedric thought in relief. 'That's it. I can work much better this way.'

Now in a more comfortable form, he stalked back down the hallway and swept down the stairs. He had to get to the bookshop. It was the only place where he could find peace. And where he could enact the next leg of his plan.

Minutes later, Cedric was in the bookshop. Once inside, he breathed in the musty, dusty air with relish.

Oh, but it wasn't the shelves filled with old books that brought Cedric comfort. Or the warm shafts of rainbow sunlight tat shot through the elegant, stained-glass windows.

No, it was the bookshop's proximity to his home...to Metamoor. The building housed a portal to Cedric's world.

And waiting for him there was Prince Phobos. Just the thought of Phobos...his power...his fury, his chiseled face and long, wheat-colored hair...made Cedric shudder. He didn't know whether he admired the prince as much as he feared him.

The moment such a thought entered Cedric's mind, he shook it away. Such disloyalty was inexcusable! Phobos was his ruler. Cedric served him unconditionally. That was all. And if the prince's crudely caused Cedric pain, he would just have to deal with it on his own. It certainly was something that had to be kept hidden from Elyon. Nothing must dissuade her from forsaking her ''parents'' and friends for her brother, Phobos. And nothing could be allowed to sway her faith in Cedric's power.

The same went for Vathek. The big, blue lug had been endlessly loyal to Cedric.

'And now,' Cedric thought, '...my trust in the monster will be put to the test. Let's see if he's up to the task.'

Cedric strode through the shop to a door made of yellowed, frosted glass. Opening the door with magic...there was no reason to soil his own hands...Cedric stepped into a small back office and approached an ornate, gold lectern. Atop the stand was an ancient book. Its leather cover was crinkled with age and dirt.

Flipping open the book, Cedric waved a casual hand over the pages. A wisp of magic trailed from his fingertips and danced lightly over the parchment. Then the wisp pulled backward, as if teasing thread loose from a sweater.

What emerged from the book, however, was much more interesting than a slip of string. It was a magical vision-cloud... a hazy screen through which Cedric could see, and talk to, his aide back in Metamoor.

With another flick of his magical fingers Cedric summoned Vathek. The beast's head emerged in the cloud as clearly as an earthly being might appear in a video monitor. Vathek who viewed Cedric's image through a translucent jewel in one of his brass wrist cuffs, bowed his bulbous head reverently.

Cedric cleared his throat to deepen his voice. Then he spoke.

''Talk to me, faithful Vathek,'' he intoned.

''Tell me how things are going.''

''Well, Cedric,'' Vathek responded. ''I've entered Metamoor's underground and infiltrated the rebels who long to escape to earth. I told them that I betrayed you.''

''Go on,'' Cedric urged.

''Unfortunately,'' Vathek admitted,''...some don't believe me. So now they are divided. Those who fell for my trick are now under my orders.

''Really,'' Cedric said dryly. ''I didn't know you were so charismatic, old friend.''

Inside, however, Cedric felt a sense of excitement. The plan was working! Phobos would be pleased.

Vathek was speaking once again. Cedric shook himself out of his happiness and returned to the conversation.

''Those on my 'team' are few and desperate,'' the blue henchman was saying. ''They would believe anybody.''

''Well, make sure they don't influence you!"' Cedric warned. ''Remember whom you must obey.''

''I won't forget, my master,'' Vathek said, form his little cloud. ''I only wonder why we must deceive them.''

''We're not deceiving them,'' Cedric said. ''We're giving them an actual chance to invade earth. We're even helping them get there without interference! After all, I'm using all my resources to weaken the Guardians.''

Vathek flashed a snaggle toothed grin.

''May I ask how?'' he inquired.

''By undermining the relationships with the keeper of the Heart of Kandrakar. Originally I was hoping to have her fighting with her mother and giving her friends the cold shoulder but that blond boy is once again getting in the way. It appears I'll have to contact our mutual acquaintance about his lack of participation, but with time and patience enough confusion will find its way into her life to where she will be helpless and,'' Cedric continued, ''I'm not doing this alone. Elyon will supply the finishing stroke.''

Vathek nodded enthusiastically.

''And so the plan will take place tonight?'' he inquired.

''Yes, Vathek,'' Cedric said. ''Instill rage in your followers. Teach them to distrust the Guardians.'

As Cedric issued his final orders, he felt another thrill of excitement shoot through his veins. Deceit. Destruction. And most of all pleasing Phobos...it really did warm his heart!

''Yes,'' Cedric repeated slyly. ''We'll leave the rebels the task of destroying the Guardians."

''Haah! Hyaah!'' Will cried out as she threw once jab after the next. Much to her frustration she couldn't land a single hit on Naruto who seemed to be dancing more then dodging. She whipped the thick salty sweat from the brow with the back of her hand as she breathed in the crisp air of the training area. Naruto mentioned something about seals and artificial excavation and other activities that gave the area a peaceful, almost tranquil like atmosphere.

Her muscles began to tense from how from not only the exhaustion, but at the new addition of her training. Gravity Seals, an effective training tool in the right hands. A lot of people who knew of and used Gravity seals often used them for the purpose of repelling weight from objects; often used by merchants to transport goods or used on armors so warriors could use the thicker and heavier variety for protection without sacrificing speed. Gravity Seals could also be dangerously if haphazardly used as they could cause muscle strain and deterioration along with brittle bones.

But Naruto had experience and knew how to effectively used the Gravity Seals. Will's was currently on level one, adding her consistent weight of 124 pounds worth of Gravity on the girl. So far Will was the only girl applied with a gravity seal. Even with trying to draw out Quintessence the lightning like element remained stubborn. Besides an increased range of empathic reading towards electronic devices no progress was being made in that matter so focus was being placed on what they could focus on. Will was already plenty lean and had a bit of stamina from swimming so capitalizing on her physical prowess was an easy start.

Continuing her wild and vivid strikes Will was making little head way in landing a blow on Naruto, much to her annoyance. The frown that had marred her features was soon replace with surprise as she cried out and ducked under a stray fireball.

''T-Taranee!'' The Penako cried out as she covered her head.

''S-Sorry Will.'' The Fire Guardian said as her mocha skin cheeks went as red as Will's hair. Naruto had the air Guardian practicing the Fire Release technique, the Phoenix Immortal fire technique. A distraction technique that also serve as a multi-target attack was a diverse technique. With in conjunction with shurikens the technique served many purposes and it was a low level technique meaning Taranee would have too much trouble mastering it. That was one of the best thing about the chakra techniques from that shinobi world. It was a mixture of different physical aspects, with Chi and Mana being small aspects if focused a different way.

Naruto took the opportunity to scoop Will off her feet and throw her over his shoulder. The Pettanako cried out and began making numerous protests. ''Put me down Naruto!'' She squealed as her face went red as she felt the blond's hand getting quite frisky in places it shouldn't.

''Whatever you say Will,'' Naruto replied with a mischievous grin as he stopped before a small pond. Will who saw the pond and put two and two together immediately changed her mind.

''Don't you dare! Naruto! Noo!'' She cried out as it seemed like he was about to toss her in. At the last moment he stopped and chuckled as Will attempted a menacing growl. Coming from her the growl was quite cute.

''I'm so going to get you for this!"'

''Well Froggy-chan you have to be able to hit me first.'

Naruto leaned over and pressed his lips against Will as he softly caressed her stomach.

Will softly moaned in appreciation at her boyfriend's tender touch. ''I got some other training in mind we can try later, but only if you're a good girl.''

There attention was brought to the fire guardian who cleared her throat, a faint hint of embarrassment and uneasiness adorned her features.

''Sorry Tara...'' Will said as Naruto helped her to her feet.

'"Can you two make it back home on your own or do you want me to drop you two off?'' Had this strange feeling he couldn't shake the entire day. Maybe it was just him being paranoid.

''It's okay I'll walk home.'' Will said as she straightened up her shirt.

''Taranee?''

''My brother is going to pick me up!'' Stated the fire guardian as she a cloth of some kind to clean her glasses. ''Ever since my parents heard about the serial rapist they've been more over protective then usual and assist that I'm dropped off and picked up wherever I go; if I'm not traveling with two or more people that is.''

Elsewhere at one Simultech, an industrial software-developing company on the outskirts of Heatherfield, one Susan Vandom received a text message on her phone. Upon reading it she rolled her eyes and sighed. Another message from Karmine. To think the nature of their relationship could have changed so much in a year.

Fadden Hills-The Year Before

Will was woken up from her sleep by the blaring of her Frog shaped Radio.

'Wake up! The sun shines here at Heatherfield!'

'Huh? At Heather what?' A drowsy Will thought with half opened eyes. She was asleep on the top bunk of a bunk bed that was hers alone.

''Ha! Ha! Excuse me, Fadden Hills citizens! This is your radio station!''

Will sat up and covered her mouth as she yawned. She was still partially asleep and dismissed what she heard as hearing things.

'And as your Mayor and the only radio Fadden DJ. I wish you...'' It was cut off by Susan Vandom who was dressed for work.

''Good morning Will!''

''Morning, Mom!'' The Penako greeted as she wiped the crusts from her eyes. ''Could you leave the radio on? I want to hear the new about Heart...what?'' She softly mumbled as the name had preoccupied her mind again.

'Heatherfield today there is some kind of twinning happening at that city.' Getting out of Bed Will went straight to the kitchen to have breakfast.

''I see you got up early! You don't sleep didn't much either!''

''Yes, well your first day at school is important.''

''I'd say it's irrelevant just like every year.''

''You said you couldn't wait to see your classmates again! And then won't your friend be waiting for you? What's her name again? Lara?' Susan asked as she poured a cup of coffee in her orange coffee mug.

''Why are you changing the subject? You...''

''Yes.'' Susan finished as dropped some sugar cubes into the cup and began stirring it. ''Simultech should give me some new in today.'''

''The promotion? Wow!'' Will exclaimed as she was now wide awake.

''Don't be too enthusiastic! I won't be believe it until I've seen it written on the paper!''

''But the will give it to you mom! I already see a barrage of frogs on the Horizon!'' Will picked up her frog shaped mug. ''Frogs on my new clothes! On my new shoes!'' A grin plastered the redhead's face.

''How fortunate!'' Susan dead panned. ''My daughter thinks of frogs and not of money!"

''That's what you say now..Mmhm...'' Will said as she swiped a cookie from the cookie jar. After finishing up breakfast she reluctantly got dressed for school. As she approached the door to the garage she heard her mother swore, 'Damnit Thomas! You always do this!'

Will stopped, hesitant to see what her father had done now. Susan opened the door with an angry huff as she entered the Kitchen.

''Mom?'' The red-head hesitantly asked. ''What's wrong?''

''Your father saw it fit to borrow my car without asking me.'' Susan said with a sigh. It was no more then a few days ago that Susan had kicked him for one of his drunken rampages. Currently the man was staying at a hotel and Susan was reluctant to let him back into the house until he could control his drinking problem. Just this morning he had called, demanding to speak with Will, but Susan didn't want that man to harm her daughter any more then he already had. ''I had errands to run!'' Susan began as she massaged her scalp with two fingers. ''How am I supposed to get to work? There goes my promotion!''

Suddenly the doorbell rung. Susan went to open the door and was privy to the sight of a grinning Karmine.

''Morning Susan! Guess what today is?'' He seemed more cheerful then normal.

''Hello Karmine...'' The woman's annoyance had melted away almost instantly. Replacing her frown was a small smile. ''Good morning.''

''Hey there Will!'' He greeted as he peered over Susan.

''Hey Mr. K.''

''So like I was saying.''

''Karmine I'm sorry but were in a bit of hurry. Thomas has my car so unfortunately I'm going to be late for work and...''

''Say no more!'' He replied as he stepped to the side revealing his new Convertible.

''What happened to the Dodge?'' Will asked curiously as she looked at Karmine's new car, mesmerized.

''It's at the shop. My repair guy says it'll take weeks for her to get fixed. So I figured, here's an excuse to spend some money and buy another car. Come on, I'll give you girls a ride.''

''Karmine, we couldn't...you have that important meeting at your company and...'' Susan was paused as Karmine placed a finger to her lips.

''Nonsense. Helping you and Will out means more then some silly meeting. I mean...I own the company. What are they going to do? Fire me? I'll fire him!'' Karminen said as he looked left to right and whispered. ''Don't tell to nobody.''

Will snickered at Karmine's antics as Susan shook her head disapprovingly. ''Karmine...''

''I know, I know but come on. I mean there's plenty of room. I don't like driving by myself.''

''Is Naruto...with you?'' Will shyly began, hoping, more like praying neither adult would notice the hopefulness in her voice.

The dark skinned man snorted,''He's walking! After he spilled food in the dodge three months ago; he has been forbidden to ride in any of my good cars for the rest of the year. The Mercedes nah-huh. The Convertible, no way on this earth. The Sedan, maybe. The Nissan Ultimate...I have to think about.''

''As interesting as it is to hear about much more you have then everyone we really have to go...'' Susan added, bringing the conversation back on topic.

''Whatever you say Suzy-Kat! To the Pimp-mobile!'' Susan sighed as Will snickered. She was beginning to wonder if it was a good idea to allow her daughter around Karminen.

It didn't take long for Karmine to drive that Fadden Hills institute. Will, excited despite her initial reluctance hopped out of the car.

''Don't forget what I said!'' Susan shouted from the passenger window.

''This afternoon and...''

''Alright...'' Will shouted back as she waved. Her lime green shirt with a butterfly image on the shirt rose as Will stretched. She caught sight of her friend along with two girls.

One was a brunette wearing a pink shirt and dark pinkish-violet miniskirt with a brown belt with a maroon jacket over top and gray backpack.

The other two girls were blonde, one sandy blond wearing an orange jacket and the other straw-blonde wearing a gray shirt and gray skirt.

''Lara! Lara!'' The Penako called out to her friend. Unknown to her at the time those girls were anything but accepting of her.

'Will is coming!'' The strawy-blonde girl stated. ''Smile girls! Make her believe there's nothing wrong.

An older woman with brown hair wearing blue dress shirt and pants along with half lidded oval shaped glasses made her presence known. ''I'm keeping an eye on you, Pratcet! The bell has rung five minutes ago!''

''I was waiting for Will Vandom, Professor Pibbleton!''

''Don't put her in the middle! You need to be tactful given her situation!''The green eyes woman stated.

''Situation?'' Will asked curiously with a cheerful smile as she greeted the three girls. ''What is she babbling about?''

'Listen to her, Mrs. Pibbleton's Pet! She even pretends not to understand!' The straw haired girl thought.

Will blinked in confusion.

''Excuse me, Lara, but what did you say?''

''Me? Nothing Will, I was just thinking!' Her Parent situation has gone to her head.

'I-It's not possible! That's Lara's voice! But she's not speaking! It's as if I was reading her mind...''

'Poor Will! If she only knew what we were saying a few moments ago...'' The other blonde thought.

'Jenny?''

'I don't feel sorry for her! My parents are divorced! So what?''

'Louise?'

Will continued to enter the thoughts as she entered the school.

'This year, I'll choose a desk far from her! Definitely!''

'No I can't believe even Lara thinks of me that way...''

''I can't stand her! I never could...frog freak! What kind of girl likes frogs anyway.''

'No!''

''I better avoid speaking to her! How embarrassing!''

''NO!'' Why were her friends thinking this? Did they really dislike her that much?

''Please don't let her sit next to me! Please don't let her sit next to me!''

'NOO! ''NOOOOO!" The last part was audible causing all the students to jump. Will couldn't help herself as heavy tears stung her eyes. She couldn't take it anymore. Her self esteem had been declining as of late, but to find out all her friends hated her. The tears wouldn't stop flowing.

'Will!'

A pair of arms wrapped around her comfortably, despite trying to fight them off they remained tightly around her.

'It's okay Will! I won't hurt you! It's okay!'

Through her tear-stained eyes she saw it was Naruto.

'I don't know who hurt you, but if they ever do again I'll make them pay. I promise.'

The thought of at least one person, her crush no less didn't seem to hate her eased the pain.

Elsewhere Karmine had drove up to the front of the Simultech office in Fadden Hills. ''Hold on a second!'' Getting out he opened the door and with a charming grin asked,''So what are you doing tonight?''

''Going home! Which you should be doing after work.''

''Oh come on Susan? Tomorrow night. You and me Dinner at the Che Vho Lan Bran!''

''And what french restaurant is that supposed to be exactly?'' She asked with an amused smile.

''I don't know. It sounded French to me so I said it. Come on when was the last time you had a little fun?''

''Karmine, I'm married not to mention you're my boss three times overs.''

''One, you're married To a douchebag. Two, that does not mean we can't have an evening together. Yo know I consider the people I work with friends first and employees second."

''Look...I'm flattered but...'' She paused, trying to find the words. ''I have to go...' She said stepping out the car with her bag in hand.

''He doesn't treat you right Susan.'' She heard, causing her to stop in mid step. Her body suddenly went rebellious as it wouldn't move no matter how hard she tried to will it too. ''That man is no good.'' Karminen placed his hand's on Susan's shoulders. ''That fool doesn't see how lucky he is. That your slipping through his fingers, but I'm here. When you fall I'll be there to catch you, but not only just you...your daughter Will, she can count on me too. That's what friends are for Susan. We support each other!'' He said as he turned her to face him. Despite assisting that it was out of friendship it was obvious by his tone and look he desired something more.''I just...''

''Karmine I...'' The man had been a dear friend to her and supporting her through tough times. He was always there for her when she needed him. They had gotten close. Much closer than people in their positions usually did. And though she knew it was a bit inappropriate she couldn't help what she was filling right now. Draw to this man.

The distance between them ceased as they both leaned forward. Their lips pressed together for a soft kiss. Karmine wrapped his arms around Susan's figure as he held her close. Unknown to the two of them an associate of Thomas's was watching.

Later that Day Susan was currently listening to Will who was relaying her today's traumatic events. Pulling her daughter into a comforting hug Susan tried to bring the depressed girl out of her funk. She was sure Will would have been ecstatic at finally having her own Cell Phone, which the elder Vandom could now afford thanks to her promotion to Manager.

Suddenly the House phone started going off.

''Mom? Aren't you going to answer it?''

''No! I already know who it is!''

''Will...I...'' Susan hesitated, wondering just how Will would take the news of Susan's decision. For the past few years her marriage with Thomas had been deteriorating. His drinking and Gambling had gone out of control and he had started to get rather violent lately. A couple of weeks ago she had to replace a window that Thomas had threw the Kitchen phone out through when he ripped it from the wall and the week before in a fit of anger he threw the remote into the TV.

Much to her embarrassment she had to borrow some money from Karmine since she had to pay for all the bills when Thomas lost his job. Living in a place like Fadden Hills was quite expensive. In the list of the thirty most expensive places in the world, Fadden Hills ranked 24th. It was no Tokyo as it had a more rural then Urban touch, but it was pricey all the same.

Another reason why Susan had been reluctant until lately to consider the option in her mind now. While her growing attraction to Karmine made up her mind partially there was still the fact of how Will would react to the news.

''Mom?''

''I-It's nothing...just that I might be getting home a little later then usual that's all.''

''Oh...hey mom could you drop me off at Mr. Tentai's house? There's this project and Naruto's my partner and...''

''Say no more Will. There's something I have to do anyway. Come on, let's go get some Ice Cream on the way to celebrate.''

What followed were the events that made Susan decide once and for all to leave her husband and move to Heatherfield.

Heatherfield-Current Time

Susan pulled into the driveway of the compartment complex. After his fourth text Karmine had stopped texting her. Whatever the situation was apparently it was taken care of. Opening the door she called out for Will who didn't answer. 'That's strange! I saw her bike outside!' She went towards Will's room, hearing her voice and was going to call out to her daughter when she heard a statement freeze her cold.

''... e Karmine lunged at me!''

'What?' Susan thought she might had misheard Will.

''I know Taranee...it scared me to no end. I thought me was going to hurt me!''

Many different thoughts were going through Susan's head. ''Karmine wouldn't! He couldn't!''

'Taranee I haven't told the others yet. Naruto said earlier that he was going to see Mr. K who was apparently drunk out of his mind.'

Susan was contemplating what she was hearing. She couldn't hear what Taranee was saying unfortunately, but she was hearing all she need to hear from her daughter!

'The thing is how do I tell my mom without her freaking out about it!' The Pettanako stated massaging a small bruise on her arm. 'She has enough to worry about. She'll go crazy with worrying when she learns about this.'

''I can't believe this! All this time I thought he was different! That bastard! That lying son-of-a-bitch!'' Susan thought as she went for her room, pulling out her phone.

Will sighed,''Taranee you should be careful. It was another shape shifter that much I'm sure of. He looked and sounded just like Mr. K, but he made the mistake of suggesting he hold onto the heart with the recent incidents.''

''Right...I'll keep an eye out if for anyone who is acting strange.''

''I'll talk to you later Taranee...bye.''

''Bye Will.''

Will hung up as she heard the sound of a door closing. ''Mom?'' Will asked as she stepped out of her room. There was no answer. 'Huh? I guess I was hearing things.' Will thought to herself as she went back to her room. The thing that caught her sight was the crystal frog gift that Karmine had given her. She looked closer and notice there was a small crack running down one of it's eyes. 'Huh? How could it had been cracked? Maybe I should take it to Mr. K. He should be able to fix it.''
