Letting you guys know this story will be on a pretty long Hiatus on this site. I will be starting over and uploading the final version on ..eon before I begin updating on this site. There are elements and changes I want to add so I wanted to perfect it considering how much elements of this story I struggled with. So if you wish to start viewing the story it'll be on patre...on.

Story Start

In Metamoor's Throne room sat Prince Phobos surrounded by his whispers. Two, whom of which were carted away a dry husk of a Metamoorian who had her magical essence sucked dry. Metamoor's magic was slowly dying and as a result Phobos had to drain dry Metamoorians to sustain himself.

''Phobo, I'm quite disappointed you have such little faith in me. My plan to take down the guardians by shattering the Keeper of the Heart's spirit does not require outside aid.''

''If it wasn't for your resources and abilities I would crush you for speaking to me in such an insolent tongue warrior.''

''The question would be...could you!'' The Mysterious man returned, lowering his hood. The whispers hissed as the man who snorted. ''You need me more then I need you Prince. I'm sure I could find other suitable allies.''

''If it were so easy you wouldn't be hear now would you warrior?''

''That is the downfall I'm afraid. My enemies are just as effective as surviving as yours are impeding you."

''You have three days to weaken the Guardians before our attack on Earth.

"I have been having some trouble with Frost. Brute has strange but I detest him...I detest what he does. Raythor seems capable of keeping him in line, but if we wish not to tip our hands I am going to need more then I have now."

''Tracker...Sniffer...come forth!''

From the hallway emerged two figures. One was a tall cloaked creature with the face of a skeleton and the other was a monstrous black dog. ''My tracking and elimination duo. Sniffer is strong and agile as well as a capable tracker. Tracker is a scout who is powerful in his own right.''

''I think I might be able to whip something up.''

Back on Earth Naruto and Will were having a discussion.

''Will...this is Naruto. Can you meet me at the Desert Shop? We need to talk.''

''What's the emergency?'' Will asked as she sat at the booth joining Naruto.

''Your mom and my guardian have broken up.'' He stated, getting to the point.

''What! Why?'' Will cried out, surprised. 'But they were getting along so well and my mom was so happy.''

''Your mom apparently thinks he attacked you.''

''What!"' Once again Will cried out shock. ''But...that doesn't make sense.''

''Did you mention him in any way? Where your mother could have overheard you?'

''Yesterday...I was attacked by this guy that looked like Karmine and I told Tar...oh no! She must have heard me. It's all my fault.'' she recalled depressed.

Naruto reached out and clutched Will's hand. ''It's not your fault.''

''Yes it is...man how could I be so stupid? I have to fix this!'' Will bolted up and went to the door.

''Will!'' Naruto's cell phone rung. ''Hello?''

''N-Naruto!'' A voice cried out in distress from the other line.

''Cornelia. Are you okay? What's wrong?''

'I'm being followed. I tried to go the Police station but some buildings suddenly combust on fire. I didn't want to lead it home and put my family danger. This voice keeps whispering my name and is getting closer.''

''Where are you?''

''The Aquarium...hurry.'' She said before the cell phone clicked off.

Naruto ascended from the booth and dashed out the door. Dodging past the civilians that crowded the side walk Naruto dashed into the nearest alleyway. Using the invisibility Jutsu Naruto scale along a building using chakra. Then g from the roof tops he did a scan and tried to get a feel for Cornelia's magical signature.

Sure enough he reached the Aquarium which was closed. 'That's right...that girl who is still missing was abducted from here.' Sliding under the police tape he began sniffing in the air. The nearly over powering scent of Earth stung his nostrils. Then there was something else, another scent like graveyard dirt and bones.

Naruto followed the scent through the building. He continued on until he got to the basement door. He walked down the dimly lit steps as he heard the sound of pipes crashing. Reaching the last step he came across the bound form of Cornelia whom was laid on the ground.

''Hang on...'' He said as her muffled screams echoed from the gag. Placing a hand on her shoulder he shushined her just as a glowing green electrical chain crashed down upon their position.

Untying the gad Cornelia inhaled deeply as fresh air entered her lungs. ''You okay?''

''Uugh...I smell like fish and gunk. I need a shower...but I'm okay.''

''What happened?''

''I was on my way home when some tall robed skeleton freaked grabbed me. How did you know it was a trap?''

''Common sense really. I find you in a secluded building tied up, that in itself basically screams trap. It made more sense to grab you and get out of there to decrease our chances of both being captured and ambushed. "

''Well count me for being thankful that you're sensible." She remarked as he promptly undid her bindings.

"You were lucky it was this skeleton thing."He commented.

"Lucky!" She exclaimed in outrage. "What's lucky about me being grab by some boney freak?"

"It could have been the other ones." For a brief moment Naruto's comment lingered until Cornelia picked up on what he was suggested and paled.

''Could we please talk about something else before I lose my lunch?''

''Is there anything you can tell me more about this thing? Like how he was able to catch you? The more we know about their abilities the better we can fight against them."

Cornelia looked at her hand hesitantly. She then hesitantly waved it as the leaves began to sway. ''I couldn't use my power. When I was traveling home the whole way home was odd. I mean everything was out of place.''

''How so?''

''Routines? I mean it seems like a lot of routines or people I just see when walking down the street weren't there.''

''I'm surprise your parents let you travel on your own considering what's been happening.''

''I was supposed to meet up with Irma but she had to cancel at the last minute. That and considering I know a lot of people in the neighborhood and considering all the attacks happened on the far side of Heatherfield with the exception of the Aquarium I was able to convince them I would be more cautious then later. Oh and the fires! They were black but they were definitely hot! I was on the other side of the street and it was smoldering!''

Naruto suddenly jerked up as he finished cutting the bounds on Cornelia's arms and legs. ''Silv!'' Naruto snarled.

''Who?'' she asked,

''Cornelia we need to leave now."

''Now hold on a minute!''

''I know what you're about to say Cornelia, but 'black' fire can't be extinguished by normal means. Even magically enhanced Water would be douched in an instance. First Will and now you. This is no coincidence. I need you to contact Irma, Hay Lin, and Taranee, chances are one of them is next. Where is the fire?''

''West of here about three blocks. ''

Naruto nodded as he stood up and faced West. ''Right...I'll contact you once I deal with the fire and check up on the others.''

''Naruto...thanks!''

Naruto nodded and waved his hand a bit. ''No problem...'' Naruto said as he body flickered away.

Once Naruto had left Cornelia cried out in frustration as she tightened her fists. She hated herself right now, for being weak, for having to play the role of damsel in distress and needing saving.

She was the Guardian of Earth damnit! And yet the Earth wouldn't heed her call. 'I should have trained!' Came to her mind. She remembering Naruto trying to train the girls between the obscure hours of their schedules.

While the Astral Drops were a bit of a saving grace it didn't mean that the girls wanted to miss out on their lives and let the doubles all but replace them.

So after much pleading, whining, and bribery, a combination between the five Naruto relented a bit. So to make up the difference he gave them each a list of exercises and techniques they could practice in their mean time.

Cornelia had glanced at the list maybe once or twice, reasoning she could always come to them later, but having a life was put before ensuring she could keep that life.

While she didn't know about the others this incident definitely steel her resolve to become stronger and to not be helpless.

With Will who was currently upon her red bike Will pedaled down the street. She eventually arrived home of the breezy loft she shared with her mom, she looked around. She looked around, in her sight was the cushy, red couch and bookshelves into a welcoming room. The scent of baked chocolate-chip cookies filled the air.

''She's not here...'' The little dormouse came running toward her. It wrinkled its nose at Will happily, its fluffy tail bobbing with excitement.

''Hey,'' Will said. ''How did you manage to get out of my bedroom?''

Will usually kept her critter locked in her room during the day. It tended to make nests out of anything soft, and it had an uncanny knack for worming its way into the cookie jar. To say it was a nuisance was an understatement.

But today, Will was glad to see the dormouse. It jumped into her arms, then quickly scampered onto her shoulders.

''Hey Dormouse...I don't know what I'm going to do,'' Will admitted to the Dormouse. It nosed at her cheek with a little squeak. ''After all, what am I suppose to say to my mom? I don't even know how to began.''

Will flopped onto the couch. The jolt sent the dormouse bouncing onto her head. She waited for it to jump off again, but the animal seemed to like it up there.

So will shrugged and glanced at the answering machine, which sat on a buffet table behind the couch. Its red light was blinking. Will reached for the PLAY button. ''I bet it's a message from Mom,'' she sighed. Then she assumed her mother's voice and mimicked,''Hello honey! I'll be back late again tonight. Keep your cell phone on so I can find you.'' Will pressed the button.

''Beeeeeeep...it's me, honey!'' Susan's voice echoed from the machine. ''I'll be late tonight. But I'll be bringing something home for dinner. So, keep your cell phone on and...''

Will cut off her off the rest of her mother's message with a jab at the pause button. Then she shot her dormouse a smug smile.

''Did you hear that?'' She crowed. ''I was so right. Okay, let's see if there are any more surprises on here.''

''Hello, Will,'' trilled a young woman. ''It's Vera! I have some great news for you. Come on down to the pool when you can!"'

''Yes! My new swim coach,'' Will cried. ''That's all I need to hear!''

She jumped off the couch, sending the dormouse scampering for footing. Its claws dug into the fabric of the cherry-red couch. But Will didn't have time to reprimand it. She had some place to be.

'I'll get my swim bag and head over to the pool right now,' She thought as she ran out of the room. ''Swimming helps me think, anyway.''

Only a few seconds later, Will was heading for the door, her orange mesh swim bag bouncing at her side. She waved to the dormouse, which was still scampering around on the couch and sniffing at the answering machine.

She had just played a few messages from her mom and was now nearing the end of it's voice queue.

''Off I go,'' Will announced to the dormouse. ''See ya! Don't break anything!''

As Will flounced happily out of the loft, she thought she heard her mother's voice, echoing out of the answering machine once again. Out of habit, she started to pause and listen carefully.

''It's Mom again. I forgot to mention one thing...I love you!''

Will felt a bit warm at this. She then sighed realizing that the conversation she would have to hold with her mom would be a bit difficult.

At the fire Naruto was able to conspicuously put it out. Not too far away a crash and scream was heard. Naruto turned to see a large crowd gathering. People were screaming, someone cried out for an ambulance. He was able to get a glance of what looked like a Sedan speed off and turn the corner. Naruto felt a sense of familiarity as he went over. Blood! He could smell it and he recognized it instantly! Seeing the crumple form of the person he was only able to cry out a single word. ''Taranee!''
