Acid sits at his desk alone as he does homework that just got handed out to them. Three fillies run around the room screaming. One with a flask on her head, and the other two trying to calm her down and get it off her head. Acid ignores it as he finishes his homework right as the bell rings.

He gets up as the teacher helps get the flask off of the filly's head. Acid slids off his chair with a sigh as he closes hi saddle bag. He puts it one before heading towards the door. He steps out of the classroom. He stops and looks up at Twilight and Moondancer waiting out in the hallway. The two looking right at him as he walks over to them. Twilight looks at him with a deadpanned expression while Moondancer gives a timid wave to Acid.

"What do you want? I need to get to my next class," Acid says, raising an eyebrow and cocking his head to the side in confusion. Twilight and Moondancer walk closer to him as Twilight looks around the hallway for anypony listening.

"We just want to ask you something," Moondancer says kindly.

"Are you the student of Princess Celestia?" Twilight asks bluntly. This catches Acid off guard, causing his mind to visable buffer as he process the sudden question. He looks between the two mares as his mind races to find an answer to the question. One finally shows itself and he says with confidence.

"Not a student, I was just getting help from her. You know, with the no magic thing," Acid says, pointing at his bent horn. Twilight looks at the horn, her face softening as the realization sinks into her. Before either of them could respond, Acid closes his eyes and confidently turns around and struts down the hallway with a big smile on his face. The two watch as Acid runs into a pillar. He rubs his head before walking normally.

Twilight walks after him before Moondancer steps in front of her and stops her. "What are you doing?" Moondancer asks, already knowing the answer.

"I don't believe him. I'm going to follow him," Twilight says before walking past Moondancer and following Acid from a distance. Moondancer is left there standing by herself. She thinks for a bit before making her mind up. She turns around and heads to her next class.

Acid sits at a desk inside of a science lab. Celestia stands in front of a blackboard with a piece of chalk in her white magic. "Figuring out how to separate what is important for a machine to work and what is there for show is important to figuring out how it works," Celestia says, drawing a box on the board as a similar box is placed in front of Acid.

The box was brown and had a little black crystal embedded into it. Acid grabs it and looks at it confusingly before raising a hoof. "What has this to do with engineering?" He asks.

"Acid, tell me what you think that box does?" Celestia asks, pointing at the box in his hoofs. He looks down at it and flips it around in his hoof. He places it down and looks back up at Celestia.

"It looks like some kind of camera," Acid says as Celestia walks over to him. She smiles and uses her magic to turn the box so the crystal is pointed to his right side. The box glows as an image starts to flicker onto the table showing a pony walking in place.

"It's what's inside that matters, not what the device is encased in," Celestia says as Acid watches the little pony porduced by the box run on the table. Celestia pushes a hoof on the top of the box. The picture starts to flicker and slows down before vanishing completely. She picks it up with her magic and floats it to a shelf as Acid watches.

"Now I have to go for a few minutes, just think over what I said. I'll be back soon," Celestia says as she walks to the door. Acid nods as Celestia opens the door to walk out. She starts to walk out when she feels a strong magical presence behind the door. She closes it to reveal Twilight standing behind it with a worried expression on her face. She forces a smile as her mind tries to find a way out of the situation she has placed herself into.

"Twilight, were you listening to our conversation?" Celestia asks kindly with a knowing smile. Twilight sighs and nods yes, looking at the ground in shame. "How many times have I told you it's not nice to listen in on other pony's conversation,"

"One thousand two hundred and twenty-five," Twilight says, still looking at the ground in shame.

"You have great potential Twilight." Celestia says, pushing Twilight's face up gently with a hoof. Twilight looks up at Celestia with a neutral look on her face. "I'll be keeping an eye on you from now on. Try and stay out of trouble, ok?" Twilight nodes with a small smile creeping onto her face. The two depart their separate ways.

Twilight stops and looks back at the laboratory Acid is in. She stands there debating whether to go back. She shrugs and walks off to her next class.

Inside Acid has his head in his arms looking at a blue crystal. It's similar to the one in the box, but much more jagged and broken. Acid sits there, looking at the crystal. The bottom was just round enough to keep it standing while the top was pointed. Bumps jolt out and cracks form along the sharp edges of where the stone was cut.

The blue changed from light to dark the further center it was. Acid looks over to the black metal tubing to the crystal's right. It sits just by the edge of the desk. Celestia had used it to explain wormholes a few weeks ago.

His eyes fixed onto the black tubing. It's black color perfect, no dents, no chipping, nothing wrong about it. Acid sits up as the cogs in his brain start to move. His eyes snap from the crystal to the black tube. A smile starts to slowly crawl onto his face as he jumps off the chair and runs over to the cabinets.

He grabs some wires, a few green motherboard computer chips, and a soldering iron. He plugs the iron in before getting to work on the metal tube. He soldiers on the chip to the tubing before connecting the wires. He then implants the crystal into the center of the tube, connecting wires to the crystal. He connects the final few wires to the crystal as Celestia walks in.

She looks over to see Acid concentrated on his work as his horn lights up orange. Sparks fly out of the part where it's bent as the little black collar is enveloped by the same color magic. The crystal glows brightly as the computer chip spins to life. Acid stops his magic as he takes the collar and places it around his horn. It fits in like a horseshoe. Celestia walks over to Acid with a smile on her face.

"Looks like someone has been busy," She says, sitting down next to Acid. "What did you do?"

"I remembered that crystals used to hold magic in the old days! So I connected it to a computer chip that has been put under a mind-reading spell so I can control when the crystal releases magic!" Acid yells, jumping up and down in his chair. "Look! Look!" Acid stops jumping before closing his eyes and gritting his teeth.

His horn is enveloped by the orange magic. The crystal glows brighter as a few sparks fly off from the tip of his horn. The chair from a nearby desk floats into the air before dropping back down to the ground with a hard thud.

Acid slumps against the desk, out of breath and tired. Celestia pats him on the back as he looks up at her.

"See, just as I taught you," Celestia says.

"I don't think so." Acid bluntly states, surprising Celestia with his stament. "I used my already existing knowledge, found some important part of it to help my problem then…" He trails off as he realizes something. "Oooohhhh.."

Celestia smiles and hugs Acid. "It's about lunchtime. I think we should have lunch together," Acid looks up at Celestia with a big smile.

"Really!" Acid yells, sparks flying from his horn in excitement.

"Really," Celestia replies. Acid jumps out of his chair and runs to the door excitedly. Celestia opens the door with her magic and follows him out the door.

Acid opens the door and runs into the house with a big smile. He drops his bag by the door and grabs two crystals out of it, these two are green instead of blue. Acid runs towards the garage, only giving a quick glance to his parents in the kitchen nuzzling each other.

"Hello dad! Hello mom! Goodbye dad! Goodbye mom!" Acid says so quickly it blends together into one long word. Glass and Avi look at each other confusingly before shrugging it off and laughing.

Acid runs into the garage and closes the door. He looks around and spots the new set of wings he was working on sitting on the workbench. Acid runs over to the wings and places the crystal on the table. He looks around the garage for tools.

He grabs the soldering iron and some wires. He puts on soldering glasses before soldering one of the crystals onto one of the wings before soldering the other crystal onto the opposite wing.

Film walks into the house as Avi walks out of the kitchen. "Hello Dad," Film says, placing his bag next to Acid's by the door. The door closes as Avi walks over to Film. Film jumps up and hugs Avi. Avi sits down and fully embraces Film in his hoofs.

"How was your day hot shot," Avi says, messing up Film's new spiky hair.

"No! Stop! Don't mess up my new hair!" Film says, trying to swat at his father's hoof. Avi lets out a deep chuckle before stopping. Film looks up at Avi with a cute pout. Film crosses his hoofs and looks away in anger.

"Sorry, didn't know you cared about your hair," Avi says, standing back up.

"Well, now I do," Film says, standing up too.

"Got a mare to impress?"

"Avi!" Film yells at his dad.

"W-what?" Avi chuckles while raising a hoof and trying his best to look innocent. Glass walks into the living room as she rolls her eyes.

"Film, go to your room. Dinner will be ready in about fifty minutes," Glass says kindly as she walks over to the pair. Film nods and walks off to his room.

He opens the door and walks to his bed. He sits down on his cloud-soft bed as Acid walks in with the wings strapped to his back. He closes the door before walking over to his bed.

"How was your day?" Acid asks, sitting down onto his bed.

"Normal boring stuff and a few bullies," Film replies lazzaly waving a hoof around in the air. "You?"

"Normal chem stuff, but then I created a new thing for my horn. I call it a power collar!" Acid says, pointing to the black collar on his horn. Film gasps in slight excitement.

"When did you have the time to make that?" Film asks.

"I have private lessons with Celestia," Acid says casually as he unstraps the wings. Film's jaw drops at the news.

"You what?!"

"I have lesions with Celestia, what's so surprising?" Acid asks in genuine confusion.

"Not surprising but.." Film says, trailing off as he tries to think. "How long?"

"About a month, but most of it has been boring starter stuff," Acid says, waving a hoof. Film's jaw is threatening to fall off his face at how low it was.

"Have you told mom and dad?" Film asks in slight jealousy.

"Not yet, should I?"

"Ya! You are being taught by the princess herself!" Film says, emphasizing Princess.

"I'll tell them at dinner," Acid replies before throwing the wings on the ground. "I made you new wings. This time the welding is better, I made sure to do everything your friend Fluttershy suggested, and you should be able to get more height,"

"Dang! Your fast," Film exclaims as he hops off the bed to examine the wings.

"Yep, we can try them out after dinner," Acid says as Film straps the new wings on.

"Dinner time!" Their mother's voice yells from the kitchen. The two look at each other and smile before heading to the dining room.

(Time Skip)

Film and Acid run outside as the sun goes down over the Canterlot mountain. Film spreads his larger-than-normal wings as Acid runs a few feet away. Acid turns back around to watch Film stretch his wings out.

"Ok, remember to not go too high!" Acid yells at Film. Film nods as he closes his eyes. Film's wings are brushed by the little breeze. Film takes a deep breath in, the smell of spring fills his nose. The grass brushes the bottom of his legs. He lets out the air very slowly as the magic aura from Acid Flask red aura glows dimly.

The birds overhead glow blue as the sun's light almost blinds his new sensation with its radiant magic. Film takes a breath in before squatting down and raising his wings up over his body. He slightly moves his hoof as the wind starts to lightly blow up in the spot he stands.

Film quickly jumps and pushes his wings down. Shooting him up into the air as the gust of wind hits Acid. Acid covers his face from the wind as Film opens his eyes and does a backflip. He dives down to the ground before flapping again and going back up.

"Acid! I can fly!" Film says, doing circles around Acid only five feet above him.

"That's amazing!" Acid yells back. Glass and Avi stand by the door watching as Film tries to do a little trick while Acid watches with a big smile.

"Sometimes I'm glad we had twins," Glass says mindlessly watching FIlm do a loop.

"Why? They made us go into debt," Avi jokingly replies, nudging Glass in the side. She chuckles before nuzzling Avi's neck.

"No, that's your late-night drinking games with the boys,"

"I'm trying, you know that," Avi says, wrapping his arm around her body as she does the same with his neck.

"I know, but the reason I say that is because I could not imagin their lives with out eachother. They need eachother," Avi looks at Glass with a raised eyebrow. Glass looks at Avi and chuckles. Avi joins the laughing as Film crashes into the ground. Acid runs up to him to help him up.

When Acid helps Film up his rump starts to glow. Acid and Film cover their eyes as the light brightens before dimming back down. Acid and Film lower their hooves as the two look at Acid's rump. Stamped on the side was his cutie mark. It is a flask with an orange liquid inside bubbling. Acid's face lights up as Film smiles.

"I got my mark!" Acid yells in excitement as the two run-up to their parents.
