Acid's eyes slowly open up to the morning light streaming through their window. The light falls onto Film's still sleeping body as it blinds Acid from seeing much. Acid had no time to relax when his stomach stiffened without command. His stomach sloshes as the mussels cramp up. Stomach acid starts to go up his throat.

He leans over the bed and covers his mouth. The hot liquid hits his mouth as the room starts to spin. He swallows, leaving behind a bitter aftertaste. Acid had no time to do anything as his entire body cramps. His back arching back, his hind legs kicking the wall behind him as his horn lets out sparks into the air. Acid does his best to try and cover his mouth as his stomach tries to throw up what was left of his supper.

Film rolls over and looks at Acid with tired eyes. He blinks before realizing what's going on. His eyes widened as he jumped out of his bed. He grabs the trash can and slides it under Acid's head. Acid relaxes and grabs the trash can. He barfs up green liquid as Film pats his back. Glass comes running into the room with Avi close behind, still tired.

"Sweetie, are you ok?" Glass asks as she quickly walks over to Acid's other side. Film stands up as Acid tries to reply. He is interrupted by more barfing. His entire body was tense and shaking. Acid's eye are now devoid of life as they try to escape and roll into the back of his head.

"My body hurts," Acid croaks out before his stomach tries to barf up with nothing, causing Acid to spasm on his bed.

"Come on son, let's get breakfast started," Avi says, placing a hoof on Film's back. Film looks up at Avi in worry. Avi returns the look with a nod and the two walk out of the room while Glass comforts Acid.

The two walk down the hallway towards the living room in silence. Film finally breaks the silence when the two make it to the kitchen. "Will he be ok?" Avi stops and looks at Film with a very serious face.

"I..I don't know," Avi says before heading to cook. Film walks slowly into the living room as he worries about his brother. Film flops down on the couch as many things run past his head. His head buzzes with one thing that scares him out of everything.

Film stands up again and quickly walks over to the bookshelf to get a book to distract himself from his thoughts.

"I think I finally got Acid to sleep with that horrible disease he's fighting," Glass says, walking into the kitchen. Avi turns and hands her a muffin baked for breakfast a few hours ago.

"Thank Celestia it happened on a weekend," Avi replies as Glass munches on the muffin with a slight smile now on her face.

"Hunny, I didn't know you could bake?!" Glass says with surprise in her voice.

"One of many talents I don't usually care to use," Avi says, waving a hoove dismissively. "Besides, you are the better cook," Avi says, nuzzling Glass's cheek.

"Oh you.." Glass giggles as she playfully pushes him away. Glass looks over at Film as her smile fades. "You should take Film out to the park to stretch his wings and I'll get Acid a doctor," Avi looks over at Film Wheel sitting on the couch upside down. The book rests against his legs that are on the side of the couch's back.

Avi walks over to Film as he closes the book. Film looks up at Avi still upside down. "Hey, how would you like to go to the park to stretch a bit?" Avi asks. Film smiles and rolls over before jumping up.

"Of course!" Film yells as he jumps off the couch. The two walk out of the house as Glass writes a letter.

Film flies around the sky just a few feet above his dad. The cool wind pushed against his face. His mind can not get off of his sick brother. He lands on the ground with shaky legs as his wings collapse to the sides of his body.

"I don't know much about flying, but you are getting much better at it," Avi says as Film walks over to him with his head held down. Avi's smile turns into a slight frown as Film sits down next to him. Avi wraps his hoof around Film's back.

"Sorry, I can't get my mind off my brother," Film says, nuzzling into his dad's body. Avi rubs his son's back as he thinks of a response.

"He's going to be ok," Avi replies. Film sighs as he listens to the rhythmic beating of his father's heart. He rubs his face against his dad's soft body, Film lurches a bit as a bubbling feeling starts in his stomach and starts to run up his neck. Film quickly pulls away from Avi. Avi looks at him confusingly as he stands up and places a hoof on Film's back.

"Film, are you.." Avi can't finish his sentence when Film barfs out his breakfast. "Film!" Avi yells as Film's legs start shaking. His face turns green as he falls over. Avi catches him as Film's body convulses uncontrollably. His wings smack Avi in the face, causing him to drop Film to the ground.

"Full Uncle Clane Kamel!" Avi yells in pain as he rubs his face. He then quickly snaps out of it and tries his best to grab Film without Film hurting him and placing him on his back. Avi runs as fast as he can towards the hospital.

Next Day

Glass walks into the house with a saddle bag full of medicine. Avi comes out of the kid's room. He closes the door slowly before turning towards Glass. She walks over to the coffy table in the living room and places the bag down. Avi walks over to Glass.

Glass looks at Avi with worry in her eye. Avi wraps an arm around her back. Glass nuzzled into his neck. They stand there in silence, listening to each other's heartbeats. No words between them were needed to express how scared they were.

"Cancer.." Glass lets slip the one word out of her mouth. She grimaces at her own voice saying it. Her eyes water up as Avi holds her tighter to his body.

"Where?" Avi asks, placing his head on top of her head.

"Stomach for Acid, brain stem for Film," Glass barely says as her voice starts to quiver. Tears start running down her cheeks. Avi's eyes start to water as the reality of what could happen hits him like a brick.

"Acid might survive, but I don't know about Film," Avi says as he strokes his wifes mane. Glass's tears now run down her cheeks like waterfalls. The two sit down while still in each other's embrace.

"I don't want to loss them," Glass says, her voice cracking with every word. Avi hugs her tighter. Letting Glass cry against his neck.

Film, laying in his bed, has his eyes covered with his hoofs. The sun light streaming in cutting his brain like a knife. Acid is curled into a ball holding his stomach trying his best to fall asleep. Acid opens his eyes to look over at Film. Film senses Acid and lifts his left hoof up just slightly so he could look over at Acid.

"Don't worry, we'll get through this," Acid says as confidently as he can. His stomach growls, causing Acid to grunt in pain. "We always get through stuff like this," Acid finally finishes.

"Maby.." Film says, trailing off as he covers his eye again. Acid is taken aback by his brother's response.

"What do you mean, we will push through this like we do with everything else," Acid replies.

"And look where that's got us!" Film snaps back, flinching slightly at his own loud voice. Acid looks at Film in shock. Film rolls over and looks at Acid in the eye. Film's bloodshot eyes stare into Acid's eyes and into his very soul.

"We get bullied, the teachers do nothing. The principal gives them a talk and moves on. And when we get in trouble we get detention and sometimes spanked with the padel. So tell me what's the point of fighting on?" Film rattles off with a completely straight face.

Acid lays there in shock as he thinks over Film's questions. Film lays there waiting for Acid's response. Before Acid can say anything the door opens and their mom walks in with the bag of medical supplies.

Her eyes were bloodshot with dry lines where her tears were. She smiles at the two and walks over to them as she says sweetly, "How are you two doing?" She sits down trying to hide her fear and sadness behind the warm, motherly smile.

"Stomach still hurts," Acid replies as Glass pulls out some pill bottles.

"My eyes feel like they are going to burn," Film says, covering his eyes again.

"These should help," Glass says, opening up the pill bottles with her magic. Avi walks in with two cups of water as the two pills are floated to the two colts. Acid grabs it with his magic as Film sits up and grabs his. Avi hands the two each a glass of water.

The two put the pill in their mouth and take a drink of water. Acid lurches as his stomach gurgles. Film lays back down and faces first into the pillow. Acid covers his mouth as he attempts to keep the pill in his stomach.

Avi and Glass walk out of the room as they close the door. Film rolls back onto his side as Acid again lurches. "I think they are hiding something from us," Film states plainly. Silence covers the two like a heavy blanket. Only the sounds of Acid trying not to throw up can be heard. Acid finally stops lurching before he lays down again.

"To stand up for others," Acid says as he coughs. Film looks over at Acid, slightly confused. "You asked me what the point of fighting is," Acid says, looking over at Film. "To stand up for others who can't fight and are less fortunate than us. To love those who are unloved. We got lucky with our parents, imagine if we ended up with…" Acid trails off as he thinks of an example.

"Gilda," Film replies. Acid looks up at Film. Now it was his time to look confused. "She's one of Dash's friends, she sucks. I don't know why Dash likes her,"

"I'm going to assume Gilda's parents aren't nice?" Film shakes its head yes. "See, if we ended up with her parents, we would be kicked to the dirt," Acid says confidently. Film rolls onto his other side away from Acid. Film's ears flop to the side of his head as tears start to form in his eyes.

"Thank you," Film whispers. Acid doesn't hear and is now worried he said something wrong. He rolls onto his side away from Film before the two get some needed rest.
