Chapter 22

1 week later

"Hey Harry. Did you hear?" Hermione asked.

"Hear what?" Harry asked.

"Professor Flitwick is calling Ravenclaws to his classroom at 2pm today. 4th year and above." Hermione said.

"I know you are wondering why I called you all here. On Christmas eve an event will be held in the great hall: the Yule Ball. It has been a tradition of the Triwizard tournament ever since it was created. It is foremost a dance." Flitwick said.

"Quiet. We and our guests will gather in the great hall for a night of well-mannered frivolity me and my fellow heads of house expect you to put your best foot forward. The Triwizard champions are required to dance first after that everyone else can join in." Flitwick said.

'That's right. Since Hagrid can't keep a secret he had his memory erased during second year so he doesn't know about my dragon form.' Harry thought.

"I know how much you love dragons Hagrid but I was exploring with my Dad one day and found some old ruins and as a kid you don't know the dangers and I touched a tablet and it gave me the ability to speak to them. I don't think it can be taught." Harry lied.

Harry then lifted up two trees with both his hands while Hagrid dragged the third one. When they reached the castle grounds Hagrid went to the Beauxbatons carriage while Harry went to the ship. After Harry dropped off one of the trees he went to the castle and put it in the great hall. Flitwick gave 40 points and Harry sat at the usual spot at the Ravenclaw table where the others were sitting.

"Where's Hagrid?" Daphne asked.

"Beauxbatons carriage." Harry said.

"I think he has a thing for the Beauxbatons headmistress." Susan said.

"I've noticed that as well." Harry said.

"Harry. We need to talk about the ball." Tonks said.

"I knew you'd bring this up. I don't want to hurt any of you by asking one of you out." Harry said.

"We know. We worked something out. As we know you, Fleur, Krum and Cedric have to dance first. You and Fleur could go together." Tonks said.

"Yes. We already knew that you'd be struggling to ask one of us to the dance. So we decided that this would the best thing to do. As long as we get to dance with we're not bothered." Daphne said.

"I'm guessing that you'll have to find other dates since you don't want to go on your own." Harry said.

"Not all of us. Neville asked me to go as friends. Have you seen how he looks at Hannah Abbott?" Susan asked.

"I've noticed." Harry said.

Then Viktor Krum came up to them.

"Hey Viktor. How are you today?" Harry asked.

"I'm good my friend." Viktor said.

"What brings you to our table?" Daphne asked.

"Viktor Krum asked me to the ball." Hermione said.

2 weeks later

Harry stood in his dress robes waiting for Fleur. He saw Cedric with Cho Chang. He saw James enter the castle.

'What is he doing here?' Harry thought.

James saw him and they both glared at each other. Viktor then walked up to Harry.

"Hey Harry. Who are you waiting for?" Viktor asked.

"Fleur. I think Hermione is still in the Ravenclaw common room getting ready." Harry said.

"How long have you two known each other?" Viktor asked.

"Champions form a line." Mcgonagall said.
