Chapter 3

The drive toward the bar was the heaviest drive Sam went through in years… he didn't feel this somber and lost since the day he brought Riley home from the hospital. Sam blinked his eyes several times as he managed to park near the only bar in their small town; sitting in his car in a daze, Sam stare at the distance with a blank mind, wondering what he was going to do, after such heavy and shocking news.

Sam could only stare at the neon sign in thoughtless shock; part of him still refused to believe what had been taking place in Steve's home for a week now, especially with how stupid Steve was to bring in an assassin and then starts taking care of him. The dominating part, the sad and horrified part, could only gaze in stunned silence at the news of Steve's long-dead mate being back after 80 years as Hydra assassin and agent. How was that even possible? It was like seventy years ago, the Omega should be at least in his nineties or eighties at the latest. The Omega shouldn't be alive for so long unchanged unless he was one of their kind, which presents so much trouble and questions as to how did Hydra manage to capture one of their kind to turn James Barnes; a development that would change everything once the news gets out.

Steve never talked about his mate, even after years and years of knowing the Alpha; the information Steve let slip about his mate was like having a tooth being pulled out, hard and painful. It wasn't for the lack of love or because Steve doesn't like to think about his mate; it was because every time Steve mention his mate, he would end up crushed and lost like he was miles and miles away.

From what Sam managed to pull from Steve, the last time Steve saw his mate was when James Barnes enlisted in the army; because back then it was all about Steve being drafted one way or another because he was an Alpha, ignoring his grocery list of health issues. In the end, James was the one who decided to bite the bullet and enlist in Steve's stead, and Steve couldn't even protest or object at the stupid decision of his mate, not when he was attacked the same night and ended with him being pronounced dead.

Or at least that was the general summary Steve told him when everyone managed to get him drunk enough to talk and not gaze at his cup like a statue, and by drunk, they have to go through the whole storage room in the bar before the man even becomes tipsy. Sam knew that there was so much more than the Alpha wasn't telling them; so much more than Steve holds close to his heart and suffers from. But now? Now there was an Omega who was telling them that he was James Buchanan Barnes (Or what's left of him, if the snipped information was anything to go by) now, Steve was stuck with a ghost with the same face as his mate… a ghost that left the Alpha shaking and unbalanced.

Now, Sam was as confused as Steve if not more, because they have a supposedly dead mate turn assassin that the Avengers are after. What was Sam going to do? Knowing Steve, the Alpha would do anything to protect his mate, even if it meant exposing himself and being subjected to the government. If Steve handed himself on a silver plate to the Avengers, what does it mean for the rest of their town? Sam knew that Steve would protect them and that he would make sure to never involve anyone in his problems even if he ended up taking James and running away from the town. Steve was a family, he was one of the elders and the most likely to be the pack leader if the man just stopped avoiding everyone like they were a plague; Steve was a friend, a family, and a leader, and Sam needed to find a way to help him with his mate's situation, even if he had to talk with the other elders and find a way.

Letting out a tired sigh, Sam finally gathered his runaway thoughts and get out of the car, heading to the bar, with a frown taking over his face. Part of Sam was going through everyone that was willing to help, not only that but the people and the elders who would take Steve's side and try to convince the others that James Barnes was not a threat to the town, by the principle of him being Steve's mate and one of their kind.

"Hey, Sami, where is Stevie?" Someone called out as soon as Sam entered the bar, causing the Beta to blink his eyes and turn to the source of the sound, only to see Angie sitting beside one of her friends Dottie or whatever-her-real-name-was (A strange Alpha that comes and goes to the town as she please, with too many secrets for Sam's liking) Sam paused at that, wondering how lucky was he to have one of the elders coming to the bar now of all time.

"He couldn't come… he is busy…" Sam ended up saying, not knowing if it was going to be wise to tell Angie everything while the bar was full of people who wouldn't mind sending the news of the Winter Soldier being here to the wrong party.

"Is that so? How boring, I wanted to chat a little more with Steven, about his wayward mate…" Dottie said, sipping from her whisky as she sends Sam a knowing look, causing the Beta to stop from taking an uncomfortable step back. Dottie always had this canny ability to make anyone uncomfortable and fear for their safety, and her unhealthy obsession with Steve, and the knowledge she had about, made everyone equally wonder if she felt something for him, or if she was just obsessed.

The last part of Dottie's speech made Sam pause and look at the Alpha with wide eyes, the way she was looking at Sam informed the Beta that she knew something she shouldn't; not something surprising at all, especially when Steve usually labels her as a Russian spy, a label that most people around here ignore (Even if it was true) especially with this place being a safe haven for their kind. "What do you know?" Sam ended up asking as he took the free seat at the table, deciding to let secrecy goes now that Dottie seemed to imply something.

His question causing Dottie to take another sip from her whisky and letting out a hum, the sharp smile on her lips caused Sam to frown and for Angie to sigh and no doubt steps on Dottie's foot in a warning to make the Alpha talk. "Nothing, really…" Dottie offered, causing Sam to grit his teeth, knowing that the Alpha knows more than she lets on and probably won't tell them anything because she was still sulking about Steve ignoring her. "James Buchanan Barnes, right? The only howling commando who died in the line of duty… Peggy Carter's fiancé… or that's what history books like to imply." Dottie stated, distaste showing clearly on her face as she lower her glass to the table, her words causing Sam to scrunch his nose, knowing dammit well how the history book like to exaggerate Peggy Carter and James Barnes's interaction with each other.

"Oh, please, everyone knows that's not true in the slightest; James Barnes wouldn't be one of the howling commandos if he was Carter's mate. The military knows that, everyone knows that, even Barnes's family confirmed that. But people are so stupid for still believing that Carter and Barnes had a secret relationship." Angie huffed, rolling her eyes at the no doubly stupid theory that everyone loved to return and confirm as the most romantic shit. Romeo and Juliet of the twenty century, that's what people start referring to Bucky Barnes and Peggy Carter's relationship; a stupid and insulting theory, especially, when Bucky Barnes' mate was holing himself in his hermit cottage since the sixties.

"You knew Steve's mate was alive, didn't you?" Sam hissed, his eyes not straying away from Dottie who gave him that infuriating smirk and knowing eyes; Sam really wanted to take the fork in front of him and stab her with it, but he knows it would end with him losing his eyes and not the other way around. The harsh intake of breath from Angie informed Sam that the Alpha didn't know the information that Dottie no doubt hide and waited until she saw something interesting to barge this information with. Sam never knew what Steve saw with this crazy woman that he let her go and come as she please, if it was up to him, Sam wouldn't even let her come near their town even if she was the last one of their kind.

"I suspected," Dottie said in her none challenged voice, shrugging as she raised her eyebrow at the angry looks both Sam and Angie were sending her. "That's why I came to the town, after the events of DC I decided to investigate a little bit, mainly to see the reason why Peggy Carter was so desperate to find the Winter Soldier." Dottie clarified, her answer causing Sam to press his lips tightly and nod to her so she can continue her explanation. "The name James Barnes came a few times while I was searching, so I came here to ask Steve about his mate and the circumstances surrounding the Omega's death." Sam pressed his lips tightly, wondering what would have happened if Dottie managed to corner Steve and tell him all this information before he met the Winter Soldier, he knew that the outcome would turn out more disastrous than Steve finding his mate in the snow on the verge of death.

"What did you find?" This time it was Angie who asked, her face was blank but the anger in her scent informed everyone that, there would be dire consequences if someone didn't give one of the elders in this village the answer she wanted.

"Are you sure you wanted to know?" Dottie asked, her lips were pulled into a mocking grin, but both Sam and Angie can see the weariness in her eyes, informing them that whatever they were about to be privy on, wouldn't be something for those with light stomachs; Angie and Sam though, glanced at each other with a thoughtful look before turning to Dottie and nod their heads, causing the Alpha to press her lips tightly and nod her head once. "Very well, I will bring the files tomorrow… I just hope you won't regret what you are about to see…" Dottie warned, causing Sam to swallow and sit straight in his chair…

He couldn't help but think he just sold his soul to the devil…

The asset… no Winter (He was Winter now, Handler Rogers gave him his new orders so he was Winter) sat on the sofa ramrod straight, not moving an inch ever since Handler Rogers went outside last night. It had been exactly 10 hours, 42 minutes, 52 seconds, since Handler Rogers left Winter after he gave him his new orders before he left to attend the business he had in mind, leaving Winter alone in the living room.

Winter didn't know what to do when his Handler left him alone, the Alpha never gave Winter any additional orders to what he is to do (He, Winter was He/Him not it), after his departure; with no farther orders and instructions, Winter waited for his handler to come back, not moving an inch from the sofa, even when he's hurt and his bladder screamed at him to empty itself, or when his eyes started to drop because of tiredness. Winter sat waiting for his handler to come back, hoping to show Handler Rogers that he was a loyal asset that would follow his orders without complaint (Even when he doesn't even know the orders to begin with)

Status: Functional Up To 89%... Winter blink when a yawn nearly managed to leave his lips, the action caused the asset to frown harshly, wondering why his body was failing to function now of all time, was it a residual of his previous injuries? If it was then Winter needs to reevaluate the injuries he has, making sure they are not going to affect his function. The asset used to stay away for more than six days if needed, Winter used to sit still for hours on ends, days, if his handlers ordered him to. For Winter to have his body going against him and show signs of weariness and tiredness was concerning…

Winter needs to find a solution for this problem, if not, Handler Rogers may send him back to the labs for maintains… Winter does not want to be strapped to the Chair; he does not want scientists to surround him like ants circling their dead prey. Winter needs to reach 100% capacity and fast before Handler Rogers saw how useless the asset really was.

Winter blinked his eyes, frowning as he saw the sky outside light up as the sun rose; where was his handler? Winter could only wonder, part of him was terrified of something to happen to his handler, another part wanted to search for the Alpha and protect him, but the fear of the intense punishment Winter would receive if he disobeyed his handler and left the cabin made him freeze in his place. Handler Rogers did not give him permission to leave the living room, Handler Rogers never order him to move from his sitting place; Winter was not going to disobey his handler by moving away from the sofa, nor was he going to disrespect the man by sleeping, even when it meant that the healing process would go faster.

A few minutes later Winter managed to catch sounds of footsteps coming from outside the cabin, which caused him to straighten in his seat, heart pounding as he tried to appear as alert as he can, and not like he was about to fall asleep not a few seconds ago. The sound of the door opening, caused Winter's breath to hitch, and for his hands to clench into fists over his knees before he forced them to relax, not wanting Handler Rogers to get angry with his attitude.

"Winter…?" Handler Rogers' voice, caused Winter to turn his head to the source of the sound, his heart rate elevated when he saw his handler's clothes rumbled and him looking disheveled, what happened? Did someone attack Handler Rogers while Winter was waiting for him? "What are you doing here? You were supposed to stay in bed, resting." Handler Rogers stated which caused Winter's heart to drop and for horror to choke him rending him unable to speak.

Winter had disobeyed his handler… Winter had disobeyed and misunderstood his handler's orders… Handler Rogers was going to punish him, he was going to send him to the Chair, he was… "You didn't give me orders to relocate, Sir…" Winter said, his voice cracking as he said these words, already knowing that his punishment was going to be worse, not only because he kept disobeying his handler, but because he continue to talk back and question the Alpha every step of the way.

Winter just brace himself for the pain that was going to follow, trying not to shake at the possibility of being sent to the chair and have his mind and body hurting once more. "I… you… you don't need my permission to move around the cabin… you are allowed to go anywhere you want…" Handler Rogers said after a while, his face was scrunch like he just swallowed something bitter.

The asset… Winter… swallowed and nodded his head, standing up slowly as to not have his handler remove this privilege he was bestowed on just now, even when he just made a grave mistake. "Thank you, Sir," Winter whispered, his gaze not leaving Handler Rogers, trying to see what the Alpha was about to do, hoping the man won't decide to punish him.

The two of them stayed in silence while looking at each other; Winter was wondering what his handler is thinking while trying to find a way for his handler to not get angry with him, a silence like this usually meant bad things, so Winter swallowed and prepared himself for his punishment. "Why… why don't I prepare breakfast? You can go and sleep after that…" Handler Rogers said which made Winter blink his eyes, not knowing what to do with his handler's order.

Was Handler Rogers giving him a reward? Did something good happen to Handler Rogers? Or did the asset do a good job in protecting the house from invaders that Handler Rogers decided to reward him? Food… Handler Rogers was giving Winter food like the asset doesn't need to fight his enemies or comply with his orders to prove that he deserves a reward. Handler Rogers didn't stay to hear the asset's reply, not that Winter had any reply to give after such shocking news. Slowly Winter swallowed as he followed his handler, making sure not to disturb the man lest he decided that Winter does not deserve the reward of nutrition and rest.

Winter studied his handler as the Alpha went to the kitchen, turning on, the small TV there, and stilled it on the news before he started to prepare breakfast. Winter could only swallow softly as he saw Handler Rogers bring food out of the fridge to prepare, wondering what kind of food the Alpha would make that required him to prepare a feast for six people or so.

"…The search for the Winter Soldier continues… Captain Carter was sighted in New York… the Avengers are on the hunt to find the infamous Hydra assassin…"

The mention of his alias caused Winter to turn his head to the TV, watching with rabid attention as the news reporters goes on and on about what happened Post-DC and how Captain Carter stress on not engaging with the Winter Soldier while ordering people to call the Avengers hotline if there was any sighting of the assassin. Winter could only press his lips tightly as he saw Captain Carter in a conference, wearing her suit and gazing at everyone harshly as she informed the public about the Hydra purge the Avengers were doing with the help of the FBI, CIA, and many secret intelligent agencies.

"She is going to strike fear in everyone with this stunt she pulled." Handler Rogers huffed; a displeased look on his face as he shut the TV down before returning to his job of plating the eggs before putting them on the island. His handler's words caused Winter to blink his eyes, wondering why his handler was so annoyed with such a good strategy that will benefit Hydra.

"It is a good strategy, Sir, one that would give Hydra the advantage," Winter spoke in a soft voice, deciding that he would be bold to speak up; so far, his handler didn't punish him no matter how much he talked back and spoke without consent, and part of Winter couldn't help but push on, wondering how far Winter can push before his handler snap and punish him.

"Striking fear is the fastest way for chaos and rebellion, that's true; but we are not Hydra, Winter." Handler Rogers stated before putting the last dish on the island before starting to wash the few pans after signing to Winter to sit in the stool set to eat; his words causing Winter to blink in confusion, what does Handler Rogers meant by them not being Hydra? "The next thing you know the Avengers hotline would ring every second with people claiming to spot the Winter Soldier because they were paranoid, or people claiming the neighbor they hate or one of their enemies are Hydra. By the end of the month, chaos and panic would swarm the country, and even Captain America and the Avengers would be helpless to face that." Handler Rogers explains causing Winter to blink in shock at how much thought his handler gave to Captain Carter's action. "You still haven't touched your plate, is the food not to your liking?" Handler Rogers asked after he took a seat on the other side of the island, getting prepared to consume his food.

The sentence snapped Winter out of his amazement shock, causing him to glance at his plate that was primed with eggs, sausages, and pancakes, not to forget the many different side dishes full of fruit, cheese, crackers, and sweet things. "N-no, Sir, I am waiting for your permission to eat." Winter stuttered, fearing that he displeased handler Rogers and that the Alpha would refuse him to consume his breakfast.

Winter could only watch as Handler Rogers's face went through the familiar but complicated expressions that cross over his face when he thought the asset did something… not wrong… but his handler was still displeased. "You don't need my permission to eat, Winter, every time you are hungry you have the right to go and eat whatever you want from the fridge or tell me to buy it to you if nothing was to your liking." Handler Rogers finally spoke after a while of silence causing Winter to gaze at his handler in shock and confusion. It took a few more minutes of the men gazing at each other before Winter finally dared to raise his fork, taking the first bite before relaxing when Handler Rogers didn't do anything other than start eating his breakfast…

Handler Rogers was a strange Alpha…

Winter woke up with a gasp, clutching the blanket in his hands tightly as he gazed around the place frantically, trying to see the invisible foe that left him shaking and confused in his place. Sweat covered his body, causing Winter to shiver when the cold air hit his exposed skin. His mind was still buzzing with all the broken orders and sounds that blinded him in his sleep.

"Winter? Are you OK? I heard screaming." Handler Rogers's voice came from behind the bedroom door, it was a few minutes later with the asset not answering that the door opened and Handler Rogers entered the room with concern coloring his face, causing the asset to hold into the whine that wanted to be let out. "Nightmares?" Handler Rogers asked, and Winter wanted desperately to say no; every time Winter ended up having a nightmare or a dream it meant that he would be sent to the chair, but if Handler Rogers discovered that he lied, the punishment would be much worse than the chair.

"Y-yes, Sir…" Winter answered the question, hating himself when he stuttered against his will, the fear of his handler hurting him not only because of his nightmare but because of him not giving the respect of a clear answer intensified.

Handler Rogers frown as his eyes seemed to scan Winter's body, making the Omega feel expose than he felt even when he was covered by warm blankets and clothes. Handler Rogers raised one of his hands and the asset tried desperately not to flinch, trying not to tense as he waited for the slap that he no doubt earned. Instead of being slapped as he thought, Handler Rogers's hand came and rested gently on his forehead swiping an unruly lock of hair before giving Winter a gentle smile. "Why don't I prepare you a bath? I am sure you would be more relaxed after." Handler Rogers offered, causing Winter to blink and tilt his head in confusion. What does bath mean? Was it another word for the Chair?

Before Winter managed to open his mouth and protest, Handler Rogers was already outside the room, leaving Winter shaking in his place at the thought of being thrown in the chair; Winter thought he was doing fine, he thought he was following his handler's orders to the T… Winter swallowed as he stood up, shaking as he started to follow his handler for his punishment, it was better to go willing than to have his handler come and search for him.

Following his handler, Winter's eyebrows furrowed when he didn't see the labs or the Chair anywhere, in fact, Handler Rogers just relocated them to the bathroom. "A bath would help you relax your muscles… after that we are going to have dinner, considering that you slept through lunch…" Winter managed to catch a few snipped of words when he saw Handler Rogers kneeling in front of a huge tube, running one of his hands through the water while the other was adjusting the flow. "There, all set, the shampoo, and conditioner are in the cabins, I will put some fresh clothes on the cabins…" Handler Rogers said after he stood up, ready to leave.

The asset could only gaze at the handler in confusion, not knowing what to do and how to proceed with nothing but vague instruction. "W-what… is a bath?" Winter decided to ask before Handler Rogers left, not wanting to be punished for failing to do as he instructed because his handler didn't explain something to him probably. Was 'Bath' a code for torture? Or was it something else completely?

Handler Rogers stopped in his place and gazed at Winter with the same expression that Winter always saw on the Alpha's face, every time he asked him to clarify something; Winter wondered if his handler was thinking he was stupid or an outdated asset. "It's… like a shower but…" At the confused look Winter send, Handler Rogers took a deep breath and ran one of his hands through his beard. "It's something you do to get clean." Handler Rogers explains in the most basic terms causing Winter to furrow his brows and looks around the room, if Handler Rogers wanted the asset clean, then where was the hose?

"Should I wait outside the cabin for the preparation, Sir?" Winter tried not to wince at the thought of being hosed down in the snow outside, but that was not the worse Winter had to endure, and maybe Handler Rogers would even let him back inside after finishing with cleaning him; at Handler Rogers confused face the asset tilts his head. "For the hosing down process." Winter clarified, trying not to wince at the horrified wide eyes Handler Rogers was sending him.

Handler Rogers opened and closed his mouth several times like he wanted to say something but no words coming into mind. "I… y-you… We are not Hydra…" Handler Rogers hissed his voice cracked as he swallowed. "We are not Hydra, which means no Chair, no hosing down… no… no more... we are not Hydra…" Handler Rogers stated, his words causing the asset's heart rate to increase drastically at the declaration… no Chair? Was that true? No more 'Chair', no more beating down… no more… no more…

"I understand, Sir…" Winter whispered in a breathless voice, not knowing what to do with this information. No more Hydra… information like that, would have activated one of his lesser protocols to deactivate himself, least an enemy get hold of him and extracted the secrets and information Hydra kept, but ever since The Original Protocol was activated, many, if not all of the protocols Winter used to follow are null if Handler Rogers refuse to activate them once more.

"OK… just… just take your clothes off and to take a shower…." Handler Rogers murmured after a few minutes of suffocating silence, causing Winter to blink and start stripping his clothes down, leaving him naked as he made his way to the shower space his handler prepared for him doing exactly as the Alpha instructed. From the corner of his eyes, Winter saw his handler go to one of the cabins and rummage through it before getting many bottles out, making the asset wonder what were those bottles used for.

It was five minutes, ten tops before Winter finished with his shower and went to the tube as the Alpha ordered, at first when Winter but his toes in the tube, he flinched when hot water greeted him, causing him to take a deep breath through his nose as he bites his bottom lip before getting into the tube; shivering when the hot (Warm?) water encased him in its grip. It took a few seconds of sitting ramrod straight before he let out a sigh as the hot water managed to relax his muscles; Winter could only gaze at the water in wonder as he tilt his head to the side, sniffing at the water when he detected a delicate and relaxing fragrant coming from it.

"It's lavender." Handler Rogers explain when he came to stand beside Winter, causing the asset to blink in surprise and turn to his handler to see him coming to stand beside the tube. "Its aroma would help you stay calm and relaxed… I usually take a hot bath every time I have a rough night… lean forward." Handler Rogers instruct softly causing Winter to lean down, nearly jumping from his skin when he felt the Alpha's hands on his back.

To Winter's surprise, the Alpha did not hurt him or stab him while facing the asset's back, instead, he softly start rubbing his back with soft clothes, causing the asset to close his throat around a purr that wanted to be let out. Handler Rogers's hands were gentle as they roamed his back and shoulder, becoming feather-light as they came near his metal arm.

Bu the time Handler Rogers finished washing his body, the asset nearly slide under the water from how relaxed and sleepy he was; it was the first time the asset felt this relax, his body for once not hurting that much when he moved around. "Lean your head back, I am going to wash your hair." Handler Rogers whispered softly causing Winter to blink his eyes, and lean back, gazing at the ceiling, and trying to catch Handler Rogers's eyes. "I… I wasn't laughing at you…" Handler Rogers whispered after a while, snapping Winter from the blissful experience he was going through, Winter never knew that touching his hair could be this relaxing, having only felt his previous handlers pulling his hair harshly which always hurt his head and scalp. "You… you said that you saw me laugh at you in your memories… I wasn't laughing at you." Handler Rogers explained, causing Winter to blink his eyes and gaze at the Alpha who had a faraway look in his eyes. "I was… laughing with you… I… I wasn't mocking you or making fun of you… I was laughing with you because we both experienced something funny…" Handler Rogers whispered gently as he leaned Winter's head back gently before he started to wash the suds away from his hair.

Winter could only blink in confusion when Handler Rogers choose to explain why he was laughing in the asset's memories, laughing with him? What's the difference between laughing with him and laughing at him? Laughing was laughing, and Winter saw his handlers laughing when he was in their presence throughout the years because of many different things. Winter does not care about the reason why Handler Rogers was laughing, the asset was used to his handlers laughing at him when he was thrashing in the chair, when he tried to curl into a ball when they hosed him down with freezing cold water, or even when they stood beside the asset to scare the fresher recruits. Winter does not know why his handler needed to clarify something so unimportant to him; Winter though, ended up nodding his head, not wanting his handler to get annoyed by his lack of reaction.

"…And… you don't have to call me Sir or Handler or any of those words… Steve is fine… you can call me by my name or by my surname, Rogers if it makes you comfortable… just… just please don't call me Handler…" Handler Rogers continued, causing the asset to open his mouth to protest before he close it and nods his head; the asset is to always obey his handlers if Handler Rogers doesn't want to be called by his title, then Winter would make due with calling him by his first name (Steve) or last name (Rogers) as the Alpha ordered… was it because they were undercover? The asset blinked as he filed that possibility for another time. "Also… you don't need my permission to do anything… if you felt hungry then you can go and eat, or if you are tired, you go and rest, you don't have to wait for hours in someplace because I didn't order you to move… you are free to do what you like and want…" Handler Rogers started to wash his hair once more, using a different bottle this time.

Free? Handler Rogers was a strange Alpha, it made the asset let out a confused noise as he continued to gaze at the Alpha's face upside down, wondering from where these contradicting orders were coming. The asset was the asset, he was meant to obey his handlers and do as they liked, he was the Fist of Hydra and their most experienced and sought after weapon; the asset was supposed to report his every move to his handlers, so why was Handler Rogers giving him space to do what he wants? Was Handler Rogers lessening the lash on the asset to test his loyalty?

"We are done…" Handler Rogers said after he rinsed the asset hair for the second time, causing the asset to open his mouth in surprise; since when did the asset lose time by thinking so much? "Just take a quick rinse in the shower; I would bring you clothes when you are done." Handler Rogers instructed before leaving the bathroom, causing the asset to open and close his mouth in confusion once again.

Following the Alpha's instruction, and rinsing his body in the shower; his mind was still going through the strange instructions and orders his handler gave him, leaving him a confused mess in his wake. Winter never met a handler as strange as Handler Rogers, a Handler who refused to punish him and send him to the chair… Handler Rogers was an Alpha of a different verity that Winter needed to discover.

It was a few minutes later before Handler Rogers was back in the bathroom, helping the asset dry his hair and body, before applying the ointment to his shoulder, bandaging it, and helping him dress in the soft clothes he brought with him…

Handler Rogers was really strange…

Initiating… initiating… initiating the…

Omegas they are useless… useless… useless…

Winter blinked his eyes open, gazing around the place, letting out a whine when he saw himself naked and chained to the floor, looking around the place, his breath hitched when he saw people standing around him… surrounding him… pointing their fingers at him as they hissed and snarled and growled at him.

De only ting Omegas are good at is breedin' and pleasin' deir Alphas! Okay? So don't act like yuh are any different, boy, that's all yuh are good fawh…

No, no, no, no! winter gasped as he looked around the place, trying to free himself from the shackles that chained him to the floor; the shackles refused to budge, causing the asset to let out a terrified whimper, looking around the place hoping to find something to free himself with.

If you are good and listen to Handler… then there would be no Chair…

Initiating…. I-i-i-i-initiating-g-g-g….

"I… I…" Winter tried to call out, hoping that if he called Handler Rogers and apologies to him, the man would take pity on him and take him away from this place; a whine left the asset when no sound left the asset's mouth no matter how many times he opened his mouth to scream.

P-p-p-p-put him down…

Not a suitable breeding stock… killed Handler…

P-p-put him d-d-d-d-down…

"I am sorry… I am sorry, Handler Rogers, please, I am sorry!" Winter called out, thrashing in his place as he tried to curl his body away from the grappling hands that came closer and closer to him; where was Handler Rogers? Winter needed to find Handler Rogers and convince him that he was sorry, so the Alpha would take him back.

Don't listen tuh dem, sweetheart…

Winter gasped when he heard Handler Rogers voice, desperately, Winter looked around the place frantically, trying to find the source of the sound, hoping that if he apologies enough, the Alpha would take him away from this place and back to the cabin, where there is no chair, no beating down, and no scientists and labs.

Alphas' job is tuh protect deir Omegas… t-t-t-they are… w-w-w-w-w-wrong…

A-A-A-A-Alphas… p-protect… t-t-their mates and c-c-c-children….

I-I-I-Initiating t-t-t-t-t-the…

Winter let out a gasp when he felt a hand sliding over his eyes, causing him to thrash around to dislodge the person who took hold of him; a scream left his mouth as the words started to repeat inside his head over and over again, leaving the asset twitching and in pain…
