Acid paces in front of the door to the church hall. He is dressed in a black tuxedo with a white undershirt and a black bow tie along with a pair of black pants. Worry is spread across his face as his heart races. His heart is almost pumping into his throat as his lungs try to keep supplying his brain with oxygen. Film walks into the entrance hall to see Acid pacing in front of the door. Film walks up to him with worry on his own face.
"Hey, Acid, you ok?" Film asks as Acid stops in front of him.
"No, not at all," Acid responds before going back to pacing.
"What's wrong?" Film asks, tilting his head to the side. "You aren't getting cold hoof are you?"
"No!" Acid yells, turning around quickly to face him. "I mean no," Acid says, with a much more acceptable volume. "I'm marrying the love of my life, that's not what's bothering me,"
"Then what is it?" Film asks, slowly walking up to Acid. Acid takes a deep breath before sighing as Film places a hoof on Acid's shoulder.
"I've always been patient, I've gone at the speed of others. Me and Moon spent four years dating before we even moved in with each other," Acid starts. "While it's amazing I'm marrying Moon, and it's definitely meant to be," Acid says with a big smile. "It feels like I've never been in control, and it's not just with Moon. I feel that way with a lot of things. I feel like I'm just a doormat to other ponies,"
"You're not a doormat," Film replies sternly. "You are a wonderful, kind, smart, and caring pony. To the point where you let others decide how fast you go with their relationship with you. It's not because you're a doormat, but because you care about their feelings," Film finishes, lowering his hoof down.
"Thanks," Acid says with a big smile. "I needed that," Acid's smile turns into a cheeky smile as he looks over Film. "Really?" Acid laughs out.
"What?" Film asks. "Do I have something on my face?" Film asks, rubbing his face with his hoof.
"No," Acid shakes his head. Now without the worry in his head, he properly takes in Film's choice of clothing. He is wearing a night time blue dress with lighter blues streaking across the dress. Its fabric almost looks as soft as silk with how light it looks. "You're wearing the dress I dragged your prom with," Acid says.
"Oh,"Film looked back at his dress. "Ya, I kind of liked the design, so I used it for this one." Film turns back to Acid. "You like it?"
"You look beautiful Film," Acid replies with a small smile. Film smiles as he puffs up his chest a bit in prid.
"Thank you," Film replies. "You look handsome,"
"Thanks," Acid replies with a genuine smile. The two stand there for a few seconds in silence, smiling at eachother. Film's smile falters as a question comes to his head.
"Did Avi show up?" Film asks, tilting his head to the side.
"Actually, yes," Acid replies with a bit of shock on his face.
"Really?" Film replies with slight shock in his voice and in his face. "I would think of all ponies not to show up, it would be him,"
"He said something about not agreeing with your decision, but supporting it anyways," Acid says, scratching his chin. "I can't entirely remember, that day was crazy,"
"No kidding," Film responds as the organ in the church starts to play. Their ears rotated towards the sound before they turned their head to the door. Film takes a deep breath as Acid steps closer to him.
"Are you ready for this, best stallion?" Acid asks, holding his arm up.
"No," Film responds. "But here we go," Film wraps his arm around Acid's before Acid opens the door with his magic. The two walk in as the organ plays their wedding song. Sitting in the pews lining the walkway to the front of the room are their friends and family.
Acid swallows a lump in his throat as the two brother's hearts pound hard and fast against their chests. They slowly make their way to the front. Standing at the altar's right is Blood Moon, and on the left with a space in front of him is Bold Action.
Moon is dressed in her dark blue, sparkling dress with her blood moon cutie mark on her chest. On her arms and legs are shimmering dark blue stockings with golden shoes slipped on over the stockings. Her hair is combed back and let draped against her neck instead of its normal erratic forward style. She wears a dark blue eye liner with dark red lipstick.
Bold is dressed in a black tuxedo that stops at his stomach, but the part on his back continues all the way to his rump where it parts around his tail and ends at two points. He wears black stockings on his legs and arms to go with the tux. Film's face heats up the moment he looks over at Bold. Bold smiles and winks at Film, causing his face to heat up even more. Film turns away in fear of overheating from blushing.
Acid's heart pounds faster at the sight of Moon as his face turns red, somehow. He averts his eyes with a bashful smile on his face. That's when he notices his mother and father sitting in the front row with spaces to either side of them. Glass is wearing a simple white dress with pink swirls. Her attempt to cover her wrinkles almost works, if not for the smile wrinkles, you couldn't guess she was more than forty.
Avi is dressed in a tux that should have been refitted for his slightly bigger stomach. Wrinkles clearly started to show on his face. Plastered on his face is a small, kind smile. Glass smiles at Acid and nods knowingly. Acid nods back before facing back around as the pair make it to the altar.
Acid and Film unlock arms as the priest walks up to the pedestal. He is dressed in a full body, black tuxedo with a black tie. The stallion's hair is combed back and stays there with a little hair grease.
Acid walks up to the altar, in front of Bold, and stands in front of Moon. The pair make eye contact before their smiles grow a bit bigger. Film walks up, behind Moon and stands there. The organ stops as silence covers the crowd of restless ponies.
"It is an honor to marry these two couples." The priest says. "And it's the first time I've ever married two couples in succession," He smiles between the group gathered in front of him. The room busts out into a little chuchel before calming back down. "Now, let's skip straight to the I do's. Mostly because I was told to," The priest says, looking over at Acid. He rolls his eyes at the priest. The priest chuckles before turning to face Moon. "Do you, Blood Moon, take Acid to be your husband?"
Moon takes a deep breath as her heart pounds against her chest. Her eyes wandered to the crowd where she spotted her dad, standing in the back by the door. Her eyes light up at the sight of him.
He is a dark gray bat pony with spiky red hair and blood red eyes. Scratches litter his body, the most significant is the one across his right eye. He and Moon make eye contact, and for a moment, he smiles at her as a tear slowly runs down his cheek. She smiles back before turning to face Acid.
"Acid," Moon starts. "You have and probably will never understand how much joy you have brought to my life. You are like a bright star in the night. My little Flask of joy," Moon says, causing Acid to blush, but to also smile and puff up his chest a bit. "I would love nothing more than to just be with you every second of my life that remains." Moon takes a deep breath before finishing. "I would be overjoyed to take you as my husband,"
The priest turns to face Acid. "And you, Acid Devern Flask, do you take Blood Moon as your wife?" Acid looks up at Moon with a big smile while she looks down at him with a small smile.
"You are right," Acid starts. "I may never truly understand how much love you have for me. I definitely will never understand what you have gone through, but one thing is for sure, you make me feel safe. You make me feel like I belong somewhere. Nowhere have I ever felt more like myself than when I am with you," Acid says as the lovely memories flood his head. Tears thretaning to flood his eyes. He swallows a lump in his throat as he holds back the tears. "You are the only pony who truly understands me. I would be delighted to take you as my wife."
"You may kiss the bride," The priest says to Acid before turning to Moon. "And you may kiss the groom," Moon and Acid lock eyes as Moon slowly leans down. Acid leans up before the two close thire eyes.
The two are quickly interrupted by Film yelling out "Wait!". Film grabs a step stool from behind the altar and walks it over to Acid.
"Really?" Acid asks as the crowd laughs.
"Just one last jab from your brother," Film wispears so only Acid could hear as he places the stool in front of Acid.
"I'll get you for this," Acid responds as Film walks back to his spot behind Moon. "Now where were we?" Acid asks, taking a step onto the stool.
"I believe we were told to kiss," Moon replies.
"That's right," Acid wispears as he closes the distance to Moon's lips. His lips contact Moon's as he closes his eyes. Moon smiles before closing her eyes. She drifts a hoof up to Acid's head before combing her hoof threw his mane. The crowd claps and cheers as the two stay together for several seconds. The two separate with big smiles on their faces. Acid steps down and picks up the stool before walking over to his parents. Moon follows behind him as Bold and Film take their places at the altar.
"Congratulations sweetie," Glass says as Acid sits down next to her before sliding the stool under the bench. Moon sitting down next to him on the bench.
"Thanks," Acid responds as Avi stands up and walks over to Acid.
"You got a good one, don't lose her" Avi wispears to Acid, causing him to blush.
"Dad?" Acid asks more the says as Avi walks away and down the aisle. Film and Acid watch as Avi walks up to the door leading out. He rests his hoof on the door before turning around to face Film.
"Dad," Film wispears with a feeling of sadness in his chest.
"I love you, hot shot. Don't forget that," Avi wispears back before sighing with disappointment in his eyes as he pushes the door open and walks out. The door closes, echoing out into the silent room. Film staring at where his father was just standing with a tear in his eye. He takes a deep breath before turning back to Bold.
"Now, it is my honor to marry these two fine stallions," The priest says, breaking the silence. "Film Chai Wheel, do you take Bold Action as your husband?" Film looks up at Bold with a smile as Bold looks down at him with his own, slightly cocky smile.
"I'm not one for sappy speeches like my brother," Film starts, looking over at Acid, who rolls his eyes at him. "But I must say, that you are the only pony I have ever felt comfortable with, almost normal with," Film takes a deep breath in before saying, "I would be nothing but happy to have you as my husband,"
"And you, Bold Action, do you take Film Wheel as your husband?" The priest asks, turning to Bold.
"Of course I do," Bold responds simply.
"You now may kiss," The priest says. Bold leans down to Film's level as Film leans up. But before the two's lips touch, Acid yells out.
"Wait!" Film and Bold quickly separate in surprise as Acid walks up to Film with the stool in hoof. Acid places the stool in front of Film as the crowd chuckles.
"Is this necessary?" Film asks.
"As necessary as your interruption was," Acid responds, winking at Film before returning back to his seat between Moon and Glass. Film rolls his eyes before he takes a step onto the stool. Without warning, he places his lips against Bold's. Bold smiles as they close their eyes. Film wraps and arm around the back of Bold's head as Bold kisses back. The crowd claps as the two separate. The smile on Bold's face fades as he watches Film, with a neutral face, step down from the stool.
"I am happy to announce the two lovely couples, married,'' the priest says. The crowd claps as Film quickly makes his way down the aisle. Bold looks to Acid, who looks back at him in worry. Bold nods before following Film, who had made it out the door. Acid stands up and walks after Bold. Glass goes to fallow, but Moon stops her by placing a gentle hoof on her shoulder.
"I think we should let them handle it," Moon says. Glass looks up at Moon with worry before nodding in agreement.
Film steps outside of the church to see Avi standing on the porch. Avi turns his head to look at Film. Film closes the door and walks over to Avi slowly. The door opens again, just enough to let Bold peek his head out, with Acid doing the same underneath of him.
"Dad…" Film starts, but gets interrupted.
"I can explain," Avi starts, letting out a sigh before continuing. "I want you to be happy, but within me it just feels wrong for my own son to be marrying a stallion," Avi starts, causing Film's ears to flop against his head. "And I know what I've done to you, so I couldn't in good faith sit there. I didn't want to make you uncomfortable,"
"Dad," Film says, taking a deep breath in as his ears rise back up before saying, "I respect your ideologies, I understand it can be hard to accept new things. Change can be a scary thing," Film says, placing a hoof on Avi's shoulder. "But one thing will never change, you are my Dad, Avi," Film smiles as Avi smiles back. Avi wraps an arm around Film's neck as Film does the same.
"You're the best son I could have asked for," Avi says, nuzzling into Film's head. "And I have to admit," Avi says as the two pull apart. "You look good in a dress,"
"T-thanks," Film says, blushing a bit as Bold walks out onto the porch. Leaving Acid in the doorway as Moon and Glass walk up to him. "I don't think you have properly met Bold," Film says, turning to Bold.
"Hello," Bold says, walking up to them.
"Bold, meet my dad, Avichai," Film says, gesturing to his dad. "Dad, meet Bold Action," Film says, jestering back to Bold.
"It's a pleasure to meet you," Avi says, nodding at Bold.
"It's a pleasure to meet you too," Bold responds with a small smile.
"Hey!" Acid yells from the door with Moon standing over him and Glass next to them. The three look over at the others in the doorway. "You're missing the party!"
"It would be nice if you would stay for the party," Film says to Avi.
"Of course I will stay," Avi responds before the group heads for the door.
(Time Skip)
"And then I messed up his hair," Avi says to Bold, who lets out a deep laugh. Film rolls his eyes at his dad.
"I told you not to do that," Film responds.
"Ya, but it was funny," Avi responds before sipping his punch.
"I'm going to refill," Acid says to Moon.
"Ok," Moon responds before Acid turns and walks to the table with the fruit punch. He places the cup down and uses his magic to pour himself a new cup of punch.
"So we meet at last," A deep, gravely voice says. Acid stops pouring and turns toward where the voice came from. Standing next to him, looking down at him with a smile, is Moon's father. The dark gray bat pony is almost as tall as the Moon is. His blood red eyes staring straight into Acid's very soul.
"You must be Moon's father?" Acid asks more than states as he picks up his cup again.
"And you're the stallion my daughter wouldn't shut up about in her letters," He responds back with a light laugh. Acid awkwardly laughs back before sipping from his cup. "No, seriously," He says, going instantly to a serious tone. "I have never seen my daughter happier than when she is with you,"
"I could believe that," Acid responds, his smile fading as he remembers what Moon had told him.
"She told you?" He asks, tilting his head to the side.
"Not everything," Acid responds. "But enough," The two nod in acknowledgment before Acid asks, "What was your name?"
"Oh! Sorry, how rude of me," He says, placing a hoof on his chest. "My name is Sparkling Night of the Moon, but you can call me Night," Night finishes.
"Didn't know Bat ponies had long names like zebras," Acid responds.
"Of the Moon is more of a title than a name," Night responds. "I guess your name isn't much better is it?"
"Acid Devern Flask," Acid says while nodding. "I don't like Devern. Film got the cool middle name of Chai," Acid says as Night smiles.
"Are you bugging my new husband?" Moon asks, walking over to her father.
"If by getting to know my son-in-law, then yes," Night says before the two use their wings to hug each other.
"It's great to see you again dad," Moon says as the two separate.
"I'm happy to see you found someone that makes you happy," Night says, turning to look at Acid. He smiles back before taking a sipp from his cup. "I'm very glad your mother didn't tarnesh how wonderful true love can be,"
"I already knew what true love felt like," Moon respons, smiling at Night. "I just needed someone else to come along and break down my walls," Moon then turns to Acid, whose smile is much bigger when looking at Moon.
"All in a day's work," Acid says. As he sips his drink, a loud thud rings out into the room. The group looks at where the thud had come from. Someone had entered the church through a side window and was now getting up. Moon and Night's faces drop instantly as their eyes widen.
The mare who got up is an earth pony. Her fur is a light shade of green and has seen better days. Her blue hair is up in a bun and is a mess. Her yellow eyes are accompanied by dark bags under them. She stumbles around while slurring her words.
"There you are!" She yells, slowly pointing at Moon. Moon's heart starts pumping fast against her chest as the memories flood to the front of her head. Tears forming in her eyes as her stomach fills with butterflies. The mare starts walking over to her, but Night steps in front of her. "Who gave you permission to get married!" She says, stopping in front of the group.
"She doesn't need your permission," Night replies back.
"I wasn't talking to you," She angrily spits back, poking him in the chest with her hoof.
"And you must have forgotten who's kid she is," Night says, poking her hard on the chest. This causes her to stumble back a bit before regaining a semblance of balance.
"You ungrateful bastard!" She yells back at Night before slapping him across the face, leaving a bright red mark on his cheek. Moon flinches at the hard slap sound from the mare's hoof contacting her dad's face. Acid grits his teeth as anger builds in his body. He steps in front of Night and looks up at the mare just barely taller than him.
"I'll only tell you once, get. Out." Acid states, holding back his rage as Night recovers from the slap. The mare looks down at Acid and laughs mockingly at him. This only angers Acid further, sparks now flying from his horn. The mare leans her head down close to Acid's face before saying.
"And what are you going to do about it, short stack," Without a single word, Acid lights his horn. The orange magic invelops his horn as it envelops the mare. He gently picks her up and starts walking with her to the door. "Hey!" she yells in anger as she flies about in the air. "Put me down! You can't do this! This is illegal!" She rants as Acid opens the door and throws her to the ground.
"Make sure she doesn't get back in," Acid says to the two guards by the door. The nod before Acid walks back into the church and closes the door behind him. "I'm assuming that's the mother," Acid asks as he walks up to Moon and Night. Moon staring at him in stunned silence as Night replise.
"Sadly, yes," Night says as Moon recovers from her stund shock.
"I think I just fell deeper in love with you," Moon says with a bigger smile than she has ever done before while looking down at Acid.
"I was just doing what I thought was right," Acid replies.
"And you did do the right thing," Moon says, slinging an arm around Acid's neck.
"That's probably the most badass thing I've ever seen," Bold says as he and Film walk up to them.
"Language," Film responds, looking over at Bold in desaportment. Bold looks down at Film and chuckles. "No, but seriously, that was awesome," Film replies, turning back to face Acid.
"You really think so?" Acid asks, scratching the back of his head.
"I know so," Film says, wrapping an arm around the other side of Acid's neck. Bold wraps an arm around Film's neck as the group looks at each other.
"Group hug?" Bold asks.
"Come you guys!" Acid says, tears forming in his eyes. The group huddles up and tries their best and hugs everyone. Acid looks over to see Dox, in a little tux, standing by the punch bowl alone. He looks over and makes eye contact with Acid. Acid smiles before shouting over. "Get over here you little bugger!"
Dox's eyes light up as his smile widens past what would be conserved as normal. He places his drink on the table and runs over to the group before wrapping his arms around Acid and Moon. The group laughs together as they hug each other.
