It had been 6 months since Cabe had joined the cyclone. Scorpion as a company had never been more successful between side jobs for private clients and Homeland cases. So much so that Walter had started interviewing more geniuses to possibly set up another cyclone on the east coast so Scorpion can be more readily available to assist Homeland Security and private clients.
As for personally everything was great Cabe had fit in perfectly as a father figure for everyone and had met a very nice lady named Allie. Toby and Happy had begun dating. Sylvester and Megan got married and Paige and Walter were engaged. At first Paige was hesitant about getting married because of Walter's first wife. She never asked about her because she didn't want to seem like she was prying and Walter had explained that after she had Abigail the MS she had had taken a turn quicker than expected and he put all of his focus in trying to find a cure which caused him to become more and more distant from her and Abigail. When she had lost her battle with MS something in Walter had switched and even though he wanted to be a good father he found it was easier to close off his feelings. It wasn't until Paige that he had realized that he had distanced himself so much from Abigail that he was doing the same thing his father did to him. So he was doing everything he could to be a loving father and fiance.
When Walter had woken up today he had a persistent headache that no matter what he did he couldn't get rid of it so he mostly just sat at his desk trying to get lost in coding but it seemed like he couldn't help but focus on everyone else. Sly was first watching and then researching everything he could find on centipedes which was odd because he hated all things to do with bugs. Walter shrugged it off thinking Sly was trying to get over some of his phobias.
Toby was researching different ways and styles to perform CPR. Walter couldn't understand why because he has seen Toby use CPR on many people and the only way to really change it up was to do one or two person CPR.
Happy was trying to figure out a better way to navigate and dispose of landmines in fields. She was getting agitated because no matter what was done landmines would explode more than being disarmed. They had recently completed a Homeland case which had them trying to get through a field with mines in it.
Paige seemed to be upset and complaining about a lecture that was screwing up traffic when she dropped off the Ralph to school. She couldn't believe that there were enough people named Florence that warranted even having a lecture. They were doing reports on all the different celebrities named Florence and the different varieties of Florence and the one common factor was everyone hated being called Flo.
Walter had asked where Megan was and everyone told him that she had gone to Houston to NASA about possibly having a contract with Scorpion. Walter was confused because of the 2 siblings he was the one who was more interested in NASA. Megan loved to look at stars but generally she didn't care anything about NASA. She didn't like to watch movies that had anything to do about space travel. She has a fear of someone being in space and running out of oxygen and having no way to get back to earth.
When he asked about Abigail everyone just kind of ignored the question and moved on like she didn't exist. When he went and looked at the pictures hanging up he could never see her in any of them.
Cabe had been walking around the garage and he was always out of breath and he kept complaining about his chest hurting. At first he thought it was because he slept wrong, then he thought he had heartburn but even drinking water would cause him pain. He had checked within his family history and there was never any mention of heart problems so he just continued to ignore it.
Finally Paige told Walter to go upstairs and take a nap and see if that would help his head. Another thing that had been bothering Walter was Paige was very tactile especially with him but for some reason today she was very distant from him. The garage wasn't that big but he never really saw her and he would have to call and text her many times to find her and everytime he went to see her she was in another part of the garage. He just chalked it up to him feeling off all day and was reading too much into it.
Once Walter got in bed he kept having strange dreams and was tossing and turning and when he did wake up he felt worse than before. His dreams were all over the place and we're about situations that he didn't recall ever happening. One of them he was in a car accident hanging off a cliff, another was him falling into the ocean after an explosion happened beneath the water. Another was he was walking around covered in mayonnaise and no matter how much he wiped it off he could never get clean. He had one dream of playing softball which was strange because he hated anything to do with baseball and despised pitchers. There was one of him singing in front of a group and another of him being of normal intelligence. One of his dreams had him trapped in the basement of a hospital and of him trapped in Fort Knox. Yet he had another one of him trapped on an island and then trapped in Antarctica.
One time he woke up craving fermented fish which was strange to him because he never really liked seafood he tended to lean towards pizza and chicken dishes. He stumbled into the kitchen and found a recipe for baked Alaska on the fridge and a bottle of wine next to it and that confused him even more because he never drank. He went to the bathroom and next to the sink was a bucket of something next to it and smelled like a mix of all different types of beauty products.
He made is way back to bed and the next time he woke up he couldn't move and there was a man with a beard and glasses who leaned over him and said "Hello Walter." Fear struck Walter and even though he tried to call out for help the only thing he could say was "Mark?!"
