"Mark!?" Said Walter with a slight tinge of panic in his voice. "Ah, Walter. I'm so glad you could finally join me. As much as you have been here it as been pretty quiet on your part."
Walter was finally able to clear his head long enough to take in his surroundings. He was strapped to a hospital bed in a room with no windows and 1 door and a 48inch tv hanging near the ceiling. The room looked to be 12'x12'x9'. The tv was mounted too high for Walter to get to unless he moved the bed over and a quick shake of his body told him the bed was most likely bolted to the floor. So even if he was able to get out of bed the tv and mount will not be of use.
"Walter it's no use I have made this room with no point of failure so escape is not an option for you." Said Mark with a smirk on his face. "Mark it's not going to work out for you Scorpion will find me and get me out and you will be captured again. So why don't you just end this." Walter replied trying to reason with Mark.
"HA HA HA! Walter you must still not have all you 197 IQ back. You haven't had your precious cyclone in 5 years. So no there will be no one to save you." Laughed Mark.
Walter looked extremely confused "What do you mean 5 years I saw almost all of them yesterday?" Mark got up from his chair and started to pace around the room shaking his head while chuckling. "Walter, 5 years ago you took my plant Florence out to a lecture. The waitress found out and broke up with you and Sylvester assaulted you, Toby and Happy followed them all out the door as they all quit. The Fed and Florence were the only ones to stick around. The rest all formed Centepede Partners and started to take all your jobs. A little bit after that Florence was offered a better job on the East coast which she took and then Cabe had a small stroke. The only way to keep his pension was he had to become Centepede Partners new Homeland liaison. He hated that but for him to protect his girlfriend he had to take the job. After that you started to get depressed and began thinking some terrible thoughts and there was no way I could let your IQ go so I grabbed you and have been working on my brain to brain interface."
The whole time Mark was talking Walter kept shaking his head 1 in disbelief and 2 to clear out his mind from the drugs. How did he lose 5 years and how did it seem like he had experienced far less time? Mark looked at Walter and could tell that Walter had turned into his mind to figure things out so it would be no use to continue talking to him, he would come back later.
To say Walter was confused would be an understatement. He started having conflicting visions, he was seeing the scenarios that he had apparently dreamt mixing with scenes from what had happened in real life. He couldn't believe that nobody had tried to look for him for 5 years. Had everyone hated him so much that they would sweep him under the rug?
Meanwhile at Centepede Partners they had just finished a meeting when Paige pulled Cabe aside. "Have you heard anything from Walter? I really want to sit down and talk to him and try to work things out with him." "Sweetheart, I know you do and every month I get an email from him and I keep trying to get him to come home or at least call and he keeps saying that he is taking this time to try and figure out how to fix what went wrong. I've said all that needs to happen to fix it is to talk with everyone." Answered Cabe while he put his hand on her shoulder. Paige sat down at the table and put her head in her hands with tears in her eyes "But Cabe, Ralph barely talks to me and when he does I'm lucky if I can get 5 straight words from him, he just ignores everyone else, you and Allie are the only ones he really talks to." Cabe sat down across from her and rubbed his face "I know and I've tried to talk to him as well but if you really think about it Ralph saw Walt as his dad and with what went down all those years ago his dad got hurt really bad and publicly. He does love you but have you really sat down with him and honestly talked about what happened, have you admitted to him what you admitted to me? That you overreacted that night and wouldn't give Walt a chance to even explain what happened."
Paige sat up straight as if she got slapped in the face. "Oh my God, I have never said that to him. I knew he was hurt and wouldn't talk to me so I tried to not bring it up to avoid upsetting him! Cabe, I've made so many mistakes. How am I going to fix everything?"
"Well darling, first thing is you need to sit down and have a long talk with Ralph. Even if he doesn't answer or talk back, you need to be really honest and start from the beginning. Once you are done give him some time to process it all. I'm sure that when he breaks everything down he will come to you." Cabe said as he stood up to clean out his coffee mug.
Paige got up and ran to her office and got her keys and purse and ran out the door. "Where in the hell is she going?" Asked Toby completely baffled by the blur that just ran past him. "I have a feeling that she is going to start making things right and hopefully it will snowball into making everything right." Said Cabe as he walked into the lobby. "It's about damn time if anyone has any chance to make things right it will be her or Ralph." Stated Happy. "There is an 83% chance that if her and Ralph fix what's going on with Walter that she will leave CP to go with Walter." Sly said while pacing back and forth.
"Do you think he would come and work for us?" Wondered Toby out loud. Everybody else stopped what they were doing and stared at Toby like he had 3 heads. Happy walked over and slapped him in the back of the head knocking his hat off while muttering idiot.
30 minutes later Paige ran into the condo as Ralph sat playing video games. Ralph sat up real quick not expecting Paige home so early but once he saw her he said Oh and continued to play. Paige sat on the coffee table in front of him and trapped him between her knees and proceeded to pretty much pour her heart out to him. At first he looked annoyed but as she kept going his look changed to that of interest. When she was done she stood up told him she was going to give him time while she went and picked up supper. 45 minutes later Paige walked in with 2 large pizzas as she set them down in the kitchen she looked for Ralph but couldn't see him. Just then Ralph walked in the kitchen and went over to his mom and gave her the biggest hug she had gotten in a long time. They stood in the kitchen for awhile just hugging each other and crying. Nothing was said and for the first time in 5 years Paige and Ralph were on the same page with each other.
The next day everyone was in the conference room discussing the upcoming jobs when Ralph busted through the door. "I've gone through all the emails dad has sent and they are not from him. I think somebody has him and we need to find him and save him."
