Author Note: Hi everyone, I hope you have a happy time.

I wanted to finish this chapter by Friday, got hooked on some pretty good reading.

I hope you like my story and this chapter where Enid finally appears.

I admit my story goes at a bit of a slow pace compared to the show, but I think in the end it will be for the best

Love, Wednesday, if I didn't love the series I wouldn't be writing this story.

But I don't like that the series only had eight episodes.

A bit short for my taste, the limited number of episodes forced the story to move rather quickly.

The same is happening with the third season of The Owl House. Three special episodes instead of a long and consistent third season.

In my story, I will go at my own pace, slowly introducing new students and teachers to make Nevermore a real school for supernatural teenagers, full of mysteries and dangers.

Here you have my readers a little challenge, guess who will be the landlady of the Orphéus dormitory?

First clue is a famous witch and teacher.

Story Arc: Welcome to a Nevermore

Episode 2: The First Day of School (III)

Chapter 8: Friendly Enid

Plot: Hearing the news that three new students are coming and all are going to his dorm.

Enid decided to make a brief survey of the newcomers, learning a few things about them.

Soon after, Wednesday, Bruce and Luz arrive in Enid's room, starting a good chat between the four of them.

Luz is considering becoming friends with Enid, finding a kindred spirit.

Wednesday realized she had to change her escape plan and look for henchmen.

Bruce discovers a clue that indicates the presence of an old acquaintance.

POV Narrator

The Orphéus Dormitory is the newest building added to Nevermore Academy, the first step in a long-running expansion and renovation project.

Into this newly built building she entered quickly, a pretty student, with blond hair, with tips dyed pink and blue.

XXX

Enid Sinclair is a colorful and cheerful girl who is incredibly good at making friends and seeking gossip.

After just one week of school, Enid was able to gain friends and contacts in the school's top cliques.

Through her connections, Enid manages to be among the first people to hear the new rumors about Nevermore Academy.

Today, the daughter of the school secretary, a girl named Noemi, during lunchtime, spread the news that the school is about to receive three new students, and they will be staying at the Orphéus dormitory.

The names of these students are Wednesday Addams, Bruce Belmont and Luz Noceda.

Enid did the calculations and soon realized that one of the two girls will be her roommate.

It is an unwritten rule that all students will have a roommate except in extraordinary cases.

Once finished with the lessons, Enid wasted no time in returning to her room, covered in pastel colors.

The cheerful girl practically pounced on her laptop, starting a search worthy of a second-class investigator.

Enid like a hungry wolf on a hunting trip, I scour the entire internet, looking for the three names on Insta, Snapchat, TikTok and Wikipedia.

The first search for the merry girl was a failure.

Wednesday Addams is a ghost in the digital world, no social media presence, no photographs, no nothing.

The gloomy girl's name only appears in a few newspapers regarding her family's doings.

Enid only discovered that The Addams Family is quite popular in a certain New Jersey town's local paper, having been repeatedly featured on the front page.

The father, Gomez Addams years ago tried to become the mayor of the city, clearly failed, but sent his counter-current to prison, revealing his dirty business during a debate.

Unfortunately, Enid couldn't find even a photograph of Wednesday, as if anyone who tried to take a photo of the gloomy girl was being severely punished.

"Just a name with no face to match." Enid said, lowering her head, for once defeated.

Luz Noceda was easier to find than Wednesday, having an account on some social media, posting pictures with family, friends and a…girlfriend.

"A pretty girl... what a pretty girlfriend..." Enid murmurs, with a slight blush on her cheeks, looking away from a photograph of Luz and her fiancée.

In the photograph the two girls are dressed up as She-ra and Catra from She-Ra and the warrior princesses and are holding hands, looking lovingly.

'My mom wouldn't be happy if she found out I might have a roommate who swings the other way, she prefers the traditional methods.' Enid thinks, shivering slightly, instantly snapping out of Luz's profile, as if she was afraid of being caught by her mother.

" Luz Noceda, seems like a nerdy girl to me who loves fantasy and romance. She also has a twin sister named Vee and an older cousin named Zul. I think I can get along with her." Enid said, hoping to share her room with Luz, being able to talk about books and annoying brothers/sisters.

A small part of Enid's head, there is a little voice that would like to ask Luz some questions.

Example, like having such a cute girlfriend and other little things that his mother probably doesn't support.

Enid's second quest was a success, getting an idea of what to expect from Luz.

If the cheerful girl were less interested in gossip, she would have been satisfied with the information she obtained about Wednesday and Luz.

But Enid has already been in front of the laptop for some time, one hour more or one hour less, nothing will change.

With that rationale in mind, Enid researched everything publicly available about the third new student, Bruce Belmont.

Unlike the non-existent Wednesday who doesn't seem to exist on the network or Luz who has a rather normal presence.

The name of Bruce Belmont has produced more than a thousand different hits, being able to eclipse quite a number of Hollywood celebrities.

"We are about to receive a celebrity!" Enid exclaims, with a big smile, having never had the chance to know someone really famous.

"Young detective Bruce Belmont and his assistant, Luz Noceda, solve the murder of..." Enid mutters softly, reading headlines of articles about Bruce's and Luz's careers.

"Bruce Belmont the Lost Heir to the Morgan Dukedom?" Enid said, looking at an investigative article from a well-known London newspaper.

"Does the Young Detective Steal Princess Carissa's Heart?" whispers Enid, seeing a tabloid photograph of Bruce and the second princess of the United Kingdom.

"New City, New Assistant, Who's Marcy Wu?" Enid said, flipping through an article that talks about Bruce's move to Boston and the appearance of a new assistant, one Marcy Wu.

"Is Mystery Man Stan Pines Bruce Belmont's Father?" Enid reads, finding news less than a month old about a famous person from a small town named Gravity Falls.

" It will take me days to figure out anything about this Bruce, there is so much news about him.

And most of the articles are about sleuth stuff, an aristocratic legacy and tabloids about supposed romance." Enid said, running a hand through her hair, knowing she'd found a new kind of opponent.

Where before the challenge was to find concrete information, now Enid must find the truths from a flood of false, incorrect or exaggerated information.

XXX

Before Enid could begin her investigative reporting challenge.

Someone knocked on Enid's door, interrupting the cheerful girl's thought process.

"Enid, I'm Director Weems, I'm bringing some special guests with me, can we come in?" asks Principal Weems, being polite and careful enough to announce her presence and that of her "special guests."

" Yup !" Enid exclaims, slamming her laptop shut, not wanting to sound like some kind of virtual stalker.

"You can enter!" Enid said, rising from her chair as he hastily straightens his clothes.

After a moment, Headmistress Weems entered the room, followed by Wednesday, Bruce, Luz and their parents.

The Lycan girl's eyes were caught in the presence of Wednesday and Bruce, causing her to ignore everyone else's presence.

A very good thing because the sight of such a colorful chamber nearly gave Morticia a heart attack.

'So this is the mysterious Wednesday Addams, for a goth girl she is surprisingly beautiful, especially the black hair.' Enid thinks, feeling an equally pleasant and unpleasant shiver up her back.

' The famous detective prince, with more than a thousand stories to his account.

Now, I understand why girls (and some boys) in Boston and London love her.

He's way too cute to be true, I like his haircut and black suits him a lot.' Enid thinks, trying to keep her composure, not wanting to sound like a fangirl or something.

'Don't just stare at a couple of hot teenagers, they'll think you're a stereotypical blonde with no brains.' A critical voice came from Enid's little head, urging her to move and do something to assert herself.

"Hello, girls!" Enid said, with a big smile, walking closer to Wednesday and Luz.

" Which of you two will be my roommate ?" Enid asks, spreading her arms, wanting to give her future roommate a welcome hug.

Luz loving to give and receive hugs, wasted no time returning Enid's hug.

"I feel like we'll get along." Luz said, managing to feel the presence of a kindred soul.

" For the tomb of Niccolo di Bernardo dei Machiavelli, there are now two." Wednesday mutters, seeing with her eyes how the number of genki girls has just doubled.

"The universe is just funny, they bring together two negative people." Bruce said, pointing first to himself, then to Wednesday, clearly being people more inclined to the dark side.

"Shortly after to balance the scales, they bring together two positive girls." Bruce said, gesturing to Enid and Luz who strangely embraced.

"I hate the universe." Wednesday declares, deadly serious, wishing he could snap his fingers and teach the cosmos a lesson.

"Hate is a strong word. But even I find the will of the world and its fate-manipulating tactics annoying." Bruce said, crossing his arms, having a particularly sour history with "fate" and the will of higher forces.

'Luz is not the only girl who has found someone on the same wavelength.' Thinks Camila, smiling at the sight of the two antisocial teenagers complaining about universal injustice.

In their own way they are greeting each other just like Enid and Luz, only less physically and more intellectually.

"I'm sorry to say, Enid. But Luz won't be your roommate, that role belongs to Wednesday." Weems said, with an all-too-happy smile, knowing full well how an Addams' mind works.

"Good move Weems, putting a negative girl and a positive girl together is a formula for success." Bruce comments, supporting Weems' idea of putting Enid and Wednesday together.

This tactic is a cliché, but nowhere is it written that a cliché can't be a success.

Too bad Wednesday doesn't seem to share the same opinion as Weems and Bruce.

The Gloomy Girl appears to be shocked by the news she received from Weems, looking at the colored room as if it were hell.

"No problem, if we can't be roommates, then Enid and I would be dorm friends and fellow students." Luz said, breaking Enid's hug, immediately thinking of the fun things she can do with Enid.

"Dorm friends, I like the way it sounds." Enid said, slightly saddened to not have Luz as a roommate.

But something in the lycan girl's heart is quite happy at the idea of being in the same room with the goth girl.

"Hello, roommate!" Enid exclaims, running towards Wednesday, spreading her arms for another welcome hug.

Wednesday stepped back as if he were a mouse facing a cat.

Bruce must hold back a laugh, finding it amusing as Wednesday recoils from Enid's embrace.

Luz casts a pitying look at Enid, knowing how difficult it is to thaw an ice person.

"I see. You don't like hugs." Enid said, putting her arms down, realizing that Wednesday is one of those people who doesn't like to be touched.

"Same goes for me, try to touch me and you'll get a punch under the chin or an electric shock or a frozen attack or a firestorm." Bruce said, informing Enid not to even try to hug him if he doesn't want to get hurt.

The lycan girl for precautions took a step back, approaching the director Weems.

No student would try to get into a fight near the principal, right?

"My puppy is joking, he likes to bark, but he rarely bites…unless provoked." Eda said, to reassure Enid, even though the last part is aimed at Wednesday.

"Eda is telling the truth. Bruce is a Kuutsundere. Give him a few days to get to know you better, then he becomes an overprotective puppy." Luz said, hugging Bruce tightly, proving that he's not as bad as he wants to make himself out to be.

" Luz exaggerates my good side, I might not turn you into an ice statue if you touch me.

But don't try to hug me or invade my personal space for no reason.

Physical proximity is a privilege that I grant to few people." Bruce said, making it clear that there are limits that if they are not respected ... things end rather badly for the manager.

"I see, you like having your own space." Enid said, noting this detail.

As the only child in a large family of werewolves, Enid understands very well the need to have a personal space that is not invaded by anyone.

Though Bruce obviously takes the personal space thing very seriously.

"Here's a tip, treat Bruce like he's a police dog just off the force." Camila said, trying to use her veterinary expertise to help Enid deal with Bruce.

"Police dog?" Enid asks, tilting her head slightly, finding it a strange anthology to describe a boy.

Thanks to her brief research on the new students, Enid figures out where the cop part comes from, but the dog thing is a mystery to Enid.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Enid Sinclair, but you already knew that." Endi said, extending his hand, deciding that a simple handshake was an ideal compromise.

Plus, when Enid hugs a cute boy (and some girls), she unintentionally lets out her claws, resulting in some pretty embarrassing accidents.

The young investigator looks at Enid's outstretched hand, looking up to look Enid straight in the eyes, then turns his head in the direction of the Lycan girl's inhabited space.

Bruce using his Sherlock Holmes abilities, is using Enid's color chamber to investigate her.

Bruce's eyes sparkled for a moment as they found a trinket of great interest.

'This little discovery means that in the near future there will be an encounter with a certain immortal witch.' Bruce thinks, forming a terribly sweet smile.

Bruce shifts his attention back to Enid who has stood still with her hand outstretched.

"Nice to meet you, Enid Sinclair. Me, I'm Bruce Bahamut Belmont, I hope this is the start of something positive." Bruce said, gently, grabbing Enid's hand and kissing it, giving the impression of being a gentleman of the Victorian era.

XXX

Returning for a moment to the parents.

"Eda, your son knows how to introduce himself to girls." Gomez whispers, appreciating Bruce's style and mannerisms, having pulled the same moves in his youth.

" You have no idea, what Bruce can do to a woman's heart, you have no idea." Eda whispers, knowing full well what Bruce's charms can do to girls and what kind of girls are attracted to him, the crazy ones or the troubled ones.

XXX

Going back to supernatural teenagers.

Enid wasn't the least bit surprised that after Bruce's single salute, her claws snapped out.

' Check yourself Enid, check yourself !' Enid cries out in her mind, trying and failing to straighten his claws.

In the lycan girl's mind, a small clip of children badly scratched, boys (and some girls) who have avoided her due to some accidents passes by.

But above all, in Enid's head, there are a lot of reproaches from her mother "telling her" that she must at least be able to keep her claws. According to Enid's mother, even a small child has full control of her claws.

Bruce wasn't the least bit concerned or frightened by Enid's claws, seeming mildly interested in them.

"Nice claws, I love the enamel mouse you used, may I know where did you get it from?" asks Bruce, politely, complimenting Enid on her choice of polish and wanting to know where he gets it from.

' Enid, don't do anything embarrassing. You just met a cute guy who isn't the least bit scared or disgusted by your claws. He's seems to be interested in your nail polish, behave yourself.' Enid thinks, trying to keep calm, not wanting to ruin a potential friendship.

"I know a little department store in town that sells some nail polish shades and colors that are amazing." Enid said, keeping a demeanor at his happiness.

" One day I could show me this shop, you see I'm an artist and I would like to use this color tone for my next painting." Bruce said, planning to get paint the same color as Enid's claws or use nail polish instead of paint.

"I'd like to give you a tour of the school and the city when we have a free moment." Enid said, blushing slightly, obviously forgetting that she doesn't know the city very well either, having only come to Nevermore Academy a week ago.

"The dog knows his tricks." Comments Wednesday, in a disgusted tone.

Gloomy Girl is slightly revolted that Bruce would care about something as insignificant as a girl's nail polish color.

"I can't believe Wednesday, you're jealous that I'm paying attention to another girl." Bruce said, trying not to laugh out loud at how crazy the situation seems.

"You're imagining things that don't exist." Wednesday said, shooting with a look that promises hell.

"This school may not teach me anything new. But it sure does wonders for my mood." Comments Bruce, quite aware of his newborn good mood.

A change of scenery can work wonders, especially when you find quite interesting things that only you can see or understand.

"Enid, do you mind if we bring Wednesday on our tour as well?

I'm sure the three of us will have much more fun." Bruce said, proposing a group outing to see the city and find places of interest.

"The more we are, the better." Says Enid, he really likes the idea of going out on the town with Bruce and Wednesday, even if he doesn't understand why.

"Then it's not a problem if I participate too." Luz said, not wanting to be pushed aside.

" You can take my place, I won't go buy useless nail polish, I don't do such feminine and futile things." Wednesday said, wanting the opposite of Luz, her being forgotten in the background and not attending this impromptu gathering.

"I'm not a doctor or medical expert, but I'm pretty sure you weren't born with obsidian black nails." Luz said, pointing to Wednesday's hands, precisely her obviously painted black nails.

The dark girl clenched her fists, hiding manicured fingernails and proof that Wednesday has her feminine side.

" It seems that the assistant is also good at something." Wednesday comments, using her sharp tongue to hurt Luz.

The passive aggressive comment gambit proves super-ineffective…

Luz has been living with a bipolar Tsundere for two years, and facing the hardships of the Boiling Isles, Amphibia and Gravity Falls.

Luz has developed a very thick skin both metaphorically and literally.

"Thanks for the compliment, Wednesday. If you are impressed with my detective skills, you must see me in action with my magic, I will leave you speechless." Luz said, taking Wednesday's words as a compliment.

"Wednesday, the more I know you, the nicer you become in my eyes." Bruce said, finding Wednesday's sharp tongue pleasant.

"That means you're a masochist." Comments the dark girl, using her sharp tongue again, unfortunately it proves super-ineffective.

Bruce looks completely unaffected, while Luz, Eda and Camila try not to look at him.

"I prefer the company of women with strong personalities, with devastating offensive skills." Bruce said, in a friendly tone, having always preferred to be surrounded by people who can take care of themselves.

The inky-haired sorcerer may be paid $50 an hour and/or compelled by her personal code to save the innocent.

But that doesn't mean he'll be the Mario/Luigi of a princess who can't do anything other than get kidnapped and put herself in danger.

After the third save, he'll leave the damsels in distress basket cases to be the problem of the knights in armor basket cases.

"You have serious problems if you like me." Comments Wednesday, shaking his head slightly, having the confirmation that she is confronted with an anomaly, or rather two anomalies.

Bruce seems to be amused once again by Wednesday's words.

"Well, I was sent to Nevermore Academy for a reason." Bruce replies, twirling a finger in a circular motion around his head, the universal sign for insane.

Again Luz, Eda and Camila try not to look.

"If we all agree, Friday after class the four of us in town. First we'll go looking for enamel and paint." Bruce said, pointing a finger at Enid who surely wants to compare supplies for the next sleepover or girls' night out.

" Then a bookstore to get some books for Luz and her little reading club." Bruce said, wanting to help Luz choose the next book to read/discuss.

In reality the "reading club" is made up only of Luz and Amity who get together every week in the library, if there's no interference, to talk about books and have part of an intimate moment to be saccharine.

Luz currently has three mothers (Eda, Camila, Lilith), three brothers (Bruce, King, Hunter) and five sisters (Zul, Vee, Miyu, Illya and Chloe), plus one friend who practically semi-lives in the spare bedroom (Marcy Wu).

Having such a large family makes it very difficult for Luz to get alone time for her and Amity, so the reading club was born.

"Finally we can go where you want, Wednesday." Bruce said, finishing his guideline for Friday's outing, pointing at the gloomy girl.

"I don't want to go out on the town with you." Wednesday said, crossing her arms, preferring to hang himself than she was cooped up in a shop with Enid, Bruce and Luz.

" A pity, maybe we can time it." Enid comments, looking pretty dejected at Wednesday's refusal to go partying with her…and her company.

"Bruce could you change her mind, using the silver tongue or the Tsundere language?" Luz proposes, knowing full well that Bruce can be worse than devil's advocate when she wants to be.

" Language of the Tsundere ?" Enid asks, raising an eyebrow, having never heard anything like this from him in his life.

"There is no such thing as ridiculous as the Tsundere language. But if you wish, I will enter my Loki mode." Bruce said, with a mischievous smile, running his hand through his hair, making some strands appear green.

Bruce normally would have done a whole makeover to go into his Loki "mode", i.e. a ruthless negotiator capable of convincing and/or cheating anyone.

But for this brief case, Bruce settled for little.

The inky-haired sorcerer stops in front of the gloomy girl and takes a gold coin out of his pockets.

The lucky coin is decorated with the Uruzla rune, known as the rune of the primeval bull and the ambiguous god Loki.

Not only is the wardrobe minimal, but the props are also limited.

But that doesn't change anything for Bruce, the talent of a true artist comes from himself and not from his equipment.

Additionally, improvising on the fly is one of the Clawthorne family's greatest talents and learnings.

"I could use my favor to get you out on the town with the three of us this Friday.

But oh God spend the favors obtained, so I'll change your mind with a few words." Bruce said, looking the dark girl directly in her eyes.

Wednesday again felt a sinister sensation coming from Bruce's good eye, but this time it's different than before.

Wednesday, instead of feeling an indescribable shiver that seems to reach every corner of her body, feels as if she has a snake in front of her.

" Little chance of success." Wednesday said, never having changed his mind under duress or cheap tricks.

" I don't want to tamper with your will, I simply offer you a clear vision of your possibilities." Bruce said, an all too sweet smile playing on his lips as he plays with his lucky coin.

"Wednesday, I like your eyes, in addition to a great beauty, they show a marked intelligence." Bruce said, his first move is a sincere compliment.

Bruce's art really wants to paint Wednesday's cold and dark gaze.

But the more logical part of his brain remains focused on the current task, to change Wednesday's mind.

" Compliments, they won't help you." Wednesday replies, monotonously, seeming immune to Bruce's sweet words.

"A pity your antisocial views cloud your intelligence." Bruce continues, shaking his head slightly, not seeming to hear Wednesday's comment.

"My mind is never dull, I'm always clear." Wednesday declares, in an authoritative tone, stepping forward.

A normal person would have distanced himself, not wanting to risk his physical health against an angry Wenclair.

But Bruce being crazy, doesn't care, instead just smiles, to get Wenclair's full attention.

" If you are always lucid, do you mean that you understand the opportunities you are missing ?" Bruce said, sounding like a sign that he's trying to teach a student of his a lesson.

" What opportunities? Make sincere friendships?" Wednesday said, scoffing at the idea of going out on Fridays to get to know Enid and Luz better.

"I'm talking about the opportunity to gather intelligence on an unknown playing field." Bruce said Bruce said, looking disappointed in Wednesday for being able to see something so obvious.

Bruce tosses his gold coin in the air, feeling that this discussion is about to end.

"A smart and ambitious girl like you will have her own long list of goals to complete.

To do that, you'll need to know the city and figure out where to get the right tools for the right task." Bruce said, grabbing his gold coin in mid-air.

"To quote Sun Tzu: If you know yourself but not your enemy, your odds of winning and losing are equal." Bruce said, with a mischievous smile, showing the two sides of the coin, a Nordic V-shaped rune and a snake biting its prey.

"Think about it, Wednesday. Your odds of success and failure are equal, it all depends on luck." Bruce stops talking for a moment, holding back a bitter laugh.

"If we were lucky, we wouldn't be at Nevermore Academy." Bruce said, before turning and walking towards Luz and Enid, showing the side of the coin with a V.

Without a doubt, the V-shaped symbol comes from victory.

"I don't think your speech worked. We could ask you another time, we have a whole year of school to get to know each other better." Enid said, trying to be optimistic.

The lycan girl can wait for you to find a more favorable time to hook up with Wednesday.

"Wait a moment and you'll see." Luz said, confident that Bruce's silver tongue can work wonders.

Bruce didn't say anything, he just lifted his hand, showing all five fingers, slowly starting to bring them down.

XXX

Wednesday's mind is analyzing his acquaintance's words.

Bruce put his number five finger down.

It hurts to admit it, but Bruce is partly right.

The anger I feel for my parents and being sent to Nevermore against my will might make me too hasty.' Thinks Wednesday, being reasonable enough to do a self-analysis.

What's more, the dark girl can hardly deny Sun Tzu's wise words.

Bruce put his number four finger down.

'I want to get out of this place as soon as possible.

But if I rush at the first opportunity, I risk being caught unprepared and placed on close surveillance.' Thinks Wednesday, thinking coldly, understands that his chances of escaping this school without a well-designed plan are slim.

Even if she makes it out of town, it's a matter of time before someone announces her missing and calls the police looking for her.

Bruce put his number three finger down.

'I have to study the city and find that it can be bought and bribed.

The hardest task will be figuring out how to pick up an escape vehicle and get supplies for my long journey.' Thinks Wednesday, realizing that for a successful escape, she'll need time and careful planning.

Bruce put his number two finger down.

'I will definitely regret what I'm about to do, but getting unwitting henchmen can help me make significant progress.' Think Wednesday, looking at Enid and Luz, less as a source of annoyance and more as potential pawns in her escape plan.

According to the dark girl, people with a good heart are the easiest to manipulate.

Bruce put his number one finger down, the countdown is over.

"I'm not going out with you three for fun. I'm coming, just to see if there's anything worthwhile in town." Wednesday said, wanting to make the matter clear, he's only going out with them to serve his own ends.

The gloomy girl's change of mind impressed a couple of mothers.

'I didn't think I'd live long enough to see this day.

My little thundercloud has agreed to go out with his peers to combine who knows what scheme.

I should have found her a playmate years ago !' Morticia thinks, feeling as if an uncomfortable weight on her heart has lifted.

If by the end of the school year, Wednesday admits she's made some friends, Morticia can die without most regrets.

' This is my son, the silver-tongued king of the serpents. Not even Odalia or Belos ran away from his words as sweet as honey.' Eda thinks, proud of his son's skills, if he were less interested in solving crimes and mysteries he would be an excellent con man.

"Another success. You owe me fifty dollars for my services, you know perfectly well I never work anything for free." Bruce said, wanting to get paid for changing Wednesday's mind.

"Here is, Enid, a demonstration of the Tsundere language. The two of them need to frame their sentences in a way that sounds like heartless pragmatists." Luz said, pointing to Bruce and Wednesday who glared at her for Tsundere etiquette.

Maybe for Bruce the word Kuutsundere deserves it, but when it comes to Wednesday, this word is deeply wrong.

"Are you serious, do you want to come with me, I mean with us, to buy some nail polish and some nice clothes?!" Enid asks, feeling a great happiness she can't explain.

"I could buy some black nail polish, but no other color." Wednesday said, sure that the supply in his suitcases could not last until the day of his escape.

"I understand that black is your favorite color. Trying a new color every once in a while can't hurt though, I'm pretty sure red or purple would look good on you." Luz said, trying to add some color to the two-tone dark girl.

"I'm allergic to colors." Wednesday replies, in a dry tone, killing on the spot any idea of her trying a color other than black or white.

"I have never heard greater nonsense." Bruce mumbles softly, finding such an allergy ridiculous.

"Oh, wow. What's wrong with you?" Question Enid, curiosity of this "allergy" of Wednesday.

Luz also seems to be curious about this unusual "disease".

"I get hives and then the flesh falls off my bones." Wednesday said, handing over the details of this allergy you have colors.

"Fortunately, we have ordered you a special uniform." Director Weems said, drawing her attention to her.

"You wasted your time and energy with this special uniform." Bruce said, finding it silly to have to waste school funds on a custom uniform because of an imaginary allergy.

"I am a doctor with an encyclopedic knowledge of every field of science. Therefore I can say that this color allergy exists only in Wednesday's head." Bruce said, bringing his forefinger close to his forehead, slapping them lightly.

"A doctor? But are we the same age as me?" Enid asks, raising an eyebrow, thinking Bruce is exaggerating her intelligence.

" I'm one of the five smartest people in the world, normal standards don't apply to me." Bruce said, in a slightly irritated tone, finding it tiring having to demonstrate his intellectual level to each new acquaintance.

" It means that I have found someone who can help me with the complicated tasks." Enid said, her tone happy.

The lycan girl is not sure that Bruce could be one of the five smartest people in the world.

But his research shows that Bruce is a famous and talented detective, to the point of being required by the royal family of the United Kingdom.

With similar successes under his belt, there's no doubt for Enid that Bruce is pretty smart.

" $50 an hour, that's my price for normal cases. Depending on the job, the client and the circumstances the price may go up or down." He informs Bruce, pulling a business card out of his sleeve, handing it to Enid.

"It seems to me rather expensive." Enid said, taking Bruce's visiting card, placing it in her uniform pocket.

" Quality costs money, none of our BL Detective Agency clients ever complain about our results. Whether it's investigation or more mundane stuff." Luz said, defending the honor of the business she has been working for almost two years.

"Good to know." Wednesday said, taking into account the prices and the name of the agency, wanting to look up the information later.

Perhaps instead of manipulation, the dark girl will have to pay for the services of Luz and Bruce.

"Enid, please take your new friends to the registry office to pick up their uniforms and their programs. You might want to get a little tour of the school along the way." Headmistress Weems said, wanting to kick her students out of the room so she can talk to her parents privately.

"Right away, follow me!" Enid exclaims, starting to bounce like a princess, I learn the way.

Luz being the happiest girl and curious to see Nevermore Academy, she was the first to pursue Enid.

Wednesday was the opposite of Luz, moving slowly as if she were some kind of robot or zombie.

Clearly, the dark girl takes no joy in receiving her uniform and a tour of the school led by Enid.

Bruce puts his hands in his pockets and walks behind the three eccentric girls.

Before leaving the room, the young investigator with the corner of his eye, glances at an object in Enid's room.

A small, recently created good luck amulet, the standout treat of this trinket is the presence of an ancient primordial rune.

' Teacher, I would recognize your handwriting among a thousand runes. What or who convinced you to leave your domain and come to this school?' Bruce thinks, experiencing a feeling of excitement beyond compare.

The chance to meet again the woman who taught him the secrets of the runes and much more, awakens the fighting spirit of Bruce.

Continues ...
