Beginning A/N: Okay, as you will all see down below, the opening song has been changed from the original Japanese dub to the lyrics from the English Dub of the anime done by NateWantsToBattle. This is mainly a little experiment on my part. I like both versions of the song, but I'd like to know in the reviews which version all of you like better. So please let me know in your reviews which version you'd like me to stick with for the remainder of this story, or at least the Republic City Saga. And now, with that all out of the way, let's continue on with the story!

Song: Limit Break x Survivor(Dragon Ball Super) by NateWantsToBattle
Four beams of light flashed as form beams of light raged through Republic City Tundra and Korra throw punches against each other as they headbutt each other smirking.
Time has come! I'm ready to go!
Venturing into the unknown!
Tundra stands on airbender island looking over the horizon as Korra jumps up behind him wrapping her arm his neck as they turned to see Mako, Bolin and Asami standing behind them.
Fires inside me, must be unleashed!
Korra throws punches and kicks as she earth, water, and firebends as Meelo pops out
People talking nonsense all day,
Tundra practices a few punches as he fired off a ki blast as Ikki pops out
"Chin Pun Kan" that's all they can say,
The Dragonballs float around as Rava and Vatu appeared flying through the sky before connecting.
I can't get no satisfaction!
(Woo-hoo) Challenges may come,
Mako unleashes a stream of fire, Aang and Roku appear alongside several others past avatars
(Woo-hoo) Fighting's just begun,
Bolin fires off a rock, the shadows of the old team avatar appear.
But there's no stopping me,
from spreading out my wings! (Let's fly high)
Korra sits meditating as she enters the avatar state, the Equalist appeared with Amon
(Woo-hoo) Concentrate my power,
(Woo-hoo) In the final hour,
The Spirit world portal opens within the sky, Unalaq smirks as Vatuu appeared behind him
In the end, I am gonna win!
Team Avatar walks together Mako surrounded by a surge of electricity, Bolin swiping his arm creating a wave of lava, Asami throwing a punch. Korra cries out as she enters the avatar state, Tundra glares fiercely.
Don't you know I'm unstoppable?
Don't even try, cause you will fall!
I got a strength, deep in my soul,
That gives me courage and control!
Korra blows away several equalist, Asami dodges attacks from the lieutenant, Bolin and Mako face off with Eska and Desna.
I'll go beyond the limit break,
The universe is mine to take!
I have no fear, I think it's clear,
Let's kick it up into high gear!
Oh this is Dragon Ball Super,
We've got the skills to blow Zen-Oh away!
Tundra surges into his fourth form rushing through the dark spirits as he fired off a powerful ki blast as Unavatuu appeared with a dark roar as he threw his punch at Korra who blocked and countered his attacks.
White Lotus Arrogance and a Polarbear-Dog!
Two weeks have passed since Tundra had crash landed in the Southern Water Tribe village and had killed two alien invaders while saving everyone's lives, and things have been relatively peaceful during that time. Also, during that time, Korra had begun her Avatar training under the White Lotus who had stuck around for a little while after the incident with the two thugs who came down from space. It was decided that Katara, being the strongest Waterbending master and the village's best healer, would begin instructing Korra in the ways of Waterbending. As for Tundra, he mostly kept to himself as he stayed in his cave only venturing out to get food and make sure that the ship left behind by the two idiots remained in good condition, especially for deep space travel. He had a feeling that he was going to need it eventually.
But it would seem that today would not be one of those days where things would be simple for the Frieza species currently living in a form of self-exile.
Tundra was walking to the village in hopes of trading for some food and water. He had made a good catch last evening and now had some furs to trade. Arctic Tiger-Wolves, if he remembered the native wildlife correctly. With any luck, he could trade the furs for some fish and fresh water, as he knew that fur traders were very picky about the quality of the furs they bought and sold. But as he reached the halfway point to the village, Tundra noticed something off. Korra was sitting by the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean with her knees drawn up to her chest. This didn't sit well with Tundra as he walked over to where Korra was sitting and knelt down next to her.
"Now, what are you doing out here all alone, Korra?" he asked before saying, "Your parents must be worried sick, and you'll catch a death a cold in a place like this."
"I know…" Korra said, looking down with sad eyes.
"Korra, what's wrong? Why are you so upset?" Tundra asked.
"A guy in the White Lotus said that I'm a bad Avatar and will never be as good as Aang, because I'm a girl." she replied.
"What? Did this guy seriously say that to you?" Tundra asked, knowing that such a thing was absurd. "That's nothing but a pile of blitznak, kid! I've come across many women who were more than capable warriors! You don't need to be a man to be strong, so just ignore that idiot, because he doesn't know what he's talking about. You will be a great Avatar, whether you're a boy or not."
"How do you know?" Korra asked.
"Because I'm a warrior, Korra. I can sense one's potential, and yours is formidable. With the right training, you can grow into a strong young woman and will become the greatest Avatar since the very first. I believe it." Tundra replied.
When he had first visited the village after the incident with the Space Thugs, Katara and the others had brought him up to speed about how their planet worked. The species that inhabited it, their powers, the limitations of those powers and how they've been exceeded with each new generation, everything. He had even been brought up to speed about the Avatar and their role in the lives of everyone on the planet. How the Avatar is the bridge between the mortal and spirit realms and is the only being on the planet who can master all four primary bending elements: Earth, Fire, Air, and Water, and how the Avatar is essentially reborn into a new life after the death of the previous. Tenzin's father, Aang, had been the Avatar born before Korra and was primarily an Airbender. In fact, he was the only Airbender alive after Firelord Sozin had killed Avatar Roku and then laid waste to the Air Nomads in hopes of preventing the reincarnation of the Avatar.
Tundra was feeling quite a bit of Frieza from this Sozin fellow.
The two seem to have a penchant for genocide.
Needless to say, the main failed spectacularly in his goal.
Back on topic, it pissed Tundra off immensely that someone could be so arrogant as to think that women can't be strong. He's met plenty of female fighters that could kick his ass seventeen different ways sideways to Sunday, and this guy has the nerve to say that Korra can't be a good Avatar just because she's a girl? He's nipping this problem in the bud right now!
Korra sniffled and looked up at him with big, teary eyes and a runny nose. Tundra took a tissue out of his coat pocket and handed it to the little girl telling her to dry her tears and blow her nose, which she did before he incinerated the tissue with a bit of Ki. Korra held up her arms to him, silently asking him to pick her up. He did so and set her on his hip as they made their way back to the village. Tundra's gonna be having words with the White Lotus, rest assured of that.
Meanwhile, back at Tonraq's hut, the man currently had the member of the White Lotus who had said those things about his daughter backed against the wall as he had him in a one-handed chokehold.
"How dare you say those things about my daughter, you damn bastard!" snarled Tonraq.
"I was just saying what is true. That girl will never be a good Avatar, as only a man can do that." the arrogant White Lotus member managed to choke out.
We'll just call him Genma. (A/N: I really hate Genma from Ranma ½, and I think you all know why.)
"Then how do you explain Avatar Yangchen or Avatar Kiyoshi? They were some of the strongest Avatars of their time and they were both women." Senna said with a scowl.
"Those stories are obviously fabricated. They were both weak and worthless and should have spent their time cooking meals and birthing children like women should!" Genma said without thinking.
This caused most of the men in the room, aside from Tonraq, to wince and reflexively cover their groins as Senna kicked Genma in the nuts as hard as she could for that comment. Senna absolutely hates sexist pigs like Genma, and Sokka found himself glad that he dropped that way of thinking while he was still young, otherwise he might have found himself in a similar world of hurt. And she would have done much worse to Genma as he fell to the ground holding his now very likely pulverized balls had Tenzin and Zuko not held her back.
"Well, I can't say that he didn't deserve that."
Everyone looked to the door as Tundra walked in carrying Korra as he closed the door behind him with his tail.
"Korra!" gasped Senna as she ran to Tundra.
"I believe this belongs to you?" Tundra asked, though it sounded like a statement.
"Oh, thank goodness you're okay! You had us worried sick!" Senna said to her daughter as she took her from Tundra.
"I'm sorry, mommy." Korra said, burying her face in her mother's shoulder.
"Now then, where is the walking dead man who upset Korra?" Tundra asked as his eyes narrowed into a death glare that would have made Frieza and his brother, Cooler, proud.
Tonraq just pointed to Genma who was slowly recovering from the nutcracker he was forced to endure earlier. Tundra looked at the man who had a pathetically low battle strength of fifty, and turned his gaze to the White Lotus leader who flinched at the piercing look. Especially the utter contempt within those blood red eyes of Tundra's.
"You know, when Tenzin and Firelord Zuko first told me of the Order of the White Lotus and its former members during the Hundred Year War, I actually had some respect for this order of yours." he said. "But now, I see that it's merely a shell of its former self. You and all of the members I have met are nothing but pathetic weaklings compared to the old order, and your wisdom has clearly diminished if you're recruiting arrogant, sexist fools like him."
"Now, now, there is no need for hostility. He is still young and can learn from his mistakes. I can assure you that-"
"I don't want your empty promises that I know you can't keep, you old crone!" exclaimed Tundra. "I want you lot to get out of here and leave Korra in peace! I trust Katara enough to handle her waterbending training, especially since I'm not a bender myself, but I would sooner feed myself to a school of ravenous sharks than entrust her training to the likes of you and what may as well by now be a cult!"
The White Lotus looked absolutely affronted at their organization being called a cult and would have fired back a retort, but they were sent flying out of the hut and far out over the horizon, likely towards the mainland of the Earth Kingdom. And Genma wasn't too far behind as Tundra grabbed him by the neck and threw him out using his tail.
"Good riddance." scoffed Tonraq.
"I know that what Genma said about Korra was out of line, Tundra, but did you really have to go so far with them?" Tenzin asked.
"Probably not, but their behavior just pissed me off to no end. They've just proven that their arrogance has grown while the wisdom that they once had has greatly diminished." Tundra replied. "I won't be surprised if Genma tries to take vengeance in the future by attempting to kill Korra in hopes that the next Avatar will be born a male."
"Surely you don't believe that he would do that, right?" Tenzin asked, concerned.
He may be serious and hard-headed when it comes to certain things, but even he wasn't stupid. He was more or less trying to convince himself at this point. But the serious look from Tundra suggested that the Frieza species knew otherwise.
"I'm afraid that Tundra may be right, Tenzin. It would appear that the White Lotus has truly changed. And not for the better." Zuko said. "It's so sad to see what the organization that my uncle Iroh helped create during the Hundred Year War has started to become. I had hoped I was wrong about what was becoming of it."
"Things change, Firelord Zuko. And it's not always for the better." Tundra said, setting the furs he brought with him off to the side. "I had been coming to the village to trade these furs for supplies, but I suppose I'll stay here and help oversee Korra's training. And I might just teach her some of what I know about martial arts to give her a little more diversity in her arsenal."
The grownups agreed and it was decided that Katara would give Korra her first lesson on Waterbending tomorrow morning. Tundra had set up a hammock in the living room, which was plenty comfortable for him.
The next day, Tundra was outside watching as Katara instructed Korra in the art of waterbending, all the while taking notes to ensure that he could at least train her somewhat in case Katar couldn't for some reason.
"Now, watch me, Korra. Waterbending is all about slow, calm movements." Katara instructed.
Tundra saw a grin appear on the little girl's face and easily anticipated what she would do next. As she sent a wave of snow at Katara, Tundra used his own telekinetic power to redirect the snow right back at Korra.
"YIPE!" yelped Korra, who found herself buried in snow.
Katara and Korra's parents laughed as Korra poked her head out of the snow and glared at Tundra who smirked back. Honestly, at her age, it looked more cute than menacing.
"No fair! You're bigger and stronger than me!" pouted Korra.
"Come now, age and strength had nothing to do with it. I just know how the mind of a high energy child works." Tundra said, still smirking.
He really did know how they worked due to his own interactions with Trunks's child self and Goten from the time rift in Conton City that contained Capsule Corp. From his best guess, it was taken from a point in time before Majin Buu was first awakened by Babidi.
"Still, it's better that you didn't hit her with that, squirt. You don't know just how strong you really are for your age, and you could have hurt Katara badly." Tundra said, lightly scolding Korra as she got up out of the snow.
"I didn't mean to." Korra said apologetically.
"I know you didn't, kiddo." Tundra said, ruffling her hair.
"Now, now, I may be old but I'm not that frail just yet. I've battled more dangerous waterbenders that her. She'll learn to control her powers in time." Katara said.
"Although, it looks like we'll have to cut training short. There's a storm headed our way." Tonraq said, noticing the dark clouds on the horizon.
"Awww!" whined Korra.
Bidding farewell to Katara, they went inside where Tundra put some logs in the fireplace to light a fire. But it wasn't long before they heard howling in the distance.
"What is that sound? Arctic wolves?" Tundra asked.
"Sounds more like Polarbear-Dogs to me." Tonraq said.
"And it sounds like a whole pack of them." Senna added.
Tundra couldn't help but chuckle as Korra started imitating the howls, reminding him of himself when he was a little boy from what his parents used to tell him. And all of the home videos from the family album that they showed him. Korra pouted as Tonraq led her back inside and closed the door.
"But daddy, I want to go play with them!" whined Korra.
"Sweetie, you can't. Polarbear-Dogs are wild animals, and they'd gobble you up in one bite." Tonraq said.
"They don't scare me!" exclaimed Korra.
"They should…" Senna said under her breath.
Tundra chuckled and said, "With that attitude of hers, Korra would fit right in if she were born amongst the Saiyans."
Tonraq, Korra, and Senna looked at each other as cartoon question marks appeared over their heads before turning to Tundra and asking all at once, "What's a Saiyan?"
Tundra lit the fire and said, "Saiyans are a race of aliens like I am, but they look nearly identical to humans and Elementians like yourselves. However, all Saiyans are born with tails like those of monkeys which contain a special gland that, on the night of a full moon, triggers a transformation into a giant ape-like creature known simply as a Great Ape or an Oozaru. All Saiyans, with the rare few exceptions, are born with black hair and eyes that are commonly in messy and spiky styles, and they all share a natural born lust for combat combined with a drive to get stronger. Furthermore, because they live and thrive in battle, Saiyans have special genetics that allow them to remain in their prime until they reach their early eighties where they begin to show signs of physical aging."
"Lucky monkeys…" Senna pouted.
Later that night, everyone was tucked into bed and sleeping as they waited out the storm. Except for Korra who lay in bed awake as she listened to the howling of the Polarbear-Dogs. It sounded like they were really close. She quietly got out of bed and tip-toed to the main room where Tundra seemed to be sleeping in his hammock, his tail twitching every so often. She quickly and quietly put on her warming clothes and snuck outside to play with the Polarbear-Dogs. But as she left, she was unaware that one of Tundra's eyes had opened.
'That girl is more like a Saiyan than I realized.'
Korra followed the sounds of the howling over a hill, occasionally howling in response to the creatures. As she made it over the hill, she gave a beaming smile as she saw a small Polarbear-Dog pup all by itself.
"Are you lost?" she asked, walking closer to it. "You're just a pup. Where's your pack?"
Naturally, the pup was highly suspicious of Korra and started growling, warning the little girl to back off.
"I'm not going to hurt you. I'm friendly." Korra said.
She reached into her coat pocket and pulled out a piece of dried fish.
"You like fish jerky?"
She held the food out to the pup, making no sudden movements as the pup stopped growling and slowly approached, sniffing the food. After about a minute, the pup trusted Korra enough and ate the food from her hand.
"You're not so scary. You're just hungry." Korra said, smiling at the Polarbear-Dog pup.
What Korra didn't know was that Tundra was watching her from a distance, ready to intervene in case things went south. But it appeared that he wouldn't have to, as the lost pup quickly took a shine to the young Avatar. He quietly chuckled as he watched Korra get on all fours and run around the Polarbear-Dog trying to entice her to play with her(Korra). Tundra can tell from the feel of the pup's energy that she's a female, in case you were wondering. But he knew he couldn't dilly-dally. The storm was beginning to pick up.
"Uh-oh… which way is home?" Korra asked. "I think we're both lost now…"
"Not as lost as you might think."
Korra looked up and smiled as Tundra floated over and knelt down next to her and Naga.
"What were you thinking sneaking out at night, and especially with a storm on the way?" Tundra asked, scolding Korra for her recklessness.
"I'm sorry, Tundra, I just wanted to play with the Polarbear-Dogs. And then I met this little pup. She's lost her pack, and now I'm lost, too." Korra said.
Tundra just sighed and shook his head, a tired grin on his face. For some reason, he just couldn't find it in him to stay mad at this kid. She really has grown on him since he first arrived on this planet.
"Okay, I'll take you both to my cave for the night where you can rest and get warmed up."
He picked up Korra and her new Polarbear-Dog and flew off towards his cave. Fortunately, he could still see where he was going as the storm hadn't picked up too badly, and they made it there in no time at all. Setting the two down on a fur rug, Tundra got to work starting a fire. Within a few minutes, a roaring fire was going and the cave was warmed up nicely, protected from the freezing wind and snow. As Tundra stoked the fire, he saw Korra sitting against the wall of his cave looking downtrodden.
"Something on your mind, Korra? You're not thinking about what Genma said, are you?" he asked.
"It's not that, Tundra, it's just… I thought that being the Avatar would be fun, but it's just a bunch of rules. Everyone wants me to be just like Aang, but I don't know how. I don't think I can ever be Aang like everyone wants me to be." Korra replied.
She started petting the little pup as she settled down in her lap. Tundra walked over and draped a fur blanket over both of them as he sat down next to them and put an arm around Korra.
"Well, of course you can't be Aang. And do you know why that is?" Tundra asked, getting a no in response. "It's because you're not Aang, you're you. You got that? You may be the next Avatar in this whole crazy cycle of reincarnation, but you're not Aang himself. You don't have to be exactly like your predecessor to be a great Avatar, you just have to be the best you that you can be. Understand?"
Korra looked up at Tundra and smiled as she nodded her head, feeling a lot better. She giggled as the Polarbear-Dog started giving her doggie kisses which made Tundra smile at their interactions. Korra yawned and leaned up against the lizardman who had been there for her these last couple of days while the Pup was already out like a light.
"Go to sleep now, Korra. I'll be right here when you wake up." Tundra gently said.
"M'kay…"
Within a few minutes, the three of them were sleeping soundly in their warm, well-lit cave.
The next day, Senna, Tonraq, and Katara were out looking for Korra as they saw that she wasn't in bed that morning and was apparently nowhere in the village.
"Korra, are you out here?!" called Tonraq.
Senna looked to the sky and asked, "Tonraq, look! Isn't that Tundra flying this way?"
The search party of three looked up and rushed over as Tundra set down a few feet away from Senna and set down Korra and her Polarbear-Dog.
"Korra! Do you have any idea how worried we were?" Tonraq asked, not noticing the pup right away.
"I can't believe you and Tundra spent all that night in a storm like that." Senna said, more than a little concerned for her only daughter.
"It wasn't just me and Tundra." Korra said before hugging her Polarbear-Dog. "Naga was with us!"
"Naga?" Tonraq asked.
That's when he, Senna, and Katara finally noticed the pup who barked and panted like the puppy she was as her tail was wagging a mile a minute. Tundra just smiled and knelt down, scratching the pup behind her ear.
"That's what I named her. She lost her pack so she needs a new family now." Korra explained before asking "Can I keep her?"
Tonraq and Senna looked at each other and said, "Ask your mother/father."
"Oh, for crying out loud, just let her keep the dog. There's no harm in it. Besides, do you honestly want to try and break up a friendship like that?"
Tundra gestured to where Korra was laughing and playing with Naga in the snow, the Polarbear-Dog pup easily keeping up with the high-energy girl that Korra is.
Tonraq smiled and said, "No, I suppose not."
"I guess there's no harm in letting her keep Naga." Senna relented.
"Everything will be fine, you two." Katara piped up. "Besides, all Avatars have had animal guides in the past. Why, my husband, Aang, had two animal guides in Appa and Momo. And it looks like Korra has just discovered hers."
And so, it was agreed that Korra would be allowed to keep Naga, much to the delight of the little girl and the Polarbear-Dog. Tundra smiled as he saw that Korra and Naga would go on many adventures together in the years to come.
***To Be Continued…***
Ending A/N: And so, ends another chapter! I'm a little disappointed that the previous chapter didn't get as a lot of reviews, really only one as far as I know, but I'm holding out hope that that will change. So, yeah, now Korra and Naga are together, and the White Lotus have a strike on their record. I didn't really like the White Lotus in Legend of Korra; in case you didn't know. Why? Not only were they arrogant, but throughout the series… THEY WERE UTTERLY USELESS BUFFOONS!
