Chapter 18: Destruction
WARNING: LOTS OF BLOOD AND GORE!
As Chise tried to push back against Ruth, she looked back at his face and saw Ruth let out an evil chuckle as he gave Chise a sinister grin. Suddenly, Chise let out of scream of agony as she looked to see that Ruth had lit his hand up with fire, and was now burning Chise's right hand. Chise yelled in pain as she tried desperately to get away from Ruth, but Ruth had a burning tight grip and Chise's Dragon Hand was still lodged in the tree. After a few more moments of burning, Ruth sucker punched Chise in the face, causing her hand to become unstuck and causing her to fall back on the ground. Ruth walked over to Chise and then stomped on her stomach, pinning her down. Ruth then lit both of his hands up with flames as he looked down at Chise.
"Now, it's time to die, Chise! I hope you burn in he-GAH!" Corrupted Ruth yelled as he was suddenly hit with a blast of lighting from behind.
Ruth fell next to Chise as he was still suffering from the lighting spell that he was just hit with. Chise sat up and saw that Cartaphilus had blasted Ruth with lightning magic. Cartaphilus looked very disappointed. Chise tried to reach out to Ruth, but then she was hit with the lightning spell, causing her to slide back a bit. Cartaphilus then looked back to Ruth as he weakly tried to get back up.
"Enough, Ruth, you've wasted enough time. Come, The Spell-Breaker awaits us." Cartaphilus said as he turned around and used his magic to open a portal up.
"No. I have something to take care of first." Corrupted Ruth said as he started to crawl over to Chise.
Cartaphilus did not like this as he blasted another wave of lighting at Ruth, causing him to fall back to the floor in pain.
"You will do as you are told, Ruth. Now come here, dog." Cartaphilus said as he prepared to blast more lighting at Ruth.
Ruth panted hard and then glared at Chise as he weakly stood back up on his feet.
"You're lucky, Chise." Corrupted Ruth said as he stood up. "But just you wait, I'll be back. And when I do, I swear, I'll make sure you burn for this." Corrupted Ruth said as he turned to walk away.
"Ruth! Don't go! Ru-!" Chise cried before she was suddenly kicked hard in the face by Ruth.
"Shut up." Corrupted Ruth said as he walked away from Chise and walked into the portal, not looking back.
"(Chuckle) See you around, Chise." Cartaphilus said as he gave Chise a little wave before he walked into the portal himself, shutting it once he was through.
Once the portal was shut, Cartaphilus and Ruth walked for a few moments before they finally returned the Spell-Breaker's hideout. As Ruth stepped out of the portal, he looked at his surroundings, this was a dark and scary looking place. Ruth couldn't tell for sure where exactly he was but one thing he could tell was that this place was huge and was also built underground. Skeletons were all over the place, standing guard and awaiting orders from their master. Cartaphilus led Ruth to a room that was obviously made it be some sort of meeting room. Along with the Spell-Breaker, Ruth could see Lindel and Angelica standing before the Spell-Breaker. Lindel must have been given new arms due to Elias having ripped them off in their fight. Angelica was very well healed with some sort of healing spell as she didn't appear to have a scratch on her. Lindel and Angelica turned to look at Ruth and were quite surprised to see him.
"So, she got you killed too?" Corrupted Lindel asked, jokingly.
"Shut your mouth before I burn you to a crisp, Lindel." Corrupted Ruth shot back.
"Hmph, quite pathetic if you ask me. I thought you'd last longer, Ruth." Corrupted Angelica said.
"You shut up too or I'll burn your little girl's face off!" Corrupted Ruth yelled.
"You DARE threaten my daughter!" Corrupted Angelica yelled.
"Silence!" The Spell-Breaker yelled as the corrupted stood at attention. "Cartaphilus, Simon's body is in the medical room, go resurrect him or something and be quick about it." The Spell-Breaker ordered.
"Of course, I'll just be a moment." Cartaphilus said as he left the room to go deal with Simon.
As the corrupted waited for Cartaphilus's return, they could tell that the Spell-Breaker was very angry. No doubt that he was mad about their failure. The corrupted didn't care though, after all, why should they? A few moments later, Cartaphilus walked back into the room, along with Simon who had just been resurrected. Simon walked over and stood next to the rest of the corrupted. Just then, Althea and Merituuli walked in from another room and walked over to the rest of the corrupted. Once all of the corrupted were gathered together, the Spell-Breaker spoke up.
"Now that all of you are here, we can begin our little session. First up, Lindel, Angelica, Simon... WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT!? How could you fucking fail!? Lindel I can somewhat understand since he was fighting Elias, but what are YOUR excuses, Simon and Angelica!? HUH!? TELL ME!" The Spell-Breaker yelled.
Simon and Angelica said nothing as they just stared at the Spell-Breaker. Seeing how they weren't responding, this made the Spell-Breaker very very angry.
"Simon! You lost to Joseph! JOSEPH! I can't believe it! You actually lost to JOSEPH! HE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE ANY MAGIC! TELL ME HOW YOU FAILED SO BADLY!" The Spell-Breaker yelled.
"... I... have no excuses for failing, master." Corrupted Simon said as he rubbed the back of his head.
"YOU BETTER FUCKING NOT!" The Spell-Breaker yelled before he turned to Angelica. "ANGELICA! If Simon losing to Joseph wasn't bad enough, you lost to fucking Silky! SILKY! SHE'S A FUCKING MAID! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!? TELL ME!" The Spell-Breaker yelled.
"There's nothing wrong with me, master." Corrupted Angelica said as she showed no fear to the Spell-Breaker's anger.
"WELL OBVIOUSLY THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU! GET THAT IN YOUR FUCKING HEAD YOU BITCH!" The Spell-Breaker yelled.
"Yes, master." Corrupted Angelica said annoyingly as she gave a very fake curtsy, which angered the Spell-Breaker.
"Keep up the fucking attitude and I will blow Althea's head off! You got me!?" The Spell-Breaker asked as he took out his gun and then aimed it at Althea, while a skeleton pulled Althea's hands behind her back, holding her in place.
"Mommy, help!" Corrupted Althea yelled as she tried to break free.
"WAIT! Please don't! I am sorry, master!" Corrupted Angelica cried as she pleaded for the Spell-Breaker not to shoot.
"Yeah, you better fucking be!" The Spell-Breaker said as he put his gun away and the skeleton released its grip on Althea.
"Mommy!" Corrupted Althea cried as she jumped into Angelica's arms.
"There, there, it's alright. Mommy is here." Corrupted Angelica said as she comforted her daughter.
"Lindel, you get a pass. But only a light one. Fail me again, and I'll make sure you stay dead." The Spell-Breaker said.
"Yes, master." Corrupted Lindel said.
"Since when you do be so obedient to someone else, Lindel?" Corrupted Merituuli asked, jokingly.
"Don't mock me, Merituuli." Corrupted Lindel said as he gave an annoyed look at his familiar.
"I'm not done talking you all! SHUT UP!" The Spell-Breaker yelled as all the corrupted went back to focusing. "Since this little battle was a complete failure, I'm assigning you all to another mission. Do you all remember that village where we got Simon? I'm sending you all there. When you get to the village, destroy it and kill everyone. Leave no prisoners." The Spell-Breaker said as he used his magic to open up a portal.
"Um, mister Spell-Breaker?" Corrupted Althea said as she innocently raised her hand.
"(Groan) What do you want?" The Spell-Breaker asked.
"Why do we have to destroy that village?" Corrupted Althea asked.
"Because I said so. Now, all of you go and do not fail me again." The Spell-Breaker said as he motioned for them to enter the portal.
"No." Corrupted Ruth said, not wanting to take orders from the Spell-Breaker at the moment.
The Spell-Breaker said nothing, but inside, he was yelling and roaring with rage. Without uttering a single word, the Spell-Breaker suddenly pulled out his gun and shot Merituuli in the head, killing him again.
"Merituuli, no! Damn you! Damn you!" Corrupted Lindel yelled as he held the body of Merituuli.
"YOU WILL DO AS I SAY! DO NOT FUCKING TEST ME! NOW GET GOING!" The Spell-Breaker yelled as he fired another shot in the air.
With that, the corrupted did as they were told as they all went through the portal. The only one that didn't go through the portal was Althea as she wanted to say something to the Spell-Breaker. Of course, Merituuli wasn't going anywhere since he was dead. Althea lightly tugged on the Spell-Breaker's leg to get his attention.
"Mister Spell-Breaker?" Corrupted Althea said as she tugged on the Spell-Breaker's leg.
"(Groan) What is it now?" The Spell-Breaker asked.
"Since this will be my first mission, can I use all of my new powers that Cartaphilus gave me?" Corrupted Althea asked innocently.
"(Chuckle) Of course you can." The Spell-Breaker said as he knelt down in front of Althea and patted her on the head.
"Yay!" Corrupted Althea cheered.
"Remember, leave no prisoners. Kill everyone." The Spell-Breaker reminded her.
"I promise." Corrupted Althea said as she let out an innocent yet wicked giggle.
"Good... Now get in the god damn portal you little shit!" The Spell-Breaker said as he got up quickly and then kicked Althea into the portal, shutting it once she went through. "I don't have time to deal with this crap!" The Spell-Breaker said as he stormed off.
"Shall I go with them?" Cartaphilus asked.
"No. You know what? I don't care! Just don't bother me." The Spell-Breaker said as he started walking away.
"Where are you going, my friend?" Cartaphilus asked.
"Don't question me unless you want to die. And for the last god damn time, we are not friends." The Spell-Breaker said as he left the room.
Meanwhile, the corrupted had arrived at the outskirts of the village. From where they were standing, it seemed like the villagers were in perfect peace and harmony. The corrupted looked at each other before they decided to do their task.
"This is stupid." Corrupted Ruth said.
"Why can't we just go and attack Elias's house instead?" Corrupted Angelica asked.
"I believe that the Spell-Breaker wants Chise to see that the longer she remains alive, the more innocent people will die." Corrupted Lindel explained.
"That does make sense." Corrupted Angelica said.
"Yes, and I for one don't mind breaking Chise a bit before we kill her." Corrupted Lindel said as he let out a evil chuckle.
"Ah yes, how wonderful it will be to finally kill that little monster once and for all." Corrupted Angelica said.
"If we're lucky, Chise is here in the village as we speak." Corrupted Simon said.
"If she is here, she won't be alone. Elias will most definitely be with her." Corrupted Ruth said.
"If that is the case, I will deal with Elias and the rest of you capture Chise so we can bring her to the Spell-Breaker." Corrupted Lindel said.
"Hold on here, why are you acting all high and mighty as if you are our leader?" Corrupted Ruth asked.
"Because I am your leader, Ruth." Corrupted Lindel replied.
"Under whose authority?" Corrupted Ruth asked.
"Under mister Spell-Breaker's authority, doggy Ruth." Corrupted Althea said.
"She's right, sometime before you joined us, The Spell-Breaker assigned Lindel to be our leader." Corrupted Simon said.
"Hmph, sounds like a stupid choice to me." Corrupted Ruth said.
"You don't like the Spell-Breaker's decision? Go ahead and complain to him and get a bullet to the head while you're at it, Ruth." Corrupted Lindel said.
"Whatever. I just hate having to take orders from you of all people." Corrupted Ruth said.
"Well, we all know who is the reason why we're all like this." Corrupted Lindel said.
"Chise." They all said as their heads were filled with murderous thoughts.
"I can't wait to get my hands on her. I'll burn her to ashes." Corrupted Ruth said.
"Careful now, Ruth. Just don't burn her face off please. The Spell-Breaker promised Althea that she could keep Chise's eyes." Corrupted Angelica said.
"Yeah! Mister Spell-Breaker did promise me that! Chise's eyes are so beautiful! She won't mind if I take them." Corrupted Althea said.
"I'd be more than happy to force Chise's wicked soul into the fires of hell where she belongs." Corrupted Simon said.
"Not before I break every bone in her little wretched body and then snap her neck." Corrupted Angelica said.
"Yes, yes, now if we are all done fantasizing on how we're going to kill Chise, let's get back to what our master ordered us to do, shall we?" Corrupted Lindel asked.
"You're right, let's trash this place. BLAZING FUSION!" Corrupted Ruth yelled as went into his Blazing Fusion Form.
"Let's go, everyone." Corrupted Lindel said as they all started making their way to the village.
As the corrupted approached the village, they each prepared their magic and their powers for the destruction that they were about to bring upon this peaceful village. As soon as the corrupted were close enough, Lindel stepped forward, starting off the assault.
"DRAGON PULSE!" Corrupted Lindel yelled as he fired his attack right into the village.
The blast startled the villagers and then they all started screaming and running as the rest of the corrupted began to attack the village.
"No one here is leaving!" Corrupted Lindel yelled as he used his magic to create a giant magical barrier around the entire village, ensuring that no once could get in or out of the village until the barrier was taken out. "Remember! Leave no survivors! Kill everyone!" Corrupted Lindel said as the corrupted started to kill everyone in the village.
Simon was chasing after a woman who was desperately trying to flee with her baby in her arms. Simon eventually had her in his sights and then froze her and her baby with his Ice Beam. Simon walked over to the frozen bodies of the mother and baby and then smashed their frozen bodies, causing them to shatter like glass. Simon chuckled as he watched the bodies shatter and then he was suddenly hit in the back of the head by a villager. Simon turned to face the villager and weaved out of the way, avoiding another punch. The villager tried to punch Simon again but Simon grabbed the mans fist and then used his magic to freeze the man's hand. Simon then crushed the mans hand, causing it to shatter. The man screamed in pain as his hand was destroyed by Simon's ice magic. Simon then formed a large icicle in the palm of his hand and then drove the icicle right into the man's neck, killing him almost instantly. Simon yanked the icicle out of the mans neck and then turned to face two more villagers that had come to stop him. Before the villagers could do anything, Simon fired his Ice Bam at their heads, freezing their heads instantly. Simon then walked up to them and grabbed their heads and then smashed them together, causing both to shatter to bloody pieces. Simon then used his magic to throw a bunch of large icicles into the backs of about 6 villagers, killing all of them instantly. Simon then turned around and watched as a young boy ran inside of a house and quickly shut the door behind him. Simon chuckled as he made his way to the house and playfully knocked on the door.
"(Knock, Knock) Hello? Anybody home?" Corrupted Simon asked as he then busted the door down. "Hello? Don't be afraid little one, I just want to break the ice." Corrupted Simon said as he chuckled.
As Simon walked through the small home, he was suddenly stabbed in the arm by the father of the house. Simon yelled in pain as he was stabbed. Simon then elbowed the man in the face and then pulled the knife out of his arm.
"You will regret that. Now, freeze!" Corrupted Simon said as he used his Ice Beam to completely freeze the man.
With the man completely frozen, Simon grabbed a chair and smashed it against the man's body, causing him to shatter to pieces. Simon then walked into a bedroom and saw the boy in the corner of the room. Simon chuckled as he approached the boy.
"(Chuckle) In the name of the father, and of the son, and of the holy spirit, I condemn you to an icy hell." Corrupted Simon said as he grabbed the boy's face, freezing it and then smashing it to pieces. "(Chuckle) What a chilling way to leave this world." Corrupted Simon said with a chuckle.
Simon then walked out of the house and flung an icicle into the back of a villager's head. Simon laughed as he kept walking through the village before he broke into another house. As soon as Simon broke down the door he was greeted by the sight of a man standing in front of his wife and daughter holding a large knife.
"F-Father Simon!?" The man cried as he saw the face of the village priest.
"Ahh, Frank, my good friend. It's good to see you again." Corrupted Simon said as he started to slowly walk towards the family.
"B-But, but you were killed!" Frank cried.
"Hmm, yes I was, I guess I got better. By the way, I noticed that you didn't come to confession last week, that is awfully sad. Oh well, no time to repent!" Corrupted Simon said as he froze Frank with an Ice Beam.
With Frank frozen, Simon walked over to his body and then just punched the head off of his body. Simon then walked around him and then shot an icicle right into the wife's mouth, killing her instantly while pinning her head to the wall. The daughter screamed in fear as Simon approached her slowly. Simon got on his knees and stared into her eyes.
"P-Please Father Simon, God wouldn't like what you're doing." the girl said as she cried out of fear.
"(Chuckle) Oh my dear, DO I LOOK LIKE SOMEONE WHO CARES WHAT GOD THINKS!?" Corrupted Simon yelled as he formed a large icicle in the palm of his hand and drove it right through the girl's forehead, killing her instantly.
Meanwhile, Angelica had found herself surrounded by a group of villagers armed with weapons. Angelica however was not intimidated in the slightest.
"(Chuckle) How unfortunate, it's a shame I have to do this, STONE PILLARS!" Corrupted Angelica yelled as she used her magic to raise a bunch of pillars made of stone from the ground.
The Stone Pillars shot out of the ground and impaled all of the surrounding villagers from below until the pillars had come out through their mouths, leaving the villagers looking like skewered meat. Angelica was then attacked from behind by another villager, but Angelica had managed to dodge just in time. The villager then tried to stab Angelica but she grabbed ahold of his hand and then broke arm with a good twist. Before the man could even try to do anything, Angelica grabbed be man by the face and then yanked him back into her, headbutting him hard in the face and breaking his nose. Angelica then kicked the man so hard in the stomach that he stumbled back into a wall and just stood there, too much in pain to move, giving Angelica the chance to take him out.
"RUBY FIST!" Corrupted Angelica yelled as a bunch of small rubies came out of the ground and formed around her right hand into the shape of a fist and then smashed her fist against the man's face, causing it to burst like a crushed watermelon.
Angelica stepped away from the headless body only to get punched in the back of the head by another villager. Angelica spun around quickly and backhanded the villager in the face with her Ruby Fist, dislocating the villager's jaw. Angelica then punched the villager 4 times in the stomach, causing the villager to cough up lots of blood. Angelica then shoved the villager to the ground and then she used her Ruby Fist to crush the villager's head to bloody bits with one good punch. With those villagers out of the way, Angelica disabled her Ruby Fist and continued to destroy the surrounding houses with her powers. After a few minutes Angelica heard a group of villagers running up to her from behind. Angelica jumped up in the air and then used her magic to raise a bunch of stones into the air and then she flung them into the villager's head. Angelica landed back on the ground and looked up to see a man charging at her with a large stick.
"EMERALD SPEAR!" Corrupted Angelica yelled as many emeralds came out of the ground and formed into a spear.
Angelica ran towards the man and then jumped up in the air and speared the villager right through the mouth, with the spear coming out from his groin. After a few moments of watching the man twitch in a bloody mess, Angelica lifted up the spear and flung the man off of the spear and tossing his body through a house window. Angelica then spun around and threw her Emerald Spear at a fleeing couple. The spear hit its target as the couple were instantly pinned to the wall, with the spear penetrating through both of them. Angelica then used her magic to raise a bunch of rocks from the ground and then mashed them together to form a decent sized boulder. Angelica then used her magic to throw the boulder so hard at a villager so hard, that the villager's head was knocked straight off by the boulder. Right after Angelica had decapitated the villager, another villager ran up and grabbed ahold of Angelica from behind, holding her at knife point.
"You move and I'll slice your damn neck, you bitch!" The villager said as he kept his blade firmly pressed against Angelica's neck.
Angelica just giggled at this threat as she knew how pointless this was.
"You're not going anywhere you monster!" the villager yelled as he heard Angelica giggle.
"(Giggle) Oh, I don't quite agree with that, sweetie." Corrupted Angelica said as she started to work her magic.
Angelica then used her magic to raise up two sharp stones from the ground and magically fire them straight into the villager's head, killing him instantly. As Angelica stepped away from the dead body, she saw a woman that was stuck underneath a wooden beam, desperately trying to free herself. Angelica then thought to herself that it would maybe be a bit fun to use more colorful methods of killing these villagers with her powers. Angelica smiled as she used her magic to raise a bunch of sapphires from the ground and then she sent them all flying into the woman's head, killing her instantly, making her face look like she was wearing some sort of sapphire death mask. Angelica then charged at a villager that had been badly burned, no doubt from Ruth's fire, and yanked him up to his feet. Angelica then used her magic to make a large dagger made of rubies. Angelica then drove her Ruby Dagger straight through the villager's forehead, killing the villager instantly. Angelica then saw a villager trying to run away from her after he made a wrong turn. Angelica scoffed as she used her magic to raise a bunch of beautiful crystals from the ground and then sent them all flying into the man's back, causing him to fall forward, dead. Then, a man ran at Angelica trying to to do anything to take her down, but Angelica heard him coming from a mile away and elbowed him in the face. With the man stunned, Angelica grabbed ahold of the sides of the man's face and started into his eyes.
"You just messed up, CRYSTALLIZATION!" Corrupted Angelica yelled as she used her magic to literally turn the man's face into cyan crystals.
With the man's head completely crystalized, Angelica gently shoved him back, causing him to fall to the ground. The exact moment that the man's head hit the ground, his head shattered to pieces, revealing nothing but cyan crystals, no brain, no eyes, no blood, no nothing, just pure crystals. Angelica was very pleased with her new powers as she admired the beautiful crystals that were once a man's head. Angelica then found herself once again surrounded by a group of villagers, armed with whatever weapons they could get their hands on. Angelica scoffed at this pathetic nonsense as she spoke to the villagers surrounding her.
"Oh please, you poor fools think you can stop me? I can kill all of you even without using my powers. Now, come at me!" Corrupted Angelica taunted.
With that, one of the villagers, who was armed with a broom, charged at Angelica. This went just as anyone would have expected it to go as Angelica grabbed the broom and then shoved it downwards, allowing her to headbutt the villager in the face. With the man stunned, Angelica grabbed his head and snapped his neck, killing him instantly. A woman charged at Angelica from behind, trying to smack her with a large pot. Angelica reacted quickly by ducking under the swing and then punching the woman in the stomach and then kicking her leg, causing the lady to fall on her back. Angelica walked above the woman and then stomped on her throat so hard, that she crushed her throat, killing her. Then, a man charged at Angelica with a butcher knife, but Angelica backflipped over the man and landed directly behind him. Angelica then grabbed the man's head and snapped his neck as well. Another man tried to bash Angelica with a brick but Angelica stopped him dead in his tracks by landing a good kick in the crotch. Angelica then grabbed ahold of the man's neck and then with all her might, ripped the man's throat out. Angelica then sidestepped out of the way as another man tried to stab her with a knife. Angelica then smacked the knife out of his hand and then jabbed her thumbs right into his eyes, gouging them out and then kicking him to the side. Angelica then charged at the last woman and knocked her to her feet. Angelica then snapped the lady's neck, killing her instantly. With that done, Angelica walked over to the man she blinded and then grabbed him by his torn open neck and then snapped his head right off of his body, finally killing him and taking out all of her weak opponents.
"(Evil Laugh) Oh, this is so much fun!" Corrupted Angelica said as she kicked the decapitated dead away from her, and continuing her attack.
Meanwhile, Ruth was burning down a house using his fire, also burning the family that he had trapped inside. Ruth didn't intend on stopping until he had completely burned the house down to the ground. While Ruth was busy burning the house, he was hit in the back of the head with a wood plank by a villager. Ruth fell to the floor, seemingly unconscious. With Ruth down, the villager approached Ruth, thinking him to be dead, and throwing away the plank he used to bash Ruth on the head. That was the moment that Ruth was waiting for as the moment he heard the plank hit the floor, he used his tail to trip the man, causing him to land on his back. Ruth then got back up on his feet and once he stood above the villager, he torched him until his corpse was completely charred and black. Ruth then decided to just finish up his previous action quickly by blasting a fireball at the house, causing it to explode. Once that was done, Ruth got on all fours and then jumped onto the roof of a house and then leaped from roof to roof. When Ruth found a suitable place to stop, he looked down to the panicking villagers. Ruth then blasted his fire in front of the path that a small group of villagers were taking, causing a huge flame to burn brightly, preventing them from going forward. Ruth then trapped them in by blasting fire at the rear, leaving the villagers with no where to run. Ruth then raised his hands in the air and prepared to torch the villagers.
"RAIN OF FIRE!" Corrupted Ruth yelled as he formed a dark orange cloud in the sky, then directing his hands in the direction of the trapped villagers, raining fire down on them.
After only a few short moments, the villagers had been burned to a black and charred crisp. Ruth then used his power to get rid of the fire, allowing him to safely jump back down to the ground. As Ruth landed, he looked up and happened to spot the curtain of a window suddenly shut in the house in front of him. Ruth grinned as he knew that people were trying to hide from his fire. Ruth got up and ran up the house, busting down the door and catching sight of a person slamming a door shut behind them. Ruth wasted no time as he broke the door down and spotted a family huddled in the corner. Ruth walked up to the family and then blasted them with fire, burning them to death. Seeing that the rest of the house was starting catch fire, Ruth deactivated his Blazing Fusion Form and morphed back into his dog form, immediately jumping through the window and away from the burning house. The moment Ruth was out of the house, he was hit in the face by a stone. Ruth shook his head in pain as he looked up to see who had thrown the stone, only to spot a young girl, looking terrified yet angry and holding another stone. Ruth snarled loudly at the girl and then let out a roar that scared the girl so much that she just dropped the stone and ran.
"No, you don't!" Corrupted Ruth growled as he started barking and chased after the girl.
The girl ran as fast as she could, with Ruth right on her tail. After a few minutes of running, the girl turned a corner into an alley and found herself trapped by a large pile of rubble. The girl turned around slowly as she heard the menacing growling coming from behind her. Ruth was deliberately creeping very slowly towards the girl, knowing that she had nowhere to run. As Ruth got closer and closer, he bared his sharp teeth at the girl, even shooting out a few flames from his mouth to scare her as much as possible. When Ruth was about an arms length away from the girl he started deep in her terrified eyes, while she stared into his green eyes. Ruth then leapt at the girl and sank his teeth deep into her neck. Ruth started to violently thrash about, ripping out the girls throat in the process, while she kept screaming in pain. Ruth eventually let her go, only to start biting at her stomach. Ruth then began to eat the girl, tearing chunks of flesh and chewing up as much as he could. Ruth eventually reached her intestines and started to pull them out, all while biting off as much as he could. Once Ruth was done with that, he went back to the girl's face and started to eat her face as well. When Ruth was done, you could hardly tell that this was a girl once, unless you really checked. Her face was completely destroyed and torn apart. Ruth spat up the chunks that he didn't feel like swallowing and then burned the girl's body to finish the job.
Ruth then walked out of the alley and went back to attacking the village. Ruth blasted his fire at a house and then blasted the house on the opposite side, burning them both down to the ground. Ruth was about to burn another house down when he was hit in the side by another stone. Ruth looked over and saw a man holding an axe in his hand. Ruth growled at the man and lunged at him, the man dodged out of the way and swung his axe. Ruth was also quick to dodge as he jumped out of the way of the axe, Ruth then used his long tail to grab the man by the neck. Ruth then used his tail to snap the man's neck, killing him instantly. Suddenly, a lady jumped on top of Ruth and was trying to strangle him. Ruth struggled only for a moment before he disappeared into the shadows below him. The lady was shocked to see this as she fell to the ground. Ruth then jumped out from behind her and blasted her with fire. Ruth was happy as heard the woman's screams of agony as she burned to death. As Ruth was listening to the woman burn, he was yanked back by his tail and thrown into a wall by a villager. Ruth growled as he shook himself back into focus. Ruth glared at the villager that had thrown him and then dove into the shadows. The villager panicked as he looked around frantically for where Ruth could be. After a few moments of searching, Ruth suddenly jumped out from in front of the villager. Ruth bit down on the villager's neck and ripped his throat out, causing so much blood to gush out. Ruth then morphed into his human form and punched the man right where he had his throat bitten out, allowing Ruth to punch his head off.
"W-Wait! A-Aren't you the... aren't you the dog that belongs to-?"
"Chise Hatori? Listen here, I don't belong to anyone! Now, BURN!" Corrupted Ruth yelled as he went back into his Blazing Fusion Form and burned the man alive.
Once the man was dead, Ruth found himself surrounded by a group of 5 men, ready to take him down. The first man charged at Ruth and tried to decapitate him with an axe, but Ruth ducked under the attack and used his Fire Punch to uppercut the man's head off. Ruth then ran at another man and punched his Flaming Fist right through the man's chest, punching his heart out and then crushing it in his hand. Ruth then yanked his arm out of the man's chest and threw a fire ball at the third man, blasting his head off. Ruth then charged at the fourth man and Blaze Kicked him so hard in the stomach, that his upper section actually launched off, cutting the man in half. Ruth then used his fire to burn the last guy to death until he was charred. Once all 5 of the villagers were taken out, Ruth heard a lady yelling as she was charging at Ruth, wielding a large machete. Ruth growled as he charged at her as well, lighting up his claws with fire.
"PYRO SLASH!" Corrupted Ruth yelled as he used his burning claws to slash the woman's stomach open, her guts spilling out onto the ground.
Ruth then dove back into the shadows and made his way over to a man who was trying to lift some rubble off of his wife. Ruth jumped out of the shadows and grabbed ahold of the man, throwing him to the ground. The man didn't go down so easily as he grabbed a small stone and threw it at Ruth, hitting him right in the face. Ruth was getting very fed up with having rocks thrown at him so he decided to use one of his more risky attacks.
"Prepare to die..." Corrupted Ruth said as he shut his eyes and turned his head away slowly from the man for a few seconds before he quickly turned his head back to face the man. "INTERNAL COMBUSTION!" Corrupted Ruth yelled as he suddenly snapped open his eyes, glaring at the man, blood trickling from his eyes like tears of blood.
As the man made eye contact with Ruth's eyes, his eyes instantly burst with flames and then he felt as if the insides of his body started to burn with flames. Then, the rest of the man's body was engulfed by flames and then after only a few seconds, the man's body was nothing but a pile of ashes. Once the attack was finished, Ruth covered his eyes in excruciating pain and fell to his knees as he screamed in agony. While Ruth's Internal Combustion was very deadly and efficient it did have a bad side effect. Every time Ruth would use this attack, he would go blind for about a minute. Ruth knew he was very vulnerable so he jumped into the shadows until his sight returned to him. All the while, the woman was desperately trying to free herself from the rubble. After a minute, Ruth popped back up and stood above the woman. After giving her a sly smirk, Ruth finished her off by burning her to death. Ruth laughed as he watched the lady burn to death.
Meanwhile Althea was giggling happily as she was back flipping and jumping all over the place like some sort of athlete. Since Althea was a young child when she was turned evil by Cartaphilus, Cartaphilus had given Althea 3 magic abilities, compared to the rest of the corrupted, who had only been given one magic ability. The first ability that Cartaphilus had given Althea was amazing agility and flexibility, which allowed her to move very fast and granting her the ability to jump high and do flips like it was nothing. Althea eventually landed back on the ground and ran up to a lady who was trying to open the door to her home.
"Hi miss! What pretty eyes you have! You don't mind if I look at them do you!?" Corrupted Althea asked as she plunged her fingers into the lady's face and ripping her eyes out. "Aww, now they're all bloody and gross! I don't want them anymore!" Corrupted Althea pouted as she crushed the eyes in her hands and then used her nails to slash open the lady's neck.
Althea started to happily skip down the road as she looked for more victims. Althea then spotted a man trying to sneak up on Ruth with a cleaver and Althea knew she couldn't let Ruth get hurt. Althea ran to where the man was and tugged on his leg. The man looked down and before he could say anything, Althea threw some dust in the man's eyes, causing him to fall back and drop his cleaver. Althea grabbed the man's cleaver and then kneeled in front of him. After letting out another giggle, Althea started to hack and slash the man's face with the cleaver. Blood splattered everywhere and soon enough, even the man's brain was turned to mush by how much Althea was hacking at him with her cleaver. Althea then took it a step further and decided to decapitate the man's head off, just for some sadistic fun. Once Althea was done, she got back up and saw a woman picking up a plank of wood to use as a weapon. Althea aimed carefully and then flung the cleaver at her, embedding the cleaver deep in the woman's head, killing her instantly.
"Score! Hooray!" Corrupted Althea cheered as she jumped up and down.
"Hey, you little monster!" A voice yelled from behind.
Althea turned around and saw a man pointing a shotgun at her and approaching slowly.
"Don't you dare move a single muscle or I blow your head off." The man said as he kept his gun aimed at Althea's head.
"Mister, you wouldn't shoot me would you? I'm only little." Corrupted Althea said innocently.
"After what I saw you just do, you're anything BUT innocent." The man said as he fired his gun, but Althea was quick as she dodged the bullet.
"Missed me!" Corrupted Althea said as she stuck her tongue out at the man as he fired another shot. "Missed me again!" Corrupted Althea said as he kept on missing until she jumped above him and landed on his shoulders. "My turn!" Corrupted Althea said happily.
With that, Althea jammed her thumbs into the man's eyes, stabbing them out and scratching his face up as well. Althea jumped back onto the ground as the man fell on his knees covering his face in pain. Althea then grabbed the shot gun and using all of her strength, shoved the gun right down the man's throat, killing him. But just to make sure he would stay dead. Althea pulled the trigger and the gun fired from inside the man's body. Althea clapped at this and then turned to see a man holding a hammer, ready to hit Althea. Althea just giggled at this and then used her second magic ability given to her by Cartaphilus. Althea looked over and saw there was a well close by. Althea then raised her hands up in the direction of the well and then, using her magic, lifted the water out of the well and sent it towards the man. Althea had also been given water magic from Cartaphilus.
"Go... DEATH BUBBLE!" Corrupted Althea said as she used her magic to make the water form a big bubble around the man's head.
The man tried to lift the bubble off of him but his hands went right through the water, he was doomed to drown in this water bubble. There was no way he could get rid of the bubble since you can't physically grab water. Althea waited for a few minutes, watching the man drown in the bubble before she used her power to cause the bubble to burst, causing the man's head to explode along with the bubble. Althea was happy to see this as she thought it looked so amazing! Althea turned her head to see another villager was charging at her with a broom. Althea smirked as she then used her magic to form a large bubble of water in her hands.
"AQUA BEAM!" Corrupted Althea yelled as she blasted a stream of fast moving water at the villager's face.
The water was moving so fast and strong that it actually tore the flesh off of the villager's face. Althea was very pleased with herself. Althea then saw another villager charging at her. Althea used her magic to form a large bubble of boiling water in her hands.
"BOILING STREAM!" Corrupted Althea yelled as she blasted a stream of boiling hot water at the villager's face.
The water was so hot that it actually burned the face of the villager off completely. When the villager fell to the floor, the remains of his face were steaming from the boiling water. With that villager taken down, Althea decided to destroy some of the houses around her using her Aqua Beam. As Althea blasted her Aqua Beam, she started to spin the water to make it more sharp and powerful, allowing her to destroy the surrounding houses more easily. Althea was having such a wonderful time blasting the village houses with her water magic as well as 'splashing' the villagers. Althea saw a couple of children running away and she used her magic to form a large wave of water and used it to splash down onto the children, taking them down. Althea then used her magic to create another wave of water and used it to crash against a house, destroying the house and flooding it fully. Once Althea had destroyed the house, she found herself surrounded by a group of 4 villagers. Althea just giggled at this as she prepared to use her magic.
"More and more Death Bubbles!" Corrupted Althea yelled as she formed 4 more of her Death Bubbles and threw them at the villagers.
Each of the Death Bubbles hit the villagers and locked themselves onto their heads. The villagers tried desperately to free themselves from the Death Bubbles but it was no use. As they frantically tried to remove the Death Bubbles, Althea clapped her hands together once, causing all of the bubbles to burst, blowing up the heads of the villagers as well, killing them instantly. Althea clapped happily as she watched the villagers' headless bodies fall to the floor, with lots of blood gushing out of their necks. As Althea was celebrating, she was suddenly caught off guard when a knife was thrown right into the back of her leg. Althea fell to her side as she screamed in pain as she felt the knife get plunged into her leg. Althea looked over and saw a man walking towards her, holding a much larger hunting knife in his hand, probably ready to stab her.
"Ow! That really hurt, mister!" Corrupted Althea whined as she started to cry from the pain in her left leg.
"Oh, you thought THAT hurt, little girl!? This is gonna hurt a hell of a lot more!" The man said as he started to run up to Althea.
"You're a big meanie! HYAH!" Corrupted Althea yelled as she used her third and final magic power given to her by Cartaphilus.
Althea suddenly raised her right hand in the air and when she did, the man suddenly stopped running. Then, Althea's third and final magic power was revealed. It was her most dangerous and the most sadistic power Cartaphilus had given. Mere seconds after Althea raised her right hand in the air, the man stopped in place and then let out a horrifying scream as blood started shooting out from his mouth and his eyes. For the next 30 seconds, blood was shooting out of the man's eyes, flowing out of him like an upside down flowing river of blood. The man was gargling and gagging as blood kept shooting out of his eyes and mouth until Althea then used her left hand to form the flowing blood into a large blood spear. With one more yell, Althea magically shot the blood spear right into the man's mouth, impaling him completely until the spear cane out from between his legs, spearing him to the ground. Althea decided to just leave the man to bleed out instead of just killing him quickly, a punishment for him stabbing her in the leg. Along with amazing agility, water magic, Althea had also been given blood magic.
Althea winced in pain as she gently pulled the knife out of her leg, crying out in pain as the blade was yanked out of her. The moment that the knife was pulled out of Althea's leg, blood started spilling out from the wound. Althea knew she didn't have anytime to waste so she used her magic to seal up her wounded leg, replacing the blood she had lost. Once Althea's wound was all sealed up, she got back up to her feet and started to skip along, looking for more victims. Althea rounded a corner and saw a villager aiming at Ruth with a shotgun. Althea reacted quickly as she pointed her hands at the man. Then large red string-like things came out from the tips of her fingers and flew towards the man. The strings then reached the man and they dove right into the man's back. The man screamed as he felt the strings go into his body, causing him to drop his gun. The strings then made their way to the man's heart and then they attached themselves to the heart. Then Althea used her magic to cause a ton of more blood to flow into the man's heart, overloading the heart with huge amounts of blood. After a few seconds, the man's heart was so overloaded with blood that it exploded, bursting a huge whole in his chest where his heart used to be.
Althea then looked over her shoulder and spotted a villager running for her life away from Althea. Althea giggled as she used her magic to raise up some of the blood from the blown up heart guy and formed it into a bunch of daggers. Althea then flung all of the blood daggers into the back of the woman, causing her to fall forward dead. Althea then raised up some more blood and formed the blood into a large blood ball. Althea then sent the blood ball flying in the direction of another villager, more specifically his head. The moment the blood ball hit the man's head, the ball got absorbed right into his head, causing so much blood to flow into the man's head. Then, due to the sheer amount of blood added into the man's head, the man's head exploded, killing him instantly. Althea then saw another villager backed up against a wall, terrified of Althea's blood magic. Althea smiled as she then used her most deadly and most terrifying attack.
"BLOODY PUPPET!" Corrupted Althea yelled as she pointed her hands at the villager.
Suddenly, the man felt a strange sensation as he felt his whole body go completely limp, as if he couldn't support his own weight anymore. As the man's body went limp, blood started to pour out of his eyes, mouth, and ears. Althea then started to wiggle her fingers and as she did so, the man started to move again, only this time, not under his own control. As Althea wiggled her fingers more, the man's arms started to wave around wildly and frantically, almost as if his arms were like noodles. The man stumbled and wobbled as he was forced to do some sort of strange dance by Althea. The man could literally feel his blood flowing uncontrollably throughout his whole body. The man couldn't utter a single word as he kept on dancing, with blood spewing out of him. Althea was bending the blood inside the man's body and using it to control his movements, like a marionette from hell.
"Yay! Dance for me!" Corrupted Althea cheered as she kept on forcing the man to dance.
Althea cheered as she then made the man do a nasty ballerina twirl. As the man spun around, blood started to also spill out from the tips of the man's fingers. Althea then had the man do some hops on one foot, causing him to let out some sort of odd groan, gurgled by blood. After having the man dance a bit longer, Althea decided to wrap up her little show with a bloody finish. Althea used her magic to have the man do one final twirl before she then used her magic to overflow the man's body with so much blood that he ended up exploding in a bloody mess, with blood splattering everywhere. Althea whined at the fact that she was now covered in the man's blood. Althea ignored this for a moment as she clapped at the marvelous finish to her puppet dance.
"I love to play! Who else wants to play with me!?" Corrupted Althea shouted as she skipped happily along, looking for more victims.
Meanwhile, a villager was running for his life until he tripped over a rock and fell to the floor. The man couldn't do anything as he turned around to look back up at who was chasing him.
"N-No! No please! Please don't! Plea-GAAAHHHH!" the villager yelled as he was hit with a powerful blast of lighting, electrocuting him to death.
"Hmph, didn't even try to flee, pathetic." Corrupted Lindel said as he looked down at the villager's body.
Lindel was hard at work, busy taking care of all the villagers that he could find. After Lindel had taken out the villager, he was almost taken by surprise by a villager from behind who tried to stab him in the back. Lindel had sensed the man's presence as he sidestepped out of the way and then elbowed the villager hard in the face. With the villager stunned from the hit, Lindel grabbed the man on the sides of his head and then sending huge amounts of lighting into the man's head. The man fell to his knees, with Lindel still holding the sides of his head, electrocuting him severely. After a few moments, the man's head suddenly exploded due to the sheer amount of lighting. Lindel grinned as he wiped the blood out of his eyes. Once Lindel had cleaned his face, he heard the sound of villagers rushing towards him. Lindel turned his body to face the direction of the villagers, smiling as he prepared to unleash his next attack.
"Fae of Eternal Fire, UNLEASH!" Corrupted Lindel yelled as he extended his right hand out and then from his palm, a huge fiery dragon flew out and flew right through the villagers, burning to horribly charred corpses.
Lindel was very pleased with himself as he watched the villagers fall to the floor, dead and burned to a crisp. Lindel then looked up and spotted the church that was in the process of being fixed up. Lindel chuckled as he knew what he wanted to do next. Lindel started to make his way to the church as he prepared to destroy it for good. As Lindel was making his way to the church, he was suddenly jumped by a group of 4 villagers that came out of hiding, surrounding Lindel, armed with large weapons. Lindel just chuckled as he raised his hand in the air and then slammed his hand down on the ground. Suddenly, waves of lighting flowed through the ground, shocking the surrounding villagers and electrocuting them to death. With those villagers out of the way, Lindel kept on going. From behind him, Lindel heard the sound of a villager running towards him. Lindel smiled and waited until the last second. Right as the villager was about to grab Lindel, he turned around quickly and then attacked.
"DRAGON'S FIRE!" Corrupted Lindel yelled as he blasted a huge wave of blue fire at the villager from the palm of his hand.
The villager screamed as he was burned horribly by the blue fire. As the man burned, he spotted a well and ran for his life to it to put out the flames. Lindel just shook his head as he watched the villager attempt to save himself from the fire. The villager reached the well and lifted a bucket of water in the air and then dumped it on himself, but the water didn't do a thing! The Dragon's Fire was a super powerful flame that was so strong, not even water could put it out. The man screamed as he finally burned to death, with Lindel just watching with a smile on his face. With that villager taken care of, Lindel continued his walk towards the church. Lindel spotted a villager loading up ammo into his shotgun to shoot one of the corrupted, Lindel knew he had to stop this so he extended his hand out in the direction of the villager.
"BONE CRUSH!" Corrupted Lindel yelled as he closed his fist suddenly, activating his deadly attack.
As soon as Lindel closed his fist, the man's ribs suddenly closed in and crushed his heart and his lungs, killing him almost instantly. The man coughed up a lot of blood as he fell on his face, dead as a doornail. With that taken care of, Lindel kept on walking to the church. As Lindel kept walking forward, a villager ran up from behind Lindel with a machete. Lindel didn't seem to pay any notice as he just kept on walking, with the villager reaching Lindel.
"No you don't!" The villager yelled as he swung the machete at Lindel's neck. "What the!?" The villager yelled as his machete went right through Lindel's neck, almost as if he had just cut through a stream of water, with nothing getting cut.
"(Evil Chuckle) You poor fool, LIGHTING FIST!" Corrupted Lindel yelled as he jammed his Lightning Fist through the man's heart chest, punching his heart out.
The man coughed up lots of blood before Lindel pulled his arm out, allowing the man to fall forward to the floor, dead. Lindel chuckled as he kicked the man's body to the side, clearing a path for him, but not for long as two more villagers came out of hiding and were ready to face Lindel in battle. Lindel chuckled as he saw their weapons of choice; two large meat cleavers, as if that would ever stop him. Lindel just stared blankly at the villagers and crossed his arms, showing no signs of fear or even any interest as he rolled his eyes at this pathetic attack plan. The villagers ran at Lindel with their cleavers ready, but Lindel just scoffed once again as he used his magic to unleash a deadly attack. Lindel then extended out his arms and opened his hands up, still having them facing the villagers. Lindel smiled and then out of the palms of his hands, two miniature tornados shot out and seemingly grabbed ahold of the two villagers. As the villagers found themselves trapped in this windy vortex of the tornados, Lindel raised up his hands, raising the villagers up as well. Lindel then closed his hands completely and with that, the villagers were suddenly shredded into many bloody bits by the tornados. With those two taken out, Lindel cancelled his spell, getting rid of the tornados as well. Right as Lindel was done with that, he looked behind him and saw two more villagers running at him. Lindel laughed as he unleashed another deadly wind attack.
"AIR SLASH!" Corrupted Lindel yelled as he used his magic to send a strong and sharp slice of wind towards the villagers, decapitating them.
A few minutes later, Lindel was finally able to make it to the front of the church. Lindel smiled wickedly as he looked up at the church that was still in the process of being rebuilt. Lindel then looked back at the chaos and destruction that was still taking place on this village. Being the leader of the corrupted, Lindel had to admit he was proud of the destruction that he and his fellow corrupted were causing. Lindel was having such a wonderful time, but of course, as the saying goes; all good things must eventually come to an end. Lindel then turned his whole body to face away from the church as he then started to fly up into the air. Once Lindel was far enough above the church, he called out to his fellow corrupted.
"Corrupted! It is time! We've had our fun, but now it is time to finish this! Get yourselves on the outside of the barrier! I will finish this place off! GO!" Corrupted Lindel yelled to his partners.
With that, Ruth surrounded himself in a fiery vortex, teleporting himself outside of Lindel's barrier. Angelica surrounded herself with crystals and stones, teleporting herself outside the barrier. Simon surrounded himself in ice, teleporting himself outside the barrier. And finally Althea surrounded herself in a vortex of water, teleporting herself on the outside of the barrier. With all of his corrupted safety outside the barrier, Lindel spoke to the remaining villagers that were still alive or just barely alive.
"Listen here all of you pathetic humans! Your time has passed! Pray in your final moments of life! Try to save yourself! Now feel my full power! DRAGON ART, ELEMENT OF LIGHTNING, I SUMMON THEE!" Corrupted Lindel yelled as he crossed his arms across his chest.
Lindel then started to let out a low groaning sound, almost as if he was charging up some sort of attack. As Lindel was charging up, lightning and volts of electricity started to spark all over his body, almost as if his body was overloading itself with lightning magic. After a few moments of charging up, Lindel snapped his eyes open and then let out a mighty yell as huge streams of lightning shot out from Lindel's body and into the surrounding air. Lindel then threw his right hand up in the air towards the clouds above, sending huge bolts of lighting into the sky. Suddenly, the clouds opened up, revealing a huge void of darkness surrounded by lighting. Then, from the void in the sky, a huge dragon made of lightning came out and roared down at the village. As the dragon flew above Lindel, he looked down at the village and made his move.
"LIGHTNING STRIKE!" Corrupted Lindel yelled as he threw down his right arm in the direction of the village below.
The lightning dragon roared loudly as it flew in a circle so fast that it looked like a large ring of lightning. Then in a flash, the dragon flew straight down like a lightning bolt towards the church. In a matter of seconds, the church was completely destroyed by the dragon's impact. With the church finally destroyed, Lindel used his magic to close the giant void in the sky and then switched to his next plan, taking out the remaining villagers. Lindel raised his hands up in the air, causing a lot of lighting to appear in the clouds. Then, Lindel smiled as he unleashed his attack.
"RAIN OF THUNDER!" Corrupted Lindel yelled as he threw his hands in the direction of the village, raining down huge spear-like bolts of lighting down on the village.
The villagers screamed and ran for their lives as the thunder rained down upon them. People were getting killed in a matter of seconds as they were speared and impaled by the spear bolts of lightning that came down from the clouds. There was no avoiding these bolts of lighting as they seemed to have some sort of ability to follow their target. This was proven when a villager ran into a house for shelter, only for a bolt of lightning to crash through the window and kill him from behind a chair. The bolts of lighting could even chase after their targets as quite a couple villagers found out after they tried to run away from the attack. Not too long after, all of the remaining villagers were killed off, seemingly leaving no one left alive. Lindel smiled at his job well done as he flew back down to the ground, landing softly and then getting rid of the magical barrier he had placed at the start. With the barrier removed, Lindel began making his way back to where the other corrupted were waiting for him. As Lindel was waking through the destruction, he couldn't help but be so grateful to Cartaphilus for these amazing powers that he had been given. Before all this happened, Lindel had been very skilled in most of the other elements of magic, lightning was one of the few elements that he just could never master, no matter how much he tried to learn from Rahab's teachings. After a few minutes, Lindel had finally made it back to the rest of his partners.
"Took you long enough." Corrupted Simon said with a slight chuckle.
"That was super cool! You're amazing, Lindel!" Corrupted Althea cheered as she clapped her hands.
"(Chuckle) Why thank you, Althea." Corrupted Lindel said as he gave her a smile.
"You know as fascinating as that was, was it really all that necessary, Lindel?" Corrupted Angelica asked.
"Well, not exactly, but it's nice to make things more exciting." Corrupted Lindel said.
"You sure everyone's dead?" Corrupted Ruth asked.
"Of course, I made sure of it. Why do you doubt me, Ruth?" Corrupted Lindel asked.
"I'm just not that interested in getting yelled at by the Spell-Breaker. The rest of us don't need to be punished just because of your stupidity." Corrupted Ruth said, very clearly trying to insult Lindel.
"Ruth, you should at least try to be more respectful to me." Corrupted Lindel said, smiling on the outside, yet on the inside he was very much frowning.
"Oh really? And why is that?" Corrupted Ruth asked sarcastically.
"Quite simple, I am your leader after all." Corrupted Lindel reminded him.
"Don't think that you can just order me around whenever you feel like it, Lindel. I don't care what the Spell-Breaker said, I'm not gonna keep taking orders from you." Corrupted Ruth said as he glared at Lindel.
"(Chuckle) Very well, why don't you all go ahead and head back to base, I have something to do here." Corrupted Lindel said as he used his magic to drop a portal in front of them.
Lindel then motioned for the corrupted to go through the portal. One by one, each of the corrupted went through the portal. Once all of them went through the portal, Lindel shut the portal and then turned back to face the village again. Lindel had a funny feeling that Elias would make his way to this village to possible pick up some herbs or something. So, Lindel decided that he would leave a little message for Elias to see when he would arrive. Lindel then used his magic to summon a floating lantern in front of him. Once the lantern was summoned, Lindel muttered a chant while casting a spell on the lantern. After a few moments, Lindel stepped away from the lantern and then decided it was time to head back to base. Right as Lindel was about to head through the portal, he had a thought. Lindel was rather annoyed with Ruth's disrespect so he decided it was time to do something about it. Lindel smiled as he knew very well that the Spell-Breaker hated when his orders weren't followed. Lindel then gathered a small pile of wood and then lit it up with fire. Once the fire had started, Lindel put some sort of spell on the fire, suddenly turning the fire a dark red color and causing a projection of the Spell-Breaker's head to appear in the flames.
"What do you want, Lindel?" The Spell-Breaker asked as he sounded very annoyed. "I'm in the middle of something right now." The Spell-Breaker said.
"Forgive me master, but you will be pleased to know that the mission was a success. The village has been destroyed and all of the villagers have been eliminated. No survivors and no prisoners, just like you said." Corrupted Lindel said as he gave a bow to the Spell-Breaker.
"Very good, Lindel. I am very pleased indeed. But you know you could have just told me this back at base instead of using this method and wasting my time." The Spell-Breaker said.
"I am aware of that, but there is something else I wish to speak with you about, master." Corrupted Lindel said.
"Well spit it out and then get your ass back to base." The Spell-Breaker said.
"Of course, master. It's about Ruth." Corrupted Lindel said.
"What about him?" The Spell-Breaker asked.
"Well, do you remember how you assigned me to be the leader of the corrupted?" Corrupted Lindel asked.
"Yeah, what about it?" The Spell-Breaker asked.
"Well, Ruth doesn't seem to... respect your orders, master." Corrupted Lindel said.
"Is that right?" The Spell-Breaker asked, very clearly paying attention now.
"I'm afraid so, master. Ruth shows no respect for your decision of me being his assigned leader. He refuses to obey my orders and he shows no respect for me as his leader." Corrupted Lindel explained.
"Hmph, I don't have time for any of that nonsense around here. Thank you for telling me, Lindel. I'll deal with Ruth later." The Spell-Breaker said.
"Of course, master." Corrupted Lindel said as he gave another bow.
"Now get back here, we don't have all day." The Spell-Breaker said.
"Before that, I do have one more thing to ask of you." Corrupted Lindel said.
"Out with it." The Spell-Breaker replied.
"I hate to question you, master, but I must ask why were we sent here? Why not just attack Chise at Ainsworth's home?" Corrupted Lindel asked.
"Quite simple, I want Chise to see that she is the reason that this village was destroyed. She is the reason that so many innocent people were killed brutally. I want to drill that message right into her stupid skull." The Spell-Breaker explained.
"I see, trying to emotionally break her? I am glad we think alike, master." Corrupted Lindel said.
"As am I, now get back to base." The Spell-Breaker ordered.
"Yes, master." Corrupted Lindel as he put out the fire.
Once the flames were out, Lindel reopened the portal and went through it, heading back to base. As Lindel went through the portal, Lindel was hoping that he would get to have more fun like this in the future.
