A/N: Hello everyone, and welcome to the newest chapter of Twin Dragon Heroes! Now, I know it's been a while since this story was first posted, but I needed to do a lot of planning in regards to Izuku and Yang's quirks since they each have a dragon quirk. But now that I have a decent idea about what I want to do for them, I think I can finally make some progress for this story.

Premature Quirk Assessments!
It has been a month since Yang was first found by Inko and her son, Izuku, and welcomed into their family with open arms. Yang really flourished under Inko's care, happy to have a mother figure in her life again. It was discovered after that first night that, while she did have the same hyperactive energy as most children her age, Yang was also always willing to help people. She and Izuku would always try to make Inko's time at home easier whenever they weren't in their Pre-K classes by doing some of the chores around the house. Mostly those that they could do easily like picking things up off the floor, or wiping down the table and counter, they even worked together to sweep up and mop the floors whenever they could. It always made Inko smile to see them trying to make things a little easier for her.
But even though she was kind and sweet, Yang also revealed that she was fiercely protective of those she cared about. She got into a big fight with Izuku's friend, Katsuki Bakugo, when he started showing signs of his quirk manifesting and started bullying Izuku while shouting curses and death threats. Yang only got a little dirty from that fight while Bakugo received multiple bruises and a black eye. And he was also grounded for a month by his mother. Inko had sat Yang down and talked to her about that fight.
She was happy that Yang was willing to go so far for Izuku, but Inko didn't want Yang to get in trouble over something like this. But then again, she did admit that if she had caught Katsuki doing what he did, she would've done worse than giving him a black eye. And knowing Katsuki's mother, Mitsuki, she would have helped the green haired woman.
One thing that was a little difficult to do was getting the proper papers done up for Yang. Since she seemed to have been brought to their universe from a universe that was completely different from their own, as verified by a police detective with a quirk that's a literal lie detector, she didn't have a legal birth certificate or any legal documentation to prove her existence. Luckily, that same detective was willing to help Inko with that. It was by no means an easy process, but eventually all of the legal documents were taken care of, and Yang was officially registered in the database. She was also put under Inko's care in a form of foster care program that allowed her to stay with her and Izuku. It wasn't adoption quite yet, but the green haired woman was hoping to one day adopt Yang if for no other reason than to give her the family that she needs, as well as provide a roof over her head and a place to call her own.
When Mitsuki had met Yang, the older blonde was absolutely ecstatic to meet the little spitfire that gave her little brat of a son a big ol' piece of humble pie.
Her words, not Inko's.
Mitsuki and Yang got along great. She saw Mitsuki as the cool aunt who loved to have fun. For Mitsuki, it was almost like having a daughter of her very own, and she loved to style Yang's hair in all sorts of ways, even though the little blonde preferred to wear her hair in pigtails when all is said and done. Although she certainly won't oppose a braid or a ponytail.
Thankfully for Inko, her best friend did her absolute best not to curse in front of Izuku or Yang like she usually did in front of Katsuki. The last thing that Inko needed was for either child to have a potty mouth. Sometimes she wondered why Mitsuki hasn't washed her son's mouth out with soap yet. Then again, that probably wouldn't work either, and would just spark another argument between the two that Mitsuki's husband, Masaru, would once again have to break up.
Inko sighed as she washed the dishes. Izuku's fourth birthday had come and gone, and they were waiting for Izuku to start showing signs of his quirk. Hopefully, this would be soon.
"Mommy! Mommy, come on!" exclaimed Izuku as he and Yang ran up to the woman.
"Yeah, it's computer time!" Yang added, tugging on Inko's shirt.
"Already?" Inko asked.
She turned off the water and dried her hands on her apron as she and the kids made their way to Izuku's room. It had a little bit more hero merchandise that the green haired lad had gotten for his birthday, especially All Might stuff, such as the action figure he held in his hand, but it otherwise looked the same as when Yang first arrived in the Midoriya household and was made part of their family.
"Faster, let's go!" exclaimed Izuku.
The boy was rocking back and forth in the chair that he and Yang were sitting in as Inko brought up the video that the two were very eager to watch, though Izuku was more eager than Yang as she hadn't really found a favorite Pro Hero just yet. Though, she can safely say that she doesn't like Endeavor. At all.
"Geez, you must've added about ten thousand views to this one yourself, Izuku. I don't know how you kids can like it; I think it's scary." Inko said.
The video in question was an older video that was about the debut of a man who would one day become the number one hero in all of Japan. Possibly even the whole world.
It was the debut of All Might!
And as the American hero rescued over a hundred civilians from a burning building that was collapsing, he proudly declared, "HAVE NO FEAR, CITIZENS! WHY? BECAUSE I AM HERE!"
Both Izuku and Yang watched with beaming smiles on their adorable little faces as their eyes sparkled like stars. All Might was just so cool and heroic, saving people just because he wanted to save people.
"He's the coolest hero ever! And when I get my quirk, I'm gonna be a super cool hero just like All Might and save people with a smile on my face!" Izuku declared, fists on his hips as he copied All Might's laugh.
"And I'll be right there with you as your hero partner!" said Yang as she stood up.
"Sorry kid. It ain't gonna happen."
Izuku went rigid as a stone upon hearing this news, eyes filling with despair as his All Might figure slipped from his fingers and fell to the floor. Yang glared at the doctor with as much anger as she could muster for making her best friend upset like that, not that he seemed to care.
"Oh dear, is something wrong? All of the other kids in his class have started showing some signs of their quirks awakening." Inko asked, placing a comforting hand on her son's shoulder.
The doctor either ignored her question or just didn't care about what she said as he sifted through some papers.
"Our records show that you are a fourth-generation quirk user. What quirks do you and the boy's father have?" asked the doctor.
"Nothing too special. I can attract small objects to me so long as they can fit into my hand, and my husband breathes fire." she said as she floated Izuku's action figure to her hand.
"Your son should have manifest one of those, or a combination of both." the doctor continued as he gestured to an X-Ray of Izuku's foot. "But after reviewing this X-Ray, I don't think so. You see, people with quirks have only one joint in their pinky toes. The boy has two. This means that he's one of the rare twenty percent of the quirkless population. Whatever dreams he had of being a hero, he should just give up now, before-"
But he couldn't finish that sentence as he suddenly felt a terrible pain coming from his crotch!
You guessed it.
Yang got so mad at this doctor and his attitude that she punched him right in his… soybeans, if you know what I mean.
For a brief moment, the doctor lost all color as he collapsed to the ground in a crumpled heap, clutching his aching balls while Yang was breathing hard, her teeth grinding as she snarled at the man. And she would have continued her assault had Inko not placed a calming hand on the child's head while telling her, "Forget about him, Yang. He's not worth it."
Needless to say, the atmosphere on the walk home was a very somber one.
The rain came down hard as night was soon upon the city. Izuku and Yang sat next to each other as they once again watched All Might's debut video. But neither child was smiling with the same awe and wonder at the hero.
Izuku pointed to All Might on the paused video and said, "See that, mom? There's always a smile on his face no matter how bad things get. Even when things seem impossible, he never gives up."
He turned to his mother, a sad smile on his young face as his eyes were flooded with unshed tears.
"Do you think… I can be a hero, too?"
Inko was torn. On the one hand, she wanted to tell her son no. That it was almost totally impossible for anyone to become a pro hero without a quirk. She didn't want to see her baby boy get killed in the line of duty because he became a hero without a quirk. But on the other hand, Izuku has wanted to be a hero for the longest time. His dreams were just crushed by a selfish doctor who probably didn't care about anyone who didn't have a quirk. Izuku's life has always been heroes. His life IS heroes, and will continue to be, Inko reasoned. She couldn't stop him from trying to become one, even if she wanted to.
So, she might as well support him.
Support both of her children.
She gathered Izuku and Yang in a hug and as she cried, she said to them, "Of course, you can be a hero, Izuku. You both can. With or without a quirk."
That was what finally broke the dam as Izuku and Yang buried their faces in Inko's shoulders and the three cried their hearts out. They cried so hard that the three of them fell asleep on the floor right in front of the computer.
Izuku opened his eyes and was very confused, and even a little scared. He remembered falling asleep in his home with his mom and Yang, but when he opened his eyes he found himself floating in what looked like outer space with all of the shiny dots he saw in the distance.
"Whoa…! What is this place?" Izuku wondered. "It looks just like outer space. Does this mean that I'm dreaming?"
"In a sense, you are dreaming, young one. But this is not quite a dream." said a deep, booming voice.
Izuku turned around to face the voice, but he came face to face with this huge dragon! It was covered from head to toe in purple scales with a crown of red horns on its head, yellow plate scales on its underbelly, and blade-like protrusions jutting out of its shoulders. Its yellow eyes with slit pupils looked down at Izuku with what the boy could only guess was interest.
"Wh-What's going on? Wh-Wh-Who are you?" Izuku stuttered in fright.
The beast chuckled at the question.
"My dear boy… History has given me many names… But you may call me… Malefor."
