"Ghaul... The Fanatic... Crota... Like living nightmares, your past confronts you, Guardians. Old scars reopen around me as well. Phantoms of my friends return with a malice they never truly had. Every one of them, the twisted will of that looming pyramid. We must not let it distract us from our goal: finding a way inside. Together, we have conquered our enemies. We will do it again."
"Riiight." Michael was uncertain about whether Eris was simply blabbering on or if he actually got mission orders.
Cayde stepped up. "Alright, Eris. Where to?"
"The pyramid's warding is only a temporary inconvenience. We must first understand how it works if we're to pass through it. For that, the Hive may provide answers. For eons, they lived next to the pyramid. And now... they've constructed that Scarlet Keep above it. Its existence was clearly no secret to them. Now that it's activated, strange congregations of Hive have begun to appear on the moon. There is undoubtedly a connection."
"{Then that's where we start.}" Rocco proclaimed.

The group blasted into the sector on their Sparrows, ready to get some information. "Eris, we found it." Michael reported. "It appears to be a ritual of some kind."
"We must learn its purpose. Do not be afraid to engage the Hive."
Cayde let out Sundance to scan the area for any potentially useful objects. The Ghost floated high into the air, releasing periodic sensor pulses. "{I'm picking up suspicious Hive signatures. Runed tablets.}"
Michael acknowledged. "We're on it."
With the team seeking out and destroying Hive, they eventually regrouped to pool together their quarry. "Better to have seven extra runed tablets and not need them than to need seven extra runed tablets and not have them." Mark-18 said.
"Inspired by a quote by Franz Kafka." Samus chuckled.
Michael got on the comms. "Eris, it's the Nightmares. The Hive are trying to draw them in for the ritual."
"How curious. For what purpose?"
Rocco joined in. "{It's unclear. But they don't seem affected by the Nightmares at all. Not like we are.}"
"Fascinating. We must learn how they've achieved that. That's our key to finding a way beyond the pyramid's war-" Eris was cut off by a splintering screech as the feed cut to static.
"Eris?" Samus called into the radio.
"{Those screams sounded familiar... Almost like... Omnigul.}" Sundance stated. "{We have to hurry.}"

The Fireteam had returned to the allegedly secured sector, finding it a bit banged up. Damaged Spectres laid upon the ground, some still struggling to remain functional.
"Whoa..." Michael was surprised at the power of this Hive Wizard that made its way through here while they were gone. "What happened here?"
Nearby, Eris shakily picked herself back up off the ground; her glowing rock in one hand, and an overheated L-STAR in the other. A new apparition could be seen floating around her. "Sai Mota screams as she did the day Omnigul tore her apart and silenced her forever. Our fates nearly intertwined today when a Nightmare of Omnigul swept through camp. My survival was a gift, granted by the essence Mark retrieved from the Crota Nightmare." She released her grip on the L-STAR, letting it drop to the ground. "Were we to truly harness the power of this essence, it may provide aid in the fight against the Nightmares and beyond, to the pyramid itself. It knows we're coming. I can sense it. And we will have the upper hand."

With news of the escalating threat having reached the rest of the IMC battalion, Spyglass had arrived at the sanctuary. "I see. We are grateful for your service, Ms. Morn. The Shadow will be contacted to cleanse the recovered essences."
"While it seems your mechanized infantry have had little effect on the Nightmare of Omnigul, this weapon..." She held up the L-STAR she dropped earlier. "...appeared to disrupt its form."
"Thank you. With this knowledge, additional reinforcements will be deployed in the form of Stalkers wielding L-STARs." Spyglass then turned to Michael, who stood at attention, awaiting further orders. "Michael, your new assignment will be to hunt down the Nightmare of Omnigul. Cayde and I will accompany you. Spectre recon teams will be on the lookout for additional high-priority Nightmares for termination. Understood?"
Michael saluted. "Sir, yes, sir!"

I got the Season Pass.
Bad news
No internet at home means I can only work on my stories when I'm at my grandmother's house.
