Hey guys, sorry for the long absence. With my job and little time off, it's hard to find a time to write. I saw the movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and it inspired me to write this chapter. We're continuing the plot with Westview. Our heroes will try to find Wanda to force her to give up her fairy dream, but everything will not go as planned.

Good reading!

Chapter 7: In Denial

Dismayed, our heroes discovered the city of Westview in a completely different time. The 1970s. The colors came back, and they had new clothes. J'onn was always wondering how to find Wanda.

"We have to talk to people," said Alex. "Only they can tell us where Wanda is."

"But if they act like robots, it's going to be hard to get them to talk." says Peter, pushing away his new long hair.

"We have no choice, Peter," replied J'onn. "That's the only way to find her. It's not like we can just do an Internet search for her in the '70s."

"The '70s," Yelena grunts sharply.

They began to walk the streets of Westview looking at the passers-by around them. J'onn walked towards a man with a big black mustache who gave him a friendly greeting.

"Good morning Detective. I am Phil Jones. Maybe we're related because we have similar names."

J'onn remained natural by gently replying:

"No, I don't think so. Good morning to you too, Phil."

The man named Phil remained smiling, as if in a beautiful dream.

"It's a wonderful time. We haven't had a beautiful sun like this since… dark times. But today, with this magnificent weather, we have much to rejoice in."

"I grant you, the weather is beautiful," said J'onn in a friendly way. "Tell me, Phil, I have a question for you."

"Go ahead, tell me," said Phil.

The Martian inspired and asked:

"Do you know where I can find Wanda Maximoff? I am… a friend of hers. I need to talk to her. Do you know where she lives?"

At the mention of Wanda, Phil's joyful smile became tense and seemed somewhat anxious.

"Wanda… Wanda… Yes, of course… uh… everyone knows Wanda after what she did…"

"After she did what?" asked J'onn, intrigued.

Phil felt uncomfortable, as if he was trying not to answer the Martian. Then he finally gets his jovial air back.

"The weather is good… And if you are a friend of Wanda's, you should know the good news that has come to us."

"What good news?" asked J'onn again.

"Wanda's pregnant! Isn't that so good?" shouted Phil all cheerful. "She's having a baby!"

"Pregnant?!" exclaimed J'onn, astonished, not expecting that.

"Yes, pregnant!" replied Phil, overexcited. "She must be at home getting ready for her baby! We're not gonna see her around. So much the better for us!"

And he walked away from J'onn laughing strangely.

For their part, Alex, Yelena and Peter had been interrogated by other citizens of Westview to find out Wanda's address. But they did not get the result they wanted.

They questioned a lady by the name of Beverly who told them with a strange smile that did not look like joy.

"Wanda is pregnant! Isn't that so good? That means we're not going to see her for a long time! She needs to get ready for her baby!"

"Wanda is pregnant?" exclaimed Peter, stunned.

"No kidding!" added Yelena, dazzled.

Initially shocked, Alex ends up speaking:

"But you wouldn't happen to know where she lives? Could you give us her address?"

Beverly seemed a little tense, as if she feared something.

"I don't want to get too close to her home… She can be… Uh… She could be…"

"She could be what?" asked Alex, suspicious.

Then Beverly resumed her jovial smile as if she had said nothing.

"But what a beautiful day! The weather is good! I'm gonna try and enjoy life as a single woman. Have a perfect day!"

And she walked away, leaving Peter, Alex and Yelena perplexed.

"It's weird, it looks like people are afraid of Wanda," remarked Peter.

"She keeps them on a leash with her mind control," Alex recalled. "They don't dare speak out of fear of upsetting her."

They returned to J'onn who seemed defeatist.

"Have you heard anything?" he asked them.

"Nope," said Yelena. "The only thing we've learned is that Wanda is pregnant. People talk about it like it's the best news."

"Yeah," replied J'onn defeatist. "Everyone I talked to said the same thing. And when I ask them for her address, they hesitate. It is as if they are trying to avoid answering."

"As if they were afraid of her," said Peter.

Yelena breathed a sigh of exasperation.

"So we're in a small town and we still don't know where Wanda is. We have no way of finding her."

Alex thinks then ends up answering with hope.

"I think I know how to find her."

"How?" asked Peter, perplexed. "This is the 1970s. It's impossible to use the Internet to find her."

"We don't need the Internet," said Alex. "If Wanda is pregnant, that means she needs to be followed by a doctor. And in Westview, looks like I'm the only doctor in town. In this sitcom world, I'm a doctor in this town."

"And how does that help us find her?" asked Yelena, puzzled.

"If I'm Wanda's doctor, that means I have to have a medical appointment book. And her address must be in there. We need to go to my medical office and find an address book."

"Great idea," approved J'onn.

And so our heroes returned to the office of Doctor Alexandra Danvers. The four of them tossed the whole office looking for paperwork that might indicate medical appointments with Wanda. They didn't find anything in the office. Alex searched a shelf and eventually found a notebook. She was shocked to find her handwriting there and then discovered addresses in Westview.

"Hey. Yeah. I found it. I've an appointment with her this afternoon at her house. The address is in the name of Wanda and Vision. (She seemed intrigued and frowned.) Wanda and Vision? Vision? Like the Avengers' Vision that was destroyed by Thanos?"

"Wanda would be with a guy named Vision?" Peter wondered confused.

"I heard a song on the radio about a couple moving to Westview," J'onn said. "And the couple would be Wanda and Vision."

"Okay," said Yelena, intrigued. "So weird. And what's the address?"

Alex read the address in the book:

"Wanda and Vision, 2800 Sherwood Drive in Westview."

"We now know where she lives," said J'onn.

Yelena then began to walk to the door of the doctor's office to get out.

"What are we waiting for? Let's go see her…"

But Peter caught her by taking her by the arm with a distraught look.

"Hey, wow, wow, are you serious? We can't go to her house like that!"

"Why not Spider-Boy?" said the Black Widow.

"Well, this is about Wanda Maximoff," said Peter, still anxious. "Wanda, the one with incredible powers, who killed Thanos, who turned an entire city into an idyllic sitcom paradise and leads people with us like sheep! That same Wanda! And you want to go to her house after what she did? What are we gonna do when we get to her house? Ask her nicely to stop all this sitcom crap and pray she doesn't try to brainwash us?"

"He's right," said Alex, joining Yelena. "We can't just show up at her house like that. Confronting her like that would be too dangerous."

"I agree," approved J'onn. "Wanda lost the love of her life because of Thanos. It's possible that her grief and suffering have affected her powers and created all of this. We don't know in what state of mind she is currently in. We don't know if she did this unconsciously or intentionally. We have no idea how she's gonna react when we show up at her house. We need to know how she's physically and mentally. If we confront her now without knowing how she's doing, it could be dangerous, not only for us, but also for the people of Westview."

Yelena sighed with a defeatist gaze and turned to others, groaning:

"Then what do we do, Martian? One of us is going to go to her house to see how she's doing without her having the slightest suspicion?"

"I will go to her house," said Alex, with confidence. (Seeing others looking at her, she replied.) "In her fantasy world, I'm her doctor. I'm in the best position of all of us to go into her house and see how she's doing. I just have to play my role as a doctor. If Wanda is convinced that Alexandra Danvers is her doctor, she won't suspect anything."

But J'onn was somewhat anxious.

"Alex, she might recognize you. And we don't know how she'll react when she sees you."

"J'onn, that's the only way. We can't just sit here and wait for a new change. We need to see Wanda, and I'm the only one who can. Maybe she forgot me from the Garden."

"Be careful," said Peter, anxiously. " Don't upset her. If she can manipulate people's brains, she could turn us into vegetables."

"It'll be okay," said Alex, always confident. "I know what I'm doing."

She then took her doctor's bag.

"It's time for me to play my role as a doctor.

Outside the doctor's office, Agnes was watching them and listening to everything they said.

After a hard day's work, Vision quietly returned home, greeting his neighbour "Herb" as he trimmed the hedge in his garden.

As he returned home, he discovered Wanda in his living room with her belly which seemed to have doubled in volume.

"Whoa, Nelly!" he exclaimed stunned. "Have you gotten bigger?"

While moving, Wanda's belly knocked over some fruit on the table, which Vision hastened to catch in super-speed.

"Have I?" the young woman looked at her belly. "I can't tell from this angle."

"I can't wait to be a proud papaya." said Vision jovial, holding a big papaya in his hand.

The doorbell rings. Wanda looked at her watch.

"It must be the doctor," she announced.

"I'm going to open up," replied Vision.

Alex waited outside the house looking natural, then the door opened to reveal a man with blond hair talking jovially to her.

"Dr. Danvers, I think…"

The man seemed strangely familiar to Alex, but she did not let anything appear and remained smiling and courteous.

"And you must be Vision? I'm here for a home consultation."

"Please come in, Doctor," Vision courteously invited her.

Alex then entered the house. A simple and ordinary house. And she saw Wanda. The Wanda she had in front of her looked nothing like the Avenger she had met. She was no longer the angry, vengeful woman. She seemed fulfilled, soothed. She wondered if she was aware of what was really going on in Westview.

But what shocked her the most was her big belly, which was consistent with the fact that she was pregnant, but yet, the last time she saw her, she wasn't. And judging by the size of her belly, she must have been in her fourth month of pregnancy. How could she be pregnant so quickly after Thanos?

Seeing Alex, Wanda seemed delighted.

"Hello Doctor!"

"Hello Wanda," greeted Alex politely by putting her doctor's bag on the couch. "How is the mother-to-be?"

Wanda sighed holding her belly.

"I feel like my stomach can explode at any time."

"But she doesn't have a bomb on her," said Vision, with humour.

Alex had a light laugh, then gently ordered Wanda to sit on the couch.

She examined her belly with a stethoscope. She remained there for a while listening to her belly. She was even more surprised when she discovered several heartbeats in addition to Wanda's.

"Well, your baby looks perfectly healthy," she said, removing the stethoscope. "I don't see anything alarming. You are indeed four months pregnant."

"Well, that much we figured." said Wanda, sighing.

"It's just kinda taken us by surprise." added Vision. "It's just kinda suddenly. Quite suddenly, wasn't it? I mean, practically overnight. (Wanda elbowed him a little bit, and he straightened himself out.) I mean... How did this happen?"

Alex remained natural in addressing them as any doctor would:

"You see, when a man and a woman love each other very much… (She pointed to Wanda's big belly.) That's what happens… I'm sure you're gonna be fantastic parents. The ones everyone wish about."

"Thank you very much, Doctor," said Wanda, rising from her couch. "Well, we're just tickled pink, or blue."

"Just avoid stress, it's very bad for the baby, and rest well, Wanda," Alex said in a condescending tone.

"Well, I have nerves of steel, no stress," said Vision.

"I've no doubt," replied Alex, trying not to laugh. "Could I use your bathroom, please?"

"Of course," said Wanda. "The door down the hall."

Alex then took the opportunity to inspect the house, wanting to see a detail that could help her see more clearly in the Westview anomaly. All she saw was furniture full of photos of Wanda and the man who called Vision together as a couple. She saw the open door of a room where a cradle was being built.

Later, Wanda had Alex taken outside.

"Thank you for coming, Doctor," said the young woman.

"You're welcome, Wanda," said Alex, smiling. "I'm just doing my job."

It was then that Wanda slightly frowned and looked at Alex attentively.

"Hey one thing, Doctor."

"Yes," said the doctor, turning around with a smile on her face.

"Haven't we met somewhere?"

Alex realized that Wanda may not have forgotten her as much as she would have thought. Not knowing her reaction by finding out who she really was, she remained calm and natural.

"People keep telling me that I look like someone," she replied, smiling. "Some say I could be a singer, a dancer, a computer scientist, even a movie actress, can you believe that? I'm Alexandra Danvers and I'm a doctor in Westview. Who do you want me to be? A lot of people have ideas these days! I think they're losing it!"

"That's probably it," said Wanda, smiling again. "Have a good day, Doctor."

Once outside, Alex took advantage of Wanda's absence to question Vision.

"Things are going well with your wife, Vision?" asked Alex. "Have you noticed anything odd? Something out of the ordinary?"

"Not to my knowledge," replied Vision, shaking his head.

"And if I tell you, the Avengers, Ultron, Thanos…"

Vision frowned.

"What are the Avengers?" What is a Thanos?"

She had hoped that these names might mean something to Vision, but seeing his look of confusion, Alex understood that she did not have the real Vision in front of her. Who was this man really?

"Never mind, I must lose my head," she smiled. "It's about time I went on vacation. Have a good day, Vision. And take good care of your wife."

"Goodbye, Doctor," Vision said on his way home.

Once the man was back home, Alex surreptitiously walked towards the house. She hid behind a window and raised her head slightly to observe the interior of the house. She could see Wanda resting on her couch, and then she saw the blond man metamorphosing into… Vision. The same Avengers' Vision that was destroyed by Thanos. Alex was shocked by that. Vision was alive, when he was supposed to be dead. Not blipped. Dead. By creating the Westview anomaly, did Wanda revive Vision?

"Snooper's gonna snoop." said a voice behind Alex.

She turned to see Agnes in front of the house, dressed in a beautiful black blouse, smiling mischievously at her.

"Would you be a spy, Doctor Danvers?" she exclaimed with a grin on her lips.

Unwilling to be spotted by Wanda, Alex naturally smiled across the courtyard in front of the house.

"I wasn't spying on anyone! I thought I heard Wanda screaming. I wanted to make sure everything was okay for her and the baby."

"You're a funny woman, Doctor," replied Agnes, with a look that seemed to say that she hadn't believed a word of what Alex had just said. "If you're really a doctor, you could come by my house. My husband Ralph is dizzy. He's not leaving the house."

"Agnes, is that your name?" said Alex, remembering meeting the brunette at the theatre. "Look, Agnes, I'll come by your house later to examine your husband. I have a few more patients to see, but I promise I'll come by and see your husband."

"See you soon, Doctor," said Agnes, moving away from her.

Alex could not help but notice the strange behavior of Agnes. She didn't seem like a programmed automaton like the people of Westview. She seemed more or less sane. But that woman was hiding something. Nevertheless, it was going to have to wait. Alex had to inform the others of what she had just discovered.

She saw the neighbor «Herb», next to the house of Wanda and Vision, supposed to cut the hedge. But instead, he cut the wall that separated his house from that of the couple.

"Hey, you know that it's the hedge that needs to be trimmed, not the wall," Alex smiled.

Herb was busy trimming that he didn't notice Alex. He looked up at her, smiling strangely, and said to her in a natural tone:

"So, I have. Thanks, Doctor!"

And he looked at it while still cutting the wall, as if it were normal. Realizing that this man was not himself, Alex hurried away from the quiet neighborhood of Wanda.

Alex had returned to the doctor's office. She had announced her visit to Wanda and Vision, Peter, J'onn and Yelena. She told them about Wanda, who was four months pregnant, and Vision, which was the Avengers' Vision.

"Vision's back?" cried Peter, shocked. "How is that possible?"

"And the last time we saw Wanda, she wasn't pregnant," remarked Yelena, astonished. "We would have noticed if she had a big belly."

"She wasn't when we were fighting Thanos," Alex replied categorically. "I' m sure about that."

"She's faking," said the Black Widow.

"No, I examined her belly well when I was at her home," replied Alex. "I listened to several heartbeats. She wasn't faking. She's really pregnant. Between the Westview anomaly, the reappearance of Vision with the Mind Stone, and this pregnancy coming out of nowhere… There is no doubt that Wanda has the ability to transform reality as she sees fit."

J'onn thought and then spoke:

"When you saw her, you said she seemed soothed, fulfilled…"

"Yes, looks like she was having a dream while awake," said Alex. "I think you were right, J'onn. Wanda has no idea what she did to this town. I'm sure she did it subconsciously."

"So what do we do?" asked Peter. "We go to her house, and we explain to her that she changed reality just like that?"

"We need someone who is close enough to her to reason with her," said J'onn.

"I know who we need," said Alex.

At her home, Wanda was busy preparing the room for the baby. She was in shock when she felt kicking in her stomach. Vision then took his pregnancy handbook and appeared stunned reading the pages:

"Well, if that was the first kick, that puts you at about six months! Boy, oh, boy, I thought I had super speed. I can't keep up. Please don't misinterpret. (Then he spoke to Wanda's belly, like a dad to a baby.) I can't wait to meet you, little Billy..."

"Billy?" wondered Wanda. "Well, I was thinking Tommy. Just a nice, classic, all-American name."

"Hmm, Tommy, yeah," approved Vision in spite of himself. "Then there's Billy, isn't there? Named after William Shakespeare. 'All the world's a stage. All the men and women, merely players.'"

"Well, I guess there's only one solution to this debate." Wanda replied. "Hope for a girl."

The doorbell rang again. The two lovers looked at each other frowning.

"Are you waiting for someone?" asked Vision.

"No. What about you?" added Wanda, perplexed.

"No," replied the Avengers' android.

Vision opened the front door to discover his colleague and friend Norm.

"Hey Norm! What's up?"

Norm seemed pretty anxious.

"Hey Vision. You have to come with me to the office. Mr. Hart is furious! I have a lot of late files, and I really need your help. It's just for a while. Then I'll leave you alone."

Vision hesitated, not wanting to leave his pregnant wife alone. But Wanda beckoned him nicely.

"Go on! This looks important! Considering the dinner with your boss the other night, it would be a shame if you were fired," she says jovially.

"Thank you, my love," said Vision with tenderness.

Later he left with Norm. The two men were walking down the street when they finally reached Dr. Danvers' office.

"Do you mind if we go to the doctor?" asked Norm with a headache. "I have a big headache. I could use an aspirin or something strong."

"It's all right," Vision assured him by entering the doctor's office. "Dr. Danvers?"

Upon entering, he discovered Alex, but also Peter and Yelena. All three stared at Vision with a neutral look.

"What's going on?" asked Vision, puzzled. "Norm?"

"I'm not Norm," said a hoarse voice behind him.

The android turned to see Norm metamorphose into J'onn J'onzz, to his amazement.

"What is the meaning of this?" he said, looking at the four visitors. "What the hell is going on?"

"Vision, we have to talk to you," said J'onn, with determination.

Alex went on to say:

"We know who you and Wanda are. We know about Wanda's powers and we know that you're a synthezoid made from vibranium. And we need to talk."

Initially taken aback, Vision took on his ordinary form. All could see Vision as it was with the Mind Stone at the forehead.

"Wow! So he came back!" exclaimed Peter.

"Back from where?" said intrigued Vision.

"Wow!" cried Yelena, who had never seen Vision.

"We know a lot more about you than you think," said Alex, ignoring Peter's state of shock and that of Yelena.

"We need your help, Vision," said J'onn. "It's about Wanda and what she did."

"What did Wanda do?" asked the perplexed android.

"Now listen to us very carefully." said Alex.

Sitting quietly on her couch, Wanda waited for Vision to return, while trying to take breaths in case of contractions. She was going to be a mom. It was way too good to be true.

Then the doorbell rings again. Wanda wanted to get up, but was still tired. She didn't have enough strength to reach the front door.

Sighing, she ends up letting herself go on her couch.

"It's open," she said aloud.

The front door opened. Wanda looked up, expecting to see Vision, but to her surprise, it was her neighbor Agnes who returned to her house.

"Hello Wanda," she said.

"Hello Agnes," said Wanda, a little disappointed. "This is not a good time, I'm a little exhausted."

"Oh, sweetie," said her sweet neighbor. "I'm sorry to bother you, but I have some very bad news for you."

"Which one? Is your husband Ralph in trouble?"

"No, it's not Ralph, it's Vision," said Agnes, pretending to be worried.

"Vision?" Wanda wondered. "What do you mean?"

"People have come to town and they are plotting against you and Vision."

Wanda's eyes became stunned by this sentence and she rose from her couch, despite her big belly.

"Who… Who are these people? What do they want from us?" she vociferates with rage.

Agnes seemed embarrassed and replied:

"They just arrived in town. I know they're plotting against you because there's a woman with them who claims to be a doctor. Doctor Alexandra Danvers. But that's not her name. I think her name is Alex Danvers."

"Alex Danvers!" exclaimed Wanda with rage knowing the name very well. "I knew I'd seen her before!"

"I saw this woman spying on you at your window before leaving your home."

"Did she spy on Vision and me?" cried Wanda, in an intense rage.

Agnes nodded gently before resuming:

"None of these people live in Westview. They came for you and Vision. And probably not in good."

Wanda seemed mad at the idea that intruders had come to town to hurt her and Vision.

Despite her pregnancy, she found the strength to get up from her couch. Agnes came to help her.

"Take it easy, honey. You're pregnant."

"I'm fine," said Wanda, still furious. "Do you know where these people are right now?"

"In Doctor Danvers's office," replied the young brunette.

"Take me there right now!"

At the doctor's office, the four visitors had just told Vision everything. His origins with Ultron. And they told him of the coming of Thanos for the Infinity Stones. And the terrible battle that had ensued.

"So Wanda killed me?" he exclaimed in shock.

"Because you asked her to do it," Alex replied gently. "Thanos threatened to destroy half the universe and you begged her to kill you. And she did... reluctantly, of course."

"And... did it work?"

Alex seemed uncomfortable, while J'onn replied in turn:

"Not as we would have liked. Thanos went back in time to bring you back to life."

"To kill you a second time by snatching the Stone," said Peter, uncomfortable.

"And it happened before Wanda's eyes," replied Alex. "She...suffered a lot from your passing and the fact that her killing you didn't do much good."

Vision seemed astonished at these revelations, and then went on to say:

"But if I'm supposed to be dead, then why am I here?"

J'onn then told him about the Westview anomaly. The electromagnetic field around the city. Wanda's mental control over the people. The universe of sitcom.

"We think she brought you back by changing the reality," he explained.

"When I came to see you earlier, I noticed that Wanda isn't aware of her actions," added Alex. "And that's why we think she provoked all this subconsciously. That her powers have affected her grief and suffering.

"My God!" cried Vision, stunned.

Suddenly, the door of the doctor's office opened on the fly. And Wanda Maximoff entered into a great state of fury.

"Stay away from them, Vision!" she cried angrily.

"Wanda…" exclaimed Vision shocked, but she ignored him.

She took a few steps towards the four visitors, always staring at them with a black rage.

"So it's true! What are you doing here? Why did you come here?"

"Wanda, don't get angry!" said Alex, very anxious. "This is very bad for the baby!"

"You are not a doctor! Don't come near me!" cried Wanda, flying around a shelf that the young woman barely missed.

With each step she took, the walls changed decoration, changing from color to black and white, like the screen of a television that would lose its image, which alarmed the visitors.

"Wow!" Peter was shocked and alarmed. "This is going to end badly!"

"She's even more creepy than when she killed Thanos," said Yelena in a low voice in total panic.

J'onn intervened in front of Alex, and spoke to Wanda calmly, even though he was as anxious as the others.

"Wanda, take it easy! Stay calm! There's no reason for this to end badly!"

"You are intruders in our life and in our city! You don't belong here! You came here to plot against us!"

"No, none of us plot against you!" J'onn replied calmly. "We didn't come here to hurt you! We just want to talk to you, Wanda! Nothing more and nothing less! We mean you no harm!"

Vision intervened in turn:

"Wanda, please listen to him."

"Vis, I have everything under control." said Wanda with furious eyes, ignoring the android.

"Like you control the people in Westview?" added Yelena, anxious.

"You don't know what you're talking about!" replied Wanda, angrily.

"Yes, I know very well," replied J'onn. "Wanda, I am aware of what Thanos has done to you…"

At the mention of this name, Wanda uttered a howl of rage, which made Alex's office fly against the wall demolishing it, and shaking the ground of the medical office like an earthquake. The window began to crack.

"DON'T SAY THAT NAME!" she cried louder and louder.

Frightened, Alex, Yelena and Peter retreated against the wall, knowing that they had nothing to neutralize the angry young woman, while J'onn startled with fright and went on:

"Right, I'm sorry… But please listen to what we have to say… We need to talk to you… Wanda, please…"

Vision wanted to take his wife in his arms to calm her, but Wanda got away from him, completely ignoring him. She addressed the four visitors with the same look of rage she had cast before she killed Thanos:

"I don't have to answer for you! You broke into our town! Then… you will stay there!"

In her words, her eyes became red and she brought out a whole reddish aura that crossed the entire medical practice.

"Oh my God, she will change reality again!" cried Alex, horrified.

"Holy sh…," cried Peter, anxious.

"Wanda, please…" begged Vision, but nothing was slowing Wanda down.

The reddish aura covered the entire interior of the medical office, while J'onn tried to reach the young woman.

"WANDA! STOP! PLEASE! DON'T, WANDA! NOOOOO!"

But everything disappeared in that thick reddish mist that covered everything. Instantly, it was the entire city of Westview that was once again impacted by the reddish haze.

J'onn eventually regained consciousness. How long was he unconscious? He can't say that. When he got up, he realized that he was still wearing the same clothes as before, which meant he was still in the 70s. He was still at the doctor's office. And he saw that everything was as good as new. The desk, the shelves. Everything was normal, as if nothing had happened. But what worried him was that he was alone. He saw no trace of Alex, Peter, Yelena, Vision or Wanda. Had they gone missing? What happened to them?

"Alex? Peter? Yelena? Vision?"

Anxious, he left the medical office and staggered a large crowd on Westview streets. The population of the city seemed to have increased. Everyone was smiling strangely. J'onn walked around people, hoping to find his friends, but saw none.

He walked to the city center where there was a large gathering. Apparently, there seemed to be a party or a parade. He saw Dottie address all the people of the city.

"All right, listen up, everybody.… To celebrate the return of all our loved ones, I have the honor to introduce our two new stars: Yelena Belova and Natasha Romanoff!"

Everyone applauded the two women who stood near Dottie.

Stunned, J'onn walked among the people, saw Yelena in a lovely white dress smiling at the people, with beside her Natasha Romanoff, also dressed in a blue dress. The same Natasha from the Avengers.

What was going on? J'onn looked stunned. Did Wanda bring back half the population of Westview with the Black Widow of the Avengers? He looked at the newcomers of the city, recognizing their faces in the holographic images of Wakanda, revealing the blipped people of Thanos.

Yelena and Natasha greeted the audience with great gestures of their hands. Yelena looked at Natasha with great joy in her face.

"Yelena!" called J'onn, taken aback.

He wanted to join her, when an electric pole sparked sparks, and the pole overturned dangerously on the people who started running, panicked.

Before the Martian could intervene, a red and blue blur sprang out of nowhere into the sky and caught up with the power pole putting it right.

The people of Westview seemed relieved.

"Supergirl! She saved us!" cried the woman named Beverly, rejoicing.

"Supergirl?" wondered J'onn, stunned.

The red and blue blur lands gently on the ground, near Dottie. The Martian saw with amazement that it was indeed Supergirl. The superhero of his world. Kara's smiling face, the red cape, her S symbol on her chest, her skirt and her red boots.

Supergirl smiled at everyone, then turned to Dottie who addressed her with gratitude.

"Thank you so much, Supergirl."

"You're welcome!" replied the superhero, smiling. "I protect and serve our small town of Westview."

Yelena and Natasha joined her, both relieved.

"You saved us, Supergirl!" said Yelena, jovial.

"Thank god, you were there!" added Natasha, who was as relieved and delighted as the others.

"You're welcome," said Supergirl, before flying into the air.

Intrigued, J'onn took refuge in an alley, out of sight. He took his Martian form and flew away to discreetly follow the Kryptonian, wondering well where she could fly in the sky, being that an electromagnetic force field surrounded the whole city of Westview.

While flying over the houses of the city, he saw Supergirl flying high in the sky and then, stopping suddenly, as if an invisible obstacle stood against her. She floated up for a while, as if she didn't know where to go. Then she finally goes down into the streets of the city.

J'onn followed her in flight, still dazed and intrigued. He discovered Supergirl landing in a quiet alley. Then she went on super-speed to appear as Kara Danvers, wearing her glasses, and wearing a blue skirt.

J'onn landed quietly on the ground and resumed his human form. He followed Kara, who walked in front of a house and discovered Alex, who came out and joined Kara.

"Hey sis!" said the latter, hugging Alex. "Today, I'm not sick, Doctor."

"Hey Kara," said Alex, smiling cheerfully. "You put on a show today. You made a good impression with our two stars who just arrived in town."

"How do you know about it?" Confused Kara wondered.

"We live in a small town," replied Alex, shrugging her shoulders. "Everything is known. And I know one who's gonna be very excited."

Immediately, J'onn saw Peter from afar come out of the house and run towards the two women, all ecstatic.

"Mom! Kara!"

"Hey! How is my favorite super-nephew?" exclaimed jovial Kara, holding the young man against her.

"You're the one who's great," Peter said, completely excited.

"Hey what about me?" said Alex, with a disapproving pout.

"Mom, you are a super-doctor!"

"It's better."

Kara came to put her arm on Peter's shoulder, while Alex placed her arm on the other shoulder of the young man who spoke to them with ecstasy:

"We're a super family, the three of us! I have a doctor mother that I really like!"

"Oh, kiddo," said Alex, moved. "You are so cute!"

"And I also have an aunt who can fly, walk through a burning building, run faster than a locomotive."

"Easy, Peter, I'm a journalist, remember? Knowing how to steal doesn't pay the bills."

"I am proud of the three of us," replied Peter jovial.

"Me too," replied Alex, moved. "Kara, Peter, I love you both."

And all three left together, a threesome united by love. J'onn saw them from afar with dismay. Judging by the behavior of Alex, Peter, and Yelena with Natasha, he understood that his friends were once again under Wanda's mental control.

So she brought back the other half of the population of Westview and at the same time, Natasha Romanoff and Supergirl?

Dazzled, the Martian didn't know how to fix it. It had been weeks since he saw Alex so happy.

"That's unbelievable!" murmured J'onn, astonished. "Wanda, what have you done?"

Wanda was walking in her house. She walked past her future baby's room. Moved, she remained there watching her. Then Vision joined her.

"Wanda?"

But when the young woman turned around, it was to see Vision's face all gray, with a big hole on his forehead. His face as it was when he died. Shocked, Wanda shook her head and was relieved to see Vision's normal face again.

Perplexed, the android walked towards her.

"What? What is it?"

He came to take her in his arms, speaking tenderly to her:

"We don't have to stay here. We could go wherever we want."

But Wanda smiled at him.

"No, we can't. This is our home."

"Are you sure?" asked Vision, not convinced.

"Don't worry, darling."continued Wanda with a strange smile. "I have everything under control.(Then she turned to television.) Well, what should we watch tonight?"

Thanks to engel17white for his chapter idea. Wanda changed Westview by bringing back all of the townspeople's missing loved ones, along with Natasha and Supergirl. After that, making the Hex disappear will be more complicated than expected.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
