Chapter 7: New Enemies

In the dark lair of the Scale Shedders, Grisly, the devilish leader, stands before two figures, one bigger than the other, and states, "Alright, here is your one and only objective…" he points to his big monitor which has images of Hiccup and the other three Power Rangers in their suits. "…You will take out those Power Rangers and bring me their Drago Scales."

Vidger then adds, "Now, the red and yellow ones should be easy targets, the blue one not so much, but be warry of the black one, for he is far more skilled and has more experience than those three combined. He will be your biggest obstacle, understood?"

The two figures reply in a male and female voice, "Yes, sir!" before saluting Grisly.

Grisly then states, "Dismissed."

The two figures leave while Vidger comments, "You really think those two can take down those Rangers?"

Grisly replies with, "If not, then their faces will be meeting the blade end of my saber." Vidger simply nods to that.

Back at the Dragerium, having no school for the day and having completed their Ranger training, the four Power Rangers find themselves…very bored. Snotlout was draped over a rock as he yawns stating, "IIIII ammm soooo boooorrrrrred!"

Fishlegs, who was reading a book, replies with, "Not sure what you expect us to do about it, Snotlout."

Snotlout rubs his face and states, "It's just that when I became a Ranger I expected things to be a lot more exciting, you know, yet we haven't seen a single bad guy all week! Like, someone blow something up already! Hell, I'll do it if no one else wants to!" This statement is true as there has not been any recent activity of the Scale Shedders in a week.

Astrid, who was writing something in a little notebook she likes to keep with her, replies with, "We don't just go around blowing things up, Snotlout. It's not the Power Ranger way."

Hiccup, who was idly leaning against the wall, replies with, "Couldn't have said it better myself. Unless there's actual danger, we Rangers really don't have much to do. Besides, you should be careful with what you ask for, some day you might come across an enemy that's just too powerful."

Now a bit defeated, Snotlout puts his head down until he hears a dinging sound. "Huh? Is that the emergency alarm?"

Astrid replies, "That was my phone, Snotlout." She holds up her blue cased smartphone.

This was followed by louder dinging sound. Hiccup comments, "THAT would be the emergency alarm."

Snotlout pumps his fist saying, "YES! FINALLY! Time for action!"

They all get up and head over to the special pond where Alicia was crouched down as Astrid asks, "What's going on now?"

Alicia replies as she tries to read the water, "I'm…not sure! These readings are all over the place! I'm seeing locations pop up that seem to be recently destroyed, but can't see who or what caused it!"

The other Rangers kneel down to try to figure out what was going on as Astrid points out, "Hey! That's where we had our first battle!" She points as an image of the alleyway where she, Snotlout and Fishlegs first teamed up with Hiccup to fight the Scale Shedders, though the alleyway seemed to be a total mess with trash everywhere, street lights taken out and cars flipped over.

Fishlegs points out, "And that's where we fought the Iron Knight!" as an image of the streets where the four rangers fought before, only in a similar state.

Recognizing these locations, Alicia comments, "These…are all places that you all have been…which means someone or something is hunting the four of you!

Hiccup comments, "Well, then, we better find them before they cause any more destruction. What's the most recent report?"

Alicia scans the water before pointing, "Here! At a quarry in the outskirts of the city."

Hiccup nods. "Got it! Alright, guys, we're not sure what we're up against so keep on a lookout. That being said, it's morphing time."

The other three nod as they stand up and stand side by side before saying the call, "DRAGO FURY, FIRE UP, HA!" while holding out their arms like wings, putting their right arm to their chest and smacking their Morpher with the other hand.

From each Drago Morpher, different colored scales pool out to form the four Power Ranger suits before the head of their respective dragons leap up to consume their heads and form their helmets. Once morphed, the Rangers grab onto Hiccup as they head out to the quarry.

Once arrived at the quarry where the mysterious enemies were spotted, the Rangers show up to see that there was no one there, of course that usually means that someone is hiding. The Rangers kept their Drago swords raised as they look around while Snotlout asks, "Ok…where are the enemies?"

Hiccup replies, "They're here…I can feel them."

That's when a deep male voice comes out of nowhere. "So, we finally meet!" The rangers look to see two people standing at the other end of the rocky field, one wearing a silver suit with a plated design that looked like armor and one with a violet suit with a yellow underlining and what looked like three twisting tails extending from the back.

Astrid asks, "Power Rangers? Never seen these guys before."

Fishlegs then points out, "Maybe they're friendly!"

Hiccup states, "I wouldn't bet anything on that, Fishlegs. Hey! You two! Who are you?" Hiccup asks the two figures.

The silver suited Ranger replies in a female voice, "You're going to wish you didn't know who we are very soon." She steps forward and states, "We are the Berserk Power Rangers." She then makes a T-pose followed by a slicing movement from up to down with her right arm, "Silver Razor Ranger!"

Then the one in the violet suit does a T-pose followed by holding his hands up like crab claws stating, "Violet Stryke Ranger!"

The Razor Ranger then states as the two of them drop these poses, "We are here to do one thing and one thing only, take you out and take your Drago Scales."

Snotlout then points out, "Hey! That's two things!"

The Razor Ranger scoffs to that. "Wow, I guess you're just slightly sharper than you look!"

The Stryke Ranger adds, "Too bad we're here to strike you both down!"

Back at the Dragerium, Alicia was watching and comments, "Those other Rangers look dangerous, Hiccup and the others better watch out!"

Hiccup raises his black sword even higher and says, "Be careful, guys, we don't know what these two are capable of. Let's remind them of who THEY are messing with!" The others nod as they stand side by side.

Snotlout begins by swiping his hands from side to side saying, "With the heat of the Nightmare, Drago Fury Red Ranger!"

Astrid adds by jabbing her hands out, "With the speed of the Nadder, Drago Fury Blue Ranger!"

Fishlegs adds while slamming his fists to the ground, "With the power of the Gronk, Drago Fury Yellow Ranger!"

Hiccup finishes by crouching down and holding out his arms saying, "With the stealth of the Night Fury, Drago Fury Black Ranger!" Hiccup then comments to the rest, "I see you guys have been practicing your call poses, not bad."

The Stryke Ranger then gives a sarcastic clap as he says, "Thanks for the introduction, real entertaining, now let's go!"

Snotlout states, "With pleasure. Nightmare Blaster!" He holds up his red blaster and fires it right at the two Berserk Rangers, causing a small explosion. He then comments, "Told you guys I'd blow something up if no one else would!"

However, once the smoke clears, both rangers are seen standing in the exact spot that they were when Snotlout fired the blast. "What?!" Astrid asks.

The Razor Ranger then comments, "Sorry, just wasn't hot enough for us. Now, how about this?"

"Drago Sabers!" The Berserk Rangers yell as they pull out a silver/violet hilted sword and charge towards the other Rangers.

The rangers hold up their swords in a defensive position, crating a cross pattern that blocked the other two sabers, but enough force was applied that forced the Rangers to kneel down.

They all leap back as Astrid and the Razor Ranger dash off to the side while Astrid yells, "Spine Shot!" And shoots some yellow spikes in the silver Ranger's direction.

However, the Razor Ranger responds with, "Steel spine shot!" And fires a set of spikes that collide with each of the spikes that Astrid shot and made them fall.

Astrid comments, "You can shoot spikes too?"

The Razor Ranger replies, "Not only that, but my spikes can slice through stone like a hot knife through butter!" Enraged by this, Astrid sends a circle of spikes towards the Razor Ranger, which she leaps through perfectly before asking, "Come on, is shooting spikes all you got?"

Astrid replies as she raises her blue Nadder axe, "Funny you should axe." And strikes downward, only to be blocked by a silver axe that seemed to have a double sided blade vs Astrid's single sided axe blade.

The Razor Ranger comments to Astrid's shock, "Yeah, you're gonna have to tune up that mind if you want to beat me!" Snotlout then sneaks up behind her and raises his red hilted sword, but this is deflected as the Razor Ranger extends her axe to form a second end to it. "Guess two blades really are better than one!" She leaps backwards and once she lands she twirls her double-edged axe in her fingers in front of Astrid and Snotlout.

Meanwhile, Hiccup and Fishlegs were busy taking on the Stryke Ranger. Fishlegs raises his yellow Gronk Bludgeon and slams it to the ground, which didn't even phase the very large Ranger. The Stryke Ranger comments, "Gonna have to do better if you want to put me into the ground!"

Hiccup then leaps up behind the Stryke Ranger with his black hilted flaming sword raised, which the Stryke Ranger rolls back and dodges the attack perfectly.

Hiccup then glances back to Fishlegs and says, "Go help the other two, I've got this guy!" He left out names to keep his and the other Ranger's identity secret.

Fishlegs asks, "Are you sure?"

Hiccup nods. "I'll be fine, trust me!" Nodding to this, Fishlegs heads off to help Astrid and Snotlout fight the Razor Ranger while Hiccup raises his sword to the Stryke Ranger.

The Stryke Ranger raises a violet blaster that had three bumpy lines that looked like scorpion tails that ended at the barrel end of the blaster and says, "Tri-Stryke Blaster, fire!" He spins the tip of the barrel end, which had four triangles, one red, one blue, one yellow and one purple to the red triangle and pulls the trigger, sending some flames towards Hiccup.

Hiccup raises his flaming sword and deflects the flames. Hiccup comments, "I've heard of fighting fire with fire, but this is ridiculous!" He manages to push the flames sent to him away.

The Stryke Ranger then states, "Sounds to me like you just need to chill. Tri-Stryke Blaster, ice!" He flips the barrel end to the blue triangle and fires a beam that seemed to freeze whatever the end of the beam touched.

Hiccup leaps out of the beam's way, but the beam trails away and catches Snotlout, freezing him where he stood.

Seeing this, Hiccup calls, "Hey! I know he's a hothead, but there's no need for that!"

Fishlegs then says, "I got this! Hammer Arms!" before he inflates his right hand and punches the ice, shattering it to bits.

Once out of the ice, Snotlout says while shivering, "Th-th-th-thanks, F-F-Fishf-f-face!"

The Stryke Ranger then says, "Went down like a bug to a car, though I'm not shocked! Tri-Stryke Blaster, lightning!" He flips the end of the violet blaster's barrel to the yellow triangle and fires bolts of lightning that Hiccup dodges with his feet but also deflects with his saber.

Hiccup comments, "You sure love using that blaster, don't you? Why don't you come here and show me what you can really do?"

The Stryke Ranger comments, "With pleasure! Stryke Claws!" Suddenly, his hands turn into giant crab claws as he charges towards Hiccup. Hiccup strikes down onto the Ranger with his sword, but that was futile as the Ranger grabs the blade of the sword in its claw. He then jabs Hiccup in the torso with his other claw and pushes him back. Hiccup simply stood back up and kept on going.

Meanwhile, the Razor Ranger was surrounded by the other three Rangers with Astrid in front of her, Snotlout behind her to her left and Fishlegs behind her to her right. She was holding her double-edged axe tight as she was waiting for one of them to make a move. "Well…come on then." She states. "I'm starting to get bored over here!"

Snotlout comments, "Then allow me to heat things up! Heat Wave!" He claps his hands together and sends a wave of heat.

Astrid adds, "Magnesium Blast!" Before she sends a burst of bright, hot magnesium laden flame.

Fishlegs then adds, "Lava Rock!" before forming a boulder of lava that he throws at the silver Ranger.

The three sources of heat collide, creating another small explosion that sprayed black smoke around the ranger. When the smoke cleared, the three Rangers were in shock as she seemed to have put up some kind of steel cocoon around herself that she put up. The Razor Ranger drops the cocoon and explains, "By fusing together the minerals in the earth, I can create a shield that can withstand the hottest of flames! Now then, it is my turn!"

With lightning speed, she smashes the blunt end of her axe into the three Rangers, knocking them all to the ground.

Seeing that his mentees were hurt, Hiccup pauses to look to see what was going on, but that was a mistake as the Stryke Ranger grabs Hiccup by the neck with one of his claws and raises Hiccup into the air, making him drop his sword as he chokes and tries desperately to get some air.

The Stryke Ranger comments, "I will admit, Vidger was right, you've got some skills, but fighting you is a joke! Has all that experience gone to waste?"

While choking, Hiccup comments, "So you…are working with Vidger…Or should I say, working FOR Vidger?"

The Razor Ranger adds while looking around at Astrid, Snotlout and Fishlegs, "And have a look at your minions, they couldn't even last half an hour against me! You might as well just hand over your Drago Scales now!"

Deciding that Hiccup's had enough, the Stryke Ranger throws him to the ground, leaving him a coughing mess as Hiccup gets air back into his lungs.

The Razor Ranger then joins the Stryke Ranger as the Razor Ranger states, "Alright, let's finish this!"

The Razor Ranger clips her double-edged axe into a U shape and connects that to the back end of the Tri-Stryke blaster as the two of them say, "Razor-Stryke Blaster!" The Stryke Ranger clips the barrel end of his blaster to the purple triangle before they both yell, "Fire!"

The Blaster sends a purple ball of energy that was laced with silver, red, blue and yellow lightning that hits Hiccup dead on, sending shocks of heat, cold, electricity and sharp pain, making him black out and flop onto the ground.

"NOOOOO!" Astrid yells. Snotlout and Fishlegs share in their utter shock.

From the Dragerium, Alicia comments, "This is much worse than I thought!" She then tells the Rangers, "Rangers, you need to get out of there as quick as you can! Grab onto Hiccup's Morpher and teleport out of there!"

Astrid nods to that as she and the other two dash over to Hiccup, she grabs Hiccup's Morpher and hits the home button, sending both of them back to the Dragerium. Once those four were gone, the Razor and Stryke Rangers hear Grisly, who had watched the whole thing, calling and saying, "Good! GOOD! You both did exactly as I expected!"

The Stryke Ranger comments, "Apologies, my lord, but we were unable to retrieve the Drago Scales."

Grisly replies with, "Oh, don't worry about that…for now, at least. Those Rangers now see just who they are messing with, and if I know them then you two will very likely see them again. For now, come back to the lair and we will plan out our next attack!"

Both Berserk Rangers reply with a salute, "Yes, sir!" before teleporting back to the Scale Shedder's lair.

Once they arrived back at the Dragerium, Astrid and the others set Hiccup down in the medical ward in the temple. The Drago Zords watch closely as they, especially the Night Fury Zord, were deeply worried about their dear friend.

Hiccup had several bandages on his head and chest and a damp towel on his forehead as Alicia explains, "His injuries are not fatal, but he has sustained a lot of damage and has been put into a coma as a result."

Fishlegs then asks, "When will he wake up?"

Alicia sighs. "It's hard to say, he did look pretty beat up. It could take days, weeks, even months!"

Astrid then comments with a sigh, "It's so weird, I've never seen Hiccup lose a fight before. He's always so…knowledgeable, so skillful, so…cunning."

Alicia nods. "I've seen it happen before, but never to this degree."

Snotlout then asks, "What happens now?"

Alicia replies with, "All we can do now is wait and pray. You will have to keep up with your training as usual, you'll need it if you wish to take out those Berserk Rangers."

Astrid then rubs her head saying, "it was so weird, I felt like I recognized their voices, I just…can't put my finger on it."

Alicia holds her closer saying, "Whether or not you actually know those rangers is irrelevant, they are a threat to both our city, our people, our Drago Scales and ourselves. We will need to find a way to stop them. In the meantime, I suggest we leave Hiccup alone, he needs the rest."

They nod as the four of them begin to walk out the room. Before she leaves, Astrid says to the others, "Uh…can I have just one more minute alone?" Alicia and the boys nod to that so they head out as Astrid walks up to Hiccup's bed. After making sure no one else was looking, Astrid leans in, lifts up the towel on Hiccup's forehead and kisses him right on the center of the forehead before saying, "…For luck." She then turns around and walks out.

Ok, so I wasn't trying to be subtle whatsoever as to who these new rangers really are, but I still think it will be fun having them.
