The turtles were currently on yet another plane. But this time they had their own private lounge thanks to agent Vincent. They were on their way to an area by High Peaks. There were reports of a large warehouse in the middle of the woods on the south side. It was rumored to be shipping large cases full of guns and drugs into New York city. Courtesy of the purple dragons.
It was the turtle's jobs to check out the location and intercept any shipments leaving for New York.
"Dudes! Where was this the first time we flew!" Mikey said as he reclined into a seat with a cold orange crush in his hands. "Man, this is the way to fly!"
Donnie was next to him on his wrist computer going over the warehouses blue prints. "Mikey, try to chill." He said grunting at Mikey. "We got another 45 minutes to go before we even get halfway there, so just keep it down. There are other people on the plane."
"I am chill dude. What ya talken bout?" Mikey said with a chuckle.
"Ah leave 'em be Don. Its na evera day we get ta be chillen like dis." Raph said as he leaned back in his own chair closing his eyes and folded his hands behind his head.
Leo, sitting by Raph, chuckled "Don't get to comfy boys. We are on a mission and things can change at any time." He smiled and glanced at Donnie. "Especially if Donnie decides to jump out of the plane again."
"I'm na doin that again." Raph said turning his head and glaring at Donnie.
"What? We had to stop Be-bop and Rocksteady, right?" He said smiling but still looking at his hologram screen. "That was the fastest way to get there."
"Haha to bad it didn't help anything." Mikey laughed. Causing Donnie to laugh with Mikey.
"Ya but it was fun though." Don said. They both laughed as they glanced at Raph.
"Ah come on dat was suicidal!" Raph exclaimed. Glaring over at his two brothers.
The others couldn't keep it in anymore.
"Hey Donnie don't you have a picture of Raph's face as he was falling." Mikey said.
"I do actually!" Donnie said with a grin as he pulled it up on his hologram screen.
All three burst out laughing when they saw it. Raph glared at his brothers as they continued.
"Ah shudap!" He yelled and grunted. But it just made there laughing fit worse. Soon he couldn't help himself and smirked. Poor Mikey fell out of his chair laughing so hard and Donnie was wiping tears from his eyes. Leo was able to compose himself faster than the other two.
"It's good to see them laughing again." Leo said so only Raph could hear.
Donnie and Mikey were talking amongst themselves.
"Ya, I don' think they hada laugh like dat since before we met April." Raph sighed and looked over at Leo. "What's eating you, Fearless?" Leo frowned at his red clad brother.
"What do you mean?" He asked confused.
"Ya know what I mean, Leo. You can try ta hide it from dem but ya ain't foolin me. I can see ya worried bout somethin." Raph said giving Leo annoyed look.
Leo sighed. He never could keep stuff from his brother no matter how hard he tried.
"Ya but I don't wanna bring the guys down. Look at them they are haven a blast, Raph. I don't want to ruin it for them."
"Ya ain't ruining nothin, and we been tellin ya, ta talk ta us. Don't keep bottlen it up." Raph said getting irritated.
Leo sighed again. In a low voice he explained his concern. "It's dad."
Raph sat up slowly. "Ya? What bout 'em?"
"He's not getting any younger, Raph and I worry. Just yesterday during training he seemed slower. I just can't shake this feeling, you know?"
Leo's face was full of concern as he clenched his hands. "What are we going to do if he . . .you know dies. . .while we are gone. It be my fault we weren't there."
Raph glared at him.
"Leonardo, ya know dats not true. All us worry bout dad. We also know dat you have April go check on 'em when we're way on missions. You can 'na always take the blame for everythin, leader or not. Sure dads gettin olda, and if somethin happens ya gota rememba dat we'ra all in dis tagetha." He said placing a firm grip on Leo's shoulder.
Leo smiled at his brother. Even though he and Raph didn't always get along, Raph was always there for his brothers. He always protected them from enemies to making sure they smiled, in his own way. He even kept them humble with all his teasing.
"Thanks, Raph." Leo said quietly to his brother.
"Ya don't mention it." Raph grunted.
"No really. I know I can be a pain sometimes." Leo said with a snicker.
"SOMETIMES?! HA! More like all da dam time." Raph said cocking an eyebrow at Leo.
Leo laughed. "Oh come on. I'm not that bad, . . . Right?"
"Yes, ya are." Raph said glaring. Leo just rolled his eyes.
Just then the static from the speakers came on "Pardon the interruption passengers. This is your captain; we are 5 clicks from our destination. Please prepare your gear for decent." The captain said.
Donnie quickly stood up and walked to the back of the plane and started putting some gear on. The others just looked at him confused.
"Uh? . . Dude? . . . what ya doin?" Mikey said as he walked over to Donnie, who had finished putting on his gear.
"Hold still, Mikey." Donnie said as he started putting gear on Mikey.
Leo and Raph walked up to them giving questioning looks at Donnie then to Mikey. Mikey just shrugged and stood still for his brother but would ask a bunch of different questions to Donnie. Don just ignored him or would slap Mikey's hand away from something.
"Okay Raph, your next." Donnie said as he started strapping the gear onto Raph.
"Whoa wait a minute, Donnie. What is all dis stuff for?" Raph said getting concerned.
"Don't worry Raph, we aren't jumping out of the plane." Donnie said then smirked as he finished with Raph and started on Leo. "We're gliding."
The brothers snapped their eyes up to Donnie.
"WHAT?!" Raph said threw clenched teeth. Leo and Mikey grinned.
"You said we weren jumpen!" Raph said angrily.
"We're not. The plane is going to be low enough for us to use these body gliders to go down the mountain without being seen from the warehouse." he said in a calculated tone as he pulled the last strap tight onto Leos shoulder.
"Ok, so when we step off keep your arms and legs wide to turn just lean the way you want to go. To go higher lean back to land lean forward and bring legs up before touching the ground. It's going to be a 20 min ride before we land. Make sure you have at least 20 feet between you and the ground. . ." He paused as he looked Raph up and down, ". . .make that 30 feet."
"Hey!" Raph growled. The other three snickered.
"Everyone got it?" Leo said and lined himself by the planes door. Donnie smiles and shakes out his arms and bounces on the balls of hid feet. Then the speakers screeched on.
"This is your Captain its now party time. We have a 30 second window. Opening hatch door." Then the door slowly opened to the night sky.
"I wanna go first this time, dudes!" Mikey said with a grin and stood in front of his brothers. The speaker screeched on again.
"Ok boys party time is a go in 3. . 2 . . 1."
"COWABUNGA, DUDES! WHOO-HOO!" Mikey yelled as he jumped out into the night air head first. Then Raph took several deep breaths to sike himself up then jumped after Mikey.
"DIS IS BULLSHIT!" He yelled. Donnie and Leo laughed.
"You knew this was gonna happen, didn't you?" Leo said to Donnie with a knowing grin.
"Its not my fault he wasn't listening to Detective Vincent." Donnie said with a big grin as he jumped out of the plane.
Leo did a hearty laugh and followed his brothers.
Donnie and Leo caught up with their brothers. They glided over trees and cliffs in the cool night air. Mikey was having the time of his life doing flips and weaving in and out of his brothers.
"'Ey, Don how much futha!" Raph called threw their communicators.
"Raph, I'm right here stop yelling." Don answered. "We are almost there, guys. Leo, we should be good to land soon."
"Alright, Donnie, bring us down." He said.
"There is a small field to the right. We should be able to land safely there." Don replied.
"Let's do it." Leo said. Donnie glided in front to lead his brothers down to land.
"Alright boys, feet under!" Donnie glided down and landed in a run.
Raph followed but Mikey was hot on his shell. As Raph was about to land Mikey slammed into his shell causing them to roll over each other a few feet. Leo landed with a few bounces behind.
"AH! MIKEY!" Raph said shoving Mikey off him and groaning to a stand.
"Sorry, Raph, I came in to hot." Mikey said as he sat up and scratched the back of his head.
"You guys good?" Leo asked taking off his body glider.
"Yeah, no thanks ta shell fa brains."
Raph said glaring at Mikey. Mikey looked away and slightly blushing.
"Sorry, man." He said quietly.
"Ya don eva think before ya do anythin! Ya coulda gotten hurt or one of us hurt! We are on a dam mission, Mikey!" Raph yelled at his younger brother.
"Alright, ENOUGH!" Leo yelled at Raph and gave him a stern 'really?!' look. Raph looked at Leo and gave him an irritated confused look. Leo jerked his head to Mikey while folding his arms across his chest. Raph looked back at the youngest brother. Mikey had his head hanging low and Raph saw him swallow hard as tried to keep tears out of his eyes. Raph heavily sighed and closed his eyes. He knew his temper got the better of him again.
"Look, Mikey, I didna mean ta yell. I'm just on edge, ok, I'm sorry I yelled at ya." Raph glanced at Mikey who just nodded and started takin the glider gear off.
"Alright, now that that is taken care of where to Donnie?" Leo asked turning to his brother who was typing away at his arm.
"We need to head 40 degrees west and have about a 32.1869 kms to our destination. It will be about a 140 minutes." he said turning to Leo who gave him a blank face. Donnie sighed.
"We need to go that way for 20 miles and its going to take about an hour and 45 minutes." He said as he repeated his words so his brothers would understand him.
"Thanks." Leo said with a sarcastic smile and started jogging in the indicated direction. The others fell in behind him with Raph covering the rear.
