Raph was getting impatient. They had been huddled in there hiding place for over four hours waiting for something to happen. It was 2am and still nothing major was happening just guards walking back and forth.
"We need ta get in dere, Leo." Raph whispered.
"Chill, Raph, try using some of the calming exercises sensei taught to you." Leo said rubbing his face with his hand.
"Here. I brought your hand grips, Raph." Donnie said pulling them out of his pack tossing them to Raphael.
"Thanks." Raph said taking a deep breath. He worked the grips and concentrated on staying calm. He looked around at the warehouse. Then spotted something odd. Raph nudged Leos side with his elbow. Leo looked at his brother and Raph nodded toward the direction he was looking in. Leo fallowed his gaze. There were flashing lights in the upper window of the warehouse.
"Good eye. Ok, let's go, Donnie you and Mikey go around back. Raph and I will head for that window. Keep your communicators open. Report what you guys find. Everyone good?" Leo said in leader mode.
"Oh!" Mikey said in an excited whisper while raising his hand in the air.
"What, Mikey?" Leo sighed.
"Are we gonna eat after this? I'm starving!" He said with a shit eating grin. Raph just smacked him upside the head. "Ow! Dude!"
"Get ya head in da game, Mikey!" Raph said.
"Ok! Geez. What's your problem, dude? Feels like you're on your period." Mikey said rubbing his head.
"Whad ya say?!" Raph was about to get in Mikey's face when Leo grabbed his shoulder.
"Enough, you two! This isn't the time for this! Now let's go!" Leo whispered harshly. Donnie pulled Mikey with him and they disappeared into the brush.
"Come on, Raph." Leo said with a load of irritation in his voice and snuck towards the building. Raph just grunted and followed.
They got to the buildings outer wall and then Leo motioned for Raph to give him a lift. Leo grabbed the balcony and helped Raph climb up as well. They went up to the window using the shadows as cover and peered in.
"All right, boys, let's get this last shipment loaded up. We can't leave anything here. The N.Y.P.D. is hot on our tail. They should be here in a day or two. We need to be out by tonight." A large buff guy with scars all over his face and blond hair was directing a group off underlines.
"Look, Raph, they all got purple dragons on them." Leo whispered.
"We gotta contact Vincent. They are gonna get away wit all dat shit." Raph said.
"Hear that, Donnie?" Leo asked over the com.
"Roger, contacting the detective." Donnie answered.
"Alright, you guys do that and Raph and I will stall them." Leo said.
"How we gonna do dat?" Raph asked.
"I'd start with the trucks. If those men are able to get that stuff they will use them to cause trouble in the city." Donnie whispers over the communicator.
"Donnie's right. We need to trash those trucks. Alright Raph, you're up." Leo said with a smirk.
"Bout fuckin time." Raph said grinning.
"I'll take out the ones closest to us on the north wall. Donnie give us some cover. Raph will take out the trucks and then mickey and Donnie will finish the six closest to the south east wall. Remember this is to be quick. Don't do anything extra, Vincent has the base of the mountain surrounded." Leo said. " okay, Donnie, we go in 3, 2, 1!"
The entire facility went black. Since the boys were familiar with the dark it wasn't a problem for them to sneak into the building without being detected. The goons were yelling left and right in agony and anger.
"Go, Raph!" Leo grunted over his mic.
Raph was running to the trucks and smashing all the engines as fast as he could while taking out any criminals along the way. As he hit the last one something nocked into him causing him to stumble back.
"What are you, freaks!?" It was the boss guy with the scars. He was holding a large hunting knife. Raph pulled out his Sai and got into his fighting stance.
"Yur purtty fuckin ugly ya self, dumb-ass." Raph said with a grin.
"Ha-ha. The freaks got jokes" the boss said as he looked over his shoulder and saw flashing red and blue lights heading his way.
"Let's see if you got jokes after this!" He yelled as he threw a back pack at Raph. Raph caught it with ease, but when he looked up he saw the boss running away laughing.
Then he looked inside and saw it was a bomb with a 3-minute timer counting down.
"LEO! MIKEY! DONNIE! RUN NORTH NOW!" Raph screamed at his brothers as he sprinted and crashed through the south facing window. He ran as fast as he could away from his brothers. He was coming up to a cliff a half mile away from his family.
"FUCK!" Raph yelled to himself as he ran faster.
"Raph, you're going the wrong way!" Donnie said concerned.
"RAPH! THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!?" Leo yelled threw his mic. Leo started running after him.
"Come on man, where are you going!?" Mikey said terrified, both he and Donnie fallowed Leo. Donnie noticed with horror the ground was splattered with blood.
Raph was almost at the cliffs edge.
"Leonardo?" Raph said.
"Yeah!?"Leo answered. Leo then saw Raph running toward the cliff.
"NO! NO! STOP!" Leo screamed desperately.
"Take care of them." Raph said as he ran and jumped off the cliff then threw as hard as he could the backpack into the air.
"RAPHEAL!"Leo screamed.
A second later the bomb went off and nocked Leo and the others back a few feet. Leo frantically struggled to get back up and crawled to the cliffs edge.
"NNNNNNNOOOOOOO! RAPHEAL!" Leo screamed threw tears. He saw his brothers lifeless body hit the river below. It resurfaced with a cloud of blood around it. Then was swept away by the rapids.
"Come on we have to help him!" cried Mikey. He franticly looked between his remaining brothers. Donnie came over to him with tears in his eyes and hugged him.
"Mikey. . . . he saved us." Donnie said threw his tears. "He was hurt and he still saved us!"
"what!?" Leo whipped around and looked at his brothers. Then saw with horror the blood that lead back to the warehouse all over the ground. Leo fell to his knees and wept. The three of them wept for what seemed like forever.
Then an out of breath Detective Vincent and Casey ran up to them. Seeing the turtles so distraught and all the blood.
"w-where's Raph?" Casey asked gently. Vincent put her hand on his shoulder. He looked back at her and she shook her head. Then Leo stood up, whipping his face, started walking down the cliffs edge.
"Where are you going?" the detective asked as she put a hand on Leo's shoulder.
Leo turned his head enough to look at her with eyes full of anger and rage.
"I'm going to get my brother." He said with enough venom that it made her flinch back as if he had struck her, letting him go and Leo walked on. Mikey and Donnie with tears still in their eyes fallowed him down to the river.
