AUTHOR'S NOTE: My deepest apologies on the nearly year long wait. I admit, I'm not as passionate about this story as of late, but that doesn't keep me from writing this story. I have been coming up scenes for future chapters and some other crossover ideas, so it's not like I was doing nothing.

Anyways, just to be clear, like the last three chapters involving the Disney worlds, none of the Disney World chapters, including this one, would NOT be following any of the Disney movies the worlds are based off of. They will be original stories following Sora, Madoka, and the others as they journey on through these worlds that are either after the Disney movies themselves or in between movies. There will be mentioning of what happened in the movies in the story but nothing is directly tied to the movies themselves. So don't be expecting any singing and dancing in detail; it's not that type of story. Plus keep in mind this is five years after Kingdom Hearts III so some adventures that Sora and the others claimed to have had that has not happened in Kingdom Hearts, yet, is in my expectation of what's to come.

Someone mentioned that this is an off-shoot of Kingdom Hearts III. Just to be clear, this does follow Kingdom Hearts III; I am assuming that Sora comes back either by Riku or Kairi, and I'm hoping its Kairi that does the actual job of helping Sora return, in time for what's to come in the next saga of the Kingdom Hearts franchise.

Once again, I do not own anything except for the Forgotten.

Now that's all said and done, time for the show.

CHAPTER 8: SOME VACATION THIS TURNED OUT TO BE

*MERLIN'S MAGICAL HOUSE*

"Oh, confound it. Where did I leave it this time?" Merlin complains aloud as he rummages through a pile of books in one corner of his house. While he didn't mind the Radiant Garden Committee to use his home as its HQ in its first couple years, he was glad that they got their own place. Especially that they moved Cid's computer out of his house and does not have to bicker with the Gummi Engineer as often. Now, he can work out any new spells without worry; as long as he knows what he's doing. He pauses in his task as he hears the front door opening. The wizard is not afraid or on alert at the slightest; he had a spell set up that it would not open for anyone except for friends or associates. He turns to the door, smiling through his beard, "Ah, so good to see you again, Riku."

"Right back at you," the silver-haired man responds. Next to him is a girl, wearing a green shirt, black leggings, that go down to a pair of green and white high-heeled boots who was looking around.

"Hm. Who's that?"

Riku turns to her with a sad smile, "An old friend." He turns to Merlin with a more curious look, walking to the latter, "By the way, I heard something interesting from Leon. Is it true?

Merlin blinks a few times, before realizing what the Keyblade Master is talking about. "Why, yes. Quite a surprise for myself," the wizard admits while stroking his beard.

"And the progress?"

The wizard smiles, "It's going along splendidly, if I do say so myself."

Riku offers a smirk, "Got to admit, that was quite a surprise when I heard about it. Anything I can do to help."

"Don't worry, Lea is taking care of it as we speak."

Riku smirks, "I would have preferred anyone else, but considering the circumstances, I think he's may be the best choice. Especially if it was his find."

What Riku said piques the wizard, "So you are aware of the situation?" Merlin asks.

The Keyblade Master nods with a stoic expression, "The Abandoned and Forgotten, right? Already had to tangle with them in another world. Guess we got there just in time before it got closed off." He looks at his current companion, who is a younger girl with green, shoulder-length hair with short twin tails held together with gold, ball-like clips. "And speaking of time, it's best for me and my partner to move along." He turns to back to the old wizard. "As much as I would like to wait and see THAT for myself, we better get going. After all, Sora can't really watch over his own back after all this time. Especially with his usual travel buddies with him."

"Oh I'm sure they will be quite fine," Merlin says with a proud smile.

"True," he admits with closed eyes and a smile. He turns around to his partner, "Well, time for us to hit the road. Let's get going Wilda."

Wilda turns to him, showing off a green, egg-shaped gem within a silver cage that goes from the top to the bottom on the sides of it and the bands on the front and back forming an X-shape. "Okay~" she says in a sing song voice.

"Oh boy! Agrabah! We finally made it!" Goofy shouts joyfully as he leads the other three through the main gates of the desert city.

"About time!" Donald yelled in an annoyed tone. "I was getting tired of walking through that desert."

"Agreed," Madoka, in her civilian outfit, stands near the gate alongside Sora, shaking sand out of one of her shoes before putting it back on. She raises her right hand, which has a silver bracelet engraved with a sun and moon designs that are engraved with a ruby and sapphire respectively. "Good thing we bought these desert charms from that Moogle at that oasis."

Sora follows the pinkette towards the others, "Yep, managed to make good time. I'm kind of surprised we didn't run into any Forgotten in the past couple days."

"Honestly, I think it was nice not having to get into any fights," Madoka says merrily as she raises her Force Gem, which is a bright pink. "It gave me plenty of time for my Force Gem to clear up."

"That's good," Sora says with a smile before turning serious, "But back to the Forgotten. If they are active in this world, then they have to be somewhere around here." Sora looks around the marketplace with a growing, nostalgic smile, "Sure has been a long while since we've been here."

The party of four continued their trek through the marketplace filled with all sorts of vendors selling their merchandise, ranging from fruits to jewelry. The pinkette takes in all the hustle and bustle as the salesmen make their pitches. "It's very lively here. So Sora, anything I should be aware of? You really didn't say much on the way over here."

"Let's see, nothing much," he says before sporting big smile, "Although I was kind of expecting for Genie to roll out the red carpet for us."

"Genie…," Madoka brings a hand to her chin as she recalls the stories the Keyblade Master had told her when he first met her. "He was the magical being that was bound to a lamp, right?"

Sora nods, "That's right," the Keyblade Masters places his hands behind his head. "Now he's a free spirit doing whatever he wants. Of course, he always prefers to hang out with Aladdin. Speaking of which; wonder how he's doing in the palace?"

"Palace?" the Magical asks with curious surprise, "So he's royalty, now?"

Sora scratches the back of his head with an unsure smile, "Kind of. From the last time I was here after he married Jasmine; she's the one calling the shots around here, while Aladdin does his best to make sure all the poor here get plenty of help in order to get by. And to ward off any threats like thieves and bandits." Sora chuckles at the irony, "Kinda funny since he used to be a thief himself. Though the only things he stole was merely food. Now his partner, Abu that's-"

"Someone stop that monkey!" someone yells out. The party stops; turning around to where they heard if from. Looking downward they spot a monkey, wearing a distinctive vest and fez, running by them; carrying several round objects. The party looks on ahead as the monkey leaves the marketplace.

"Wasn't that…" Goofy starts out.

"Abu?" Donald finishes.

The Keyblade Master didn't like this at all; crossing his arms. "Okay, now I'm worried. I know Abu has sticky fingers for jewels and such. But he pretty much stopped swiping things from other people since the royal wedding." He turns to his companions, "Did anyone happen to see what he had?"

Madoka nods, "It seems like he was carrying several apples on him."

"Same," Sora nods, "If Abu is out here stealing food; there's a chance that something may have happened at the palace."

"So, what's the plan?" Donald asks.

Sora turns to his old friends, "Can you and Goofy ask around all the stalls here for Abu? I get the feeling this wasn't the first time this had happened recently?" Donald and Goofy nods in acceptance.

Madoka tilts her head curiously, "And us?"

The spiky-haired man turns to her, "We'll head towards the palace and see if anything has happened. Sound good?" Madoka hums in affirmation. After Sora tells everyone to meet up in front of the palace; they all headed out to their assigned tasks.

The royal captain of the guards, Razoul, a man with a large frame, stands guard in front of the palace's gates with his eyes closed. He opens them in time to see Sora and Madoka walking towards him. The Keyblade Master notices him with a small smile. He had met the captain guard several times. While they are not friends by no means, there is respect from one to another. This leads to surprise on the younger man when Razoul brandishes his sword and points its at the Keyblade Master when is just short of his range. Sora raises his hands up in a placating manner, "Whoa, easy there! Don't you recognize me?"

"I never seen in you in my life," Razoul scoffs. "What business do you have at the palace?"

Already warning bells in both Sora's and Madoka's heads. Sora quickly puts up a smile, hoping being friendly will get them somewhere, "I'm actually here to check in on Aladdin."

Razoul's eyes narrows at that statement, "What makes you think that filthy street rat is here?"

"Uh…okay," he nervously responds. Should've seen that one coming, he thought. He decides on a different approach, "How about Jasmine?"

"Jasmine?" the guard says with confusion. Said confusion fuels his frustration, "There is no one here by that name. Tell me your real reason, or I'll throw you into the dungeon myself!" He demands, thrusting his sword towards Sora's throat; who leans back slightly.

"Uh well… we were…" Sora tries to come up with something quick. He didn't expect to have the current ruler of Agrabah to be considered a nobody to the palace.

Luckily for him, Madoka is quick to back him up, "We were invited to come to the palace by someone very important."

Razoul eyes her suspiciously, "Is that so? First, I've heard of any invitations."

"Really?" she responds with a hand to her mouth; selling her fake astonishment. She turns to the Keyblade Master, acting sheepishly, "Well, we got here early, so we'll be on our way."

Sora follows up, slowly backing away, "Yeah, we'll just drop by at a later time, so later." The two turn around and head back in the city. Sora thanks Madoka for the save when the guard is out of earshot from the two. The pinkette smiles in response. After reaching the city proper, Sora and Madoka lean back on one of the walls on the path to the palace. "Okay, forgetting that Aladdin lives here now is one thing. But for him to forget about Jasmine as well, something must be very wrong." Sora crosses his arms, "Guess we'll just have to wait for Donald and Goofy."

"No need for that, Sora," Donald says to them as he and Goofy approach the two.

"How'd it go?" the knight captain inquires.

"Denied at the front gate," the Keyblade Master reports.

Madoka brings a hand to her chest, "The guard thinks Aladdin is still a thief and he does not remember Jasmine at all."

"Gee, that doesn't sound good," states Goofy slightly gloomily.

"What about you two?" Madoka asks.

Goofy answers, "You were right, Sora. This wasn't the first time Abu has been stealing food recently."

Donald follows up, "We tried going to Aladdin's old home but the whole place was filled with guards and no one else."

"Great," Sora says sarcastically, having everyone's attention, "they could be about anywhere."

The pinkette turns to the duck and dog, "Do you have any clues?"

"Well, according to the folks around here, Aladdin has been hiding out somewhere in the western side of the city," Goofy reports.

Donald chimes in, "They also say Abu has been seen around there as well."

"Unfortunately, the guards all also on patrol there; and it seems they are looking for Aladdin," Goofy continues in a concerned tone, "And I don't think Aladdin wants to meet them anytime soon."

Sora crosses his arms, "I see. Well, let's just look around that area then. If we can find Abu, he could lead us to Aladdin, and maybe Jasmine as well." Donald and Goofy nod in agreement.

Madoka smiles, "Looks like we're all in agreement."

"Right," Sora says with a fist pump, "Let's go."

The sun sets for the day and the walls of the city casts its shadows. Sora and company have been combing through the streets for several hours; looking for any clues to Aladdin. So far, they have not found any new information. What was disturbing were the guards that were out on patrolling the streets. One group questioned the party for any information on the "infamous street rat," but they deny any involvement. The streets were becoming scarcer as the citizens head home. The group ventured into one of the poorer districts on the west side. Not even once they had been intercepted by any enemies. Until screeching animal sounds forces Sora and the others to stop.

*SINISTER SHADOWS*

Heading in their direction from the opposite direction they were heading is Abu, being chased by three large, humanoid Forgotten. The Thick Thieves have silver, muscular builds; when standing they are six feet tall. They dual wield large black scimitars. They wear black scarves, off-white masks and with black eye slits and the Forgotten emblem etched from the chest down to the naval area. They wear red satin belts atop black sirwals that go down to their ankles along with golden Arabic shoes.

"Try us on for size you big bullies!" Sora calls out the Forgotten as he and the others, with Madoka transforming in a second, summon their weapons. Abu keeps running past them but the Forgotten stop in their tracks and focus on the world travelers. The lead Forgotten charges at Sora with an overhead slash with both weapons. Sora braces the blow with his Keyblade and the two are attempting to overpower the other with their locked weapons.

The second Thick Thief slashes vertically with its right scimitar at Madoka; who twirls to her right to dodge. She twirls in the opposite direction to dodge the vertical slash from its left. The pinkette ducks; avoiding her head from getting severed. She immediately backflips over the Forgotten's low sweep of its sword. In the middle of her flip, she launches a magical arrow; hitting the Forgotten square in the head. The monster falls to the ground as Madoka touches down, only to bounce higher with another arrow ready. Her aim is true, hitting it in the chest and vanquishing the monster.

Meanwhile, the third Thick Thief keeps striking at Goofy; who is managing to block all of its attacks. Donald is behind the dog captain, waving his wand in deep concentration. After raising the wand with a flash; small meteors fall upon the monster. The monster stumbles backwards from the magician's spell. Goofy takes the chance for the offensive; going into a spin. His momentum allows the edge of his shield to cut into the monster multiple times before it can no longer endure and turns into wisps.

Sora manages to overpower his opponent; leaving it wide open for ten quick strikes. Sora slides back; spinning his Keyblade with one hand. After bringing his sword arm across his body, he appears behind the Thick Thief with his weapon in the air. A single white line flashes through the Forgotten's body before disappearing.

They hear more screeching from the pillaging monkey. As soon as they turn around, Abu is being chased by another set of three Thick Thieves. Abu once again passes by them. The three magic users stand in a line; Madoka on Sora's right and Donald on his left. Icy energy gathers in Sora's weapon; signaling the other two. At once, all three cast Blizzard. Their spells aimed at the ground just before the Forgotten; encasing it in ice. The three Forgotten slip on the ice in a comical fashion and land on their backs. Madoka raises her free arm as the other two raise their weapons. The Magical Girl swings her arm down as sparks emanate from the Keyblade and wand; summoning thunder to zap their enemies for a few seconds before being destroyed.

The party turns around runs ahead to catch up with the monkey. Along their way they had to fight off smaller Forgotten, namely groups of Amnesia, Scatterbrains, and Sheltered. They soon find themselves blocked by another group of three Thick Thieves. Madoka speeds ahead of the other three. All three of the Forgotten attack with overhead strikes. The Magical Girl swings her free arm; creating a Reflect barrier that manages to hold off their attacks. The barrier shatters with a pulse; pushing back the Forgotten before getting caught by the flashes of the magical counter. Sora jumps over the pinkette; landing on the head of the Thick Thief in the middle before bouncing off of it backwards. Goofy bashes his shield at another Forgotten as Donald launches a fireball at the third; both Forgotten being destroyed. Afterwards, Sora throws his Keyblade; slicing through the remaining enemy and it too turns into wisps upon its destruction. With them out of the way, Sora, Madoka, Donald, and Goofy continued running through the empty street.

They rounded a turn in the road, just in time to see Abu entering an open door before it closes. After walking up to the door, Sora knocks on the door. "Yes?" a young man's voice answers. A voice Sora recognizes with a smile.

"Hey, I was wondering if you've seen a sneaky monkey running around."

"Uh, no no! There's no monkeys here," the young man responds in a panic.

"Really?" Sora asks with mock confused face, "Because I thought wherever Abu goes, you're there as well."

"Wait, that voice…" the door opens, and on the other side is none other than Aladdin in the clothes from his thieving days. His smile widens at looking at his guests. "Sora, Donald, Goofy. Boy, am I glad to see you guys!"

The Keyblade Master smiles, "Same, so can we come in?"

"Of course," Aladdin welcomes them in. After closing the door, he notices the pinkette. "By the way, what's your name?"

Madoka smiles before giving a small bow, "I'm Madoka. I'm a Magical Girl traveling with Sora, Donald, and Goofy. I heard so much about you."

"Well, it's nice to meet you," the man rubs the back of his neck, "Wish it was in better circumstances."

"So what happened at the palace?" Sora asks with a serious expression.

"We can get to that," he starts with a grim look before slightly brightening up, "but follow me first." The party of four follow Aladdin. They come across Abu in the next room, who looks at the four excitedly. The original trio of the party says their hello before continuing to follow Aladdin. They enter a room in the back, where a young woman with long, black hair, adorned with a blue tiara with a sapphire gem in the middle, in a brown cloak, was cradling a baby boy while a four-year old girl was sleeping upon a not so comfy bed. "Jasmine," the man whispers out to her. She turns to her husband and upon seeing their guests she welcomes them with hopeful smile.

"You're here," she whispers. She wanted to say it louder but she did not wish to disturb their children. She walks up to them, "It's so good to see you again."

"Glad to see you are doing well," Sora responds in the same hushed tone before gesturing to the Magical Girl. "By the way, this is our friend Madoka."

Madoka smiles on cue and greets the former Princess of Heart. She turns to the child on the bed before turning to the babe in Jasmine's arms. "Your children look lovely."

Jasmine looks down at her youngest with a fond smile, "Indeed they are." She looks up and notices that the pinkette is still looking at her baby. "Would you like to hold her?"

"Me?" she asks in a raised voice; though not loud enough to wake either child. Jasmine nods to answer. The Magical Girl's eyes lit up, "I'd love to." Carefully, Jasmine transfers the babe into Madoka's open arms. She gently cradles the youngest of the royal family, "He's so cute."

The guys meanwhile, hang back by the entrance. Aladdin taps the Keyblade Master's shoulder and nudges his head back. Sora nods in response and follows the man with Donald and Goofy not far from behind. "You guys have no idea how much we're relieved to see you here."

Goofy gets to the point, "So, uh… what exactly happened?"

"And where's Genie?" Donald adds in.

Sora gives in his two cents, "Yeah, haven't seen him or Carpet around."

"Where to begin?" the street rat turned royal into refugee rubs his head. He starts off how Genie decided to go off on another adventure, especially with how calm and peaceful Agrabah has been over the years. Several days later, the guards suddenly surrounded him and his family and had them all thrown into dungeon along with Abu and Carpet. The news leave the three aghast of that they would do that even to the children. Luckily, they weren't chained down or anything. Even more lucky is that they were in the dungeon that had the secret passage that Jafar had showed the former thief when he was first captured. They managed to escape and thanks to the townsfolk that knew Aladdin well, hid him and his family in their current housing. Aladdin said that he tried using the secret passage to sneak back in the palace but came across a barrier preventing further entry. He had tried again with Carpet in the air but the same barrier was covering the entire palace. It was then that the guards were sent out to capture Aladdin. Since then, he had to have Abu go out and get food since he can't risk leaving Jasmine and their children to fend for themselves. Carpet had already left Agrabah to find Genie and they've been doing what they can to sustain themselves.

"I see. In that case, Donald, Goofy, Madoka, and myself will see if we can find both Carpet and Genie."

"Thanks, guys." Aladdin says gratefully; placing his hands on the younger man's shoulders. "I'd like to join you like old times." He turns to the room where he can see Jasmine and Madoka talking to each other with the babe still in the pinkette's arms. "But I got a family to protect. And I'll never forgive myself if something were to happen to them while I'm out."

"Don't worry, we got this!" Sora proclaims with a proud smile.

The magician of the group sighs as he plops down onto the floor. "Could we rest first, though? We haven't done that since we broke camp this morning."

"You guys are welcome to stay the night, consider it thanks in advance."

"Gee, that sounds swell, Aladdin," the knight captain says with a thankful smile.

A young lady with long, teal hair wearing a high school uniform and skirt sleeps on her side on a corner of the Shibuya Crossing. Strangely enough no one is taking notice of her. One person walking in her direction actually steps through the girl; her appearance becoming semi-transparent. The person kept on going; not realizing what occurred. In fact, on one else seems to realize this. All except for Naminé, who is watching over her. She gives a slight shiver as someone passes through her without a thought. Though this isn't the first time since she started this game, it still unnerves her. After quickly regaining her composure, she kneels down and strokes the sleeping girl's hair.

"Enjoying the game, so far?" a masculine voice calls to her. Walking up to her is the white, glowing form of Joshua as the Composer of Shibuya.

Naminé wears a small smile as she stands up and turns to the approaching man. "It's not too bad. All you have us do is taking care of those foreign creatures and not the local monsters. Still hard to believe you set things up so they can notice us when the people in the RG do not."

"It's all because of those special pins I had prepared. It not only allows them to see the two of you but allows you to interact with them. Which allows you to get rid of those pests in my city."

"Just four more days…" the blonde whispers as she looks down at the sleeping figure. She turns to the Composer. "Have you found out anything more from those memories?"

"I have been busy sorting them out. Really glad she cares more about her forgotten memories instead of anything else. Of course, I could have taken away her desire for those memories; but taking the memories themselves had a similar effect. If you haven't told her that her memories were taken as a price then she wouldn't be putting this much effort into the game." The man crosses his arms, "But in regards to our current situation not much. Although I have the general idea of who she is prior to her amnesia." A thin line of a frown marks his features, "To be honest, her history is… not pleasant."

Naminé frowns upon hearing this. "Is it really bad?"

Joshua shrugs his shoulders. "Who knows, while I can peer into these memories; all I can get is the general idea of the story," he turns to the sleeping girl. "Only by restoring these memories to her can we get the full picture. By the time you two clear the game, the memories should be all set. Until then, just keep up the good work. As for what's going on outside," he trails off before looking up to the sky, "we'll just have to count on the others to do their best to resolve the problems those creatures are causing in all the other worlds."

As the sun rises, Madoka in her civilian clothes, follows the rest of her party through the city gates as several merchants have been coming and going. The pinkette hopes that they can find either Genie or Carpet soon. After all, it's only a matter of time before the patrolling guards capture Aladdin and his family again. She had thought on who would benefit from having them in the dungeon. It's already enough that they are no longer remembered as royalty that lives in the palace, but why take it a step further. The only thing she could surmise is to prevent any form of uprising. She had yet to disclose this to the others; but she feels that the guys don't need the extra pressure. Besides, Sora would do anything for his friends.

Speaking of the spiky-haired, Keyblade Master, he notices a traveling merchant with carpets on top of his camels. One of his carpets looks familiar. Sora gets closer. His eyes widen with a small gasp of recognition. The colors, the design, the golden tassels on the corners. There is no doubt to the young man. It is indeed The Carpet. "Hey, hold on!" he turns to the merchant.

"Oh, found something you fancy?" The merchant asks with a customer service smile.

Sora points at Carpet, "This carpet here, where did you get it?"

"Ah, a wise choice. I just happened to get a hold of such a rare thing from a hooded merchant out in the desert not too long ago. She was wearing a strange looking mask as I recalled."

That got Madoka's attention. She comes up to the merchant, "This masked person, was she wearing a white cloak with a mask with a heart-shaped face etched into it?"

"Hmm. Well, that sounds about right for the mask. But she was wearing a lavender cloak, if I recall correctly."

"I see…" she turns to the camel carrying Carpet. On that same camel was an odd-looking lantern giving off a strange, white glow. "What about that lantern?"

"Ahh, that is a gift from the young lady. She says that's a special lantern; it never burns out and cool to the touch. She says it helps bring the true color on that special carpet.

Madoka hums with a suspicious eye. She approaches the camel carrying both Carpet and the strange, white lantern. As she gets within an arm's reach of it, she can already feel that this lamp has some type of strange power. She slowly raises a hand towards it. The moment she touches it; it gave off a pulse, scaring the camel. The lantern was easily dislodged and shatters upon crashing onto the hardened sand surrounding the city. Several wisps spin around them before hovering above the ground and transform into Amnesia; prompting her to transform. The sight of the monsters causes the merchant and any surrounding folk to run away screaming. Madoka and her comrades summon their weapons and square off against the surrounding Forgotten.

The battle lasts only a minute. After defeating the Forgotten, a sigil appears on Carpet before breaking off. Seconds, later it slowly moves before flying around. Madoka looks at the Carpet with amazed smile. "Wow," is the only thing that escapes her mouth. Sora, Donald, and Goofy simply smile at their flying friend.

"Hey, Sora!" a scratchy voice yells out breaking them out of their reverie. The Keyblade Master turns around, finding the source in the form of a tired Iago. Noticing the red parrot's state, Goofy opens his hands up and Iago slowly lands on the welcoming landing spot.

"Hey, Iago what are you doing out here?" Sora asks as he approaches the exhausted parrot.

"I was actually on my way to see Al, but I 'm glad I ran into you."

"What do you need Aladdin for?" the spiky haired man asks with a tilt of his head.

"Simple, so we can bust the Genie out of his prison!" Iago exclaims

"Wait…What?!" Sora exclaims with an unconscious step back.

"Start explaining!" Donald demands.

"Well, me and Cassim were looking for some rare treasure in some ruins a bit far from here," the feathered treasure hunter explains. "When we reached the deepest part; there were these white weirdoes. And on the altar was some weird, magic orb or something. I managed to fly around them without them noticing, until I shouted out loud when I discovered the big, blue guy trapped in it. We high tailed it out of there when those things spotted me!" Iago flaps his wings before taking into the air, "Cassim sent me here to get some extra help from Aladdin. Speaking of which, where is he?"

"He's hiding out in the slums," Madoka speaks up, "Someone took over the palace and he's been keeping a low profile with his family."

"Family? Whoa, wait until Cassim finds out he's a grandfather! Speaking of relationships," he turns to the Keyblade Master. "So, Sora, cheating on your girlfriend with pinky, here?"

"What!?" I'd never do that!" "I-it's nothing like that!" Sora and Madoka exclaim.

"Oh, and here I thought I found something juicy."

"Hey, stay focused!" Donald scolds loudly with a disapproving glare, "Where's Cassim and Genie!?"

"Well, I'd love to show you the way, but I need to seriously rest my feathers," he says, landing on top of Goofy's hat.

Carpet, which has been flying around the group the whole time sinks towards the ground and stops in between the group; raising its front right corner to indicate its offer to give them a lift.

"Good idea, Carpet," he turns to the pinkette, "Ready to go for a ride?"

Madoka nods with a smiling hum. Half a minute later, Carpet flies off with Sora, with Iago on his shoulder, and Madoka in front and Donald and Goofy behind them.

The sun is high, scorching the sands below. A series of ruins are half buried in the sand. One such ruin has a series of columns leading to an underground entrance. A middle-aged man stands near the entrance of underground ruins, giving water to a horse. He has black hair and beard, wearing a blue wrap cloak, fastened by a gold medallion of a hand. Underneath is a lighter blue, baggy, long-sleeved shirt under tight black overalls going from his neck down to his shoes with a purple sash at the waist. The man sighs before looking towards the entrance.

A shadow passes over him. He looks up finding a familiar, flying carpet. "Cassim!" Iago calls out as the carpet descends. Carpet hovers in place just a little above the sand, allowing its passengers to disembark. The man looks at the party with slightly widened eyes.

"Sora," the man replies.

"Hey, Cassim," Sora smiles with a raised hand before dropping it. "Still looking for treasure in this giant sandbox."

Cassim chuckles before approaching the younger man. The former King of Thieves places his right hand on Sora's left shoulder, "Good to see you again." His smile turns into a concerned frown, "Where's Aladdin?"

"About that," Sora says before explaining the situation. Cassim was definitely shocked that he is now a grandfather, considering he has not met his son since he last waved farewell to him and Jasmine out in the desert. Although considering the time that's past since then, he should have known that he would have grandchildren by now. He doesn't dwell on it for long, focusing more on what has happened to them.

During the explanation Iago flew off and landed on Cassim's shoulder. "I see. That makes sense," the latter states. "I'm sure Iago told you of what we discovered."

Sora nods before turning to the ruins' entrance. "Is Genie in there?"

"Yes," he says before turning around, "Follow me, these ruins are filled with dangerous traps." Sora follows the older man. Madoka, Donald, and Goofy not far behind.

A corridor filled with fire lays behind the dungeon crawlers. Donald was breathing heavily as he lies on his stomach; with his tail feathers slightly charred. "Why are there traps like this?"

Goofy scratches his head, "Well, don't most ruins have traps in them anyways to scare off intruders?"

"Or in this case, cook us alive?" Sora responds while leaning back on the far wall, hands behind his head. He gives the duck a cheesy smile, "At least you don't have to worry about being someone's dinner."

"Oh no you didn't," Donald grumbles loudly before quacking erratically. "You cheated in getting past there!"

"Hey, I just ran along the walls," Sora defends himself, "Besides, wasn't my fault that your spell ran out of power, which led to you and Goofy triggering it."

Goofy sighs as their argument starts to heat up, "They're they go again."

"Does this happen a lot?" Madoka asks the Knight Captain.

"Not all the time, but when those two go at it well…" he turns back to the two with worried eyes.

Madoka stares at the Keyblade Master and the Magician, while the Cassim is rubbing his head to prevent a coming migraine. A small smile comes across her face before giggling. It was enough for the two to stop their argument and turn to the pinkette. Noticing their attention on her, she waves her hand with a sheepish smile, "Sorry, it's just that you two remind me of Sayaka and Kyoko. Once they start arguing, they would argue for hours before one of us tries to break it up."

The arguing pair blinked before sighing then turning to each other. "Sorry about that dinner joke," Sora apologizes.

"Yeah, I'm sorry too," Donald says with a I just need to work more on that spell being used on more than one person."

Goofy gives his trademark chuckle, "That certainly did the trick, Madoka." The pinkette smiles sheepishly.

"Well, I'm sure that's enough rest, everyone," Cassim states. He looks towards the next hallway. "Genie and those monsters are just up ahead."

Madoka walks up to the entrance first before looking back at the guys, "Shall we?" she asks with a smile before leading the group down the hall.

The Forgotten, all Amnesia, mingle about in a large room. At the end of the room is a plain stone altar. On top of the altar is glass orb with black and white whisps shimmering around it. Inside the orb is a blue figure; completely curled up and twisted in a way no normal being is capable of withstanding. A sad face can be made out along what appears to be a top knot and a thin beard. Genie lets out a silent sigh. "Let our friend go!" a male voice rings out. The Forgotten make their way to the source. Sounds of battle catch his attention. Alas he cannot move within his prison; not even to turn around. Furthermore, this orb has sealed his powers; so he can't even shrink to make himself room. After several minutes' past, the battle seems to have come to an end.

Standing in the middle of the room Madoka, Donald, Goofy, and Sora are all back-to-back as they scan the room for any more Forgotten. With nothing but Genie's prison and the former King of Thieves and his partner walking towards the foursome, the pinkette turns to the glass orb. She gathers her magic; loading it onto her bow. She lets the arrow fly straight at Genie's prison. Upon contact there was a bright flash followed by an explosion of blue smoke.

*LAUGHTER AND MERRIMENT*

"I'M FREEEEEEE!" Genies celebrates as he flies around the room with his arms acting as his wings. He made several other sounds of excitement as performs all sorts of aerial tricks as the smoke catches up to the blue being. "Sora, Donald, Goofy, thanks a million!" cries out as he gathers the foursome into a huge hug; all with different expressions. Sora wears an embarrassed smile, Goofy has a surprised look, Madoka's is a mixture of the two, and Donald's face shows clear annoyance. He lets them go, spinning around before meeting up with Cassim and Iago, "It's also good to see Al's old man, and the red troublemaker."

"Hey!" Iago yells in an offended tone.

He circles the others again and tops in front of the pinkette, "By the way, I noticed you have one extra," He bows to her, "So how do you ma'am, I'm Genie of the lamp, minus the 'of the lamp' what is your name, miss?" he asks as he straightens back up.

Madoka couldn't help but give a large smile before bowing, "It's Madoka. I heard a lot about you from Sora."

"A pleasure to meet you Madoka," he offers a hand towards her before presenting a bouquet of pink flowers in a puff of smoke, "and thanks again for breaking me out of that stuffy orb!"

Madoka giggles as she accepts the bouquet, "Don't mention it. These are beautiful."

"Glad you like them. But wait there's more!" With a snap of his fingers; the bouquet disappears in a puff and pink birds fly from the smoke and circles around them. Madoka's smile, full of awe; fascinated by Genie's magic.

Now that introductions are out of the way, Goofy walks up to the magical being, "What happened, I thought you are going on vacation or something?"

"Actually, it was the first day. This masked girl appeared in front of me and before I knew what hit me, I got sucked into that glass orb. I tried everything I could think of, even poof myself out of there, but no luck. Some vacation this turned out to be."

"Actually, maybe you can help us?" Sora speaks up.

"No problemo!" Genie gleefully replies, "So what's the emergency?"

"Aladdin and Jasmine have been kicked out of the castle!" Donald starts off.

Goofy continues, "They're hiding from the guards who are under someone else's control."

"Not to mention there's a barrier preventing anyone from entering the palace," Sora finishes up.

The Genie looks at them slack jawed. "WHAT! Hang on Al! Genie to the rescue!" He declares with a fist in the air like a comic book superhero before disappearing in a puff of smoke.

Cassim shakes his head in amusement. "Well, at least I know my son is in good hands," he remarks before turning back to the entrance. "Give my son my regards when you next see him." He says as he waves a hand while leaving the room. Iago, on Cassim's shoulder, waves goodbye to Madoka and the others.

The pinkette turns to Sora, "So…what now?"

Sora shrugs before raising his right hand with all five fingers spread out. He slowly counts down with his fingers. When he reaches to one; he points off to the side a second later. On cue, Genie poofs at that very spot. "Sorry about leaving you guys behind, got too excited there," he apologizes; rubbing the back of his neck. "Especially considering that strange girl may still be nearby with another glass prison with my name on it."

"It's okay," Madoka reassures the blue guy. "The real problem though is going to be that barrier around the palace."

An idea pops into Sora's head, "Hey Genie, think you can get us in the palace?

Genie smiles, "No problem, just where you would you like to pop out at?"

"Well, um…" Sora trails off. Donald and Goofy make their owns sounds of contemplation

Madoka hums before her eyes widen in thought "I have an idea. Are there any places in the palace that no one else knows about except Aladdin and Jasmine?"

A spark of inspiration comes to the Genie, "Ooh, I got it. I'll take you to the hidden lair. Only Al and I know where it's at."

Donald crosses his arms, "Hidden lair?"

"Let me guess," Sora says with a small smile, "it was where Jafar did all his scheming at."

"Bingo! We have a winner!" Genie yells out along the sound of bells chiming for a jackpot winner. "As for the grand prize, one free trip for four to said destination. Now buckle up, sit back and enjoy your five second flight. Good luck!"

Genie snaps fingers and the party disappears in magical smoke.

In a dark room filled with gears on one side and a strange contraption in the middle of the room on top of a platform with winding stairs, Sora and the gang appear in a puff of blue smoke next to the base.

"So this is Jafar's lair," Sora says as he and the others look around.

"We better get going," Madoka states with a determined face.

"Right, let's go."

For the next few minutes, the party sneaks their way through the palace. Avoiding contact with the guards as well as several Amnesia. They manage to get outside and scale the exterior. Whenever they find their way blocked by guards, Madoka would use a sleep spell to send them off to dreamland. They finally make their way to a balcony overlooking the throne room. Kneeling in front of the throne is Razoul and several other guards. The party didn't pay too much to them, but rather the person they are looking for. Sitting on the throne, which is shaped with the head of a golden elephant, is a figure around Madoka's size in a lavender cloak with the hood up. "So that's an Abandoned, huh?" Sora whispers.

Goofy points towards the throne, "Hey, look over there," he whispers. Atop the throne is a glowing white orb.

"That orb," Madoka says with narrowed eyes, "do you think she's using that to manipulate the guards' memories?"

"Possibly," the Keyblade Master answers, "I don't really want to hurt the guards, seeing that they're not themselves."

"What's the plan?" Donald asks.

"Let's see," the young man responds as he looks around. He turns back to his friends, "Any ideas? Cause all I got is just charge right in."

"Is that really the best you can come up with," Donald sighs with disappointment.

Goofy on the other hand, scratches his head with a contemplative look. An idea strikes him; indicated by his raised eyes and ears. "You know, that wouldn't be a bad idea, Sora."

"Huh," man and duck let out at the same time. Goofy uses fingers to signal the others to huddle before the knight captain explains his plan in hushed whispers.

"And there is still no sign of him?" the Abandoned in the lavender cloak asks in a stern tone.

"We are still searching for him, my liege," Razoul answers.

"Is this really the best your men can do?"

"To be honest, we have sent patrols, wherever his pet was found, but we have yet to find any clues to his whereabouts." The Abandoned sighs in disappointment. "Why do you care so much for one street rat?"

"That is none of your concern. In any case, what about the two… guests that were at the gate yesterday?"

"Well, one of them is right here!" Sora announces, taking everyone by surprise, as he walks into the throne room. "Care to explain why you have these guys chasing my friends all over Agrabah?"

"You!" Razoul declares with his glare onto the Keyblade Master; brandishing his sword. "How did you get here?"

The Keyblade Master shrugs with a confident smile, "I have my friends to thank for that." Sora frowns as he focuses on the throne's current occupant. "As for you, your 'royal highness,'" he drawls on the last two words, "time for you to take a hike in the desert!" Sora swings his sword arm; summoning his Keyblade.

"Enough of this," the Abandoned states, shaking her head. She waves an arm towards the Keyblade Wielder, "Guards! Seize him!"

The guards, with Razoul leading them, charge at the Keyblade Master. Sora smirks, putting the Abandoned on edge. "Now!"

"Banzai!" Goofy roars as he spins towards the Abandoned from one of the side doors. She quickly raises a hand towards him before sensing magic from the opposite direction. She sees a fireball just in time before jumping off the throne. Donald unleashes more fire spells, forcing the Abandoned to jump several more times. Goofy, at the end of his spin, throws his shield like a frisbee. The Abandoned ducks before jumping forward, dodging Donald's lightning. She charges at the duck magician. Donald uses Aero but the Abandoned swerves around it. She gets in front of Donald, sweeps him off his feet with a low kick. Donald quacks as he hits the floor and again when the Abandoned steps on him. With a flick of her wrist, a lightning bolt strikes Goofy, screaming in his usual way.

"Donald, Goofy!" Sora yells as he and the guards look on.

"I'm okay!" Goofy, lying on the floor, assures; waving his hand.

"Fools," the Abandoned states. "Did you honestly think a surprise attack of such low caliber would work."

Donald snickers, drawing her attention. "If we're fools, that makes a nincompoop." The Abandoned tilts her head questioningly before straightening up, realizing that all of them were a diversion. From the balcony, Madoka shoots a magical arrow at the orb. The cloaked girl turns to the said orb just in time for the arrow to hit its mark; causing it to explode.

At that moment the guards feel woozy, grabbing their heads, before fainting onto the floor. At the same time, a crystalline barrier appears around the entire palace before shattering.

Sora makes his move. In an instant, he appears next to the cloaked usurper. Her body tenses before she jumps away from the Keyblade Master's strike. Sora casts Curaga to heal his fallen comrades. Madoka jumps from her perch and lands to Sora's right as Goofy joins them and Donald getting up on Sora's left. "Looks like the tables have turned," Sora states as he points the Keyblade at the lavender cloaked female after swinging it in dramatic fashion. "So I'll ask again, why did you kick out Aladdin and his family and take over Agrabah?"

The Abandoned growls, tightening her fist. She sighs as she loosens it and looks at the Keyblade Master, Magical Girl, and the anthropomorphic duo. "I recall I was a leader once," she states. "I thought if I take control of this city, that I will reclaim my identity." The group of four gives her varying faces of disbelief. "But, nothing came. So this experiment is nothing but a failure." She turns to the side and walks away before stopping. She turns her head sightly in their direction. "By the way, destroying that orb is a mistake. Good luck trying to survive."

On cue, large white wisps, emanating from where the orb was, begin to coalesce and take a solid form in front of the throne. The silver being is three times larger than Razoul, having a genie tail and black rings at its waist. Black bracelets adorn its wrists and the hands are clasped together with all fingers pointing upward. The Wishful Thinker wears a mask with a meditating expression and bears the Forgotten symbol tattooed across its chest.

The giant Forgotten summons three magical, wispy, orbs; one next to each of its bent elbows and one above its head. It separated its hands before pushing them forwards. All three orbs go wayward in different directions. The four are on guard before one of the orbs swings towards them. The four scatter, only for Donald to get absorbed by another orb after a let out a quack that got cut short. Goofy calls out for Donald. "Goofy! Look out!" Sora yells out. The knight captain yelps after turning around too late and is absorbed by another orb. The two orbs containing their friends to their original positions next to the elbows of the Wishful Thinker, which is back in its original pose. The third orb flies around before flying towards Madoka, who was keeping track of it. In that time, she had a magical arrow prepped and fires at the oncoming object. Her arrow hits a clear barrier, which flashes on impact. Surprise coats her face and at this point the orb is in front of her. "Madoka!" Sora yells out as he pushes her out of the way and gets absorbed instead.

"Sora!" Madoka cries out as the orb takes its place above the Forgotten. All three wispy orbs turn into crystals with Sora, Donald, and Goofy all clearly seen inside. Madoka picks herself up and readies her bow. "All right, then," she breathes out. "Let my friends go!"

#VENARI STRIGAS#

The Forgotten floats in place as Madoka waits to see what it will do next. The orb containing Goofy flashes several times, the pinkette tenses at the sight. The genie-like monster spreads its arms out before going into a wild spin towards Madoka. The Magical Girl runs to the left as it approaches from the same direction; avoiding it. After reaching the wall, she shoots at the spinning foe at the other side of the room. Her attacks had no effect on the monster. It stops in place, still spinning, a few seconds later before charging at her. The pinkette jumps on the wall behind her and bounces off. She sails over the charging Forgotten in her maneuver.

The Wishful Thinker stops spinning as Madoka lands in the middle of the throne room. Madoka launches a volley of magical arrows at the monster. The Forgotten appears unaffected from the Magical Girl's barrage. The orb containing Donald flashes several times. In response, his captor lowers its hands out towards the pinkette. In front of it, scores of black and white rockets appear in front of it. The rockets ignite when it pushes its hands forwards. The rockets move in all directions before turning towards Madoka. She dismisses her bow to use both hands to cast Reflectga. The rockets explode like fireworks, all in different colors, upon impacting Madoka's barrier. Once the literal fireworks were over; she shatters the barrier. She summons her weapon with one hand, and uses her free hand to gather the shards; becoming a ball of light surrounding her hand for her Reflectga Shot. She launches the spear-sized arrow of light. The arrow explodes in a bright light upon hitting the Wishful Thinker. The light fades for a few seconds, revealing the Forgotten hunching forward. She takes this chance to charge up a Magical Arrow before unleashing it. The Wishful Thinker manages to recover and blocks it with the palms of its hands.

The giant Forgotten hovers around the Madoka from a distance. This time the orb holding Sora flashes. The pinkette tenses, ready to move at a moment's notice. She rolls to the right as the Forgotten charges at her; its right fist stretches out in front of it. It comes at her five more times; Madoka barely dodging each attack. It turns to her with the same hand open outstretched. Streams of light gather before launching them. Madoka uses Reflectga again absorbing the monster's imitation of the Keyblade Wielder's Ragnarok. Once again, she uses the barrier to form the energy of her Reflectga Shot. The genie-like monster strafes to the side to avoid her shot and flies past her.

It turns around after stopping in front of the throne. It cups one hand under its chin with the other hand on its elbow. While it's 'thinking,' the orbs holding the trio captive begin to flash randomly. She can tell it's trying to confuse her but she has enough of the giant Forgotten using the techniques of her captured friends. She charges her magic for a powerful shot. Seconds later, she shoots at Goofy. The orb holding him captive shatters. Now free, Goofy spins before throwing his shield around the Forgotten's head and frees Donald. The magician uses Flare Force, launching a number of magical rockets at the last orb. Once the orb shatters; Sora hovers for a few seconds before launching at the Forgotten's head. The Keyblade Wielder hammers it with his signature weapon before bashing into its face multiple times before launching the giant being higher in the air. Madoka, who has been charging her magic, launches another spear of an arrow. The Magical Girl's power pierces through the Forgotten. With it arms stretched out front as if in pain, the Wishful Thinker dissolves into wisps, which eventually fade away. The original trio got together before turning to the Magical Girl. Donald and Goofy waving with both of their hands, while Sora gives her a thumbs up with his outstretched arm; all giving her wide, grateful smiles. The pinkette giggles happily in response.

Aladdin walks out of the throne room, where Madoka, Sora, Donald, and Goofy wait for him. "Razoul and the other guards are going to be all right," he informs.

The foursome let out a sigh of relief. "Thanks goodness," the Magical Girl breathes out. She directs her smile back to the former thief.

Aladdin gives them a humble smile, "Looks I'm indebted to you guys once again. It's because of you, Jasmine and the kids are finally relaxing at the royal chambers. More importantly, Agrabah is on its way back to normal. So, what's next for you guys?"

"Well," Sora starts off before looking at Madoka with a worried look. The Magical Girl understands and takes out her Force Gem, which is now a dull shade of pink. She looks back at the Keyblade Master with a somber smile. "First off, we'll take it easy for a bit. Then we need to find the gate to the next world."

The newly reinstated royal beams at this, "In that case, why don't you stay here as royal guests?" Aladdin laughs at the wide-eyed reaction from his friends. "Relax, Jasmine was the one who actually made that suggestion. She'd really appreciate it if you could stay a little bit."

"Well, if it's a request from her royal highness, how could we ever refuse?" Sora ends with a cheeky smile. Donald and Goofy chuckle for a bit.

Madoka gently smiles, "We'd be honored to stay here."

"Great, I'll let the guards and Jasmine know," with that, Aladdin walks away.

Good to see everything is getting back to normal and we can rest for a couple of days, Sora thought with a smile before his expression becomes more stoic as he looks out towards the city. He couldn't help but think about the Abandoned they encountered. Why did she think taking over Agrabah and become its leader would help her in reclaiming her identity? Just what is it that they truly want?

Madoka's Journal

Today has been a long day. I had the pleasure to meet Jiminy Cricket as we made camp here in the desert. He tells me how he is able to chronicle all of their journeys. And now I am a part of this journey. Even after how I met Kairi, I would not have dreamed of traveling to other worlds like her. Anyways, I thought I should write down a journal myself, just for me to remember all my all thoughts and feelings throughout this journey.

And to think, this all started as what was supposed to be a normal day in Mitakahira Town, only for me and my friends to fight off the Forgotten. After that it was one thing after another; us meeting the leader of the Abandoned, getting pulled into Radiant Garden, getting kidnapped by a giant, flying Forgotten, which lead me to meeting Sora, Donald, and Goofy. I was surprised that when the gate opened that Sora invited me to come along with him and the others. I thought about it. I didn't want to leave behind everyone else. But after listening to my heart, I just know that we'll be reunited somewhere down the road. With that in mind, I happily agreed to join them.

We first arrived in a world they were familiar with, Wonderland. That world is just too whacky for my tastes. Even though Sora warned me that to expect the unexpected, I just kind of gave up that there is any sense in that world. After we took care of the Forgotten at the garden; we walked around, looking for the next gate. Turns out the gate so happens to be at the Queen of Heart's throne room. She wasn't there though, more than likely went out to the garden. It was just as soon we crossed the gate; I could hear the Queen yelling and I stiffened up when I heard "off with their heads." Safe to say, we don't want to go back to that world anytime soon.

When we left the gate, we found ourselves in this scorching desert and it immediately took its toll on us. Thankfully, Donald casted a barrier around us that was able to dissipate the heat. We walked for hours as the sun began to set that we came across this oasis. Good thing too, Donald spent the last of his magic and the barrier faded. I'm just impressed how creative he does with his magic. Maybe I should ask him for some tips, since my magic is solely for fighting and I would love to have magic that can help everyone in certain situations.

Thankfully, the air around the oasis was cool so we don't have to worry about catching heatstroke. Then by fate or luck, we came across a Moogle store. His biggest item were desert charms, meant to keep us cool in the day and warm at night. I have to say, this should make our journey easier in the desert. After learning that the closest city is a place called Agrabah, the guys were all excited. But it was funny that they soon deflated when they heard that it would take a couple more days to reach it. Honestly, I wish we could get their faster, but I could use the break. My Force Gem has been getting very dark lately. Sora reassured me if that there is trouble on the way, that I should leave the fighting to him. Well, here's to hoping that we don't get into any fights at all until we get there.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Hope that you all enjoyed that, including the Madoka's Journal bit. To be honest, I couldn't come up with a Keyblade Form representing Agrabah for Sora to use. I was thinking about him using dual guns, which would be shaped like genie lamps but I couldn't find a place for them anywhere. I might have put them in the battles that were 'skipped over' but I just don't have much imagination, or patience, to make room for all of the minor battles.

I also thought of Aladdin jumping in for the world boss, but I just didn't want to drag out the battle after Madoka freed everyone (or just starting the chain that frees everyone). Besides I think that I would have a chapter or two for the Magical Girls to shine on the Kingdom Hearts stage.

Also apologies if I wasn't accurate with Cassim's description, I just don't know what some of the garments he's wearing are actually called. Appreciate it, if someone can point out what he's wearing called. Sometimes it's a hassle to find the terms regarding clothes, especially when my searching does not find the actual terms I'm looking for.

It may have taken nearly a year to complete this chapter, but I would rather have a fully written and detailed chapter than make something half-baked, especially when I don't feel like writing. I will be making progress reports on the next chapter. Until the next chapter, stay healthy and stay safe.
