Illya was not sure of what she had just listened to, but there was one thing that she had to say.

"That sounds fake."

The shock manifested by the one known as Tohsaka Rin was quite tasty to an extent, but overall the young girl had to say that this new 'situation' didn't feel right. Sure, Magical Girls were cool, but her tragic and unplanned discovery of Madoka had severely crippled her capacity to accept this sort of powers came through cheap means.

Ruby had the honesty to admit the full process and… it was confusing. The energy she used was 'harnessed' by the waste disposed by other realities. And all of this was possible without any major repercussions elsewhere.

She may be a lil' otaku, but the young Einzbern was aware that some deep logics were meant to be absolutely confusing if not outright irritating to try and understand. Despite that, Illya decided to trust Ruby… by putting a leash on her.

"Come on! It's not that bad."

"We are not doing anything lewd so… rapid transformations from now on!"

From what Illya got through her early interactions with the Kaleidostick, she could tell Ruby was quite the bold and depraved one. Yet, despite those shortcomings, she was still as hooked to magical girls as Illya was which made their partnership even more reasonable in the long run.

And her first meeting with Rin, who was meant to be the previous user of the stick, confirmed that it was best for Ruby to stay with her. It wasn't like she found herself superior to the older female, but Illya found Rin to be too… competitive about it. Ruby had explained her side of the story on why she left the 'Magus', and the tale fit too perfectly with her cocky attitude.

"It's not fake! I-I mean, I don't want to sound too excessive with this but-"

"You inflated the fact that you had it under control during the fall into the pool and then you tried to shift the blame on Ruby-chan," Illya interjected flatly. "That's quite lame and fake. Sure, Ruby-chan is a pervert, but that doesn't mean she is a liar."

"Yes! I am not a liar!"

Nonetheless, these small bumps didn't stop Ruby from introducing Rin as a somewhat reliable source of wisdom when it came to the use of the Kaleidoscope's might. To Illya, this was… quite unnecessary. For a very good reason.

After all, she had tried out some things with Ruby and she could pretty much create anything she wanted within some specific limitations. To be more precise, Illya needed to know of the thing she wanted in its details, have said details in mind as she willed those within reality.

So, as Rin decided to 'hurl' her at the first trouble at hand, Illya more than happily followed that advice and… she was bestowed with an opponent no normal magical girl should be dealing with. A speedy melee fighter.

The plum-haired woman that was blindfolded but still capable of seeing her approach moved quite swiftly, and her choice of chains meant that she was a close-quarters specialist. Since Magical Girls were, in most part, limited to long-ranged attacks, this sort of foes was a problem.

But not to Illya as she had two things that made her effective in all sort of ranges: 1) The capacity to pretty much conjure anything she needed through Ruby and 2) Sensei's mindset deeply ingrained with her sense of logic.

Never pick an opponent that is too much for you to handle in a fair fight- rather, make them smaller than you by putting them in a bad spot.

Rin had taken shelter by some bushes, telling her to simply beat her opponent. Maybe she thought that Illya would have failed this plan but… Illya was ready for a swift victory.

Conjuring two spheres of energy, Illya caught the full attention of her opponent. The woman easily dodged the small attacks, bolting towards Illya while chains rattled behind her. A smile appeared on 'Rider's face, but it was brief as she noticed this was all a silly trap way too late.

"Yare Yare… Dawa."

Rider had to pause as something suddenly manifested between her and her target. Her gaze shifted upward and she paled considerably as the woman was witnessing quite the monstrosity. Like a ghost, the upper body of a muscular pink entity manifested. Its head was one of a 'cute bunny' yet its eyes betrayed not much but… a desire to inflict painful justice.

"Go forth, [Pink Usagi]!"

Illya's proclamation was the last thing Rider had to hear. Before she could dart away from the monstrous being's reach, her body found itself barraged by a decimation of punches that moved at an unnatural pace.

"OraOraOraOraOraOraORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORA- ORAH!"

The bizarre masculine voice that followed these hits only made the horrendous battering even more humiliating than anything the Servant had expected out of it. The last punch sent her flying for a while, but ultimately she had to come down and 'detonate' once impacting on the ground.

Her body was shattered, leaving behind a 'Card' for Illya to retrieve and gave a thoughtful look about.

"So, they don't die and become cards?"

"Yep."

"...That's so Cardcaptor Sakura..."

Ruby giggled at the reference. "Something like that, yes. And it seems like we are not alone anymore."

That last comment confused Illya for a moment, then the girl picked up that someone was approaching and… she glanced at the fellow young girl. Dark hair, amber eyes and… a flat look on her face.

"How did you do that?"

"...I just willed something that I have seen on the TV."

The odd girl nodded. "I see… So, you have to will them… how?"

"Miyu-sama, maybe you should introduce yourself first."

Another nod. "Hai. I am Miyu."

"Illya. It's nice to meet you, Miyu-chan."

She looked quite pretty and… was that a tiny blush?

"Likewise."

"Ne, Sapphire… did you catch yourself a loner?"

"Miyu's situation is quite complicated, sister."

Ruby hummed. "Is she going to be like Luvia?"

"I believe not," Sapphire assured. "Is yours akin to Rin?"

"I am not Rin and I refuse to be compared to her," Illya replied dully, the blue-colored Kaleidostick 'nodding' at that assessment. "Still… I don't want to start any trouble with you, Miyu-chan. We are in the same boat after all and I was taught to be respectful of people I have to work with."

Miyu offered a tiny shy smile. "I agree."

But as they were slowly building an understanding, said bond… increased a bit when their combined attention was claimed by the loud clash between Rin and a blonde that Illya was sure was meant to be Miyu's mentor. From their mutually annoyed reaction, it was clear that both were not willing to pursue that path and… then Illya frowned at a figure that walked up to the two older girls and smacked the back of their heads

Despite how dark it was, Illya was able to easily recognize the man and she gasped.

"Sensei!?"

For the first time after discovering Ruby, Illya was shocked by the fact that her beloved Sensei was somewhat tied to this whole mess!

AN

Poor Illya! And Poor Miyu as she may end up getting hit by her canon feelings for Illya and the same wave of 'admiration' Illya feels towards John. This is only going to be more interesting.

Also, quite important: As of today, March 22, the router that I use decided to commit Sudoku and I can't use the internet as I would normally. This chapter will be uploaded via phone's data mobile and this will be the situation for this very day and… the ones between now and Day 25. So yeah, I may end up uploading slower than usual due to this.
