Serena POV

I wake up with an excruciating headache and dry mouth. I roll over to my side and realise I'm in my hotel room. How did I get here? I start to sit up and in a chair in the corner asleep is Brie. She hears my movements and her eyes open. They flicker and land on me. "Rena." she whispers.

"Hi." I whisper.

She makes her way over to my bed and sits down next to me. "How are you feeling?"

I start tearing up. "Brie, I'm so sorry." I cry.

She immediately scoots in next to me and hugs me. "Hey, hey it's okay. I know you didn't mean those things you said last night."

"I was so rude to you."

"You were, but I forgive you, but right now I don't want you to worry about that, you need to focus on getting help."

"I truly am so sorry. All you have done is try to help me and I throw that right back in your face."

"Rena, it's okay. I know you have so much on your plate right now, you being sorry isn't something that I want you to worry about. I know you, you wouldn't want to hurt anyone."

"I was just so hurt, I lost it."

"I know and that is why I think you should take the week off." She suggests. "Go home, reset and next week come back and forget everything that's happened."

"I think you're right."

"You know it." she grins.

"How did you find me?"

"We followed your phone."

My eyes go wide. "Oh."

"You were in a bad shape last night." she whispers. "But when we found you at your dads grave you were passed out."

"How'd you get me back?"

"The guys helped." She answers. "Including Colby."

As soon as I hear his name tears start to form again. "Why would he help me? He said those things to me."

"Because deep down he knew you were right." She replies. "He was hurting Serena, you just told him that his fiance was cheating, and it came from you, he was confused and he lashed out." She adds. "But I want you to know he feels horrible. But Serena, I don't want you to worry about that until you have helped yourself."

I nod. "Maybe you're right."

"Get some rest, i'll touch base with you over the next week."

After my breakdown I went straight home and for the week I couldn't focus. I was tired, I was angry, I was confused and most of all I was losing it. So I did the one thing I promised myself I would never do again, I turned to drugs, the only way I knew how to fix how I felt.

I started off with rest of my prescribed pills but then I went to the harder stuff and now after a week of taking lines to ease my pain I feel at ease, but deep down I know I'm not.

I walk into the locker room and the girls seem shocked to see me so happy. "Morning." I greet with a smile.

"Morning." Nicole says confused.

"How do you feel today?" Brie asks.

"I feel so much better." I lie.

"That's good to hear." Nattie responds.

"I took your advice and used the past week to re-group, and now that I have, nothing is going to hold me back." I declare. "I can solely focus on Battleground and being the best damn wrestler I can be."

"That's good to hear but as long as you're okay." Brie responds.

"I'm more than okay, I'm perfect." I lie and leave the room.

Nattie POV

"There is no way she can be that happy after a week." I say the room once she's left.

"What do you mean?" Ariane asks.

"She's lying to us about something and I intend to find out, because whatever she's doing is making things worse."

"Let's just hope that whatever she's doing isn't going to kill her." Nicole adds.

"We just have to keep an eye on her then." I finish.

Serena POV

After I leave the locker room I venture to catering and spot Nick. "Hey showoff." I greet.

He laughs hugging me. "Someones happy."

I grin. "I am."

"You doing okay?"

"Perfect." I grin and walk off and go to turn and bump into Jon, Joe and Colby who I haven't seen or talked to since my breakdown. "Oh hi."

Instantly memories of that awful night come back and they look at me concerned. "Hi." Joe greets cautiously.

"Hi." I repeat.

"You look happy." Jon notices.

"That's because I am." I lie trying not to glance at Colby.

"You doing okay?" Joe asks.

I take a breath. "I'm fine. Everyone needs to stop worrying." I chuckle. "I can take care of myself."

"Doesn't look that way." Jon comments.

I instantly let me walls up. "Look I appreciate the concern but I'm fine."

"Should you be at work?" Colby finally asks.

I turn to face him for the first time. "Of course I should be here." I scoff. "Not that it's any of your concern, considering I'm a lying bitch." I retort and Colby gasps. "I'm here to wrestle and thats it. Now if you excuse me I have places to be."

Colby POV

I watch Serena walk away and my guilt worsens. "There is no way she's ready to be back." I comment.

"She is definitely on something." Jon mentions.

"What, do you mean drugs?" Joe questions.

Jon nods. "Definitely. Her eyes are blood shot, her nose was clogged, she was overly happily two seconds ago and the last we saw her she was passed out."

"She wouldn't do that, she wouldn't risk her career." I deny.

"At this rate I don't think she cares."

"Did I do this to her?" I ask as that's all I've been thinking about all week.

"Yes and no." Jon answers. "She has a lot of issues she needs to work on, it just took you to say something that lit the fuse."

"What do we do?" Joe asks.

"We need to talk to the girls." Jon responds. "If that doesn't work, we tell Stephanie, and they'll get her the help she needs."

Serena POV

I quickly get away from the guys and I grab my bag and head to the bathroom. I check to make sure no one is there and once the coast is clear, I enter a stall and fish out my cocaine. I quickly do a line and clean up my mess. I walk out of the stall and clean up my face, I put some eye drops in and I leave.

I immediately head to hair and make up and find Amy. "Hey girl." I greet.

"What's happening?" Amy asks.

"I have a contract signing with Brie."

"Let's get you ready then."

Once I'm ready I have a look at myself in the mirror and love the final result. My hair is straight, and for my make up I've gone for a blue smokey eye. I put on a light blue skater dress and beige heels.

I make my way back to the locker room and just as I'm about to walk in I overhear people talking. "Have you ladies noticed anything wrong with Serena?" Jon asks.

"We have, she's angry one minute, sad the next, happy, it's not right." Nattie mentions.

"We think it's drugs." Colby alerts.

My heart sinks, but I shake off the worry and grin, I have to show them I'm fine. "No." Nattie gasps. "She wouldn't do that."

"You said it yourself, she's been acting weird." he mentions. "The last time you saw her she was an emotional wreck, and today she's happy, to happy, it's got to be something."

I've heard enough and decide to break up the conversation. I walk into the locker room and everyone freezes. "Hey." I greet casually.

"Where have you been?" Nicole questions.

"Getting ready, we do have a show to do."

"You've been gone a while." Brie chimes in.

I smirk. "Perfection takes time."

Everyone in the room gasps. "Wow that was rude." Eva says aloud.

I bend over and pick up my title and slowly turn back towards Eva. I smirk giving her a once over. "Oh Eva you're here." I address. "I'd assume you'd be training trying to get better."

She glares. "I was but then we had a flight to catch."

"If you say so." I laugh and finally notice the guys. "Oh hey I didn't see you there. What's happening?"

"We just had to ask the girls something." Jon answers.

"Not about me?"

"Not everything is about you?" Eva growls.

"Wow, Eva that's was hurtful." I respond dramatically. "You know my gut instinct was right about you."

"And what was that?"

"That you were a bitch that stepped on people when they are down." I answer. "I chose to be nice to you because that's who I am, and then look what happens, I get a push and you're stuck on the sidelines." I continue as I step closer to her. "You must hate not being in the limelight. Is that why you took those elicit photo's before you arrived here?" I ask and everyone in the room gasps.

"How did you know about that?" She asks embarrassed.

"The internet, one google search and bam." I reply making an explosion effect with my hands. "Now, Brie are you ready we have some lines to go over?"

"Ah yeah." Brie answers.

"Well come on." I order and we leave as everyone in the room is left speechless.

The show goes off without a hitch. The contract signing went great, we both said some truths and before we new it, we signed the contract and were shaking hands.

I leave the arena later that night with a pip to my step. "The stuff you said about Eva you shouldn't have said that." Brie addresses.

I stop and turn to face her. "All I said was the truth, if that makes me a bitch so be it." I defend my actions.

"You seem to have had an attitude change."

"I don't like people walking all over me. I've told everyone here from day one I tell you how it is, even if people don't want to hear it." I respond. "So when one minor breakdown happens you think I am off the rails, well I'm not, so you can stop worrying."

"I don't think we can."

"Then you'll be waiting around a long time because I'm fine." I lie. "I hate to end this conversation but I have a long drive."

"Where are you going?" Brie questions.

"I'm going to see my mum."

"Oh."

"Where did you think I was going?"

"Don't worry about it, have a good time."

Brie POV

"Did you get anything from her?" Nicole asks as I walk back to the locker room.

"No, she wasn't budging, I even stuck up for Eva." I respond.

"What did she do?" Nattie asks.

"She defended herself and left."

"Where's she going?" Colby asks.

"She's heading to Miami." I answer.

"What's in Miami?"

"Her mum."

"Drugs." Jon adds.

"What do we do now?" Colby asks.

"Before we confront her we have to find the evidence first." Jon answers.

"We won't be able to she always has her bags." Nikki responds.

"Not when she's getting her gear." Colby reminds us.

"So that's when we look." Nattie responds.

"This is for her own good, she needs to realise that what she's doing is doing more damaging." I reiterate.

"And to do that we need to be hard on her." Jon advises.

"Alright let's do it."

Serena POV

After I leave the arena I head straight home to get some things. Once I'm finished packing I decide to ring my mum to inform her of the changes to my schedule. "Hey." I greet as she answers.

"Serena hi, are you okay?" She asks.

"Yeah I'm great. I just wanted to let you know that I have the week off and I'll be driving to Miami tomorrow."

"That's great, I can't wait to see you."

"Me too. I can finally meet Nick and Eliza."

"Are you doing okay?"

I sigh. "I really need to talk you.

"Is it bad?"

"I, I just need you."

"Okay, come straight down and we can talk then."

The next day I get up early and make my way to the gym. After my workout I head back to my apartment and get ready for the day. Once I'm packed and ready to go, I load my rental car up and set off towards Miami.

I eventually arrive at my mum's place and once I'm at a complete stop I take a good look at the outside of the house. It's a small one story house, which extends backwards. It has a white picket fence, a two car driveway, the front door is painted red and it has a walkway that goes straight up to the front steps.

I get out of the car and make my way to the front door. I knock nervously and hear footsteps walking from the other side. It slowly opens and my mum's face appears. "Hi." I greet smiling.

"Hey baby girl come in." she welcomes hugging me tightly. I step inside and take off my shoes. "Would you like anything to drink?"

"Water please."

She gets me a glass and we sit down in the lounge. "How have you been?"

"I'll explain everything later, but first how's wedding planning going?"

"It's going well."

"Have you set a date?"

"November 30th."

"Winter wedding."

"It's actually a destination wedding, we're going to Hawaii and I wanted to give you this." she says handing me an envelope.

I open it and inside is a beautifully decorated wedding invitation. I smile. "Of course I'll be there, I'll have to ask for some time off work, but I wouldn't miss it."

"Good." She smiles. "Now tell me what has got you so upset?"

I take a breath. "I have a few things going on and it's finally taken it's toll on me." I admit.

"Tell me."

"To start with everything was great, things were going smoothly but over time one of my colleagues started following me around and turning up wherever I went, he was harassing me."

"Who?"

"Randy Orton."

"Was he stalking?"

"I wouldn't call it stalking but he was harassing me." I explain. "He just couldn't take it that I wasn't interested in him, but I ended up reporting him."

"And has he stopped since then?"

"Yes I haven't had to worry about him."

"What else is going on? I can see your mind is going 100 miles an hour."

"I have a stalker." I announce.

"You have a what?"

"About a month after being on the main roster, I started receiving anonymous gifts and letters." I explain. "I would receive them at work, at my old apartment, and they started showing up at whatever town I was in."

"Did you find out who it was?"

"Yes, it's Adam Bright."

"Lilly's older brother?" She questions.

I nod. "Yes."

"Why?"

"I don't know. He hasnt been caught yet, but the last time he sent me something was the week before Money in the Bank."

"What did he send you?"

"A box of live cockroaches."

She hugs me. "I'm so sorry I wasn't there."

"You couldnt have done anything."

"Has he sent you anything or done anything else since then?"

"We think he tried to blow up a car that the Bella's and I were in."

"He tried to what?" She shrieks.

"We don't know if he did it yet, but it's very much likely he did."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't want you to worry."

"I know we only just started having a relationship again, but I'm your mother I need to know this."

"From now on if something happens I'll tell you." I promise.

"How has this made you feel?" She asks.

"I haven't been doing well." I confess. "That's not all, you know how you asked me if I liked someone?"

She nods. "Yes."

"I do. I really like someone but he's in a relationship."

"And knowing you, you'd never be the other woman."

"When I first met his girlfriend I knew she was trouble. She would send me dirty looks, try to make fun of me, anything to get me down."

"How does this guy feel about you?"

"I think he likes me or liked me."

"Did something happen?" She asks.

"Last week I saw his girlfriend flirting with Randy Orton."

"The same Randy that's been harassing you?"

"Yes. I decided to follow them just to make sure that I wasn't just seeing things, but I saw them go into a private room."

"What happened after that?"

"I took a photo as evidence and I showed it to one of his best friends."

"What did he do?"

"He told me not to tell him."

"You told him."

I nod and tears start to form. "I couldn't lie to him, not about this."

"And when you showed him, he didn't believe you did he?"

"He thought I was trying to break up his relationship and he told me they were engaged."

"No wonder you were so upset on the phone."

"I didn't know what to do, I thought I was doing the right thing."

"Hey, you did nothing wrong here." She reassures.

"My work colleagues don't seem to think so, they think I'm going crazy."

"I'd be going crazy if I had these things going on."

"I couldn't handle it."

"What did you do?"

"I got obliterated." I confess.

"How bad?"

"They found me at dads grave."

"Oh Serena."

"I took last week off to re-group but I feel broken."

"You've gone through a lot honey."

"I just need you."

She pulls me towards her and hugs me. "I'm right here." she whispers and kisses my head. "What happened after you told this guy what happened?"

"I ran, I couldn't face him, I still can't."

"I think when you're ready you should talk to him." She suggests.

"I don't think I can right now."

"I didn't mean right now, I meant down the line."

"Was I doing the right thing telling him?"

"The situation you were in was hard, even if you didn't know and he found out you knew, he would've been angry."

"Why do you think that?"

"It's obvious he has feelings for you."

I look at her confused. "How would you know that?"

"Because someone only lashes out at someone that they care about."

I let that sink in. "Can we not talk about this anymore please?"

"Sure."

"I wish dad was here." I whisper.

She holds me tightly. "He's always with you."

"He would of told me to get my act together. He would have told me to grow up and move on."

"And he would have had a nice talk with Randy and Adam."

"Nice talk, he would have shot them." I laugh. "Do you miss him?"

She nods. "Everyday. He'll always be the love of my life, but Nick's closed that hole in my heart."

"As long as you're happy, that's all I wish for you."

We end up holding each other and talking for another hour before we hear the garage door open. "That must be Nick." Mum says excitedly. I stand up from the couch and see a door open and a tall good looking middle aged man walks in the hallway.

My mum walks over to to him and greets him with a kiss. I look behind him and notice a little girl with light blonde hair hiding behind his leg. "Nick, I want you to meet my daughter Serena, Serena this is Nick."

I walk up to him with a smile and shake his hand. "Nice to finally meet you." I greet.

"Likewise." he retorts and turns to face Eliza. "Eliza, I want you to meet Serena, Serena meet Eliza."

"It's Sarah." Eliza squeals.

I kneel down to her level with a smile. "I'm guessing you're a fan huh?" I ask her. She nods enthusiastically. "Let me tell you a little secret. My real name is Serena, but when I'm on screen or in the ring I'm Sarah, but you can call me whatever you like."

She smiles. "You're so pretty."

I laugh. "No you're pretty."

"What have we missed?" Nick asks us.

"She only got here a while ago, we were just catching up, but I was about to start dinner." Mum replies.

"Great I'm starving."

"Serena will be staying with us until she has to leave for the hotel on Saturday."

"I hope that's okay." I chime in.

"No problem we have plenty of room." he assures and turns to Eliza. "Eliza can you show Serena the guest bedroom?"

Eliza takes my hand and walks me down a corridor. "Dinner will be in a little bit, I'll call you when it's ready." Mum yells.

Eliza opens a door which reveals a guest bedroom. I enter the room and take a look around. Inside is a double bed, a small bed side table with a lamp on it and a built in wardrobe. I take a seat on the bed and Eliza watches me eagerly. "I heard you got an award at school." I mention.

"For spelling." She confirms proudly.

"So you're a good speller then?"

She nods. "Mum and Dad said we might be able to see you wrestle on Sunday?"

"Did they? Would you like to go?"

She nods. "I would love to. And I have a shirt of yours too." She expresses.

"Can I see it?" I ask. She nods and pulls me out of the room and into hers. She dives into her wardrobe and pulls out my new shirt. "Do you want me to sign it for you so you can wear it on Sunday?"

"Yes please!" she answers jumping up and down. She is so cute!

I grab a marker and sign it: Dear Eliza, You are adorable. I'm so excited that we are going to be sisters. Love Sarah xx

She smiles as I show her and she hugs me. "Thank you." she shouts excitedly and bolts out of the room. "Mummy, daddy, look what Serena signed." she squeals showing them the shirt.

"Thank you." Nick thanks me.

"No problem." I smile.

"Dinner is almost ready, would you please set the table?" Mum asks me.

"Of course."

"So Nick how did you propose to my mother?" I ask curiously.

They both share a look. "We took a trip to Disney World and and I got Eliza and Karen some popcorn. As she was devouring the pop corn I hid it in the box. She found it and when she looked up I was bent down on one knee." he responds. "I got Eliza to film it and we were right in front of the castle, people stopped and cheered when she said yes."

"It Sounds like it was a beautiful moment." I comment.

"It was." They agree.

After dinner I head back to my room to see if there are any underground party's on tonight. I inform my mother that friends of mine are in town and they have invited me out.

I leave the house in a white dress, but as soon as I exit the house I find a public restroom to change my whole appearance. I change into a black wig with a hat and put on unidentifiable make-up and contacts in so no one would recognise me.

I walk up to the entrance of the underground club and send the security guards a flirty smile and they let me in without checking my ID. I walk inside and there are heaps of people around. There's a corner where people are doing lines. A main bar in the middle of the club and a dance floor with bodies dancing and grinding on each other.

I make my way to the bar and order a couple shots. Whilst I wait for my drinks, a guy with a long tattoo sleeve on his right arm approaches me. "What's a girl like you doing in a place like this?" He asks flirting.

"Looks can be deceiving." I retort.

"Want to dance?" The guys asks.

I take my shot and smirk. "Lead the way."

We are currently on the dance floor grinding against each other. The alcohol is working it's affect and I'm loving it. "Care for something a little more fun?" He whispers.

"I was hoping you'd ask." I say with a smirk. He leads me to a corner and shakes a couple guys hands who are eyeing me up. I smile faintly and take a seat and sets up a line for me and I grab the rolled up bill and sniff the white line until it's gone. "Now that's more like it."

"Travis." He introduces.

"Megan." I lie.

"Another dance?"

I smile and flutter my eyes. "Why not."

After some more dancing I head to the bathroom to check myself, it's time to head home as it's after 2 and I need some sleep. "Heading off?" Travis asks.

"Yeah but I was wondering, do you have any more?"

He tilts his head to the side. "Maybe."

I take a couple hundred dollar bills from my bra. "Mind if I buy some?" I ask.

His eyes nearly pop out of his head. "Sure." he accepts and walks off. Several minutes later he comes back with several bags. "Come back any time."

"I'm only here for the night but I had a great time." I farewell and walk out of the club.

The next morning I'm woken to the smell of bacon and pancakes. I look at myself and see my eyes are blood shot and my pupils are small. I quickly put some make up on and squirt some drops into my eyes to look presentable. I walk out of my room and sit at the bench watching my mum cook. "Morning." I greet.

"Hi, you look lovely, what time did you get in?" She asks.

"I'm glad you had a good time and didn't over do it." .

"Eliza is cute." I mention changing the topic.

"She is and she's taken a liking to you."

"I've never had a sibling before, so it feels good, someone that I can spoil." I joke. "Nick is very sweet, I'm glad your happy."

"Thank you." she smiles. "What time are you leaving for the hotel?"

"When the other ladies get here, but I want to give you these." I say handing her the VIP passes. "These are the VIP tickets I got for you. These allow you to get backstage."

"Eliza is looking forward to it."

"I can't wait to show her off."

"She looks up to you, she went on and on about how pretty you are."

"She's going to be beautiful, you're going to have your hands full."

"Don't tell that to Nick." She jokes.

Once the day is over I say goodbye to mum, Nick and Eliza and head to the hotel. I arrive and coincidentally Nikki and Brie are arriving as I walk in. "Hey." I greet kindly.

"Hey. You look happy." Brie notices.

"I am. I got to meet Nick and Eliza."

"Are they nice?" Nicole asks.

"They are lovely." I confirm. "Nick is so sweet and he makes my mum happy and Eliza is a so freakin cute, they are coming tomorrow."

"Is this the first time your mum is going to see you wrestle?" Brie asks.

"Yes so I'm not losing." I joke.

They both laugh. "Bring it."
