A/N: Trigger warning.
Luka explained to Marinette his suspicions in the bedroom. He had mentioned that there was this Cosplayer of sorts that he meant at the mall but he thought nothing of it until now. He showed Marinette the photo of the Cosplayer and Emma.
"Do you think she's the future ChatNoir?" He asked choosing to omit the moment in which this mysterious woman called him "Papa."
"Its possible. But, I would think Bunnix would of appeared unless there's a time traveling Akuma that I'm not aware of. Although, Tikki has been acting odd since this morning."
Emma had pointed out that Tikki's head was twitching. Marinette had asked Tikki and she said it would go away with in 48 hours. "What if it's because there's two Ladybug Miraculouses in the same timeline?"
Both adults looked at Sass for answers. "Itsss happened before. Two Miraculousssesssss can exissst in the same time period but only the rabbit Miraculousss isss desssignned for thisss."
"Tikki said something about 48 hours does that mean anything?"
Sass went into the Miracle box forcing out Fluff, the rabbit kwami to answer questions he wasn't equipped too. Marinette repeated her questioned.
"Its the time they have to return or they'll risk damage to the timeline. I feel the presence of another me. As you see to mes that is met to be. Two bugs and two cats. Thats no good. Got to go catch and send them back to the future."
In this moment Marinette regretted letting Emma pick out movies for the Kwamis to watch. She would have them watch Star Wars, Back to the Future, Indiana Jones, Hunger Games, Die Hard, and any of their sequels. Some of the Kwamis picked up the slang from the movies and some complained that the movies were too violent.
Marinette put her head in het hand and let out a big sigh. Of course she had to deal with time travelers. Joys of being a Guardian that there was no breaks or maybe it was the universe paying her back for selfish choices.
"Should we deal with one problem at a time?" She asked as she stared at the pregnancy test box that Luka sat on the dresser. She picked up and headed to the bathroom. It was simple. She hadn't used one her first pregnancy so she followed the instructions meticulously.
She had to what 3 minutes for her answer.
She went back to Luka leaning her head on his shoulder. 'These were going to be a long three minutes' she thought as she started at the small screen.
"Luka, if it's positive there's something I have to tell you.." She fidgeted with the test that could easily pass a thermometer.
"I already know." He kissed the top of her head knowing that there was still a possibility that it could be his.
"I'm so sorry. I think something may have happened during that attack with Omission. It wasn't intentional I swear. I was wearing a men's shirt when I detransformed and know its not your's and-" She tooked a deep breath before continuing. She didn't want him to speak for fear of what he might say. "I think I did something with one of the models or... or..."
She knew ChatNoir was also a possibility. There was Ladybug and ChatNoir kissing plastered on every television. She had the small rendezvous on her couch but the idea of not remembering turned her skin. She was trying to get pass his old mistakes. But the question "What if ChatNoir wasn't hit with they forget-me-not ray?" crept into her mind. She shook her head. If ChatNoir knew her identity he would of shown up unless he was mad that she was this 'new' Ladybug.
She then thought about that night and how she did everything she could without out right objecting his advances. He had a rough day and she didn't think he could handle being alone let alone the word 'No'. She knew she should blame him for everything that happened but he was hurt blinded by emotions that when mixed together caused him to unintentionally hurt her.
Then he had the nerve to sneak into her house and beg her not to get married to the only man who hadn't abandoned her. That stuck by her side, that kept his promises, one that always returned. He respected her choices which was the very premise of showing love for another person and ChatNoir didn't.
He had a less then ideal excuse for an apology that Marinette believed ony for him to read the situation wrong. Although, she was attracted to him and there was clearly chemistry. He was not the guy for her if all he did was hurt her. She kept blurring the lines of what was okay, grey.
She wanted ChatNoir to be in Emma's life but it hurt when she realized that she would be better off without ChatNoir in her's. ChatNoir had been her friend, her companion for all those years as Ladybug but could she handle pretending to be okay with ChatNoir? She wanted to for the sake of her daughter.
Luka held Marinette's hand tightly knowing that ChatNoir gave her some undisclosed trauma. She had told him about it a few weeks after that incident happened. She didn't tell him all the details or the fact that it was ChatNoir. She played it off as if she had a one night stand with a stranger and he was a little rough. However, Luka knew that what ChatNoir... what Adrien did wasn't right.
"Marinette, no matter what I'm here for you."
"I don't deserve you." She wiped a tear from her eye with the sleeve of her sweater. She looked down at the test. Two lines. There were TWO lines. She looked at the key printed on the side of the test. Her heart sank. She want more kids but this was a little much. "I guess we are having a baby."
Luka coughed at her statement. He wanted to smile at the word 'We' but he couldn't not when guilt clutched his throat. He had invited the source of HER pain into THIER home. He cursed himself for being so inconsiderate.
"Are you okay?" She asked not expecting a coughing fit as his first reaction.
"Just... a.. little hoarse..."
"I'll go get you something to drink."
Luka grabbed her wrist unwilling to let her set foot in the living room for fear that she would tell Adrien. The two stared awkwardly at one another before Marinette broke their silence. "Why are you looking at me like that? Are you.. if you're not... if you don't want to stay I understand."
"I love you." He said releasing her arm as he didn't want to come off possessive unlike a certain blonde man. Of which called her, 'his Marinette' or 'his Ladybug.' The only term that Luka allowed himself to possessive about was love. As she was his love. "You're always worried about others. Be selfish at least for today."
She stood up and cupped his face into her hands and smiled at her fiancée. "I love you too, blueberry."
He knew she was trying to lighten the atmosphere but he was very particular about his hair. "I thought you weren't going to call me that anymore."
As there was a hair dying accident when Emma was around two which ended up with Luka having a full head of blue hair. Emma saw him and called him "Big booberry." Marinette laughed so hard that she thought she would never recover.
"But it suits you so well." She said as played with his hair that was now fading into a purplish hue. He needed to go to Juleka for a redye but he enjoyed irritating his sister as she proclaimed that purple was her color.
"Can I hold you?" He asked as just because they were engaged and had already been intimate didn't mean he had permission to touch her whenever he pleased.
"Of course you can." He gently wrapped his arms around her back and pulled her into a warm embrace. "Thank you."
"You don't have to keep thanking me for giving you the respect you deserve."
"If I didn't feel like throwing up I would give you a little reward."
"Any other circumstances I'd be offended."
