The Adventures of the Hope Squad

Season 1: Chapter 3: The Thunder

Harry found himself on an empty gray void. He didn't know how he ended up there, or how to get out.

"Hello, is anyone here?" he asked, expecting a sign of where to find the exit. But the only answer he received was the echo of his voice.

Seeing that he wouldn't receive any help, he decided to find an exit on his own.

He didn't even walk that much, because he was suddenly surrounded by a bunch of creepy statues that sprouted from the ground.

They all had problematic stares and seemed to be pointing to something right in front of the boy.

Harry saw that, right in front of him, there was a bird standing.

After approaching it, he felt like the statues wanted him to grab the animal.

He extended his arms, trying to follow what he was expected to do. The moment he touched the wings of the creature though, it turned into a weird goop that enveloped the boy.

As soon as it entered in contact with Harry, it turned into a Robin Costume. The Indigo Rebel, feeling suffocated by that goopy outfit, not being able of handling anymore, started to fight against it.

After many attempts, he managed to free himself of that shadowy monster. Even if it worked well for those statues, it didn't work for him.

"No!" the Indigo Rebel screamed, throwing the goop far away, scared that it could return and hurt him.

The statues, though, didn't take the answer that well. They turned their backs on him, except for one, that, even if she wanted to do something, she was bonded to another that wouldn't let her move.

The ground started to shake, and cracks started to appear, and Harry started to fall.

"Help me! Please!" he screamed, begging for anyone to save him from that fall.

But no one came, making the boy feel like he was left alone to deal with that.

When he thought there was no way out of that disaster, he saw three balloons approaching him. He extended his arm to grab them.

"Just a little bit… closer" he said during his attempts of saving himself.

It seemed like his efforts were not resulting in anything, until…

"Help!" Harry screamed, waking up in cold sweat. He could feel his heart beating fast.

Slowly, though, he felt more relaxed when he noticed he was inside of the portable lab.

"Sigh, it was only a nightmare" he said, feeling relief that the whole situation was only a nightmare.

The whole quiet atmosphere was interrupted by a gnawing noise coming from the outside.

The Indigo Rebel immediately tensed up at the possibility of having been found by the Lab.

So, he immediately prepared his blades of energy and went outside, knowing that there was no other option.

Outside, he immediately jumped into battle position, prepared for any conflict he could face.

But it didn't take him much to notice that he wasn't in danger, since the one causing the noise was a beaver.

"Sorry, little friend, but I can't risk losing my HQ at the time being" Harry said, gently pushing the animal away.

Now that he was outside and being able of having a clear view of his surrounding thanks to the sunlight, the Indigo Rebel decided that it was the right time to look around to get information on his new surroundings. It could be useful in an eventual combat with an experiment of the Green Light Lab.

Fortunately for him, that forest, even if it was far from a lovely forest from one of those enchanted fairytales, it was still not a dense one that he could easily get lost.

Since there was nothing that seemed to be important about the forest, and the fact he needed to plan what to do next quickly, Harry returned to the direction of his temporary base.

Once he returned, he took a closer and more attentive look at the sign that he saw on the night before.

"Hope Valley…" the young scientist said once again, trying to see if he could remember if he had ever heard anything about the town.

However, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't remember anything about a town named 'Hope Valley'.

Harry thought that this situation was weird, but, at least, now he had a clearer idea of what he what to do next.

Arriving back at his portable lab, he had to do three things: find the coordinates of the closest miraculous; find more information of his whereabouts; and eat breakfast.

While he transferred the coordinates of the computer on the portable lab, he decided to search more information about Hope Valley, while also eating his breakfast (yes, more nutritive goop).

"Let's see, 'Hope Valley, the town'" the boy said, while typing it on the search bar.

Finding it was not as hard as expected, but definitely not that easy either.

"Hope Valley is a small town located in the middle of the State of Pennsylvania" he said, starting to read its description.

The fact that place ended up being a small town didn't surprise him at all. He learned from the older scientists a long time ago that the Green Light Lab usually chose small towns as the places to build their labs, as a way to not drag attentions from other companies.

"Due to its smallness, it's quite rare to hear about this place. It holds the position of the 13th place on the top 15 ranking of smallest towns in the USA, only losing to towns such as Gravity Falls, Pleasentview, Veronaville, Crystal Cove, Three Pieced Island, and others" the Indigo Rebel read.

"It's only above the towns of Elmore and… Aberdale" Harry said, feeling a shiver down his spine.

The simple mention of that town held a large number of old memories. Memories that were too painful and that the Indigo Rebel quickly repelled by shaking his head to focus on his task at hand.

"Ok, now I know where I am, but where am I supposed to go?" asked Harry, opening the file with the coordinates. For his surprise though…

"It seems like some of them are in codes for the computer to decode later… but, at least, the closest one is already decoded!" the Indigo Rebel said, glad that at least one was already identifiable.

"And it's on this exact forest. Knowing the lab… I am sure it isn't coincidental…" Harry said, getting up from his chair.

"I might still not have enough resources yet to face the lab, but, knowing them, they must be already on their way to grab the miraculous" the Indigo Rebel said, leaving his hideout for his mission.

While this boy was doing this, though, another one was just starting his day on a place not that far from there…

On a dark bedroom, a blonde boy was sleeping in his bed. It seemed like an unending sleep, until the alarm started to ring.

The boy, out of angry of being woken up so abruptly, ended up punching the alarm with to much strength.

"Oh… sh*t" he said, noticing the fragments of what used to be his alarm on his hands and on his nightstand.

Well, there was no use crying over the spilled milk. It was annoying, but he probably would find a new one soon.

He got up from his bed and put a shirt that was nearby on.

"Let's go, Zak! Time to start the day!" Zak said leaving the room on a rush with a grin.

Zak's routine was not a hard one. Well, compared to Harry's, it was not hard.

He cooked himself breakfast, took care of his hygiene (not that greatly or frequently, but it happened).

Then, he went to the basement of his house. It was not a regular basement, because it was filled of quite some… unusual objects.

"Alright, let's see… the choker of seas is here" he said walking through a turquoise choker filled with pearls.

"The Gauntlet of the Shadows is here too" he said, this time walking through a purple gauntlet with the drawing of a skull.

"The Explosive Bracelet and the Mind Circlet here too" the boy said, looking at the two objects near one another.

"The Spinning Wheel of Dreams is in its place as usual…" he said, noticing that the fairytale object was also on its place.

He continued to walk and to see those artifacts until the moment he spotted the portrait of an elderly man with a serious expression on the wall.

Zak sighed at the memories of the man that was in the portrait, feeling relieve, nostalgia and also missing that man.

"Hi, gramps. Don't worry, I am taking care of everything" the boy said, pretending that his grandfather was hearing him through the portrait.

"Well, everything is on its place as usual. Now, it's time for punching!" Zak said clenching his fists.

Out of his House, Zak indeed started his punching time on a metal punching bag hanging on a three.

"Take that, you bunch of assholes with pointed noses!" the boy said, unleashing his anger of the photo on the punching bag with his punches.

What was in the photo to make him so anger, you might ask. Well, there is a reason this blonde boy had so many powers.

You see, Zak is not only the grandson of a hunter of magical treasures, but he was also a demigod. More specifically a demigod that is the son of Zeus.

But some small… issues of the past ended up leaving the boy with a bitter taste towards Greek entities.

That's why a photo of a painting of the Greek Pantheon filled him with so much violent motivation.

After some more punches, he managed to break the metal punching bag… once again.

"Nice…" he said while smirking, satisfied at the results. Soon after, it regenerated.

The silence of the surrounding was interrupted by the noise of a peculiar alarm.

"It seems like one of those skinny scientists are on my area again" the blonde boy said, using one of his hands to punch the palm of the other.

"Time for some Thunder" Zak said epically, while being covered by electricity.

He would end up having a surprise at how not threatening the intruder would end up being.

The area of the forest that led to the tiger miraculous seemed to be a bit denser than the one closer to the town, but Harry was focused on finding the magical jewel.

"Okay, according to the coordinates, the miraculous is somewhere around here. Well, that's what it seems like…" the Indigo Rebel said, noticing that the coordinates on the screen that was projected by his armor's wrist.

After a while, though, it stabilized, and all Harry needed to do was keep walking straight and he would soon arrive there.

"Since it will take a while to get there, I should see the data the Lab had on this miraculous" the Indigo rebel said, using another screen to see the data.

Harry knew a lot about the miraculous, mostly because of his mother, but there was a lot he didn't know about it, and there were lot of things that he had forgotten.

"The tiger miraculous is a complex jewel that is made of a wristlet and five small rings on each one of the fingers, all connected through chains. It has a magenta coloration, and its concept is 'Exaltation'. Its special power name is 'Collision' and allows its holder to give a massive energetic punch at its enemy. The past holder of this jewel was a superheroine that used the name 'Purple Tigress'. Her identity is unknown" the Indigo Rebel said, finally finishing the description.

Even if it had a lot of useful facts, there were still things that were missing, like the name of the tiger kwami.

Kwamis were small energy creatures that were like gods. They were materialized abstract concepts that were the responsible for giving powers to the holders of the miraculouses.

But, at least, Harry now knew what was the object that he was searching for.

When the Indigo Rebel finally stopped reading the description, he noticed he had walked a lot. Looking ahead, he saw a structure made of wood. On top of it, he could see the jewel he was looking for.

"It's actually here…" Harry said, feeling a bit surprised that he actually managed to find the object so easily.

Before he decided to approach it, though, he looked around to see if there was any sign of a Green Light Experiment. He sighed after noticing that they still weren't here.

The Indigo Rebel slowly approached it, feeling that it could have some defense system. That whole situation seemed too easy for him.

After all, his mother had spread the miraculouses in places she considered safe to make sure no one ever found them.

So, to make sure that he was safe, he decided to throw in the ground some small metal objects he had on his pockets. Luckily, none of them activated a trap or defense system.

"I am safe" he said, relieved that there were no apparent tricks. But, just to make sure, he continued to walk slowly in the object's direction.

"Okay, I just need to slowly… approach… my arms… to… it… and…" he said, slowly getting his hands closer to the miraculous.

"Done!" he said, finally grabbing it. When he tried to pull it, though, the jewel glowed. Once the glow faded, it revealed that it wasn't the actual miraculous, but a copy made of wood.

Besides this issue, there were strings behind the object that pulled it right back to its place.

"What?!" Harry asked, shocked at what happened. It seemed like his intuition was right, and there was a trap there.

He turned around to run away before anything bad could happen, but it was too late.

A bolt of electricity came from the sky and landed right in front of the boy, fortunately not close enough to hurt him.

"Well, well, well. Look what we got here" said the figure that came from the sky. It was a blonde boy on a superhero uniform filled with thunder symbols.

"One more of this nosy, skinny and b*tchy scientists" he continued, slowly approaching the Indigo Rebel, who also started to retreat slowly.

"This is not what it looks like! I am not the…" Harry tried to say. Thunder Boy, though, definitely wasn't interested in here, and decided to punch him.

The Indigo Rebel's rebel armor, in an act of reflex, created an energy shield to protect him. The demigod, though, didn't give up, and continued to punch the shield of energy.

"Wait… I… am… not… the… bad… guy" Harry said, being pushed backward by the attacks.

Eventually, Zak married to break the shield and pushed Harry in the process. Fortunately, thanks to his armor, he was not injured.

"I just want to talk" the Indigo Rebel said, knowing that it was the only way to explain the misunderstanding.

"Save it for someone who is stupid enough to believe on it" the blonde boy said, grabbing a tear nearby.

"Take that!" Zak said, throwing the tree in the Indigo Rebel's direction. Harry, to solve the problem, used his laser to cut the three in a half, protecting himself.

"Look, I am not the enemy! And they are probably arriving soon!" Harry screamed in despair, with no other ideas of how telling him that he wasn't a threat.

"What are you even talking about?" asked Thunder Boy, believing that all that he was saying was bullsh*t.

Before he could get any answers, though, the two boys heard sounds of tremors approaching. It was like something heavy was approaching them.

"We need to hide!" Harry said, knowing what it probably was.

"Why?" the blonde boy said, still not trusting the Indigo Rebel.

"Because…" Harry said, wanting to explain what could happen in a matter of seconds. Unfortunately, the source of the noise had finally arrived at the area.

It was a robotic rhino that used a gray armor with a green circle in its chest, and had his horns made of a golden metal.

The two boys got paralyzed of shock and horror. The Indigo Rebel felt scared to be so close to a lab experiment that could capture him, and the Demigod had never seen something like that before.

The moment the experiment got close enough to the fake miraculous, the circle on its chest began to glow, and the image of a scientist of the Green Ranking appeared.

"You found the Tiger Miraculous. Great. Now grab it and bring it to us" the scientist said through the device on the armor.

"Lime…" Harry said, recognizing who was the owner of the voice.

The Rhyno did as he was told and grabbed the object with his mouth. However, when he tried to pull it away, the same thing that happened to the Indigo Rebel happened to him.

"A trick! It must have been a scheme by that thunder troglodyte!" Lime said, angry because he knew who did that.

"Yeah, yeah, it was me. Now, can you take this bot out of my property before I break another one of your machines?" said Thunder Boy, with no patience for whatever the lab wanted to do.

The rhino, hearing the noise, immediately turned to look at the two boys.

However, even if the blonde boy expected that he would be the one they focus on, Lime got wide-eyed at the Indigo Rebel instead.

"Look if it isn't the Indigo Rebel himself. The one who caused so many problems. And it seems like he made an alliance with the troglodyte" Lime said at Harry, with a voice filled with rage and venom.

"Golden Rhino, new orders. Annihilate the Rebel from the Blue Ranking and his miserable ally too. That will be all" Lime said, finishing the transmission.

Golden Rhino, being made only to obey, approached the Indigo Rebel, got on his two hind legs and prepared to use his two frontier paws to stomp him with all his strength.

Fortunately for him, Thunder Boy got in the middle of the two and used his strength to keep the frontier paws of hurting him.

"What the f*ck have you done to annoy that lab so much?!" asked the blonde boy, not understanding why that lab was attacking one of its own scientists.

"It's a… long story" Harry said, knowing that it wasn't the right time to explain all that had happened on the last night.

Thunder Boy quickly clenched one of his fists and punched the Rhino's torso, making it retreat, and leaving it with a small dent.

"Not gonna lie, this one is harder than usual" said Zak, feeling slightly more pain than when he punched previous metal objects of the lab.

The battle, though, was far from ending. The Golden Rhino started spinning and charged at the two boys. Fortunately, they managed to avoid it.

"Let's see if he can handle some short circuit" the blonde boy said, charging some electricity on his fists.

"Wait, don't!" Harry said, knowing what would happen next. Thunder Boy didn't care about it and continued his attack.

However, it's horns attracted the electricity. The Blonde Boy furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, and the Indigo Rebel gulped in worry.

The Experiment stopped spinning, positioned himself firmly in the ground, and, with his horn, started to throw electric beams everywhere.

The blonde boy had no reason to worry, since he was immune to electricity, and Harry used his energy shields to protect himself.

Both, after defending themselves from the attack, fell into a large bush that could also be used as a hiding spot to make a strategy.

"That thing sent my lightnings back to us" Thunder Boy said, surprised by what the experiment could do.

"The Golden Rhino was made to stock energy and electricity to attack. If we don't do anything, it might even explode part of the forest!" Harry said, remembering the details of that project.

"What!" the blonde boy screamed in surprise. The Indigo Rebel covered his mouth so that the experiment didn't hear them.

"Look, I know you don't trust me, and I know you have your reasons, but we need to join forces to stop that experiment to destroy us and the forest and who knows what else" said the Indigo Rebel.

Thunder Boy sighed, but nodded, since he knew that he wouldn't be able of beating the Rhyno alone.

"Okay, but how we will beat him?" the blonde boy said, still not trusting the rebel.

"Don't worry, I think I already have a plan" Harry said, smirking. He then whispered something in Thunder Boy's ear.

"I hope it works" said the blonde boy, jumping from the bushes.

The rhino, out there, kept making chaos at the forest, destroying as many trees as possible.

"Hey, horned thing, let's hope you don't mind some holes!" said Thunder Boy on a provoking manner.

The experiment, focused in finishing his assignment, ran in the direction of the demigod. Before he could hit him, though, the blonde boy used his strength to punch the ground and create an enormous hole, where both fell.

"Come on, yellow horns! Show me what you can do!" said Thunder Boy, taunting the experiment.

The Golden Rhino, seeing red, stored some energy and charged at the demigod.

The blonde boy got himself steady on the ground and prepared his arms to what was about to go next.

When the experiment was about to attack Thunder Boy, he grabbed the rhino's head firmly, trying to keep him from moving.

"Your turn now, scientist!" said the demigod, struggling a bit with handling the golden experiment.

At hearing the signal, Harry appeared from above and landed on the rhino's back.

"Okay, time to find your energy panel" the Indigo Rebel whispered to himself while searching for where the panel was.

Once he did it, he used the lasers of his armor to open it, where he found lots of wires. He needed to cut all of them, so, he used his lasers to do so.

Meanwhile, the demigod noticed that the rhino started to glow and to heat up.

"Can you speed up over there? I am almost sure this thing is about to explode" the blonde boy, on a hurry to make sure he wouldn't be exploded.

"It will only take a while longer" the Indigo Rebel said, needing to keep focused to make sure he was doing things right.

Then, he stood quiet for an uncomfortable amount of time Thunder Boy started to grit his teeth, since he started to struggle more and more at keeping the experiment from moving.

The fact he was getting more and more hot, and to glow even brighter, made the blonde boy doubt how much more time he could handle it.

But he couldn't fail, or else, who knew how much destruction it would lead to? It might destroy the forest he was raised in, part of his house and his family's basement and who knew what else.

"Done!" said Harry, finally cutting the main and last wire of the bunch. The Golden Rhino stopped glowing, his eyes closed, and he collapsed to the floor.

The Demigod sighed and relaxed, relived that the forest wouldn't be destroyed. The Indigo Rebel dismounted from the experiment and landed in the ground.

"We did it. We actually did it!" Thunder Boy said, filled with joy for their victory.

"Told you the plan would work" Harry said, also glad that the conflict was over. Then, both boys fist bumped on an almost brotherly gesture.

"Look, I know you have your reasons to hate your lab, and I can't judge you for that, I hate them too. But I swear that my search for the Tiger Miraculous has a good motive" the Indigo Rebel said, taking his chance to finally explain his true motives.

"So, I will do whatever I need to prove you I am not the bad guy in this situation" said Harry, knowing that the truth was the only way of convincing the demigod of giving him the tiger miraculous.

The blonde boy smirked, having an idea of what to do. He clenched his fists and bumped them into each other. Electricity surrounded him, leaving the Indigo Rebel surprised.

Once it dissipated, Harry noticed that the blonde boy wasn't in his hero outfit, but on a more casual one.

"So, you want my trust? Then, let's make a deal. If you win against me, I will trust you" Zak said.

The Indigo Rebel felt confused and furrowed his eyebrows, but nodded either way, since there was no other option.

Harry had expected a series of dangerous trials to win the blonde boy's trust. And none of the trials he had in mind… involved basketball.

"And here I go!" the Indigo Rebel said, throwing the ball at the hoop's direction. Unexpectedly, it worked.

"Wow, you are surprisingly better than I thought" the demigod said, surprised at the results.

Both had been playing for quite a long time on a court nearby the blonde boy's house. Even if Zak had made more points, Harry wasn't playing as bad as expected from his 'nerdy' nature.

But they did more than just play, though. They also took the chance to answer some questions that each one had about the other.

"So, you where the one who caused that big explosion?" the demigod asked, comparing the story he was told with the noise he heard on the night before.

"Not exactly. My escape partners had the idea and executed it" Harry answered.

"Gosh, wish I was there to see the faces of those green sticks" the blond boy said, laughing at the situation.

"And you are a demigod, right?" the Indigo Rebel asked, wanting to be sure that he heard right.

"Yeah, my mom and her family were mystical treasure-hunters and met really powerful and even weird people. That's how I ended up being a son of Zeus. My grandpa took care of me while he could… but he isn't around anymore" Zak said while throwing the ball at the hoop.

He tried no to sound sad, but Harry noticed it was a hard topic for the blonde boy to talk about.

"Sorry for bringing this topic" the Indigo Rebel said, feeling guilty for what had happened.

"It's okay, you didn't know" the demigod said, trying to sound like he wasn't sad anymore.

"And you are going after the miraculouses so that the lab doesn't get them, right?" Zak asked, breaking the uncomfortable silence.

"Exactly. If the lab grabs them first, they will be able of transforming the world in whatever they want it to be! And, believe on me when I said, it won't be a better place…" Harry said, not sure how much the blonde boy would believe. Fortunately, the demigod nodded, knowing how cruel that organization could be.

"The coordinates said that the Tiger one was around here. It would have been a great start grabbing the first miraculous on their list before them. That's why I need to know if it's actually here" the Indigo Rebel continued.

The demigod sighed and stood in silence for a few seconds, pondering what he should do.

"I do have it, and it's in my family's storage. I can bring you there, but, if you try to steal anything, I will break your leg, got it?" Zak asked with a smirk. By the tone, Harry could get that he was half serious and half joking.

"Got it" the Indigo Rebel said while nodding.

The blonde boy brought the scientist to the storage, and Harry was absolutely amazed by all that he saw.

"Wow!" he said, while being guided in the direction of the Tiger miraculous by the demigod.

On the way there, the Indigo Rebel saw fantastical mystical objects he never heard about, like a glowing choker that was surrounded by a sphere of water, a sword covered in fire, a green glowing bracelet, a light purple spinning wheel and even more.

However, he kept his hands as close to his body as possible, not wanting to break the promise or make the blonde boy feel betrayed.

"And here it is. The Miraculous of Tiger itself" Zak said, pointing to a jewel made of a wristlet and five small rings on each one of the fingers, all connected through chains and a magenta circle in the middle.

Due to what happened with the illusion before, Harry still felt a bit hesitant, even if he was a bit more secure this time. Just like before, he slowly approached his arms to the object and grabbed it carefully.

"You know, my grandpa always told me this object was one of the most precious ones here, and that it needed special protection… before, I didn't understand why, but after what you told me, now I do" the blonde boy said, remembering what his grandfather used to say about that miraculous.

When the Indigo Rebel approached the object to himself, a small light came after the circle in the middle of the object.

The light slowly materialized and took the form of a small magenta tiger with purple stripes, and he roared loudly, which startled the young scientist.

"Yes! Finally free after so long" the kwami said, excited about finally leaving the miraculous after so long. Eventually, they noticed the two boys looking at him.

"And who exactly are you two and why you two freed me?" asked the small creature, a little bit confused to why they were freed by these two boys, considering that, as far as they could remember, their miraculous was given to an elderly man for their protection.

"Well, it's hard to explain, but the important part is that you are safe" said Harry, trying to keep the small powerful being calm.

"My name is Harry, nice to meet you" the scientist said, finally introducing himself.

"And I am Zak" the demigod said, doing the same. The kwami smiled, happy at noticing that they weren't bad people.

"Well, I am Roaar, the kwami of Exaltation. And I like to Roar!" Roaar screamed out of excitement once again, happy to finally see someone after so long.

Even if everything was okay, and Zak noticed that Harry's intentions were good, unlike those of the lab, there still was a really important question he still needed to ask.

"Hey, just out of curiosity, since this mission is so hard and complicated, shouldn't you have asked one of those big superheroes team, like the Justice League, for help?" the demigod asked.

"Sigh… it's… complicated. The League, even if they don't know nothing precise about the lab, they still don't like them. If I tried approaching them, they could put me in jail for collaborating with them. There is a chance they might not believe me; they also might not even be able of handling the situation since they are always busy… a lot of things can happen" the young scientist answered.

"And that's why I decided to handle this on my own. Even if I don't know how I am going to this alone… but I need to try, even if there are basically no chances of succeeding" the indigo rebel continued, trying to sound optimistic, even if he wasn't.

"Well, good for you that you're not alone anymore!" the blond boy said confidently.

Harry furrowed one of his eyebrows, confused by the demigod's statement.

"Uh… what?" the young scientist asked, finally putting his doubt into words.

"I have been doing my best as Thunder Boy to keep this storage and Hope Valley safe from that lab and everyone. My grandpa always told me they could destroy the world if they had access to our treasures. But, if to protect the world and stop them I need to go to other places and help you, that's what I am doing" Zak answered, finally explaining what he meant.

"I… can't ask you to do that. It's not fair dragging you to this mess" Harry said, believing that putting someone innocent in the lab's aim was wrong.

"Hey, you are not asking me to do anything. I am volunteering myself. Besides, I am already on the lab's aim. They have been after my family for years because of this storage. And I won't let them hurt anyone else anymore…" the demigod said, with a bit of mysterious tone on the last statement.

It didn't take much for the Indigo Rebel to arrive at the conclusion that the lab had something to do with the demise of Zak's grandfather.

"So, what do you say. Team?" the blonde boy said, offering once again the offer of becoming a team and also trying to hide the sadness and not think about it anymore.

"Team" Harry said with a smile while fist-bumping his newest ally.

"So, since we are now a team, can I ask you a small favor?" the young scientist said, remembering an important detail. The demigod nodded.

"I need a place that is safe from the lab to stay. Considering there seems to be a magical barrier around your house, I was wondering if I could stay here" the Indigo Rebel asked.

"Well, there are lots of free rooms on my house. You can stay on one of them" Zak answered, leaving the young scientist relieved.

"Thank You!" Harry said, glad that he finally had a safe place to stay.

"So, can someone finally explain to me what's going on here?!" Roaar asked, going back to the conversation to finally understand what was happening.

"Well, it's going to be a long story…" the Indigo Rebel said, starting to explain what was going on with the Green Light Lab.

The first day out of the lab was a big surprise for Harry: He discovered a city he never heard about in the past, fought against an experiment of the lab and met a demigod.

But, at least, it was also a good start to his mission: He found a safe hideout, the first miraculous on the list and gained a new ally.

His journey is far from ending, but he won't have to face it alone.

Meanwhile, in a very distant place, a scientist from the Green Ranking was really bitter with what had happened.

"Oh, Harry, it's always you the one ruining things for me!" Lime said, with the same venomous tone of always. He was looking at a green digital screen on a monitor nearby with the image and info on all of the miraculouses.

"You promised success, young scientist Lime. And yet, you failed" an adult scientist that entered the room said on a cynical tone.

"Well, uh… there were lots of unforeseen events that ended up getting in my way to success. But it is still not a serious failure yet!" Lime said, trying to keep the older scientist from punishing him.

"The tiger miraculous's power is not useful enough for us, and there is an unexplainable phenomenon on that area that keep us from tracking the exact coordinates. So, not having it won't affect us that much now" the bitter boy said, finishing what he had to say.

The older scientist approached him slowly, with a creepy smile on his face.

"Well, in that case, I expect that you do not fail on the next attempts…" the older scientist said, putting his hand on the boy's shoulder.

"… or else" he said, while starting to squeeze Lime's shoulder with so much strength that it seemed like he would break it.

"Understood" the bitter boy said, while trembling in fear for what his punishment could be.

"Perfect" the older scientist said with the same cynical smile, finally leaving the room.

Lime, seeing that he was finally alone, opened his lab coat and grabbed a photo from an inner pocket.

"Oh, Harry" he said to a photo of him and his friends from when they were all younger.

"You have no idea of what awaits you!" Lime said, crumpling the photo with his fists.

Nothing bitters a person's heart more than envy and resentment, and these two things are something that this young scientist of the green ranking has in excess.

Only the future can tell how this story will end.

Author's Note: This chapter is another one of those really big ones. Like, it's one of the longest chapters I have ever written.

Now, talking about Zak and Harry, these two, as you all will notice as the story goes, are basically brothers.

Their interactions were a bit inspired by Rex and Ben 10 on the United Heroes special and Rin and Yukio from Blue Exorcist (An anime my cousin forced me to watch).

And other thing that needs to be said is about the dream sequence in the beginning of the chapter. This dream sequence is a part of a group of three dream sequences that will continue to appear in future chapter. They all have lots of deep meaning and should be deeply analyzed to make sense…

As for the next chapter, well… I have only one hint to give to you all: Subjection/Action.

Please, fave, comment, follow and recommend it to your friends.

I also have a tumblr in case you guys want to ask something.

Goodbye for now!
