It's a new week but this week is even more exciting, it's my birthday and on Friday the girls and I are flying to Vegas for the weekend.
April and I arrive at Monday night Raw and drop off our stuff and head to our meeting with Jane and Mark. "Morning ladies." They greet.
"Morning." We retort.
"Today there's going to be another confrontation between SEZ and AJ and its going to end in a brawl." Jane announces.
"Sarah you will be taken back through the crowd and AJ will be held down wherever the brawl finishes." Mark adds.
"Is it going to be just Sarah and AJ?" April asks.
"Yes." Jane answers.
"Anything you want us to say?" I ask.
"We have a script for you." Mark says and handing it over. "This will also be the last week that SEZ will be on TV before the reveal at Mania."
"So after tonight no more SEZ?"
"That's correct. Next week Vicki will announce the match at Wrestlemania and on the same night, she will announce the last entrant, which will be SEZ, who will then come out and reveal herself." Mark explains.
Once we are finished with our meeting, April and I head our separate ways and I start to get ready. Once I'm ready I'm escorted backstage and I wait for my signal and watch as April skips out.
AJ skips out and makes her way down the ramp. "Ladies and gentleman, we have the Divas Champion making her way to the ring." Jerry announces.
"She's had some trouble the past few weeks being attacked by SEZ and being pinned by Naomi several times, I wonder what's going on in her head." Cole wonders.
"Maybe she'll give us some answers." JBL predicts.
AJ gets in the ring as her music dies and the crowd give her a loud mixed reaction. "What's it going to take?" She starts off. "For 8 months I've been running the divas locker room and no one in that locker room deserves my title." She addresses. "They did try; there was Brie for a while." she lists off and the crowd cheers. "There was Natalya at one stage, oh and don't forget poor Naomi, how's your eye?" AJ mocks and the crowd boos. "You all tried but no one was even close." AJ enforces and the crowd boo in disagreement. "Boo all you want you know it's true."
"Not even close." I shout and the crowd erupts as I walk out and down the ramp. AJ turns to face me. "Not even close, I think you're forgetting someone."
"Am I forgetting you?" She asks laughing.
"Yes, because for the past month I've only seen you flat on your ass." I retort and the crowd laugh in agreement. "Not once have you even laid me out. You've tried the numbers game and that didn't even work."
"Are you done?" AJ asks.
I get in the ring and walk towards her. "Not even close."
"You don't deserve this." AJ wines.
"Please tell me why?" I ask stepping towards her and she steps back. "And just like that she backs away like a scaredy cat." I taunt. "Come on AJ, I'm right here, lay one on me, give me the best you got, from what I've seen is that you're scared because you know I can hurt you."
She hesitates but brings her mike up. "The one that's scared around here is you." She argues. "You're the one hiding behind a mask and hoody, come on SEZ." she says with bunny fingers. "You don't have to hide, reveal yourself, doesn't everyone want to know who you are?"
"I do." Jerry chimes in.
"I think we all do." JBL adds.
The crowd cheer as AJ eggs them on. I stand back and reach my hand up to my hoody but I stop and look around. I go to pull it down but stop. "On second thought, I just want to do this." I say and throw a right hook.
The crowd oohs from the impact. "Did you see that right hook?" JBL shouts.
"That nearly knocked AJ's teeth out." Cole responds.
AJ pounces and knocks me down and starts unloading on me. "SEZ shouldn't of done that." Jerry mentions.
"You won't be champion much longer." I shout.
"You are nothing." AJ shouts rolling us out of the ring.
"That's the best you got?" I say as we get to our feet.
I jump on her and she falls down. "These two woman hate each other, someone stop them!" JBL shouts.
Officials and referees run down and they begin to pull us apart. I try to get out of there hold but there's to many. AJ manages to escape and jumps on top of me but the officials grab her again. "Let me go." I shriek as officials start to drag me over the barricade. "You are going to regret this, just you wait."
Once I get backstage I'm escorted back to my private room. I enter and find Paul and Stephanie. "Hi Steph, hi Paul." I greet.
"We just wanted to come by before you left to say that the storyline with you and April has been fantastic." Paul expresses.
"I'm glad, April and I love it, we don't like that it's ending."
"All for a good reason though."
"Yeah."
"As Jane and Mark told you earlier, this was your last appearance as SEZ before the reveal at Mania." Steph reminds me. "From now on just travel with everyone and when we come around to inform everyone about the match at Mania we will give you all the details."
"I'm looking forward to it." I respond
"So are we." Paul agrees.
"We will leave you to it." Stephane farewells and they go to leave but she turns back. "Oh and Serena, happy birthday for Friday."
"Thanks."
After Raw April and I head back to the hotel. "That segment was so much fun." April expresses.
"It was, how was the right hook?" I ask.
"It hurt." She winces laughing. "But it made the segment look good."
"Are you ready for some time off?"
"I am. I want to spend some time with Phil. I want to plan my wedding, I need a break."
"And you're okay with it being this way?"
"It was either you or Saraya."
"Is she getting called up?"
"Yes and so is Tenille."
"Good to hear. They could help elevate the division."
"They can, that's why they are bringing Paige into the title picture straight away." she agrees. "Plus I've heard rumours about what they want you two to do."
"Really what?"
For the rest of the week I spend time at home and before I know it Thursday comes around and I am ready for Vegas. April arrives at my apartment to pick me up. As we are about to leave I hear a loud knock at my door. "Who is that?" I question.
"No clue." April shrugs.
I answer the door and when I open it confetti is blasted all over me. It's Brie, Nicole, Nattie, Trinity and Ariane. I laugh as they continue to drench me in confetti. "Really?"
"We had to." Trinity laughs.
"I don't think you had to but I feel the love." I chuckle. April and I grab our stuff and make our way to the lobby. When we walk outside I see a black hummer limo. "You didn't?"
"We did." They grin.
"It was April's idea." Nicole mentions.
I turn to face her and she grins. "Guilty."
The driver opens up the door and we climb in. Inside there are multiple bottles of wine on ice. "Now this is a party." Brie expresses.
"Brie mode." I yell out and pop the cork and the girls laugh in response.
We arrive in Vegas and are eager to get the night started. We check in to our suite and start to get ready. Eventually my outfit is complete. I'm wearing a plunging red bandage dress with black stilettos and my hair is in curls. I've gone for a bronzed smokey eye with false lashes. I'm looking hot.
I walk out of my room and the girls are waiting for me. "Woohoo." Nicole wolf whistles when she sees me.
"You think?" I ask turning around showing off my look.
"You look hot." Brie compliments.
"Are you all ready?" I ask. They all nod. "Where are we going"
"It's a surprise." April replies.
"I hate surprises."
"You will love this one." Ariane promises.
We leave the room and make our way to one of the restaurants in the MGM. We walk inside one of the function rooms. "Surprise!" A loud crowd yell out. I jump back startled and in front of me is everyone I know and love.
My mum with Nick and Eliza. Phoebe, Paul, Nina, Claire and Leah are standing to one side. On the other side of the room is Anna, Lisa, Eliza and Angela. I continue to scan the room and see my Uncle Allan and Auntie Lynn. "Wow." I say in shock. I notice Jon, Renee and Colby in a corner and see Colby eyeing me up. I wave at them as people come up and greet me. "Mum." I greet excitedly.
"You look stunning." She compliments.
"Thanks."
"Hey munchkin." I greet Eliza.
"You look so pretty." She compliments hugging me.
"Back at you sister."
I continue to make my way around the room greeting people and out the corner of my eye I see a familiar figure. "No way." I squeal excitedly. She looks straight at me and I run at her. "Celeste."
"Happy birthday." she wishes hugging me tightly.
I have tears in my eyes. "You're here."
"Hey, don't cry."
"I've missed you so much."
"I've missed you too."
"I'm glad you're here."
"I wouldn't be anywhere else."
After greeting everyone we all sit down at the large table and I stand up raising a glass of wine in my hand. "I would like to thank Nicole, April, and everyone else who helped organise this surprise, I really appreciate it." I begin. "I want to thank you all for coming. I know everyone is extremely busy, so to take a couple days off for my birthday it means the world to me, so thank you."
The second part of the night is in full swing at a nightclub. We are escorted to a VIP booth where there are waiters waiting for us with drinks. The drinks start flowing and it gets messy fast.
We all gather around our booth and a server brings out a birthday cake. It has candles and sparkles lit up and it's decorated with things that are associated about me. Everyone gathers round and wishes me happy birthday as I cut the cake.
Brie, Nicole and I are drunk. We are dancing everywhere; on the dance floor, on top of lounges and all of a sudden I fall and crash to the ground spilling my drink everywhere. I start laughing as Anna helps me up. "Hello." I slur.
"What are you doing on the floor drunkie?" She laughs.
"I slipped."
"You sure did." she laughs helping me up. "Are you having fun?"
"Tons."
"I'm coming to Wrestlemania." she announces over the music.
"You are?"
"Yes."
"I'll get you the best seats."
"You are to good to me."
"As are you." I smile and lean my head on her shoulder.
After the nightclub several of us go back to my suite. As the elevator comes to a stop I go to walk out but I slip and Jon catches me. "Whoops." I squeal.
"Not so fast." He jokes as everyone laughs as we enter my suit.
"Tonight was fun." I say aloud as I sit down on the couch and remove my shoes.
"It was." They agree.
"Thanks again Nikki." I thank her.
"You deserve it."
We fall into easy conversation and eventually the only people that are left are Anna, Renee, Jon and Colby, who I haven't been able to stop staring at all night. "Well it's getting late." Anna says checking the time.
"Yeah it is." Renee agrees. "We should probably go too."
"Thanks for looking after me tonight guys." I thank.
"You're welcome." Anna says standing up. "Bye guys."
"We'll follow you out." Jon says.
"Happy birthday lovely." Renee wishes and they leave.
I turn to face Colby and smile as I lay down on the couch. "You should probably get some sleep." He suggests.
"That's probably a good idea."
"Come on I'll help you to your bed."
"Thanks."
"Anytime." He smiles and helps me off the couch. "Did you have a good time?"
"The best. I've never had people go out of there way for me before, so I appreciate it."
"You deserve it."
I blush. "Thanks for coming."
"Wouldn't of missed it." He whispers eyeing me up and I so badly want him to kiss me. He hesitantly turns to leave but turns back. "Hey Serena."
"Yeah."
"Happy birthday beautiful." He wishes.
