Scene Two.
Camera is seen as a pair of opening eyes. They blink a few times before opening fully. Looking around, a hospital room is seen. A mirror is on the wall,on the right. Camera looks at the mirror and sees the trainer staring at herself for a minute.
Trainer"Who is that?"
A doctor is seen coming in. He asks the trainer some questions and the trainer answers them. The trainer asks what happened. The doctor explains she was hurt and was found with her ankle pinned under a boulder. She also hit her head. Then she was brought to this hospital. The trainer nods gently,her hand on the bandages surrounding her head. The doctor says he'll be back later and goes to leave,then stops. He tells her that her pokemon have been taken care of too. The trainer looks confused and sits up.
Trainer"i don't have any pokemon. I'm not a trainer."
The doctor says she is. All the pokemon were registered with her as their trainer. The trainer shakes her head,and regrets it. The doctor picks up her trainer card from the pile of her stuff on a chair in the room. He holds it out to her. She takes it,studing the pisture and name.
Trainer"Who is this?"
The doctor says that's her. The trainer looks puzzled.
Trainer"But who am I?"
The doctor tells her what her name is and asks if it rings a bell. The trainer thinks.
Trainer"My minds blank."
The doctor looks concerned. He tellls her he'll be right back. He leaves and comes back with five pokeballs. He opens two and a Gardevoir and the Skitty from earlier stand in the room. The pokemon look around and see their trainer. They rush forward and Skitty jumps on the bed. The trainer flinches a little and sits stiffly as Skitty happily nuzzles against her. She relaxes after a minute and cautiosusly pets Skitty. Skitty purrs as Gardevoir walks forward and touches the trainer's lock eyes and stare at each other for a minute or two before the trainer feels something.
Trainer'This feels familar,I think.'
She almost remembers something,but then the feeling is gone. Dropping her gaze from Gardevoir's,the trainer looks down at her doctor asks if she's ok and if she remembers anything. The trainer looks up,her face a little overwhelmed.
Trainer"I'm ok,just tired. I thought I remembered something,but I didn't."
The doctor returns the pokemon and he tells her to get some rest. The trainer nods and lays down,closing her eyes. The next week is seen,the trainer's ankle healing and visiting with her pokemon,even though she doesn't remember them. The pokemon understand why their trainer is different,for the most part. They do miss her personality though. On Saturday,the trainer is told she's well enough to leave. The trainer still doesn't remember who she is,but she's ready to leave. A bright,sunny Monday morning,the trainer is all packed with her pokemon. Usually,she'd need to be picked up by a parent,but since she's a trainer and her hometown isn't very far,she can go by herself. At the front door,she says good-bye to the doctor.
Trainer,bows"Thank you for everything,Doctor."
Doctor"You're welcome."
The trainer walks outside and is walking down the driveway,when someone calls her name. She doesn't turn around. Someone calls her name again,so she stops and turns around. A nurse is hurrying after her. The nurse meets her and holds out a black bracelet.
Nurse"You forgot this. It was with your stuff."
The trainer takes the bracelet,studing it.
Trainer'This is mine? What is it?"
Nurse"I've heard it's called a Mega Ring. A trainer wears it and the Keystone inside lets certain pokemon Mega-Evolve."
The trainer puts it on her left wrist.
Trainer"That's really cool! That must mean my pokemon can Mega-Evolve!"
The nurse nods and goes back inside the hospital. The trainer starts walking again,limping on her ankle a little and still using one crutch. Camera watches her go through town and into the forest,down the dirt road.
Scene Three
The city the trainer is leaving is called Cyllage city. Her hometown is called Courmarine City. Her hometown was written on her trainer card. To get to Courmarine City, she has to go past Geosauge Town. Camera sees the sun, then turns white. When it clears ,the sky is orange and the sun is starting to set. Now deep in the woods, the trainer stops and looks at the sky. She walks forward and finds a clear spot. Once in the spot, She takes off her backpack and drops it next to a big rock. The trainer sits down on the rock with a sigh. She lays her crutch down and stretches out her left leg, her head lowered. She sits like this for about a minute, when a pokeball from her belt opens by itself. Skitty comes out and stands in front of her.
Skitty "Skitty!"
The trainer lifts her head and looks at Skitty.
Trainer "Hi Skitty."
Skitty skitters forward and rubs it's head against the trainer's right leg. The trainer smiles and strokes Skitty's head. Skitty purrs as the trainer picks it up. Skitty mews happily. Camera is in the trainer's perspective and see her arms holding Skitty. A memory flashes through her mind of her holding a pink pokemon egg. Suddenly the egg glows and cracks, after that Skitty sits in her lap. The trainer pulls out her pokedex.
Pokedex "Skitty. The kitten pokemon. Skitty loves to chase things, including it's own tail. Skitty is known to run in a circle chasing it's tail and get dizzy."
The trainer gasps a little. Skitty cocks it's head at it's trainer. She puts Skitty down.
Trainer" Skitty, was I the first thing you saw when you hatched out of your egg?"
Skitty,nods"Skitt,Skitty."
Trainer "oh wow! That's great!"
The trainer opens her backpack and pulls out collapsible tent and a sleeping bag. She stands and opens the tent, putting it up. She takes the sleeping bag inside, unrolls it and something falls out. It's a notebook. She reads the title on the notebook.
Trainer "Travel Log of …"
Reading the name, the trainer frowns for a second, thinking.
Trainer 'Oh yeah,that's me, apparently'
The trainer opens the notebook and starts reading.
"Pokemon Journey: Day One.
Today I got my first pokemon, Chespin. His nickname is Leafy. He's really cool! And I got my pokedex from Professor Sycamore. He's nice. I found out the first pokemon gym is in Santalune City. Before I left town, me and Leafy called Mom in Courmarine City. She was glad to see me and she liked Leafy. Since it was almost dark, we decided to stay at the pokemon center. Journey to Santalune City starts tomorrow, it'll be great!"
The log entry is dated the first of spring. Under the entry is a small picture of a Chespin wearing a yellow bandana around it's neck. Leafy is written under the picture.
Trainer' I guess I can draw and that's what Leafy looks like. I wonder where he is now, I don't have a Chespin with me.'
Thinking of the other pokemon,the trainer crawls out of the tent and lets them all out. Braviary,Vulpix,Gardevoir and Gallade stand in front of her. Skitty greets it's friends. The trainer asks the pokemon if they're hungry. The all answer at once. The trainer laughs and tells them she is too. Then she asks if they can help her with the fire pit. Vulpix yaps and nods. The trainer and most of the pokemon build a fire pit with some stones. After collecting wood, the trainer tries to light it with a match. Then another and another. The trainer frowns, wondering why it won't work. Then Vulpix eagerly steps forward and uses Flamethrower. On the wood and on the trainer. The trainer's face is seen black and charred. She coughs smoke, groans and falls over.
Trainer" Thanks Vulpix, try aiming next time."
Vulpix looks apologetic. Some time later the sun as has set and the pokemon and their trainer have eaten dinner. The pokemon have been returned to their pokeballs, except for Vulpix. It stayed out because it wanted to watch the fire. The trainer is sitting by the fire reading more of her log. The trainer finds out how she got her pokemon. Braviary was Rufflet when she found it. After winning her first badge, she caught first a female Ralts,then a male Ralts. The trainer closes the book and tucking it under her arm, limps to the tent. She comes back in pajamas and tells Vulpix she has to put out the fire. Vulpix nods and yips sadly. She dumps water on it and smothers the wood in dirt. With Vulpix following her, the trainer goes into the tent. The trainer zips into her sleeping bag. Vulpix curls up next to her.
