Nattie, TJ and I arrive in Sarona and it's beautiful. We arrive at the villa and separate into our rooms. As I'm unpacking and organising my things, I get a message from Colby: I Just landed, are you up for a bite to eat?
I smile: Sure where?
What room are you in, I'll come collect you?
77.
On my way, be ready! He orders.
I look at the clock and see it's 7. I quickly put on a army green off the shoulder top and ripped jeans with brown sandals. My hair is in light waves and I have minimal make up on.
As I'm about to brush my hair, a knock is heard at my door. I put the brush down and answer the door to find Colby, looking as handsome as ever. "Hi." I greet.
"Hey, you look great." He compliments.
"Thanks, but I feel gross, I just got off the plane so your stuck with me being smelly."
"I think I'll be okay."
"You've been warned." I joke. "Anyway where are we eating, I'm starved?"
"Follow me."
We arrive at a restaurant close to the hotel and take seat at the bar. "Is it good to be finally back at work?" he asks.
"It is." I confirm.
"Your necks doing okay?"
"It is. I do have moments of stiffness in my neck but I'm good, I haven't done anything too vigorous yet."
"Is it good being back?"
"It is, I missed this so much, but I'm glad I had the time off, I needed it."
"You should be proud of yourself."
"I am, and I'm in a really good head space too."
"I can see, it's good seeing you smiling again, and I'm certain that a few of your new friends were a major part of that,"
I smile. "I'm just a likeable person." I joke and he laughs. "I'm grateful for meeting them, they helped me whilst I was rehabbing and it aloud me to have a bit of normalcy." I explain. "It started getting out of hand when I was seen with Nina or Ian, but they all have a special place in my heart."
"Did you ever date Ian?"
I look him right in the eyes. "He did ask me out, but I wasn't interested. I was sticking to my word, I wasn't going to date anyone whilst I was recovering." I respond. "But now that I'm back working again, I'm just enjoying myself, and not worrying about what's supposed to happen."
He smiles at me and I can see a spark in his eye. "That's a great mindset to have. So much happened to you last year you didn't get to enjoy it, now you can."
"And I plan to."
The next morning I wake up and get ready for breakfast. I put on a white maxi dress with pink flowers and pair it with white wedges and my hair is in waves.
I arrive at breakfast and find Nattie and TJ already seated. "Good morning." I greet.
"Hi." She greets. "What did you get up to last night then?"
"I went and had dinner."
"Who with?"
"Colby." I answer and her eyes go wide.
"And how was that?" She asks with a hint of a smile.
"It was fun. We caught up, it was nice."
"Sounds like a lovely night."
"It was."
She passes me over a mimosa. "I got you this."
A short while later everyone arrives and our table is full of chatter. "Have you told John about being married before?" I ask Nikki.
She shakes her head. "No."
"Why not?"
"I'm scared."
"I understand that, but you're going to have to tell him and the longer you leave it the harder it will be."
"I know that, but I don't want him to be mad."
"Why would he be mad?" I question. "That was at a time in your life before you even met him. I think he'll be more hurt that you didn't tell him, I think he wants to be one of those people that you can open up to."
"You think so?"
"Yes. That's apart of your history, don't you think he would want to know that?" I ask. "He might not care but he wants you to be able to tell him stuff."
"You're right."
"It will be fine."
"Thanks." She smiles. "Anyway, did you get up to anything last night."
I nod. "I actually had a really nice night."
"What did you do?"
"She went to dinner with Colby." Nattie answers.
I turn to face Nattie and send her a playful glare. "Did you?" Nikki grins.
"I did and it was a lovely catch up between friends." I enforce. "We haven't been able to have a proper catch up since I've been back, and it was nice."
It's Brie's wedding day and I'm meeting with Ariane and Nattie to get our hair and make-up done. Ariane, Nattie and I arrive at the salon and we begin to get beautiful. By mid-morning I have my hair in soft curls and for my make-up I've gone for a shimmery smokey eye and false lashes.
Once my hair and make up is complete, I leave the ladies to finish getting ready and make my way back to my room. I'm walking down the hallway and run into Jon and Colby. "Hey." They both greet.
"Hi guys ."
"You look great." Colby compliments.
I blush. "Thanks, I'm about to finish getting ready." I thank. "I'd love to stay and chat but I'm running late, but if you're board at the reception, find me at the bar."
"Still going to order me that beer?" Colby yells out as I walk further down the hall.
I turn back to face him. "Maybe."
I get back to the room and put on my dress. I'm wearing a pale pink off the shoulder dress. The bodice is lace and stops at the waist which flares out in a tulle skirt. For my shoes I am wearing nude peep toe pumps.
I arrive at the ceremony and see Nattie and TJ talking at one of the cocktail tables. "You two look great." I say as I walk up to them.
"As do you, that dress is beautiful." Nattie responds.
"And you look beautiful as always." TJ adds and leaves us to chat.
Out the corner of my eye I see Jon, Renee and Colby arrive and they all look great. They walk over to us. "Don't you two clean up nice." I compliment the guys. "And Renee, pretty as ever."
"Oh stop it." The guys shrug playfully.
"You ready to be seated?" Renee asks us.
"Let's go."
A short while later we are asked to stand as the bridal party make there way down the aisle and lastly Brie walks down looking stunning. The ceremony begins and it's breathtaking. Brian and Brie both recite personnel vowels and by the end I'm in tears. Brie and Brian kiss and they are announced husband and wife.
The reception is in full swing and I've been dancing the night way. I make my way over to the bar where I find Renee and Colby. "You beat me here." I mention.
They laugh. "You were to busy on the dance floor." Colby defends.
"Are you two having a good night?"
"The best." Renee confirms. "We haven't had a good night off in a while, so it's a nice change."
"It is and it's great that most of us could come this weekend too."
"It is."
"Well I'm drunk and it's probably best I leave before I make a fool of myself."
They both laugh. "Are you going to be able to make it?" Colby asks.
I chuckle. "Probably not, but I might start heading towards my room and see what happens."
Renee laughs. "I would walk with you, but I have to go find Jon, why don't you help her." Renee suggests looking at Colby.
I turn my head to face him. "I'm not going to decline the offer." I joke.
He chuckles. "Why don't you go say your goodbyes and meet me at the exit."
"Sure." I accept and walk over to the newlyweds with a smile. "The ceremony was beautiful you guys, congratulations."
"Thank you for coming." Brian says hugging me.
"Don't mention it, I wouldn't have missed it."
"Thank you and it's great to have you here." Brie says hugging me. "I'll see you soon."
"I wish you guys all the best."
I meet up with Colby at the entrance and he we walks me back to my hotel room. "So this is definitely another thing we have." I comment.
"It is and there seems to be a pattern." He agrees.
I chuckle. "Yeah me drunk."
"You aren't the only one."
"I'm surprised by that, I never see you drink much."
"We have a big match coming up."
"That's right you're a face now and feuding with Evolution."
"So we have to be on our game."
"You always are."
"I hear you might be doing a big match at Extreme Rules." he mentions.
"They haven't given the approval yet, but it's looking like a possibility."
"You nervous?"
"I'm always nervous."
"True." he chuckles as we arrive at my hotel room. "Here we are."
"Thanks for walking with me."
"Have a good night sleep."
I smile. "I will."
