"I suppose this isn't a bad idea..." Erza murmured as she sat on a box. They were currently riding in the Christina to get back to their guild. It was actually a pretty smart thing to suggest. Who knows what they could of ran into if they started walking. Lucy sat on the floor, in front of Natsu. Her eyes were focused as she looked at the cards in front of her.
"I don't get why they're so into it," Gray snickered. "It's only Go-Fish." Erza put an armored hand over her mouth to stop the laughter from spilling out. It was true though, Natsu and Lucy looked so concentrated on a game of Go-Fish, they even ignored Marie and Happy trying to gain their attention.
"Do you...have any eights?" Lucy asked slowly. Natsu looked up at her with a smirk.
"Go-Fish." He chuckled. Lucy gasped and slammed down her cards.
"How are you doing this Natsu, you won four games in a row already. You're cheating aren't you!" Lucy yelled. She wasn't actually angry, but more frustrated than anything. No one had ever beat her at this game before. It was like Natsu was using a magic spell or something. She narrowed her eyes at his smug face.
"A magician never reveals his secrets."
Gray rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. "It's a game of luck, flame brain. You just happened to get the right cards to best her. There is no strategy for Go-Fish!" Natsu glared at him and stood up, only to fall to the ground in a heaping pile of motion sickness. Seeing this, Lucy collapsed as well. Gray held his mouth open in astonishment. "Was playing that game the only reason you guys weren't motion sick!?" He exclaimed.
"I almost forgot they had motion sickness for a moment." Erza mumbled.
"Get me off this thing..." Natsu cried out. They weren't too far from the guild after that. Moments later, the Christina landed smoothly. Lucy and Natsu ran out first and laid on the ground before their beat up guild hall. Lucy's smile was watery as she stared up in front of her. They were finally back.
Everyone stepped inside the guild hall after Blue Pegasus left. They all stared at the rest of Fairy Tail staring back. Everyone cheered upon seeing them. Michelle ran up to Lucy and engulfed her in a hug. Lucy laughed and wrapped her arms around Michelle's waist. She was happy to see her too!
"We were sure you guys didn't make it!" Max chuckled, patting Gray on the back.
"If it wasn't for Blue Pegasus we might not have. I'm glad you all are safe and sound," Erza announced. She trailed her eyes around the guild until she stopped at Levy. The small mage was staring intently at the wall, writing things down as she did. "What's going on?"
"It was Kinana," Macao started. "She's that little girl we picked up a few days ago. She doesn't remember a thing of her past, but then all of a sudden she grabbed a fork and starts writing these symbols on the wall. We suspect it's in the type of writing Zentopia uses." He explained. Team Natsu stocked up to Levy and stared over her shoulder at the weird writing.
"It looks almost otherworldly." Lucy stated with wide eyes. Levy turned back to her and nodded.
"Yeah, it's so ancient I was sure this language was dead. I'll have to do a lot of research if I want to figure out what this says." Levy sighed, picking up a few books and skimming through them for any type of clue.
"Where is Kinana now?" Erza asked as she crossed her arms. She gazed at the crowd, but didn't see any sign of the new comer. She hadn't really gotten a good look at Kinana at first, but the master had told her she wore a green dress, and that she had short purple hair. Warren stepped forward and pointed to the ceiling.
"She's upstairs resting now. It seemed that writing all that took a toll on her and she collapsed to the ground. Max and I carried her back to the infirmary room."
"Anyway," Gajeel muttered. "How are we going to get those peices back. We still have to gather them together don't we?" Lucy rubbed the back of her head and looked down at the ground in shame. She'd almost forgotten the rest of the guild didn't know about her mistake.
"I was wrong," Lucy sighed. "I re-read the book again and figured out what the little girl was trying to say in the first place. She wanted us not to gather the clock peices. But we did, which actually helped the Oracion Seis." Tears gathered in her eyes again. The feeling of guilt building up inside her. Gajeel noticed this and grumbled.
"Damn, your old man really made things so complicated." Lucy looked up at with wide. Suddenly, everyone was agreeing with Gajeel. That her father was the one that could of made things easier. She felt her smile come back.
"Thanks Gajeel..." Lucy mumbled. The gruff slayer looked back at her with a huge toothy smirk.
"Don't mention it bunny girl. Let's just get it right next time." He said as he looked at her determined expression.
"Right!"
"It might be hard to find the Oracion Seis, so I say find their Legion Platoon buddies and beat their faces in until we find our where they're at!" Natsu cackled with a crack of his knuckles. Gray rolled his eyes and put his hands on his hips.
"Oh and how do you suppose we find the Legion Platoon, slanty eyes?" Gray scoffed.
"Wanna say that to my face, droopy eyes!?"
"I already did!"
"Enough!" Erza growled. "Anyway, I don't think the Legion Platoon are allied with the Oracion Seis."
"What do you mean?" Lucy asked. But now that she thinks about it. The Legion Platoon seemed to be a bit surprised about the Oracion Seis showing up.
"They seemed almost scared of the Oracion Seis. I remember Dan even saying they were too powerful to try and take on. So I'm sure they aren't allies and probably don't have any clue as to where they are." Erza explained. That was a plausible answer of course. But it didn't sit right with Lucy. The Legion Platoon knew more than they were letting on.
"I'm not so sure of that," Lucy mumbled, turning to Erza. "They seemed surprised they were there, but they weren't too shaken up about the clock peices being stolen. Maybe their boss hired the Oracion Seis, and the Legion Platoon is opposed to it. Which means they probably do know where they're held up." Everyone nodded in agreement. It seemed like the most logical idea.
"It's not like it matters. We have no idea where any of them are at." Gray sighed. That was also true. No member of Fairy Tail had any idea where any of them are at. Kana then began to laugh. She held up a couple of cards between her fingers.
"I think we can figure out where they'll be at." Just as everyone was going to cheer, the guild doors opened to reveal Evergreen, Bickslow, and Fried. They all smirked upon seeing everyone.
"Were back. That job was almost nothing!" Bickslow laughed, sticking out his tongue. Evergreen flipped her hair over her shoulder and put her fan in front of her mouth.
"I feel we stayed longer in town to celebrate more than we did fighting off that beast." She laughed. Fried had said nothing, but that was because everyone was staring at them. Bickslow lost his smile and gave them an odd look.
"Is something going on?"
...
"So you're telling me, that this group called the Oracion Seis took the clock peices to this infinity clock and we have to get them back so we can take them as far away from each other as possible. Jeez we're gone for a couple days and we find out the world is ending." Bickslow laughed bitterly.
"So how do you suppose we find this Oracion Seis." Fried asked. Everyone looked down at Kana, who fell asleep. Lucy frowned and shook the drunkard awake. Kana slowly awoke and rubbed her sore head.
"Are you alright Kana?" Lucy asked softly. She sat next to her and watched as she rubbed her temples.
"Yeah, I'm just suddenly so tried. But let's do this," She grabbed a map and hung it up on the wall. She grabbed a stack of cards and held it in front of everyone. "Alright, I have a deck of cards with everyone on it. I'm going to throw these cards at this map. When two or more cards land in a location, that means that there is an Oracion Seis member held up in that place. My magic is going to pick the best possible team for each opponent."
"Why can't we just do our regular teams. Usually when we pick our own, we're compatible." Gray argued. He didn't really like the idea of magic picking who he would be compatible with. He knew who he worked well with and who he didn't.
"Are you doubting my magic?!" Kana growled. The look on her face made him stiffen.
"N-No ma'am!"
She turned away from him and grabbed the cards on the table. Fitting them between her fingers before she threw the first group of cards. It landed somewhere to the right of the map. "This group is Fried and Gray." Macao said as he grabbed the cards and showed them to the crowd. Gray and Fried looked at each other before shrugging.
"Well it could of been worse. Glad to be workin with ya, Fried."
"As am I. I'm sure we will make a formidable duo." Fried smiled. Next to Gray, Juvia cried in despair as she wasn't chosen to work with Gray.
"Next up, we have Erza and Evergreen." Macao announced. Erza gasped and looked over to Evergreen who smirked.
"I guess we really will see whose the queen of the Fairy's"
"I'm sure we will." Erza smirked.
"Let's just hope they don't fight the whole time." Romeo smiled nervously.
"Oh yeah, you're on their team too Max."
"What? Me!?" Max shouted. He wasn't sure he would be able to survive the two devils on his team. He sighed hopelessly and looked up to see the demonic aura that Erza and Evergreen had when they stared at each other. They probably didn't even know he was on their team. Lucky him.
"The next team is Gajeel and Juvia!"
Gajeel grumbled and looked to Juvia who was still weeping over not being chosen to go with Gray. Gajeel rolled his eyes. This was going to be a long mission. "Get up Juvia, you're on my team." Gajeel muttered. Juvia looked over to him for a moment.
She then began to weep louder. "Why Gajeel!"
"Next up is Bickslow and Wendy!" Wendy gasped at Macao's words and looked over at Bickslow. The taller mage grinned down at the little girl and ruffled her hair.
"Guess we'll be working together. Hope you can hold your own little girl!" Bickslow laughed. Wendy gave him a smile and said;
"Of course! I won't disappoint you!"
"Next team is all of the exceeds!"
Happy, Charle, Marie, and Pantherlilly looked at each other with smiles. With how the teams were being chosen so far, they were all glad they were working together. Marie sighed in relief and stood next to Pantherlilly and gave him and grin. She was especially happy to work with him. Pantherlilly gave her a nod back.
"And for the last team, it's Natsu, Lucy, Elfman, and Michelle!"
"Elfman!?"
