The following week flies by and I'm back on the road. I arrive at the arena and pile into the locker room where I find Nikki and Brie. "Morning." I greet them.
"Morning Rena." Brie greets. "How was your week off."
"Good, I did a lot of reflecting."
"That's good." Nikki responds.
"We should probably head to talent relations."
"Let's go then."
We make our way to our meeting and inside are Mark and Jane. "Morning ladies." Mark greets us.
"Morning." We greet.
"Tonight there is going to be two segments with the ladies." Jane addresses. "One being a tag match; Eva and Nikki versus Aksana and Alicia."
The ladies all nod, but I can see that Nikki's doesn't like it. "Sarah and Paige, will also have a segment, the contract signing for the match which will be the mainevent." Mark continues.
"Leading into Sunday, on Smackdown, Paige and Sarah will have a singles match with their team mates in their corner." Jane adds. "Lastly, on Mainevent, we have Natalya versus Layla."
"That's all for now, thanks ladies." Mark dismisses us.
After our meeting I head to hair and make-up. Amy end up straightening my hair and puts my make up on. I get changed into my gear from last week but I now have a vest that is made of leather and has silver studs.
Once I'm ready Saraya and I sit in catering to grab a bite to eat. Joe, Colby and Jon approach our table and sit down. "Hi." Joe greets us.
"Hi." We greet.
"How was your week off?" Colby asks me.
"Good, how was yours?" I ask.
"Good, we missed having you out there."
"I am missable." I joke and they all laugh. I glance at Colby and send him a smile. He returns it and I go back to eating. "How's your little girl Joe?"
"She's good, she's been talking with your step sister."
"I'm glad, it's good that she now has someone similar in age she can hang out with at shows."
"When are you visiting your mum next?" Colby asks.
"Soon." I answer.
"When did you last see her?" Jon asks.
"My birthday."
"That was a messy night."
I laugh. "But it was fun."
"So Saraya, how are you finding working with Hunter?" Colby asks.
"Yeah he's great so is Dave. They give me lots of tips and advice, especially Paul he really thinks that Serena and I can steal the show, that's why he pushed for us to be in the match."
I glance at the TV and see the divas match has just finished. "Wow that was quick." I mention.
"Yeah they've been shorter and shorter each week." Saraya agrees.
"I feel sorry for Nikki, she's having to team with Eva."
"What happened between you two anyway?" Jon asks.
"Jealousy."
"Hopefully after this match, we can show Vince that us ladies can do more stuff, because the division needs to change." Saraya addresses.
"It does." I agree.
The show is almost over and it's time to head to gorilla. I'm standing with Saraya, when Paul, Randy and Dave walk over. "Hey. Good rehearsal today, are you ready?" Paul asks.
"Yes I am, I just hope it's all worth it." I respond.
"It will be." He assures. "We have big things planned for you ladies including some of the others." He adds. "I've heard you talking and I agree with you, so prove to everyone here what you've got and there is no doubt that things will change."
"Wow thats some great advice."
"Sometimes you have to be given it; I know you never had that father figure, so I hope you can come to me for anything."
I smile. "Thanks."
The Shields music blasts and the arena goes berserk. The boys walk down through the crowd and jump over the barricade. "The Shield are making there way to the ring, and it looks like Sarah isn't with them, we haven't seen her in over a week." Cole announces. "Let's remind you what happened last Monday."
The screen plays what happened last week and the last image is of me getting RampPaiged on top of the announce table. The Shield stand in the ring angry. "Last week we got beat down, but here we are, still standing and this Sunday at Payback, Evolution is going to become extinct." Seth declares and the crowd cheers.
"We're missing a key member of our group." Dean continues. "But we got hold of Sarah and she will be back with a vengeance, so let's get this contract signing underway, Evolution get down here so we can beat your asses."
Evolutions music comes on and Triple H, Batista, Randy and Paige walk out looking smug.
Triple H has a mike in his hand and the contract in the other. "You are all talk for such young guys. You see we are Evolution, combined we have 27 championships between us and what do you have, nothing." Hunter taunts. "We also have a powerful woman who can take anyone down that gets in her way, and wait where is yours? Oh that's right she's injured."
The crowd boo loudly. "Nothing against Sarah but, wouldn't you want someone that isn't so easily taken out of the equation." Randy asks as they get in the ring.
"We knew you were going to say that, requested by the Divas Champion herself, she wants a match on Smackdown to prove that she isn't injured." Roman announces.
"Why isn't she here then? I've been dominating this division since I arrived and it looks like all Sarah can do is get injured." Paige mocks.
The Shield boys all smirk at one another. "Really? Because all she's been doing since she's arrived here is beat everyone that she's comes across and if I'm not mistaken, she beat your ass at Extreme Rules." Seth retorts and the crowd cheers loudly.
Paige starts to huff and puff and my music blasts and the crowd goes crazy. "Oh boy, is Sarah here?" King asks excited.
I wait a moment and walk out from behind the curtain with my belt around my waist and a mike in my hand and Evolution are left shocked. I wave at them as my music dies. "It's good to be back after suck a horrible week; sipping on margaritas, getting a tan, oh and refreshing my hair." I say as I fluff my hair.
"Is that what she's been doing all week?" JBL asks.
"I was never injured, I wanted you to think that you took me out, but news flash, I'm right here, completely healthy." I ensure as I walk around the ring. "I'm late, because the ladies at the nail salon took forever doing my top coat, so I couldn't make it on time, but no fret, I'm here and can speak for myself." I add and turn to face all four opponents. "You want to know what I see when I look at you four?" I ask as I point to the members of Evolution. "I see a wannabee movie star who tried making movies but couldn't, so he came back to the thing he's mildly good at." I say boldly and have a stare down with Batista as the crowd laughs.
"Did she just call Batista a wannabee movie star?" Cole questions.
I then turn to face Randy. "Then I see a guy who is one of the best superstars here, well could be if he hadn't been given everything handed to him." I add and the crowd oohs. I then turn to Triple H and smile. "Then we have the cerebral assassin, the king of kings, the game, Triple H, oh wait your just a washed up wrestler in a suit." I taunt. "You know Hunter, I used to idolize you, but now all I see is someone who's given up on who he really is." Triple H just takes it and starts to smirk as my guys laugh. "No offence, but you three aren't what you used to be." I reply and turn to face Paige. "Then there is you Paige. The anti-diva, the first NXT Women's Champion, the person who had the guts to fight me woman to woman, oh wait you didn't, you chose to attack me from behind and threw me off the stage." I say loudly. "But you failed, just like you failed at taking my title off me and just like you failed at taking me out last week. It takes a lot more than screaming 'this is my house.'" I mock and the crowd love it. Paige starts seething. "Aww did I hit a nerve." I tease. "You all used to be talented back in the 2000s, but this is the reality era, this is the era of The Shield, so at Payback this will be the last we see of you like you are now, because after we beat you; starting with you Batista, then you Randy, then Hunter and lastly my favourite Paige, we will see the end Evolution and see the rise of The Shield." I declare and the crowd goes crazy.
Evolution starts to pace and Hunter tries to calm them down. "Before we sign the contract, you said you wanted a match on Smackdown?" He asks me.
"As a matter of fact I do, and because you're the COO you can make it happen."
"Enlighten me."
"Because Paige and I are play pivotal roles of this rivalry we need to showcase what we got." I respond. "So I want a match, not just a match; I want the mainevent match on Smackdown." I announce and the crowd cheer loudly liking the idea.
The men of Evolution snicker. "Yeah keep dreaming." Randy comments.
"I have big dreams Randy, and a dream of mine is to shut that mouth of yours so please let me make it come true." I plead and the crowd laughs.
"Sarah is on fire tonight." Jerry laughs.
"Randy shut it." Triple H orders and the crowd oohs.
"I want a match with Paige." I announce and the crowd goes crazy. "What do you say Paige, are you up to versing me the Divas Champion, the best diva on the roster?" I ask her with a smile. Paige looks to Triple H for guidance and he just stays there. "What do you say Hunter?"
"It's not up to me you are going to have to ask her."
I glance at Paige and take my title off my waist and place it over my shoulder. "What do you say Paige, lets show these men how to close a show?"
"On one condition." She considers.
"What's that?"
"For the championship." she suggests and the crowd love this. "What do you say Sarah, put your money where your mouth is, put your title on the line."
I look to my boys. "Okay."
"Done." She accepts.
"Well it's settled on Smackdown it will be Paige Vs Sarah for the Divas Championship." Triple H announces and the crowd goes crazy. "Now, that we've done talking, lets settle this."
Michael Cole gets in the ring and officiates. "Shield and Sarah, sign first." he directs and each of us sign our signatures. "Evolution and Paige."
Once Evolution signs the contract we all stand nose to nose staring at one another. "Are we going to see a preview of Sunday?" King wonders.
"You four have just signed your lives away." Triple H threatens.
"No we haven't. You may have world titles amongst you, but we have things that you will never get back, skill, youth and the ability to fight." Seth finishes and the crowd laughs.
That seems to tick Evolution off because they pounce on us and Paige tackles me to the floor and we unload on one another. Seth and Randy fight one another, Roman and Batista go head to head and lastly Dean and Triple H go at it.
I get the upper hand and make it to my feet. I use the momentum and run the ropes and send Paige flying over the ropes with a massive close line. "Sarah just sent Paige flying out of the ring." Cole shouts.
"Can we see that close line again?" JBL ask shocked.
I turn around and see Seth starting to struggle, so I dropkick Randy from behind which makes him collapse to his knees. This allows Seth to gain the upper hand and run the ropes and deliver a curb stomp. "Curb stomp to Randy Orton." Jerry announces.
Seth turns to face me and smirks. I return it and we turn to help Roman who is fighting Batista. We continue to kick and punch him in the back and kidneys. This makes Batista hunch over in pain and allows Roman to charge at him and spear him out of the ring. "Three down and just the COO left." Cole announces.
"This isn't good." JBL expresses worriedly.
We circle Triple H and he gets to his feet. He turns around and walks right into Dean and he delivers Dirty Deeds. Evolution pulls Triple H out of the ring and we stand tall. The members of Evolution and Paige glare at as they walk up the ramp. "The Shield are standing tall." Cole announces.
"Is this what we are going to see on Sunday?" Jerry asks.
"We will have to wait and see." JBL responds.
