AN: Hey everyone, I have the next chapter here. This one goes back to Weiss as she has her Gym Battle. But first, she has to pass through a couple of Route and make a potential new catch. At the end, we also get the reveal of one of my favorite Pokemon characters. Hope you enjoy this chapter, leave a review with your comments and questions, and have a nice day.

Chapter 16 – Raising Higher
Weiss walked past a sign with the words Route 118 inscribed on it. However, she found herself stopped at a shallow body of water. She crossed her arms, knowing this obstacle would ruin her heels, "Before, I could just use a Glyph platform to get across. Or just-" she thought before realizing something, causing her to smile and take out a Pokeball, "Vulpix, you're up!" she the white heiress said while tossing out the ball, "Use Icy Wind."
"Vul!" the snow fox Pokemon said while emerging from the Pokeball, then unleashed a cool breeze onto the water. After a few seconds, the surface of the water froze. Weiss smiled before taking one step on the ice. After confirming it was solid, she pushed off with her other foot, skating across the frozen water. Upon making it to the other end, she turned to see Vulpix sliding across, "Vul!"
"Awe!" Weiss gushed as she picked up her Pokemon, "You are just too adorable!" she said with nuzzling Vulpix, causing both to smile, "You can return now." The white heiress then recalled her Pokemon into the Pokeball.
Weiss took a few steps forward while taking out her map, "Okay, looks like I take a left and go straight." She said while doing so, passing between two small mountains and sign that read Route 119. However, she stopped before a massive patch of tall grass. She looked to her left and right, seeing no way to walk past the grass. "Hmmm," she thought before taking out a different Pokeball, "Zangoose, come on out."
"Zan," Zangoose said as he stood next to his trainer.
"I need you to cut this grass," Weiss asked, "Use Slash."
"…" Zangoose looked at the tall grass, then back to Weiss, "…"
"… You gonna do it?" Weiss asked, "What about using Fury Cutter?"
"…" The cat ferret Pokemon just had a blank stare at his trainer, "…Zangoose."
"…" Weiss stared back before sighing, taking back out the Pokeball, "Return." She recalled Zangoose, then walked through the tall grass. The white heiress pushed we way through, but then tripped over a stay vine. She fell into a patch of dirt, barely catching herself from landing in the mud, "It must have rained not too long ago." Weiss said while pushing herself up and dusting herself off. However, she saw a glint in the dirt. In kneeling and picking up the item, she gasped, "It's a Pokeball!" Weiss said before cleaning off the dirt. She then presses the center button, causing the ball to open, but nothing emerged "Empty, but it looks to still work." She said before pocketing the Pokeball, "Maybe I should catch another Pokemon before challenging the gym."
Weiss eventually pushed her way through the tall grass and reach a different shoreline. A small house was seeing to her right, while a river and waterfall were to her left. Small hills were seeing before her, but each was connected by a set of wooden bridges. She turned around to the tall grass, "I didn't run into anything there, and I don't feel like walking through that grass again." She then looked over to the river, "What about in the water?" Weiss walked over and saw blue silhouettes of Pokemon, "I'm not just gonna reach in with my hands, I need a fishing-" She said before looking to her right seeing an old fishing rod on the ground, "Well, I'll take a little more convenience to balance out all the unluck." She said before picking up the fishing rod, then turned to the house, "This is probably theirs; I should ask first before using it." Weiss said before walking over to the house, then knocked on the door. After no response for a few seconds, she turned the knob, realizing the door was open, "Hello, can I use this fishing r-"
Inside were half a dozen seagull Pokemon, all of which turned to Weiss, "Wingull!" one of the birds screeched, flapping its wings, "Wingull! Wingull!" more started to chime in, "Wingull!" Suddenly, all six started to fly straight for Weiss. The white heiress closed the door as fast as she could, hearing the beaks slammed against the other sides. She took a step back from the door and, then started to run up the hill.
Weiss rushed across a bridge, running through another grass patch, and across another bridge. After making it to the other side, the white heiress panted with her hands on her knees, "Why? Just, why?" She said before catching her breath. She looked to her left, seeing a road towards a town, "At least I'm close to where I need to go." Weiss then looked to her left, seeing a sorted path down towards the river. She then looked back to the old fishing rod, "But, I should try to see if I can catch something for my team."
Weiss walked down the path, standing at the edge of the river. After reeling back, she cast out the line of the fishing rod as far as she could, "…" Weiss waited, "…..." She waited some more, "…..." She continued to wait, "…. Come on!" She shouted, then suddenly felt a tug, "Oh, a bite!" She said before reeling in the line, but felt a stronger pulling, "No you don't!" Weiss said before digging in her heels, "You're mine!" She said before pulling back as hard as she could, causing something to emerge from the water.
It was a large fish, around two feet in length. The scales were a light brown, but the fins were blue. The blue protrusion on its head resembled the handle of a suitcase, "Feebas!" the fish Pokemon said before slamming into Weiss' arms, "Feebas! Feebas!" it flailed, "Feebas! Feebas! Feebas!" it continued to flail, causing Weiss to fall on her back and hearing a snapping sound.
"Get off me!" Weiss tossed the fish Pokemon aside, then looked at the old fishing rod, "Oh no, it broke." She looked at the fishing rod in both hands. She dropped them and sighed, then looked over to the still flailing fish Pokemon, "I don't know what I was expecting now. I can't have this thing fight for me."
"Feebas!" the fish Pokemon flailed.
"Don't worry, I'll push you back in," Weiss said as she got halfway up. However, she paused upon realizing something, "Wait, where's the Pokeball I just found?" the white heiress said before looking on the ground, finding the ball in the dirt and extending her left hand, "At least this didn't br-"
"Feebas!" the fish Pokemon flailed and landed in the Pokeball. In landing on the button, the device opened and ensnared the creature inside. After three shakes, a small clicking noise was heard.
"…" Weiss stared at the Pokeball with her mouth partway open, her arm frozen in place. She then closed her eyes and sighed, picking up the Pokeball, "W-welcome to the team." She said upon standing up, then walked down the path towards the town.
Upon entering the residence, Weiss noticed a sign that read Fortree City. She then looked up at the treehouses, now understanding the location's name. To her left, she saw a red-roofed building and walked inside. Upon entering, another familiar face was seen. "Hello, how may we help you?" Nurse Joy said as Weiss' eyes widened. The white heiress turned her head back and pointed, then looked back at nurse joy in confusion. However, Nurse Joy smiled with a slight head tilt.
Weiss sighed before walking forward, "I just wanted to heal up my Pokemon before challenging the gym." She said before taking out two pokeballs, then a third, "I also just caught this one and wanted to know the move set and ability."
"Okay then," Nurse Joy said before taking the Pokeball and placing them in a machine, "By chance, is your name Weiss?" she said with the white heiress nodding, "I got a message from the Nurse Joy in Dewford to relay a message to you." She before quickly typing in a machine, "It was from a girl named Hilda. She said Blake won her gym battle and that they are flying here to pick you up."
"Oh, thank you." Weiss responded, "Do you know how long ago that message was?"
"Not too long ago, but you should still have time to complete a gym challenge." Nurse Joy said before handing back the three pokeballs. Suddenly, a piece of paper was printed from a machine. Nurse Joy took the paper, folded it into thirds, and handed it to Weiss as well, "Good luck." She said before bowing, "We hope to see you again."
"Thank you." Weiss bowed back before accepting the items. As she exited the Pokemon center, the white heiress read the list of moves of her new partner, "Splash, Tackle, and Flail." She before gritting her teeth, "None of those sound good." Weiss then put the note away and sighed, "I can't use her in battle, so Feebas will have to just stay in the ball for now." She then had a look of determination as she climbed the ladder up, "I can't let Blake do all the work, I need to earn a gym badge as well."
After walking across the bridge to another treehouse, Weiss saw a large build bellow. Inferring this as the gym, she descended the ladder to land on the grass. However, after taking one step, something blocked her path. The white heiress tilted her head, then heard rustling leaves and footsteps to her right. In retaking a step, the obstacle appeared to be gone. She continued to circle the building to find its entrance.
Upon entering, Weiss was slightly taken back at the decor. The floor seemed tiled and the interior seemed to be filled with pillars of wood, "What is this place?" Weiss commented as she walked deeper inside, noticing a type of wooden revolving door, "Is this some sort of maze?" She said before walking forward, pushing the door open. In doing so, Weiss noticed the other rotating door close behind her. She examined the doors to see they were connected to form a right angle, "Oh, I get it now." Weiss said before looking further in the maze, noticing more of these doors, and causing a small smirk to form.
A few minutes later, Weiss walked up a small stairway toward a plateau. She was almost taken back as an open airway blew winds through wooden pinwheels. As the white heiress recovered, she saw a young woman in a blue and white aerial jumpsuit. While a helpmate and goggles kept her hair from catching the wind, her lavender ponytail floated in the breeze, "Oh, a challenger?" she spoke as she turned to Weiss, who had a focused gaze.
"You must be the gym leader." Weiss inferred.
"Yes, my name is Winona, The Fortree City's Flying-type Gym Leader," The gym leader answered, causing a sudden gust of wind to blow, "I had heard someone enter, but you avoid all my trainers in the maze."
"That puzzle was child's play," Weiss boasted, "It was simple for me to find a pathway that offered the least resistance." She then took out one of her pokeballs, "Plus, the only one I am here to battle is you."
"Heh, Wattson had called ahead to inform me of a new challenger with a cold deminer." Winona said as she turned to face Weiss, "Very well, I accept your challenge." The gym leader then whipped her ponytail in the wind, "For this battle, we will use the same number of Pokemon, but you decide how many each of us shall have." As she spoke, a referee in an aviator outfit walked onto the plateau, "You may tell him the number and your name."
"Okay," Weiss spoke before thinking to herself, "I have three Pokemon, but Feebas would hold me back and give her an extra one to deal with." The white heiress then looked to the referee, "I'll use two Pokemon. And my name is Weiss Schnee."
"Very well, so shall I." Winona responded, taking out her first Pokeball.
"The battle between the gym leader, Winona, and the challenger, Weiss Schnee," The referee declared with both arms raised, "Shall now begin!"
"Zangoose, you're up first!" Weiss tossed out her Pokeball, causing the cat ferret Pokemon to emerge with a battle cry before landing on the floor.
"Swablu, come on out!" Winona said as she tossed her Pokeball. Emerging was a small blue bird with cotton-like wings.
Weiss grinned at her opponent, "I thought she would start small, so I would be able to overpower with Zangoose." The white heiress thought, "Now since Vulpix has the advantage in types, I can save her for later." Weiss then pointed, "Zangoose, use Slash!"
"Zan!" The cat ferret Pokemon said before rushing into combat, then leaped into the air to slash the tiny cotton bird Pokemon.
"Dodge it," Winona ordered, causing Swablu to avoid the slash, "Now Whirlwind."
"Swablu!" the cotton bird Pokemon said before flapping its wings, creating a massive gust of wind.
"Zan?" Zangoose felt the wind overwhelm him, sending him into the air. Suddenly, his body glowed red as he was recalled into the Pokeball.
"What?" Weiss said in shock, "How did you-" she before one of her other Pokeball opened on its own.
Emerging onto the field was the fish Pokemon, "Feebas!" she said while flailing on the floor.
"WHAT?" Weiss responded, "I didn't send her out?"
"Whirlwind is a move that forces your Pokemon out of battle and sends a random one to replace it." Winona called out, "Since you wanted to only use two Pokemon, this was the best way for me to learn exactly what two you were planning on using."
"I wasn't planning on using my fish to fight birds!" Weiss called out, "I have a third Pokemon that I was going to use in this battle."
"Sorry, but your two Pokemon have been decided." The referee interjected, "If you use anyone else but Zangoose or Feebas, you will be disqualified."
"And if you choose to give up now because of this new development," Winona said before flicking her ponytail in the wind, "I will refuse any offer to a rematch."
Weiss stood with her mouth in a gasp, then gritted her teeth, "If I can't use Vulpix, it just means Zangoose will have to carry a bit more weight." She said before taking out the fish pokemon's Pokeball, "Feebas, return!" she said before recalling the flailing fish, then tossed out the cat ferret Pokemon's ball, "Zangoose, come back out."
However, Winona grinned. "Swablu, Aerial Ace!"
"Swablu!" the cotton bird Pokemon said before divebombing at high speed, causing a white aura to radiate from its body.
The cat ferret Pokemon emerged from the ball again, "Zan-" he said, but was cut off as Swablu crashed into him, "Zangoose!" The cat ferret Pokemon landed on his back while the cotton bird Pokemon flapped its wings.
"Hey, how was that fair!?" Weiss called out in rage, turning to the referee.
"Switching out one Pokemon for another allows the opponent to set up an attack." The referee explained, "Unless your other Pokemon fainted, you should have prepared for the new one to take a hit."
Weiss gritted her teeth before pointing to cotton bird Pokemon, "Zangoose, hit back with Revenge."
"Zan!" The cat ferret Pokemon nodded before rushing into battle, his left arm glowing with a blue aura, "Zangoose!" he said before smacking Swablu in midair with this his arm, causing him and Weiss to smile at the direct hit.
However, Winona smiled as well, "Swablu, use Mirror Move." The gym leader said before the cotton bird Pokemon recovered in midair, then divebombed again. This time, Swablu radiated a familiar blue aura before, causing Zangoose to gasp before taking the hit.
"Zangoose!" Weiss called out as the cat ferret Pokemon went crashing into the floor, creating a small crater on impact. As the dust settled, Weiss saw her Pokemon still conscious but struggling to push himself up.
"Mirror Move lets me use the attack you just performed," Winona commented, "And since it was Revenge, it did far more damage to your Pokemon than mine." The gym leader said before pointing, "Now, use Aerial Ace!"
"Swablu!" the cotton bird Pokemon said before divebombing again, gaining that white aura as it sored only a few inches off the ground.
"Zangoose, you have to use Slash on my mark." Weiss called out, "Get ready!"
"Zan," Zangoose said with a nod as he focused on the approaching cotton bird. He raised his left claws as he saw the target get within range. However, Swablu suddenly vanished in front of him, "Zan?"
"Now!" Weiss called out, causing Zangoose to grit his teeth.
"Zangoose!" the cat ferret Pokemon brought down his claw for his slash. At the same moment, Swablu reappeared and gasped. The claw slashed across the cotton bird pokemon's body, sending it skidding against the floor.
"But how?" Winona responded in shock, "How did you predict Aerial Ace's speed."
"Let's just say I have worked fast people before." Weiss said with the image of her speedster team leader coming to mind, "Now Zangoose, go in for another Slash."
"Zan!" the cat ferret Pokemon spoke with a grin as he leaped in for another attack.
The claw struck Swablu's body and launched into the air. The cotton bird Pokemon struggled to maintain flight, but a small smirk formed on Winona's face, "Use Perish Song!"
"Swa," the cotton bird Pokemon sang, causing blue lyrical notes to emerge from its beak. They circled the arena as Weiss and Zangoose looked at them in confusion. Suddenly, the notes turned red and fell onto the ground, soon evaporating afterward.
"That doesn't sound good," Weiss commented before focusing on the battle, "We need to end this quick. Zangoose, Slash one last time." She said with the cat ferret Pokemon leaping into the air for the final blow.
"Dodge it," Winona ordered, causing Swablu to do so. The gym leader then took out her Pokeball, "Now, return."
"No you don't." Weiss called out before pointing, "Use Pursuit!"
"Zan!" Zangoose said before being encompassed in a black aura, causing him to lunge towards Swablu.
The cotton bird Pokemon gasped before Zangoose crashed into her. The red beam of the Pokeball never hit its target as Winona gasped. Swablu hit the floor with a small dust cloud, while Zangoose landed on his feet. As the dust settled, the cotton bird Pokemon twitched with swirling eyes, "Swa... blu..."
"Swablu is unable to battle," The referee announced with Zangoose reposing with his claws.
"Good job, that's one down," Weiss complemented her Pokemon, "Only one more to go."
"I didn't account for Pursuit at that moment." Winona said as she recalled her fainted Pokemon, "Still, this match is far from over." The gym leader then took out another Pokeball, "Go, Pelipper!"
Emerging from the Pokeball was a massive pelican, one with a gullet that almost encompassed its entire body. With the flapping of its wings, a sudden downpour of rain came over the area. As Weiss looked at this large bird, the image of those seagull Pokemon came to her mind. She then looked back to Zangoose, who was slightly panting, "We can't drag out this fight like the last one." The white heiress thought before pointing, "Zangoose, use Slash!"
"Zangoose!" the cat ferret Pokemon said before lunging with his left claw reeled back.
"Pelipper, Stockpile," Winona called out.
"Peli," the pelican Pokemon said before inhaling a large amount of air. Zangoose landed the slash across the right side of the gullet, sending Pelipper back a bit. However, the damage was only minimal in comparison to the other attacks.
"Now Spit Up!" Winona called out before Pelipper opened its gullet, unleashing a blast wave of wind into Zangoose's body.
"Zan!" the cat ferret Pokemon was hit out of midair and crashed into the ground. As the dust settled, he struggled to push himself to one knee.
"Come on, you can do it!" Weiss cheered, but then saw something. Around Zangoose formed those odd musical notes again. Suddenly, the notes feel as an ominous tone rung through her ears. Right afterwards, Zangoose's body fell limp as he went unconscious, creating a small splash in the puddles on the floor, "Zangoose!?"
"Zangoose is unable to battle." The referee declared.
"W-what happened?" Weiss inquired.
"When a Pokemon uses Perish Song, both it and the opponent with faint after a short amount of time." Winona explained, "Long enough had passed that Zangoose fell under its effect." She then flicked her hair in the wind, "You could have saved him if you had switched out." The gym leader commented as Weiss gritted her teeth, "Now, I know your last Pokemon. Will you send it out or admit defeat right now?"
Weiss recalled Zangoose back to his Pokeball, then glared at Winona, "I'll never admit defeat!" the white heiress said before taking out her other Pokeball, "Go, Feebas!"
"Feebas!" the fish Pokemon said as she flailed on the battlefield.
"Well, you certainly are tenacious." Winona said before pointing, "Pelipper, use Water Gun!"
"Pelipper!" the pelican Pokemon unleashed a beam of water from its gullet.
"Feebas, you have to get out of way," Weiss said, but her Pokemon continued to splash in the puddles. Suddenly, Feebas' eyes glowed light blue, causing her to hop into the air at incredible speed, "…Eh?" Weiss responded in shock, "How is she so fast." She said before remembering something she did not check before, taking out the piece of paper, "Swift Swim, doubles speed in the rain."
"Oh, it has the ability." Winona commented, flicking her hair in the wind, "From the way it acted before, I thought it was Oblivious like its trainer."
"You're going to pay for that remark," Weiss responded, "Feebas, Tackle."
"Fee," the fish Pokemon rocketed towards Pelipper, slamming into the gullet, "Bas!"
"Pelipper, hit it away with Wing Attack," Winona counter, causing Pelipper to smack the fish Pokemon back to the ground, "Now Stockpile." She said as the pelican Pokemon began to inhale.
"This is bad, she'll expect me to dodge this time," Weiss said as Feebas flailed on the ground. She then looked back down at the piece of paper, "None of these moves can help me ag-" She said before reading a part of the paper she did not unfold. In doing so, a fourth move was shown to her, "Huh, how does it know that?"
"Pelipper, Spit Up!" Winona said with her Pokemon unleashing the blast of wind.
"Feebas," Weiss called out, "Use Scald!" She said with the fish Pokemon unleashing a stream of boiling water from its mouth. The two attacks collided, spreading the hot water through the air.
"You're Feebas knows Scald?" Winona commented, "How did you teach it that move?"
"I didn't, she already knew that move." Weiss responded, looking back to Feebas, "You're a lot more special than I thought you were." She said before looking down a bit, "I'm sorry for not taking you seriously before."
"Feebas." The fish Pokemon spoke, causing Weiss to look back to her, noticing it smiling back to its trainer. Weiss smiled back before both focused on their opponents.
"That's very sweet, but this battle is not over yet." Winona responded, "Pelipper, Stockpile!" she said with the pelican Pokemon inhaling again.
"Feebas, Flail!" Weiss said as the fish Pokemon leaped into the air, thrashing its body against the pelican Pokemon.
"Bat it away with Wing Attack." Winona said with Pelipper doing so, sending Feebas into the air towards part of the ceiling, "Now Stockpile again."
"Don't give in," Weiss called out, "Charge back with Tackle!"
"Fee," Feebas responded as it bounced off part of the ceiling and crashing into Pelipper, "Bas!" the fish Pokemon said upon impact. However, she soon discovered the attack was not as damaging, "Feebas?"
"The more times Stockpile is used in a succession, the higher Pelipper's defenses are raised." Winona commented, "As well, it will make Spit Up all the more powerful." The gym leader then pointed, "Quick launch it back with Wing Attack, then Stockpile for a third and final time!"
"Pelipper!" the pelican Pokemon said before swatting Feebas away again, then inhaling with a deep breath.
"Oh no, this is bad." Weiss said as a line of sweat ran down her face, "Think, if Ruby were here, what kind of plan would she come up wi-" Suddenly, the white heiress had an idea, "Feebas, use Scald to propel yourself into Pelipper's gullet!"
"WHAT!?" Winona exclaimed.
"Feebas," the fish Pokemon nodded before reangling her body, "Feebas!" suddenly, she shot a stream of boiling water to launch herself back into Pelipper. The pelican pokemon's mouth was still open from inhaling, causing Feebas to lodge itself into the gullet.
"Now, use Scald one more!" Weiss spoke, watching as Pelipper began to bloat and sweat. Suddenly, the pelican Pokemon erupted a pillar of boiling water from the mouth. The powerful stream shot Pelipper back into the floor, making a massive crater on impact. As the hot water collided with ceiling, mixing with the rain to create a rainbow. Out of the stream of water, Feebas swam out and free-fell to the floor. Weiss ran over and caught her fish Pokemon in her arms. The two then looked over to the crater, seeing the smoke clear with an unconscious Pelipper inside.
"Pelipper is unable to battle," the referee declared, extending his arm to the white heiress, "The winner is the challenger, Weiss Schnee."
"We did it!" Weiss said as she hugged Feebas, who smiled back at her. However, she failed to realize her partner was still steaming from the boiling water, "Ouch ouch ouch ouch!" the white heiress flailed with the fish before recalling the fish Pokemon back to its Pokeball.
Winona recalled her fainted Pelipper before walking over to Weiss, "You and your Pokemon did well." She commented, "They seem to trust your judgment in battle, even when it involves some crazy ideas."
"I've had a lot of experience dealing with that kind of thing myself," Weiss commented as the referee walked over as well, carrying a small case.
"Regardless, I congratulate you for overcoming this challenge." Winona said before opening the case, "For that, I present you with the Feather Badge." She took the item out of the case hand handed it to Weiss.
Weiss looked at the sliver feather blowing in the wind. She clenched it in her left hand before looking back to Winona, "Thank you." The white heiress said with a smile.
A short while later.
Weiss walked out of the Pokemon Center; her team now healed up. She still looked down at the Feather badge in her hand. In opening her jacket, she pined the badge on the right side, "Well, that's one of four down." Weiss said before closing her jacket, "Now, all I have to do is wait for Blake and Hild-" Suddenly, something grabbed onto Weiss' back and lifted her into the sky, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" She screamed before looking up, seeing it was a large bird Pokemon that grabbed her. However, this one was the same one she saw upon meeting the hothead trainer.
"Hey Weiss," Hilda said from the back of the bird. She looked down at the white heiress in the talons, "Hope Braviary didn't scare you?"
"What is your problem!?" Weiss exclaimed.
"What, didn't Nurse Joy tell you we were going to pick you up?" Hilda commented.
"I thought that meant figuratively!?" Weiss shouted back, then noticed Blake sitting behind Hilda, "Did you agree to this?"
"I really couldn't say no, or else I would have been stuck on an island." Blake said before pointing, "We needed something fast to keep up with that thing!"
Weiss looked over to see a massive floating structure. It was a cobalt steel aircraft in the shape of a pyramid, one with four propellers at each corner. "What is that?"
"Not sure," Hilda answered with a look of determination, "But we're boarding that vessel."
"Excuse me?" Weiss responded.
"We followed this thing and noticed a glass panel." Hilda explained while pointing, "I think we should be able to break through it."
"You THINK!?" Weiss exclaimed.
"You're right, only one way to find out." Hilda said as Blake held on tight, "Braviary, use Brave Bird!" suddenly, the massive bird divebombed towards the flying pyramid, its feathers pulsating with a blue electric aura. The sound of Weiss' screams was drowned out by Braviary's battle cry. The upon impact, the glass shattered as the brave bird went into the pyramid. The electric aura faded as Braviary let go of the white heiress. Hilda and Blake jumped off, landing on a dirt floor. "There you go, I knew we could break through it," Hilda said with her hands on her hips.
Blake looked around, seeing the stands and the chalked ground, "This looks like some kind of arena," She said before discovering her friend on the ground, "Weiss, are you okay!?" she ran over to her side.
"You know, I have had worse bird experiences." Weiss said as she pushed herself up, slightly coughing up some dirt, "This one, this is up there."
"Don't worry, we all lived, and we made it inside." Hilda commented, "Now, we just need find whose piloting this …. Whatever it's called?"
"Wouldn't they be mad about the hole we made?" Blake commented as she helped Weiss up.
Suddenly, a new voice spoke up, "This is the Battle Pyramid." The three girls turned to see a man with short brown hair and black eyes. He wore a green excavation attire with an orange interior, as well as a black belt and shoes, "As for the second question," He with his arms crossed, scowling with a piercing gaze. "What do you think?"
AN: There you go, Weiss wins over Winona and fished up a Feebas. (Something I never did in Pokemon Emerald). Hope this battle was a little more tense now, I really liked making the combat. Bit of disclosure, Swablu does not get Whirlwind, but I was a little lose with the rules for that move. Overall, I liked Weiss getting a fishy friend like this and winning with a bold move in the end. Winona used a pretty strong team, but this is nothing compared to that nightmarish Altaria. With the ending here, HBW is back together and abord the Battle Pyramid. Next chapter, which will be the last chapter for a while, we see then introduce themselves to the ultimate Regi user. That is all for now, thanks for reading, and hope to see you in the next chapter.
