For the rest of the week I spent most of it catching up on sleep but I have an important event that I need to attend on Saturday, April's wedding. I haven't seen her since she left and I can't wait to see her. I arrive in Chicago late Friday night and get settled into my hotel. Once unpacked I head out to get some dinner before turning in for the night.
The next morning I wake up and head to the nearest CrossFit. After my workout I shower and head to the hair salon where I get my hair done. Once my hair is finished I make my way to the nail salon and when I step inside I spot a familiar friend. "Celeste." I squeal.
She looks up from her spot and grins. "Serena! How are you?"
"I'm good and yourself?"
"Good, really good." She responds. "How's work?"
"It's great, still the champ and I just turned heel." I announce.
"I saw, and the change in hair colour, was that a creative decision?"
"They wanted me to go a bit darker."
"Do you know what your next storyline is?"
"It will be with April when she gets back."
"You miss having her around?" She asks.
"So much, I can't wait for her to get back, I love the girls but we bonded you know."
She squeezes my hand in reassurance. "I'm proud of you. I saw your last two paperview matches and you were incredible."
"Thank you, I just hope this allows us to continue what we are doing, I want all of them to have an opportunity."
After catching up with Celeste she comes back to my hotel and we finished getting ready. I look at myself in the mirror and I love the finished look. I'm wearing a pale pink off the shoulder shift dress with ruffled sleeves and black heels. For my make up I've gone for a gold shimmery smokey eye.
We arrive at the ceremony and take our seats. Shortly after the ceremony starts April slowly walks down the aisle and she looks stunning. She meets Phil at the end of the alter, and they join hands as the officiant begins and before we know it they are announced husband and wife.
Once the ceremony is over the newlyweds leave to take photos and the guests head to the reception. We enter and are handed a glass of wine and find our table. We wait close to an hour and the couple arrive with the wedding party.
Once the formal speeches have concluded I finally get the a chance to see April. "Hey." I greet approaching the couple.
"Serena you're here." She squeals.
"Congratulations, I'm so happy for you both." I congratulate.
"Thank you for coming." Phil thanks. "I'll let you two talk." he says kissing April's head and walks off.
"You look beautiful." I say as we walk outside.
"I'm so happy."
"I'm happy for you."
"How are you?"
"Good, but I miss you like crazy."
"I'll be back soon. How are the ladies?"
"They're good. But it hasn't been the same."
"I see you finally turned heel."
I smile. "I always said I was the devil."
"That you did." she chuckles. "So we'll be working together again."
I smile. "We will be, it should be interesting with my character change."
"You okay with all the change happening?" She asks.
"Yeah I'm excited, and I get to work with Stephanie and Colby more."
She smirks. "How's that going?" she asks as I smile shyly. "Did something happen between you two?"
"Yes." I admit. "But we are taking things slow."
"Did you tell him how you feel?"
"Yes." I smile. "He invited me out to crossfit games whilst he was in Tampa, we hung out all night, and he walked me home, we kissed."
"I'm happy for you Serena."
"Thanks, but if you could keep it between us, we are keeping it on the down low."
"My lips are sealed." she promises.
"There you two are." a voice says from behind us. We turn aroumd and it's Celeste. "It's time to dance."
"Let's go then." April accepts.
I fly into Dallas the next morning and I'm back on the road. I get to the hotel and crash on the bed. The wedding was so much fun. And I'm feeling it I decide to order take out and stay in for the night.
I wake up Monday morning and head to a local CrossFit. When I walk in, I see a familiar two toned head of hair appear. I feel my heart race as I haven't seen him since he left Tampa. I shake off the thought as I put my things in the change room and make my way towards my station. I'm about to start when he notices me. He smiles and I feel those butterflies in my stomach. I wave and he makes his way over. "Hey." he greets.
"Hi."
"How was your week off?"
"It was good, went to April's wedding and got some much needed sleep."
"How was it?"
"It was great."
"So are you in to CrossFit now?"
I smile. "You may have got me hooked, and I may have done a few sessions since we last saw each other."
"Feel any improvement?"
"You will have to wait and see." I tease.
Once the workout is over I'm dripping in sweat and I'm barely standing. "I see you aren't on the floor dying this time." Colby chuckles.
"Trust me I could drop any second." I joke.
"You did good."
"Why thank you." I flirt. "I better shower and get myself presentable."
"You already are." he flirts and I feel my cheeks flush.
I smile. "I'll see you at the arena, I have to go in early." I arrive at the arena and make my way to the locker room. As I walk in, I find Nicole, Saraya and Nattie. "Hey ladies." I greet.
"Hey lovely." Nicole greets.
"We saw the photos of April's wedding, you looked gorgeous." Nattie compliements
"Thank you it was a fun night."
"How was the rest of your week off?" Saraya asks.
"Good."
"Do you know what you're doing tonight?" Nikki asks.
"I'm about to find out." I answer.
I find Jane and Mark's office and knock on the door. "Come in." Janes calls out.
I open the door and find Colby, Jon and Joe inside. "Hey." I greet whilst eyeing Colby.
"Thanks for coming, we are just informing everyone about what's happening tonight." Mark addresses. "Tonight is where Sarah and Seth explain themselves."
We have a script, so read it over and branch off it for guidance." Jane continues handing it out.
I flick through the script for tonights show. "Sounds fun, anything in particular you want from me?" I ask.
"You're a heel now so act more confident and have more of an attitude." Mark suggests.
Once informed of my role I head to hair and make up where I find Nikki getting ready. "Hey." I greet.
"What are you doing tonight?" She asks.
"Segment with Seth and the boys, you?"
"Handicap match with Alicia and Aksana."
"Handicap?"
"Yeah it's all to do with Brie quitting until she comes back."
"This is good, you're getting more TV time."
"It is, but I wish I was showing off more of my skill."
"You will. Who knows they might even add you in a feud with me."
"I hope so."
"Just keep doing what you're doing, all the hard work will be worth it."
Once my hair and makeup is done, I get changed into black height waisted skinny jeans and a white lace playsuit and a black leather jacket with ankle boots. My hair is in long curls and for my make-up I have gone for a bold smokey eye.
"Wow." a voice gasps. I turn around and see Nattie and Saraya. "You look hot." Saraya compliments.
"Thanks, I'm liking this darker side of me, it's more sexy." I respond.
"You look beautifully evil." Nattie adds.
"When are you on?" Saraya asks.
"In about an hour." I answer.
"So did I hear things or were you and Colby at Crossfit this morning?"
"We ran into each other."
"And you didn't run into him in Tampa last week at the CrossFit Games?"
"He invited me."
"As a date?" Nattie asks curiously.
"No just as friends."
"So nothing happened." Saraya questions.
"No, we just hung out as friends." I lie.
My segment is next and I make my way to gorilla where I find Colby dressed in a black suit and he looks hot. I get in his line of eyesight and his eyes have gone wide as he takes in my appearance. "Hey." I greet. "You ready?"
It takes him a moment to get the words out. "Yeah, you look great." He responds complimenting me.
I grin. "I know."
He laughs. "Are you good with your lines?"
"Good as I'll ever be."
"Let's kill this then."
"Ladies and gentleman please welcome my guests at this time, two people that have been the centre of controversy over the past week, a former member of The Shield, Seth Rollins and the Divas Champion, Sarah." Cole introduces.
Seth's new music starts and the crowd immediately start booing and we walk out arm in arm and stand at the top of the ramp and take in the reaction. We glance at one another and we both start laughing and make our way down the ramp to the ring. "There they are folks, the two people that have been the talk of the media all week and the crowd's sign's say it all." Jerry addresses as the crowd continue to boo.
We get to the bottom of the ramp and Seth helps me up the steps and holds the ropes open for me. "Why thankyou." I thank as he walks me to our seats with an arm around my waist.
We send each other smirks as we face Cole and the crowd are still booing. "I think these fans and the WWE universe would of done the same thing these two did last week." JBL expresses first.
"What sellout to The Authority?" Jerry scoffs.
"Yes."
We take a seat as Seth's music stops and the crowd chant. "You sold out, you sold out, you sold out."
Seth and I make eye contact and we both start laughing. "Is that all you've got?" I ask and the crowd boo louder and I just continue to laugh. "Boo, hoo."
"Sarah seems to be so proud of herself." Jerry scoffs.
"So she should be, she made the right decision." JBL approves.
"Seth, Sarah welcome." Cole begins.
"Thank you." Seth thanks.
"There's been a lot of talk this past week."
"Talk about what?" I query.
"That you two attacked."
"I don't get what all this controversy is all about." Seth cuts him off. "Is it about what we did last week?" He retorts. "Because to me and I think it's the same for Sarah it wasn't a big deal."
"But you two attacked your team mates, your brothers why?" Cole asks.
"Firstly Michael I was never a part of The Shield." I clarify. "I was only in The Shield because I was needed and the fans were the ones that voted me in." I remind everyone but I'm cut off by. "You sold out." chants. "Oh come on, can you come up with something else to chant?" I ask the crowd and laugh as they continue to boo me. "We were doing what was best for business."
"I bet if any of you were given the opportunity you would have jumped at the offer." Seth expresses.
"You're all liars. You should be thanking us, we're saving this company."
"We are two of the best wrestlers in this company and we chose to do what we did because it was to benefit our careers." Seth explains. "If that means stabbing my brothers in the back, so be it, I did it."
"But you beat Evolution, why stab your family in the back?" Cole asks.
"You keep asking the same question Michael and we could give you a million different answers but do you want to know the real reason?" I ask and he nods. "It's because we wanted to." I answer and the crowd boo as Seth laughs. "I'm the Divas Champion and I've been carrying the divas division on its back ever since I arrived here, just like The Shield did." I exclaim. "No one has been able to beat me, no one has been able to make me give up and no one has been able to take this championship away from me. My goal is to rule this company, so I went to the people that know how." I finish and drop my mike as Seth looks on impressed.
The crowd boo and I laugh it off as I sit back down crossing my legs. "Sarah has this new attitude and I love it." JBL chuckles.
"We did what we did to benefit our future. And last week was the perfect time to do it." Seth continues. "In joining The Authority we will have futures, and as for our opponents not so much."
"Is that all you wanted Michael, is that all you wanted to hear?" I ask leaning over as the crowd boo.
"Oh that's right, we heard earlier from Dean Ambrose, that once we were done saying our peace, then they were going to kick the crap out of us." Seth reminds everyone.
I laugh. "Yeah I'd love to see them try, no offense Seth but I outsmarted The Shield a year ago, and I outsmarted Evolution."
"No offense taken sweetheart." Seth assures and chuckles at the memory.
"Anyway where was I? Oh that's right." I say and throw my chair out of the ring and Seth follows. "We've said our peace, where are you Shield or whatever's left of you."
Cole gets out of the ring and we take in the crowd. "Where you at boys." Seth calls out.
I take off my belt and put it in the corner. "They just called out what's left of The Shield." JBL announces.
"Pretty gutsy move." Jerry comments.
The crowd begin to cheer as Dean and Roman come out from the side of the ramp and make there way to the ring. "Here they are but both Seth and Sarah are standing there ground."
Seth rips off his tie and we back away a little. As Roman and Dean reach the ropes to get in the ring when Bray Wyatt's theme flickers and the arena goes black. Seth and I sneak out of the ring and as the lights turn back on, Luke Harper and Eric Rowan are face to face with Dean and Roman. They start attacking Dean and Roman. "Get them, get them." I shout from outside the ring.
I lean an arm on Seth's shoulder and he looks at me with a grin. "Do you think this was the plan all along?" Cole wonders.
"Of course it was." JBL replies.
"Go." I direct as Eric and Luke start to take control of the two members of The Shield. Seth makes his way back in the ring but Dean and Roman throw out the two Wyatt family members and Seth is stuck inbetween his former brothers. "Seth."
"Seth's in trouble." Jerry alerts.
Dean and Roman go to grab Seth but before they do all three Wyatt family members take down the rest of The Shield. "Bray Wyatt joins in on the beat down of The Shield." JBL announces.
I help Seth to his feet as he scrambles out of the ring. "You okay?"
He nods as we race towards the ramp as the Wyatt's continue to fight The Shield members. "The Wyatts's are feasting on Reigns and Ambrose, is this what we are going to see later tonight?" Cole wonders as John Cena's music blasts and the arena explodes.
"Wait a minute it's John Cena." JBL alerts.
"The man who's been fighting with Bray." Jerry exclaims.
"No." I shout.
"Looks like The Shield have found a partner." Cole addresses.
"Will they be standing tall later tonight?" JBL wonders.
"We'll see but Seth and Sarah are leaving." Jerry finishes as we run up the ramp and exit through the curtain.
"That was wild." I chuckle as Colby and I catch our breath.
"You did great, I kind of like this new attitude of yours too." Colby admits.
I chuckle. "I've always told people I'm the devil."
"You took in the heat amazingly well too."
"As did you."
"How do you feel?"
"Buzzed, I've never run away before."
"Well heel's do that a lot."
"I've seen you run away a lot ."
"Are you insulting me?"
"Maybe, what are you going to do about it?"
He grins. "Lot's of things." he whispers and walks towards me. I gulp and hear voices from behind me as the guys come back from the ring.
"Well I better find the girls." I say stepping back a little.
"Good job out there." Jon praises.
"Thanks." I say and walk off not before turning back towards Colby. "Text me."
Once the show is over I find Nikki and Nattie. "You ready to go?" Nicole asks.
"Yeah, you want me to drive?" I ask.
"Yes please, I'm sore."
"Let's go." Nattie says packing up her stuff.
We walk out to the rental cars just as Colby and the guys are leaving. "Bye boys." I farewell.
"Are you driving straight through?" Joe asks.
"We are starving so a in a couple hours we might pull over at a diner and eat, let us know if you're near us and join us."
"Will do, drive safe." Colby advises and I smile.
"We will."
