I wake up the next morning feeling strong arms wrapped around me. I lift my head and see it's Colby. A smile appears on my face at how last night went, we didn't have sex but we had fun making out. I decide not to wake him and lay my head back down at the crook of his neck and his arms instantly hold me tighter.
I feel myself falling asleep when a hand starts to rub my back. "Morning." Colby's hushed voice greets.
"Morning."
"How you feeling?"
"I'm good but I don't want to leave."
He chuckles. "Are you going to miss me?"
"No I just don't want to leave the bed."
He bolts up and rolls me underneath him. "You're dead." he says and starts to tickle my sides and I try to get away.
"Colby, stop, omg, no." I squeal.
He continues to tickle me and laughs. "Now that I know your weakness I have more power."
"You're a dick."
"That you like."
"I'm changing my mind."
"Sure you are, you're stuck with me now sweetheart."
"Is that so?" I ask amused.
"Very much so."
"Noted." I smile and pull him towards me and his face buries into my neck and I wrap my arms around him tightly. "Well I need to shower."
"Is that an invitation?"
"Nope." I answer quickly. "But I won't lock the door." I alert and he pounces off the bed and picks me up over his shoulder. "Colby put me down."
"No can do sweetheart."
The next week flies by and it's time for Raw. I arrive in St Louis Monday morning and make my way to the hotel. As I'm unpacking the door to my room it opens. "Yo Serena you in?" A voice calls out.
I drop my stuff and bolt to the hallway to see my best friend. "April." I squeal.
"Serena." she retorts and we run at each other and land on the floor laughing.
"How are you, how was your honeymoon?"
"I'm good and my honeymoon was really good."
"I can't believe you're back."
"Me either, get used to is sister I'm back and ready to get my title back."
"That's not happening."
"We'll see about that."
After getting settled we head. to the gym for a workout. As we are setting up Colby and Jon enter. They notice us Jon whispers something to Colby and he doesn't like it and he pushes him playfully. April notices where I'm looking and turns her head. "Someone's blushing." she teases.
"Shut it Punk."
The guys approach us. "Look who's back." Jon greets.
April smiles. "It's good to see you both."
"How's married life?" Colby asks.
"Good, how's being a sell out?" She retorts.
"It's great, I even have a partner in crime too."
"True." I confirm smiling.
"Where about to start but we'll catch up with you later." Jon offers.
"Sounds good." April finishes. After a good sweat April and I are sitting down on the floor drinking water. "Since when have you liked CrossFit?"
"Since Colby got me into it."
"What's going on between you two anyway?"
I look up at her. "As I told you at the wedding we're seeing each other but we aren't publicising it yet. We want to do things right."
"It's good seeing you happy."
"It is." I smile.
April and I arrive at the arena and head straight to the locker room where we find Nikki, Saraya, Trinity, Ariane and Nattie. "Hey." I greet as April follows after me.
"April." They all squeal.
"Hi." She greets.
"How are you?" Nattie asks.
"Good and yourself?"
"Good."
"We have a meeting." I remind Saraya and April.
"Right." Saraya remembers.
We make it to Talent Relations where Mark, Jane and Stephanie are. "Hi." We greet.
"Hi ladies, and April it's so good to see you." Stephanie greets.
"You too Steph." April replies.
"We want to go over what's next for you three." Mark addresses us.
"What's happening?" Saraya asks.
"Tonight is all about AJ returning and continuing the feud between Sarah and Paige." Jane announces.
"Now that Sarah and Paige are both are heels, we need a baby face to break it up, so we will build it up as a triple threat at Money in the Bank." Stephanie continues.
"Tonight will start with Sarah in the ring, where Paige will come out and have a few words." Jane adds. "Lastly AJ will come out and this will lead to a repeat match between Paige and AJ, with AJ winning."
"That's all for tonight?" I ask.
"There will be a backstage segment involving Seth, Sarah and The Authority, we will be making you an Seth an on-screen couple." Stephanie announces. My eyes go wide and both Saraya and April laugh. "The fans have seen the chemistry between you two, so we want to make that develop into something."
"Can I ask how this will eventually go?" I question.
"Eventually we'll be bringing Nicole into the title picture, as we want to see you all work together." Stephanie replies. "But thats all down the line, the first step is to get through Money in the Bank and Battleground."
"Sounds interesting and I'm glad Nikki gets a shot too."
"That's all for now ladies, have a good show tonight." Mark wishes.
I head to hair and makeup where I get dolled up. My hair is half up and half down with a fishtail braid and loose curls. I then put on a navy blue two piece suit, with high waisted tailored pants and a matching off the shoulder crop top with long sleeves. I finish off the look off with black heels.
I walk into the locker room and some of the ladies have to do a double take. "My god, you look sexy." Nicole compliments.
"Thanks, I'm trying to look sexy but still dress like an authority figure, a mini Stephanie." I explain.
"You definately have that down." Trinity approves. "Any scenes with Mr Sellout?"
"Yes tonight actually."
"Anything juicy?" Nicole wonders.
"You'll have to find out."
The show begins and I make my way towards catering where I see Colby in a suit as well. "You copycat." I say loudly.
He turns around and sees my appearance and laughs. "No mam, you're copying me." He retorts.
Paul and Stephanie walk over to us. "Well what do we have here, a couple of mini me's." Paul teases.
We laugh it off. "You both look great but you two are needed with us for our segment." Stephanie directs.
We follow them into a room which is set up with several posters, a couch and other items inside. The director comes in and goes over our blocking and before we know it we are given the signal.
The screen comes on and Stephanie and Triple H appear and the crowd give them a loud mixed reaction. "We wanted to formally welcome you two to The Authority." Stephanie begins and the camera pans to Seth and I and the crowd instantly boo us.
"Steph, Hunter, we are privileged to be joining you and making The Authority so much better." I respond and the crowd boo some more.
"Sarah is right; we are the future of this company and being aligned with you, we have mapped out our futures with two of the best in this company." Seth continues.
"We hand-picked you two for a reason, so I don't doubt you will do amazing things with us guiding you." Triple H predicts.
"Now that you've explained yourselves, it's time for you to show everyone here that you don't care what they think, focus on showing them how good you two really are." Stephanie encourages.
"We plan to Steph, I mean with you two as our mentors how could we not." I retort and the crowd boos.
"Don't listen to these stupid people."
"Oh these people here in St Louis, they are nothing." I laugh and they chuckle as the crowd boo loudly. "Look at Seth and I, we are the future of this company, they are just jealous that we have lives they've only dreamed of."
"We just wanted to welcome you to our family and if you ever need anything, just ask." Triple H finishes and leaves with Stephanie.
"I like this look you're going for." Seth compliments once Steph and Triple H have left.
"This look?" I ask turning around and I hear some wolf whistles come from the crowd. "I look hot right."
"Sure do." Seth agrees and I smile at him and the crowd seem to notice that there is something in the air between us.
"I like the look you're going for too." I compliment.
"I do look good in a suit."
"Better shirtless." I blurt out and instantly regret it and everyone laughs.
"I knew you were checking me out." he chuckles and walks off leaving me speechless.
"Sarah got caught." JBL says elatedly watching on.
"Hey, I'm not the only one that checks you out."
It's time for my next segment. I meet up April and Saraya at the gorilla. "Hi." I greet.
"Great segment earlier, you really look like a mini Steph with that suit on." April mentions.
"That's what we are trying to achieve." I explain.
"Your moment with Colby was cute too." Saraya chimes in.
My music starts and the crowd instantly boo me and I turn to face the ladies and wink.
I walk out to my music 'Sledgehammer' by Fifth Harmony and the crowd are on their feet booing. I stand at the top of the ramp with my title and make my way down to the ring. "Here comes our Divas Champion." JBL says excitedly.
I get in the ring and grab a mike and the crowd continue to boo me as my music dies. I bring the mike up to my lips but they continue. I point the mike towards the crowd and hold to them and gesture to my ear mocking them. "It looks like the champ doesn't care." Cole announces.
"She sure doesn't." Jerry agrees.
They quiet down. "Got all of that out?" I ask the crowd and they boo. "Oh shut up." I scold and they boo louder. "I have all the time in the world so come on keep going, you all give up after five minutes." I tease laughing. "It seems like everyone still doesn't get that I don't care what you all think of me." I address. "I'm the Diva's Champion and no one has come close to beating me for this title."
"There have been a few close calls." Cole chimes in.
"Ever since I arrived here, I have told everyone that I'll be the best diva in that locker room, even if it meant that I had to join forces with the best people in this company." I announce and the crowd boo. "You can call me names, hate on me, but no one can come close to my level of ability in this ring and right now I am at the top of my game and I'm only going to get better." I promise and receive a loud mixed reaction. "Since I've come back from my injury, all I have done day in and day out is wrestle with everything I have." I continue. "I put my body on the line and I still don't get the praise I should be. You all think I sold out because I took the easy way out, well I didn't, because I bought in." I enforce and the crowd boo loudly.
I'm about to continue when Paige's music starts and the crowd give her a loud mixed reaction as she walks out. "What's Paige doing out here?" Cole asks.
Paige walks down to the ring and I'm not happy, who does she think she is? "How dare you interrupt me!" I shout and the crowd ooh.
"Calm down Sarah." She urges.
"What are you doing out here?"
"I heard some of the stuff that you were saying and you know what, you're right."
"What?"
"You've changed this divas division but it took me to take you there." she states and the crowd give a loud mixed reactions.
"It took you?" I ask in disbelief. "No it didn't, if it wasn't for me, this division would be stale and collapsing." I disagree and get a loud mixed reaction.
"You're right, but if it wasn't for me, you would have never had those matches."
"What do you want me to do?"
"I want you to thank me."
"Thank you." I scoff. "If anything you should be thanking me. If I didn't suggest the match for your debut against AJ you would have been a nobody."
"That's not true, and if AJ were here right now, I would do it again in a blink."
"I'd doubt that, you see even though AJ and I despise one another, we have one thing in common."
"What's that?"
"We've both been divas champions and you haven't." I answer and the crowd "oohs".
Paige is about to respond when AJ Lee's music starts and the arena erupts. "OMG it isn't?" the announcers shout.
Paige and I whip our heads towards the ramp and AJ skips out and the crowd go berserk.
"It's AJ Lee." Cole shouts.
AJ skips down the ramp and ventures around the ring before getting in the ring. Her music dies and the crowd start to cheer in excitement and chant. "CM Punk, CM Punk, CM Punk."
"I can't believe it, AJ is back." Jerry says excitedly.
"This has just got a lot more interesting." JBL admits.
The chants stops and Paige and I look at AJ in shock. "Hi girls." AJ waves. "It's good to be back." she says gleefully. "I just wanted to say, that while I've been out I wanted to tell you two personally that you two were right."
"What?" Paige and I mumble.
"You two proved me wrong." She responds. "When I was Divas Champion, I let the success go to my head, and when I got the but kicking from you Sarah, and the shock of a loss over you Paige, it made me realise that there are people here that can make me better." AJ admits. "So I want to thank both of you for making me realise that."
"You're serious?" I ask shocked.
"Yes, for a whole 9 months I was champion, I never had a challenger like you and when you beat me all those times, I was jealous." She confesses. "But after seeing what you both have done, I just had to come back and be apart of it."
"I hate to break it to you AJ, but whilst you've been gone, the division has changed and it's going to take a whole lot more than a thank you for you to be apart of it." I respond and the crowd boo.
AJ ignores me and turns to face Paige. "Paige I wanted to come out here and thank you too, because you also proved to me that I let the ego go to my head and when you beat me I needed to be taught a lesson."
"AJ. How stupid do you think I am?" she retorts. "You are doing the same thing I did to you after Wrestlemania, and I get it, you're coming down here to goat me in for a rematch for poetic justice isn't going to happen."
"Aww come on Paige." I tease.
"I was actually down here to get a rematch against Sarah." AJ retorts and the crowd cheers.
I turn to face her and start shaking my head. "Nope, not happening." I decline quickly and the crowd boo.
"I know, because now that you have all this power, and you have people that will save you, I'm going to work for that title." She replies. "I want to prove to myself that Paiges win over me was a fluke." She continues. "So, I'm asking for a rematch Paige, and if I win, at Money in the Bank it will be a triple threat match for the Divas Championship." AJ suggests and the crowd cheers with excitement.
"What, no!" I decline.
"I accept." Paige replies and the crowd cheer loudly. "I'm going to prove to you that it wasn't a fluke and that I'm not the naïve girl that debuted a couple months ago."
"What are you doing?" I shriek. "She can't go adding herself like that."
"Don't worry Sarah, it'll be just like it's always been, you and me fighting for that title."
"You better win, because for once. I'm rooting for you."
"Don't worry I've got this."
"You better."
"Are we going to see a match?" Cole wonders.
"So are you in?" AJ asks again. "If I win, I'm added to the title picture and it becomes a triple threat?"
"Deal." Paige accepts and the crowd cheer in excitement.
I storm out of the ring and stand by the ramp angrily. "Sarah is not happy." Cole observes.
"I'm sure whatever the outcome is, she'll sleep it off and overcome it like always." JBL replies.
A referee gets in the ring as Paige and AJ stand on opposite sides of each other and the referee rings the bell. AJ immediately charges at Paige and jumps on her back wrapping her legs around Paige and starts hitting her with punches but Paige throws her off her and she lands on her back. "Good." I praise.
AJ goes to get up but Paige kicks her in the face and the crowd give a mixed reaction. "Paige is really hammering into AJ." Cole alerts.
"She is, she's showing everyone that it wasn't a fluke." JBL responds.
Paige grabs AJ by her hair and starts delivering head butts over and over and over again.
Paige pulls AJ up and whips her into the corner. Paige goes to run at her but AJ jumps holding the top ropes and kicks Paige away. AJ runs towards her but Paige takes her down with a closeline not allowing AJ to get any offense in. "Paige with a close line." Jerry announces. "She's not letting AJ have any fighting chance."
The crowd start to chant for AJ which is starting to piss of Paige off. Paige covers "1, 2." but AJ kicks out. "And AJ kicks out." Cole announces.
"Come on finish her." I yell out.
"Shut up." Paige shouts.
"Focus on your match."
Paige pulls AJ up and starts screaming at her. "Come on AJ." Paige taunts and the crowd boo. "This is my house now."
"It is not." I disagree and some of the crowd laugh.
Paige turns to look at me and grabs AJ again but AJ slaps Paige hard across the face and the crowd ooh. "What a slap." JBL exclaims.
AJ quickly gets to her feet and rolls Paige up. "1, 2 and 3." and the crowd erupt into cheers.
I scream in anger. "No." I shout. "No. No, no." Paige sits up in shock as AJ esacpes the ring and the crowd cheers her on. "This isn't happening."
"AJ beat Paige, it's a Triple Threat Match at Money in the Bank." Jerry exclaims.
"You did this." I shriek. The crowd cheer AJ as she leans against the barricade. I make my way up the ramp with a mike. "You just had to lose." I shriek into the mike and the crowd boo. "This is on you Paige, because now you've pissed me off, I'm done, Money in the Bank I will do what I always do, I'll beat both your asses."
We leave the arena and as we exit we bump into the guys. "Good stuff tonight." I praise.
"You too." Jon retorts. "So you complain now huh?"
"Yeah it comes with being a heel."
"You're doing great."
"Thanks."
Everyone continues to walk ahead as Colby stays back with me. "After the Smackdown taping tomorrow night, I'm taking you out."
I look up at him smiling. "No please in that? I tease.
He grins. "There was no choice in the matter."
"I could have had plans."
"Sure you do." He winks and walks off.
