Enjoy chapter 99!
The week goes by and Battleground is here. I got my wrist checked out and I have a slight sprain. I've been cleared to wrestle but I'm not to do anything risky, so April and I will have to work a match around that.
I arrive in LA with Colby and we make our way to the arena. It's crazy to think a year ago I was in a completely different head space. I was dealing with a stalker, a coworker that couldn't take a hint and fighting my inner demons and injuries, but now a year later I can see how far I have come.
"Nervous about today?" Colby asks.
I nod. "Yeah, I haven't really thought about it, but a year ago I was injured here, it's just bringing back memories."
"You should be proud of how far you've come."
"I am, it's just the little thoughts you know and just remembering that day."
"Lots happened; we confronted you, you broke your neck, that's hard to deal with."
"It was, but I guess I'm thankful for it, I needed the help."
"Proud of you babe."
I smile. "Thanks."
"Now do I need to remind you to take it easy tonight?"
"No you don't, because I'm not going to do anything too risky."
"Good."
After getting my schedule I depart from Colby as I am getting my hair coloured. I spoke to creative and I feel like I want my hair darker, and they approved it, so I've arrived earlier to get it done.
About an hour and a half later Amy has finished with my hair. My hair is now completely brown. I've also put in some new extensions of the same volume and length too. I take a look at my finished hair and I hate to be vain but I look hot!
After my hair is done Amy gets to work on my make up which is a gold smokey eye. I then make my way to Sandra. She pulls out my gear. "My god Sandra that is badass." I express.
"I think this is one of my favourites." She responds. "And girl the hair is awesome."
"Thanks."
"Now go get this on and I'll tape you in." She orders.
My gear tonight is black leather crop top with a deep V and a thick white band and gold stars. The bottoms are gold with the same white strap and gold stars.
Once I'm finished getting ready I go in search of my friends. I'm currently walking into catering when I hear a loud wolf whistle. I turn my head and look to the left to find Jon, Renee and Colby. "Ouch." Jon groans rubbing his side as Renee has gutted him with her elbow.
I walk over to them and I see Colby's eyes have gone wide and dark, that only means one thing, he's turned on and he's struggling to keep his cool. "OMG Serena." Renee gasps.
"Yeah I know, it's little different." I respond.
"You actually suit brunette, I thought you were hot as a blonde but as a brunette you're a smoke show."
"Well thanks." I chuckle. "It will take a bit of time to get used to but so far I love it."
"You look great babe and I see someone else agrees with me, so I'll leave you two alone." Renee offers and grabs Jon's arm and walks away sending me a sly grin.
I turn to face Colby and he is eyeing me up and down. I take a step forward and feel the electricity between us. We are turned on and Colby's look right now is making me want him more. "Wow." Colby gulps.
I smile. "Just wow."
"More than wow, you're smoking hot babe, I don't think I can control myself in public."
I smirk. "I could say the same about you babe, you're every fan girls dream."
"No, no babe, this is beyond unfair, you're literally going to have every male drooling."
I laugh loudly. "You think so?"
"Oh I know so, did you not just see Jon?"
I laugh. "So you like it?"
He smirks pulling me closer to him and I can feel the pull that we have towards one another. "Babe I more than like, I want to pick you up, take you into a closet and have my way with you."
I gasp turned on. "Wow, that much?"
He nods and I see his eyes go darker. "So what do you say?"
"Lead the way." I accept grinning and he growls scooping me up which makes me squeal.
Colby carries me to a broom closet and we dash inside. As soon as I have my back against the door he slams me against it and kisses me roughly and I'm sunk. I melt into his embrace and he picks me up and I wrap my legs around his waist and feel his erection poking my centre.
I come up for breath and look down at him. "Told you." He smirks and attacks my sweet spot.
"Agh." I moan letting him take control. Colby starts fondling my breasts holding me up with one arm and I moan. His hand starts to travel south and make there way to my shorts. He picks up pace and adds a second. "Fuck you're wet." He growls.

I quickly unzip his fly and pull his pants down and his erection springs free and I grin. He responds with a grin of his own and lifts me up removing his fingers, which I frown at be he instantly smirks and pulls me down and buries himself in me. "Oh fuck." After Colby and I's tryst in the broom closet I quickly fix myself up and make sure everything is in tact and I head back to the locker room to find April. When I enter I find Saraya, Renee, Trinity and April. "Hey." I greet.
"OMG you're hair." Saraya exclaims.
"Yeah I know."
"Is that where you've been all day?"
"Yes, but not all day."
"Where were you just now?"
"With Colby."
Renee laughs. "You two had a quickie didn't you?"
I blush. "Ooh scandalous. How was it?" Saraya teases.
"Okay, that's enough." I respond.
"Are you ready for our match?" April asks.
I nod. "Yes, there are a few things I wanted to go over with you?"
"What?"
"It's going to be a more slow paced match due to my wrist, but I want to do one thing onto the outside just to not be so ordinary."
"What did you have in mind?"
Once we have gone over the match the show starts and eventually it time for me to go to gorilla. I go in search of Colby who is in my corner tonight. I make it at gorilla and find him there with Stephanie and Paul. "OMG Serena you're hair." Stephanie gasps.
"Different I know." I respond.
"Good different."
"Did you go over the match with April?" Paul asks.
"Yes. We have a basic outline of what we want so hopefully it works out."
April arrives. "You ready?" She asks me.
"Always." I respond.
The match before ours finishes and our video package plays. Once it's finished April's music hits and the crowd erupt into cheers. I grab onto Colby's arm and as April gets in the ring my music blasts and the crowd boo loudly.
I walk out with Seth and we stand at the top of the ramp laughing as the crowd boo us loudly. "And her opponent, being accompanied by Mr Money in the Bank, Seth Rollins, from Seattle Washington, she is the Divas Champion, Sarah." Justin announces.
"Sarah has died her hair." Cole notices.
"She looks amazing," Jerry compliments.
"She does." JBL agrees.
Seth and I make it to the ring and I get inside. He stays on the outside and makes his way to commentary. "Joining us on commentary, is Mr Money in the Bank, Seth Rollins." Cole welcomes as Seth grabs a head set. "Seth welcome."
"Thanks for having me, I love coming out here and having a first class seat." He responds.
I hold my tittle tightly as my music dies and the crowd get loud. "The crowd just picked up." Jerry observes.
"It sure has." Seth agrees.
I hand my title to the ref and he raises it above his head. "There it is. The championship is on the line. This is going to be AJ's last chance, so let's see if she is successful."
"Doubtful." Seth mumbles.
"What was that?" Cole asks.
"I said doubtful Cole."
"Cole, don't speak to Seth like that." JBL scolds.
The referee puts the belt down and once back in the centre he rings the bell. "And this match is underway." Jerry announces.
AJ and I stand face to face soaking it in. We start to circle one another and we lock up. I push her into the corner and get counted for four and back up. I smirk. "Come on AJ." I taunt and the crowd boo.
"Sarah already trying to get into the head of AJ." Cole announces.
"She's good at that." Seth chuckles.
AJ and I lock up again and she pushes me into the corner and gets counted for four and backs up. "Come on Sarah." She mocks and the crowd cheer.
"Real original."
We lock up again and I over power her and pull her into a head lock. I manoeuvre her, so we are on the floor and squeeze tightly. "Looks like Sarah is wanting to stay grounded tonight." Jerry mentions.
The crowd start to cheer AJ on and I shake my head. AJ makes it to her feet and elbows me in the stomach which makes me lose my hold which allows her to escape and deliver a standing drop kick. "Drop kick by AJ." Cole announces.
I get straight back up but AJ runs the ropes and delivers a running drop kick which kicks me out of the ring. AJ gets up excitedly and the crowd cheers her on. "AJ just dropped kicked Sarah out of the ring." Jerry exclaims.
I look up at her shocked. "Sarah doesn't look happy. That seems to be a pattern lately." JBL comments.
"This is nothing, AJ got Sarah on a bad night, she fights back like always." Seth defends.
I make my way around the ring and slowly get back in. "Come on Sarah." AJ taunts.
I instantly charge at her and take her down and the crowd boo and I unload hard punches. "See boys, she flips a switch and changes her game." Seth confirms.
AJ and I roll out of the ring with a thud and the crowd cheer as we continue to go at it.
I quickly get the upper hand and ram AJ into the barricade and she cries out in pain and falls to the ground. I start laughing as the crowd boo thunderously. "Pathetic." I shout and the crowd continues to boo loudly. "Oh boo hoo, get over it."
Seth chuckles. "Gotta love her spunk."
I turn around to go back on the attack but AJ rams me back first into the LED screen on the apron. "Ahh." I yell out as the crowd cheer. AJ pulls me up and throws me into the barricade and I land on my left hand. "Agh." I shriek.
"Sarah just landed on her taped hand." Cole exclaims. "Remember on Monday she landed on it, maybe she did more damage than we thought."
"She's tough." Seth reassures.
"That she is." JBL agrees.
AJ pulls me up and rolls me back in the ring. She quickly follows after me and covers "1." but I kick out quickly. "A quick kick out by Sarah." Cole announces.
"It's going to take a lot more than that." Seth responds.
AJ runs the ropes but I drop down and grab her foot into a drop toe hold and she falls on her face. I quickly get up and run the ropes and deliver a drop. I cover "1,2." but she kicks out. I pull her up and deliver a snap suplex. I cover again "1." but she kicks out again. "Come on."
"Sarah with two quick covers but AJ kicks out easily." Jerry announces.
I stay on AJ and put her into another head lock. I squeeze tightly but the crowd starts cheering her on. She slowly gets to her feet and quickly grabs my arm and reverses it into a arm drag and I quickly hop up. AJ delivers a quick drop kick, runs the ropes and delivers a leg drop. She covers "1,2." but I kick out. "Come on Sarah." Seth cheers.
AJ glares at me and pulls me up and whips me into the corner and I land with a thud. AJ charges at me and delivers a drop kick into the corner and the crowd erupt and as she connects. "Ooh." The crowd echo. "That was powerful." Cole exclaims.
"Sarah's tough Michael, shes been through worse." Seth reminds him.
AJ steps back and runs at me and delivers double knees to me in the corner. She quickly pulls me out and covers me "1, 2." but I kick out. AJ sits up frustrated and pulls me up by my hair. She runs the ropes but I follow her and as she bounces off I deliver a boot to the face. "Ooh." The crowd echo and boo.
AJ falls to the mat and I start laughing as I stand up dusting off my hands. "Pathetic." I taunt and the crowd boo thunderously.
"I love it when she does that." Seth chuckles.
"Of course you would." Cole mumbles.
"What was that?"
"Nothing."
"Michael I would watch how you speak to our future WWE champion." JBL warns.
I pull AJ up by her hair and deliver a neck breaker. I cover "1,2." but she kicks out. I pull her up and whip her into the corner. I run at her and squish her into the corner again. I raise my foot and press it into to her neck. I get counted by the ref "1, 2, 3, 4" and I let go laughing.
I run at her but she grabs hold of the two top ropes and jumps up onto the middle rope and does a commando roll over the top of me. I quickly turn around as she runs the rope and she delivers a running drop kick and the crown cheer loudly. She quickly covers me "1, 2" but I kick out. "Come on." She shrieks frustratedly.
"It looks like AJ has started to get a little frustrated." Cole notices.
AJ gets up and you can see in her eyes she's had enough. "I've had it."
I slowly get up and turn to face her. I hobble to my feet and we are both standing toe to toe breathing hard. I smirk. "Sarah's smirking." Jerry alerts.
"Her plan worked." Seth smiles.
"I knew you'd eventually have had to channel your inner crazy." I say aloud.
Her eyes go wide. "What did you say?"
"Uh oh." The announces mumble. "Sarah just called AJ crazy."
Out of no where she lets out a scream and jumps and takes me down. "AJs lost it." Cole exclaims.
AJ gets on top of me and starts unloading left and rights. "I'm not crazy." She shouts as the crowd cheer.
"She's acting crazy." Seth retorts.
I overpower her and unload punch after punch. We continue this and roll ourselves out of the ring. We get up and we charge at one another, I'm a little bit quicker and take her down with a close line. AJ gets up and I wait for her to stand and I kick her in the gut and deliver a suplex on the outside of the ring. I quickly grab her and roll her back in the ring. I cover her "1,2." but she kicks out. I pull my hair frustrated. "Looks like Sarah is frustrated too." Jerry mentions.
"She has little patience, but she always finds a way to overcome it." Seth defends.
I look to the corner and smirk. "Whenever Sarah smirks it never ends well." Cole worries.
I stand and pull AJ into the corner. "Is Sarah setting up for The Sarah Splash?" JBL wonders.
I kick her in the mid section to add insult to injury and the crowd get loud on their feet as I start to climb the corner. "Guys remember, it was this paper view last year that Sarah broke her neck, I wonder what is going through her mind?"
Seth leans forward watching intentlly. "Come on babe." He whispers.
I make it to the top rope and turn my head to see if AJ is still down. I brace myself and I jump high into The Sarah Splash, and land AJ rolls out of the way and I land hard on my left arm."
"Agh." I scream out in pain.
"OMG, AJ just rolled out of the way, and Sarah landed on the hardest part of the ring landing on her bad arm too." Cole shouts as the crowd erupt into chaos. "Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit."
"That didn't look good." JBL worries.
"No it didn't." Seth agrees.
I hold my arm in pain as AJ quickly capitalises and covers me "1, 2 and." at the last second I kick out. "OMG." The crowd erupt. AJ looks shocked holding her head. "AJ can't believe it, she almost had her." Cole shouts.
I roll to the side and out of the ring and lean against the apron holding my arm. I can feel the tears coming as I clutch my arm. I've done something bad now.
AJ stands up on the apron and is waiting for me to turn around. As I turn she jumps but I duck and does forward roll, this allows me to stand up and as she gets to her feet she turns back around and I deliver a nasty super kick right to her chin. "Holy shit." The crowd echo and give a loud mixed reaction. "Holy shit, holy shit."
"OMG, Sarah just about took AJs head off." Jerry shouts.
"But can she get her back in the ring?" Cole wonders.
"Sarah is as tough as they come, she can do anything she puts her mind to. Even if she is injured. She's been through a lot more." Seth assures.
I grab April with my good arm and slowly pull her up. "I need to finish." I whisper. She squeezes my hand as a response and helps me with manoeuvring herself up back into the ring.
I follow her in and cover "1, 2 and." just before the referee hits the three she kicks out at the last second."
"OMG, AJ kicked out." The announcers shout as the crowd cheer excitedly and chant "this is awesome, this is awesome."
"It sure is, and these two divas are battling it out here tonight, and it looks like Sarah has flipped." JBL notices as I shriek.
"Maybe AJ finally has her number," Jerry wonders.
"Don't count her out yet." Seth defends.
I use the ropes as leverage and wait for her to get up. "What's Sarah'thinking?" JBL wonders.
Seth turns to face them. "She wants to finish this."
AJ gets on all fours and using the ropes I branch off and I deliver a nasty Curb Stomp onto AJs head and the impact is heard around the arena and the crowd let out a huge mixed reaction. "Curb stomp." Cole shouts.
"Beautiful." Seth exclaims.
"It was." JBL agrees.
I quickly cover AJ "1, 2 and 3, ring the bell."
"She did it." Seth says excitedly.
"Here is your winner and still WWE Divas Champion, Sarah." Justin announces and the crowd let out loud mixed reaction.
Seth stands up clapping. "If you excuse me boys I have someone to congratulate." He addresses and makes his way into the ring as the ref raises my good arm. Seth climbs in and approaches me. He starts clapping loudly and hugs me. "You okay?" Colby asks. I shake my head and get back into character.
Seth hugs me and raises my good arm again and embraces me before helping me out of the ring. He assists me up the ramp and we turn around. I smirk seeing AJ laying in the ring and the crowd boo. "There you have it, Sarah successfully defends her title yet again." JBL says excitedly. "I can't wait until tomorrow, a huge celebration will be happening."
"Of course you would be excited." Cole grumbles.
"Don't hate the game fellas it's a bad look." JBL jokes.
We make it to the top of the ramp and I raise my title high above head. I turn to face Seth and he pecks me on the lips and the crowd give a loud reaction. "They do make a good looking couple." Jerry hates to admit.
Once back through the curtain I collapse into Colby's side. "Ouch." I whisper.
He turns to face me and I sit down on an empty chair. "Is it broken?" He asks concerned as doc comes over.
"Let me check it out." Doc responds assessing my arm and I wince. "I thought you were only doing easy spots."
"I was doc."
He looks at me raising an eyebrow. "Sure it was."
"Is it broken?"
"I won't know until I get an X-ray and scan so it's straight to the hospital."
"Now?" I question.
"It's better to know what we are dealing with straight away so we can come up with a plan."
"I'll ask for someone to bring a car around." Stephanie says peering over me.
I smile. "Thanks."
"Get checked, and then you and I need to have a talk about easy spots."
"Oh boy."
"Yes oh boy, I thought we discussed no high risks?"
"We did and in my defence that to me wasn't high risk, but I also wanted to recreate the moment from last year."
"You should have told us so we could have padded that corner."
"Sorry." I apologise.
"You should be, you have us worried Serena." Paul chimes in. "We can talk more later but go to the hospital and get checked okay."
"I'll make sure she rests." Colby adds.
"Good." Steph finishes and they walk off.
Walking to the car Colby casual caresses my arm. "Are you mad at me?" I ask quietly.
He nods his head. "A little bit yes, I'm more upset than anything." He replies. "I had to witness it out there babe. I care about you, but the way you go out there and don't think about you're health and body sometimes it scares me."
We stop walking and I turn to face him. "I'm sorry, I truly am." I apologise. "I sometimes forget that I have people around that love me now. I'm so used to being on my own."
"You aren't alone anymore babe, but at the rate you're going you could end you're career." He expresses. "And I know you don't want that, so next time please just speak to Vince, or Paul or me, before you do something like that."
I nod. "I will and I am sorry."
"You're forgiven."
