(Instrumental) – (As the music begins were shown the forms of both Arthur, fully armored, and Ryuichi in his Kuoh Academy uniform as they appear standing back to back in darkness with their swords pointed to the ground before all fades to darkness and then the title appears.)
High School DxD: Heir of Camelot
(I'm stuck in a never-ending dream. Where my wishes and hopes cannot be seen) – (As the title fades were shown Ryuichi as he stands in Glastonbury Abbey looking over King Arthur's grave in thought.)
(And it's killing me, but I can't let go) – (In the main room of the ORC, Rias is shown to be looking out the main window with a forlorn look in her eyes before closing them in sad contemplation. A tear falls from her right eye as she thinks of Ryuichi.)
(There's a sadness raining down on me. And the future is looking oh so bleak) – (Ryuichi stands in forested area of Kuoh Academy in the middle of the rain as he summons the Invisible Air in his hands, looking upon the blade wondering what form it really is. Rias watches him from outside with an umbrella over her head as her fears manifest in the form of Riser Phenex with his back behind her yet on fire.)
(But I'm holding on, so dearly, to precious memories) – (The two then suddenly turn to and see each other from their respective spots looking back at each other with longing in their eyes and smiling at each other. Rias' fears in the form of Riser banish away in the process as the Rain stops and the sun soon shines through the clouds.)
(To protect the ones I cherish I've got to be stronger) – (The scene then changes to the rest of the ORC, Issei, Kiba, Koneko, Asia, and Akeno, in the daytime as everyone is together talking and enjoying tea as Ryuichi looks in the mirror and sees King Arthur's visage over his.)
(Don't want to hesitate, I wanna to be braver) – (The scene then cuts to Kiba and Ryuichi standing far with their blades drawn for training as the two swordsmen prepare to duel with the rest of the ORC cheering them on.)
(So no matter what may come I can face the morning sun) – (The next scene then turns dark as it shows the Fallen Angel group, with Dohnaseek, Mittelt, and Kalawarner sitting in the rooftop of the church and ray are levitating above them, and a large group of stray exorcists on ground floor.)
(Brave Shine!) – (The two sides begin their conflict, with Ryuichi engaging Dohnaseek with his Invisible Air as sparks fly.)
(Cause you brought me to your world and gave me light) – (Rias and Akeno then blast the large group of Exorcists with both lighting and Power of Destruction, clearing away a good amount of them as Koneko unleashes a shockwave by slamming her fist to the floor, erupting the earth and taking out many of them too.)
(On the night I suffered most, you saved my life) – (The scene then pans to Kiba and Freed as the two attempt to strike the other with sparks flying between.)
(Wielding all the things that we believe in; A test of faith I know I can win) – (The scene then show Issei and Ryuichi as they take on Milttelt, Kalwarner, and Raynare. The next scene swiftly changes to Ryuichi charging up his sword with light before slamming it to the ground, blinding everything in yellow and white light.)
(I'll grant us love and peace for all time) – (The scene then cuts to Ryuichi after the fight as he stands with Excalibur in his hands as everyone rallies in front of the ruined church as the group then smiles at their newest friend and he walks to join them.)
(Cause you shine!) – (The last scene shows King Arthur's grave at Glastonbury Abbey with Excalibur stuck into the grave marker as the title card shows once again.)

Chapter 4: Rescuing A Friend
As both me and Rias are sitting in the shower of the ORC, were both naked as I feel her then approach me from behind. Her breasts right against my back.
She begins to let off a red glow as I feel a calming aura to it. I guess this is what she did for Issei and what Akeno did for me.
However, since Asia mostly took care of Issei during the fight he make it out with light problem. Me, I took a bullet in the gut, so I had no choice but to accept her treatment.
"You know I would've expected a bigger reaction out of you, seeing a naked girl this close to you." She said teasingly.
"Well after you wake up and see a naked girl as the first thing you see, you're kind of desensitized to it all." I replied. She seemed taken aback by my comment and pouted.
"No fair, at least be a little embarrassed like you were with Akeno." She said as she started to playfully hit me on my back.
After a while, the glow ended, and she told me she was done. "Okay all set." She said.
"Thank you." I said as I exited the shower as I came out with my boxers on then my shorts. If I was paying attention I would've noticed the frown on Rias' face as I left.
Akeno then began to bandage me around my stomach. In the meantime all of us were discussing the events of last night.
"Well Ryuichi you'll have to take it easy before your full-strength returns. Taking a holy bullet to the stomach has nasty side-effects, its impressive you took in straight on and remained standing." Rias said as she began running the shower.
"If I remember that guy said he was a stray exorcist right? What does that mean?" Issei inquired.
"Many of them got the boot from the church for being more zealous then their peers, so many fall into the service of Fallen Angels." Kiba explained.
"Hold on, you can't be saying Asia's in the same camp as those dickwads right?" Issei asked angrily, but Kiba held his tongue.
"No, all were saying is that you're a dummy and that she's now in the service of a fallen one. That's just a fact Issei." Rias explained with a stern tone.
Issei looked upset at the fact of Asia's plight and that he couldn't do anything about it. I could understand his situation, that's why I promise to be more active now if even it means I have to lie to them. I'm doing it for their sake.
Kuoh Park
Deciding to calm my own head I decided to head out to the park and walk about the town. As I was passing by a local park I saw a familiar head of brown hair and saw him struggling on the monkey bars doing pull-ups.
"Ugh, that blew. I'm nothing but a sissy boy." Issei said complaining to himself.
"Well you'd have an easier time, if you'd just slow down." I said to him as I reached out a hand to help him up which he accepted, surprisingly.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"Well when it comes to pull-ups you shouldn't try to rush it or be too slow. For one do it too fast and your strength will wear out, and if you do it too slow you won't have any energy left and struggle to keep up." I explained to him
He listened intently to me as I explained it all to him. "The whole point is to find your balance then with just enough strength and grip pull yourself up at a comfortable pace, then do that until your good. Not to many and not any less otherwise you won't be able to advance further."
"Wow dude thanks. You make a fairly good teacher." He replied as he went back up the monkey bars and with me to guide him.
As he started again he began to do one then two and then finished with four until he let go without falling on his butt.
"Now I normally don't pry into people's reasons for things. But this wouldn't be about Asia would it?" I asked him.
His face went serious but then softened as he replied, "Yeah, I feel like a damn failure for not being able to help her. So I got to get stronger."
I could see the determination in his eyes until my eyes spotted someone familiar behind him. "Well don't look now because it seems fate just dropped you a gift, look behind you."
He did so and he was greeted by the sight of Asia Argento in her nun outfit. "Issei, it's you and you're one of his friends from yesterday. How do you do?" She introduced herself.
"My name's Ryuichi Naruse, it's a pleasure to meet you." Deciding to tease both her and Issei I then took her hand placed a soft kiss on it.
She began to blush a crimson red while Issei did the same, "It's not every day, you meet such a beautiful flower. So why are you here my lady?"
Issei looked on incredulously at how I was so easily flirting with her. Not gonna lie maybe I am just like Akeno. If I could be teased I could do it back it would probably take a while for a comeback against her though.
"Well I was actually looking walking around enjoying the town, and then I saw Issei and wanted to say hello again." She replied.
As the day went on the three of us went around town, although I mostly hung back and watched the two of them bond over games and other things.
As the day ended, we found ourselves near the same fountain as where Issei found himself during that fateful day.
I decided to make myself even scarcer this time as I hung back in the tree line in one of the trees much like last time. I knew Raynare would be around but she was after Asia not Issei or I so I could get the drop on her.
As the two were continuing to chat I could hear a faint ripple in the fountain as I heard the familiar voice of Raynare speak up, "Oh my how touching is this?"
"Lady Raynare." Asia said with fear in her voice.
"Oh right, forgot she's a fallen angel" Issei said remembering this isn't just some schoolgirl.
"So it's true, you have begun a downward spiral into devilry are true and I had such high hopes and Asia… don't even think about running." Raynare's voice now a threatening one.
"Begone, I want nothing to do with the evil you and the others have done. So… I ran away. I just didn't want to live under something like that." Asia confessed as she hid behind Issei.
"You don't have any reason to apologize. Your too good for these has-beens anyway. So, what do you want with me Yuuma?!" Issei demanded.
"Oh, don't worry I have no business with you. But if you want we can finish what we started. Too bad, your friend from then isn't here to save you again." Yuuma said as he drew up a light spear.
"Guess again, you black-clad bitch!" I said as raced from my hiding spot and the two of us clashed with Invisible Air sparking against her light spear.
"You again!? How dare you get in my way!" She bellowed out as our blades remained locked.
"Nice to know you remember me. But you don't seem to remember this!" Pushing her away I unleashed a barrage of slashes and her blocking or parrying such. Until she had enough and flew into the air.
Issei then summoned his own Gear and tried to get a hit in but she did the same and dodged it.
She then decided to look between the both of us and then she started laughing.
"Ahahaha!" She bellowed out as she seemed to be mocking us. "What's so damn funny you witch?!" Issei said angrily.
"This is all I have to contend with? Some wind sword and a Twice Critical? This is a joke right. That thing only boosts your power temporarily for a few seconds. You might as well try and hot me with sticks and stones." She replied.
"Oh you mean like that stone I hit you with back then right, the one that hit you in the face?" I taunted her which in hindsight was not a good idea as she scowled at me and started to focus her attention on me in particular.
"I'll get rid of you first, you're just a nuisance at this point!" She barred her fangs at me as the two of us continued to strike back and forth sparks flying until she got the upper hand and knocked me into a group of trees down below.
"Now to finish the job." She was poised ready to finish me until Issei came from behind her and sent her flying into a tree herself.
"You okay dude?" He asked me.
"Yeah, I'm good. Nothing to worry about." I got up as I felt a creak in my neck. "Where's Asia?"
"I told her to go hide herself after we started fighting she should hopefully get out of here." Issei told me as our attention was brought back to Raynare as she got up from her beating and looked at us anger in her eyes.
"I've had enough of you two!" She was pissed and it showed she drew up two light spears as she threw one at us and charged at us after that. However before we could dodge the one from before exploded. Sending us flying.
"Damn, forgot they could do that!" I thought to myself as Raynare flew above me again.
"This is just getting annoying so I'm just gonna kill you now!" She said but once again just as she was about to hit me Issei flying with his wings delivered a strong punch to Raynare's stomach sending her flying again.
"Issei I got an idea, keep her occupied!" He looked to me then shook his head and flew after her.
I looked at the partially destroyed forest and thought up an idea I picked up a stump from a nearby tree and yelled at Issei to comeback.
Just as the fallen bitch showed her face I spun and threw the stump at her she of course took the bait and sliced it up. But as she did that I came flying in front of her face and with one quick slash, a gash appeared across her stomach and blood started to flow out.
She fell to the ground clenching her chest but doubled over in pain. "Well that's done. We should find Asia and get back to the ORC, it'll have to be on foot, so we don't attract attention." I told Issei.
"Actually you won't be doing anything but letting my partner go." That was until a deep voice interrupted our thinking we both turned to see a man in a suit and fedora holding a light spear to Asia's throat.
"Asia!" Issei yelled as he attempted to move toward her but Dohnaseek was in charge now.
"I wouldn't make any hasty moves gentleman. I have the girl, so let my partner go and we all walk away scot free." He warned us as he brought the spear closer to her throat.
Looking between the two of us, Issei was in the most conflict but even he knew we had no choice in the matter. We stood aside as Raynare flew weakly back over to Dohnaseek and Asia.
"You messed up big time." He said to her. "Oh shut up, I didn't see you doing any fighting." She replied in pained annoyance.
"You boy with the wind sword, what's your name?" Dohnaseek turned and asked me.
"I'm Ryuichi Naruse."
"Very well, I'll remember you boy." He replied as the two left with Asia in tow Issei feel to his knees defeated.
"Hey, I know this looks bad, but if I told you I had a plan would you believe me?" I told him and his expression softened.
SLAP! SLAP!
We both got the slap treatment from our king as she then began to chide for facing off against a Fallen on our own.
"Fine then maybe it's about time you released me from your house then." Issei said to her denying of him rescuing Asia.
"Out of the question, the only reason either of you are alive is because two of you were there and just barely." She continued.
"So what, sure Ryuichi's a Rook and I can promote but what the hell can that do?" Issei said; so far, so good.
"A lot actually, if you were to say go into enemy territory that is officially recognized or designated by me you can promote to any of the other pieces and take on their abilities. Like say the Fallen's church for example." I can only inwardly grin at how this is coming together.
"Remember Sacred Gears respond to the emotions of the wielder. Just remember that." As Rias finishes her explanation, Akeno comes in and whispers southing in her King's ear and the two leave for some "important business."
"Well that worked out." I said with a smile on my face. "Yeah, I was almost sweating there for a second." Issei replied.
"Hold on, did you two just…" Kiba started but Koneko finished for him, "You lied to her."
"Yeah, but for a good cause. You're not against it are you guys?" I inquired of them.
They looked between themselves then nodded in agreement with a smile on Kiba's face while Koneko's was still as flat as ever.
As the four of us flew out for the church when we arrived we took cover in the nearby bushes and trees as this feeling of unease washed over us.
"Man, can you feel that?" Issei first spoke up on the feeling they probably all felt in the moment.
"Yep, there are probably a ton of exorcists in there just waiting for us." Kiba replied.
"Really though thanks for helping us out you guys." Issei thank the duo once more.
"Hey were all friends right? Besides fallen angels aren't exactly my favorite, I hate them more than anything." Kiba replied, a hateful look crossed his eyes for a brief moment.
Just as Kiba finished Koneko started walking towards the front door with Issei trying to stop her to no avail, "Hey stop, what are you doing?"
"So what, they know we're here." She replied as she kicked the door in to have us view an empty chapel with the whole thing desolate inside.
"This place gives me the creeps." Issei said as we were then greeted to the sound of slow clapping and then Freed showed himself.
"Well then glad you could all could make it. I would give you all a nice warm welcome in this house of god, but I usually make it policy to not have to deal with the same devils again so let's go for round 3 shall we?!" He said as a deranged smile crossed his face as he grew both is gun and sword.
"Where's Asia?!" Issei demanded. "Oh fine, your little friend is right underneath us, deep beneath this altar behind us." Freed explained wanting to amuse Issei.
"But if you think I'm gonna let you go so easily you got another thing you piece of shit devils." He said now with his lounge extended his visage one of pure psychopathy.
Issei summoned his Boosted Gear, while Kiba and I took out our swords. We heard a sound to our right and saw Koneko pick up one of the pew chairs and throw it at Freed.
"Here!" She said as he then cut the pew in two. "Strong for a runt, aren't you?" Freed taunted her.
"Oh suck it." She replied as she began throw more at the exorcist in which e retaliated with a hail of bullets at each of us.
As we all got out of the way, both me and Kiba charged at him. The three of us clashed back and forth as me and Kiba took turns attacking him.
Dodged gunfire and striking at the same time, until the three of us clashed, even Freed for all his experience seem to struggle a bit under the pressure.
"I got to say, you two are pretty good." Freed said a rare compliment. "And you're not so bad yourself." Kiba replied.
"But… seeing that only makes me want to see you both dead." He said as she pointed his gun at us. Kiba dodged with a backflip as I twirled to escape the bullet's path.
"Alright, you asked for it. You want serious, I'll give it." Kiba said as his blade began to turn black.
Freed excited charged as the two clashed once again, only this time the light from Freed's blade began to falter.
"Hey, what the hell is this?!" He said in anger. "Oh it's the Holy Eraser, it absorbs all forms of Holy Light like your sword for example." Kiba explained the sword.
Freed's sword then went out as he aimed his gun at me and Issei we both charged at him as Kiba called out to us both.
"Issei, Ryuichi."
"Got it. Now, Sacred Gear!" Issei exclaimed
(BOOST!)
His status then changed to a rook and gained both its strength and defenses. The wild exorcist fired a despite barrage of bullets only for them to be deflected by magic circles intercepting them all.
"Yeah, I'm fucked." He said realizing his situation. Issei and I then punched him at the same time sending him straight into the altar destroying the stand in front of the chapel.
"That ones for Asia, asshole. That actually felt surprisingly good to do." Issei said as he caught his breath feeling proud of himself.
However, Freed wasn't down for long as he got back up drawing two swords this time, "You bastards!"
However, Koneko threw another pew chair at him and this time he was hit and went flying again.
Kiba tried to finish him but Freed jumped on top of the stand in front as he proclaimed, "I'm sure as shit not gonna let devils get the best of Freed Sellzen. You may've won the battle, but not the war. HAHA!" He laughed as he threw down a flashbang and escaped.
"Damn. No point chasing him I guess." Issei said in anger having as Freed got away.
"Yeah but for now we should keep going." Kiba replied "Guys, over here." Koneko informed us as we found a trap door with a staircase leading down further in the church.
"Asia's down there let's get going!" Issei said as he began to rush down suddenly the hairs on the back of my neck stood up as I felt an incoming threat and fast.
"Issei, watch out!" I quickly got in front of Issei and deflected blue light spear that was aimed for him.
"Well, well, well. You got good instincts kid to catch that without looking. You may actually be worth the trouble of killing." A familiar fedora-wearing Fallen had arrived, Dohnaseek.
"You! You're the one who took Asia, is she down here?! Answer me!" Issei bellowed in anger at the fallen angel who only smirked in reply.
"Maybe she is or maybe she isn't. Maybe she's alive or maybe she's already dead. Who knows, you four won't after I'm threw with you." Dohnaseek said with confidence.
As everyone began to get ready to fight I stuck my invisible sword in front of them with my arm and told them, "You guys, go on ahead and get Asia. This fedora asshole is mine."
"What are you saying? We're not gonna let you fight alone!" Issei said as she still looked ready to go.
"Then you can help by saving Asia, the more time we waste the more time we lost to get to her. Isn't that why you came here Issei?" I asked him.
His eyes widened as he seemed to remember the whole reason he wanted to do this was to save Asia. Now convinced why he came in the first place, he cursed, "Damn you for always being cool, but beat his ass Ryuichi! Come on guys. Let's go."
The other two nodded in agreement and raced after Issei. Now it was just me and Dohnaseek alone as the silence of the chapel was near deafening. I wasn't feeling so lost anymore as I focused more and more on the coming fight ahead.
As we both stood looking at each other, the silence once more as the Invisible Air in my hands, for a moment I saw his eyes move to my hands as he then began to speak.
"You, boy. Were you the one we've been searching for?" Dohnaseek inquires. I can only raise an eyebrow in curiosity to his question before he continues further. "It's quite obvious that Twice Critical brat was not the threat we made him out to be. Although his power is unusual, you have the superior Gear. Now tell me are you the one we've been searching for?" He asked once more.
So someone among the Fallen Angels knows about Excalibur? But I guess it's best to play dumb in this scenario, "How should I know I'm your real target? Shouldn't you lot have conformed it beforehand?"
"Normally yes, but before we discovered that boy, another signature was discovered here in this town and Raynare said it was from you," Dohnaseek answered.
So she felt Excalibur's essence, but she just didn't know how strong it was? Well at least I have some secrecy on my side.
"Well either way, your death is necessary. Now, have at thee!"
The two of us charged at each other as we clashed which then lead us to strike over and over sparks flying as neither of us left an opening to the other. He then proceeded to conjure a second spear and proceeded to spin me to bisect me in two, but I leaned back in the process losing some strands of hair.
Now with two spears his attacks were slower, with two weapons in hands he tried to overpower my defense with slow, but powerful blows which I blocked but with his considerable strength he did push me back in the process.
We both then stared each other down as he spoke one spear on his shoulder, "Cone on kid, what's wrong?"
Charging forward, I tried to unleash a series of strikes and slices but he either dodged or blocked them with one of his spears.
He then led with a jab which I dodged, then he gave a swing with the other which I blocked using my momentum I pushed forward forcing him to step aside as I tried to follow through.
Despite his attack speed lowered with two spears I had no choice but to watch both and with that I couldn't even begin to get a strike in at him. The two of us square off again with the Invisible Air by my side in a two-handed grip, and him with both spears in hand. It wasn't until I saw a trickle of blood did I realize I had nicked him.
"With this kid's blade being invisible, I can't get a read on him. Guess I'll have to change things up." Dohnaseek said to himself.
Changing tactics, Dohnaseek abandoned the other spear and opted to use only one. This time came at me with a series of quick jabs which I dodged, but then time he went to stab at the ground which sent up dust and debris from the pews.
To escape the, I rolled out of the cloud and saw him come at me, he then came at me again with the same series again this time I batted away the jabs and when came to the slice I responded with an underhanded strike sending it to air which he then proceed to a slice of his own which I parried and fell back.
He continued his assault once more this time us clashing but this time he added some power to his strike which caused the Invisible Air to boom behind me and in the corner of my eye I could see the outline of the sword itself.
"What the hell? If this is a holy sword, why is it showing itself to the light?" I thought to myself.
However the fight took me from my thoughts as he went for another slice this time our weapons dug into the ground, the same booming wave permeating the air around us.
Pushing back, I ran up the wall behind me and jumped over him which he cut through destroying the wall in the process. Dragging his spear along the ground and a smile on his face he rose his spear once more and charged at me. Meeting him head on, I did the same.
If I could dodge this one thrust I could have the opening I needed and finish him with one slice. We met in the middle, but then he suddenly let go of the spear and pushed it with his hand which proceeded to puncture me in the stomach, and I fell to the ground bleeding.
Then he made another and stabbed me in the arm this time. I had miscalculated…
"Damn, he made the spear shorter in the debris cloud when he destroyed the wall. If it had been longer he probably would've only nicked me. But with that short spear he had greater control. All he had to do was look like he was thrusting when instead he threw the spear and pushed in it after the distance was closed." I thought of the only logical process Dohnaseek had taken in that final move.
Bleeding on the floor, I could only feel the pain of the light digging in my system as it stayed.
"I must say you're were the swordsman. Not on Freed's level sure, but you were a good match none the less. Now to finish your friends." He said as he began to walk away towards the staircase.
I can't let him escape; I did promise them I'd stop him. Grinding my teeth, I proceeded to stand despite the pain evident in my arm which felt a putting your arm through molten lava was the best way to describe the feeling. I then proceeded to remove the spears in my arm and stomach. Which both clanged on the ground making Dohnaseek turn around.
"Huh, you don't know when to quit, but I respect your tenacity. I guess you've earned a quick death I suppose." Dohnaseek then started to walk slowly towards me.
I don't have much left, so I've got to finish this…
"Then let me help you…"
"That voice… is that?" I asked myself.
"Now hold the sword and point it to the ground with both hands."
I did as the voice commanded and pointed the blade down but did not place it in the ground.
"Now I shall lend you what light I can…"
Around me a yellow-ish white aura began to conjure as I felt a great power swelling inside me, after a few seconds I could fell the blade transform, as I opened my eyes for the first time I saw Excalibur's true form. The yellow blade of Arthur shined as the church was filled with light.
"What? Impossible! The great holy sword Excalibur?! How do you have it?!" Dohnaseek sounded panicked. As he quickly conjured a spear.
"Now thrust the blade into the ground…"
I then shouted those famous words, "EX-CALIBUUR!"
*BAM*
As I did so, a large wave of energy raced at Dohnaseek who still charging at me couldn't escape the blast as he was then caught in it. After the light died down, nothing of him remained.
After that I dropped Excalibur which disappeared as it reverted back to its Wind state. I then fell over as all my energy felt drained form that one last blast I used.
I began to close my eyes; I was fading in and out from consciousness until I heard footsteps quickly approach and a voice rang out.
"…uichi! Ryuichi!" The voice was Akeno's, the raven-haired beauty was at my side in a second after she called my name. My eyes had shot opened but started closing slowly again at her worried shouts.
"Hang in there. Stay with me." Her worry was evident in her voice. Am I… really that bad? I was just taking a rest.
The blur began to dissipate as I looked into Akeno's eyes tears were staining them and tracks were on her face. I weakly brought my hand to her cheek as I tried to comfort her, "Hey, it's a-alright. I'm not going anywhere."
Her smile returned, she re-doubled her healing efforts and the pain started to numb and my breathing wasn't ragged from the blood loss.
"How are… Issei and the others?" I let out weakly not back to full strength yet.
"They're fighting Raynare down below as we speak. She took the nun's Sacred Gear and took it for herself." Rias explained.
Damn it, even when I wanted to change things it amounted to nothing she still died in this world. I couldn't do a damn thing about it.
After a few more minutes Akeno's hands topped glowing and she said, "I've done mostly emergency treatment on you, but we need t get everyone else first."
Just as she took my arm and put me over her shoulder, a large red blast sending Raynare through the window a few seconds later.
"Well then if wasn't up then I'm certainly up now." I commented as we then saw everyone filing up the stairs to see Issei in a similar position like me but with Kiba supporting him.
"Damn Ryuichi, looks like that fedora guy got you good. You look like shit." Issei commented.
"Yeah, feel like it too." I commented by voice back to normal somewhat. After a few more seconds Koneko returned with a wounded Raynare in her hands.
"Someone looking for this?" She said as she threw the Fallen on the ground in front of Rias.
"Ah, so you're Raynare. What a fitting entrance." Rias said as she stood in front of her looking down on her.
"I am Rias Gremory. Also the next head of the House of Gremory. It's lovely to meet you." She said as she introduced herself.
"Gremory, you've got to be kidding me." Raynare sounded shocked.
"IT would be nice to get to know each other, but…" Rias then dropped two black feathers in front of the fallen angel and continued.
"I think its about time you join your friends I dealt with just a few moments ago. A rather rude duo those two." Rias commented.
"Damn, so you killed them. That reminds me, Ryuichi that other guy, is he…?" Issei looked to me for an answer. I only nodded in reply and answered his question which he seemed content with.
"Empress of Annihilation you don't get a nickname like that and not have fuse willing to go off eventually." Kiba explained.
"Well, didn't know we had such a hardcore group." Issei said in surprise.
"Why, why is the head of Gremory here?" Raynare asked seeking an explanation.
"Well after Dohnaseek attacked Issei and with Ryuichi's death, I learned that a group of Fallen had plans on attacking this town, so I investigated until all paths came back to here." Rias explained.
"Wait, so you did for me and Ryuichi?" Issei asked his gauntlet still on his arm.
"Well then look at that, you Sacred Gear evolved and Ryuichi, I saw that massive light from before whatever you did was quite powerful good job." Rias said as she complimented both of us.
"Oh wait that reminds me, that's the Red Dragon. But you thought it was a Twice Critical. right Raynare?" Rias said mockingly to the downed Fallen.
"Wai… you mean that's one of…" Rias finished for her.
"That's right, its one of the 13 variations of Longinus, a Gear capable of killing God and Satan alike if used wisely. The most powerful of them being the Red Dragon Emperor, the Boosted Gear." Rias explained.
"Issei, please wait." Suddenly Raynare's voice got high-pitched. She turned back to her more innocent form as a high-schooler. To be so damn shameless, to be this desperate.
Want my opinion, a fast death I think is better for someone like her. Just looking at her this it makes me…
…Angry.
"I'm sorry I lied and said all those mean things, but I didn't have choice. I had to fulfill my job as a Fallen Angel." Raynare whined.
"Y-Yuuma." Issei said hesitantly.
"I mean if I didn't care wouldn't I have thrown this away?" She put up her gift she got from Issei on their date.
"Why… why do you have that?" He said in a loud whisper.
Issei hesitantly walked up to her and with tears in his eyes, Raynare smiled saying, "You wouldn't let them hurt me right?"
"J-just stop, I don't buy it. Not at all." Issei said the tears evident in his eyes. Rias, please just end it."
He walked away and Raynare's smile died as her last chance to survive left her. Rias then approached with the Fallen looking on in fear as she was destroyed by a large a blast of Destruction power.
Black feathers went everywhere as Issei sat by Asia solemnly as he apologized profusely to her about his failure to protect her.
I was tired of this as I turned to Rias and said to her, "After all of this, don't you think she deserves a second chance?"
She looked at me with a slight bit a hesitation, but she then drew out an Evil Piece, a Bishop in particular.
Despite Issei's tears he saw the piece as Rias explained that she could do to Asia what she did for the two us. After performing the ritual, and her subsequent revival. Issei was overjoyed at Asia's return.
"Asia! You're back, I just can't believe it." Issei said as he hugged the now revived Bishop tightly.
"I normally don't go around reviving the deceased, but her power may come in useful in the future. But now she is you're junior which means you are her protector from now on." Rias explained as she walked.
The Next Day…
I was stuck in bed the next day after Asia's revival and the business with the fallen angels. I was alone with Rias in the main room of the ORC as she decided to check-up on me after last night's fiasco.
"So you mean to tell me, you took one of the more experienced fallen in battle?" She asked me with a serious look on her face.
I immediately had red on my face as I nervously answered, "Yes." Best to just fess up and get it out.
"You could have at least asked one of the others to stay with you and fight. That would've made things easier." She explained.
"I know that, but then there would've been less of them to fight Raynare and all those exorcists down there. I just did what I thought was right." I tried to explain my actions.
"That doesn't mean it was the best one. Why did you fight him alone? Aren't you scared to die again?" She asked me this time her face was red, and her voice sounded worried.
"I had already faced my killer in Raynare, I thought with that I could beat that Dohnaseek guy with no issue." I tried to explain but she couldn't accept that.
"Ryuichi, you can't mean that?! If we had been any later you'd have been dead, don't you understand?!" Rias yelled out this time with tears in her eyes.
I was that close, really? I had no idea that light and my blood loss was that great in the moment. I hindsight, all I thought about at the time was beating him and helping them. But I guess my eyes were too big for my stomach.
"Look, I can't promise I'll stay out of trouble or be in fights above my league. But I'll try and be more careful. I'm sorry again, President." I said as I looked Rias in the eye.
She seemed to accept my apology as she wiped away her tears and replied, "Just be sure to keep that promise, okay?"
I nodded in reply as she got up from her seat and made her way around I thought she was leaving but I was surprised when she then put her arms around me from behind.
"I do want to say, congratulations on defeating that fallen angel on your own. I'm so proud of you." She said she brought my face to see hers.
My eyes widened and I returned the smile and replied with, "Thank you very much, Rias."
As the two of us continued to look at each other, when suddenly the same feeling from yesterday creeped in and I suddenly felt myself inching towards Rias and for a second I thought I saw her do the same until we were interrupted by Akeno's voice. Causing us to separate.
"Now then I think about its time to celebrate our three newest members. So for such an occasion I made a cake." She said as she pushed in a trolley with a delicious cake on board.
After that everyone else filed in and joined us. Since I was only ever a sweet tooth over some sweets, one being cake I decided that before I rest for a while. I'm getting some of that cake.
Everyone got a piece and celebrated as all of us paired off and started talking. At one point I got into a heated debate with Koneko over what kind of cake was better. Hers was chocolate, and mine was lemon.
It got so heated at one point, Kiba and Issei had to hold us back. But despite all of that being in good fun everyone was laughing and smiling. Even Koneko let off a smile grin in the process.
But even as we were celebrating, I could only think to the future. To the opponents and the many trials we have ahead of us. Even if I had to take Rossweisse future place on the team, I'll do everything I can to protect them.
But for now was all about having fun, and besides, we earned it I think.

(Finally, you've given me, a reason to be strong) – (The ending begins as Rias and Ryuichi stare at each other some distance apart.)
(And we'll stand, hand in hand, till the end!) – (The two then reach out to each other join hands as they look to the sunrise in front of them.)
(As my body's shaking, the future is out there waiting) – (The scene then cuts to the ORC as they are once more in the clubroom but this time Ryuichi looks out the window a look of worry on his face.)
(For me to grasp the light, that's trembling just like my hand) – (Ryuichi is then alone again as tensely holds his fist as the invisible air begins to manifest.)
(I gotta keep it safe from fading that's all I want) – (His gaze then turns to Rias as he then begins to cry once more. Rias too in her office once more can't help but think of Riser's flames as Ryuichi is nowhere to be seen.)
(The subtle scent of midnight - [I spent all thirty nights]) – (The scene then turns to Ryuichi's apartment as he and Rias are laid out in an intimate position on the bed. Just as the two are about to begin until Ryuichi stops Rias and looks her in the eye.)
(I glare up at the stars - [Staring into the sky]) – (The two then look each other in the eyes as the other has tears in their eyes. Until they both get up and look out to the half-moon outside together.)
(The path I see before me I know only I can change it) – (The two then look back at each other until they share their first passionate kiss together.)
(That's all that I need) – (The scene then darkens as the music picks up.)
(Finally, you've given me, a reason to be strong) – (The scene then changes to when the two in a loving embrace as the sun rises to show the two in their Kuoh Academy uniforms.)
(And we'll stand, hand in hand, till the end) – (The two then then charge out into the bright sun together hand in hand.)
(Despite the past mistakes we can't erase, a future that we can't escape) – (The scene then cuts to the ORC staring down Riser's peerage as the Phenex heir glares at Ryuichi in particular.)
(As long as I can always keep you safe I've gotta be strong) – (Another cut occurs as the two peerages engage in combat with each other. Koneko and Issei face off against Riser's pawns. Kiba and Ryuichi clash with Riser's knights. Akeno then electrocutes both of Riser's bishops with Ravel escaping before Akeno engages with Yubelluna. This just leaves Rias to face Riser alone with only Asia to support her.)
(So to your name, I'll fight through the pain) – (As Riser is about to unleash another large blast of his Phenex flame, a figure rushes toward Rias' defense as its shown to be Ryuichi who appears later with Excalibur dug in the ground. Although singed he still stands up, the blade glowing a yellow white light.)
(This world can beat me down a hundred times but into the light I'll always rise) – (Ryuichi and Riser then engage in single combat with the two devils fighting evenly in three quick time images until Ryuichi falls back towards Rias, the redhead by his side to check on him.)
(A lotus flower so pure, right up to the end) – (As Riser smirks in what seems to be victory he begins charging another attack for Ryuichi to then hold Excalibur high in the air at the same time as the sword begins to glow with a golden hue. Rias then joins Ryuichi as she adds her power to the blade changing its color from yellow to crimson red.)
(Until it blooms, a bright red) – (The two then unleash their greatest attacks as the two clash it causes a massive explosion when in the next Excalibur stuck in the ground with Riser's jacket flowing in the wind on its blade.)

AN#1 – Here is Chapter 4 of my High School DxD: Heir of Camelot. The rescue operation to save Asia was successful but her death still occurred. Even so the ending was acceptable to our hero.
Ryuichi uses the power of Excalibur for the first time and won't be the last. This was only a fraction of it. What could possibly occur if anymore was used against a much more dangerous opponent, say… a High-Level Devil perhaps?
But for now, Asia is now part of the ORC and a member of the family. Next time, Ryuichi and Asia have their first day at Kuoh Academy and get used to life there. Along the way meeting new people.
Once again, Rias and Ryuichi share a rather intimate moment again only to be interrupted. What is this feeling inside that Ryuichi feels when he's like this with Rias?
