AN: Hey everyone, I have the next chapter here. We are now in for the second half the start of the LYN team story section. We see the end of the volcano saga here, but what will happen to those character in such a hot place? Also, I am posting this after the new RWBY anime announcement. With all its information, I am really excited for this new take on the rwby storyline. It has so many people working on it from projects I really liked. In any case, this Pokemon adventure continues. Chapter 37 – Out of the Frying Pan, And into the Volcano
Leaf walked out of the Pokemon Center, drink a cup of water, "Ah, much better." She said with a smile as she looked out at the beach before her. However, she turned to the sight of two Pokemon fighting by the ice cream stand.
The vendor cowered behind his cones as Crawdaunt tried to grab Hitmonlee with its pincers, "Craw!" the ruffian Pokemon said in rage, they went for an aqua jet. The kicking pokemon's body was sent towards a house, causing Crawdaunt to grin. However, Hitmonlee adjusted his position, jumping off the wall of the house and rocketing towards his opponent with a Hi Jump Kick, "Craw?" Crawdaunt said in shock before getting kicked in the face, "CRAW!" the ruffian Pokemon screamed while blasting off into the ocean, hitting the water with a big splash.
"…" Hitmonlee watched the waters, waiting to see if Crawdaunt would resurface. However, while the shadow was seen in the water, it faded as the ruffian Pokemon retreated. Hitmonlee, then fell to one knee as he tried to catch his breath.
"Hey, you're Yang's Pokemon." Leaf said as she ran over, "Where is she, and where's Neo?"
"…!" Hitmonlee pointed to the top of the volcano, "…!"
"What?" Leaf responded, "Why are they up there. I read that tunnel doesn't go to the top."
"Um?" the vendor spoke in a meek voice, "You three didn't go to Reversal Mountain, did you?" he said with Leaf turning to her, "The Town has banned the mountain passage after some workers were getting carried off by Drifloon towards the top of the volcano."
"WHAT!?" Leaf shouted, "Why didn't you tell us that before?"
"It was just put in place yesterday, the works didn't even put-up signs because feared they would be picked up again and dropped into lava." The vendor said, then broke eye contact as his face went red, "And I…was distracted when I should have warned you."
"Damn it," Leaf said in panic and rage, "I need to get there fast. Why would those Pokemon be doing that to people?"
"Uh, that woman who was in front of your group said it might have something to do with Heatran." The vendor said.
"Eh?" Leaf said as she stopped her rage for second, "Did you say Heatran?"
Meanwhile.
"Gwogobo gwobobobo!" Heatran roared as the volcano shook again.
"What is that thing!?" Yang shouted.
"Gwogobo!" Heatran responded as its metal faceplate glowed. The molten Pokemon dashed forward at high speed.
"…!" Neo gasped as she held onto Hattrem. The attack slammed into the protect barrier, pushing them into the opposite wall, "…!" Neo's body bounced inside the protect as if she was inside a car crash. She opened her eyes to discover the barrier fading as they were still over lava.
"…" Hattrem focused as held her head, creating another protect before the second could fade.
"Gwo!" Heatran opened its mouth as magma started to gather. However, a water gun struck its iron head. Creating steam on impact and changing the molten pokemon's attention to the new attack.
"Goo!" Goomy spoke with a shriving body, "Goomy!"
"Yeah, what she said!" Yang responded.
"GWO!" Heatran unleashed the plum of lava from its mouth. Yang ran out of the way of the attack, but the molten Pokemon jumped out of the pit, "Gwogobo!"
"That's right, focus on me!" Yang said before looking at her hands, seeing the gooey Pokemon slightly melting, "Oh no. Neo! You're going to have to hold out a bit. Goomy can't take this heat in this part of the volcano!" she shouted before recalling the gooey Pokemon back to its ball, "I'll keep Ugly here busy." She said before taking out a Pokeball of one of her partners, "Go, Larvesta!"
"Larvesta," the flame bug Pokemon said as she faced the molten Pokemon.
"Gwogobo!" Heatran responded as its metal faceplate glowed again, then rushed in.
"Quick, use Flame Charge," Yang called out with Larvesta rushing in as well in a ball of flames. The two attacks collided with each Pokemon glaring into the other's eyes.
"Gwo!" Heatran bucked Larvesta away, then used fired lava from its mouth.
"Evade with Skitter Smack," Yang called out.
"Lar," Larvesta moved out of the way of the lava, flanking Heatran as she got behind it. The molten Pokemon tried to turn but was unable to keep its eyes on the flame bug Pokemon. "Lar!" Larvesta said before attacking the back of Heatran's head.
"Yes, this thing might be powerful, but it's super slow," Yang commented as Larvesta went back to her side.
However, Heatran glared back at the two, having taken almost no damage from the attack. "Gwo!" it roared as more lava was expelled. Yang and Larvesta jumped back, "Gwo! Gwo! Gwo!" the molten Pokemon continued to fill the area with lava.
"Uh oh," Yang said before she realized she and Larvesta were surrounded by lava, then saw Heatran focus in on them. Its metal head glowed as it charged them head-on. However, Munchlax appeared and slammed his body into Heatran's head. The big eater Pokemon pushed back the molten Pokemon, "Thanks." Yang said with a smile.
"Lax," Munchlax responded, then looked up to see Vibrava flying overhead. Yang saw the vibration Pokemon using sand tomb. In doing so, the lava surrounding the blond brawler was smothered by the sand, making it safer to move around.
"That's a handy move," Yang said before having a realization, "I need you to help Neo, she is stuck at the bottom of one of those lava pits."
"Vi," Vibrava said as it started to fly over. However, it was stooped a flamethrower almost collided with the vibration pokemon's body. The others turned to see the flame camel Pokemon was the attacker, a scowl in its eyes.
"Damnit, forgot about this one." Yang responded, then had an idea, "Neo! Try to use Cubone's ground moves to get out of there!"
"…?" Neo had a look of confusion at the concept. She held onto Hattrem, who was sweating as the protect barrier was starting to fade again. "…" the mute girl racked her brain for a solution until she had an idea. In taking out her other Pokeball, she turned tossed it out with Hattrem allowing it to pass through the protect barrier, "…!" she said as Cubone appeared at the edge of the cliff.
"Cu!" Cubone said before raising his club, swirling it as he used scorching sands. The rocks around the pit began to give way, causing them to fall into the pit of lava. As the rocks landed near the protect barrier, Neo was able to reach towards one to use as a safe stand.
"…!" Neo exited the protect while carrying Hattrem, then tossed her Pokemon out of the pit. Cubone caught the serene Pokemon, who was breathing heavily and unable to keep her focus, "…" Neo's breathing was also heavy at the proximity to the lava. She grabbed one of the walls to begin the climb, "…" She flinched in pain, feeling the hot rocked through her gloves. Eventually, she made her way to the top. Neo's breathing was heavy before she hugged both her Pokemon, a look of joy in all their eyes. She then took out her Pokeball for the serene Pokemon, returning it to there for rest.
"Ze." Neo heard her tricky fox Pokemon snicker. In turning to the sight, she saw Zorua sitting proudly on a pile of four fainted Drifloons, "Zehehe."
"…" Neo smirked before focusing back on the battle.
"Munchlax, use Body Slam!" Yang called out with the big eater Pokemon crashing his torso into Camerupt's head.
"Cam," Camerupt flinched in pain, but thrust its head to toss Munchlax away, "Camerupt!" the flame camel said before breathing fire directly at the big eater Pokemon.
"Lax!" Munchlax tried to block the flames but was overwhelmed by the attack. His body was engulfed by the fire as it was lunched back. he landed on the ground, but fell to one knee, "Munch." Munchlax held his right arm as a burn was seen.
"Oh no, re-," Yang said as she was about to recall her Pokemon, but Camerupt looked back at her. The flame camel breathed fire towards her. Yang gasped but felt a fire coming from behind her that collided with the flames. The two attacks canceled each other out with Camerupt having a look of confusion, then took a Bonemerang to the head then knocked the flame camel Pokemon into a large rock.
Yang turned to see Zorua and Neo walking up, each with a smug expression on their faces.
"Heh, I could have handled that hothead myself," Yang responded before resuming her recall of Munchlax to his Pokeball.
"…" Neo nodded before she looked over the area, then pointed to the other end of the volcano. Yang turned as well to see Vibrava fighting Heatran, having used Sand Tomb to encase its legs, "…!"
"Right, now's our chance!" Yang said before pointing, "Everyone, focus Heatran! Larvesta use Struggle Bug!"
"…!" Neo responded in kind with a declaration for her Pokemon.
"Lar," Larvesta said before radiating the green aura insect attack.
"Vi," Vibrava said before firing a dragon breath.
"Ze," Zorua said before unleashing a Lash Out.
"Cu," Cubone said before attacking with Scorching Sands.
All four of the different types of attack combined, each collided with Heatran's body, resulting in a massive explosion. The smoke settled the molten Pokemon laying on its stomach with closed eyes.
"…" Neo smirked as she readied a Pokeball, then aimed for Heatran's body.
Suddenly, Heatran's eyes opened with a red glow. "GWOGOBO!" the molten Pokemon roared. With that, the volcano began to shake more violently than before. Neo and Yang stubbled in the tremors, "GWOGOBOBOBO!" Heatran roared again as lava erupted from cracks in the volcano. However, it was not in a straight stream, but rather a cyclone. The two girls gasped as the other Pokemon were caught in the magma storm.
Yang and Neo watched all their Pokemon tossed into the sky, then falling towards the pit of lava. In quick thinking, Neo tossed out her Hattrem again, who used her psychic powers to catch Cubone in midair. However, the tricky fox Pokemon continued to fall, not being affected by the psychic move.
"Munchlax, catch Zorua!" Yang said as she tossed out her Pokeball. The big eater Pokemon emerged and grabbed ahold of Zorua, landing just on the edge of the pit. He stumbled a bit, flinching in pain from the burn, but managed to move away from the edge with the tricky fox Pokemon. Yang let out a sigh of relief but then remember something. She looked to Larvesta falling towards the pit. "I got you!" Yang shouted as she dived to grab her Pokemon before passing the edge off the cliff.
However, her fingers barely missed the horn as the flame bug Pokemon fell towards the lava. The blond brawler's eyes widened in horror but then gasped as Vibrava swooped past her and snatched Larvesta. The two Pokemon narrowly escaped the heat of the molten rock and reached Yang at the edge. The blond brawler hugged Larvesta, tears in her eyes. She then looked back to Vibrava, "Thank you, I own you two now." Yang said with a smile, causing Vibrava to smile back.
"…!" Neo ran over in panic with their other Pokemon, "…!"
"Yeah, we got to get out of here," Yang responded as she stood up, causing the two trainers to recall all their Pokemon.
"Vi!" Vibrava said before flying off in one direction.
"I think we should follow," Yang commented with Neo nodding, causing the two to run after the vibration Pokemon.
"Gwo!" Heatran shouted while launching magma from its mouth. Neo and Yang evaded the attack as they ran away.
"Come on, if we can make it down the volcano, we're home free!" Yang said as she and Neo ran.
At the edge of the volcano, Vibrava hoovered before turning back to the two girls, "Vi! Vibrava!" Vibrava called out, "Vi-" suddenly, his body was engulfed in flames. "Vibrava!" the vibration Pokemon screamed in pain before crashing into a large rock, "Vi…" Vibrava tried to get up before looking at their attacker.
"Camerupt," the flame camel Pokemon said before expelling steam from its nostril, "Camerupt!" it then changed in at high speed for a takedown.
"Vi," Vibrava shut their eyes, fearing this as the end. An impact sound was heard, but the vibration Pokemon was unharmed, "Brava?"
Vibrava opened their eyes and gasped, discovering Yang in front of Camerupt. She had tackled the flame camel Pokemon head-on, grabbing its skull with both arms. Her boots were dug into the ground, locking both her and Camerupt in place. "Hehehehe, that makes one." The blond brawler said as she looked back to Vibrava.
"Vi," Vibrava said with a look of shock in their eyes, then felt their body get picked up by Neo. A small smile was seen before the vibration Pokemon passed out.
"You two get out of here!" Yang responded as Neo moved with Vibrava. After they made it some distance away, a smile formed on her face, "Now, all I need to do is-"
"Camerupt!" the flame camel Pokemon shouted before it buked Yang into the air.
"…!" Neo looked up in shock at the sight she was about to witness.
"AHHH!" Yang screamed as she was flung across the volcano. Her body was unable to react, having used all her strength to hold back Camerupt for that long. Suddenly, she felt an intense heat from behind her, as well as a bright light. The blond brawler knew where she was falling towards, her eyes shut as she realized her end was coming. "…Eh?" she said before realizing that she was not engulfed in magma, that not even a hair on her head was burnt. She opened her eyes to discover she was in the arms of a large land shark Pokemon, one with deep blue and red skin, as well as a precision gaze, "Uh, hey?"
"…?" Neo had a look of confusion.
"My, that was close." A familiar voice was heard, causing Neo to turn to the sound, "I apologize for not coming here sooner." Neo turned to witness the good-natured woman from before walking up the volcano, "But it seems, I was just in time."
"…?" Neo had a look of confusion again.
"What?" Yang commented, "Who are-"
"GWO!" the sound of Heatran roaring was heard. Yang turned to the sight of lava rocking towards her. However, the land shark Pokemon evaded the attack with Yang in her arms, landing near the good-natured woman and Neo.
"I will answer your questions later," the good-natured woman responded with a smile, "But for now, you can just call me Cynthia. And let Garchomp and I handle this." She said as the land shark Pokemon set Yang down, allowing her to lean on Neo's shoulder.
"Uh, okay," Yang said before watching Cynthia walk up the volcano. However, Camerupt glare before changing the good-natured trainer. "Hey, look-"
"Aqua Tail," Cynthia spoke before Garchomp rash to her side at jet-like speed. Its shark-like tail glowed with a blue aura and water. the land shark Pokemon smacked Camerupt in the head with its tail, sending the flame camel Pokemon flying before slamming through multiple large rocks. Yang and Neo gasped at the sight, while Cynthia's pace did not lessen. She reached the top of the volcano and focused on molten Pokemon, "Heatran, I assumed you were the one causing this havoc."
"Gwo!" Heatran shouted, causing the volcano to shake.
However, Cynthia remained unflinching, "You leave me no choice."
"Gwo!" Heatran changed in with an iron head attack.
"Brick Break," Cynthia said with Garchomp dashing into, one of its fin-like arms glowing white. The two attacks collided with both Pokemon in a stalemate, "Aqua Tail." She said with Garchomp unleashing the blue aura attack from before, smacking Heatran aside. However, the molten Pokemon recovered without slamming into a rock, then breathing lava again, "Stone Edge." Cynthia called out with the Garchomp spawning multiple grey stones around its body, then launched the rocks at high speed into the lava. The two attacks canceled out at first, but some of the stones pushed passed the lava, forcing Heatran to move out of the way, "Brick Break." She said with Garchomp rushing in again, slamming its arm over Heatran when it could not evade. The molten Pokemon crashed it to the other ground with a loud thud. The land shark Pokemon jumped back to repose its stance as Heatran struggled to get up.
"U-unreal." Yang commented, still in shock, "I-is this the same woman that took forever to order ice cream!?"
"…?" Neo questioned the same thing as well, but noticed something in the corner of her eye, "…!" she pointed with Yang turning, witnessing Camerupt getting back up as well.
"Oh no," Yang said as she saw Camerupt begin to charge Cynthia again. The blond brawler turned to Neo, "Quick, we need to help her." She said before each took out a Pokeball.
"Camerupt!" the flame camel Pokemon said when it was a few meters away taking down its target. Cynthia turned her gaze to the charging Pokemon but then noticed something else. Suddenly, Camerupt was pelted with an Ancient Power and Water Gun that throw off his charge and sent him into a rock.
Cynthia turned more to discover the attack was from Larvitar, "Lar!" the rock skin Pokemon said a look of rage in her eyes.
Slithering next to her was the gooey Pokemon, "Goo!" Goomy said as well.
"Hey, we can take care of that one." Yang said to Cynthia as she approached with Neo helping her walk, "Neither of us are done fighting yet."
"…" Neo nodded with the same look of focus in her eyes.
"I see, very well then," Cynthia said before looking back to Heatran, "This one is mine."
"Came!" Camerupt roared as it emerged from the rocks but flinched in pain. However, he glared at the new opponents before roaring again, "CAMEUPRT!" it said before the mountain humps on its back expelled flames like an erupting volcano.
"Larvitar, pick up Goomy and dodge!" Yang called out with Larvitar doing so, narrowly avoiding the attack. However, her body staggered for a second, still recoiling from the paralyzing, "Oh no, I forget about that!"
"CAME!" Camerupt charged with a takedown.
"…!" Neo pointed with Goomy firing a water gun into a Camerupt's eyes. The flame camel Pokemon stagged in its charge.
"This is our chance. Larvitar, Payback!" Yang said with the rock Pokemon changing in with a black aura, crashing into Camerupt's head, "Now, Stomping Tantrum to send it flying!" Yang said with Larvitar's aura turning red as she stuck Camerupt again. The flame camel Pokemon was launched back, this time falling into a pit. The other watched a splash of lava where the flame camel Pokemon once was. "I think we did it," Yang said as she turned to Neo, who responded with a nod.
"Watch out," Cynthia called out, "That Pokemon has an ability Magma Armor. Lava will not harm its body!
"What!?" Yang called out right before something reemerged from the pit.
"CAMERUPT!" the flame camel Pokemon called out, its body glowing with the heat of the magma, "CAME!" Camerupt charged again.
"Larvitar, Ancient Power!" Yang called out with the rock skin Pokemon unleashing its attack.
"…!" Neo pointed with Goomy firing a water gun.
However, neither attack flinched Camerupt this time. The flame camel Pokemon crashed through both Pokemon.
"Larvitar!" Yang said as Larvitar was flung into a rock.
"…!" Neo panicked as Goomy splatted against a stone as well.
"CAMERUPT!" Camerupt roared as he continued his charge, now aiming for the trainers.
Yang and Neo could not evade this upcoming attack. The mute girl had a look of fear in her eyes with the blond brawler tried to shield her with her body. The two girls shut their eyes as they waited before impact but heard something crash first. They looked back to discover Larvitar and Goomy had gotten back up to intercept the attack. Pokemon tried to keep Camerupt back but were still being pushed.
Suddenly, both Pokemon glowed in a white light. Yang and Neo gasped as their Pokemon changed forms. Larvitar changed in size and shape, resembling more of a light blue pupa with a hard shell. Goomy grew as well, becoming more slug-like in its features. The two then gave one last thrust, launching Camerupt back a few meters.
"Pupitar!" the hard shell Pokemon spoke with a scowling expression.
"Sliggoo!" the gooey Pokemon spoke with waving its newly formed little arms.
"I don't believe it, you evolved!" Yang said with a smile and tears in her eyes, "You did so to save us."
"…!" Neo smiled as well, with tears in her eyes. However, she then looked back to witness Camerupt charging in again.
"This again," Yang commented in irritation, then looked at Pupitar glowing in a dark aura, "Is that still payback?"
Neo watched as Sliggoo also glowed in a blue aura, matching in the same intensity as the hard shell pokemon's, "…?"
"It seems your Pokemon have learned new moves upon evolution," Cynthia said with a smile, "Dark Pulse and Water Pulse respectively."
"Really, Sweet!" Yang said with a smile before pointing, "Okay, Pupitar, use Dark Pulse!"
"Pupitar!" the hard shell Pokemon said before unleashing its dark aura as a stream of black rings in a chaotic pattern.
"…!" Neo pointed as she called out her pokemon's newly learned move.
"Sliggoo!" the gooey Pokemon said while firing out a stream of watery rings, but these flowed in a consistent manner.
"CAME!" Camerupt said as both pulse moves collided with its body, stopping the charge. However, the flame camel Pokemon tried to push against the attacks.
"Give it everything you got and then some!" Yang called out.
"…!" Neo matched in Yang intensity.
Suddenly, both pulse moves started to combine their rings. The water and dark attacks merged with a surge of power, "Came…erupt…Came." Camerupt tried to push against the attacks, but was now getting pushed back, "CAME-" Suddenly, the flame camel Pokemon was swept away in the pulse attacks. His body was sent back into the pit of lava, making a larger splash on impact. This time, Yang and Neo walked over to the edge of the pit. They looked down to witness the flame camel Pokemon fainted on its side in the lava.
"Yes, we did it!" Yang said as she jumped with joy with Neo, who had a matching expression of happiness. Cynthia looked on with a smile on her face. However, the volcano began to shake again, "Uh oh, what now!?"
"GWOGOBO!" Heatran roared as lava erupted from cracks in the volcano. The cyclones of magma then formed around the area.
"Not that move again!" Yang called out, "This is bad!"
"…!" Neo panicked, but then looked back to Cynthia, who remained calm.
"Magma Storm, your strongest move." Cynthia said with a smile, then closed her eyes, "Very well, we shall do the same." She said before opening her eyes with a piercing gaze, pointing with her right arm, "Garchomp, use Draco Meteor!"
"GARRR!" Garchomp roared as its eyes glowed a golden yellow. She looked up before firing an orb of yellow energy into the magma storm. Suddenly, the orb exploded, raining down a volley of energy projectiles. The energy projectiles passed through the magma storm, not only dissipating it, but encasing the energy in the magma itself. Yang and Neo gasped at the sight as if they were witnessing a meteor shower. Gasping as well was Heatran, right before being bombarded by those same meteors. Once the onslaught ended, the top of the volcano was shrouded with smoke.
As it cleared, Heatran was struggling to move but remained enraged. However, the molten Pokemon looked back at Cynthia and Garchomp. The land shark pokemon's gaze remained sharp, and the good-natured trainer's was focused. Heatran then used the last of its energy to jump back, landing into a pit of lava. It retreated to its cave, causing the area to go silent.
"It's done," Cynthia said as she let out a sigh, then turned back to the two girls, "Now, let's go get some ice cream." She said with a smile on her face.
"…" Neo remained speechless.
"…" Yang also remained speechless.
After scaling down the volcano, the group ran into a just arriving Leaf and Hitmonlee. They ran over to Yang and Neo, hugging them, "Thank goodness you two are safe." Leaf said as smiled, "When I interpreted Hitmonlee's message, I feared the worse was happen."
"It's okay, we managed to say out of the lava." Yang said with a smile, recalling Hitmonlee as well, "And even if I fell in, I think I would have been safe." She said with a smile, "After all, I'm hotter than the sun, so that makes me hotter than lava."
"Hehe." Neo giggled.
"See, she gets it." Yang responded, then showed a Pokeball, "Also, Larvitar evolved."
"…" Neo added by showing her new Sliggoo's Pokeball.
"That's amazing!" Leaf commented, "But I was worried about Heatran showing up."
"It did," Yang responded, then turned to Cynthia, "Luckily, she took care of that Pokemon like it was nothing." She said before having a question come to mind, "Hey, why didn't catch it?"
"Heatran is needed for this place," Cynthia responded, looking back to the volcano, "It's thanks to that Pokemon that the Reversal Mountain can remain inactive."
"Then why was it so bent on dropping people in lava." Yang asked, "All of those Pokemon seemed to follow Heatran like it was their boss."
"…?" Neo questioned as well, then recalled something. She pointed at the construction equipment with the others seeing it as well.
"Correct," Cynthia responded, "The new construction was most likely disturbing the mountain's inactivity. Heatran felt that and wanted to make sure the people were not going to continue, but did so in a more drastic way."
"I'll say," Yang commented, then looked down into Neo's arms, seeing Vibrava awakening, "It was you that tried to warn people, not threaten their lives. That's pretty cool, you know?"
"Vi," Vibrava said with a smile forming.
"I still owe you one." Yang said with a smile, "So, how about you come with us on our journey?"
"Vi?" Vibrava said in shock at the request but looked down in worry.
"If you are concerned for the people's safety, I will talk with the town's construction team about the project." Cynthia added, "That will stop Heatran and the other Pokemon from doing anything like this again." She said to Vibrava with a smile, "Meaning, you are free to make your own choice."
"Vi," Vibrava said before smiling, "Vibrava!" the vibration Pokemon then jumped out of Neo's arms and into Yang's, "Vibrava!"
"Heh, I'll take that as a yes," Yang said with a smile as she hugged her newly caught Pokemon.
"…" Neo looked on with a smile.
"That's great, Vibrava is a really good Pokemon." Leaf commented, "Just tell me when you're going to use its sound-based attacks." She said with the other giggling.
"Hehe, you three certainly are a group of friends," Cynthia said before bowing, "I'll take my leave now."
"I thought you were coming with us for ice cream?" Yang asked.
"I think it's best I talk with the construction team soon rather than later," Cynthia responded before walking away, "Don't worry, I'll catch up with you afterward."
"Okay, bye Cynthia," Yang said as she and Neo waved to the good-natured trainer.
"Wait, what did you say?" Leaf asked, "Was her name Cynthia?" she said with Neo turning to her with a nod, then had a look of shock, "That's the Sinnoh League Champion."
"…!" Neo gasped in shock.
"What? She's a champion?" Yang added on, then looked back to Cynthia walking away, "Wow."
AN: There you go, Yang and Neo get a few close calls with lava, but manage to escape unburned. Not only that, but they each got a teammate to evolve and learn a respective pulse move. However, Yang is the one that catches a new Pokemon in the form of Vibrava. It may double her ground types for now, but you will see that fade away one of them evolves. And finally, Cynthia reveals herself as champion we all know and love. She is not quite gone yet, as I think Yang and Neo have a few questions for her.
