Chapters 2: The Unhappy Return and Dreams of Reunion
"Yohohoho, so Ruby-san, Yang-san, Weiss-san, and Blake-san, are people from another world?" Asked the ever-smiling musician skeleton, Brook, as he gulped his food that Sanji had just prepared from the giant horned shark that Luffy, Ruby, and Usopp had just caught earlier.
Ruby nodded, "We came from Beacon Academy in the Kingdom of Vale." She said while grinning as her teammate walked up to them with many plates in her hands and put them on the table gently.
"You seem to be not surprised?" Weiss asked with a hint of disgust on her face while witnessing the skeleton table manner. Even pig has better-eating manners than the skeleton thought the heiress of Schnee Company.
Brook laughed, "Yohohoho, with how the Grand Line operates, one, two, three, or four people come from another world wouldn't be something to be surprised." He reasoned as the Straw Hats nodded in agreement.
"That's true. This world is full of weird things." Blake said as she glanced at Luffy and Chopper.
"What the heck do you mean!?" Chopper asked with his eyes popped out, and Luffy just laughed it off.
"But still…" Yang leaned on her chair. "It's weird that there is a group of pirates like us."
"That's true."
"Agree."
"We're certainly a weird one." Nami sweatdropped as Brook laughed.
"Yohohoho, pray to tell what kind of pirates are you guys?" Brook asked as the Straw hats looked at each other for a moment before Ruby answered.
"First of all, we are not the kind of pirate that attacks other ships…." Ruby answered while folding her hands, reminiscing about her adventures with Straw Hats. At first, she thought that this world would be full of a naval battle, but instead, they always ran. Though in their defense, if they keep engaging the marine one after another, there will be no end to it.
"We also not the type to make people walk on the plank…." Blake said as Blake herself, Chopper, and Robin imagined how the Straw Hats would force their prisoners to walk on the plank. Heh. It was never going to happen, though, Robin and Blake.
But of course, Chopper, "What pirates are making people walk on the plank!?" He screamed in fear as the Ninja sweatdropped at him, and the Archeologist giggled at how cute and gullible the doctor of their ship was.
Ignoring Chopper, Yang interjected, "We also not Rob and Pillage."
"No, Yang. Those Five are the definition of Rob and Destroy." Usopp and Weiss blankly pointed out at the seats in front of them where Ruby, Luffy, Nami, Sanji, and Zoro were eating their foods and immediately looked up.
"Eh?" The five said in simulations.
"Ah… You are right…." Franky agreed as Nami pouted at his friend's accusation.
"Hey, I never destroy anything, unlike these four monsters!?" Nami growled while pointing out at the monsters of Straw Hat Pirates.
"Yeah, but you always robbed things." Weiss objected while drinking her coffee.
"Hey! Robbing defenseless and helpless Pirates and Marines are the free things to do!?" Nami reasoned as Berri replaced her eyes.
"That's the same fucking things!?" Weiss retorted as she sighed. "I still can't believe that the four of us ended in the ship of criminal…." She lamented as Brook laughed with his face full of sauces and mustards from his food.
"But isn't that a good thing?" Brook asked, earning a look from Weiss that said, 'How is that any good?', which he laughed off. "To have freedom and enjoy everything in this world is the best thing to happen in this world." He laughed as the others smiled or grinned widely in Luffy's case.
"That's indeed cool, but can you mind your table manner first." Sanji pointed out Brook's messy attire and face.
"By the way, how did you become a skeleton, after all?" Ruby asked while munching her food.
"Oh! That's because…." Brook trailed darkly, making Usopp and Chopper gulp. "We're skeleton from born! Yohohoho!?" He laughed loudly.
"Just tell us already," Weiss said, her tone clearly irritated.
"Oh, such a killjoy from our dear sous chef." Brook sighed with Weiss, trying to beat him down, but Chopper and Ruby held her back. "It's because of Yomi-Yomi no Mi."
"Yomi-Yomi no Mi?"
"I knew it that it's because of Devil Fruit," Zoro said, unaware that outside the room, there is a ghost that keeps saying pero-pero.
"Do you realize how much damage you caused?" The blonde huntress and teacher yelled at them as she pointed out the damage Yang had caused. Beside her, the headmaster of Beacon, Ozpin, studied them closely.
They didn't appear to acknowledge her scolding them. Their faces looked too downcast and sorrowful to be children in trouble. He saw that face many times in his life, for he experienced it. It was a face people made when they recently lost something dear.
"I hope you girls understand me…." Glynda said. When they didn't respond, she spoke harshly again. "Are you listening?" She shouted with a tick mark that appeared in her head, but Ozpin moved forward.
"Glynda, I think that will be enough," Ozpin finally said to his deputy headmistress. Glynda looked at him with surprise. "Team RWBY will have their dorm repaired right before the Vytal Festival. For now, I believe that they should return to class."
"But Professor-"
"They already got the message," Ozpin said gently once again as he turned his head toward the RWBY team. "They will make sure that what happened will never repeat. Is that right?" He directed the last bit towards team RWBY, who all nodded. "In the meantime, I think it will be wise for you to change dorm rooms. I'll send you the room number on your scrolls. Return to class." Team RWBY nodded again.
Then they turned around and made their way towards the elevator. As soon as the doors shut, Ozpin turned to Glynda, "I don't think they were listening," Ozpin said.
Glynda raised her eyebrows, "What do you mean? I've been lecturing them for nearly half an hour." She said as Ozpin looked at the damaged that Yang did.
"The looks on their faces weren't children who knew they were in trouble. It was rather…. Like they were grieving." Ozpin said, wondering how Yang could do such damage with her fist. From what he knew, the young huntress shouldn't be able to do this much. He looked around and noticed four small pieces of paper on the ground, but he didn't mind them.
"You…you don't think they lost someone, do you?" Glynda asked in concern as Ozpin walked out of the room with her.
"I'm not sure," Ozpin admitted. "I'll make some calls to see what's up. In the meantime, be sure to keep an eye on them." He said without noticing that the four-piece of papers just moved by itself.
"So…" Yang started while looking at her breakfast. "Anyone wants to start?" She asked her dejected crewmates. Yang suggested that they talk about what they had done before they came back to this world, but it seems that it will not work.
Ruby looked at her teammates as she closed her eyes and raised her hand, "Me…." As the other three looked at the third strongest member of the Straw Hat Pirate, she said. "After you left to get Sanji from Big Mom with Luffy and the others. The rest of us went to Wano with Law's ship. I must admit it. It's so cool. It's a big yellow submarine." She said with sparkling eyes, but then Weiss coughed. "Oh, right. Then when we reached Wano, Kinemon suggested what we need to do."
Blake raised her eyebrows, "What do you need to do?" Ruby nodded happily.
"Yeah. He said we need the blueprint of Kaidou's base in Onigashima, samurais from Wano, and some food to prepare for the raid against Kaidou, Orochi, and Beast Pirates. So Weiss here worked as a Geisha." Yang coughed as she laughed.
"Weiss as a Geisha." Yang was surprised as Weiss narrowed her eyes.
"Is there something wrong, Yang?" Weiss asked with twitching eyes.
"No… It's just it's so unlike you to work as Geisha." Yang said while waving her head.
"Even I can throw my pride for this operation…." Weiss growled, and Yang just smiled at it. If it's the old her, she would be angry to be ordered by someone like Kinemon to work as Geisha, but it seems that the two years and her adventure changed her like the rest of them. "Though, to be fair, I also enjoyed it too." She said, earning a surprised look from everyone.
"Otoko and Komurasaki are nice people, and the teacher that taught me and Robin is also quite thoughtful." She said, remembering the number one Oiran and her apprentice, then she suddenly shuddered. "But that guy, Kyoshiro… He creeps me out."
"Kyoshiro? Do you mean Boss Kyoshiro, the number one Yakuza in Wano? He hired you?" Ruby asked while eating her breakfast.
"Is he that important?" Blake asked while sipping her coffee.
"He is Orochi's Right-Hand man. By far, he is the most dangerous person in Flower Capital. According to Shinobu, he is also a great swordsman and has charisma to lead his men." Ruby said as she remembered the sleeping yakuza. "If I remember, he is also patron of Komurasaki." Weiss nodded.
"Yeah… Komurasaki is the one that suggested Kyoshiro buy my service." She said as she took the bread in front of her. "They don't talk much or any important stuff, but they sure talk a lot." She said while munching her bread.
"Hee… What about you, sis? What did you do?" Yang asked as Ruby smirked, and she suddenly formed a nin handseal with a proud smile on her face.
"This huntress is retired for the time being!" Ruby said dramatically, Weiss beside her facepalmed while sighing tiredly. "Now I, O-Ruby, become a kunoichi de gozaru!" Ruby said as the others laughed, except for Weiss. "Nin nin!?" She grinned.
"She should be working in carpentry business with Franky, but upon hearing that Shinobu, a kunoichi working under Momo's family, need a helper. She quickly volunteered." Weiss rubbed her head upon remembering when Ruby volunteered herself. "She is tasked with searching for the blueprint of Kaidou's mansion, and so far, it's nil."
Ruby sighed, "I know that someone in the past buys the blueprint, but nobody knows who bought it…."
"Seems like two of you have been working hard?" Yang said while eating the fried chicken in front of her. "For Blake and the rest of us, we just reached Wano, and after using my rocket arm and Luffy's Gomu-Gomu no Mi, we scaled up the waterfall. " She smiled, earning the awe from Weiss and Ruby as she continued. "But when we can see the land…."
"I will take Blake and carry the supplies. Sanji, can you bring the others." Yang said, with Blake already latched onto her. Blake's face is as white as a sheet as she is terrified of water because of her nature as a cat and her devil fruit. Not that Yang mind getting hugged by a beautiful girl.
"Alright, Yang-chan. Nami-chan and Carrot-chan can hold up to me."
"Wait, Sanji, Yang, what about us?"
"You're too heavy."
"Don't abandon us." Chopper and Brook quickly latched onto Sanji.
Luffy blew his body on the front deck as he grinned at Sanji and Yang, "Use my body, Sanji, Yang. I'll be following right behind." He said as Sanji nodded and jumped using Luffy's body while saying, see you soon. "You bet. Now Yang!" He said.
"Yosh. Sorry Sunny, but we will find you soon. Hehe." Yang said as she ran toward Luffy, unaware of Sunny panicked face. But then, suddenly, the squid from before caught Yang and Luffy. "Hey, what the heck? What are you doing?" She said that the squid doesn't want to let go of Luffy or Yang.
"Y-Yang… L-Luffy…"
"What's your problem!? Why can't you just cut us a break!?" Luffy yelled as they tried to break free from the squid, unaware that Sunny was already in the core of the whirlpool.
"GYAAAAAHHHHHHHH!"
Yang nodded, "And the next thing we knew, we were already in our room. In Beacon." She said as Blake once again latched onto Yang.
"Sea… Scary…" Blake muttered, terrified, making the two sweatdropped.
"Seriously, what happens to you in those two years…." Weiss said as her Scroll suddenly vibrated, and she clicked her tongue.
"What's wrong?" Ruby asked while munching her food.
"Glynda. She called me to fix our room…." Weiss said as she sighed annoyingly. But alas, she slowly stood up. "Well, I don't want to hear her beautiful sermon again. I will go now. And Yang, Ruby." The two looked at Weiss. "Don't make any problem." Ruby pouted.
"I don't get into a problem that much."
"No, you do." The three said as Weiss walked toward their dorm.
The three stayed in silence before they looked at each other and suddenly stood up.
"I will go to class. " Ruby said as she wore her Crescent Rose 2.0.
"I will go to town. Maybe something changed." Yang said while grinning.
"Yang, we go for 5 hours. Nothing will change that much." Blake smiled. "I want to go to Library. There is something that interests me." She said as the three went on their way.
This was the first time that Ruby wasn't hyped about practical class. It might be because it feels like everyone is too weak for her. She might not be used to her small body, but she fought against Enel, CP0, and Baroque Works around this age. So she is still not a slouch in this body.
If there was anything, she wanted to try Ryuou. Shinobu taught her Ryuou, but she didn't have any chance to use it yet, so she didn't know how effective it would be with her Crescent Rose. She glanced at Glynda, and she thought that the older huntress might give her a challenge, but she didn't want to make a scene.
Not to mention Glynda was very angry at her team and, as a result, resorted to skipping over them and calling students at random. Team JNPR looked at her in concern but decided to volunteer. Pyrrha came face to face with a student wielding two katanas.
Ruby looked at the fought as she smiled, "If that guy has three swords, he might be able to use Santoryuu…." She joked as her mind wandered to the First Mate that became a fugitive in a day before she came to Beacon. "I wonder what Zoro is doing right now…." She spaced out.
"Hey, Ruby, Weiss, can you please lend me some money and let me hit the room for one day…." Zoro said with a blank look that borderline idiot and fearless. "I become a wanted man in Flower Capital because I cut some dude." He stated it as if it's the most obvious thing ever as Ruby quickly burst out in a laugh, and beside her, Weiss and Shinobu's mouth gaped.
"It hasn't even been one week, you dolt! Why the fuck did you do that?" Weiss shouted angrily after beating up Zoro.
"What should I do!? That guy wants to take Shisui away from me!" Zoro shouted back.
"Then give it to him. You usually can throw your sword faster than that!"
"What!?"
"Oh… Kinemon-sama, why are you bringing this man here…" Shinobu lamented at the green-haired ronin as Ruby just kept laughing.
"Ruby, you too. Don't laugh at this idiot!?" Weiss screamed in anger after hitting Ruby's head with her fist, resulting in big bruises on her head.
"Miss Rose?" Glynda called out, snapping Ruby out of her daydream. She looked down at the combat arena to see her looking at her.
"We have time for one more spar…." Glynda said. "Would you like to participate?" Ruby glanced down and noticed that it was Cardin and his team as she smiled coyly.
"… Maybe just a little," Ruby said as she walked down while twirling her hand. But then she suddenly stopped. "Right better store my Crescent Rose, first…." She said as she put the Crescent Rose 2.0 in her bag and stepped down for the match.
"Heh. You must be crazy if you think you can fight against us without your weapon, Red." Cardin said as he prepared his weapon. "It would be payback for that time…" He trailed dangerously while watching the red huntress warming up in front of him.
Ruby continued warming up as she finished with a bit of hop, and she smirked, "Yosh!" She clapped her hands. "Less talk, more fight. Let's do it, Cardin. I'm not going to lose." She grinned with silver eyes having a bit of ripple, and a spark of crimson lightning could be seen.
"My school uniform… My spare school uniform… My battle wear… I think that's all." Weiss is going through her clothing in her team's destroyed dorm room. She's the only one left because she is picky about her clothes, unlike her team.
Weiss walked around when she noticed four pieces of paper, "Wait… This is… Vivre Card…" She muttered as she took the paper. "Oh, right! Sabo made this stuff. I guess Luffy gave Yang and Blake his vivre card during their adventure in Big Mom's territory. It must be theirs…." She trailed as she watched the Vivre Card moving. "Eh?" Her eyes widened.
"This paper is no ordinary paper. It's made from part of the nail, and it can't get wet or burnt. This is why this paper is called a life paper or Vivre Card." Lola said to Nami. "If you put this paper on your hand or the surface, then…." The Vivre Card moved. "It would move to where the person this Vivre Card made for." She smiled.
"Wow! That's amazing!"
"Yeah. Maybe we should make it one for the green moss."
"Agreed."
"Hey!?" Zoro growled at Blake and Sanji.
"Ms. Schnee?"
"Huh?" Weiss looked up to see the dorm keeper standing at the doorway.
"Is everything alright? You spaced out for a while." The dorm keeper asked.
"I'm alright," Weiss shoved her shirts inside her suitcase and zipped it up. She grabbed it and began walking out. "Everything is fine." She said as she glanced at the moving papers in her hands. "It can't be…." She said as she quickly pulled her Scroll. "Ruby. Can you please come quickly? I think I have…." She stopped. "Wait, why are you in the hospital?" She twitched, aware of what Ruby had just done though she didn't want to admit it. "YOU DID WHAT!?"
Yang yawned as she walked down the streets of the vale. She is on her way to 'From Dust till Dawn' with her right mechanical right arm. She sighed, "Maybe I should ask for Ruby to fix it." She rubbed her head as she looked at her robotic right arm.
She then noticed some kids around her age walking in front of her, "Did you finish your weapon?" One kid asked as his friend nodded.
"Yeah, just this morning. See?" He showed his slingshot as Yang smiled gently at the sight of a slingshot.
"Hey, Usopp. Can I ask you something?" Yang asked while Usopp worked on his slingshot and various dials at his disposal that he got from the Skypiea.
"Sure."
"Why do you use a slingshot?" Yang asked absentmindedly while trying the flame dial to absorb the flame from her weapon, Ember Celica.
"Huh?" Usopp looked up from his work set. He was working on a new type of ammo for his arsenal.
"I mean, don't get me wrong, you out skilled my sister in marksman…but why don't you upgrade to a gun or something? It would pack a lot of firepowers." Yang said as Usopp started to consider this for a moment.
"To be honest, I haven't thought about that before…." Usopp muttered as he folded his hands. "But if I have to guess…It's that I'm more comfortable with this. It's always been at my side ever since I was a little kid. Plus, it can do much more than a gun." He smiled as Yang nodded.
"Well, I guess you are right…." As she clicked the flame dial that suddenly burst the flame and burned part of Going Merry, "Eh?" Yang blinked innocently.
"What the fuck did you do!?"
"Merry is burning!?"
"What!?"
"Yang! You bitch!?"
"It's not my fault!?"
"Oof." Yang snapped out of her thought when she bumped into someone. It was a lady carrying groceries, which are now scattered all over the ground. The lady bent over to pick them up.
"I'm so sorry," Yang apologized. She bent over to help pick up the groceries.
"It's alright," The lady is surprisingly forgiving. When the last of her groceries were back in the bags, she stood up. "Thank you." She said as Yang waved her hands.
"Well, better go home then…." Yang said as she felt her Scroll vibrate, and when she opened it, it showed the message Please come back to Beacon ASAP with the picture of comically beaten up Ruby attached to it and Glynda behind her scolding Weiss. "What the hell…. Just what the hell did Weiss and Rube do-Oh." She sweatdropped at the news of how Ruby comically punched Cardin out of Beacon.
"Hey, Blake!" Blake turned to see Sun Wukong running towards her. She had just exited the city library with some history books when the Monkey Faunus stopped in front of her. He looked a bit nervous. "Do you have any lunch plans? My team and I are planning to hit this cool restaurant. I heard that they got lots of good fish." He said as her ears perked up.
Usually, just news about good fish will cheer her up, like how meat cheered her captain or booze cheered Yang and Zoro. But for today, the fish reminds her of something else…
"Here you go, Blake!" Weiss said as she handed the Faunus her food.
"Thank you…" Blake said before she dug into her Blue-Finned Elephant Tuna sautèe. If there was one thing she liked about their situation, it was the endless amount of seafood. She squealed."This is delicious as usual, Sanji, Weiss."
"I aim to please. Especially for charming ladies such as yourself…." Sanji said. Then he frowned. "We're running out, though, so be sure to savor that. I don't know when we're going to arrive at the next island for supplies." Weiss sighed.
"Maybe if our gluttonous captain doesn't eat all of them, we won't be in this much problem…."
"Ruby, Chopper, Usopp… Have you caught anything yet… I'm hungry…."
"Then why did you eat all of our foods!?" The crews shouted at their captain angrily as Blake giggled and Sanji sighed. While it's not entirely shown, Blake is one of the more eager crewmates for Sanji's food. Whenever she heard that seafood was being served, she was the first to get hungry and get in a race with Luffy.
"I'm sure we will make do until we reach the next island."
"How could you say that easily? You're also one of the reasons why we are in this problem."
"Geh!?"
"Weiss dear, Blake dear, don't fight…."
"Blake?" Blake snapped out of her thoughts at the sound of Sun's voice. She looked up to see him looking at her in concern.
"Yes?" Blake asked weakly.
"Are you alright?"
"Why wouldn't I be?"
"Because you don't look well…." He stated if it was apparent. "Do you need to see a doctor or something?" Blake's eyes widened.
"Here you go, Blake."
"Thanks, Chopper," Blake said as she took the pills from the anthropomorphic reindeer. Earlier, she developed a bad headache, so she came to get treatment from the ship's doctor. Fortunately, Chopper had some pills for this sort of thing.
"Take one pill to ease your headache," Chopper said. "IF it persists, take another every hour."
"You're good at this. You know that?"
"Aww…stop it…." Chopper said, doing his weir thing whenever he is embarrassed.
"You know that is still creepy, right?"
"Blake?"
"I'm sorry, Sun." Blake backed away. "I don't feel like it. I'll try again later."
"Hey! Wait!" But Blake ran as fast as she could from him. When she found a place to be alone, she rested her back against a wall and slid down.
'I need to get my mind off these memories.' Blake decided to read a book to help her mind. She reached for one of her books without looking. When she saw the title, she nearly dropped it—history of Remnant.
"So, what's Remnant like?"
Blake looked up from the book she was reading to look at Nico Robin. They sat together on the deck while the others went to town. If it was one thing she shared with Robin, she loved reading. She'd already started on a book about the Rainbow Mist.
"From where we are, we have ships that fly through the sky," Blake explained. "We still have boats for transport by sea."
"I was talking about your home's history," Robin said. "Remnant must have some grand events to remember. I am an archaeologist, after all."
"There's not much to tell," Blake said. "All we remember is a great war that started between four kingdoms. Atlas and Mistral on one side, Vale and Vacuo on the other. When it ended, the academies were created. The rest is lost to us."
"So, you're just like me." She said. "You don't know the full history of the world."
"What do you mean?"
"I'm trying to find a certain Poneglyph." Robin said. "One that tells the true history of the world."
Blake could only stare at the book, tears threatening to pour out. As much as she wanted to, she couldn't just throw it away and forget what happened. It would be like casting away the memories of the Straw Hat Pirates.
Their Nakamas.
While she sat there, her Scroll vibrated.
Ruby grumpily ran behind Weiss, "Come on, quit being a baby, Ruby. I don't smack you that hard…." Her friend said as Ruby puffed her cheek cutely. "Besides, we can't spend any second here. We have Four Emperor as our opponent now…." She said with a serious tone.
Ruby flinched, "Kaidou the King of Beast…." She muttered in thought. "How strong do you think that guy is?" She asked while looking at Weiss' back, unaware that a yellow-haired girl came behind her.
"If we use that old hag, Big Mom, as a measurement stick, then he must be quite a monster," Yang said as Ruby raised her eyebrows.
"Big Mom, is that strong?"
"Very," Yang said as she remembered what happened during the marriage party. "She destroyed a missile filled with poison gas with only her cry, and her skin is so thick that even a blade can't penetrate it. Kaidou should be in the same ballpark as her…." She muttered as Weiss looked unease.
"That makes us we need to find whatever this Vivre Card points at!?" Weiss said as Ruby and Yang nodded. "We need to find it fast, or else Luffy or Zoro will make their problem."
"Agreed!?" Yang and Ruby said in unison. "So which way, Weiss?" Yang asked as Weiss looked at the Vivre Card.
"This way!?" She said as she turned right, followed by the two. Their faces were the happiest they have been to this day. This was the only chance they could meet her friend, and nothing could stop them except…
"This is…" Yang started.
"The Port…" Ruby finished as the trio stood in the port with the sea in front of them. "So… Wano is beyond that sea…." She muttered.
"Might be…" Weiss started while looking at Vivre Card that pointed out at sea in front of them. It should be a heartbreaking moment for them. The chance and hope that they thought possible was the sea, but instead, the trio was laughing. They laughed as loud that the sailor on the port looked at them weirdly as if they were crazy.
"Man… Who would have thought that the answer is so simple…."
"We are idiots…."
"Right. The answer is always there in the sea." Ruby said as she stopped laughing.
"For now, what should we do?" Yang asked.
"We wait till the festivals over…." Weiss said, looking at the two. "We have a break after that. We'll use the time there to find our way back to Wano. It should be a coincidence with the date of our raid to Onigashima." She said.
"But how will we reach Wano fast? We don't even know where we are…." Yang asked again.
Ruby grinned as he stepped in front of Yang and Weiss, "We will find a way," Ruby declared firmly. "IF it's one thing we do is never to give up even if we challenge the sea. After all…" She smiled. "… We're pirates, right?"
"Yahoo! The ship feels like it'll flip over!"
The Straw Hats and RWBY sailed through the stormy sea. Waves crashed against the Going Merry, but she held fast. It wasn't long after they arrived at Loguetown that they got word that it was taken over by the Marines, under the command of Commodore Smoker.
This spelled bad news for them, as he's an enemy to all pirates.
Before they could leave, Luffy got captured by Buggy the Clown, an old enemy of the crew who ate the Chop-Chop fruit. Zoro, Weiss, Ruby, and Sanji tried to rescue him while the others returned to Going Merry. When they got back, they found one of Buggy's goons there.
A beast tamer by the name of Mohji and his pet lion Richie.
To Yang's laughter, he was trying to light the Merry on fire in the rain. IT got even more hilarious when he sent Richie to attack them. Usopp fired an egg at him and he ended up eating it. Long story short, Yang promptly grabbed Richie and tossed him over the edge, Mohji following after him. Then the Marines arrived and attacked, forcing them to disembark.
After a massive gust occurred, Luffy and the others managed to get back, courtesy of the captain. Luffy had used himself as a slingshot and shot them back to the ship.
"You see that light over there?" Nami asked, pointing to a distant light.
"You mean that lighthouse?" Blake asked. Her eyes are more accustomed to the darkness than the others.
"It's known as the light of guidance," Nami said. "The entrance to the Grand Line is up ahead of that light." She turned to the others. "So, what should we do?"
"D-Don't you guys think that entering the Grand Line amid this storm is a bit…." Usopp stammered.
"Oh, man up Usopp," Yang said. "We've come too far to back out now."
"The lady's right," Sanji said as he moved a large barrel to the deck. "We've reached the Grand Line, haven't we? Well, this calls for a celebration."
"What kind?" Ruby asked, thankful that her aura was helping her with the cold rain. She wondered how the Straw Hats got used to this without aura. Though she assumed it was because they're more used to this sort of thing. Sanji didn't answer. Instead, he raised a foot and placed it over the top of the barrel.
"To find All Blue!" RWBY wondered what this was. Then Luffy and Zoro walked over and mimicked Sanji's action.
"To become King of the Pirates!"
"To become the World's Greatest Swordsman!"
Nami smiled and walked over to put her foot on the barrel. "To draw a map of the world!"
"T…t-to become a brave warrior of the seas!" Usopp declared, putting his foot over the barrel.
RWBY smiled at this exchange. Each Straw Hat declares their dreams before they enter the Grand Line. They noticed that there was still space over the barrel. Luffy looked over at them.
"What are you waiting for?" He asked. "Join in!"
"Huh?"
"You guys are part of the crew, right?" Zoro asked to their confused faces. "At least until you get back home. Not to mention that the Marines have already labeled you as part of the crew."
"Are you asking us to join?" Ruby asked. "Like officially?"
"We sure are." Nami nodded.
"Can you hurry up?" Usopp asked. "My leg can't keep this up forever."
"A gentleman waits for a lady Usopp," Sanji scolded. He turned to team RWBY. "Well, ladies?"
None of them were sure about what to do. That is until Ruby suddenly stepped forward and raised her leg. "To become the greatest huntress!" She declared, placing her foot on the barrel. Weiss looked at her partner with surprise before Yang moved forward and did the same.
"To experience the greatest adventure!" She declared.
Weiss looked at Blake, wanting to see how she would respond. To her astonishment, Blake grabbed her ribbon and pulled it off, exposing her Faunus features to the whole world. Blake walked over to where the stunning Straw Hats and her teammates were. "To find equality and peace among all species!" She declared, placing her foot on the barrel.
All eyes are on Weiss now. As much as she didn't want to be a pirate, she became curious about this. Not to mention that there was a dream that she had in mind. Based on the reason she came to Beacon Academy.
She walked over to where they stood and put her heel on the barrel. "To be me!" With that, each of them raised their legs and brought it down on the barrel, breaking it.
Luffy grinned, "To the Grand Line!" He shouted.
Ruby stepped forward and took a deep breath, "I will become the greatest huntsman!?" She shouted in front of the sea.
Weiss smiled and stepped forward too, "I will show the world who Weiss Schnee is!?" She yelled as she smirked.
Yang grinned, "I will pay that hag once again! No fucking way, I will be defeated by her once again." She grinned.
"Don't think just because I'm home that I will stop," Blake said with tears in the corner of her eyes, but her eyes showed fearless instead of sadness. "I will not rest until my friends are safe!" She smiled as they looked at each other.
"Even now, we are still Pirates!" They declared loudly that anyone could hear it.
"Wait, what do you mean? Weiss and Ruby vanished." Usopp asked with missing person notice with the Japanese style of Weiss pictured on it in his hand.
"I-I don't know. Otoko said that Weiss just suddenly vanished, leaving only this." Robin said, showing a golden coin.
"A coin?"
"A golden coin…." Nami's eyes turned berry but then reverted to normal after taking it. "But what does it mean. The same coin was also found in Ruby's bed."
"Whatever it is, it might be a coincidence with why we can't find Yang or Blake?"
"You mean they turned into gold coin too?" Usopp asked panickily.
"Possibility, or they have been kidnapped and tortured by Beast Pirate."
"Stop it, Robin." The two said in unison.
"Whatever it's, Chopper is trying to find them right now, and we should focus on what matters right now," Nami said as the others nodded. Nami looked at Robin, and they both looked worried, they didn't want to say it, but they might know the reason for it.
Weiss once told a story that before they came to their world, Ruby bought a golden coin, and if that golden coin was the one that Ruby bought, it means only one thing. The RWBY was transported back into Remnant.
Nami was sure that Sanji and Zoro had already caught it hence why they vanished from their posts. They must be trying to find the four. Hopefully, her hunch was incorrect.
Another chapter is done. To be honest, I decided to post another chapter early because of how much promise this story holds. I can't wait to do more.
