AN: Hey everyone, I have the next chapter here. We have a double special of Blake's gym battle and Weiss's Contest challenge. This one was a lot of fun for the interaction and battles. However, I do like the revelations that happen here, as well a certain caller that you will hear in the middle. Hope you enjoy this chapter, leave a review with your comments and questions, and have a nice day.

Chapter 41 – The Show Must Go On
Blake opened another door to the gym, now entering a massive arena. To her right, she saw a viewing area with Hilda sitting down, who waved, "Hey, how was the haunted house?" the hotheaded trainer asked.
"Well, I made it through without having to battle anything." Blake answered, then spoke in a soft voice, "But I would not call it a haunted house." She then looked over to see a referee in a white and light blue tuxedo, "Is the gym leader here?"
"Yes, she simply likes to make an entrance," the referee said before gesturing to his right, "Please welcome to the stage, our Hearthome City gym leader, Fantina!" he said with Blake turning to see a massive set of doors opening.
Emerging was the silhouette of a woman in a large purple dress, matching her hair that was tied into four protruding buns, "Ohohoho," She laughed, then lifted her right leg high before twirling onto the arena in an elegant spin, "It seems as though a challenger has appeared." The gym leader said before stopping at her position on the battlefield, taking a stance with her left hand on her hip and her right arm extended outward, "Very well, let us engage in a lovely dance."
"A dance?" Blake commented.
"Oui, C'est une performance." Fantina spoke in an accent, "Our Pokemon are not the only ones on stage, that is why I dress this way."
"Does that make her outfit a combat skirt as well?" Hilda said with half-open eyes.
"I'm here for a gym battle, not a dance," Blake responded as she readied a Pokeball.
"Oh, so you wish to challenge me in such a vulgar way. Such a beast!" Fantina responded, taking out her Pokeball, "But I shall win. That is what a gym leader does, non?"
"The match will be a three-on-three battle between the challenger, Blake Belladonna, and the gym leader, Fantina." The referee announced, "You may begin!"
"Gengar, take c'est stage." Fantina said as she tossed out her Pokeball, revealing a shadow creature with red eyes.
"Gen," Gengar spoke with a wide smile.
"Espurr, I need your help!" Blake said as she tossed out her restraint Pokemon.
"Es," Espurr said as he adjusted his bow.
"My, what a cute little one." Fantina commented, "Have you considered entering a contest?"
"I'm not here to put him on display," Blake said before scowling, "It's my friend that is in the contest, while I am here to win."
"Hm, is it stage fright?" Fantina asked, causing Blake to grit her teeth, "I see, very well." she then smiled before extending her right arm, "You may lead."
"Espurr, use Disarming Voice!" Blake called out.
"ES!" the restraint Pokemon yelled, but the sound waves did nothing to
"Gengengen," Gengar chuckled.
"I may be a ghost-type gym leader, but my Gengar is also a poison-type." Fantina said before pointing, "Let me show you, use Sludge Bomb." She said with the shadow Pokemon unleashing an orb of poison from its mouth.
"Light Screen!" Blake said with Espurr putting up a forcefield to block the attack, "Now Double Team." She said with the clones of Espurr surrounding the shadow Pokemon.
"Bien, but that is not enough!" Fantina responded, "Use Shadow Punch!" She said with Gengar sinking into the ground. Behind one of the clones Espurr's, Gengar emerged with a punch to the restraint pokemon's face, revealing it to be the real one, "The move is guaranteed to hit!"
"Tsk," Blake gritted her teeth, "Espurr, use Psyshock!" she said with the restraint Pokemon unleash the psychic stone assault.
"Gen!" Gengar recoiled at the stones colliding with his body.
"Magnifique," Fantina spoke, then smirked, "But you have left yourself wide open." She said as Espurr was still in the air, "Now, Shadow Claw!"
"Gen," Gengar then rushed Espurr, who could not dodge as he was slashed but the dark energy arms that formed around the shadow pokemon's right arm. The restraint Pokemon was launched into the ground, creating a dust cloud. Once it settled, Gengar landed with Espurr on his back with swirling eyes, "Gengengen!"
"Espurr is unable to battle," the referee announced.
"Oh no, I'm sorry," Blake said as she recalled Espurr to its Pokeball.
"If this is how you intend to show me your pokemon's potential." Fantina spoke before posing, "You will not stand a ghost of a chance, Ohohoho!" she laughed with Blake scowling.
"You-" Blake said as she clenched her fists, "Then, here is my ghost-type, Shedinja!"
"Uh Blake," Hilda spoke, "You sure about that one?"
"I am," Blake responded, "Go, use Shadow Claw"
"Gengar, Shadow Claw as well!" Fantina said with Gengar rushing in as well. The two ghosts Pokemon grew out their dark energy claws that clashed with one another, "Now c'est une dance!" the gym leader said as she watched Gengar and Shedinja clashing claws, levitating in the sky as they each tried to land a definitive hit, "But again, you leave yourself exposed, Shadow Punch!" She said as Gengar formed a shadow fist on his other arm, then punch Shedinja in the chest. Blake gasped as the shed Pokemon fell to the ground, unmoving from its one hit.
"Shedinja is unable to battle," the referee announced.
"Blake, that Wonder Guard ability means that only super-effective moves will hit," Hilda spoke, "And a ghost is super effective against ghost… for some reason."
"Darn it," Blake as she recalled the second fainted Pokemon.
"You are down to one, ma chérie." Fantina said with Blake gritting her teeth, "If you still intend to win, you will have to do better than this."
"I will win, I have to," Blake said as she took out her last Pokeball, "Please, lead me your strength." She said before tossing out the Pokeball, "Go, Absol!"
"Sol!" the white ram Pokemon appeared.
"My, such a lovely coat," Fantina commented, "But she will have to face three ghost types." She said before pointing, "Gengar, Shadow Claw!"
"Gen!" Gengar rushed in with a dark energy right arm.
"Absol, Night Slash!" Blake called out.
"Sol!" Absol rushed in with its left front paw glowed with a black aura. The two pokemon's attacks collided, resulting in a pulsation of dark energy. However, the white ram pokemon's attack won out as Gengar was slashed across the chest.
"Gen!" Gengar said while being launched, landing on its back, "Gen…gar…"
"Gengar is unable to battle." The referee declared.
"Nooooooo!" Fantina whaled with her hands on her cheeks.
"…You don't have to be that dramatic," Blake commented, "I am just here for a gym badge, not a show,"
"…" Fantina looked on then sighed, "Ms. Belladonna was it; you must learn to relax." She said while recalling her Pokemon, "The more stressed you are, the more stressed your Pokemon will be." She said with a scowl forming, "And that will not be good for the health of either of you." She said with a smile, "So, let's have some fun, and enjoy this dance, non?"
Blake gasped, then sighed before looking down, "You're right, this isn't good for my health." She said before looking back with a smile, "I'm not going to hold my Pokemon back by being stressed anymore. We're going to win this."
"Well, that was fast," Hilda commented.
"It wasn't the first time I've had this conversation," Blake responded she said before looking back to Fantina, "And this isn't my first dance."
"I see, so you are ready to continue?" Fantina said with Blake nodding, "Very well, time to take c'est stage, Mismagius!" she said with a purple ghost appearing, one with yellow eyes and part of its head shaped like a witch's hat. Hilda took out her Pokedex to scan the new Pokemon, "Mismagius: the magical Pokemon." The Pokedex spoke, "Its cries sound like incantations to torment the foe. Those hearing it are tormented by headaches and hallucinations. It appears where you least expect it."
"We need to be on our guard," Blake spoke to her Pokemon, "Night Slash!"
"Sol!" Absol responded, but her body flashed in a dark aura, "Sol?"
"What?" Blake said in astonishment.
"Blake, it looks like that Gengar had the Cursed Body ability." Hilda said as she checked her Pokedex, "A move that makes physical contact will be disabled for a short while."
"Oh no," Blake gritted her teeth, knowing that was her strongest dark move.
"Oui, now you will have to, how they say," Fantina said with a smirk, "Think outside c'est box." She said before pointing, "Mismagius, use magical leaf."
"Mis," Mismagius said before radiating a circle of purple leaves, then firing them at Absol.
"Dodge it!" Blake called out, causing the white ram Pokemon to move out of the way of the assault.
"Not so fast, there is more magic to be had," Fantina said with a twirl, "Use Mystical Fire!"
"Mis!" Mismagius said before manifesting a flame from its body, then launched it at Absol. The white ram Pokemon continued to dodge but was soon surrounded by the blaze.
Blake gasped as Fantina smirked, "And now for de piece de la resistance, Dazzling Gleam!"
"Magius!" Mismagius said before launching another high-powered wave of pink light. The attack collided with Absol, mixing with the other fire and grass moves, creating a massive plume of smoke, "Mis," Mismagius spoke with a grin, but then gasped as Absol reappeared, "Magius?"
"What!? But that was a direct attack!?" Fantina spoke before seeing the faint image of a barrier around the white ram Pokemon, "That Light Screen, it was still active."
"Absol, use Knock Off." Blake as Absol smack Mismagius to the ground, "Now for our new move," she said before pointing, "Use Psycho Cut!"
"Ab," Absol said as she positioned her head, causing the horn to glow in a pink light, "Sol!" she said before swinging her head, causing the pink energy to rip out of the horn in an air-splitting wave. It collided with Mismagius, passing through its body down the center. The magical Pokemon then fell backward with swirling eyes.
"Mismagius is unable to battle." The referee announced.
"Nooooooo!" Fantina whaled with her hands on her cheeks again.
"Nice job, it's all tied up!" Hilda said from the sidelines.
"Thanks," Blake responded with a nod, then turning back to the match, "But it's not over yet."
"Oui," Fantina said as she recalled her fainted Pokemon, "We are simply in the final act of c'est performance." She said while reading a Pokeball, "Go Drifblim!" she said as a purple balloon Pokemon in the shape of a blimp was seen. It had red dot-like eyes. On top of its head was a cloud that looks like puffy hair, and its yellow cross-shaped mouth match the accessory on Fantina's hip, Hilda pulled out her Pokedex as she saw its entry, "Drifblim, the blimp Pokemon. It drifts along at dusk, perfectly silent. Its transient, melancholy aspect touches some people deeply—every so often, one will come upon a song or poem devoted to Drifblim."
"We hit the last one out of the air, we can do it again!" Blake said as she pointed, "Use Knock Off!"
"Sol!" Absol said as she leaped into the air.
"Let's show them, Phantom Force." Fantina as Drifblim's eyes glowed a light purple, causing its body to fade away before Absol's claw could hit it.
"Sol?" Absol said in the confusion of the miss, then landed on the floor while examining the area.
"Where did it-" Blake said before realizing it, "Behind you, it's in your shadow!"
"Ab?" the white ram Pokemon said as Drifblim emerged behind Absol from the shadow, striking her with its four cloth-like arms, "Sol!" Absol said as she was flung aside.
"Now, Will-O-Wisp!" Fantina added to her attacks, causing Drifblim to unleash a blue flame from its body.
Absol was still trying to recover before the fire attack collided with her right side, leaving a massive burn mark, "SOL!" Absol recoiled in pain.
"Quick, use Psycho Cut!" Blake called out.
"Absol!" the white ram Pokemon said while unleashing the cutting attack.
"Phantom Force!" Fantina said as Drifblim vanished again.
"Not this time," Blake called out, "Absol, watch your shadow and wait for the moment to attack with Knock Off."
"Sol," Absol nodded before watching her shadow.
"My, did you this it was that simple." Fantina snickered, "This is Phantom Force, not Shadow Force." She said as the ground grew darker in some spots near Absol but where the white ran Pokemon was not looking. Before Blake could warn, her Pokemon was struck again by the ghost-type move, "Now, Hex!" the gym leader said as Drifblim unleashed a dark wave of energy that encompassed Absol.
"Absol!" the white ram Pokemon said as she pushed off the ghost-type attack, followed by the Light Screen finally fading away, "Ab…Ab…" Absol panted as she wobbled, then glared at Drifblim, who then faded away in another Phantom Force.
"This is not good; we need to dodge the next move." Blake thought, "With my semblance, I just had to leave a shadow behind to catch my opponent off guard. Now, I have to fight something that is using a stronger version of my semblance." Suddenly, the shadowy girl gasped, "That's it, if it's like my semblance and fighting style." Blake said before smirking, "Then I already know how to counter it." She said before pointing, "Absol, you have to wait until Drifblim reappeared to react and dodge."
"Sol?" Absol questioned.
"If your opponent is hiding, it is because they are waiting for the right moment to attack." Blake called out, "Don't give them that opening and let them make the first move." She said before clenching her fists, "Just wait and listen."
"Ab…" Absol said before nodding, then waited. She closed her eyes and listened to her surroundings. In the gym, not a sound was made. Suddenly, a small noise was made as the blimp Pokemon reappeared behind Absol to strike, "Sol!" Absol said as she flipped to dodge, causing Drifblim to gasp. The white ram Pokemon stared back, opening its eyes, but with a blue glow in them.
"Now, Knock Off!" Blake said as Absol struck Drifblim overhead, seeing the blimp Pokemon back.
"Those eyes, your Absol was using Detect!" Hilda spoke as Absol.
"My, you two are full of surprises," Fantina responded with Blake smirking, "But this is the last dance, use Acrobatics." She said a Drifblim rushed in.
"Absol, Detect!" Blake called with Absol's eyes glowing blue. She dodges each wild rush of Drifblim's acrobatics. The two Pokemon seemingly dashed through the arena like it was a stage, avoiding the assault. However, the white ram pokemon's burn took its toll as she started to reach her limit, "Wait for the right moment to strike."
"That will not happen," Fantina responded, "I already know how your attack patterns work, you will not be able to hit us again."
"Are you sure?" Blake said as Fantina had a look of confusion, "Because, I think enough time has passed." She said before pointing, "Absol, use Night Slash!"
Absol dodged one last strike of acrobatics, then aimed its front right paw, "SOL!" she said before slashing Drifblim in the yellow cross on its body, landing a critical hit. The blimp Pokemon was sent flying back before bouncing all over the gym and landing in the center of the arena. Once the dust settled, Fantina's last Pokemon lay with swirling eyes.
"Drifblim is unable to battle," the referee announced before pointing to the shadowy girl, "The winner is Blake!"
"You did it!" Hilda cheered with Blake smiling. The shadowy girl then ran over to a near-fainting Absol, catching her before her legs gave it. Blake smiled at her white ram Pokemon, who smile back.
Blake then saw Fantina approach, who had just recalled Drifblim, "That was a lovely performance, truly magnifique!" she said before offering the shadowy girl the reward for her victory, "Take it, you have earned this, the Relic Badge." She said as Blake saw the badge of three purple circles interlocked by a fourth circle.
"Thank you very much," Blake said as she took the badge. Then turned to see Hilda approaching.
"That makes three," Hilda said, "One more and you're in the league."
"If you do not mind, I may know of a region you can head to." Fantina commented, "Kalos is one of my favorite locations." She said before looking down at Absol, "And there is a place where your bond with this Pokemon can reach a new level of power."
"A new level, like an evolution?" Blake asked.
"Well, something close to that." Fantina responded, then winked, "You will have to see to find out."
"Thank you for the advice," Blake responded with a nod, then recalled Absol, "But, I need to stay here for my friend to get her badge in this region too."
"Yeah, and Weiss should be in the final round of the contest too." Hilda responded, "If she didn't get stage fright. Or the audience doesn't like ice queens." She said before looking back at Fantina, who was confused at that something, "You okay?"
"Just, that name," Fantina responded, "Does she know a man named Nicolas?"
"Who?" Hilda asked, "I don't think she ever mentioned that name." She said before looking the Blake, "Is that like her boyfriend or someone?"
"No…however," Blake said before looking back to Fantina, "Does he have a last name?" she asked with the answer causing Blake and Hilda to gasp at the answer.
Meanwhile.
"Feebas, use Scald." Weiss called out on stage, "And Vulpix, use Aurora Beam." She said as the hot water collided with a green and white ballerina Pokemon and the beam of light hit a large butterfly Pokemon with colorful wings. Her opponent's Pokemon fainted as a monitor showed a yellow circle fully fading away.
"And by knockout, we have a winner," the announcer said before pointing to the white heiress, "Advancing to the final round will be Weiss Schnee!" he said with the crowd cheering in excitement.
Weiss waved back before she recalled her Pokemon. She then walked backstage but saw a young girl in a red dress with blond twin-tailed hair, "It looks like you will be my opponent in the final round." She said before bowing, "Allow me to introduce myself, I am Veronica Ivano, a top Coordinator of Sinnoh."
"Coordinator, that must be their equivalent to gym challengers." Weiss thought before speaking, "Well, I would be honored to fight the best."
"Oh, the pleasure is all mine," Veronica said before walking away, "It will be wonderful to beat someone with that name."
"What?" Weiss said as the woman in the red dress walked away.
Before the white heiress could follow up, an attendee approached her, "Congratulations, I will heal your Pokemon for the final round." The attendee spoke.
"Oh, thank you," Weiss said as she offered the pokeballs.
The attendee nodded before giving a device to the white heiress, "Also, you have a call." She said with Weiss having a look of confusion.
"Is it Blake or Hilda?" Weiss asked.
"Uh, she did not give her name," the attendee said, "But she was very adamant about talking to you."
Weiss was still confused as she took the phone, "Hello?" she spoke while the attendee walked away.
"Weiss!?" the voice at the other end said, causing the white heiress's eyes to widen in shock.
"Y-Yang?" Weiss spoke with tears in her eyes, "Is that really your voice?"
"Yes!" Yang responded, her voice also heavy with emotion, "I finally found you!"
"How did you-?" Weiss responded.
"I saw your performance," Yang said before having a slight giggle in her voice, "So, you caught a fox and fish Pokemon?"
"Hehehehe, well, what did you think it?" Weiss responded holding her head high, "Weren't we amazing?"
"Yeah," Yang responded, "Listen, do you know where the others are?"
"Well, I-" Weiss was saying as the attendee returned.
"Your Pokemon are healed and ready for the next round," The attendee said, "Please return to the stage for the final round."
"Thanks, but I'm kind of busy right now," Weiss responded as she took back her Pokemon.
"I can hold the call," The attendee said, "I can even set up the video camera for you."
"R-really," Weiss said.
"Weiss, you can go." Yang said as she overheard, "I'll be watching, and I won't hang up."
"…Okay, you better not." Weiss responded, a smile on her face, "Or when I find you, you're gonna regret it!" she before handing the phone back to the attendee, then walked back onto the stage.
The crowd waited as a spotlight shined on the announcer, "Ladies and Gentlemen, we are in the final round of the beauty contest." The announcer spoke before pointing to his left, causing a spotlight to shine "On this side, we have our crimson princess, Veronica Ivano!" he said as she stood with her arms crossed, smirking at her opponent. The announcer then gestured to his right, causing another spotlight to shine, "And on this end, it is our ice queen herself, Weiss Schnee!" he said with the white heiress scoffing, expecting that to be her title here, "As before, the matches are two on two. A winner is declared if both opposing Pokemon faint," he said before pointing to the monitor, "Or you run out of points based on our judges. And if the five-minute timer runs out, then whoever has the most points on the scoreboard wins." He said before raising his right hand, then bringing it down, "Begin!"
"Feebas, Vulpix, this is it!" Weiss said as she tossed out her fish and snow fox Pokemon.
"Remoraid, Vulpix, time to show your stuff," Veronica said as she tossed out her Pokemon, showing a version of the snow fox Pokemon but with a red coat of fur. The light blue fish Pokemon that appeared before was in an odd shape, resembling that of a revolver, "Now Vulpix, use Flame Burst!"
"Vul!" the red fox Pokemon said before launching a ball of flame from its mouth.
"Feebas, use Scald!" Weiss countered.
"Fee!" the fish Pokemon said as she shot hot water from her mouth. The two attacks collided with an eruption of steam in the middle of the arena.
"Break through the steam with Aurora Beam," Weiss added.
"Vul!" the snow fox said as she unleashed the beam of light from her mouth. However, the beam collided with another aurora beam. The two collided with an explosion that cleared the area of steam.
"What?" Weiss said before seeing Remoraid with an aura around its mouth, "That fish knows Aurora Beam?"
"That isn't the only beam she knows." Veronica responded then pointed, "Remoraid, show her Charge Beam!"
"Rem!" Remorid said before unleashing a bolt of electricity from its mouth that collided with Feebas.
Weiss gasped as she lost a good chunk of points, "Tsk, Vulpix, use Confuse Ray on Remoraid." She said as her Vulpix unleashed an orb of light that hit Remoraid, causing the gun fish Pokemon to wobble.
While her score decreased, Veronica smiled as she pointed, "Remorid, fire Bubble Beam, Aurora Beam, and Charge Beam." She said as her Pokemon unleashed all three attacks, but none of them hit any target. The crimson princess's score fell more, but she smiled again, "Vulpix, use Extrasensory on the beams!"
"What?" Weiss said as the red fox pokemon's eyes glowed purple. Suddenly, all the beams glowed in the same color, then started to form interlocking rings in the sky of bubbles, light, and electricity.
"VUL!" Veronica's Vulpix said before all three beams she controlled plunged towards Weiss's Vulpix and Feebas, creating a massive explosion.
"Feebas, Vulpix!" Weiss called out in panic as her Pokemon struggled to get back up, her score went down to less than a third.
"Face it, you should not have come here," Veronica said before glaring at Feebas, "Especially with such an ugly Pokemon."
"The only thing ugly here is your personality," Weiss responded.
"Ohohoho, that's rich coming from an Ice Queen like yourself," Veronica spoke, then scowled, "I'll make you pay for that gym leader's attitude."
"What Gym leader?" Weiss responded, then glanced at the time ticking down, "You know what, doesn't matter." She said before pointing, "Vulpix, use Ice Shard. Feebas, use Scald. Aim for Remoraid." She said her Pokemon unleashed their respective moves on the confused gun fish Pokemon.
"Vulpix, use Extrasensory on Remoraid," Veronica said as the red fox Pokemon focused on her partner. Remoraid got covered in a psychic aura, allowing it to move out of the way of the hits with the control of its body.
"Rem," Remoraid shook its head before recovering from the confusion.
"Now for the show ender," Veronica said with a pose, "Vulpix, use Fire Spin on Remoraid." She said as the red fox Pokemon spat fire that collided around the gun fish Pokemon, "And Remoraid use bubble beam!" the crimson princesses said as her Pokemon unleashed a stream of bubbles again. However, they were coated in the fire as that rocketed at Weiss's Vulpix, the inside of the orbs also igniting with a fire.
An explosion occurred at Weiss's end of the arena, causing her points to fall to near a tenth of what was left. However, as the dust settled, it was not Vulpix that was hit, but the fish Pokemon that had protected her partner, "Feebas!" Weiss called out as her Pokemon struggled to get up.
"It should just stay down," Veronica called out, "Pokemon Contests are no place for the ugly." She said before scowling at Weiss, "Or the worthless." The crimson princesses said as Weiss lowered her head.
"…No," Weiss responded before giving an ice glare, "Another person's worth? That is not for you to decide." She said before clenching her fists, "And that's also true for my pokemon's beauty." She said as Feebas continued to push herself up with Vulpix's help, "I know for a fact, that my Pokemon's true beauty is something you could never understand!" Weiss declared at Feebas's eyes flared in passion, causing its body to glow white as Vulpix jump back.
Feebas body grew massive, but its form was slender with a snakelike body and fanned tail. The body was a tan color, but the tail was blue, and the hairlike sales near its head were red, "Miii!" she Pokemon in a soothing voice, then glared at Veronica with an icy stare, matching that of Weiss's expression.
"It evolved into Milotic!?" Veronica said before noticing her score went down to below half, "Tsk, Remoraid, use Charge Beam!"
"Rem," the gun fish Pokemon said before unleashing the stream of electricity from its mouth. However, Milotic dodged the beam as it hovered through the air, the scales gleaming as it skated past the electricity. Once within range, the tender Pokemon whipped its body, causing its tail to become encompassed in water. The tail strike launched Remoraid back with an intense wave of force that ran over the arena, "Rem!"
"Was that aqua tail!?" Veronica said as her score fell to fourth remaining, "No, I will not lose!" She said through her teeth before pointing, "Vulpix, use Extrasensory on Milotic!" the crimson princess said as her red fox pokemon's eyes glowed again, causing the psychic aura to appear around Milotic. However, it was her own Vulpix that was encompassed in the aura as well, "Huh?"
"I should thank you for one thing," Weiss said as her Vulpix had the same glowing eyes, "You taught my Vulpix a new move as well." She said as Veronica gasped before the red fox Pokemon was flung back, causing Milotic to be freed, "But for disrespecting my Pokemon, I can never forgive you." The ice queen said before pointing, "Vulpix, use Aurora Beam on Milotic."
"Vul!" the snow fox Pokemon said as it fired the beam of light towards Milotic's body. However, the tender Pokemon was not damaged as its scales glowed in the light, building at the tail.
"And now, Milotic use Aqua Tail!" Weiss called out.
"Miii!" Milotic said as its body whipped to slam its tail between the two opponents. However, the splash from the aqua tail and the aurora exploded in a wave that washed over both Remoraid and Vulpix. They fainted on the ground as Milotic posed, the water from the attack creating a rainbow that she basked in its. Veronica was left with her jaw hanging open, falling to her knees as her score dropped to zero.
"We have a victor," the announcer spoke, "Your Beauty Category Contest Winner is Weiss Schnee," he said as he stood over to the white heiress, "Tell me, is there something you want to say to the people of the world."
"Right now, just to one," Weiss said before looking at the camera aimed at her, "We'll see you real soon."
AN: There you go, a double dose of victories. On Blake's side, despite a bumpy start, she pulled out the win against Fantina. She was a fun gym leader to write, and I got to even sneak in some French here and there, (Can I also say they could have given Blake a French accent in the dub. If Velvet can be British for no reason, then Blake should have been French too. I don't know, I think it could have been a Joey situation, it might have worked). There is also a hint at what may await Blake and her Absol down the line. The ending reveals something that I will explain next chapter, but some of you have already figured it out. On Weiss side, after an off-screen win, she gets an unexpected call from Yang. With the extra motivation, our little Ice Queen managed to pull out a contest win against Veronica, (OC for this storyline, may have her come back later as she does hint at some character). With an evolved Milotic and a new move on Vulpix too, she is making her way up. Now, after over forty chapters, it is time for two of the three groups to finally meet again. That is all for now, thanks for reading, and hope to see you in the next chapter.
